Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 12 | DJ BSR | DJ BSR is a techno deejay and producer based in The Hague (Netherlands) and has recently been spinning on a monthly basis at one of the techno havens in The Hague; Club Magistrat. DJ BSR’s love for electronic music started in the late eighties and early nineties. Almost immediately, he felt the need to start producing himself. He bought his first gear in 1991 and has never really stopped making music. With a strong love for the 303 sound, hardcore/ gabber, acid techno and hardtrance were his main genres at that time. Nowadays he does not think too much in genres, but if asked, he would probably say techno. The past still inspires him till this very day, so that’s what you will hear in most of his music- whether it’s in his own productions or his mixes, it is a combination of the past and modern sound. Coming from the heart, it is made full of passion and the way he wants it to sound, bringing joy to himself and to others. That will always be the drive for him to make music. | |

| Search | Add | 12 | The New Princes Toronto Band | In 1923 Sam Laschiver, who was the booking agent for fashionable 'Rector's Club' in Tottenham Court Road, London, met up with Toronto saxophonist [a=Hal Swain] in Canada. Swain gathered together a band of young jazz musicians, which Laschivier called "The Toronto Orchestra" and they were duly booked on a one year contract for the London club. This band were: Hal Swain (sax/cornet); Billy Hall (trombone/sax); Frank Walsh (piano/organ); Dave Caplan (banjo); Ran Garrison (sousaphone, trombone & sax); Ken Kenny (drums). On arrival in the UK the band found the club had closed. Laschiver got them a booking at the 'New Princes Restaurant' in Piccadilly and the band became resident there for two years - thus becoming "The New Princes Toronto Band". The band recorded in London on the Columbia label between Nov 1924 & Feb 1926. Some recordings were made for the Crystalate company under pseudonyms, as the band were contracted to Columbia. Labels for these were 'Imperial', 'Currys', 'Oliver', 'Pigmy' and 'Mimosa'. The 'disguised' band also issued on 'Regal'. Swain departed in 1926 and Caplan became the leader of the band (now with Harry Hoffman and Art Christmas) taking on his name as "[a=Dave Caplan's Toronto Band]". By the time this band toured Berlin in the summer of 1926 the line-up had changed further; Dave Caplan, Les Allen, Lorne Cole, Harry Hoffman, Laurie Day, Art Christmas, Arthur Lousley, Arthur Calkin & Jack Collins. | |

| Search | Add | 12 | Shannon Two Feathers | SHANNON TWO FEATHERS (Also worked as "Shannon twofeathers") Born: September 16, 1936 - Sandy Bay, Manitoba, CANADA Shannon Two Feathers was a Canadian Aboriginal (Anishnabe) singer/songwriter who achieved national recognition through his 1978 album "Dreams That Feed A Gypsy", released on the Edmonton, Alberta-based WSM Records label. Prior to the release of the album, Shannon Two Feathers' songs and vocal stylings were heard through a series of single releases, with his debut disc coming in 1972 on the Kanata label with the songs "The Only Way To Keep It" b/w "And She Travels" (KAN-1014). A follow-up came in 1973 on the IMI label with the single "Separation Blue" b/w "The Prisoner". An obscure and highly collectable album on the IMI label entitled "Separation Blue" was also reportedly issued in 1973. "The Prisoner" song, written by Shannon Two Feathers, was such a popular radio hit that RCA Canada picked up the recording and re-issued it as a single (KPBO-0005) b/w "Sweet Gypsy Hair", and it became Shannon Two Feathers' only nationally charted single, peaking at #20 on the RPM Charts in 1973 Shannon Two Feathers' next release came in 1975 on the Maple Haze Records label with the tunes "One Step Outside" b/w "Smile" (MH-7505). The 1978 release of his "Dreams That Feed A Gypsy" album on the WSM label also brought several single releases with the title track tune b/w "Smile" (WSM 45-507) and the follow-up "Maria" b/w "Daddy Doesn't Live There Anymore". The album, featuring all original songs written by Shannon Two Feathers, was co-produced by Shannon Two Feathers with Wes Dakus at Edmonton's Sundown Studios and was critically acclaimed, but unfortunately not well promoted by the independent label and not aggressively supported by Canadian country radio. Aside from his own recordings, Shannon Two Feathers also had his songs recorded by fellow Aboriginal artist Don Stonechild, with his 1978 WSM single "Child Of Stone" b/w "New Orleans". In addition to his talents as a singer and songwriter Shannon Two Feathers also appeared in the National Film Board movie "The Red Dress", and he wrote songs and music for the 1988 movie "Poundmaker's Lounge - A Healing Place". He was also an artist, with his Illustrations prominently featured in the book "People Of The Buffalo", authored by his multi-award winning wife, Maria Campbell. Shannon Two Feathers was inducted into the Manitoba Aboriginal Music Hall Of Fame in 2008. He has since been deceased, although date of death has not yet been confirmed by this writer. Also unconfirmed at this time is a surname, which may be "Roulette" or " Freddy Shannon" | |

