Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 9 | Dr. Martens Beat | Dr. Martens Beat got together as a band around 1998. Jose & Sonia were also playing in Ruín Bois at the time, but they would occasionally meet some good friends who had a project (I wouldn’t call it a band really, as they could hardly play at all, were just testing out ideas for songs, and didn’t even have a proper drummer), so one day they simply gathered to see what could come out of it, and since they got along really well and loved to drink a beer or three in the meanwhile, a new band was born. They agreed on the name Dr. Martens Beat as it sounded just great, and they also meant to pay homage to one of their favourite bands back then: Böhse Onkelz. Eventually the line-up would be Néstor (vocals & lyrics), Jose (lead guitar & songs), Carlos (rhythm guitar), Dani (bass) and Sonia (drums). At first, their songs were mostly in Galician, but knowing how little most people would care about them around here, they went for English. In a few months they had recorded a couple of demo-tapes, which were basically done with an old mixing-desk that was left on recording while the band was rehearsing, at no cost at all by the way, which was a fuckin’ brilliant plus! Mind you, those demos were never intended to be published at all. They just wanted to check out what they sounded like, and were for private use. It’s kind of surprising to be told that they’re on the web, and quite a few people have them (and apparently like them!). Furthermore, someone even spent the time (and I guess money) to produce a cassette, without any permission of course… Eh motherfucker, where’s our fuckin’ cash??!! Anyway Néstor decided to send copies of those songs to some European labels and that brought about their first EP, on Dim Records in Germany. Those four tracks were recorded around 1999 in the same place where they used to practise at that time. Considering it was the first time that they or, for that matter, the studio guy himself was to record something properly, I guess sound-wise there’s not so much to complain about. Also around that time they were to have the first of the two gigs they ever got to play (funnily enough both of them outside Galiza!). One was the farewell concert of Ruín Bois in León (Spain), the other a festival near Lisbon (Portugal) together with Mataratos and other Punk, Hardcore and Metal bands. Incidentally, that gig would end up in a serious riot, which appeared in the Portuguese papers the following day, nice pic of the Galician band included! Soon after Dim brought out that 7”, Carlos left the band. No big deal really. From then on, Néstor took up playing rhythm guitar too, and Jose would also sing in some songs, so apart from the music, he started writing his own lyrics. More practicing and quite a few beers later, they got a recording offer from Bords De Seine in France. They recorded three songs for the label: two of them sung by Jose and one by Néstor. It must be said this time they were a lot happier with the sound quality, not to mention the songs themselves! In 2001 “You’ll never walk alone” and “The Man who came from León” were published as a 7”, whereas in that same year “In the Crowd” was to show up on a compilation LP called “Oi! What a Wonderful World”, with international bands such as Forced Reality or The Templars. In any case, around that time DMB just decided to call it a day. There were proposals to publish an album, but the truth is they were hardly rehearsing at all, and they simply were not having fun any longer, as they used to. They basically went their separate ways (two ended up living in London) and pretty soon some of them were to be found in different music ventures. What you hold here is all their studio works, plus a bonus track taken from one of their demos, a reminder of the good times they had back then. Having a laugh?... sure, but “fuck the world” was more like it… Jose (Dr. Martens Beat), January 2017 | |

He is the sole servant of sickness. Called the PLAGUE RAT, he scurries among the Sonic Kingdoms leaving nothing but death behind him in his endless travels. Those who hear the siren's song of the PLAGUE RAT are at least offered the panacea of facing oblivion, after experiencing the true excess life can offer. Giving in to every whim... every hunger and every desire fulfilled. Will you join the choir of the hedonistic dead? Will you add your final death rattle to his eternal choir? One can never know for certain when his time will end. At least your demise may be in the presence of one who knows death so intimately as to make the introduction shared between old friends."

