Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Rev. Robert Fraser | Robert Fraser | There is scant information out there regarding the Fraser Radio Gospel Hour. It started in 1925 and ran possibly as late as 1973 and was hosted by Rev. Robert Fraser a Blind Radio Evangelist in Philadelphia. He headed several related charities including the Fraser Home for Elderly Ladies, the Fraser Mission and the Fraser Home for Girls. He was born on March 14th 1906, and attended Overbrook school for the blind also in Philly. The book Undaunted by Blindness by Clifford E. Olstrom claims that he was singing on the radio by the age of 16. That seems dubious as that'd be in 1922, but there were at least a few stations in Philadelphia at that time: WFI-AM, WOO-AM, WGL-AM, WCAU-AM, and WDAR-AM, so it is possible. The Olstrom reference I found for this seemed weak. The book does got the man's age wrong a sentence later claiming he was 19 in 1923... oops. Fraser wrote his autobiography in 1936 titled Overcoming Obstacles, chapter 4 is "Growing up with radio." It ironed out the specifics. It details his early radio appearances. He worked with Christopher W. Graham (Uncle WIP) on WIP-AM, and on WCAU-AM he played the character "Sunshine Boy." He sang with Dumont and Emmett Welsch's Minstrels on WFI-AM and WDAR-AM. But in 1924 he was converted and gave up jazz and vaudeville for gospel and preaching. It's unclear where he might have preached on the radio in the early years but he and his wife Ella Stark were married in the studio of WCAU, so it's probably that station. Another book, 30 Years With Radio looks back at the program over it's history. It was published in 1955 to commemorate 30 years of his radio program. It lists WLBR, WIBG, WNAR, WVCH and WKAP among others but often lacking dates. But the autobiography noted that they broadcast 532 shows on WIP-AM. If the Fraser Radio Gospel Hour was always weekly program, that means spent the better part of a decade on WIP before appearing on any of those other stations. |

Search | Add | 5 | M.C. Mr. Tink | Christopher Lang | Born and raised on the streets of Compton California, a highly decorated gang member and street pharmacist, already an up and coming talent in the underground rap community. Chris's long time friend the late Johnny Burns aka- Mr. Mausberg was inspired by Chris to fallow his dreams as a reality rap artist, Mausberg was killed in the summer of 2000. Chris Lang's life would forever be changed during the summer of 1997. This transformation will forever be remembered as the new birth of "Trip C" (Chris Crazy for Christ). With the renewing of his heart, mind, and spirit, Trip C has fully launched himself in the use and the perfecting his gift by bringing the word of God to the streets from whence he came, through the medium of rap. Vowing to never again write lyrics that kill, but create lyrics that up lift and wins souls for the true and living God. Trip C states "for we are not chosen by the Lord to be entertainers, but vessels used according to his will and purpose". Searching for answers, looking to fill a void, and a desire to quench his thirst for knowledge, Trip C began a migration southward. Through the direction of the Holy Spirit, Trip C found himself in Oceanside, Ca. under the leadership and direction of Dr.'s Clarence & Josephine Crayton, Faith Temple Christian Center.Collaborating with Grapetree recording artist Crow, on his current release "The Method of Attack", Trip C's hunger to minister the Word, and obedience to the Holy Spirit has grown into a roaring fire, Trip C has launched his own independent Gospel Label, "All for Jesus" Records (AFJ), on which his debut project, "The New School Testament", will be released. AFJ's main focus will be to bring the word to the lost and save souls.Trip C's contributions to the world of gospel rap, with heated lyrics of salvation and prosperity can only be matched through the love and support displayed by his loving wife Nathia.Revelations 2:7 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God." |

Search | Add | 5 | Concave Scream | Singapore rock band Concave Scream paved the way for other homegrown bands, particularly amid the country's fledgling indie rock scene. Founded in 1994 by schoolmates Sean Lam (lead vocals, guitar) and Pann Lim (lead guitar, vocals), the band released its self-financed, self-titled debut album in 1995 and saw it catch on steadily among English-language rock listeners in Singapore, especially among critics. The growing buzz about Concave Scream led to the breakthrough success of their second album, Erratic (1997), which spawned several radio hits and elevated the band to the top of Singapore's rock scene. Three (1999) continued the band's success, but it would be a long seven years before Concave Scream returned with their fourth album, Horizons (2006), a return to-roots effort on EMI Singapore. Their fifth and final album, Soundtrack For A Book, an instrumental album that was once again self-released, would follow in 2009.

Search | Add | 5 | The Klagetoh Swingers | Navajo singing group from Klagetoh, Arizona, formed around 1970. The Klagetoh Swingers originated from Klagetoh, Arizona, and formed about 1970. Since then they have traveled many placed such as squaw dances throughout the Navajo Reservation. They first started by singing at social gatherings and on local radio stations. Later, people started requesting their presence at different events. Many of their performances were done at large gatherings such as the Navajo Tribal Fair, the New Mexico State Fair, various powwows, colleges, and schools. Other performances have been at Christmas parties and at Father's and Mother's Day gatherings. Many times the Swingers have received trophies or various awards for their singing. Many people from young children to senior citizens like the songs of the Klagetoh Swingers, and make their own interpretations of the songs. The songs are really about everyday happenings they see, or relationships among people. Whenever the Swingers are scheduled to perform at some gathering, you usually see a large crowd who will enjoy their performance. Their interest is to promote and keep the traditional songs among our Navajo people. Many of the younger generation are learning the songs and are keeping them well understood.

