Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Catastrophe Theory | Catastrophe Theory was formed in the early 1980's by high school friends Jowi Taylor, Gordon Nicholson and Bob Esplin as an experimental basement group using tape loops, crude electronics, found objects, handmade and conventional instruments. Jowi and Gordon reformed the group in 1984 and began recording the first cassette, Debris (1985) which went to #31 on the CKLN Top 100 of 1985. Through the nascent fanzine and international community-radio network, Debris went on to critical success at independent radio stations and magazines in cities from Chicago to Stockholm. The second release, Day Rides a Tiger (1986) introduced samplers into the studio palette and resulted in even greater success locally, nationally and internationally. The cassette finished at #1 on the cassette chart at CKLN in 1987 and reached # 8 in the overall Top 100. In 1989, music from Day Rides a Tiger and additional new music was used in the documentary film The Iconoclast: The Images of Richard Slye by Michael Connelly and Malcolm Harris. The documentary aired in Canada on TVO, TFO, VisionTV, Knowledge Network and other cable services as well as PBS affiliates in the United States. In 1993, Catastrophe Theory was commissioned by Harbourfront Centre in Toronto to compose original music for the Canada Day celebrations. The project was a collaboration with the pyrotechnic firm Perfomance Pyrotechnics Associates of Toronto and St. Louis. The resulting piece, Fire:Work debuted before an estimated audience of 10,000 to rave reviews on July 1st, 1993. Jowi and Gordon's reputation for sporadic collaborative creative outbursts has meant a bare trickle since 1993. The latest single, ThunderPrint was in development for approximately three years before being released on an Impact Magazine sampler in 1995. (taken from http://www3.sympatico.ca/e-jowi/cas.html) | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Autonome Republik 2b | 2B, the former branch of the Den Briel and Vester textile factory, was squatted in 1984 by a group of artists united in the Zesde Kolonne Foundation, founded in the same year. Until May 2002, this place in the center of Eindhoven was a hotbed of independent art and culture. Independent of the culture of power and money, but with its own face, which harked back to the age-old syndicalist-anarchist ideas. This may seem anachronistic in these times of liberal capitalism and opportunism, but in the broader perspective of humanitarian development we believe that socialism, adapted to the then prevailing spirit of the times, will be a decisive factor in the positive development of humanity. In the meantime, during this interwar period of confusion and fundamentalist chaos, let this website make its modest contribution to keeping this idea alive. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Mister Drey | Born and raised in the outskirts of Bologna (Granarolo), Mr. Drey was, (and it's a pity when this is not remembered), an enfant prodige of the teen punk scene (with No Hope) and with the ska/reggae/high school rocksteady (Urka, Explanation of Palmas). The notoriety of these bands brought him no lucky occasions nor any good. Gradually isolating himself from the musical scenes of the time (due to continuous inevitable and urgent approaches to the revolutionary theory), he became uninterested in the musical production until the fortuitous listening (on night-time local radio stations) to avantguarde sounds, appreciated especially for their hypnotic power. This led him to the first autonomous composition experiments, resulting in various half hour simil-ambient composition cassetes of which no one will ever know anything about. One of these is another young granarolese outsider, Mattia (now the owner of Niggaville), with whom home recordings are started to pass the time, and which will introduce him to one of the first formations of SLP, period which he practically doesn't remember at all. After having again disappeared due to trying to live as Theodore Kaczynski, he accidentally resumes touch with SLP and begins rehearsing with them at the XM24 test room. There will also be a parallel and brief (but magical) intermission with Dadatzara Kamagauna ( together with the already known Mattia and with Davide, the current SLP bass player). SLP will move ever so fast towards the making of Studio Album, which will see him engaged behind the skins. But a little after this seminal recording, he again slowly disappears (together with Derek Dick Decio) to try to live as William Burroughs. Discouraged and semi-isolated he again begins working on his own material and discovers the use of the laptop and of Audacity, which will bring him to sporadic and expected imitations of Christian Fennesz. Resuming touch with SLP he doesn't fortify his position in the band rather an alliance on higher theoretical positions almost never openly expressed. He no longer plays with SLP but he collaborates and his on friendly terms with them. He produces Derek Dick Decio's first disc and is part of Achievements. He likes melody, the beautiful one (or the stretched one) and only operates in this view. He would like to be like Fennesz and Tarentel together, but at the end he makes music only to learn how to better use the softwares and to be able to delete the pieces when he no longer likes them, that is after little time. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Cancelore | Cancelore was born in 1981 near by Chemnitz, Germany. Already at young age, he started listening to his fathers music collection, which was embossed by Jazz and Bossa Nova or got influenced by his mothers love for Harry Belafonte. This laid the foundation for his deep sense of music, which you can hear down to the present day. But also Techno, Funk & all that Soul, Hip-Hop and Punk'n'Roll played a big role within his musical development. The year "Homework" was a turning point in his life where he mainly focused on techno and house music and started off producing. DJ-ing followed shortly after that and contributed to improve his skills and knowledge of quality music. Nowadays you can still find this slight breeze of jazz but also the roots of house music in his music style. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Vodku | World-music group from Hungary originally founded in 1992 as Vodku V Glotku, but soon shortened their name to Vodku. The goal of the band is to introduce the folk music of the nations throughout Central and Eastern Europe, mixed with its own musical concepts. The dominant elements in the music of the band are Hungarian, Jewish, Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, as well as other folk motives from Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkanes. This is mixed with the elements of rock, jazz and other progressive musical styles. As a result, a musical world is created on the stage, which would sound like home to many nations inhabiting the Central and Eastern European region. The band is on hiatus since 2017. Members thru the years: Bede Sarolta, Szabó Árpád, Takács Szabolcs, Bakos Csaba, Bata István, Vázsonyi János, Nemes János, Nedeczky Júlia, Szeredás Lőrinc, Ruthner Gábor, Kiss Attila | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Eurago Arktur | The four musicians from Eurago Arktur are not at all unknown faces in the regional metal scene. Peter Danilov (vocals), Kai Schmidt (guitar), Rico Bartels (bass) and René Kaminsky (drums) can look back on many years of band and stage experience. In 2018, the four met for the first time to bring their diverse musical roots together under a new banner. The result should be a fresh style of its own within the divergent genre of metal. Progressive metal coupled with classical elements meets jazzy chords, orchestral sounds and djent. Intricate guitar riffs blur with catchy melodies and atmospheric soundscapes. Eurago Arktur create an impressive overall picture from a musical mosaic. With their debut album "The Maze Of Faith" the four musicians are not going astray, no, they are lyrically and musically guiding the listener along the obscure path of a man tormented by fate. In seven heavy songs, the listener accompanies the protagonist on his search for redemption ... | |

