Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Walter De Maria Walter Joseph De Maria Born October 1, 1935, in Albany, California. He died on July 25, 2013 in Los Angeles of a stroke. Walter De Maria was an American artist, sculptor, drummer and composer. In 1957, he graduated from the University of California at Berkeley, where he earned his M.F.A. in painting two years later. De Maria and his friend, the avant-garde composer [a=La Monte Young], participated various in Happenings and theatrical productions in the San Francisco area. In 1961, he made his first wooden box sculptures. In 1963 he worked as a drummer for [a1139084] the first incarnation of Reed-Cale future group [a=The Velvet Underground]. He continued to work in wood, began his "invisible drawings", and composed music. With the support of collector Robert C. Scull, De Maria started making pieces in metal in 1965. Born October 1, 1935, in Albany, California, De Maria emerged as a leader of the Earthworks movement in 1968 when he filled the Galerie Heiner Friedrich in Munich with dirt. Earthworks and serial geometric sculpture continue to occupy De Maria in the 1970s: his Three Continent Project was completed in 1972 and the Lightning Field, one of his most accomplished work of land-art, in New Mexico was finished in 1977. He lived and worked in New York. In 2000 two of his conceptual recordings from 1964 and 1968 finally came out on a self-released CD.

Search Add 2 Ella Dot Motions Calvian "Vian" Pangerti In 2012, Vian had known as a member in one of Malang’s dance crew. Furthermore, he also was known as music editor and mixer in some of the dance competitions. When he and his family had moved into Banyuwangi, he decided to act in EDM music as a DJ. In the middle of 2013, he began to learn anything about EDM was he got an influence from his first’s favorite EDM track “Water of Nazareth” by Justice. Tried to make a simple track, but he felt that genre hadn’t his passion. Since in the end of 2013 were Djakarta Warehouse Project 2013 had to attend, he got many pieces of knowledge when he tried to find much information about that festival’s lineup, such as Breakbot, Alesso, David Guetta, until Zedd. He felt so interesting progressive house, and he tried to learn how to produce it with his first’s project name “E.L.L.A”. He always tried to find something new about EDM, and learn all about it. Many genres he had learned, and he realized if Dubstep is so hard for him to produce. When he was 17, he has his own passion in EDM were always give a mellow and sad story like ambient. He tried to combine among ambient with progressive house, and that was an origin of Ella Dot Motions were dot means the end of the sentence or anything, while motions mean mood or feels were always contained in his track or in his lyrics. In a fact, he always put Ella’s name in his project name because that’s his first-love girl name was met him for a moment and gone. In other hands, she was his first inspiration to decided his EDM world’s journey. 2015 is the year of electronic dance music were have many new styles had appeared, and Vian also had become as a student in English Department in Jember University. He always writes any song’s lyrics and tried to produce it in his own EDM style. In the middle of 2015, he accidentally found an EDM style was so comfortable with him, and that had no differences with his style. When he tried all about that style, he realized if he adopted a Chillout-ambient style, and he decided to still adopt that EDM style and mixed with that chillout-Ambient until now. In 2017 early, he decided to cover his identity and his appearance when performed. Sometimes, he becomes a ghost producer or produces songs for another artist without writing his name on that song’s credit. Just his family and his friends know about him and his personality while all of his info on his social network’s account had deleted by himself.

Search Add 2 HYPNOTOAD 3000 Emerging from the damp underbelly of the breakbeat biosphere, HYPNOTOAD 3000 presents Swamp Tapes '23–'25: an unbroken 40-minute sonic crawl through the murky wetlands of jungle, breakbeat, and ambient dub. Released on underground imprint Frogs in the Function, this full-length journey blurs the line between mixtape, concept album and rave artefact. Somewhere between a bootleg Bukem tape from '94 and the startup sound of a forgotten alien drum machine, Swamp Tapes '23–'25 features 18 original productions, recorded straight to cassette in a single take. You might hear echoes of lounge-core trip-hop twisted into hardcore shellshock. Or maybe you're just hallucinating in the swamp again.

