Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Nellie Kolle | British-born vaudeville artiste & male impersonator, pianist and songwriter (b. UK 17 Oct., 1890 - d. Adelaide, South Australia 5 July 1971) Nellie Kolle first toured Australia in 1912 for the Brennan-Fuller organisation, and over the next two decades established herself as one of the country’s great vaudeville singers and male impersonators. During the mid-1920s she travelled around Australia with her own vaudeville show and continued performing in pantomimes, revue and in concerts up until the 1950s. Kolle’s association with radio began in the late-1920s and she was still active in the medium more than two decades later. Worked on the Tivoli circuit in the 1940s. She settled in Adelaide, and appeared regularly at the Olde King's Music Hall theatre-restaurant until shortly before death at 80. During her later years she was particularly popular with community singing events. Composed many of her own songs. Most of her records feature her own piano. | |

She grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee and her father was a preacher. Dubby sang with a few jazz groups in addition to [a=Charlie Spivak]'s group, such as the [a=Nelson Riddle And His Orchestra], and still, when asked, sings at the Langdale Theatre (Valley, Alabama) with bands that need a singer. |

And so Strobic Axe was born in the halls of Adam Scott C.V.I.. A David Bowie freak, an Ace Frehley wannabe, and two Rush –aholics, who all shared an ambition to be rock stars, and fit more power chords, bass notes and drums fills within a bar of music than might be decently possible. It was a stirring underground noise… In February 1979, Strobic Axe came out of the basement. Michael Bell/vocals, John Crown/drums, Rick Kemp/bass and Alex Stangl/guitar played a raucous set of original songs, peppered with just enough Cheap Trick and David Bowie to mesmerize a captive audience at an assembly in the school gymnasium. The boys were hooked. From that gig until their last in December of 1981, the band played the bars and outdoor summer festivals of Southern Ontario. In February 1981, Strobic Axe, managed by Rob Franke, released a 11 song vinyl LP titled Hor Einmal Zu!. (You can listen to the album in the player above). They were turbulent musical times. John Lennon was tragically taken from the world. Somewhere in their minds the boys felt history and the universe were positioning them for world dominance. It never happened. Or did it? In many ways they achieved a lasting and convincing cult status. During their 3 years together, the band developed a devoted following that recorded their many live shows and rehearsals. Each gig was an event. A life altering experience…so they say... As 1981 came to a close, the band played one last midnight dance in Hastings, Ontario to a packed pavilion. Drugs, underage drinking, unrestrained egos and manic-depressive illness were shutting down the dream, whatever it was. The Strobic Axe story was over. Or was it? Through the years there would be many from the society of Strobic Axe revivalists that would attempt to coerce the band into another show, but the issues of old would resurface. And the legend in the minds of many would loom even larger. Michael Bell went on to publish an underground leftist entertainment magazine; John Crown became a drum teacher, session musician and producer; Rick Kemp became a newspaper editor; Alex Stangl navigated the world of mania and depression on a steady diet of lithium pills, though he continued to write and produce songs in a poorly lit basement, making ends meet by driving a taxi. Their paths did cross on occasion, but there was always too much baggage from the past along for the ride.

| Search | Add | 2 | Juno Kids | Electronic project from the USA. Formed in 2017. Juno Kids is an experimental IDM/Synthwave project from experienced duo Derek Mount (Brique a Braq/Former Family Force 5) and Philip Zach (Silver Pages/Arrows and Sound/Former Remedy Drive). The prolific songwriters/producers have written a combined 11 number one singles and 22 charting songs across various Billboard charts, and have performed more than 3,000 live concerts with their respective former bands: Remedy Drive and Family Force 5 (including Bamboozle, Sonisphere, Warped Tour). Each partner has culled an extensive track record in licensing, combining for more than 3,000 sync licenses collectively in films (Sony Pictures, Lionsgate, NBCUniversal); commercials (Chevrolet, BMW, Blackberry); television (MTV, VH1, CMT); sporting events (ESPN, WWE, NHL), and more. The pair originally met in 2009, when their bands shared more than 40 tour dates together. A compelling friendship formed between Mount and Zach, rooted in a shared passion for theology, fitness, and electronic music. In the summer of 2014, the two reunited serendipitously, as Instagram revealed to each friend that the other was simultaneously vacationing in Europe. During their rendezvous in the garden of Versailles, the duo made an agreement to collaborate musically. | |

The guys met 20 years ago at Keene State College when Rick asked Chris where the hell he bought his Minor Threat t-shirt. Rick was a guitarist in such classic hardcore bands as Last Breath and Spoke and eventually went on to become a pharmacist. He lives in Montpelier, Vermont. Chris received his MFA from Goddard College and has taught creative writing at both high schools and colleges for over 16 years. He’s published a bunch of books, many of them poetry—in fact, his most recent collection is ORDINARY GODS (Salmon, Ireland—2017). Chris currently lives in the Adirondacks even though he hates the winter. Go figure. Rick and Chris still share an affinity for the 80’s D.C. music scene.

