Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Flyaway Minion | Flyaway Minion is a force to be reckoned with! Hailing from Dayton, OH, these gentlemen live, sleep, eat, and dream in avid rock and roll reverence. With a classic rock meets indie rock ethos, Tim Pritchard, Patrick Himes, Adam Edwards, Brian Hoeflich, and Brian Greaney are five seasoned musicians who are not afraid to explore the space. Their recently released debut album Fair Travels showcases everything from powerpop, americana, soul, and indie, yet never leaves you wondering what happened to good old rock and roll. Recorded entirely at Team Evil Studios in Dayton, and mastered by Jim Demaine at Yes Master studios in Nashville, TN, this twelve song LP is nothing short of a professional release. Live, these songs suffer no hacksaw or cleaver. Flyaway Minion's five member lineup and arsenal of both new and vintage equipment create the only kind of sound scape appropriate for their energetic stage performance. Playing along side such notable national acts such as The Bloodthirsty Lovers, Flesh Vehicle, The Only Children, The Slackers,Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Bishop Allen, and Maritime, Flyaway Minion has established a sturdy fanbase that continues to multiply at an impressive rate. Fans return expecting big guitar rock enhanced by leslie driven organ, synths, piano, theramin, various percussive tools, and fully developed vocal harmonies. No pretensions, no shame, no excuses. This is rock and roll! credits

Search | Add | 2 | Waes One | A veteran of the California hip hop scene, Oakland based-and-bred producer Waes One has been putting out a steady stream of acclaimed material since his 1997 debut release Instrumentalz. Known for his rich, atmospheric arrangements and classic hip hop production sensibilities, Waes has anchored a multitude of releases over the last two decades. As half of the duo Compound Elements in the late 90's and early 2000's, Waes brought his signature dark, sample heavy sound to prominence with EP releases in 1999 and 2001, followed by the 2003 full length album, The Struggle. Subsequent work with LA-based duo Substance Abuse, featured on the albums Overproof (2006) and Background Music (2013), saw the two MCs ripping Waes One instrumentals alongside legendary MCs such as KRS-ONE ("Rear View"), MC Eiht ("Flossin'"), Tash ("Don't Get Us Wrong") and Saafir ("Sickness"). 2011 saw Waes landing production features on the irreverent Not the 1's EP Why You Cryin'?, and the follow-up, 2016's Everybody's Rappin'. Waes's productions on the latter release included "You Wack" featuring legendary New York MC Kool Keith. Hard Listening (2012), the solo debut from LA born and bred, Oakland based wordsmith Mawnstr (Connoisseurs, Gooch Gang), further cemented Waes One's legacy as a production guru, with the single "The Next Edition (3 Hippos)" featuring Prince Po of Organized Konfusion leading the charge. In 2015, The Gooch Gang's The Gooch EP brought even more accolades, with Waes' high-powered instrumentation driving the 1-2 lyrical punch of MCs Mawnstr and Kaliban. The release featured the standout single "Go Get It" featuring Gunplay. Waes continues his streak of hard-hitting full album productions in 2018 with Dub Esquire's full-length release The Return, featuring Del the Funky Homosapien, P.E.A.C.E. of Freestyle Fellowship, Mawnstr, Deuce Eclipse and more. Carefully crafting his own unmistakable sound over the years, Waes One has kept the rap game grounded in the midst of an era of unprecendented change, remaining innovative and fresh while maintaining respect for the fundamentals of the artform.

