Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Drift Mouth | Originally conceived as a retirement gift for Lou Poster's father upon his completion of 37 years mining for Consolidation Coal in West Virginia, the first recording that would become the foundation for Drift Mouth was made in 2006. Poster and drummer Brad Swiniarski had met playing shows together in previous bands (Poster in Grafton, Swiniarski in Bob City, the Means, Bigfoot) but had never worked together in a writing/recording environment. The result was a collection of covers (Dark as a Dungeon) and originals (Loveridge is Burning) that captured a modern yet decidedly time-arrested feel, like an old photograph that somehow hasn't faded or yellowed. As sometimes happens with projects like these, once the sessions were finished the completed work was delivered to its intended audience of one, and shelved for later. Eight years later, as it turns out. As the conversations turned into practices, more pieces were added to the group: Marc Spurgeon, Craig Davidson, Josh “Roscoe” Draher, and Regan Tonti. More ideas were invited in, and the sounds grew to include multi-part harmonies and layered guitars. Over the years, inevitable lineup changes have taken place—in 2016 bass was picked up by Eric Johnson, while slide and rhythm guitar duties were taken over by Brett Burleson.

Fabbri self-funded his music and typically recorded at cheap studios. In 1998, Tony released a compilation CD. He delivered a very confusing pitch at the offices of Music Connection Magazine to gain publicity for this album. Search | Add | 5 | Charles Skilton | Charles Sanford Skilton | (b. August 16, 1868 Northampton, Massachusetts – d. March 12, 1941 Lawrence, Kansas) was an American composer and professor of music. A leading member of the American "Indianist" movement, Skilton tried to create a "genuine", national American music by borrowing melodies and rhythms from Native American songs, in the same way that some Classical European composers let themselves be inspired by the traditional folk music of their own countries. Skilton received his Bachelor of Arts from Yale University in 1889. From 1891-1893, he studied music at the Hochschule für Musik in Berlin. Afterwards, he taught music at colleges in North Carolina and New Jersey, until moving to Kansas in 1903, where he served as Dean of the School of Fine Arts at the University of Kansas from 1903-1915 and continued to teach organ, theory and music history afterwards. In 1915, a Winnebago student, George LaMère a.k.a. Chief Ho-ton-ga, awakened Skilton's interest in Native American music. Based on traditional Native American melodies LaMère shared with him, Skilton composed "Two Indian Dances" for string quartet, two pieces called "Deer Dance" and "War Dance" that he later used as parts of his four-movement "Suite Primeval," and three "Indianist" operas. |

Search | Add | 5 | Lars Ekengren | Örnsköldsvik, Sweden With a voice that maneuvers effortlessly from a heartrending intimacy to a matter-of-life-and-death roar, Lars Ekengren challenges the very best at delivering a song in a way that leaves no one untouched. Native of Örnsköldsvik, a small town on the coast of northern Sweden, Ekengren grew up to the sound of Ronnie James Dio coming from a cassette player and his father playing jazz trumpet in the basement. Though an engineer by trade, music has been the common thread in Ekengren’s life. In the late 00’s he started performing with original songs, often colored by his five-year stay in the US in the early decade. Following the state win in a song contest hosted by Swedish radio in 2013, his entry song ”153 More Days” got a fair share of airtime and the growing of a fan base slowly started. In 2015 came his debut release, the live-feel EP ”Dirt”, which was well received and served as a stepping stone for landing opening gigs for acts such as Drew Holcomb, Uncle Lucius and The Thousand Dollar Playboys. Ekengren’s debut album ”Monsters” (2018) is a gracefully arranged and well produced collection of songs that certainly brings more to mind than a middle-aged engineer from a small town in the north of Sweden. Blurring the lines between pop, rock and alt-country, ”Monsters” showcases Ekengren’s acute sense for an infectious melody, his powerful lyrical imagery, and – much thanks to his vocals – a persistent energy that this genre of music is not spoiled with. Reflecting on ”Monsters”, Ekengren says: ”It has taken my entire life to write this album – both literally and figuratively. It’s a collection of songs that echoes of fear, pain, happiness, sorrow, love, memories, hopelessness, confusion, resignation, hope, anxiety, alienation … well, pretty much everything and anything that fits into one’s existence. Despite it being my first album – it’s my legacy, of some sort.”.
