Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026

Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Maria T-Ta Patricia Roncal Zuñiga Peruvian Singer and Songwriter (Lima, July 12, 1961 - Germany, March 29, 2012), Belonged to the Peruvian Underground Rock Scene in the 80's. Lead Vocals of [a=Maria T-Ta Y El Empujón Brutal] and founded [a=Concha Acústica], considered the 1st Peruvian Underground Rock Band formed by female members. Published in the fanzine "Punto de Placer" (1986). Her mysterious departure from Peru (1991) contributed to the construction of a myth about her as she did not maintain contact with her underground friends and was not heard from again until 2014 when the information about her death was made public because of pancreatic cancer. Her style, although keeping great distances, was compared to that of German Punk [a=Nina Hagen]. She was one of the few women who assumed a leadership position within a Peruvian Rock Scene dominated mostly by men. Nonetheless, became the central target of misogyny within that scene with testimonials of verbal and physical abuse received by male rockers.

Search Add 3 Shantykoor De Headammers Back to the atmosphere of the nostalgic sailor life, that is the intended goal of Shantykoor “De Headammers”. This choir was founded in 1989 and is part of “Water sports association St. Nicolaasga”. The choir consists of a number of basses and tenors and is accompanied by a few accordionists. Two- or polyphonic songs are alternated by songs with solo singing (shantyman) and follow-up singing (the proper shantys). Most songs are sung in German, English and Dutch or in Pidgin-English a mixture of several languages. You will be transported back a hundred, two hundred years to the heyday of sailing with clippers and schooners and to harbor districts all over the world. During the day it was very busy there and at night the sailors wasted their hard-earned money in a short time. The crews consisted of tough tough guys from all over the world, who were recruited in the harbor bars. This is how rhythmic work songs, “shanties”, and cheerful or melancholic songs for leisure time, “forbitters”, were created, the musical ingredients of the adventurous but hard seaman's life.

Search Add 3 Lindley Band 14a Holly Bank Road, Lindley, Huddersfield HD3 3JE T: 07792722190 Email: bookings@thelindleyband.net With the advent of keys and valves on brass instruments in the late 1820’s all brass ensembles became viable. Lindley must have been one of the first all-brass bands to be formed in Great Britain. The first evidence of the band is in the late 1830s when it was recorded in the Parish register that a group of players from the village of Lindley organised to play at a Sunday service at St Stephen’s. Lindley Brass Band is also recorded in the minutes of the Lindley Zion School being engaged to perform for their Whitsuntide parade in 1835 and so must have been in existence some time previously in order to achieve a suitable standard to be able to perform in public. The school minutes record that a fee was paid plus beer for band members. One can only speculate what may have happened as the following year it was minuted that milk was to be provided for the younger members of the band!

Search Add 3 Double Mute Double Mute is a venture founded by Jacob Rosenberg (co-founder of Vitam Aeternam, Desperate Machines, and In Progress). Their mission statement is simple: CORPORATE MUSIC FOR CORPORATE PEOPLE. Originally created in a silo, Rosenberg strategically pivoted and merged with other innovative thought leaders in the space to build a network and unlock the project's full musical potential. Corporate Culture is a proof of concept or minimal viable product (MVP) designed to overwhelm the senses and fill listeners with a sense of dread and a healthy “case of the Mondays.” Its forward-thinking blend of pop, noise rock, industrial, funk metal, and chamber music tested off the charts in focus groups and is now ready for public consumption.

