Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Musica Sequenza | Berlin Baroque Ensemble Musica Sequenza was founded by Burak Özdemir at The Juilliard School in New York in 2008. The ensemble is dedicated to innovation in baroque music and developing an intercultural artistic movement with musicians, singers, dancers, choreographers, visual artists, architects, designers and filmmakers from all around the globe. To date they have created over 30 productions worldwide. The ensemble performs on 18th century period instruments and works in an international network with global partners such as opera houses, festivals, concert halls, municipal theaters, art foundations and museums. The company presents performances with a repertoire from Renaissance to the contemporary composers. They participate in today’s global art scene with inter-disciplinary productions of baroque, new music, electro-acoustic, modern dance, conceptual performance and experimental music theater. In 2018 Musica Sequenza celebrated its 10th anniversary by performing milestones of their repertoire such as “Silent Cantata” (2012) and “Sampling Baroque” (2015). For the anniversary they premiered a new Bach production “Atlas Passion” in co-production with Stadttheater Schaffhausen Switzerland. They also performed their signature programs at venues, such as Radialsystem V, International Bach Festival Schaffhausen, Borusan Culture & Art Foundation and Berghain. Musica Sequenza collaborates with Sasha Waltz, Rolando Villazon, Larisa Navojec and Van Rivers. Since it’s founding the ensemble has performed at Konzerthaus Berlin, Istanbul Music Festival, Händel Festspiele Halle, Oranjewoud Festival Netherlands, Thüringer Bach Wochen, Bach Akademie Stuttgart, Alice Tully Hall, Club Sisyphos, Wagenhallen, Kammgarn, Umspannwerk and the Berlin Biennale. Commissioned by the Grand Palais Museum Paris in 2014, Musica Sequenza recorded music by Burak Özdemir and Spanish baroque composers for the “Diego Velazquez” world tour exhibition. The work was curated and filmed by Karim Ainouz, which later became an international DVD release on Arte Edition. Burak Özdemir & Musica Sequenza collaborated with Sasha Waltz & Guests on diverse projects including “Dialoge” at Festival d’Avignon and the open exchange platform “Zuhören” at Radial System V in Berlin. Since 2012 the recordings of Musica Sequenza have been released by Deutsche Harmonia Mundi / Sony labels. The works include Burak Özdemir’s recompositions and original scores, developed together with Grammy awarded producer Da-Hong Seetoo, German recording engineer Christian Jaeger and Swedish DJ & Producer Van Rivers. The ensemble releases „Vivaldi : The New Four Seasons“ (2012), „Bach : The Silent Cantata“ (2013), „Rameau a la Turque“ (2014) and „Sampling Baroque/Handel“ (2016), have earned praise by the world press.

Search | Add | 5 | Comer Mullins | Traditional-style guitar-banjo player based in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Comer "Moon" Mullins (he was given that nickname while serving in the Air Force) was born on May 11, 1916 in Sassafrass, Kentucky. His father worked in the coal mines, and the family was large (12 children). Mullins bought his first guitar around the of 12, after being inspired by a movie featuring "The Singing Cowboy," Gene Autry. He developed a unique thumbpicking stye where the thumb played the bass line, the index finger picked the lead line, the middle finger added a tenor line, and the ring finger added alto. This technique allowed for fuller "ragtime"-type harmonies, and he made an instructional tape that was available through Mel Bay Publications. He was a member of the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame, and performed frequently at the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View, Arkansas. Mr. Mullins died from leukemia on March 16, 2016.

Search | Add | 5 | Iain Flitcroft | Iain was born in Preston, Lancashire. The family loved music and Iain quickly expressed a desire to play the piano. Lessons began at the age of 6 and by the age of 15, Iain had passed all 8 Grades with the Royal School of Music. At the age of 10, Iain joined the church choir and was enthralled by the sound of the pipe organ. So at the age of 12, having reached Grade 6 on the Piano, Iain was regularly deputising for church services and by 16 was organist and choirmaster of his own church, St Paul’s Faringdon, Preston. As a Christmas present Iain was given an LP of William Davies playing the Granada Kingston Wurlitzer. This was followed by a trip with his parents to Blackpool Tower and an Organist Association visit to the Paramount Organ Studios in Bolton. By the end of this, Iain was hooked on the sound of the Theatre Organ. Iain’s Father was determined to find the best possible teacher and contacted Ernest Broadbent in Blackpool. Ernest had retired a couple of years earlier as Resident Organist at the Tower Ballroom where he had taken over from Reginald Dixon. Ernest agreed to take Iain on as a pupil. Iain eventually spent three years playing for First Leisure in Blackpool on the piers, In the Winter Gardens and, of course, in the world famous Tower Ballroom. Since then, Iain has played virtually all of the theatre organ venues in the UK as well as regular concert trips to Holland

Search | Add | 5 | Viscous Liquid | Reading, UK-based solo artist Rhys Williams started Viscous Liquid as a home recording project in 2012, the music leaning heavily on psychedelic, shoegaze, lo-fi and surf pop influences. Williams began making his music available in digital format online soon afterwards, with a self-described aim to “sound like the Beach Boys strung out on barbiturates playing in some sort of wind tunnel.” The singles "Never Fun/Soother", "It’s Sort Of Like Being A Long Way From Home, All The Time" and an eponymous debut EP were released in 2013. Viscous Liquid gained recognition in Reading's local indie music scene, as well as praise from alternative music critics and publications such as Sounds Better With Reverb. A second EP followed, "Songs For Jealous Lovers", featuring added vocal harmonies and a broader, jangle-pop sound. The more expansive, psychedelic "Infinity Pool" EP was released later the same year. In 2014, Williams joined Rhys Edwards (Tripwires) to form Ulrika Spacek, having previously toured with that band as an additional guitarist.

Search | Add | 5 | Vaudville | Vaudville is: Doug Savage - Vocals Dave LaChance - Guitars Blaine Horn - Bass Kelly Ryan - Drums In 1990, former Rated-X guitarist, Dave LaChance, and drummer, Kelly Ryan, set out to form a band that would not only catch the attention of a thriving Hollywood music scene, but the world as well. To complete the rhythm section, they found ex-G.G. Gangster and Juicy Miss Lucy bassist, Blaine Horn and the nucleus of Vaudville was formed. After months of writing and rehearsing new material, it was time for the trio to find the right voice to complete their aggressive, street wise brand of hard rock. A nation wide search led them to Ohio, home of Nasty Action frontman, Doug Savage. A couple weeks later, Savage was on a plane bound for Los Angeles, and the line-up was set. By early 1991, Vaudville exploded onto the L.A. club scene, and made its mark in no time. The band quickly gained a large following and found themselves headlining shows up and down the Sunset Strip. This was followed by the release of their first, five song demo, which propelled them to the top of the scene. By the time they released their second, four song demo, they were solidified as a Hollywood powerhouse. Vaudville disbanded in 1993.

Search | Add | 5 | Valentina Vuksic | Valentina Vuksic is a computer artist and programmer based in Zürich. Her work is a personal exploration of the possibilities afforded by articulated hard- and software mediation. She approaches computer systems via inductive microphones for magnetic fields, so-called “telephone adapters." With choreographies for software and computer elements, she utilizes these as actors in software/noise pieces for, and in, computers. Vuksic considers time and space of computer processor and memory as levels of reality. Software being processed creates own temporal and spatial dimensions, which are staged for a public. She aims for a sensual experience of the analytical sphere becoming concrete, where logic encounters the physical world. The mechanic noises serve as mediators to a public. They reveal in an immediate way the activities taking place between computer processes in the widest sense and the computer electronics they are running on.
