Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 12 | Oblivious Artefacts | Oblivious Artefacts visual art and much more. We are a collective working in Roma, Palermo, Berlin. Oblivious Artefacts is a visual experiment, a collaboration between Ignazio Mortellaro, Rosanna Costantino, Marco Morici, José Florentino, Glauco Marino and Luca Mortellaro. Their work explores the dynamics between people and the use of space, and the interaction of natural and fabricated environments. The medium of video acts as a tool for investigating the perception of images, invoking moods that range from the surreal to the objective. Technology is kept to a minimum and technical restriction is imposed in order to release creativity. Mortellaro and Costantino take influence from early C20th experimental cinema where utterly iconic imagery was created despite huge technological constraints. Each Oblivious VJ set or AV performance involves the use of original material and forms an ongoing research into human anatomy and landscapes. Oblivious Artefacts is also a visual label, have also worked with outstanding underground labels, including Prologue, Edit Select, Ear to Ground, Meerestief , Lineal Records. 2009 sees Oblivious join the Stroboscopic Artefacts family, a Berlin based techno label where they are the resident graphic designers; realising the entire design concepts from 12” artwork to video teasers to VJ sets. | |

| Search | Add | 12 | Caroline Schub | Caroline Schub is a multi-media artist [b.1990] from the Hudson Valley, New York. After years of living with chronic illness starting from childhood, she began documenting herself as a form of self-preservation and survival. Her work is an unauthorized public record of a chronic illness. These portraits have been created using different mediums and exist in varying scales while pushing through vacillating emotional filters of rage and fear. Caroline’s understanding of her body's capacity for degeneration forms the double-edged sword that inspires her work. Her method of image creation has more in common with the labor of construction work than with the weaving of dreams. [Quoted from her homepage] | |

| Search | Add | 12 | Zachód. Dom Słońca | Zespół powstał pod koniec roku 1995 z inicjatywy KRY’ka i Boonia B. Od roku 1997 skład tworzą KRY i Ya’an. Do najważniejszych dokonań „artystycznych” zespołu należą: 1. W roku 1996 – pierwsze demo „Zagrożenie Dla Społeczeństwa” i występ na głogowskim przeglądzie kapel …rockowych 2. 1997 – drugie demo „Do Ostatniey Szarey!” nagrane w Przemkowskim Ośrodku Kultury. 3. 1998 – trzecie demo „Próba” i czwarte demo „LCK 1998 T.E.S.T / Zachód. | |

| Search | Add | 12 | August Albo | August Albo (11 September 1893 Suurupi, Harju County – 13 December 1963 New York City, USA) was an Estonian artist who studied at the Russian Royal Academy of Art but lived most of his life in New York City. The actual date of his death is unknown, most sources saying 1963 (which is most likely correct), although some individuals claim that they commissioned him to do portraits well into the 1980s. The details of his life are obscure, with no sure sources, but most seem to agree that he painted for the Czar in Moscow before the Russian Revolution. As a young man, he was also said to have been a ballet dancer (which may account for some of his most known work being of ballerinas), and a professional violinist. During the beginning of his painting career, he focused on abstract art. However, through appreciation for works from the old school of painting, he started painting with more realism. He was a very versatile artist, and could paint any given subject with incredible detail. He painted all over the world, particularly in cities with renowned ballets, such as Paris, Moscow, and Berlin. His most famous work was "Free as the Wind", a painting depicting running horses. There are believed to be only 5 of these original "Free as the Wind" paintings in existence. He is also known for his ballerina paintings. One of his lesser known works was of Merike Sheinkin as a child, and he also painted a scene called "Ocean Views" depicting two small boats on a rocky beach. It is uncertain what his real name was, but he would often sign paintings as "Rod Palmer" or "A. Curtis" in addition to simply "Albo". | |

