Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 5 | The Verzerrer Schnitzel | THE VERZERRER SCHNITZEL WAS A SCHRAMMEL ROCK QUARTET, FOUNDED IN HILDESHEIM, GERMANY. THE FOUR GUYS RELEASED FOUR ALBUMS BETWEEN 2003-2007. By local accounts these german guys were the second most popular band within the of the big city triangle around Hannover in the early 2000s. Formed in Hildesheim, Niedersachsen, The Verzerrer Schnitzel were a very big deal locally, and not as a teeny bop pretty boys or pop icons, either. The Schnitzels won lots of band battles against rival groups with their Hamburger-School-sound. Eric Lindberg of the Shopmouse remembers the Schnitzels circa 2004. By that time Shopmouse were already the biggest thing going in the nothern states. „The Verzerrer Schnitzel weren't like any of the other club bands in our area at that time“ says Eric. „They weren't funny and they didn't have the steps and routines. But they were really loud and aggressive, and pretty much ahead of their time. Gernot Wöltjen agrees. „A lot of the groups at that time were more into the love songs and pretty notes and we were more into the energy“, says Gernot. Reporters who tried to interview the band often lamented that they „don't care“. Oh - but they did! They cared about their music, they cared about their fans, the people who appreciate their music. But above all, they are honest to the point of insult. When asked to produce a track that they considered „a pretty song“, their answer was simply „No! This is our music, you either like it or you won't“. The Verzerrer Schnitzel split up in 2007 after inking a deal with a major label and you can bet some square producer wound've commanded the guys to tone down their paint-peelin' scorch. -Ron Butterfield- Line-up (2003-2006): Gernot Wötjen - vox, git Simon Schramm - git Tim Raupach aka Al Ozu - vox, bass Simon Begemann - drums Line-up (2007): Gernot Wötjen - vox, git Simon Schramm - git Tim Raupach aka Al Ozu - vox Simon Begemann - drums Sebastian Jüngel - bass | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Ukrainain Chorus "Dumka" of America | The Ukrainian chorus "Dumka" of New York City was originally formed in September of 1949 as an exclusively male chorus. The first concert, featuring Christmas Carols, was held in 1950 and was followed by others in Washington, D.C., Carnegie Holl, Madison Square Garden, many of which were broadcast by radio stations. In 1959 "Dumka" became a mixed chorus, and it is in this form that it performed extensively in Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, Philadelphia, Toronto and Montreal. Former chorus directors were Messrs. A. Bernyk, L. Krushelnycky, (first director), O. Mykytiuk, I. Sonevychy, R. Stepaniak, I. Zadorozny, I. Zukowsky. The chorus takes its name from the Ukrainian word "dumka", which means epic folk song, a form popular in the 16th through 18th centuries. The "Dumka" chorus is presently performing under the direction of Semen Komirsky. Mr. Komirsky studied music in Lviv (Ukraine), and was graduated from Uzhorod Music College (Ukraine) as an instructor in vocal music and choral conducting. | |
| Search | Add | 5 | Rose Bayonet | ROSE BAYONET : Stefan Lavington - Guitar Jerry Pearse-Smith - Drums Geoff Dunn - Vocals Matthew Hudson - Bass Previous members: Jeff Borra - Vocals Peter Appleboom - Bass Warwick Hill - Bass The New Zealand hard rock / heavy metal band, ROSE BAYONET, was very popular in N.Z. throughout the early ‘80s. The Wellington-based quartet would often perform to capacity crowds at venues such as Quinn’s Post in Upper Hutt, The Cabana in Napier, Mainstreet, The Gluepot and Manukau Arms in Auckland. The group proved to be a powerful support act for Cold Chisel in 1982, at Wellington Town Hall. The biggest concert that ROSE BAYONET played was on the main stage at Sweetwaters Festival on January 28th, 1983 -- which was also one of their last gigs. There were reportedly over 35,000 attendees at the Festival. The group’s energetic live sets were comprised of mostly original material, with suitably heavy titles such as “Demon Rider”, “Let It Die”, “Headbanger”, “Tough Road”, “Six Feet Under”, “Hell on Earth”, “Predator” and several more. ROSE BAYONET performances were unforgettable and notoriously loud (the band took their own huge p.a. system on the road) with flash pot explosions, a great light show, obligatory dry ice and special effects, all added for good measure. ROSE BAYONET recorded an exciting selection of self-penned songs