Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 12 Shannon Two Feathers SHANNON TWO FEATHERS (Also worked as "Shannon twofeathers") Born: September 16, 1936 - Sandy Bay, Manitoba, CANADA Shannon Two Feathers was a Canadian Aboriginal (Anishnabe) singer/songwriter who achieved national recognition through his 1978 album "Dreams That Feed A Gypsy", released on the Edmonton, Alberta-based WSM Records label. Prior to the release of the album, Shannon Two Feathers' songs and vocal stylings were heard through a series of single releases, with his debut disc coming in 1972 on the Kanata label with the songs "The Only Way To Keep It" b/w "And She Travels" (KAN-1014). A follow-up came in 1973 on the IMI label with the single "Separation Blue" b/w "The Prisoner". An obscure and highly collectable album on the IMI label entitled "Separation Blue" was also reportedly issued in 1973. "The Prisoner" song, written by Shannon Two Feathers, was such a popular radio hit that RCA Canada picked up the recording and re-issued it as a single (KPBO-0005) b/w "Sweet Gypsy Hair", and it became Shannon Two Feathers' only nationally charted single, peaking at #20 on the RPM Charts in 1973 Shannon Two Feathers' next release came in 1975 on the Maple Haze Records label with the tunes "One Step Outside" b/w "Smile" (MH-7505). The 1978 release of his "Dreams That Feed A Gypsy" album on the WSM label also brought several single releases with the title track tune b/w "Smile" (WSM 45-507) and the follow-up "Maria" b/w "Daddy Doesn't Live There Anymore". The album, featuring all original songs written by Shannon Two Feathers, was co-produced by Shannon Two Feathers with Wes Dakus at Edmonton's Sundown Studios and was critically acclaimed, but unfortunately not well promoted by the independent label and not aggressively supported by Canadian country radio. Aside from his own recordings, Shannon Two Feathers also had his songs recorded by fellow Aboriginal artist Don Stonechild, with his 1978 WSM single "Child Of Stone" b/w "New Orleans". In addition to his talents as a singer and songwriter Shannon Two Feathers also appeared in the National Film Board movie "The Red Dress", and he wrote songs and music for the 1988 movie "Poundmaker's Lounge - A Healing Place". He was also an artist, with his Illustrations prominently featured in the book "People Of The Buffalo", authored by his multi-award winning wife, Maria Campbell. Shannon Two Feathers was inducted into the Manitoba Aboriginal Music Hall Of Fame in 2008. He has since been deceased, although date of death has not yet been confirmed by this writer. Also unconfirmed at this time is a surname, which may be "Roulette" or " Freddy Shannon"

Search Add 12 Norman Barratt British guitarist and songwriter, born in Newton-le-Willows, Lancashire, England on 5th February 1949. Norman Barratt, who died on 31 July 2011, guitarist, singer and frontman, Norman was a regular performer at Greenbelt in the 70s and 80s, and a hugely popular figure at the festival. Norman came to prominence in the progressive rock band Gravy Train, who recorded four studio albums during the early 70s. Subsequently, his emotive, soulful guitar-playing skills were in high demand as a session player, sideman and band member. He joined the Alwyn Wall Band in 1976, recording the classic The Prize, before going on to front the Barratt Band, who produced two studio releases, Playing in the City and The Voice. He then toured and recorded with innumerable acts, including Jessy Dixon, Sheila Walsh, Phil Keaggy, Steve Taylor, Cliff Richard and Barry McGuire. After becoming disillusioned with the Christian music industry, he went on to concentrate on session work, local church activity and recording in his own studio. Norman will be remembered as a sweet, kind and humble man, and as an incendiary guitarist.

