Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 The Brain Chiggers The Brain Chiggers are a five piece band out of the Illinois area that have recently put together a five song EP entitled "Organized Chaos", which describes their music perfectly. What you'll find on this album is something that is different from most of the indie albums out there today. They are aggressive, raw, and heavy, while at the same time incorporating some acoustics and mellower parts into their music as well. Samples and electronics also play a big role in their sound, which are done by both vocalist, P.M., and drummer, M. Jackson.

Search Add 2 Crown Boyz The Deep South has had many artists to break ground and make it to the surface of the mainstream, and the quartet from Miami known as Crown Boyz, definitely lists among them. The four-man team whose members consist of Dirty-Thirty, Metro J (who also produces all of their tracks), Zoereli, and Shady K have been wreaking havoc on the Deep South's hip-hop scene since the early nineties. Crown Boyz was formed out of two former rival groups (The Fifth Crown and Dirty Clowns). When trials of life and moves to other parts of the state (Florida) left members of both groups incomplete it wasn't long before they realized their potential to become a force to be reckoned with by banding together. Now known as Crown Boyz their unique sound has left many headz nodding throughout the south and has even developed a fan base as far north as New York. Coming from a city where artists such as Trick Daddy and Uncle Luke are automatically thought of when Miami is mentioned, Crown Boyz are undoubtedly the next entity to keep the Magic City afloat in the rap music industry. Since the formation of Crown Boyz in 1999, their formula for success has not only been attributed to by their lyrical styling, but also by the production of one of the most sought out producers in The Bottom, their very own Metro J. Who has produced tracks for everyone from Lost Tribe (Slip n' Slide), Gruesome Pack and a host of others. Those who have seen them perform or heard any of their songs will instantly be taken by one of their catchy hooks, and fiery production. Definitely keep your eyes and ears open for their debut video "Tight Work" and their debut CD "Welcome to Da Bottom".

Search Add 2 Unruly Girls Unruly Girls is a duo project from Benevento: Luigi Limongelli and Humbert Alison work close together in composition, producing and recording, while Humbert is the one bringing it to the crowds as a one man show. Their debut album "Cruel Tales" (July 2017), was totally home produced, and has been recognised as a stunning and more than promising debut. The band's name was inspired by The Smiths' "Barbarism Begins at Home" , with Morrissey singing: "Unruly boys who will not grow up must be taken in hand, Unruly Girls who will not settle down they must be taken in hand". Of course irony and ambivalence are basic ingredients here. With more than 100 concerts in Italy and Europe, and a growing interest from audience and press, Unruly Girls are ready to share their allucinatory and raw vision with a brand new world. Their new album "Epidemic" came out on April 21th via Dirty beach Records. Compared with their firs work "Cruel Tales" the sound is darker, charged with emotions and psycological nuances in which bouncing bass lines, acid synths, fuzzy guitars and spacey drumming are the perfect scenery of their garage rock'n roll mayhem.

Search Add 2 Venezuela 4 By 1973, the master composer and arranger [a=Luis Laguna] (†) founded in Maracay, the group Venezuela 4. The group Venezuela 4 was mainly dedicated to instrumental music of traditional Venezuelan roots, over time the compositions of maestro Luis Laguna became a mandatory repertoire for students, singers and musical groups. Venezuela 4 releases its first full-length album in June 1975. Chronologically, this is the first group that gave indications of a change in Venezuelan traditional root music, although its work as an active group was brief compared to those of Raíces de Venezuela and [a=El Cuarteto], which have already passed thirty years of activity. Two record productions as a group and a series of albums accompanying singers, is the recorded legacy of Venezuela 4. The death of its leader, [a=Luis Laguna], in 1984, meant that the group did not stay longer. Undoubtedly, Laguna was a fundamental piece of this group, in addition to being, for his excellence, one of the most popular and important composers of Venezuela, especially towards the second half of the twentieth century, because from his compositions he becomes the protagonist of the aesthetic change of Venezuelan music. [a=Aquiles Báez], a renowned Venezuelan guitarist and composer with a long career, comments in a personal capacity that changes in music generally occur from the proposals of the composers, in the case of Venezuela, Laguna is a benchmark of the transformations in Venezuelan music in the 70s, since his work updated the traditional repertoire and opened the way to a new generation of musicians who later, during the 80s and now more recently in the 21st century, have continued with the line of work proposed by the teacher. By 1968 musicians began to gather, especially guitarists, in the house of maestro Laguna located in Maracay, Aragua state. These first calls were made with the intention of playing music based on the teacher's teachings, as well as exploring new musical proposals, especially those from Brazilian music. From there, an ensemble of musicians begins to be profiled in which these learned ideas began to come to life. Over the years the proposals born of that kind of laboratory that was the house of Laguna were concretized in a musical work that was formalized with the birth of the group Venezuela 4 in 1973, «... originally composed of Luis Laguna (guitar and direction ), his son Carlos Laguna (four), Eliécer Guzmán (mandolin) and Carlos Soto (double bass) »(Guido and Peñin, 1998: 718). Later [a=Henry Martínez] and Lencho Amaro join the guitar. But this need to differentiate had detractors, there was "... a lot of criticism of what Venezuela did 4, they said we made Brazilian meringues, distorting Venezuelan music, it took us a lot to be accepted," says [a=Henry Martínez]. It is normal for changes to generate positions found by the most orthodox, but thanks to these transformations, traditional music becomes dynamic and changing, thus enriching its own evolution.

Our philosophy is close to the music festival of the previous decade, where we lived a Punk/Metal reality in close contact with skate, graffiti and environments where music was constantly changing. We immediately became passionate about Psytrance and what we're doing now is combining the dynamism of electronic music with the energy of guitars. Keep an eye on our pages for more MADNESS!! Biography Silvervoid are a Rock band from the West London area. Their sound is founded on the Classic British Blues/Hard Rock pioneers of the late 60’s and early 70’s but also take influence from many other acts from across the decades and modern times. Silvervoid formed in 2017 with a view of playing the kind of music that inspired the members to start playing in the first place, without simply being a nostalgia trip. At the beginning of 2017 the band entered Henwood studios in Oxfordshire to record their debut EP. The 5 Track EP is available digitally at the bands Bandcamp site.
