Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | The Kapp Ivory Project | Kapp and Rachel met in Detroit in 1989 not long after Kapp came back from touring with The Winans and Rachel was still doing track dates with Kiara, an Arista recording artist. Kapp and Rachel started recording in various studios around the city trying to develop their own unique sound, but then decided to establish their own studio for greater consistency and accessibility. In the early 1990's, Rachel topped the state and performed on Star Search with Ed McMahon, where she reached the semi-finals. In the meantime, Kapp was working with people like Motown writer Barrett Strong and Parliament/ Funkadelic founding member Calvin Simon, both Rock & Roll Hall of Famers. They also teamed with a Detroit radio station personality and created the theme song for the Detroit Pistons at the time of their N.B.A. championship. They then collaborated with legendary techno-house DJ Kevin Saunderson, from Virgin Records recording artist Inner City, on The Reese Project. The first single Direct Me (Giant Records/Warner), featuring Rachel, went #1 for six weeks on the U.K. Billboard charts. The second single, Colour of Love (Giant Records/Warner), also featuring Rachel, went #3 for four weeks on the U.K. charts, as the full CD Faith, Hope & Clarity (Giant Records/Warner) was released. During the later 1990's, Kapp and Rachel produced and collaborated with a number of artists, including R&B, Jazz, Hip Hop, Gospel, Rap, Classical, and Country. In 1999, Kapp teamed with Kern Brantley from Crazy Joint (Bad Boy Records) and produced Lighthouse for the gospel choir New Direction on Word Records/Sony. Family Unit was formed later that year, developing a strong local Detroit following and a library of unreleased studio recordings. Since then, Kapp and Rachel's production work has been in constant demand, with Kapp's contributions on Put Your Hands Up In the Air (Westbound, 2001) by the Original P (Parliament/Funkadelic) being his most recent hit effort. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Amleset Abai | Eritrean singer. Died 2004. One of her best known songs was "Dekise Neire", meaning "I was asleep for a while but I am now conscious". The song was typical of Eritrean songs of the era, being political in nature but veiled by clever lyrics, and was widely broadcast in Ethiopia and Eritrea before the Ethiopian government understood the meaning behind the song. | |

Formed in 2016 on the basis of a trio, Off The Yard is a folk with great punk influences such as Nofx or The Matchup. After a first EP released in the same time entitled "We say don't care but we do", the band played several dates in the Lyon area. The original trio then becomes a duo: two voices, two guitars, efficient and catchy. From this new stage was born the album "Empty Spot" at the end of 2017, for new compositions to be tasted that do not deny their origins.

With a prolific career lasting over 20 years, Nijinska came to international stardom with [a=Serge Diaghilev]'s [a=Ballets Russes], more engaged as a choreographer and stage producer since the 1920s. She toured extensively in the UK, Europe, and Northern and South Americas between 1925 and 1934, collaborating with notable impresarios, directors, and theaters, such as [l=Teatro Colón], Opéra Russe à Paris, [a=Ballet Russe De Monte Carlo], [a=Anton Dolin] and Alicia Markova's "London Festival Ballet," the [l=Hollywood Bowl], Jacob's Pillow, [a=Max Reinhardt], and [a=Le Marquis De Cuevas], and ran two ballet companies in Paris, Ballets Nijinska (1931) and Théâtre de la Danse Nijinska (1932–34). Bronislava Nijinska immigrated to the United States in 1939 and naturalized as a US citizen in 1949. She continued working as a choreographer and artistic director, dedicating most of her time to teaching. Name variations: Branislava Nižynskaja, Bronislava Fominichna Nijinskaya, B. Fominitshna Nizhinskaya, Бронислава Фоминична Нижинская, Браніслава Ніжынская. Born in Minsk, Russian Empire (now Belarus), Bronislava was the third child of touring Polish dancers; all children were baptized in Warsaw and grew up in Poland. Her elder brother, [a=Vaslav Nijinsky] (1889—1950), also became a renowned ballet dancer and choreographer. Broni and Vaslav took initial training from their parents, who ran a full-time dance studio for adults and children. Circa 1900, nine-year-old Bronislava began taking lessons with a famous Italian pedagogue [a=Enrico Cecchetti]. Following Vaslav's footsteps, Nijinska attended the Imperial Ballet School in Saint Petersburg, graduating with honors in 1908. The same year, Bronislava made her stage debut with Mariinsky Ballet in [a=Michel Fokine]'s Les Sylphides. Broni Nijinska joined [a=Ballets Russes] company in 1910, debuting in Fokine's Carnaval production, with the "Papillon" role specifically written for her. Bronislava assisted Vaslav Nijinsky with his controversial L'Après-midi d'un faune choreography, which premiered at Théâtre du Châtelet in May 1912. The following year, Broni again aided her brother with equally contentious [a=Igor Stravinsky]'s Rite of Spring, which saw unprecedented public unrest during the premiere (mostly on behalf of provocative costumes and Nijinsky's extremely unconventional choreography). Bronislava Nijinska quit Ballets Russes after discovering her pregnancy. In 1914, she joined a short-lived Saison Nijinsky company established by her brother Vaslav and based at the London Palace Theatre. Bronislava returned to Russia with her husband the following year, living in Saint Petersburg and Kiyv; Nijinska split her time between dancing and working independently to design and stage her first choreographical productions. After the 1917 revolutions, life in Russia became too unpredictable and tumultuous, and Bronislava Nijinska expatriated in 1921. She reunited with Ballets Russes, appointed by Diaghilew as a choreographer. Nijinska created several cutting-edge and critically acclaimed ballets over the next four years, most notably Stravinsky's Les noces. |

