Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 9 | Jaime "Gringo" Davidson, Sr. | Jaime A. Davidson, Sr. | James "Jaime" Alexander Davidson, Sr. (a/k/a “Gringo ‘The Original'”), according to his new autobiography entitled, "Visionary: Rise and Fall of the Reggaeton Man...Fame Comes at a Steep Price", is the “ORIGINAL FOUNDER OF THE CULTURE OF REGGAETON then known as "Reggae in Spanish", “recorded in Brooklyn, New York with his Dancehall Reggae team called “BABYQUAKE HI-POWER" is a Panamanian artist who preceded El General and Nando Boom, being "the only Panamanian” in the HEART OF THE DANCEHALL REGGAE of the early 80’s, singing for ”EARTHQUAKE HI-POWER “and in 1984 starting his own sound system of music known as “BABYQUAKE HI-POWER” representing all of Latin America with the “great power of the Panamanian culture” against other sounds who were playing their music--countries and cultures such as: Jamaica, Guyana, Trinidad, Grenada, Canada, England and America, etc.., to name some, in a non-competing numbers and / or very intense innovative music. In 1985 with the grace of God, Babyquake's first live clash to promote the culture of Hip-Hop/Reggae called “LADI-DADI-MEETS-SLIM Thing” at the Sunset Club Paradise on Flatbush and Caton Avenue was a win for the sound system. In 1986, their victory was repeated in the Biltmore Ballroom winning the No. 1 place to represent the whole area of Flatbush against the 4 best teams in Dancehall Reggae in that area during that time. The General and Nando Boom followed me to New York to work with Jamaican producers, Carl Miller of VP Records in Jamaica, Queens and Carlton “Rohan” Barrett of SuperPower Records in Brooklyn, New York. The ground was “VERY WELL PAVED” by my “SACRIFICES AND RESPECT IN THE STAGE OF DANCEHALL REGGAE” The Jamaican and American public, etc., “ACCEPTED THE REGGAE IN SPANISH” that evolved like any other music to REGGAETON! where the public was saying, “I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE (GRINGO / JAIME RANKS, in the 80’s), is saying, but it sounds good!” In 1991, Jaime Ranks was successful in a competition with another team called "Nuclear Atomic Hi-Power" with Shaggy (aka Mr. Boombastic) and other BabyQuake artists: Screechie Dan, James Bond, Coolie Ranx; and the late Louie Ranks who was famous from his hit, “TYPEWRITER”. (He was known to many as “OX” on American movie called “Belly”). Hip-Hop's Naz and DMX were there to witness this victory. Back then, the majority of Jaime's songs were written in English and Spanish. Jaime recorded the first songs mixed with Reggae, Hip-Hop, Calypso, Merengue, Salsa, Dancehall Reggae, and Christmas music (with: Henry Hierro, Henry Castro and Ledesma). Producers like Mr. Doo (famous for the success of Coco Tea “Rikers Island”) and Orlando Lee (who traveled from Panama, leaving his business to the World Music Distributor USA to record my production, “DONDE LO CONSEGUISTE”. This song was the inspiration for the culture of Reggaeton. My first CD was completed in Kingston, Jamaica, January 1992, signed with J & N Records (Juan And Nelson) and Sony Discos. Every time someone suggests that Reggaeton was born in Puerto Rico and/or other countries, those suggestions would fall rather quickly once Jaime explains the “Review of the ‘DNA'” of the album's two original tracks. Reggaeton was born in Brooklyn, New York--“GRAN PODER DE LA CULTURE DE PANAMA!" These two tracks are: TRAILER LLENO DE GUIALES (Gringo “The Original”) and "Vengo Caliente". "Vengo Caliente" was by Gringo The Original's artist, Tito “The Town Crier,”. Jaime co-wrote and trained the singer to rap right in the recording studio at the time of recording. "We made an enormous contribution to the music industry with a new genre," Jaime stated. In an exciting turn of events, Jaime "El Gringo Original" Davidson's prison sentence was commuted by President Donald Trump in Trump's last day at the White House. Jaime is currently working very hard on causes which he has championed while he was incarcerated and getting a crash course of how the world has changed in the last 29 years! Jaime thanks his family, friends and fans for their continued support as the #freegringomovement has begun its next phase. |