Search Add 12 Billy Shaddox Lyons, Colorado I live and make music in Lyons, Colorado. A few years back I set up a studio at my home and started recording my songs and making them into albums. My vision is to create hand crafted albums, personalized, rich with intention and care, limited in quantity and whenever possible imperfect. Along the way I built a skateboarding halfpipe and started hosting concerts from it, I call it the Rampitheater. I love guitars, skateboarding, painting and drawing, fly fishing, quiet time on the land, being with my wife and kids, a good fire in the wood stove, and taking in the stars at night. Hope you enjoy my musical offerings. Drop me a line or come see me in person. Sincerely, Billy Bio Billy Shaddox is blessed with the ability to blend the western dualities of coastal dreamer and high mountain drifter into his deep, easy flowing songs. This is modern American folk music with pop sensibilities. Rooted in stories of love and fortune lost, perspective and enlightenment gained, Shaddox captures the mystique of the West with indelible lyrical imagery and sharply original musicality: the displaced modern man weary of coping with vanishing ideals, the present-minded realist, the uncontrollable jealousy of the downtrodden miner, and the bright-eyed morning traveler setting out to make his mark on the world. The characters who inhabit Shaddox’ tales have a depth of personality and situational believability that leaves the listener feeling affected by their being long after their songs have woven their course. Shaddox is fresh out of the studio where he recorded a new album with producer Sam Kassirer at Great North Sound Society in Maine. Sam has producered Josh Ritter, Lake Street Dive, David Wax Museum, and Langhorn Slim to name a few, and his collaboration with Billy has resulted in a dynamic album that highlights Shaddox’ song writing and musicianship. Shaddox is a routine traveler, he is a musician, a camper, a skateboarder, and is always taking in what his surroundings are delivering. Keep an eye out for #folkwise, #billyshaddox, and #skateparksacrossamerica, when Billy Shaddox comes to your town you will want to be there!

Search Add 12 Dansbandet Chiquita Dansbandet Chiquita In 1968, [a1791359] formed, together with some friends, an orchestra in Alingsås, Sweden. The band was renamed to Chiquita Brass in 1972, and as that Chiquita Brass had an entry on the Swedish charts on June 1, 1975. But, during the disco-era, from 1977 to 1979, the orchestra both skipped the last word Brass and also played disco music. In 1981, there was another style change and back was what it all started with in 1968, and that is what the orchestra still performs, i.e. dance music at dance venues. Members in the orchestra between 2009 and 2014 were [a1791382] - vocals, guitar, saxophone; [a1791359] - bass, backing vocals; [a1791373] - keyboards, accordion, vocals; Simon Åhs - drums, vocals. In 2015, Jörgen and Simon were replaced by [a1791368] - keyboards, accordion, vocals; Thomas Andreasson - drums. In 2018, Tomas Edström left the orchestra and is since then replaced by [a3502393]. Martino Borén, drums and voals, is also a new member since 2019 and is replacing Thomas Andreasson.

Search Add 12 Orquestra Típica Portuguesa Orquestra Típica Portuguesa Founded in 1928 by Raúl de Campos, initially with the status of "Orquestra Ligeira" and "Orquestra de Dança", it stood out for being one of the most faithful interpreters of Portuguese Music, within the scope of regional music and the "Charleston" music produced in season. Integrated into the ranks of Emissora Nacional in 1934, under the direction of Alberto Fernandes and conductor-composer Frederico de Freitas, it was renamed "Orquestra Portuguesa", being responsible for the "Popular Concerts in the Open Air", which achieved great success at the time. It was temporarily extinguished in 1938, due to economic and financial complications. It would become the model for founding similar orchestras throughout the country, such as the Orquestra Típica de Acordeão Algarvia, the Orquestra de João Nobre, the Orquestra Típica Ribatejana or the Orquestra Típica de Alcobaça. Refounded in 1942, the Orquestra Típica was handed over to the maestro and composer from Leiria José Belo Marques, who gave it an unprecedented quality and excellence, being recruited for radio programs under his own name, or for the famous "Evenings for Workers” and “Evenings for Soldiers”. During its very open activity, until the year of its extinction in 1958, it achieved surprising popularity and reputation. He provided several highly successful shows and important phonographic recordings, both under his own name and under other identities. He was responsible for the first phonographic patent for great hits in Portuguese music, including "Adeus Mouraria" by Artur Ribeiro, "Ai Se os Meus Olhos Falassem" by Tristão da Silva, "Alcobaça" by Maria de Lourdes Resende, "Descamisada" by Maria Antonieta or "Gaiata Morena" by Manuel Fernandes. His biggest instrumental hits were "Tavira" by Luciano de Campos, "Correio do Algarve" by José Mourato, the "Rapsódia Portuguesa" by Manuel de Figueiredo, the "Fandango da Suite Alentejana" by Luiz de Freitas Branco, the "Suite Portuguesa" Nº 1" by Ruy Coelho, "Corridinho 1951" by João Gomes Figueiredo, or "Estoi" by Luís Romero.