Always trying to keep his presentations evolving and with a futuristic approach. On his Record Label though, Fundii Recordings, the producer promotes national and international underground acts with conceptual and experimentalist works as well as modern and introspective sounds in which He believes. | |

| Search | Add | 12 | Milt Abel | Milton Addison Abel | Milton Addison Abel was born July 5, 1928 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, one of 16 children to Harry and Susie Abel. Abel served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army and was based at Fort Leonard Wood. During his time in the U.S. Army, Abel played trombone and baritone horn in the 315th Army Band. When it came time for his Army discharge, Abel moved to Kansas City, where he met pianist and vocalist [a=Bettye Miller]. Miller and Abel began their twenty-plus-year musical romance when they met in 1953. The duo played faithfully at local Kansas City venues such as the Horseshoe Lounge, the Plaza III Restaurant, Putsch’s 210 and the Strawberry Patch as well as national venues such as the Ember’s in New York, Mr. Kelly’s in Chicago and the Dunes Hotel in Las Vegas. During their years together they also released several recordings. On February 28, 1977, Bettye Miller died of cancer at age 49. After the passing of his first wife, Abel continued his musical career as a bassist in Kansas City. He played with several groups in the city such as the Kansas City Jazz Quintet, the Frank Smith Trio, the Pete Eye Trio, as well as engagements with Bettye’s daughter, [a=Betty Jo Miller]. In 1986, Abel formed the Milt Abel Trio, performing at such Kansas City establishments as the Alameda Plaza Rooftop Lounge, Westin Crown Center Signboard Bar, and the Allis Plaza Hotel 12th Street Room. In 1980, Milt Abel married Linda Erwin. They had two children, son Milton II in 1983 and daughter Chloe-Grant in 1988. Abel and his son were playing gigs together by the time Milton II was six years old. Some of Abel’s greatest achievements include his induction both as an Elderstatesman of Kansas City Jazz and into the KC Jazz Commission’s KC Jazz Hall of Fame, both in 1989; a lifetime Gold Card Membership in Local 34-627 in 1993; and in 2005 was a recipient of the Coda Jazz Fund Lifetime Achievement Award. Milt Abel died on February 3, 2006, at age 77. |

| Search | Add | 12 | Tex Withers | Tex was born in Texas and abandoned as a baby because of his many deformities and arrived in England when he was seven. His rise in British country music showed remarkable resilience: he was four feet tall and a hunchback with a painful history of severe spinal problems and tuberculosis. Withers wore western dress throughout the day as he longed to be an American Indian - his wife, known as White Fawn, dressed as his squaw and smoked a clay pipe. A good-natured man who laughed at his handicaps, Withers was the long-standing compère at West London’s Nashville Room and won several awards as the Top UK country singer, his show-stoppers being ‘These Hands’ and a narration about a Red Indian’s difficulties in coming to terms with society, ‘The Ballad Of Ira Hayes’. Tex Withers Sings Country Style sold 135, 000 copies, while his 1973 album, The Grand Ole Opry’s Newest Star was recorded mainly in Nashville, Tennessee. He was championed by Hank Snow, but his professional career was cut short by throat illness. Withers became bankrupt and his illiteracy made work difficult. His last years were spent as a cleaner at Gatwick Airport and Haywards Heath railway station. He found his happy hunting ground on 29 December 1986, probably aged 53, and merited an obituary in The Times. | |

