Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Shirley Jester | Raised in a musical family - her father played in Arnold's Jazz Band downtown - she was playing the piano by the time she was 5. She had the ability to play anything by ear - almost instantly. While in high school at Our Lady of Angels in North College Hill, she began working part time as a staff pianist for WKRC-TV, going full time after her 1951 graduation. There, she played music for locally produced television shows. She also met George Palmer, who was then working at the station as a news anchor. The two were married in September 1962. At 25 she started playing in nightclubs, starting at the Coal Hole*, a popular club located in the now-defunct Sinton Hotel."Shirley did her homework. She made the Coal Hole a legitimate room," said Leo Underhill, former jazz disc jockey for WNOP. Over the next 40 years, Ms. Jester performed solo and with jazz groups all over Cincinnati and nationally. She had gigs at The Top of the Crown, in the former Clarion Hotel; the Iron Horse Inn in Glendale and at Kenwood Country Club. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Graeme Williamson | The late Canadian/Scottish singer, songwriter, published poet and author Graeme Williamson, was the voice and writer of the eclectic, whimsical and socio-political Pukka Orchestra, one of Canada's alternative indie darlings of the 1980's/90's 'Queen Street Scene'. In 1984 the Pukkas released their self-titled, critically acclaimed debut which included their national radio hit "Listen To The Radio" and fan favourites "Cherry Beach Express" and "Might As Well Be On Mars" - later covered by British group The Strawbs, both cowritten by Graeme. The Pukkas won the 1985 U-Know/CASBY Award as "Most Promising Group". Shortly after, while on holiday in Scotland, Graeme was diagnosed with kidney disease, underwent a transplant there but returned to Toronto so the Pukkas could record 1987's indie release Palace of Memory. In 1992 they released their final album Dear Harry. Graeme, facing more health issues, subsequently left for Scotland permanently in the early 1990s. Up until his death in June 2020, Graeme continued writing/recording new songs, many featured on this his posthumous 2022 solo album "Because You Were There". Neil Chapman (Buffy Ste. Marie/Leonard Cohen), the co-founder of the Pukka Orchestra with Graeme, took over the producer reins and spent 2020 and 2021 finishing the album. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Bill Puka | From Columbia Records' INSIGHT Magazine: Bill Puka (rhymes with “hook-ah”) is spending most of his time these days at Harvard University, where he is writing his Ph.D. thesis and teaching in the philosophy department. Hardly what you’d call a run-of-the-mill academician either; he seems more at home on the streets of Brooklyn where he grew up than in the halls of higher learning. Up until a year ago, when Bill walked into April & Blackwood hoping to sell a couple of songs, he had never thought of himself as a performer, but since then he has been attracting the attention of an ever-widening circle of “old pros” with his many talents. He has been approached to write Broadway shows and major TV commercials; the Fifth Dimension are recording one of his songs, and cover versions of many others are in the works. All indications are that Bill Puka is one of the major discoveries of the decade. His first album on Columbia, entitled simply “Bill Puka,’” was four months in the making and is one of the most sophisticated albums in pop music today. It’s appeal, however, is universal; “Sunshine Days” and “Nothing at All” are potential Top 40 hits, “Barbara Knows” and “She's Just That Way” are due for strong MOR airplay, and “Dry Spell,” “City Nights” and “Selling Yourself Out’ are destined to become underground classics. ‘Beautiful Bird” is a perfect one-minute gem in anybody’s bag. Be prepared for a great awakening. Bill Puka is one of the real ground-breaking new talents of the seventies. —Ed Freeman | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Frozen Silk | Band info (Info state 11|2020) FROZEN SILK - that's hot and powerful power rock from Bremerhaven, which is its personal genre defined in a thrilling mixture of catchy pop elements and grooving heavy hard rock! This impressive stylistic variety is supported by the characteristic voice of the front woman Sharon Wynne, who captures the full range of deep emotions with her expressive singing, from pure energy and willpower to deep melancholic abysses, brought to life. Biography: FROZEN SILK was founded in 1997 under the name "SILK" in Bremerhaven and was able to convince its audience and critics with numerous performances in its debut year. After the band won the renowned "Live in Bremen" music contest in 1999, they presented their highly acclaimed debut album "Power" the very next year, which was released under the now extended band name "SILK 99" on