These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Having released the debut psychedelic garage rock LP, Is It In The Circle?, as a two-piece alongside co-founder and long time collaborator, Shakir "Shaks" Samat (drums) in January 2013, Mamat roped in Zaki Shariff (keyboards) and Mohamed Hanis (bass) to expand their repertoire and explore their self-proclaimed “psychedelic groove rock” genre characterized by a guitar-driven sonic space complemented by the added textures of the “cosmic” upper registers of the keyboards. The band released Moondust, the band's second EP, in February 2014 as part of a collaboration project with Lomography Blue Hour Sessions, The Rockstar Collective (RSC), graphic designer Djohan Hanapi and visual projection artist Wu Jun Han. He was an empirical musician who, with his great talent, was able to reach a level of perfection in the use of his voice. He became known in the 1930s through the national radio stations HI2, HIX, and HIN, and by the year 1940 he was so popular that he won the contest that was held at the Teatro Travieso, where he was chosen as the most popular singer of radio in Ciudad Trujillo (Santo Domingo). His triumphs continued to rise and in 1943 he was hired by "La Voz del Yuna" to sing with the [a=Super Orquesta San José]. In 1947 he returned to HIZ where he performed with the Continental Orchestra. In 1948 he returned to La Voz del Yuna, when the station had already settled in Ciudad Trujillo. In that same year he was chosen as the most popular singer in a contest that was sponsored by the magazine Salón Fígaro and that was realized by the vote of the public. In that period, he sang in duo with [a8707990]. Nicolás Casimiro sang a fundamentally Dominican repertoire, which included songs by [a=Juan Lockward], Diógenes Silva, [a=Enriquillo Sánchez], [a=Bullumba Landestoy] and Leopoldo Gómez among others. In 1957 he recorded with La Voz Dominicana a series of pieces that appeared on 45 RPM singles; among them were: "Españolita", "Su Preocupación", "Vega Vieja" and "Silencio". Later, he recorded several albums, including "Nicolás Casimiro Y Sus Amigos", "Nicolás Casimiro Canta" and "Ese Es Nicolás Casimiro". His repertoire was extensive and varied, rich in genres. His voice had a beautiful timbre, with a very accurate concept of tuning and an incomparable Antillean sentiment. On September 17th, 1964, Casimiro (who's nickname was Colás) died in the city where he was born. |

James composed the soundscape score and additional music for Mercury Award winning Sampha’s film Process, directed by Kahlil Joseph. James continued collaborating with Joseph, working on Black Mary and Flypaper, which have been shown in the Tate Modern in London, New York’s New Museum and MOCA in Los Angeles. James was invited to Thread, an artist residency in Senegal run by the Josef & Anni Albers Foundation. There he worked producing music with musicians and recording music for fashion designer Grace Wales Bonner. Shadiii released a maxi single, Yes I’m Gonna Give It Up, in 1985 on rpM’s right track label written by Sizwe Zako, produced by allister coakley and engineer, creg cutler. Maybe I should pay a special tribute to Faith Shadi Kekana, daughter of a preacherman who featured in many music projects before going solo. She has travelled the world backing superstars as a vocalist. Besides her session musicianship, she’s been a member of the all rounders, Shadiii as well as Varukweru whose members included Vusi Khumalo (drums), Bakithi Khumalo (bass), Zoli Bacela (guitar) and ndumiso nyovane (trumpet). Sadly, Bacela passed away in august 2006, a few days before the death of talented saxophonist, Moses Khumalo. We worked on American bases throughout Europe. Some of the great country Artists we worked with in those days were. Tammy Wynett, Melba Montgomery, Hank Snow, Hank Locklin, Slim Whitman, Charlie Pride and my great old mate Willie Nelson. Plus many more. Some of my Tumbleweed band members over that period included. Roger Dean (ex John Mayall) Albert Lee (ex Hogan’s heroes, Emmy Lou Harris, and an Emmy winner in his own right) Jerry West (a regular with Slim Whitman on Steel guitar) Johnny Boniface on Drums and (recently with Georgie Fame) Dave Peacock on bass. (Dave is the other half of Chas and Dave a super star act in London. A appearance on the “Life of Riley” TV show in 1969. was watched by Dance hall entrepreneur Con Hynes from @Portumna, Co. Galway He approached me and asked if I would come to Ireland,and form a Show Band. The money and conditions of the contract were great so over I came. I collected a great bunch of musicians JJ Lombard,(Bass) Shay Spain (Drums and driver extraordinaire), Tony Kirby (Fiddle and vocals) Johnny Rush (Keyboards) Senan Drury (Keyboards) John O’Brian (Guitar)Myself on Rhythm guitar, We also had a Steel player who’s name I can’t recollect but often supplemented by that top picker Basil Henriques At the time I was already signed to the Decca record label and had made an album titled “The Tumbleweeds live at the Hitching post” ( Leixlip). However I signed up with Con’s own label “Quality records” and made a number of singles. “ If the world turned into Ashes” “Stand beside me” “Four strong winds” etc. Life in Portumna was a wonderful experience I always knew I would end my days living in Ireland. However my fiancée had other plans and at the death knell of the show band scene we married and took off for Australia. We enjoyed Australia for thirty years, raised two fine boys. I developed a career as a Musician, Actor, and Video Film Maker. Oh how the years fly. So now, here I am back these last three years, living in Barna Galway. I have been working in a three piece pub band called “Top Form” Ronnie Mangan ex Indians on drums and Noel Keane (Sean’s brother on Bass) I had to leave Top form after a heart operation. However now I’m fully recovered, and as fit as a Mally Bull (Aussie _expression) and am the producer/Director of my own Video production Company “Cyrus Films International” I still love to sing and play guitar and tenor sax. I am on the lookout for another band to join...
