Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 5 | Claudia Kurver | Claudia Kurver was born in 1984 in Halle/Saale (Germany). Her father significantly influenced her music taste with bands like AC/DC and the Scorpions. As a teenager, acts like Marilyn Manson and HIM joined her playlist, along with dark electronic sounds from bands like VNV Nation or Covenant. And thanks to her membership in a dance group, she even grew fond of Eurodance, Pop and German-Pop. In 2005, Claudia moved to Leipzig for studies, where she started exploring music more deeply. She formed the band "Mental Defect" with her husband, Daniel, in the subsequent years. However, personal differences led to the band's dissolution in 2017, which was a tough phase for Claudia. Seeking a new direction, she collaborated with Liss Eulenherz, forming the Dark-Synth-Pop duo "Sonorus7." They achieved initial success with a band contest win and an album release but eventually split due to creative differences. Reconnecting with her rock roots, Claudia attended a concert in 2021, which reignited her passion. With a clear vision, she began working with Jan David, crafting new compositions and joining forces with producers Michael Danielak and Frank Kühnlein. The band's lineup solidified with singles "Unser Moment" and "Ich glaub an Dich" and in summer 2023, her husband Daniel joined as another guitarist. Claudia remains the primary decision-maker, ensuring she maintains her musical independence. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Algy Lord Gray | Alan Gray | In the early seventies Algy and pals decided to musically "get it together in the country" and went to Wales where they stumbled upon the gorgeous abandoned mansion Plas Llecha. They moved in and began recording, living in primitive but beautiful surroundings - and remained in Wales forever. Bertie was hand made each with unique covers, and a copy was sent to a baffled John Peel who wrote back to the band and later gave them a live Peel Session slot. Bertie is a specific form of naturally eccentric brilliance, drawing on an anarchic british tradition that encompasses James Joyce, The Goons, Hawkwind and Monty Python. Undercurrents of genius later transformed into actual genius with their next band The Great Crash. From 1971 - 1974 they developed a beautiful melodic Art Rock and recorded 30 tracks in the mansion, Piano led and sometimes reminiscent of Elton Johns best early compositions, with a dash of 10cc, and a Deja Vu vibe. The insular circumstances of their lifestyle and spacious digs seem to have allowed their musical spirits to flourish. An exec at Parlophone got wind of their music and signed them up, but, as with their Peel session, they just couldnt work in the sterile studio conditions, and the sessions ended in disaster as the band fled back to their beloved Welsh Idyll. Unbeknownst to themselves and the world at large, the Great Crash sessions from Plas Llecha, are pure gold dust, and represent rhe great Lost Classic of British Rock. A missing piece in the tapestry of British music. Their 1972-1973 unissued double LP ' Deadfire Echoes' is scheduled for a Jan 2022 release on Seelie Court. Plas Llecha became an internationally famous Recording Studio where Oasis and The Verve recorded their major albums, |

| Search | Add | 5 | Brett James Phillips | Phoenix guitarist and luthier Brett James Phillips submitted a CD-R containing 12 instrumental songs which cover a range of music styles, including acoustic, rock, trippy acid, and more. A serious player, Phillips uses both electric and acoustic guitars and a number of effects devices and/or recording techniques to create unique and diverse textures of musical expression. He has hand built his own instruments and recorded his music in his own studio. As evidenced by the songs on his CD-R, Phillips values highly the improvisational aspect of music, taking a number of chops-happy, jammy excursions over the sequenced backing tracks. "Painted Desert", for example, has a soaring theme, followed by a long, rock'n'classical harmonized improvisation. On Phillips' timeless acoustic tracks, you'll find some beautiful pieces of music. alb Brett started playing the piano at age seven and picked up the trumpet and tuba while