the Superrock-Records label and subsequently pre- sented live on a nationwide promotion tour. After more than 100 equally successful and ex- hausting performances, the band members decided in 2006 to go their separate ways and pursue their own projects. Fortunately, this decision was already revised in 2011, so that a new chapter of the band was opened under the name FROZEN SILK with only slightly changed original line-up. Since 2011 FROZEN SILK has been a constant guest on regional and nationwide stages and has made a more than good name for itself as a rousing live act. The band not forgets to transmit their musical power to the audience again and again, but also to demonstrate their qualities to critics, editors and presenters. Since 2018, the four musicians of FROZEN SILK have also been retreating into the studio again and again to work on material for a new album in parallel to their live activities. The re- lease of "Back to life" is scheduled for spring 2021. | Search | Add | 3 | Lathouse | The group "Lathouse" debuted on the Latvian music scene in the early 2000s. The debut and only album "Believe in Riga style" was released in February 2002 by the publishing house "Gailītis-G" in collaboration with the company "Sun Records". The album combined both author’s compositions, which at the time of the release of the album were already very active on club dance floors, and remixes of dance hits by the then popular groups A-Europa and Fors. The most famous song was "Riga style", which gave the album its name, "Pump Up Da Base", as well as a remix of the song "Белые небеса" from the repertoire of Arturs Dubok's project "A-Europa". The attention to the work of Duboks and his group from the Lathouse project is not accidental: the founder of the team was the Latvian electronic producer Janis Lamsters, who in 1999 also stood at the origins of the A-Europa group, together with the already mentioned Arturs Duboks, and together with he recorded two albums on behalf of A-Europa, but after leaving the band for his own project. The remaining members of the Lathouse project were hiding behind the pseudonyms DJ Ros, DJ Well and DJ Valer. The single "Riga style", recorded in 2000, managed to light up in Latvian dance charts and subsequently gained many new interpretations performed by a number of Baltic DJs. The album "Believe in Riga style" was nominated for the main national award in the field of sound recording in the category "Best Dance Music Album". Unfortunately, the debut record was the first and only and the project "Lathouse" soon ceased to exist. | Search | Add | 3 | Manias / Sale Sangre | Manìas is: Drew M. Ruiz - All Guitars, Vocals Ernest Gurulé - Guitars Mike Orr - Drums Albuquerque, N.M., late 1993, guitarist Drew “M” Ruiz, and bassist “Bloody” Gary Garcia set out to form a brutal death/groove/grind band. After extensive deliberation this band inherited the name Manîas pronounced Man-I-as. Local live shows and an extensive tour of Mexico drew immediate attention to the band. Main songwriter Drew was greatly inspired by the reaction and support of the fans in Mexico. He felt the need to repay them the only way he knew possible. That was to write lyrics in Spanish, and christen the band with a Spanish name to be used exclusively in Mexico. That name was “Salé Sangre”. Confusion arose about the bands’ name because of this unique concept. Never the less “Manîas-Salé Sangre” (the band with two names), forged ahead and became known as “brutal bilingual” death metal. Prior to recording their first demo in 1995, bassist “Bloody Gary” was asked to depart due to substance abuse. Drew has gone through many line-up changes since. “Manîas” has had many trials and tribulations throughout the years, worst of which happened in early 1999, when Drew “M” Ruiz, was arrested for transporting a quantity of marijuana. Before Drew was sentenced to five years in federal prison in Oct., 1999, “Manîas” recorded its first full length CD on “Entrapment records” (now “Dead World Syndicate” Rec.), entitled “Identity Crisis”. “Identity Crisis” is an anthology of past demos, and the then ‘new’ songs. This CD was released while Drew was serving his sentence, Manîas-Salé Sangre couldn’t tour to support it. After 40 months behind the fence, in March 2003, Drew is released and is back fulfilling his promise to continue on this “brutal bilingual” path. It has been 2 years since Manîas is back in the forum. With the help of talented musicians: Ernest Gurulé on guitar, Mike Orr on drums, all 3 of the Manîas trinity contribute to the latest material. Give a listen and know that this countries penal system breeds anger and hate in its purest form. What it is like is Porcupine Tree’s Voyage 34, flowing spacey instrumental tracks where progressive rock meets electronica, with similar found vocals from an old record about LSD or something. Call it Voyage 34A, another great trip. The song titles provide clues to their inspirations.