| Search | Add | 12 | The Sky Colony | Bellingham, Washington Psychedelic folk / indie rock with purpose The Sky Colony were an indie folk rock group, focused on what matters most to them: simply creating wholesome music with real instruments, and more importantly, their intention behind doing so. Since their formation in 2012, the story behind the lyrics of their 1960’s reminiscent sound had organically grown into one of personal empowerment, discovery, and social awareness. Authentic and heartfelt lyrics, intricate tonal harmonies, catchy hooks, and well-practiced guitar leads are what you’ll hear of this group from Skagit Valley, Washington. The Sky Colony’s first full-length album ,"In A Dream", was released in February, 2015, and featured Master’s College banjo extraordinaire Molly Hazel and brilliant drummer dad Jeff Lacy. The title was publicized with blog coverage and radio play at stations worldwide. “It’s a mixture of the call of the Cascadian wilderness and an the 60's psychedelia era” (Tom Franks, Folkwords UK). Time upon time it has been deemed unique. “They create a sound of luminous spirituality that sets a fire in the mind." (Scot Casey, What’s Up Magazine). Music critics were interested in “a lack of special effects, just pure musicianship.” (John Apice, No Depression). Since then, personnel shifts had landed the full-time band member lineup of the founders Kyle Findley-Meier (rhythm guitar, lead vocal) and Ben Meyer (lead guitar, vocal), along with Jeff Lacy (drums, vocal), and Marcus Nevitt (keys, lap steel, vocal). “We’ve had a lot of great crews in this band. This feels like the one, though.” says Findley-Meier. “We are good friends, kinda brothers with a mission. It’s important to all of us to create substantial lyrics and music that makes us feel something.” Now, their second full-length album, “All of Us” is has been released. Recorded by Pacific Northwest studio master Michael Iris in the Cascade foothills’ Bell Creek Studio, featuring a smattering of skillful musicians and friends from the area, the record is a true call out to the band’s influential roots. “It’s kind of our response to both not releasing anything for a while, and how much everything has changed since then.” Findley-Meier says. “All of us know how important this project is in our lives, seeing what art can do to inspire us to come together in strange times of adversity. It’s our homage to the music that inspired us the most from the 60’s, when rapid social change led by art was as necessary as it is now.” Finally, the band played their last show in September, 2020, amidst a shift in the world and members going forward to seek their place in a new paradigm of existence. The final statement from the band: "The Sky Colony were already having hard times as a band entity. Many friend-band-businesses with likewise moderate successes were calling it quits due to lack of all-around ticket and merch sales, and then the paradigm of the music world was completely decimated along with many other aspects of the 'old world'. Being attuned to the way things were heading, we were, in full honesty, ready to let it go. Now, we give one last farewell as Skagit's wholesome folk-rock group, one born with the starry eyes of the bands from the early 70's, to let the old world die. As the core members Kyle, Ben, and Jeff move on from one another and accept the new pathways presented, we are being brought much light and peace, along with new creativity with music. This virtual show will feature an hour set, 10 songs selected from our entire catalogue, with verbal memories and connections from the band, ending with a perfect finale of a song never released, 'This Is It'. We have had eight years of wonderful support from many radiant humans. It was an honor to see your faces while we did. To all of you, from all of us, Thank you." | |