Search Add 12 The Mid-States 4 The Mid-States Four is the Barbershop Harmony Society's 1949 International Quartet Champion. First formed in 1942 as the Bell & Howell 4 with George Kledzik on tenor, Marty Mendro on lead, Forest “Forry” Haynes on baritone, and Bob Corbett on bass. The group changed their name to “Mid-States 4” when they left Bell & Howell and went to work for Mid-State Insurance and they sponsored the quartet. They competed in their first international contest in 1945 and placed 6th, they repeated as 6th place in 1946. That same year they won the Illinois District championship. Following that contest, Bob Rodriguez (later known as Bob Mack) replaced George Kledzik as tenor. In 1947, Arthur “Art” Gracey joined them as bass replacing Bob Corbett who was forced to leave due to job demands. They were 3rd place bronze medalists in 1947 and 2nd place silver medalists in 1948. They won it all in 1949 in Buffalo, NY. Following their victory in 1949 they went on to travel the country singing for hundreds of thousands of people. In 1950, the Mid-States 4 traveled to Korea for the U.S. troops singing 33 shows in 13 days. The Mid-States 4 went on to become well known for their slapstick comedy on stage and using musical instruments with their barbershop singing. They released three albums during their time together. In late 1957, Marty Mendro dropped out of the quartet due to job commitments and was replaced by Dick Mangunson for a short period of time until he returned around 1959. The Mid-States 4 retired in 1966 after 24 years of singing together. Mendro relocated to Arizona and Mack and Haynes relocated to Florida. They had a few reunions in the late 60’s and early 70’s. Art Gracey died in 1979. In 1982, Marty Mendro relocated to Florida and he, Bob Mack, and Forry Haynes decided to get the Mid-States 4 back together with Phil Hansen replacing the late Art Gracey as bass. They actively sang together on shows again until the spring of 1988 when Bob Mack died. Their final performance was in July of 1988 on the 1988 AIC Show in San Antonio, TX with Don Barnick of Grandma’s Boys and Keepsake filling in on tenor. Marty Mendro died in 2010, Phil Hansen died in 2012, and Forry Haynes died in 2014.

At the age of 17, when he recorded this first single containing the songs "Na Crista da Onda" on side A and "A Thousand Girls" on side B. In 1967, the young singer recorded great hits like "Do not Touch This Long-Play", "Proof of Love" and "Carousel", but only the following year, 1968, Arthurzinho achieved total consecration, while recording the mega -hit-young guardian "Giant Wheel". the most played song of the year, released in a compact one whose B side brought the beautiful "What's Good Little Hard". From there, his career gained notoriety and Arthurzinho became one of the leading idols of the Young Guard. Other successes came, such as "Children's Times", "The Cardnino", "I'm Gamado Nela", etc. In 2005 and 2006 he participated in the "Ratinho Program", in the special "Quarta Maravilhosa", along with other great artists as well. On November 24, 2007, Arturzinho presented himself at the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the APCD Regional Jaú, in the city of São Paulo.

His talent behind the decks, spinning records, as well as making them, is central to his rising profile, since his first days playing as a youngster in legendary club Industria in Belgrade. Soon as his musical vision got certain shape, Shoxy was releasing music for some of the most known electronic labels across the globe. His Discogs discography profile is stacked with amazing and different records, mostly on vinyl. In the last several years he is playing all across the world, major festivals and events. Passionate about the vinyl since day one, he is still carry around special bag of records with him, full of cosmic goodness. In constant search for a perfect beat, Shoxy can play from chillest music, house to stormy Techno sound which is still his favorite field for experimentation. He loves seeing people dancing in any occasion, big festival or a club. With tours into other genres, Shoxy explores boundaries of Electronic music even today, and his every new release has a story to tell, authentic like so many of his closest cohorts. Beside being very skilled music producer, Shoxy is a music nerd at heart, digging for music everywhere, in second hand vinyl shops across the world and making his own special gems to play. A simple desire to have fun seems to define Shoxy. Even so, it's easy to see why he's steadily climbing Europe's house and techno scene and he is resident DJ on so many places and festivals around the world. The best reason for catching Shoxy set is a special music, played on a different way which is slowly becoming his own trademark.

