Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Toshi Iseda Chicago-based guitarist and guitar instructor, featured in Guitar World magazine. Briefly a member of Heavens Edge according to Reggie Wu: ""Two weeks before we were about to showcase for Capitol, Dean Davidson from Britney Fox asked Jimmy to join his band. I guess Jimmy thought the opportunity was better with Dean, but it really was a bad situation for us. I thought the band was really smokin up to that point and to bring in another guitarist 2 weeks before a showcase was a bad thing. We ended up doing the showcase with another guitarist (Toshi Iseda) but we did not get the deal. By the way, Toshi was an awesome guitarist. "

Search Add 2 Christiane Felscherinow Christiane Vera Felscherinow Christiane Felscherinow was born on 20 May 1962 in Hamburg, Germany, but her family moved to West Berlin when she was a child. She became best known as Christiane F (though she has also used Christiane X as an alias) after publishing her autobiographical book Wir Kinder Vom Bahnhof Zoo (1978) about her heroin addiction and the group of teenage drug-users and sex workers who operated in the area of West Berlin's then-largest railway station Bahnhof Zoo. Her life story became widely known when [url=https://www.discogs.com/master/50924-David-Bowie-Original-Soundtrack-Zum-Film-Christiane-F-Wir-Kinder-Vom-Bahnhof-Zoo]it was turned into a movie in 1981, with a soundtrack by David Bowie[/url]. Trying to capitalise on the movie's success, Christiane F released a couple of records shortly after. In the early 1980s, Felscherinow's boyfriend was [a107203], from the German industrial band [a38794], and she collaborated in his [a316419] project. They also appeared together in the 1983 German film [url=https://www.discogs.com/master/42511-Various-Decoder-The-Soundtrack]Decoder[/url], which also featured [a50077] and [a22533]. In 2013, Felscherinow published a second autobiographical book titled Mein Zweites Leben in which she writes about the second part of her life after the aforementioned episodes.

Search Add 2 Krazy Kraz DJ KrAzY KrAz, the DJ, Audio Engineer and producer, got his start back in April of 1992 in NYC, when the producer of Boogie Down Productions, KRS-One, Pal Joey (Loves Gonna Get Ya, Black Cop, The Jam, and Hot Music) was having a contest for new rap groups. After 85 auditioning acts, Brothers Of The Mind won and were signed to Pal Joey Productions. Two years later, they landed a deal at Maxi/Max’n Records where the group did three singles, “Stop Scheming”, “Kick Facts” and “Rough & Tough” remixed by “the BeatMinerz” that sold well across the US and Europe, but due to poor promotions, 5 years later, the project ended. Now with his own production company called, “In The Temple Entertainment”, dj KrAzY KrAz attempts again to re-enter the business with a new label who can promote his talented roster of artist and his music.

Search Add 2 Guten Tag Czech alternative rock band. Guten Tag from Northern Bohemia became a club and cult legend at its time, and their only CD Maso (Flesh) is the time capsule of the era. Guten Tag clearly sprung from the best traditions of the Czech underground and (then) young musicians added unusual dose of flair and energy. Certain music journalist described the band as darker and more off-beat [a=Už jsme doma] band - maybe due to the use of saxophone. We would describe them more as a crossover of [a=Dog Eat Dog] with original [a=Garáž] band - maybe due to the use of saxophone. However, I just realized - where were Dog Eat Dog when Guten Tag were already blasting the music from the stage? Since the shows were a real musical assault, the CD was titled Maso (Flesh) with a subtitle “hudba/music” to eliminate any possibility that some dorks could confuse it with a product of meat industry. The cover was designed by now also legendary [a=Luboš Drtina]. Leader of the band [a=Petr Mikolášek] later performed under the name [a=Significant Brother], then also in project [a=Significant Other].

Search Add 2 Ghost Note Project Thessaloniki, Greece Asklipios Zambetas (guitar), Christos Tsaprazis (bass) and Giorgos Tolios (drums) came together in 2009, forming the core of a new group and experimenting with instrumental musical forms. The members of the group Trypes (Zambetas and Tolios) and Xylina Spathia (Tsaprazis) were soon developing a style that blended rock, funk and psychedelic, sometimes treading a fine line between jazz and ethnic. As their musical ideas matured, the first recording sessions were held at Rough Studios in Thessaloniki, where the three musicians were joined by a large number of friends and colleagues, each leaving his personal stamp on the final result: Evgenia Patika (piano, keyboards), Mihalis Vrettas (violin), Chrysanthos Christodoulou (synths, electronics), Stefanos Lazarinos (sax), Giorgos Avramidis (trumpet), Yiannis Marinos (trombone), Georgia Dagaki (Cretan lyre), Elias Aifantis (keyboards), Nikos Magnisalis (flute and percussion) and Izabela Zambeta (vocals). As the recording sessions proceeded, the group began to assume its final form, being joined by new members Kostas Papachristos (trumpet, piano), a member of Skaribas, and Christos Trypsiani (synths, electronics). The recording and mix in the studio, was made under the supervision of producer Christos Megas.