Search Add 3 Alessandro Fais ALESSANDRO FAIS (Singer of Sardinian popular music) (Cantante della musica folkloristica sarda). Born in 1936, in Sindia, until a few years ago he was rightly considered one of the protagonist of "Canto a chitarra" (song of Sardinian folklore with guitar). Equipped with a decidedly expressive voice and with a strong charge of sympathy, Fais imposed itself long to win L'Usignolo della Sardegna, the highest singing competition organized every year in Ozieri. His melodious voice, brilliant and of great communicative capacity, made sure that the public gave him a broad consensus. In particular, Fais distinguished himself in the execution of the mutos de amore, but above all with his Ballu de Sindia, in a cheerful and lively interpretation, such as to deeply involve his listeners. It was also his personality, full of deep and sincere humanity, that made him appreciable and amiable to the general public. In 2005 he was awarded an important career award by the ACLI of Sardinia. Many recordings were made together with other cantadores, such as "Sa gara", in the company of cantadores Serafino Murru and Francesco Cubeddu, guitarist Antonio Marongiu and accordionist Pietro Madau. After a career in agriculture and agronomy, he devoted himself permanently his creative activity from 1980. By the mid 1960s, he experimented on a work matter whether mineral or sound and is over time and encounters his musical universe which combines mainly free jazz, extra-European music, Olivier Messiaen, and later the Baroque, John Cage, Philip Corner, Morton Feldman, Tom Johnson, Giacinto Scelsi. In 1965, he created a series of paintings materialists, then gradually moving to wood and metal sculpture. In 1988, the "encounter" with a brass plate in-principle for a sculpture opens the door (voice?) Sound. Other plates follow and gradually form an instrumentarium significant gongs and bells platforms that keeps growing since then. His friend Philip Corner interested in his work and during his visits to Paris, first played solo and in duet with Michael Vogel on instrumentarium created by the latter. Since then, Michel Vogel continued his musical compositions and performs her solo or with other musicians from the jazz and improvised music. It is part including the collective "In hear" and has just released his first album in LP Planam, Alga Marghen. Not being trained musician, Michel Vogel develops his music "his way", a mixture of improvisation and rigor. It is better defined as a sound sculptor and metal ringer.

They later switched to playing real instruments and in January 1979 at the club Nefertiti in Gothenburg recorded their first own album "Övervintring" which contains jazz rock, including the song "10 000 volt genom Travolta". Members were then: Stefan Sandberg (guitar, saxophone) Olle Niklasson (saxophone, flute, guitar) Mats Eklöf (saxophone, cornet) Dan Hellström (keyboards) Michael Krönlein (bass) Tomas Olsson (percussion, drums) Niels Nordin (drums) Prior to the second album Afrocarib 80, some new members were recruited, including [a1688569], previously in the Gothenburg song group and the [a2091311], as well as [a1688570] from Text & Musik.

Search Add 3 мʌvʌ мʌvʌ is audiovisual artist who comes from Slovakia. Prior to songwriting, he had been writing poetry for several years. He never attended any music classes, so to compensate for it he started experimenting with different sounds, structures, rhythms and melodies. After recording some virtual piano demos at dorm which later turned into songs, he self-released debut album "Sinusoidal" under artistic name мʌvʌ in April 2016. Sonically, the record is a tilting mix of artificial and organic sounds, heaviness represented by grandiose church pipe and reed organs and lightness by uplifting solemn synth strings. In 2017, short 4-track EP of covers titled "Lues" came to life. It comprises of his own renditions of popular tracks from the late 50’s and early 60’s era. Trying to improve his skills, мʌvʌ decided to teach himself acoustic guitar. These attempts gave birth to the sophomore acoustic record "Enklávy bezlesia" [in English "Forest-free Enclaves"]. All songs (unlike those on the first album) are sung in Slovak language andhave their individual audiovisual presentation (music video, lyric video, photographies, herbarium). The album is primarily based on wordplay and its style is called "Slovák retrogard" in order to refer to the retrospective aspect of lyrics presented in new unorthodox context. The third record titled "Sun & Moon" explores living in the nether world with intricate animal aesthetics conveyed by vocal experiments, combining organic instrumentals with gloomy sounds of vintage synths.

Search Add 3 The Gary Cooper Combo Gary Cooper was from the beginning a Lars Mertanen (now Kranz) solo project after the Iguana Foundation. Harry Byrnes (Electric Garden) who had released Iguana Foundation on record thought Lars should start playing live, so Pelle Strandberg who sang in Iguana Foundation took the drums, Iggo (from Kitchen & the Plastic Spoons) took the bass, and Mats Hellqvist (later bob hund) took the solo guitar. Lars wrote most of the songs, sang and played some guitar. The name Gary Cooper was filled with Combo. Pelle left after just a few gigs, but was replaced by Mats' brother Martin on drums. He was in for about three years, hoping to leave when he was expecting children, then replaced by Mats Andersson (Zoo, bob hund). Mats Hellqvist was in for about one and a half years, he would rather play bass and started Apa, Epa and later bob hund. John Essing took over the solo guitar and the last year, Per Ulander also featured on violin, harmonica and guitar. Two singles and one LP were released by Harry before the band split after about four years.

In 1992 he approached to the underground house scene and works in the making of some tracks with other producers in his hometown.