One of his first tracks has been registered in 2017 on his mobile – this can be considered as start of the music project. Active creation began after that and was based mainly on field recordings, experiments with musique concrete, noise and sampling. Over time, after accumulating huge amounts of materials he started to work on his laptop and edit sounds in DAW programs. Right after starting to work with music he came up with many ideas and along with the acquired experience a fruit of his work appeared – his first album named Prisoners of their own bodies. Search Add 2 Leslie Overdrive The book of Leslie In the beginning God created the four men. Now these four men were square and empty, darkness was over the surface of their souls, and the Spirit of God was hovering over them. And God said, "Let there be Hammond," and there was Hammond. God saw that the Hammond was good, and He separated the Hammond from the Leslie. God called the Hammond "funk," and the Leslie he called "soul." And there was funk, and there was soul—Leslie Overdrive. It was in 2003 that Craig and Kapper first met. They quickly discovered their mutual love of swirling Hammond and thus, there was only one way forward. In early ’05 they came into contact with Kristian who joined their former cabaret-project “Funksovs” (Funkgravy). But only a few months after the arrival of “The Reverend” they decided to turn the boat in a whole new direction. Teaming up with Craig’s childhood schoolmate Mads, all four now looked onwards and upwards towards a future filled with fun, love and buckets full of Hammond. Search Add 2 Takun The story behind Takun begun in Madrid, in the year 2010, under the name Takun sin Takun, as a tribute quartet conformed by Nando, Davizio, Rubén Rivas and Rafael Mañanas, covering and updating old stuff from the band Takun Q Takun, a project started back in the 80´s by Nando´s brother, Guti. This was the startup to get a general idea of the spirit of Takun Q Takun, and mixing this concept with all the members´s influences, the Takun sin Takun personality started to ginge up. Deeply influenced as musicians by international bands as The Police, Metallica, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Yes or Van Halen, and national ones as Héroes del Silencio, Barón Rojo, O´Funk´illo, Nacha Pop or Radio Futura, Takun sin Takun starts to plan composing new original material in 2011, meanwhile the band itself suffers some lineup changes until it´s settled as a power trio (with Dennis Channels as the current bass player, since 2013). These decisions and changes establish the definitive studio and live identity-personality of the group, and finally led the band to change its name to Takun. Takun proposes overwhelming and interactive live shows, dynamism and energy full. The band members have previous album and live experiences with two other important local bands, Presidio (Davizio) and Andén 54 (Nando), and there are countless mythical places Takun has taken part of live shows, with some special highlights in Trujillo´s Castle, Marco Aldany Hall, Fiestas de Aluche 2015 or Live! Hall, for example. Their debut album, Limbo, is the culmination of endless exciting and full of joy working sessions, and it´s the main reason for Takun to reach a bigger and more diverse audience so the project gets higher. Limbo has been auto-produced in 2016, with Ángel Muñoz helping the band with drums recording, and Jorge Escudero being the main sound engineer guide guy (a key man so the studio sound of the band took a definitive and solid identity). The artwork of Limbo is born from an own idea of the band, and the shape and details so the concept is adapted to digipack format are built and polished by Álvaro Avis and Alejandro Martínez. In addition, Takun had the special support of Pablo Sancha (Delyrïum) for the Desde Cero piano arrangements. For more info, visit us on:

Search Add 2 Postmusik Graz Thanks to a few music-loving idealists, the founding of a postal band in Graz was realized in 1904. The musical directors for the early years were Kapellmeister Stepanek (founding bandmaster), Weiss, Smetan, Morawetz and Kerschischnik. Although World War I left large gaps in the ranks of musicians, the association was nevertheless able to continue. Kapellmeister Morawetz once again took over the musical direction. The chairman during this war-dominated period was Mr. Eichhorn. In 1928, the versatile military musician Hans Knopper was appointed Kapellmeister. Unfortunately, during the German Reich era, the association had to be dissolved, but de facto continued as the "Postschutz-Kapelle" (Post Protection Band). After the turmoil of World War II, Florian Fladerer became chairman in 1949. The association was then renamed "Graz Postal Band Music Association." In 1954 Mr. Laurenz Glock succeeded Kapellmeister Knopper as musical director. He was followed by principal flugelhorn player Friedrich Uhl. 23 years were marked by the work of this great musician and composer. Fladerer led the association for 28 years. In 1977 he was succeeded as chairman by Franz Schleich. In 1982, Hofrat Dr. [a16251502] took over as chairman of Graz Postal Band Music. Upon his retirement, Friedrich Uhl handed over the baton to his brother [a16193089] in 1984. After 11 years of wonderful and successful work, Karl Rappold succeeded him as conductor in 1995. In 2001, [a16251496] joined the association as executive chairman, which has since been called the "Postmusik Graz" music association. After 22 years of service, Dr. Deu handed over the chairmanship to Karl Haider in 2004. In 2010, Karl Neubauer followed in Haider's footsteps and has led Postmusik Graz ever since. Conductor [a16251511] celebrated his 15th anniversary as conductor with a CD featuring highlights from the past years. Now over 100 years old, Postmusik Graz can proudly look back on numerous concert tours abroad (Germany, Greece, Holland, Slovenia, Spain, the Czech Republic, Turkey, etc.), major concerts in all Austrian states, participation in the Musikantenstadl (music festival) and the Musikschau der Nationen (music show of the nations), as well as a few radio and recordings.