in high school. He first picked up the guitar at the age of nineteen, and also learned how to build and design acoustic and electric guitars at the Roberto Venn School of Luthiery. Brett started his own business in 1991, teaching private guitar and bass lessons as well as customizing and repairing stringed instruments. He also co-founded and helped operate the Cellar coffee house, largely as a music venue specializing in the development of new talent. Phillips has plans to continue to play as a solo guitarist in the Phoenix area, building a fan base as well as helping other artists record their original music. He intends to keep writing, recording and performing his original compositions while remaining independent to maintain artistic control. Phillips has a 21-song acoustic CD planned for an April 1 release in the Phoenix area. Contact Information Brett Phillips 1426 E. Utopia Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85024 United States | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Wouda | Wouter Brandenburg | While Wouda’s debut release might be tucked away at the back of the label’s catalogue, the sunny bounce of Bum On The Carpet’s ‘Mood Swing’ 12” is what kick-started the whole Dopeness Galore adventure. Already studying audio engineering and mastering, Wouda knew he wanted to work with sounds at an early age. But it was the urge to craft a simple combination of live-sounding MPC and Rhodes that formed the idea behind the single. In true DIY-style, Wouda pressed it up onto vinyl and dealt it out by hand until they were all gone. While running the label has meant that Wouda’s time on the MPC has taken a back seat, his production vision has only gotten wider. Taking inspiration from visionary greats like Prince, Quincy Jones, Fela Kuti, Theo Parrish, King Tubby, and Larry Levan, he’s dead set on a mission to seek out the heavy blissful vibes, whoever makes them. |

| Search | Add | 5 | Московское Трио | Ансамбль солистов «Московское трио» | Moscow Trio is a Soviet Russian classical trio (piano, cello, violin). Formed in 1968 by students of the chamber ensemble class of the Moscow Conservatory [a4509800] [a1684492] (piano), [a2963810] (violin) and [a7086504] = Miron Yampolsky (cello). In the mid-1970s, the line-up changed to Bonduryansky, Ivanov and Utkin and remains so to this day: [a1684492] = Александр Бондурянский - piano [a1684495] = Владимир Иванов - violin [a1684485] = Михаил Уткин - cello The ensemble of soloists "Moscow Trio" is rightfully considered one of the leading chamber ensembles of the world class. The ensemble of soloists "Moscow Trio" is a laureate of international competitions in Munich (1969, 2nd prize), Belgrade (1972, 1st prize), Budapest (1975, 1st prize), Bordeaux (1976, gold medal of M. Ravel). All three musicians received an excellent school of ensemble mastery in the class of Professor T. A. Gaidamovich = [a4509800]. In addition, the artists have a large solo repertoire, often performing in Russia and abroad with solo concerts and accompanied by orchestras. The repertoire of the Moscow Trio soloists ensemble includes over 200 works, numerous concert programs, of which the following should be noted: “Piano Trios of Russian Composers”, “History of the Genre”, “Piano Trios of the Romantic Era”, “All Works of Beethoven”, monograph programs dedicated to the works of W. A. Mozart, F. Schubert, F. Mendelssohn, J. Brahms, S. Rachmaninoff, D. D. Shostakovich. In concerts of the Moscow Trio, triple concertos by L. van Beethoven, A. Casella, B. Martinů, N. N. Cherepnin, S. S. Berinsky, A. V. Tchaikovsky and A. A. Nikolaev are performed, accompanied by symphony orchestras. The last three works were inspired by the ensemble, dedicated to it and first performed by it in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. One of the most important tasks of the Moscow Trio soloists' ensemble is to return forgotten masterpieces of the past to the listener. This is evidenced by the Moscow premieres of the trios of M. Clementi, I. Brahms, F. Schubert, K. Schumann, E. T. A. Hoffmann, E. Grieg, G. Donizetti, K. Debussy. The musicians performed the previously unknown youth Trio No. 1 by D. D. Shostakovich for the first time. The ensemble's active propaganda activities attract the attention of modern composers writing in this genre. A. V. Tchaikovsky, M. I. Chulaki, E. L. Lazarev, I. I. Golubev, Yu. M. Butsko, V. A. Grokhovsky, the Finnish composer P.