Jim remained an ardent student of all subjects for his lifetime. In the weeks preceding his death he had decided he was going to learn to play piano like Dr. John. He was doing very well on the piece, "Just a Closer Walk with Thee."In his childhood he played daily on the Toby Tubby and the Luxapalila Creeks near Columbus. He was a dedicated teacher, pilot, a sailor, and a wonderful father, friend and life companion. When he retired in 2011 he began in earnest his devotion to his beloved backyard bluebirds and his puppies. He often said he wanted to talk to the animals like Tarzan did. Gracie and Lucy listened devotedly to every word he said. I believe the bluebirds were listening in his backyard. Perhaps he's flying over the rainbow with bluebirds right now, as he often said he wanted to do.

Later that same year in October, Raymond "Ray Stops" Arsenal was recruited by the band as their new vocalist and they’ve decided to do original materials with different types of influences in music. December 2005, the band released their first EP with 5 songs independently & the first single "Hukom" made its way to the airwaves of now-defunct SMASH Fm 93.1 Cebu. Since then, Indephums has been performing numerous gigs around Cebu and its neighboring places in the Visayas from bars to outdoor events. Their notable tour was in Manila in November 2008 during the Red Horse Muziklaban. They were the area champions in the Visayas Region where they made it to the grand finals and played alongside OPM (Original Pinoy Music) top acts including their hero Sepultura. Band Name: The name of the band is a portmanteau of the words Independent and Human. Ryan added “s” at the end of the combined words then became INDEPHUMS. Pronounced as "-INDE -FAMZ". |

| Search | Add | 3 | Aleksandr Shuniborov | Aleksandr Shuniborov | Shuniborov and music are inseparably connected since childhood. Playing his parents' tapes and vinyl collections on repeat, he would beg with tears to turn Yury Antonov's 'Moonlight way' on. And then he would break into a dance absorbing the rhythm and dynamics of the piece. ABBA, Boney-M, Michael Jackson, the Army of Lovers, the Beatles and other wonderful records were unfolding for him as he was growing up. Aleks's dad worked as a truck driver and he went on trips far abroad. You may guess how lucky Aleks was to have access to the world of music. This changed his life significantly. The 90's were not the easiest time for Belarus, just as for any other post Soviet country. And he was the one with Pringles, and records from the mysterious abroad. Dad kept buying all the new musical stuff to brighten his long way home. But as soon as he reached home all the tapes found their place on Aleks's shelves. Shuniborov's first DJ experience happened at the age of 14. He practised at house parties after school where school mates were getting addicted to apparently not only music. The school graduation party was a great event at his teen age. Then until his 23 he was continually looking for his own ways of self-expressiin in electronic music. He began to understand rather clearly what he wanted and needed for his favourite activity. Nothing was possible without equipment, skills of making textures, mixing them and producing. 'Music is my best friend, the beloved wife and child. There're no unpleasant sounds, no bad music. My greatest fear is to lose the ability of comprehending sounds, to stop feeling the bit of dynamics, to forget how to mix sounds and enjoy them. That sound like the end of me and for me. ' Shuniborov keeps his mind open. Experimenting, searching for' incorrect' mixes, state-of-the-art dynamics of the tapes filled with complex combinations are born in his studio. Aleks has preserved his internal child not setting boundaries to his freedom at the same time. |