| Search | Add | 12 | Orquestra Típica Portuguesa | Orquestra Típica Portuguesa | Founded in 1928 by Raúl de Campos, initially with the status of "Orquestra Ligeira" and "Orquestra de Dança", it stood out for being one of the most faithful interpreters of Portuguese Music, within the scope of regional music and the "Charleston" music produced in season. Integrated into the ranks of Emissora Nacional in 1934, under the direction of Alberto Fernandes and conductor-composer Frederico de Freitas, it was renamed "Orquestra Portuguesa", being responsible for the "Popular Concerts in the Open Air", which achieved great success at the time. It was temporarily extinguished in 1938, due to economic and financial complications. It would become the model for founding similar orchestras throughout the country, such as the Orquestra Típica de Acordeão Algarvia, the Orquestra de João Nobre, the Orquestra Típica Ribatejana or the Orquestra Típica de Alcobaça. Refounded in 1942, the Orquestra Típica was handed over to the maestro and composer from Leiria José Belo Marques, who gave it an unprecedented quality and excellence, being recruited for radio programs under his own name, or for the famous "Evenings for Workers” and “Evenings for Soldiers”. During its very open activity, until the year of its extinction in 1958, it achieved surprising popularity and reputation. He provided several highly successful shows and important phonographic recordings, both under his own name and under other identities. He was responsible for the first phonographic patent for great hits in Portuguese music, including "Adeus Mouraria" by Artur Ribeiro, "Ai Se os Meus Olhos Falassem" by Tristão da Silva, "Alcobaça" by Maria de Lourdes Resende, "Descamisada" by Maria Antonieta or "Gaiata Morena" by Manuel Fernandes. His biggest instrumental hits were "Tavira" by Luciano de Campos, "Correio do Algarve" by José Mourato, the "Rapsódia Portuguesa" by Manuel de Figueiredo, the "Fandango da Suite Alentejana" by Luiz de Freitas Branco, the "Suite Portuguesa" Nº 1" by Ruy Coelho, "Corridinho 1951" by João Gomes Figueiredo, or "Estoi" by Luís Romero. |

Vadim Pytkin; born 1983) is a charismatic singer and DIY musician, a rare representative of quality and distinctive synthesizer music in Russia, one of its main pioneers. Since 2008, he has been creating electronic songs as diverse as possible, free from any stylistic framework. Not accepting any boring restrictions in the process of his music creation, inspired by the best musicians in their fields – https://clck.ru/3GMxfY , Phil Nite expertly and tastefully experiments with various musical directions, always maintaining his own unique signature sound – https://vk.cc/c93taP . Which is a real rarity in today's music world for the most part consisting of countless epigones and kolkhozans. Phil Nite creates all his songs independently, mostly using hardware synthesizers Korg (R3; Micro X; microKorg MK1; Kaoss Pad 3) in his home studio in Kaliningrad. He writes the lyrics to his songs himself and sings them live at concerts. In addition, Phil Nite fundamentally not uses any auto-tunes for his vocals either live performances or in the studio work. An important fact: from 2002 to 2008 Phil Nite played drums and sang in various purely guitar bands that used almost no elements of electronic sound. These groups mostly played proto-punk, punk rock, post-punk, post-punk revival, indie rock. |