His large body of work supersedes his contemporaries exponentially in both quantity and quality as dozens of one-to-two hour long collections remain unpublished among his already vast expanse of releases. His electronic based sounds seem to organically transform and grow. Having been compared to peers as avant-garde as Matthewdavid, Venetian Snares and Satanicpornocultshop, it is no wonder his seemingly psychedelic-induced songs reflect better the complexities of a creature than a song itself. Smark may as well be a scientist mixing sounds in place of chemicals, constantly creating and reinventing new species of life.

Search Add 12 Monday Listening Club MONDAY LISTENING CLUB is a globally distributed group of artists collaborating on a journey through the decades of lost music. Through patchwork, sampling lost works, collage, composition and creation... new music emerges. Led by group of 5-time platinum music producer and collaborating artists with 200+ productions / remix projects, Monday Listening Club brings together a group of diverse artists in Vancouver, Hong Kong, New York, London & Los Angeles. Their first art-project release - Lost but found This project captures the energy and optimism of artists, groups, songwriters, producers, and musicians whose stories were buried in the obscurity of the record label machine, for one reason or another. A track that was never explored, an album that collected dust, a track that was a blip in the timeline of musical consumption. Rights that were sold and merged and sold again. Masters missing, diminished quality, liner notes and credits all deleted, buried in the landfills. Magic lost to the dusty shelf of time. Our project is an outsider’s view of these stories, a journey to rediscover what was lost. To breathe fresh air through musical interpolation. A modern day collaboration samples lost vinyl with fresh tracks from around the world to create a connected, personal sound of memories past. All in the blaring sunshine of a Californian Sunday, a residual of the best weekend among friends. Monday Listening Club breathes fresh life into tracks for the “you may also like” generation, fusing together and reworking the dozens of compositions that inspired our project, all woven into something new. Inhale the smell of old dusty vinyl. Walk the overgrown path created by songwriters with stories to tell. Stories lost and found some 50 years later. Patched, sampled, reworked into something new.

Search Add 12 Dagashi Kashi 駄菓子菓子 The band was formed in 1997, as a new wave duo first called "Squash" (ぐにゃり). The members where Mera-Dono on vocals / bass and E.Shima Terushige on guitar / synth. The next year, they start to doing some hard rock music and rennamed themselves "Dagashi Kashi" (駄菓子菓子), with in bonus new members. As long as the year was going, they lose all the new members. They only found a new drummer in 1999, but it's in 2000 that the bassist Sakaidesan discover the band (and became part of it) and also introduce Dagashi Kashi to his label: "Hormone Tank Record". They also released their first album "Botai Nai Sekai" (母胎内世界). Even if the line-up staid unstable, they could release their second reccord, "Jingaikyou No Heya" (人外境の部屋) in 2002. In the same year, they been asked to be part of the compilation "Ugou no Shuu" (烏合の衆), with several other japanese punk-rock bands. In 2003, they even tour into the USA. The two former members decided to create an alter-ego to the band with their new-wave concept. The duo was called "Katakata 16 Fun" (カタカタ16分). They also released their third record "Kokoro Mushi" (こころむし). In 2004, the label "Satsugai Enka Vinyl" (that made the "Ugou no Shuu" (烏合の衆) compilation) decided to made a remix album of a couple of songs from the band. It was called "Dagui" (駄喰). In 2006, E.Shima Terushige, one of the founder of the band quit, leaving the band in mourning. They finally released another album in 2007, called "Amida Kudi" (阿弥陀くぢ), with the same spirit than their first album, even if we thought his spirit has died with the years: their old school side is stronger than the time ! Then, the shows were rares and they didn't release anything since 2010, when Mera-Dono released her first solo single. The sells of the album give back the taste to the band to come up with a fifth album: "Bonnou Go Dan Katsuyou" (煩悩五段活用). They made a hommage show to "新宿LOFT", a guitarist of session of the band that died. Then, the line-up changed a lot with the time, so the band had decided to record nothing since they will be stabilized.

