Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Holy Ghost Church Choir | Church choir from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The choir was organized early in the twentieth century during the pastorate of the late Reverend Aloysius Fretz. Father Fretz's love of music and his adherence to the best liturgical traditions inspired the choir in its beginning years. His successor, the late Monsignor Scott A. Fasig also took a keen interest in the choir. In 1933, faced with the task of finding a replacement for an organist and choir master, Monsignor Fasig turned to the youth of the Parish, in whom he was most interested. He selected [a=Francis L. Mies], a twenty-two year old protege of the first organist and choir master, Mr. Henry Rohs. Under the direction of Mr. Mies the choir expanded from a membership of twelve to forty-five. World War II left the choir with few young singers, but at the war's conclusion the choir was revitalized. The repertoire included liturgical music with Latin Masses by Perosi, Carnevali, Bach, and Stahle. English and German hymns and motets became the music characteristic of the Holy Ghost of the forties. In 1946, St. Bernard's R.C. Beneficial Society invited the Chorus to be the nucleus of the "Samaritan Glee Club." The purpose of this secular group was to entertain at social and civic functions. The Glee Club demonstrated its versatility in their renditions of light classicals by Beethoven and selections from operettas by Romberg and Friml. Other choices include American marches, patriotic tunes, rolling sea chanties, medleys of barbershop quartet music, Negro spirituals, and novelty songs. In 1961, Reverend Reginald S. Billinger, D.D. was named pastor of Holy Ghost Church. Father Billinger provided the choir with the same inspiration for "God's Glorification" as did his predecessors. The choir implemented the changes in the liturgy approved by the Second Vatican Council, and can be heard singing English Masses and other selections of English liturgical music. The choir was honored by being the first Lay Choir to sing a High Mass at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. The choir is the nucleus of the original Pageant Chorus which furnished the background music for the Lenten Pageant, "Behold the Man of Bethlehem," a production of Catholic Pageants, Inc. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Los Subversivos | The band was formed in 1989 in Del Viso, Pilar Party. After a couple of months of rehearsal, they played at their first time in San Telmo, sharing the stage with 2 Minutos, Superuva, Mal Momento, Fun People, Olor a pata ,Contrabando, and more friendly bands. After a time of change of members, Los Subversivos continue to play stage with several bands all parts of the country including outside as M.C.D and Soziedad Alkoholika of the Basque countrie and Los Crudos of the United States. Recording his first independent album in 1995 Flamearé mi bandera and a second album in 1999 Resignarse es morir, a live album in Forrest, Santiago del Estero. Flamearé mi bander was published in Spain and based on that they recorded a vinyl with Urban DK (United States band) that was published in the United States, France and Spain. Apart from having participated in several compilations. At 16, after seeing Sumo and Todos Tus Muertos live, Kike knew he wanted to have his own group. "The savagery, and the original sound of those bands, and being able to enjoy them live, marked me." This is how Kike Andrada remembers what he felt in the late eighties. With their companions from school of Del Viso, Buenos Aires, they had the habit of going to recitals in the Parakultural. At that time he also meets "Koko" Quintana, thanks to a mutual friend. "I had been skateboarding, and I was already listening to Suicidal Tendencies, Exploited, a couple of bands here," Koko recalls. There was Todos Tus Muertos, the first album had just come out. Kike made me listen. And at the same time we began to share everything that was music, until one day he made me the proposal to put together a band. Obviously, I was excited to start, and we began to see what we were going to do. Like any band that starts, out there influenced by the bands of the moment that one was listening. ” At first they joined together two to compose with an accoustic guitar, but then they looked for the missing members. Before starting with this project, both had already assembled the "Social Pop" fanzine, from which 3 numbers came out. The band's first line-up was composed by Leonardo "Koko" Quintana in voice, Jorge Antonio "Kike" Andrada on guitar, Betty López on bass (girlfriend at the time, and then Kike's wife), and Mario "El Flaco" Menesunda on drums (who later participated in addition to the thrash Estirpe group). The name they chose for the band was "Los Subversivos", in homage to the 30,000 missing. The debut show was at MacArthur, in 1989. "At that time, if they liked the band, it was a club. If they did not like the band, they would kick you out from stage, or not give to you any atention at all" Koko explains. "Then when we did the first gig the place exploded. Pogo was armed with all the old people of that time, who was easy to get in trouble" <laughs>. There the ice broke. " By that time the line up had changed: El Flaco Mario went from drums to bass, and on the drums was a boy from Belgrano (Buenos Aires) named Federico. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Al Gilliom | Al Gilliom | Al Gilliom’s music will peel back your defenses and hit your soul. His music melds a multitude of genres, including (but not limited to!): classical (Chopin), rock (Nirvana), and contemporary (The Piano Guys). Throwback to Al’s younger years: beginning life at just 1lb 11oz, the doctors played classical music into his isolette. Born into a world bursting with classical music, the spark never left. He would sit mesmerized, watching his grandmother’s hands dance across the piano keys. The piano awakened something inside of him— this language allowed him to take his life experiences and translate them into a universal medium - sound. In the face of adversity, music brings hope into his life. Through teaching and sharing his compositions, he continually discovers the ability to ignite this feeling in others. Al’s dream is to share his life stories with you through his vulnerable music. 2 years ago, Al released an improvisatory solo piano album, 'A Place Of Peace'. As Al’s grown and changed as a person and a musician, and the stories that have burst forth from his fingers into original compositions that are unlike any he’s recorded before. Al’s excited to offer a deeper glimpse into his world on his upcoming album, ‘The Light In Dark Spaces’. Introverted to the core, Al is the definition of a wallflower. (Well, let’s be honest. You won’t find him at a party. He’d rather be at home practicing the piano, drinking a cup of tea (or homemade hard cider) or reading a book.) In addition to making music, Al enjoys tending to his small homestead farm (with goats and chickens), cooking delicious meals, trying not to kill his houseplants, and reading paperback books. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Matt Mirenda | After six years as a DJ and four as a music producer, he decides to continue his artistic career as Matt Mirenda, stopping using [a=Matijay] as a pseudonym. Matt Mirenda leaves behind the techno and minimal sounds that For years they have accompanied them, keeping them as a memory among the most beautiful experiences that they have lived in the course of their career to this day, as well as the support that great artists have given them such as: Carl Cox, Dubfire, Joy Kitikonti, and so on. Not forgetting Richie Hawtin, that he has mixed in one of his live shows “Stefano Franca – Carousel (Matijay's Extreme Remix)“. The Argentine tour (September 2012 – March 2013) is definitely the main cause of the change. The influences of the progressive genre in an underground style, soon become a true philosophy of life for the artist. In search of the best arpeggio, ever more rolling grooves and melodies that leave listeners in a state of "mental trip", Matt Mirenda begins to live in a totally uncontrolled way. Together with an Argentine musician and composer friend, he works every night until lunchtime, resting during the day, during those moments when the frenzy of the world leaves no room for inspirations and the purest arts. Everything starts again at 9:00 p.m. :00 in the afternoon. The mates are too sugary, the alfajores, the invoices, the asado, the pizzas, the fernet and the bottles of beer are elements that are always present during this period of experimentation. The results arrive immediately, after returning to Europe, Matt Mirenda signs contracts with several record companies already dedicated to the world of progressive and deep house, such as: OLD SQL Recordings, Mistique Music, and several sub-labels of Proton Music. Now, the waves of the sea steal land from the sandy desert, and the strong ocher color leaves space for the green of the forests and orchards, but, like a rushing river, it follows inspiration. | |

Her life and work, Edited by the Country Team of the Transylvanian Saxons in Germany eV The father was a school principal and Ecclesiastes - he led the church choir and the Adjuvantenkapelle - the mother of a first trained with Adele Zay kindergarten teachers. Grete's wish was from childhood to become a teacher. She attended public school in Sibiu, where Minka Bruckner was their revered teacher, then the teacher-training college in Sighisoara. She was a popular, efficient and sangesfreudige student. Here they not only discovered her love for music but also for populist poetry of Anna Schuller Schullerus. In that time already developed the first experiments with dialect poetry, supported and promoted by the seminar director, Dr. Heinz Brandsch. After their completion in 1925 it was only a short time teacher, as they already in 1926 married the notary Michael Lienert and the then regional church provisions of married teachers were not allowed to continue teaching. This injunction was lifted only in 1937. But in addition to her family - she had two sons and a daughter - she served in the Women's Association, gave lectures and recitals together with Anna Schuller Schullerus, Luise Help leg and Gerda Miess-Lipponen. When singing with children and young people always created new songs, mostly in the Saxon dialect. Inspired by the folk tales of Anna Schuller Schullerus, Grete Lienert himself wrote plays and directed them also. Her most famous among them are: "Äm your uch Gläck" (To honor and happiness), "Bäm Brännchen" (The little spring), "Farmer Liesel" and "hu Fosnicht mer" (Shrove we have). All pieces are elegant, rich "folk poetry", characterized by simplicity and earthiness true (H. Mieskes). The profession of the husband as a civil servant brought frequent change of location with himself and opened up Grete Lienerts work always new circles of life and people who encouraged her art and encouraged: Schuster Dutz, Hans Mild - with which they brought out the later award-winning song "Ta Drimer" - Carl Reich Elder., Lena Kraus, Serious Irtel and Christine Maly part uva After 1937 taught Grete Lienert again, collecting in 26 years of teaching activity in Netus, Neustadt, because village Schaas and other places further knowledge to the Saxon folk song. It originated their songs in folk style: "De asters blähn Insem äm garden", "The Owend kit to chan". They are among the best known and sung as folk songs in Germany and America. Their dramatic poem "The burned Maid", a historical fabric of the Saxon past, was awarded a prize. In the dark years after the Second World War, the family Lienert suffered the fate of many compatriots: The husband was deported to Russia as a German, later came back as a patient, the family had to suffer expropriation, prohibition and difficult training of their children. During this time, Grete Lienert founded a folk song-singing group who also sang a record with 14 Lienert songs, and also an amateur game group that toured the Saxon villages with their stage and radio plays, and the country people brought encouragement and refreshment in their hard life . From 1963 the family lived in Sighisoara, where Grete a welcome fellow in the neighborhood, the church choir and literature circle was. From the singing group, a chamber choir which still exists today. In 1978 the family moved to West Germany and now lives in Traunreut. Again, Grete Lienert soon became a center of Music and Dramatic as a cultural consultant and helped the country team in the establishment of a Transylvanian choir with. Her songs are sung by all Transylvanian choirs, especially by the excellent "by Samuel Madrigal Choir Cantores Brukenthal Cibiniensis". In Germany two songbooks and tapes published two poetry. From restless creative tätigem Grete Lienert was called away unexpectedly on 1.4.1989.

They were famous for their Submarine t-shirts, armed with a strong demo called ‘Acid’ under their belts. They were a band that almost made it; they had it all, the music, and the publicity, the following, and even had their CD featured on TVs Tomorrow’s World. The marketing ploy was simple; the Submarine symbol was used more than their GNSF name, to the extent that people thought that Submarine was their name rather than a song title. Goodnight Said Florence signed to Different Class records, changed the line-up, and disappeared without a trace.

They began writing together, and in 2009 they released an EP of all original material that received critical acclaim and heavy CBC rotation. The sum of all their parts creates a sound that is soulful and fresh with Dirks' siren voice, Ariel's melodic guitar playing and Ryan's dynamic and precise drumming at the forefront. They bring together their love and knowledge of folk, pop and soul music and turn it into something captivating for the ears and the heart. | Search | Add | 3 | Shrink Trip | Shrink Trip was formed at Drew University in Madison, NJ, circa 1989, originally by drummer Bob Joyal, guitarist Andrew Hurford and guitarist/vocalist Marc Beschler. Taking their cue from a variety of musical sources, most predominantly Camper Van Beethoven and the Butthole Surfers, with occasional forays into Bad Religion-style hardcore, Shrink Trip wanted to play a kind of psychedelic punk rock that would appeal to their mixed crowd of friends, which included punks, hippies, and plenty of in-betweens, as well as reflect their interest in, shall we say, alternate states of mind. The original line-up was filled out by Nick Boyle on bass. In 1990, Boyle was replaced by Mike Thomas, who added a funky dimension with his bass work reminiscent of Fishbone and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. This line-up recorded the 'Puce-Colored Glasses' demo. For a while, they enjoyed being part of a mini-scene concentrated at Drew University, with several different on-campus bands playing joint shows at the university's coffee house The Other End and at outdoor seasonal events. Thomas subsequently left and was replaced by Jeff DeSmedt, a veteran of the multi-faceted band [a=Roadside Myth]. Not long after this, Beschler switched to concentrating purely on vocals, with Peter Bonnell of fellow Drew band Skeevy Jeets joining as the second guitarist. This quintet recorded the 'All-Purpose Creamy Head' demo, which included the song 'Curse,' a track composed by all five members that reflected their then-intense love for Fugazi. Founding member Hurford left the band a while later, to be replaced by Jason Johnson on guitar. This line-up recorded the 1993 'The 'O' Single' for Oculus records, with Bonnell deciding that it would be his last effort with the band. A while after this, another founding member, Joyal, also went on to other things and was replaced by long-time friend of the band Django Phillips, who had also done the graphic design for 'The 'O' Single.' This line-up of Beschler (vocals/guitar), DeSmedt (bass), Johnson (guitar) and Phillips (drums) played gigs in New York and New Jersey for a time before ultimately going their separate ways. DeSmedt went back to working on Roadside Myth, recording a full-length CD album, 'Surreal Woman and Other Songs,' in 1995 that included appearances by Johnson, Joyal, Phillips and Beschler. Johnson went on to spearhead the jazz rock project Fern Hill, and Beschler and Phillips joined up with Jennifer Werner and Dominick Nervi to form the mid-'90s stoner-punk-metal outfit [a=Nancy Sumatra] (originally called Guttersnipe).