He began to be interested in composition in 1993 (when he was 12 years old). Although he had no musical studies, he started learning some music basics in a completely self-taught way. In January, 2000 Marc LP presented his facet of radio DJ in a radio show called Get Ready!, weekly on RVRadio (a local broadcasting station) for two years and a half. In 2002 he won the Official Night People Remix Competition, brought by Tanga Records & Swing Flaix (David Gausa & Xavi Jaso) from Flaix FM, being the first commercially published work of the artist. At late 2003 Neuronium Records was interested in the artist's music and quickly they signed a contract with CoolWind to release globally his first album, Sound Exploration. The next studio album of the artist is planned for mid-2006. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Fiction Dog | The beginnings of what would become Fiction Dog started when drummer Chris White and guitarist Warren Tews met at a party in the fall of 1989. Although they had gone to the same high school, they had never ran into each other until a mutual friend introduced them after both had graduated and coincidentally moved to the same city - Wausau, Wisconsin. They quickly found a bass player in Collin Lueck, whom Chris knew from college, and began jamming in Warren's bedroom. Searching for a lead vocalist proved difficult in the small central Wisconsin city, and they auditioned a number of promising talents - one of whom was local son Tim McKeough. Unfortunately, Tim didn't get along with Dave, their other guitar player, so he wouldn't commit to the band at the time. After a year or so (and one very funny story), Dave was gone and Tim gave in to the pressure from Chris and Warren to join the band, then known as Teaser. They quickly changed their name to something less gay, Typhoid Mary, and began to solicit gigs. The first opening gig was at the Loading Zone in Wausau, opening for the locally celebrated group Zuma J. Their first all-night solo show in Tomahawk, WI featured a light show by Gary Erickson, who threw lit cigarettes at the band for the entire night. What a card! A number of shows followed, each one a story in and of itself. During this time, the name Fiction Dog (borrowed from a poem by Jim Morrison) was brought up and took hold. A three-song demo called Leap was recorded at Mitch Viegut's Premiere Studios in Wausau to display their writing ability. Collin and the rest of band amicably parted ways after a time, and the hunt was on for another bass player. Gary Erickson (the cigarette tosser) was already a respected musician in the prominent Wisconsin band Storm, but was growing dissatisfied there. Since his girlfriend at the time had managed Fiction Dog, he knew the guys and came over with an armload of Kingsbury beer one night. By the next morning, the lineup was solidified and Warren had (temporarily) given up drinking. The first few gigs with Gary proved to be the most exciting to date, since his experience brought a cohesiveness to the band that had not yet been realized. Original music was, from the start, a priority for the band, even though the area wasn't too keen on anything but cover songs. In 1993, they jumped into the studio again and recorded fido, a full-length CD, hoping it would propel them into stardom, at least in Wausau. Within a few weeks of its release, it hit #1 at Inner Sleeve, the local independent record shop, and all was well. Over the next few years they supported fido by gigging all over Wisconsin, tentatively venturing into Minnesota and Illinois. With each performance they became more and more solid. A "real" manager and booking agent were soon brought on board. Since they all held 9-5 jobs, the weekends were the only time to let the dog out of its cage, and they made it count by piling up shows every chance they could. They once opened for 80's hair band Slaughter on their Oh-Crap-We're-Broke-But-Maybe-Someone-Will-Show-Up Tour, and got a slot at the annual MetalFest in Milwaukee. Record contracts loomed and they hastily recorded a six-song EP, Mr. Salvation and the Tire Pumps, to demonstrate the growth of their writing since fido. Things began to unravel in 1996 with the collapse of a record deal with Curb Records and the firing of their manager, Shaun Barusch. This disillusionment with the recording industry eventually led to the last "official" gig in September of 1996 in Manitowoc WI, at a bar ironically called the Dog House. Pat stole the sign. After much pressure from their fans :), they recorded a new full-length album in 2004 on one of those new-fangled computer thingys, titled bitter winter. The prerequisite arguments were not very civil but a product was eventually produced. Twenty-eight songs were recorded, 18 of which made it onto the album. The remaining 10 were released as Addendum in 2006. New songs are in the works although some members procrastinate more than others. Through it all, the members have managed to sustain a friendship and love of playing collectively as Fiction Dog. Once or twice a year they get together to renew that bond and bring down the house in the area that has born them… central Wisconsin. It's what they do. Chris White (T-Fly) - Drums Warren Tews (2Z) - Guitar Tim McKeough (MC Q) - Vocals Gary Erickson (G. Money) - Bass Pat Nelson - Lights Mitch Viegut - Engineering on Leap, fido, and Mr. Salvation Rico Jaeger - Live sound | |