| Search | Add | 12 | Gyrlie | Lydia Madajewski | The Dance project GYRLIE evolved from the basic need to bring sensual melodies to the dance floor. The musical DNA of the creative mind that hides behind the band’s name avor 90’s Euro-Dance rhythms as the backbone for her productions. Lydia Pockaj collected her merits working with genre icons such as E-ROTIC, Missing Heart, Apanachee and Bad Boys Blue. With the catchy tune "I Feel Sun", GYRLIE makes its successful debut in the summer of 2017, rounded out few months later by the bassy "I Feel Sun (REMIXES)" EP. Just in time before the turn of the year, the powerful single "Right Now" is released. The mystic, yet danceable song reminds of good old Euro-Dance times yet carries his own trademark thanks to its playfulness. In May 2018 "Save Me", the third and most rocking single of GYRLIE, is released. Paired with a cool dance-pop beat, "Save me" evokes spring fever on the dance floor and makes you wish for more. Just in time for the Christmas holidays, the label Laydee Records delivers a treat that does not go to the thighs, but makes you wanna dance. With the fourth single "Fantasy", Gyrlie explores the whole spectrum of danceable rhythms and romantic feelings. The result is a song that beams the listener out of the cosy warmth right onto the energetic dance floor. Also 2019 could not end without a GYRLIE release - „Tonight“ -the fifth single- not only incorporates romance and rhythm, but impresses by heart melting lyrics and the warm, yet powerful vocals. In line with the tradition, the sixth single is released in December and is carried by Lydia Pockaj’s soulful voice, while the instruments remain pleasantly discreet in the background. At the same time, the orchestral background gives the song a unique structure that makes “Far Away” perhaps the most classic title in GYRLIE's discography. More GYRLIE releases are expected and the team is also working on the full Album. The release dates are not confirmed yet. |

His large body of work supersedes his contemporaries exponentially in both quantity and quality as dozens of one-to-two hour long collections remain unpublished among his already vast expanse of releases. His electronic based sounds seem to organically transform and grow. Having been compared to peers as avant-garde as Matthewdavid, Venetian Snares and Satanicpornocultshop, it is no wonder his seemingly psychedelic-induced songs reflect better the complexities of a creature than a song itself. Smark may as well be a scientist mixing sounds in place of chemicals, constantly creating and reinventing new species of life. |

He previously left a footprint on the bands [a2220473], [a2661722], [a1738689]'s backing band, and in the last few years has also accompanied singer-songwriter Ima Teva. In early 2020, he stepped out of the shadows from Kieslowski and embarked on a solo career with the album [r=16586364] (The Darkness is Still Far Away), produced by Tomáš Havlen (Post-hudba, Zvíře jménem podzim, Spomenik, etc.). [r=16586364] ranked in the Top 20 of Radio 1's annual charts, in Full Moon magazine's list of the best records of 2020, in the top ten of Musicserver.cz's best albums of the year, and in Expres FM's selection of the best records of 2020. In April 2022, Pomahač is releasing his second solo album [m=2599649] via the label Minority Records. The co-writer of the music and producer of the record is Martin Hůla (aka Martin Tvrdý or Bonus). The album marks a new approach to writing for Pomahač. This time he did not seek inspiration in his personal life; instead the lyrics are mainly inspired by single sentences from the novels of H.G. Wells, dystopian sci-fi and the stories of those around him, weaving together tales of self-preservation and the will to survive. On the [m=2599649] album, guests include the violinist Jenovéfa Boková, cellist Marie Dorazilová, and David’s son [a2833548], who accompanies him onstage at concerts. The [a2833477] era is not forgotten however; these songs are part of Pomahač's history and are still included at his shows. |