McLintock studied cornet with his father, Ellis, and trumpet with A.J. Williams. In 1936, McLintock placed first in the audition for the Canadian contingent of the British Empire Boys' Band, and toured England for two months. After his return to Canada, he won an RCM scholarship. The Toronto Philharmonic Orchestra made him fourth trumpet in 1937, and the following year, while still a high-school student, he joined the TSO as principal trumpet and simultaneously held the same position with the RCM and the University of Toronto. He also began to be heard on radio at that time. McLintock undertook further studies in New York in 1940 and 1941 with Ernest Williams. He toured in 1941 throughout North America as a member of the All-American Youth Orchestra under Stokowski, then served as soloist with the Central Band of the RCAF in Ottawa. McLintock was principal trumpet 1944-5 again of the TSO and 1952-63 of the CBC Symphony Orchestra, and also played in CBC radio orchestras under Lucio Agostini, Jack Kane, Bert Niosi, and others. He led his own dance band (Ellis McLintock, His Trumpet and Orchestra) 1944-50 in Toronto (Casa Loma, Palais Royale), Montreal (Belmont Park), and Peterborough, Muskoka, and Burlington, Ont; the band ranked as one of the leading Toronto groups of the swing era. McLintock began playing for television shows in the 1950s and 1960s, such as The Wayne and Shuster Show, Cross Canada Hit Parade, and The Music Makers, and worked at Stratford's Festival Theatre under Louis Applebaum. During the 1960s he again led a dance band (Old Mill, Toronto), established the Ellis McLintock Concert Band, and was music director for the Community Folk Art Council of Canada (which presented the annual "Nationbuilders - Canada" at the CNE Grandstand) and of the Canadian Pavilion Concert Band at Expo 67. In later years, after cancer surgery left him unable to play his instrument at the same level, he taught high-school music, first in Thornhill, Ont, and then in Orillia, Ont, retiring after 1986 to Delhi, Ont. He and his second wife, Erna, moved to Stratford, Ont, around 1993. McLintock was named 1994 Musician of Distinction by the Toronto Musicians' Association. |

| Search | Add | 12 | Nasmak P. M. | PM or P.M. stands for PlusMinus (see below) but also for Past Moves, and Perpetuum Mobile. Originally active from 1978 to 1984 as [a68040]. All members, including De Groot, have since worked together in partial formations. As a collective they created Nasmak PM (PlusMinus) in 2018. PM mainly stands for PlusMinus, to indicate that the line-up is variable and it is not just about the old Nasmak: members have left, or are sometimes unavailable, and there is also a desire to be able to work with guests. Nasmak PM started 40 years after the founding of Nasmak by Joop, Henk and Toon. PM1 Perpetuum Moblie: “[m=3384664]” (2023) is the first album of this renewed collaboration. It is called Perpetuum Mobile, because the 9 tracks on it are related to material from the early Nasmak days. | |

Like many of the old orchestras from Europe: "THE POPOVICH BROTHERS OF SOUTH CHICAGO is a portrait of a family of musicians in the heart of the Serbian-American community of South Chicago, and especially, the five Popovich brothers who made up the most famous and well loved tamburitza ensemble in the U.S. The film demonstrates the powerful role music plays in Serbian communities, the loving force it exerts on all members there and the tension that could unravel the cohesiveness of these communities when second and third generation, college-educated Serbians opt for professional lives in other cities. The film also chronicles some difficult developments in the life of these musicians who have been playing together since 1926, when their mother sent them off as children on a tour to play for the isolated Serbian mining and steel mill communities of the West and Midwest.". |

| Search | Add | 12 | Kyle Pepper | Kyle Pepper | Trance DJ Producer from Plymouth, UK. Kyle Pepper started out mixing at the age of 18, when he was introduced to the skills turntables could be used for by a close friend. Having a passion for music, he practised relentlessly mastering the art of mixing on Vinyl turntables, before progressing into the digital world. Through his teens he drew influence from all types of music, especially the sounds of trance, after discovering it at the well renowned nightclub of the Dance Academy in his hometown of Plymouth, where he heard it on a weekly basis. After supporting and attending many events in his home county, Kyle sent a mix CD he recorded into well established record label and event promoters Liquid Pulse, who booked him for one of their events supporting Mark EG and Lab 4. The promoters were impressed and he was asked to play again on a frequent basis, with all three promoters of the event noting his passion for trance music in the broadest sense. Since then his popularity has soared and Kyle plays various events all around the South of the UK, with brands such as Sequence, Crash Manor Presents, Liquid Pulse, Ignition and many more booking him to play. Kyle's drive doesn't just limit him to playing out in a nightclub, as he is often found in the studio working on original material as well as remakes. |