at EMI Studios in Wellington in 1982 (the group had no bass player at that point, so Stefan Lavington played all guitar and bass on the studio recordings). Their shot at the international heavy metal market didn’t eventuate though, as EMI NZ chose not to sign the band, despite their live performances being all the rage. After ROSE BAYONET split up, a couple of young RB fans (Shane Joyce & Stephen Britland) managed to get hold of the studio demo master tapes. Shane & Stephen used their own money to fund the release of the ROSE BAYONET LP, entitled ‘Leather and Chains’. (Four additional live tracks were added to the five studio cuts). It was issued onto the NZ market via Jayrem Records, with a sole pressing of only 500 copies. The very basic cover artwork, text errors and songwriting credit guess work left a lot to be desired, but at last ROSE BAYONET were finally documented on vinyl. The record is now highly collectable and sought after by avid metal fans worldwide, wanting to hear what Kiwi heavy rock was all about. A couple of other live ROSE BAYONET tracks also appeared on the similarly rare N.Z. compilation ‘Godzone Metal’ LP in 1983. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Кали Жантлеуов | Қали Жантілеуов | Kali Zhantleuvov (1902-1970) - dombra player from Kazakhstan. |

| Search | Add | 5 | Brainicide | Brainicide was an American thrash metal band from Akron, Ohio. It was the first of many bands Tim "Ripper" Owens (Beyond Fear, Judas Priest, Iced Earth) fronted in his music career. They recorded three demo tapes called "Brainicide", "Brutal Mentality" and "Dammage Daze". They also recorded a song exclusively for the "Heavy Artillery" compilation called "Payment In Blood". "Brainicide" and "Dammage Daze" were actually recorded under the bands original name, Dammage Inc. They formed in 1986 under this name as a cover band, but began writing original songs and playing a few of them per concert. In August 1988 they recorded their debut demo, releasing some copies as "Dammage Inc." with live bonus tracks, before officially changing names in October and releasing it under the new name, without the live tracks. The live tracks, alongside 1 other, would be remastered in 1989 and released as the "Dammage Daze" demo, a nod to the name of era of the band that the songs were recorded in and represent (Dammage Daze, as in "the Days of Dammage Inc.") Also recorded an unreleased demo of original songs in 1987 with the original Dammage Inc. lineup. This includes their first song "Insane", as well as others such as "Kings of Metal" (which received play on college radio at the time) and the instrumental "Flight of the Dammaged Bumblebee". | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Clifford Douglass | Clifford Douglas | Bandleader Clifford (Boots) Douglas was born in Temple, Texas, probably on September 7, 1908. Douglas, known as one of the finest Texas jazz bandleaders of his era, recorded and toured throughout Texas during the big band or Texas swing heyday of the 1930s. He began experimenting on the drums at age fifteen. He played in Central Texas before moving to San Antonio, where he got his start on the emerging jazz scene. Douglas began by accompanying Millard McNeal's Southern Melody Boys; he played his first show at Turner's Park, San Antonio, in 1926. After earning a reputation as a fine drummer and musician, he formed his own outfit, which he named Boots and His Buddies. Although highly eclectic in style, the ensemble was quite successful. The band concentrated most of its energies on playing in Texas, but made forays into surrounding states as well. Although Boots and His Buddies were not famous in New York or other eastern cities, the group garnered a large following in its home region. In 1935 Bluebird signed the band, which cut forty-two sides for the label between 1935 and 1938, including the songs "Ain't Misbehavin'" and "Blues of Avalon." After reaching a pinnacle of success in the 1930s the band steadily declined in popularity. Douglas called it quits, and in 1950 packed his belongings and headed to Los Angeles. He continued to play part-time, but his job for the county government replaced music as his primary source of income. By the 1970s he had dropped out of the public eye, and he has since faded into obscurity. The specific date and place of his death are not known. Social Security Death Records do list a Clifford Douglas who was born on September 7, 1906, in Texas and died on October 27, 2000, in Los Angeles |