Search Add 12 Jordan Wayne Lee Jordan Wayne Lee Jordan Wayne Lee creates experimental instrumental rock music based in Los Angeles, California. Creating atmospheric and ambient soundscapes inspired by nature, ambient sounds and a spiritual lens. Songs are created with guitars looping and layering multiple effects in single takes and combining with layering unconventional tones through a 1971 Fender Rhodes.
His goal is to explore layers of noise with self-imposed restrictions. Finding complexity within tones and effects while taking a minimal approach to recording and composition. As an art director and designer, he approaches the tonality, notation, composition and arrangements from a designed perspective integrating tempo and composition that is heavily influenced through the use of the golden ratio, grids and design fundamentals as sound explorations. Jordan grew up playing in a number of punk rock, shoegaze and hardcore bands in the Pacific Northwest on the outskirts of the Seattle grunge scene. Later he went on to play in multiple projects in TN, studying music, theology and communications in college and playing in a number of bands opening for national touring acts. Life led him in a different direction through digital design - working with major global brands - and he stepped away from music for almost a decade. This is a collection of work from life experience, design and spirituality.

In the mid-eighties, Katsutoshi was an intermittent member of the controversial noise collective [a=The Gerogerigegege] and had collaborated with its founder [a=Juntaro Yamanouchi] on many occasions. They recorded a few tracks together as [a=Gero-Kuso] for [r=8818286] cassette compilation, released in 1994 by [l742140] (later re-released on the '99 [r5804914] memorial tape). In the liner notes to a '98 [r=517721], Kuso is credited, alongside with [a=Toshinori Fukuda] on drums, as a vocalist on "75 Live Songs (1987)," a 31-min long track which is supposed to be a 'remastered' [m=584338] album. On the original Tokyo Anal Dynamite, recorded in Oct 1987, vocals were simply marked as [a577748]—in Japanese, it literally means "he/she/they died," an equivalent of 'obiit' or a 'dagger' † symbol next to the deceased person's name. Fukuda, who wasn't really much known other than [a=Dynamite Gero] and didn't have any credited appearances after ~1988, could've already passed away by the T.A.D. CD was released in 1990. Unlike him, Munechika certainly continued playing and recording at least until the mid-nineties, which calls the credibility of either Tokyo Anal Dynamite's or Recollections Of Primary Masturbation's liner notes in question. He had been in the hospital since Nov 2017 and died due to aspiration pneumonia on 12th May 2020, aged 51.

Search Add 12 Taras Bullba TARAS BULLBA punkrock / skatepunk band Plzeň, Czech republic active since 2001 when split bands STÁDO MIKROBÚ and TARAS BUL´BA (also recorded a demo). Then renamed to TARASOVI MIKROBY (played first show after this name and recorded a demo). First line-up: BACHI DEJV PALMÍK TEREZ GARGI VENCA. In this combo they played first classic 9 shows. Then VENCA quit. And Classic formation then is till 2005 BACHI - songwritting, guitar, vocals, PALMÍK - drums, rehearsal room keeper, DEJV - guitar, archivist and graphics, TEREZ - bass. A guy named DOKTOR was since 2004 till 2005 around to help play bass when TEREZ can´t or had other things to do towards liberation. In 2006 band started to work on a program to a fourth album with a new bassplayer SMETÁK who easily became our friend and stabile member. In 2007 DEJV quits a band and starts his own emo-screamo band. Shortly, there played a guitarist BAXX, who also quits after recording session for Portraits of false authority Then starts a second classic era in three. There is alson to mention that our band member SMETAK made realize our improvised DIY studio, so we are since fifth record fully autonomous. However these proclamation seems vague in these times (2022), in year 2011 was situation different. After releasing a sixth album Nostalgie band goes on a short tour to Izrael, where organizer VATI also wanted to play with us (both sides) and after that tour flought from that country to became our stabile guitarist and also on few vocals. It took a long time to release seventh record 7ALUTE MACHINA, on which he has also his own song, and that´s first exception in whole twenty years when is on TARAS BULLBA material someone else than BACHi who sings the whole song. Despite the fact that we played some big shows outta punk-rock community, our home is in diy shows that are free and mere personal.