Fiona’s voice may sound familiar - she was the voice of the Bulmers/Magners Christmas TV ad campaign 2007/8 singing a cover of “Apple Tree”. Fiona has worked with many highly acclaimed artists and over the last couple of years she has also been writing, arranging and recording her debut album “THE FEAR I FEAR”. The album is largely piano / keyboard driven and slides between brooding, soulful tracks to pure pop! “…………a mix of smokey 80’s synth-chic and edgy jazz lounge wrap a voice that’s true with cool assurance” (Eamon Carr) “………songs that could easily make Melady Ireland’s next big daytime radio star……these are chart hits in the making.” (Hot Press) "Melady may have come first to our attention playing keyboards with Turn, but her solo guise is a much more intriguing proposition... her debut album is a collection of impressive songs, based around her piano and soulful voice, but with a few left turns thrown in for good measure" - STATE MAGAZINE

Search | Add | 2 | Pallett | Pallett | Pallett Band was established in 2009. Until that time, the founding members accompanied each other in various projects separately. First, [a=Omid Nemati] (vocal) joined [a=Dâriush Âzar] (double bass) and Hessam Mohammadianpour (percussion), and then, [a=Rouzbeh Esfandârmaz] (clarinet) and [a=Mahyar Tahmasebi] (cello), who had accompaniment experience for years, joined them to form a band called [a=Pallett]. This long friendship and various accompaniments led to a charity project in 2009 in Mahak Charity Institution along with [a=Kaveh Sâlehi] (guitar). The band performed exclusively in favor of the cancerous patients. Because of Mahak concert, [a=Pallett] composed and performed several pieces in such a short time. Following that project, [a=Pallett] decided to seriously compose pieces and publish an album. In July 2012, [a=Pallett] held its first concert in a small hall at Mohsen Gallery and it received great attention. This helped the band perform two weeks later in cooperation with Dutch drummer and composer Robbert van Holzen. The band performed pieces from the previous performances along with the new ones composed by Robbert himself. In September 2012, concurrent with composing and recording the first album, [a=Pallett] undertook composing music for the theater “The Unfinished Story of a Suspended Season” by Hooman Seyedi. The piece they wrote brought about more acquaintance of the Band in the Iranian art community. Then in November 2012, the band performed its first official concert in Azadi Tower. They rose to fame as avant‐garde and innovative music band even before release of the first album. This brought them a project for the soundtrack of director Shahram Makri’s “Fish and Cat” that won many national and international awards. It was on January 30th, 2013 when [a=Pallett] released its first album entitled “Mr. Violet”. This album broke CD sales records in Iran. The success of this album was so huge that in August 2013 [a=Pallett] had 12 performances at Azadi Tower, the tickets were sold out within hours. A few weeks later, the group began its tour throughout Iran. Following successful performances in the cities of Zanjan, Gorgan, Shiraz and Sanandaj, the group headed for Europe for live performances and concerts in Cologne, Milan, Paris, Amsterdam, Gutenberg, and Stockholm, where they played pieces from Mr. Violet album. [a=Pallett] also took part in a music festival in Cologne entitled “New Sounds from Iran”. Returning home from its European tour, [a=Pallett] appeared in the advertising teaser of School of Mice directed by Marziyeh Boroumand, and shared the unprecedented success of this film. In another success, the band appeared in IRIB Channel 7 and in an open objection to censorship of musical instruments in their previous TV performance, they offered pantomime presentation of one of their pieces. This had extensive reflections inside and outside the country. [a=Pallett] headed for 2014 Brazil World Cup in July of the same year to make a documentary and perform live concerts. During this long trip and in addition to making the documentary, [a=Pallett] had live concerts in the cities of Sao Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, and Salvador. After their return from Brazil, the group traveled to Germany once again for a concert in Heimspiel Knyphauson Festival in Mainz, in the vicinity of Frankfurt. The band cooperated with German singer and composer [a=Gisbert Zu Knyphausen]. The group returned home in August 2014 and performed Mr. Violet pieces in Masoudiyeh Mansion for 1700 music lovers attending House of Music Festival. The festival also hosted many other renowned music idols. [a=Pallett] then headed for Bandar Abbas and Rasht for live concerts, where they received warm welcome. In October 2014, [a=Pallett] was introduced as the permanent ambassador for UN World Food Program (WFP) in Iran. The latest news on [a=Pallett] was participation in “Good News From Iran” festival in Munich, Germany, where they cooperated with TARAB Band. |