-H. Nordgren, A. Friedman from France and others dedicated their works to the Moscow Trio soloists' ensemble. Many foreign and domestic composers consider it an honor to trust the Moscow Trio with the premieres of their works. Not only works for the trio are performed in the musicians' concerts. More than once they have invited famous artists of other specialties for joint performances: vocalists E. Nesterenko and G. Pisarenko, American singer Yu. Kaufman, violists Yu. Bashmet, A. Bobrovsky and M. Tolpygo, clarinetists V. Sokolov and R. Bagdasaryan, double bass player R. Gabdullin. The geography of the trio's tours is diverse, having performed in more than 300 cities of the former USSR and in 45 countries of the world - from Argentina to Japan and from Norway to Egypt. His art was applauded by audiences in such concert halls as the Wigmore Hall in London, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, the Old Opera in Frankfurt, the Municipal Theatre in Rio de Janeiro, the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires and the Merkin Hall in New York, the best halls in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The ensemble participated in prestigious festivals in Helsinki, Belgrade, Florence, Prague, Berlin, Dubrovnik, Ludwigsburg, Sofia, St. Petersburg and Moscow. The ensemble's concert at the Ohrid Festival (Macedonia) was recognized as the best in 1994. The ensemble's artists conduct master classes and seminars in Russia and abroad. The German newspaper wrote: "...Three artists, teachers of the Moscow Conservatory, made these days of the Courses unforgettable for all participants, thanks to their artistic charm and the power of pedagogical persuasion." The Moscow Trio soloists' ensemble recorded most of its repertoire on radio and gramophone records by the Melodiya company, and then on compact discs by companies in Germany, France and the USA. The ensemble's work received high praise in their homeland - the musicians were awarded the honorary titles of People's Artists of Russia, the Moscow Prize in Literature and Art, and the newspaper Muzykalnoye Obozreniye called them "the ensemble of 1997." |

| Search | Add | 5 | Karraskilla | Juan Karraskilla | Karraskilla's sound is thick with shadows of his past adventures in rock, funk, and Latin jazz - enough to be dubbed by one artist as "classic psychedelic in a modern package". His productions have also been described as "pretty wild", and "no hype, no recipe, just fresh unexpected surprising music." by others. With a mouth-watering melodic groove and spine tingling Detroit-infused bass lines, Karraskilla always promise a danceable sound for a hungry crowd. In 2008, he co-founded the popular New York City-based Biatch Corp Recordings label with Alvaro Bueno AKA Pito, the label's debut release was also Karraskilla's first. Entitled "Su Merced el Pimp" with remixes from Jussi Pekka and Perc, his debut was " ..a highly danceable and equally enjoyable affair" according to 365Mag. Fine tuning his skills as a DJ, he played top New York nightclubs such as Studio B, Sullivan Room, and Cielo before releasing "Tren Siete Expreso Cali" on Biatch Corp with remixes from Brendon Moeller and Pawas. De-Bug called that one "[a] very fine and surprisingly deep plate". His third release, "La Estancia con Mi Amigo el Efimero", got some serious buzz last fall. Big room flavor, different, weird, unexpected, awesome, spooky & wild, were some of the words used to describe Biatch Corp's sixth release. Karraskilla' latest EP - "Premium Traditional” is to be release on Nov 19th, 2010 with two originals and a remix from Ascii Disko. He also has a remix due out on Hidden Recording's highly anticipated follow-up to their much talked-about new single. He also has a spate of high quality unreleased tunes he is currently polishing up for release in 2011. |