| Search | Add | 12 | The Mid-States 4 | The Mid-States Four is the Barbershop Harmony Society's 1949 International Quartet Champion. First formed in 1942 as the Bell & Howell 4 with George Kledzik on tenor, Marty Mendro on lead, Forest “Forry” Haynes on baritone, and Bob Corbett on bass. The group changed their name to “Mid-States 4” when they left Bell & Howell and went to work for Mid-State Insurance and they sponsored the quartet. They competed in their first international contest in 1945 and placed 6th, they repeated as 6th place in 1946. That same year they won the Illinois District championship. Following that contest, Bob Rodriguez (later known as Bob Mack) replaced George Kledzik as tenor. In 1947, Arthur “Art” Gracey joined them as bass replacing Bob Corbett who was forced to leave due to job demands. They were 3rd place bronze medalists in 1947 and 2nd place silver medalists in 1948. They won it all in 1949 in Buffalo, NY. Following their victory in 1949 they went on to travel the country singing for hundreds of thousands of people. In 1950, the Mid-States 4 traveled to Korea for the U.S. troops singing 33 shows in 13 days. The Mid-States 4 went on to become well known for their slapstick comedy on stage and using musical instruments with their barbershop singing. They released three albums during their time together. In late 1957, Marty Mendro dropped out of the quartet due to job commitments and was replaced by Dick Mangunson for a short period of time until he returned around 1959. The Mid-States 4 retired in 1966 after 24 years of singing together. Mendro relocated to Arizona and Mack and Haynes relocated to Florida. They had a few reunions in the late 60’s and early 70’s. Art Gracey died in 1979. In 1982, Marty Mendro relocated to Florida and he, Bob Mack, and Forry Haynes decided to get the Mid-States 4 back together with Phil Hansen replacing the late Art Gracey as bass. They actively sang together on shows again until the spring of 1988 when Bob Mack died. Their final performance was in July of 1988 on the 1988 AIC Show in San Antonio, TX with Don Barnick of Grandma’s Boys and Keepsake filling in on tenor. Marty Mendro died in 2010, Phil Hansen died in 2012, and Forry Haynes died in 2014. | |

| Search | Add | 12 | Kamil P. aka TheInfluence | Kamil Piekutowski | Kamil P, aka The Influence, is a Chicago based techno DJ and producer. Kamil adopted Chicago as his hometown upon relocating from Poland in 1999. As a child, Kamil was always drawn to music. His mother signed him up for piano lessons, which also included the fundamentals of music theory. He knew from an early age that he wanted to be in the music business. Kamil was first exposed to techno in high school, and was hooked. To him, the rhythmic and hypnotic ritual went beyond mere dance music. His teenage years were spent obsessively collecting DJ sets from various artists, listening to how the disparate tracks connect into a larger musical expression. When later music making software became more affordable, Kamil was able to experiment, making his own tracks, trying different combinations of loops and effects. This gave him some understanding of how electronic music is made – especially techno – but nothing yet close to a full production. A few years after moving to Chicago, Kamil got his first set of equipment; a simple mixer and two plastic Gemini turntables. With the help of DJ Liquid (Michael Kolbasky), known for performing at after hours parties throughout the city, he used these simple tools to learn how to DJ. His gear soon upgraded: along with a prodigious record collection, industry standard Technics 1200’s and a Pioneer DJM-700 mixer were now a part of his arsenal. He got his first gigs by promoting his demos, and was playing in clubs around Chicago. As time progressed, so did Kamil’s record collection and skill as a DJ, he realized that playing other people’s music was not enough – he needed to make his own. A local techno artist, DJ Mani (Manish Miglani), introduced him to Ableton Live software, which allowed Kamil to make a finished musical product. In 2007, Kamil’s track Detown Afterhours was selected on Dobox’s compilation Resurgence. This marked his first official release, sharing the compilation with techno icons such as Jerome Baker, Lester Fitzpatrick, and Kit Clayton. After the release of Resurgence, Kamil founded his own label, Drugaci Exhibitions. Along with music from himself, Drugaci Exhibitions is also responsible for the debut releases from DJ Seoul (Bill Stacy), Hansollo (Daniel Noetzel), and Unphixd. Currently, Kamil mainly focuses on production. He has found homes in labels such as SubDivizion, UKR, Mind Burn Recordings, and Right Groove Recordings. His tracks continue to be played by artists such as Lester Fitzpatrick, Terry Mitchell, Daz Furey, and DJ Seoul (among others). From an artistic perspective, Kamil shies away from popular formats of techno, pushing the envelope towards more experimental compositions. |