Some have referred to his raw style as Outsider Grunge Folk. Andrew Neil Has written nearly 450 songs since his musical journey began in the winter of 2009. He began to write songs out of the blue following a head injury he sustained in a car accident in Apr 2009. Andrew continues to write songs by ear. He knows little to nothing about basic chords and music theory, yet his music resonates with many people. The most common response to his music is that it is raw, yet so authentic and real. It sticks to folks. |

| Search | Add | 12 | Silent Wings | Silent Wings started out in the mind of Sven Reinicke and first came into existence in late 2010. Together with a long-time musical acquaintance, Lars Wessel, he went on to create the foundations of the band. The first groundwork had been laid when Rhea Logan joined the band in March 2011 as a vocalist, composer and the author of lyrics. In late 2011, during the process of working on the band's first material, the concept for Revolution Unfolding was born. Set on that course, the band focused on writing, composing and arranging the new songs for the next several months, concluding in April 2012 with the recording of vocals in the Silent Wings Studio in Oer-Erkenschwick, Germany. During that time, Alex von Uchtrup joined the band forces with his bass guitar. | |

| Search | Add | 12 | Orkater | Dutch theater company which originated from [a1346918]. The Orkater name is a combination of the Dutch words orkest and theater (orchestra and theatre). The company makes mostly contemporary music theatre, newly written and newly composed. Orkater cherishes the freedom with which performances are conceived, made and presented. The inevitable consequence is that no hard-and-fast policy can be followed when the repertoire is put together. In some Orkater productions, disciplines other than music theatre may have the upper hand. The location varies from a studio to a municipal theatre, from a museum to an outdoor summer festival. Although some would say that Orkater productions are always recognizable because of their "Orkater signature", they vary in character, scale and as to the cast. Orkater does not work with a regular group of performers - for many actors, musicians, directors, composers and text writers Orkater is the place where they can evolve their own ideas about music theatre. Orkater strives to present abroad those productions that are suitable for it, preferably in the language of the host country. Since the mother company [a1346918] (1972-1979) split to form De Horde (The Horde, 1981-84) and [a3939032] (The Mexican Hound, 1980 to present), there has always been confusion over the name. At the moment all productions are presented under the name Orkater, with the exception of those by writer/director Alex van Warmerdam, who operates under the name De Mexicaanse Hond. Orkater and De Mexicaanse Hond are grouped together under the umbrella of Stichting Orkater (The Orkater Foundation). Orkater has its own CD label ([l127050]). Over the years, Orkater productions have received critical acclaim from both public and press. Orkater has been honoured with numerous awards, national and international. | |

| Search | Add | 12 | Dufton Scott | Dufton Scott (1880-1944) was born at Forgue in Aberdeenshire in 1880 and started his working life as an ironmonger in nearby Huntly, and soon afterwards in Aberdeen itself. His ambition to become a professional entertainer led him to join George Walker's touring party, performing his own monolgues in a broad mid-Aberdeenshire accent. In these tours he often performed on the same bill as the fiddlers James Scott Skinner and Mackenzie Murdoch. By the First World War, Dufton's popularity was widespread in his native Scotland, and he was encouraged to publish a collection of his monologues, Dufton Scott's Sketches which was reprinted several times, even into the 1950s. With the arrival of radio in the 1920s, Dufton Scott quickly became a favourite, hosting such programmes as An Evenin' in the Grieve's Hoose, where his "Braid Scots Stories" would be interspersed with music and song from singers such as John Strachan and Tom Morrison, the latter with whom he collaborated on many musical and dramatic productions on stage, record and radio (in 1921 Scott and Morrison appeared in Mains's Wooin', a comedy drama written by Gavin Greig. As a result of the radio exposure, Scott recorded many of his monologues on 78rpm on the Columbia and Beltona labels. As well as his entertainment career, Scott owned a stationery shop in Inverurie, where he had settled after getting married in 1911. | |