Founded in the mid-1950s, the Collegium was first conceived as an opportunity for graduate students in musicology to experience early music in a performance context that was tightly integrated with the academic curriculum. Previous directors have founded or are currently directors of notable choral ensembles, including Capella Nova (Richard Taruskin), Pomerium (Alexander Blachly), and Anonymous 4 (Susan Hellauer, also director of the Collegium Musicum at Queen's College), and Eric Rice (the Collegium Musicum of the University of Connecticut). Many years as adjunct professor of music at Lehman College in the Bronx, teaching introductory music appreciation. Known to carillonneurs as coining the term "carillonneuse", and insisting that it be used to describe female bell ringers. Had no respect for fake (amplified rod) carillons and those who played them. | Search | Add | 9 | Rosalie James | Singer, songwriter, miserabilist. Rosalie was born in Cornwall, in the far South West of the UK. She had a musical upbringing; her childhood memories are of climbing trees and reading books with an eclectic soundtrack on a bright yellow Sony Walkman including The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, The Monkees, Steely Dan, The Bangles, Pink Floyd, Elton John, Kate Bush and David Bowie. Rosalie’s father, always a working roadie and musician, toured the US with The Grateful Dead and other bands during the 1970s, creating the belief that life as a musician was always only a small step away. She started learning the piano at 5 and the guitar at 14 and sang to anyone who would listen. Rosalie started out creating song and dance routines to Madonna and Michael Jackson, then grew out of that and spent hours moodily playing guitar along with The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Nirvana, U2, The Lemonheads and REM. Rosalie’s teenage years were spent obsessing over Suede, Blur, Elastica, Sleeper, Pulp, The Divine Comedy and The Longpigs, although she never realised her dream of fronting an indie band or of marrying Evan Dando. She continues to love both the earnest and emotional synthpop and the edgier new wave of the 1980s (Roxy Music, Cocteau Twins, Sparks). In the early 2000s Rosalie began writing and recording in ambient/down-tempo electronica duo Delaware with guitarist and producer Benjamin Morgan, influenced by Zero 7 and Air. Although Delaware played very few gigs, one song ‘I Can Get Out’ was used in US series The Black Donnellys, sparking a life-long ambition to get a song on Grey’s Anatomy. Rosalie has since performed in various bands, building her confidence as a songwriter, pianist and backing singer. She formed pop-folk band All the Fires in 2008 and performed as lead singer in Cornwall and around the UK to a steadily growing and loyal fan base. All the Fires released their debut album ‘Territories’ in 2012 to popular acclaim but the band ended in early 2013 – a subject Rosalie will talk about at length if required to but would much rather leave to your imagination. Rosalie’s work is an unusual mixture of melancholy and mischievousness. Her voice and songs can be heart-breaking, but coupled with a wry, sardonic humour and a propensity for candid on-stage and lyrical revelations about her own mental health (which she self-describes as “a fun combination of autistic traits and EUPD”), religion, heartbreak, television and substance abuse it makes for an interesting show. Rosalie makes no apology for including her own versions of popular hits by Kate Bush, Radiohead, Billy Bragg, The Cure, The Eagles, Nine Inch Nails and many others in her set. These sit comfortably alongside Rosalie’s own compositions, in which the influence of the classic songwriting of the 70s, the 80s’ emotional depth and 90s’ hooky indie melodies can be clearly felt. Rosalie says that she has repeatedly tried to give up music but that it just won’t seem to go away. She is now recording her debut album, which predicts a move towards the atmospheric LA indie/dreampop sound (think Phoebe Bridgers, Cigarettes After Sex, Sharon Van Etten, Lucy Dacus). Her joy in writing and performing both her own and others’ songs is evident and what is guaranteed is that in every performance and every recording, Rosalie gives you a little piece of her accidentally massive heart.