We are in love with the artform of creating and performing music, and we want to take our show on the road, baby! Fortunately, a little ol' fair in Alaska has asked us to come on up to share our tunes with folks there. We're ECSTATIC to actually be getting to see this very big dream become reality! Five of us will be piling into one van, making stops all the way up the west coast, arriving in Seattle, where we will leave the van, hop on a plane to Juneau, and another plane (or possibly ferry), to take us to the remote destination of Haines, AK to play the Southeast Alaska State Fair! After that adventure, we'll be relocating to Seattle, WA indefinitely to work on recording our next album with Carla Torgerson of The Walkabouts and Subpop record label. Check out our show dates, drop us a line, and hopefully we'll see you in the future! Cheers! | Search | Add | 3 | Gary Hector | Gary Hector (born March 11, 1963) is a singer-songwriter based in Trinidad & Tobago. Forming [a4916381] in 1990, Hector became a pioneering voice of Trinidad's alternative rock scene, writing his very first song, "Arrest Arrest," about the Jamaat al Muslimeen coup attempt which occurred that year. The song was released as a single in 1991, backed with the equally political "Red House." Its message, filled with references to the event, deeply resonated with local listeners through regular airplay on Radio Tempo. The band was also the first to have a nationally-broadcasted music video for their single, which was shown on Trinidad & Tobago Television (TTT). In 1993, the band signed with US-based indie label Nerve Records and released another single, "Bright And Early Monday Morning," this time sticking to broader subject matter about everyday life. Their debut mini-album, Localize It (a play on the Peter Tosh song "Legalize It"), appeared in 1994, compiling their previous material with new songs. Despite the band's following continuing to increase, Nerve Records folded, and Oddfellows Local disbanded in 1995. In 1996, Hector formed another band, [a4083858], creating a unique identity that blended calypso, punk, folk, and rock. Jointpop became Hector's longest and most successful endeavor, comprising eight albums and an extensive touring record across the Caribbean, US and UK before disbanding in 2019. Since 2020, Hector expanded his palate and following with his country-inspired solo album, National Trash, and has since released singles for his forthcoming album, Memphis Medicine.

Using mainly synthesizers to create constantly evolving sound, each Nada performance fluctuates between drone and pure waves evoking altered states of consciousness, daydreaming, sonic meditation and cosmic kitsch. The members of this ever-changing collective prefer to stay anonymous and meet at non-fixed intervals of time, indetermination being at the heart of their approach. |

| Search | Add | 3 | DJ Robson Vidal | Brazilian DJ and Music Producer. At the age of 13, he started partying at friends' playgrounds until he was invited by Paulo Lima (owner of the turbo disco club team) to fill a vacancy for a speaker loader and illuminator. Seeing in me the awakening and the enchantment that I had for the figure of the Dj on the dance floors and for the interest that I had shown, he was the first to give me an opportunity as a Dj in a team so famous and respected until today, TURBO DISCO CLUB (Atlas and Mackenzie clubs in Méier). Shortly thereafter, it also gave me the opportunity to start working on radio with the invitation to run an evening radio program on TROPICAL FM 104.5 called "Saturday Party". From then on the doors were opened and he was invited to work at Manhattan Disco (one of the most prestigious dance clubs in RJin season ). Always wearing a cap on his head, DJ Robson Vidal is appointed as one of the biggest names of the night in Rio and became famous after being the first DJ of a dance music program in the afternoon, with Adrenalinaon radio Transamérica-RJ (audience leader at the time). He also worked on Tropical FM, Manchete FM, and Jovem Pan FM RJ radio stations. He stood out as a music producer and composer of successful themes such as the famous opening of Planeta Xuxa called GIRO DO PLANETA (the only opening of the program that became successful on all dance floors in Brazil), with the partnership of Daniel Figueiredo and Abdullah in composition. He produced several successful remixes, especially Milk, Toast and Honey - Roxette, the only Brazilian remix approved by the band itself. In addition, in his studio, he produces several musical styles.Vidal took part as a DJ for 4 years in one of Rede Globo's most watched programs (Planeta XUXA), alongside Queen Xuxa.He is responsible for the creation of the unique musical style called “TEKNOBEAT”, a rhythm that exploded in Brazil and abroad through Teknobeat Radio Hit (internet radio specialized in the style he created). His sets are full of hits, news and exclusive versions whether at Electro House or Teknobeat, performing at various parties, shows and nightclubs inside and outside the country. | |

Heavily influenced by Italo disco, old school electro, and Hi NRG (Patrick Cowley, Giorgio Moroder, Paul Hardcastle, Newcleus, Egyptian Lover) but also balanced and informed by the spacey sounds of '70s German kosmische musik and early New Age (Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Michel Genest et al), Magenta Vice offer a wide range of moods and BPM’s with a sound that tries to blend past and present in their own way.