Members were John Lemmon (organ, vocals), Wayne Sweet (lead guitar, vocals), Ron "Smack" Smith (bass, vocals), and Tim Cottini (drums). Tim Eaton joined the group later as lead singer in early 1969 before they started recording, first with radio jingles for the United Way charities and the Canada Welfare Council. Their popularity with radio listeners led to signing with [l71736]'s nascent [l335147] in late 1969. Marshmallow Soup Group had only one hit record, "I Love Candy" penned by Eaton, in 1969. The record was released in November to coincide with their trip to Lima, Peru where they performed at the International Trade Fair as Goodwill Ambassadors of Canada for the Federal Department of Trade and Commerce. They also toured Japan, Mexico, Hawaii and the US in that role. They released a follow-up single in 1970 that did not do as well on the charts in Canada, and did not break internationally as "I Love Candy" had done. After the demise of the band, Eaton embarked on a solo career in the summer of 1971 and formed his own backing band called Timothy.

| Search | Add | 3 | Bard Hoff | Colorado based guitarist Bard Hoff has spent his career trying to find the middle ground between Keith Richards and Joe Pass. On one side is the rocker, adorned with tattoos, wanting to play loud. On the other is the jazz man, always cool as he picks his way through the standards. Hoff is the happiest when he can be both, which is what the audience at Elliot's can expect Saturday when Hoff appears with his trio. "Elliot's is the hippest place we play," said Hoff, who grew up on Fort Collins, the son of Hollis Bard Hoff, the radio voice of the Colorado State University football and basketball teams in the 1960s. "We can play anything -- Al Green, Jimi Hendrix, Sly and the Family Stone. We'll get people in there asking for Charlie Parker. Then Clinton, the bartendar, won't let us leave until we play Little Wing and Third Stone Fron the Sun." H off began his musical pursuits as a child, first playing the guitar when he was 10. It wasn't until a few years later, though, when the Beatles first emerged from England, that he considered music as a profession. "Anyone from my generation who plays guitar and says they weren't influenced by teh Beatles is lying," Hoff said. Of course, his first influences were rock musicians. But there came a time when Hoff decided to explore music, listening to and studying different styles. "It's when you open yourself up to music that you start hearing the jazz and the great country players," Hoff siad. "that's when you take the big head-long dash into it!" By the time Hoff turned 14, he'd mad e the decision to pursue music professionally. And he has continued that pursuit ever since. "If I was a teen-ager in New York or on the East Coast somewhere, I could have probably started playing a few gigs and worked my way into some studio time," Hoff said. "But let's be realistic. We're 40 miles from Wyoming here. When I was 13 or 14, I had to make my mind up that that's what I wanted to do." Hi sprofessional career has led Hoff around the world. He's performed on cruise ships and on tours throughout Europe. He has recorded with a variety of groups. And for the first time this year, Hoff released a CD as a solo project -- "Earthquake Weather," available through hapi Skratch Records. The CD is a seven-track collection of mostly original songs written by Hoff and his son, Devin Hoff, a professional bassist. "Devin took to music like a duck to water," Hoff said of his son. "He had some great educators here. The music education in the schools here is fantastic." Devin even joined Hoff on a tour of Europe, where the two learned first-hand the importance of music and art in European cultures. "Traveling to Europe is a real wake-up call," Hoff said. "They put such an emphasis on the arts." When not traveling, Hoff plays somewhat regularly around Fort Collins, including shows at Elliot's and occasional appearances at the Moot House. But those who have seen Hoff only at the Moot House haven't seen the true Bard Hoff Trio. "We have to scale back our show, because we're playing while people are eating," he said. "We don't want to get too heavy into it while they're enjoying their dinners." The Elliot's show promises to be a much harder-hitting version, Hoff syas. "At Elliot's, they see the real Bard Hoff Trio," he said. | |