Born in September 17, 1974, and raised in Toronto (Canada), Frank started mixing and dubbing cassette tapes when he was 7. Inspired by break dance music, classic hip-hop, and retro/alternative dance music, he started experimenting with mixing. His grade 4 teacher commented on Frank's report card how he marveled and enjoyed music. In 1986 Frank discovered "Dave's Dance Music" hosted by Dave Ahmad which aired on CKLN 88.1FM every Sunday between 1:00PM to 4:00PM and also in 1990 he discovered "Footnotes" (aka "Hard Drive") on CIUT 89.5FM hosted by Phantasy, Goldie & The Rufige Kru which played on Sundays between 4:00PM to 6:00PM. He started listening to House music, Freestyle, Techno, Funk, Reggae, and other styles of Electronic genre. In 2005 Frank started as a hobby to create his own music. He took on the name "2Touch". This name originated from his honeymoon when he played water volleyball in Mexico and Frank use to touch the volleyball two times and his team mate Lloyd nicknamed Frank as "Two Touch". He worked on his first house single called "Blast Zone". He also finished Techno tracks "Serious Rhythm" and "Insane" and house track "Just House". Frank also experimented with Beat boxing and Techno called "Authentic" which meant all sounds were from Beat boxing and natural sounds mixed together. In 2016 Frank is currently working on his first EP release to add some earlier tracks plus new Acid House tracks. Frank changed his Artist name to "Acidone", from Acetone which is a organic compound that is a colorless, volatile, flammable liquid, combined with "Acid" for Acid House music. In July of 2016, Frank released his first two 12" singles called "Acid Rant" (new track) and "Blacid Storm" (acid mixes of his original 2005 house track "Blast Zone"). He also released first LP called "Acid Man" in June 2017. In July 2017, his artist name has changed again from "Acidone" to "Micrometer". Lately, Frank has been working with Jordan Fields and Adonis in several projects. Check out "Acid Swing". You haven't heard the last of his music yet. |

| Search | Add | 9 | John Luttrell | John Luttrell | John Luttrell is a composer, producer, singer-songwriter, and performer. His music spans genres including solo works on guitar and piano, ambient and progressive rock, as well as scores for media and films. A true "citizen of the world" John was born in Venezuela in 1957 where he lived until his family moved to the US, the first of many cultural influences that appear in his music. Luttrell began his musical journey playing piano when his family moved from the US to Tripoli, Libya. After a few disappointing lessons, self-inspired, John played by ear, teaching himself piano and mandolin. In the 70s the influence of Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, and finally Led Zeppelin fueled John's desire to get his first guitar. His family relocated to Lagos, Nigeria where he was influenced by the Afrobeat rhythms of musicians like King Sunny Ade, which you can hear in his compositions today (Earth Dance). At 14, he attended The American School in Switzerland which became his opportunity test his wings. During the years there he jammed with roommate and future bandmate, Dave Veirs (Interstellar Dust) and became immersed in the music of progressive rock groups such as Yes, ELP, Pink Floyd, Genesis, The Moody Blues, and Mike Oldfield. At the height of the 70s British rock explosion John moved to London and joined a band called Chillum, playing both guitar and organ. Luttrell went from London to Phoenix, Arizona where he studied electronics engineering, to explore his interest in synthesizers and electronic music. In the 80s John played guitar and sang in the Los Angeles-based prog rock trio Helios with boarding school friend Dave Veirs on keyboard and guitar, and Tony Betino on drums, playing numerous gigs in the LA area. John established his own indie label "OtterSong Records" and production company “BasisMedia Communication” in Southern California in the 90's while playing numerous gigs around LA. 2000 saw the release of Underwater Flying Lessons, which was primarily new age piano, with guitar and ambient textures. This was followed up by A Sense of Impending Levitation, which gained popularity with the track “Journey to Farpoint” on college radio stations, especially KSBR in Mission Viejo, California, on the Morning Breeze with host Donna Jo “DJ” Thornton. John was a regular on KSBR’s Morning Breeze Cruise on the Ocean Institute’s Sea Explorer in Dana Point, California, playing his music live on the open sea to dolphins, whales, enthralling the lucky listeners aboard. During this time, he performed at other venues in Southern California, often collaborating with artists such as Dov, Kori Linae Carothers, Jeff Oster and others. In 2005 John collaborated with Russian composer Alex Tiuniaev on the ambient rock project Garden Hose Universe, releasing the EP Falling. In 2007 Luttrell released The Corridors of Time, which originated as the score for the short film The Box, by Steve Deeble, eventually became an official album release. The 2014 release from John is The Dream Exchange, which features John prominently on guitar with acoustic and electric ambient instrumental tracks that follow the theme of the album – the exchange of dreams. The pronunciation of Luttrell is LUTtrell (British) rather than lutTRELL (French). The accent is on LUT, which rhymes with "NUT" and ends the same as "electrical". |