| Search | Add | 5 | Kiowarini | François Vincent | Also called Kiowarini (his traditional name), François Vincent is a Wendat First Nations singer-songwriter. His name means "he who sings the soul of his people". Francophone songwriter, he is famous in Quebec for his pioneering work and his unique family heritage: ...the artist comes from the family of Prosper Vincent, the first Catholic priest Wendat (Huron) ordained in 1870 and one of the last speakers of the Wendat language. François Vincent studied singing at the Académie des Trois Arts in Quebec, and then recorded his first album, Kiowarini, in 1973. His famous song Le Huron vagabond made him a star of his generation and a Wendat cultural ambassador. Attached to revitalizing, researching, interpreting and documenting the traditional songs of his nation, he participates in numerous films, documentaries and television shows. He was notably invited to speak during the celebration of the Great Peace of Montreal in 2001. His song La Huronne, composed by Huot and Lavigueur, is a Wendat national anthem. N.V.One (The Naturally Violent One) had been in the system starting at age 6, which was also around the same age he witnessed his babysitter beat and murder another child right in front of him, creating what would be the beginning of an extensive list of mental health issues. Spent most of his life in and out of jail, until inevitably receiving a prison sentence in 2010 while living in southern Colorado. After being released from the Colorado State Penitentiary in 2015, he started working on his true passion once more, that being, Violent-Aggressive-Hardcore-Hip Hop. While not vacationing the judicial system, he spent most of his time crafting intelligent lyricism and clever rhymes to create Hip Hop with a Requiem for a Dream/They Live/Clockwork Orange Feel to it and establishing himself in the Hip Hop community as well as forming friendships with some of Hip Hop's other troubled greats. |

| Search | Add | 5 | Invisible Light Agency | Invisible Light Agency (now known as ILA) is Eldita Tarani and James Vernon. The group started in 2015 when a mutual friend and musician introduced the duo who quickly bonded over their love for the English/French band Stereolab, along with psychedelia and the creative process. Tarani, originally from Kosovo, was visiting California on a student visa. This left the group with uncertainty but also a mentality to enjoy their time working together since it wasn’t always a constant on-going opportunity. The group learned not to take things for granted with regards to collaborating and writing. While this sparked a sense of urgency, it also paved the way for playfulness with the creative process. Vernon has built a studio over the years and provides musical foundations. Tarani provides additional musical input on synthesizers and guitars as well as main vocals and lyrics. The songs are a joint effort and co-written. Their style has been described as “future retro, psychedelic pop, and dream pop” and has been compared to Vanishing Twin, Stereolab, Melody’s Echo Chamber and Corridor among their fans and friends alike. | |

Ensimmäiset koeluontoiset treenit pidettiin Narrimarssin treenikämpällä Pihlajistossa, jonne uuden kokoonpanon saanut Lumiraja pian muutti. Samalla kämpällä treenasivat noihin aikoihin myös pientä paikallista suosiota saaneet Public Reaction When Communism Comes, Little Mary Mix-Up, The Innerspacemen ja Poverty Stinks. Uudistunut Lumiraja (Caiju Rönnholm - laulu, Asmo Hammer - kitara, Tomi Nuotio - basso, Heikki Hämeri - viulu, Timmo Ravea - rummut) teki ahkerasti keikkoja Helsingin klubeissa, jolloin se herätti myös vasta toimintansa aloittaneen Tonal Recordsin mielenkiinnon. Kesällä 1988 äänitettiin esikoissinkku "Käy kansa/Laiskiainen, joka ilmestyi loppuvuodesta. Tällöin Lumiraja sai kutsun Radio Cityyn Kimmo Helistön haastatteluun. Samoihin aikoihin tehtiin bändistä myös ensimmäinen juttu Rumbaan, jota varten Jouko Lehtola otti bändistä promo-kuvia. Seuraava sinkku "Mari Toukokuu/Etäistä" julkaistiin vuoden 1989 aikana, joka soi mm. Ylen ja Radio Cityn ohjelmissa. Bändissä tapahtui kuitenkin taas miehistövaihdoksia: kitaristi Asmo hammer lopetti, ja tilalle tuli mm. Nauwon Sudet-bändissä soittanut Timo Forss. Tällä kokoonpanolla äänitettiin talvella 90/91 Equaliz-studiossa Töölössä Kimmo Helistön tuottama "Kosto/Vaahtera"-7", joka jäi Lumirajan viimeiseksi julkaisuksi. Bändi lopetti toimintansa syksyllä 1991. | |