| Search | Add | 9 | Kim Köster | Kim Köster | Kim Köster was born 1981 and raised in the north German village of Worpswede. Growing up in this artists’ colony, surrounded by the dark woods and moorland, fed into his artistic ambitions and inspired his interest in melancholic, dark or eerie themes. He entered the global urban arts area at a young age, traveling across Europe, Australia, Canada, and South America, gradually making a name for himself through his work in derelict buildings, painting characters that seemingly interact with the dilapidated environment around them, blending art with architectural elements. Since 2020 Kim shifted his work environment from abandoned buildings to the atelier, predominantly working with paint on canvas. The work is developed in series, taking one motif and one medium, and creating a range of individual works within the given parameters. He continues to be interested in a variety of mediums to express his artistic ideas, both abstract and figurative, analogue and digital. He currently spends his time between Berlin and Ein Ding der Möglichkeit (Salderatzen), where he has his own atelier. |

| Search | Add | 9 | Charles A. Glenn Jr. | Charles Alexander Glenn Jr. | At the age of 15, Charles Alexander Glenn, Jr. began carving out his part of Nashville music folklore. While still in high school, he played music at every opportunity as the bassist for a cover band called [a=The Endeavors]. When school was finished, the band decided to challenge the music scene in Los Angeles and try to get signed by a major recording company. Discouraged after two years with no recording deal, the members of the Endeavors went back to their roots in Nashville. Now that Charles had experienced the Los Angeles music scene, he felt sure that he had discovered the "recipe" that would work to land a recording contract. He wasted no time in bringing together all of his Nashville music friends. When the instrumental and vocal blend was absolutely perfect, they all 'knew'. This band could climb the mountain to stardom in LA. They would be called [a=Ozone (5)]. The new band was recognized by music icon [a=Billy Preston] who snatched them up to be his personal band. After touring over two years with Preston, they were signed to a recording contract by [l=Motown] Records where they created and released five Ozone albums and became the "house band" for several acts on the Motown roster. Ozone recorded and toured with [a=Teena Marie], [a=Debarge], [a=Sammy Davis, Jr.] and [a=Luther Vandross] among others. Being everybody's "house band" at Motown had its advantages, but it didn't focus on advancing Ozone's public recognition and definitely hindered the group from becoming a household name. Ozone had created the sound and magic for everybody else, while their careers were put on "back burner" status by the marketing machine at Motown. Without the company giving them radio and tour support, Ozone disbanded. Charles moved to Europe and immediately went to work touring and recording exclusively as the bassist for Billy Preston. Charles was also offered a position in [a=Little Richard]'s band and over two decades later, plays every show, recording date and television appearance with Little Richard. In between tours, Charles worked in his LA area studio, arranging and producing music for clients like Disney Records, for which he worked on "For Our Children", including artists [a=Paul McCartney], [a=Elton John] and [a=Paula Abdul]. Charles arranged, played the instruments and produced the hit single "Itsy Bitsy Spider" on that album for his long-time mentor, Little Richard. These days, Charles is up to another project altogether: The first in a series of Charles Glenn albums was released in late August 2007 (The Bass King). This music is a "compilation of a lifetime of experiences and styles". A second album has been scheduled to be released early in 2008 to coincide with tours with an all-star band. Charles has never lost his passion for live performance. |

| Search | Add | 9 | John Aidan | The Belgian Producer is known for his unique progressive trance sound. His slow type of trance is a laid-back atmosphere type, which can be relaxed to the listener. Still further, one can say that his music is a journey through the spheres and atmospheres of the melodies and sounds. But always with a penchant for melodic trance John creates it skillfully to connect the individual styles together. John Aidan was born in Seoul, South Korea on the 10th of September 1982. Coming from a family of singers and musicians his passion for music started at young age. In his youth lots of his pocket money was spent on records, from then on he was excited to know how tracks were made. Johns main interest was producing trance tracks on the first place, not mixing them. At the age of 16 he made his first studio debut with his cousin Owen Replay in Brussels(Ohm Studio). After a while John started to experiment with other music styles and came to the idea of merging them together. His great influences first came from local Belgian producers and later then from the greater world star producers. John made his own way to producing tracks, did a lot of research and once and while a good friend/producer gave him some useful tips to improve the quality of his tracks. | |