Drawing inspiration from a large variety of styles ranging from raw Desert Rock and old school Hard Rock to more modern and progressive sounding blends of Grunge and Stoner the band doesn‘t necessarily fit into a specific drawer. Always trying to evolve and challenge themselves, the four musicians commute between different genres and subcultures of underground music.

| Search | Add | 9 | Big Dan Starr | Estle Don Linebarger | Lead singer "Big Dan" Starr certainly had a colorful relationship with his own identity... The Dan Starr persona was one of many he used during his lifetime, including several variations of his birth name, Estle Don Linebarger (1937-2004). Mr. Linebarger was born in Missouri and as a teen he performed on local radio and played around in a hillbilly band called the Ozark String Dusters. Linebarger joined the Army in the late 'Fifties and played European gigs in a serviceman's band that included Tommy Cash, Johnny Cash's brother. (Or at least that's what he told the Orlando Sentinel when they profiled him in 1973). He started writing music as a teen, copyrighting at least one song in mid-'Fifties, and released a few singles between 1968-73, including a UFO conspiracy anthem ("Captain Tom Martell") and a patriotic song, "Bugle Boy," which he dedicated to Vietnam War-era POWs. At some point, he may have lived in Nashville, and in the late '60s was playing clubs around Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware. Around 1968, he led a group called the Rustlers, which he later changed to the Hometowners. Going by the name Starr, Mr. Linebarger eventually moved to Florida, establishing himself as a bandleader and television host, fronting a group known as the Hometowners USA. |

| Search | Add | 9 | Sirr D'Kay | Salar Peyhani | Sirr born January 06, 1987 in Tehran, Iran is a Danish record producer, rapper and film photographer. He is the founder and current CEO of [l=Kbh All Stars] and All Star Studio. Sirr started his music career at an early age of 13, writing & producing music in 2000, but wasn't active in the music business until 4 years later. Soon he teamed up with childhood friend [a4725991], and started a musical collaboration together. In 2003 they formed the hip hop group [a=Ripz], with friends from school/neighborhood and began writing and producing new experimental material. The group had 3 rappers and 2 singers, so they named their style/genre "Hip PoP", a mixture of 2 genres that represented their individual styles and roles in the group. In 2004 they released their debut album [r=7750732], recorded in only 2 weeks which included 10 new original songs and 9 remakes, remixes & skits from earlier demos. Performing was a big part of the group, so [a=Ripz] toured for a year, with singing/rapping and performed with multiple show-dancers. After the tour ended it, they decided to break up the group and end the collaboration. Sirr decided to retire as a rapper, and for the following 5 years he was only focused on producing, but in 2008, he started to manage & produce the artist Haider. He and the former [a=Ripz] member [a4725991] started writing again and produced Haider's 2nd debut single [r=6140251] together with [l744217], which had its release that same year. Meanwhile, the hit song [r=7751573] (testicles in Danish) was produced by Sirr and 3 friends from the music business, which formed the comedy-group "8Ball". The 4 members of the group (having 2 balls each), came up with the group name and produced the music video for the single, which had over a million hits on YouTube in just 2 months, without a label or any promotion. This was quite huge, considering that the population of Denmark only being 5 million people and music streaming on YouTube was still new in 2009, was pretty amazing. The group went on a club tour, performed together on stage as Ronnie Lennett the lead, David Bertelsen the rapper and Sirr as the DJ. After 8Ball's second single [r=7751699], Sirr left the group and began producing for multiple artists. Later, in 2011 he discovered the twin brothers "Mark & Tim". They formed the group [a4726108] together and began producing their first EP, which was released the following year, including a music video, that Sirr directed, produced and released through his record label [l=Kbh All Stars]. After the [a4726108] project ended, Sirr got more into the film industry and found his new passion: making music videos, through his new film company Seebra. |