Giving in to every whim... every hunger and every desire fulfilled. Will you join the choir of the hedonistic dead? Will you add your final death rattle to his eternal choir? One can never know for certain when his time will end. At least your demise may be in the presence of one who knows death so intimately as to make the introduction shared between old friends." | |

| Search | Add | 9 | Distro Kuomboka | Distro Kuomboka is a Zambian kalindula band active in the 1980 through early 2000s. They were considered Zambia's longest running Kalindula band as of the late 2010's. According to Music Historian Leonard Koloko, the band was founded in the late 1970's in the Zambian City of Kabwe as a Zamrock Band known as [a5550199]. Among the founding members were Obby Mumba and Chali Musengi. The Destroyers produced several funk records as late as 1981, though by that point, they'd started to move to Kalindula. In the early 80's, they moved fully to Kalindula music and changed their name to Distro Kuomboka, The word Distro was a localization of the word "destroy" while Kuomboka referred to a Lozi ceremony celebrating the end of the rainy season. Distro Kuomboka released numerous singles through the 80's. They released their first album, [r5851811], in Zambia in 1990. By the release of their first album, the band featured Chali Musenge on vocals and percussion, Andy Mutafu on guitar, Eziam Kombe on bass, Al Darlington Chisenge on drums, Fred Banda on keyboards, with Frida Mwila and Fanny Ndala doing backing vocals. Following their first album, their production moved to Netherlands where they released several other albums in Europe through the 90's and into the 2000's. Distro Kuomboko were among the few Zambian kalindula bands who gained some traction with their music in Europe. In the early 2000's the band became the house band for the Mukuba Hotel in Ndola, Zambia with many of the members of their 1990 lineup still involved in the band. | |

| Search | Add | 9 | Eugene "Luigi" Louis | Eugene Louis Faccuito | American jazz dancer, choreographer, teacher, and innovator who created the jazz exercise technique (March 20, 1925 – April 7, 2015). The Luigi Warm Up Technique is a training program that promotes body alignment, balance, core strength, and "feeling from the inside". It is also used for rehabilitation. This method became the world's first standard technique for teaching jazz and musical theater dance. Faccuito developed the technique, which consists of a series of ballet-based exercises, for his rehabilitation after suffering paralyzing injuries in a car accident at the age of 21. He couldn't stop dancing, so he first learned to regain control of his body by what he uses as a cornerstone of his technique – namely, to "lengthen and stretch the body without strain" and "put the good side into the bad side". He then focused on a way "to stabilize himself – as if he were pressing down on an invisible (dance) barre". He went on to have a successful dance career and became a world-renowned jazz teacher. |

| Search | Add | 9 | Ferrara Brain Pan | Ferrara Brain Pan | An acoustic/electronic musical project dedicated to pan-idiomatic explorations beyond the pale of sectarian orthodoxies, being the work of San Francisco composer/multi-instrumentalist Ferrara Brain Pan. Instrumentation runs a spectrum from flutes, saxophones, bass clarinet and recorders to the yidaki (Australian aboriginal didjeridu), shakuhachi (Japanese bamboo flute), and kangling or Tibetan thighbone trumpet. Harmonium, bowed psaltery, percussion, and digital/analog electronic elements further enrich the palette.\\ \\ Ferrara Brain Pan's checkered musical career includes early collaborations with noise music pioneer Boyd Rice aka NON (1970s), the mercifully short-lived goth-damage fiasco Bad Alchemy (80s), ambient dub project 23 Degrees (early 90s), and a fortuitous uncredited appearance on 1994's Rien by Krautrock legends Faust (produced by Jim O'Rourke). In 1998, Ferrara Brain Pan was co-founder of dark ambient duo Darmstadt Pharmacy, and more recently has again joined forces with Ure Thrall (and local SF Bay Area DJ/musician Mr Hate) in a new project called Death Of The West.\\ \\ https://web.archive.org/web/20080703213412/http://formsofthingsunknown.com/index2.html |