Search | Add | 5 | Agrokulcher | Agrokulcher was formed in '97, although the current line up has only been together since '99. When the previous vocalist decided to leave the band, management called upon Matt DeJoy who was working on a couple of different projects at the time. After just one rehearsal, he was granted the position of frontman and the band immediately began writing together. Within a month Agrokulcher had written enough material to go into the studio to work on their first E.P. titled "God". Since then, the band has been performing and headlining up and down the west coast. Agrokulcher played at "Camp Ozzy" at Ozzfest, opened up for the band "Live" at Dennis Rodman's Birthday Bash at the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas and headlined the Tony Hawk Skate and Music Festival in the South Bay. They also were privileged enough to record two songs with punk legend Mike Watt. It was a tribute to legendary punk bonds from the South Bay. The album is available in record stores titled "The Bay After". Agrokulcher's style of music is of n heavier genre, but the band has been influenced by the likes of Bowie, Tool, Depeche Mode, Snot, Primus, Faith No More, Deftones, you get the idea. AK has exploded out of the South Bay (Hermosa Beach, Ca.) and has gained much respect from the entire L.A. music scene as they play in Hollywood and surrounding areas constantly. In September '99, Agrokulcher was named "Underground Band of the Month" by both Loudside Entertainment (www.loudside.com) and "Unsigned Band of the Month" by Unenrthed.com. (www.unearthed.com). "AK" has also been given strong recognition by Artist Direct.com and Ubl.com. In October of 2000 Agrokulcher took some time out of their busy schedule to record the follow up to their first E.P. This CD was appropriately titled "2000". This CD shows the great musical bond and growth that the band was able to form in a very fast paced year. Their sold out CD release party at the Troubadour (Hollywood, Ca.) was a huge success. It helped others in the tight nit community of Hollywood realize why there is such a buzz about this band that has only been together for a short time. Agrokulcher is continuing on the tracks of many great Hollywood bands that have gone on to bigger careers while they continue to stay true to themselves. Their fans have made it perfectly clear what they want ...many more jaw dropping performances. It is very hard to not get lost among the thousands of heavy bands in Hollywood. Agrokulcher has made it a point to make their music and lyrical content very personable to themselves and those who make the right choice to really listen. Look for Agrokulcher to release a new Cd by the end of Summer 2001.

Search | Add | 5 | El Durangoz | Dom Sweeten | Dom is undoubtedly one of the most popular & respected producers in the Hard House /NRG arena. Over the years, he has been involved with a great number of classic tracks & remixes produced under various pseudonyms, most notably his [a=Defective Audio] alias & the longstanding partnership with [a=Superfast Oz] as [a=OD404]. Dom and Oz met whilst DJ'ing at gigs in Brighton during the mid 90's. They had similar tastes and both were interested in dabbling with music production, so they acquired some studio equipment and started crafting their art. Very few labels were initially interested and the duo later launched [l=Kaktai Records] in '97 as a platform for their music. Dom developed a preference for the studio and has since featured original productions & remixes in a variety of styles on every prominent label within the scene. Apart from his partnership in Kaktai Records, Dom also runs the Hard House / NRG label, [l=Spinball Records] & [l=Battle Jaxx] which was an outlet for his Funky Hard House. Since mid 2004, Dom has managed to escape Studio 404 long enough for a few very select DJ appearances as well as OD404 Live shows with Oz. |

Search | Add | 5 | Rowing Gamblers | Swedish pop group formed in 1965 in Årsta in Stockholm municipality. The band was formed by Ulf Wahlberg, (guitar / organ / vocals) Björn Olsén, (guitar / vocals) Thomas Rydberg (drums) and Hans Jonsson (bass). The following year, 1966, the group won a medal in Jump In's pop band competition. They appeared in Opopoppa in 1967 and toured extensively, including in Holland and Finland. Hans "Lill-Hasse" Jonsson was long called Sweden's smallest bassist; he was only fourteen years old when the group was started. Rowing Gamblers otherwise stood for a relatively soft pop sound with a lot of vocals. In the last year the group was active (1970), Peter Stolt (Pete Proud) became the fifth member on vocals and percussion. There are some well-known names as composers on the group's singles. Göran Lagerberg (Tages) has written and produced "A World Of Roses". The couple Claes Dieden-Bengt Palmers (Palmers was also a producer) and Ulf Neidemar (Bernie Boys, Uffe) have also contributed to the group. The group's first single was produced by Hans Östlund. The group themselves were also relatively early in writing their own material. Search | Add | 5 | Duff Ferguson | Los Angeles, California Folk-Pop Crooner DUFF FERGUSON is a familiar face around the LOS ANGELES Roots Rock Scene, having rode in crap tour vans, recorded alongside, jammed with, photographed, danced with the wives of and bought PBRS for most everybody in 20 years of California Music. These days you’ll find him performing alone on a vintage parlor guitar, singing lovely songs of loss, loose songs of love and portraits of life drawn from the many characters he’s met in a lifetime of traveling America’s dustier corners. Duff was born in New York City to a family of classical musicians and raised in rural New Jersey. As the son of a choir director, he sang spirituals in church but bought rock and pop records with his allowance. After discovering an old Yamaha student guitar in the attic, he developed his own guitar technique simply because he didn’t know anyone who played guitar and there was no Internet. Duff cut his performing teeth in Sea of Fuzz, a beer-soaked college cover band lauded by a Haverford, PA paper as “the local band with the largest amps.” The band entertained for four years and provided Duff’s first encounters with electrocution and arguments over band members’ girlfriends. Duff’s first solo New York show was at the Lion’s Den in Greenwich Village as headliner at the NOHO Acoustic Guitar Festival. While living in Hells Kitchen and the Village, Duff recorded and distributed 5 EPs of original songs and acted as band manager for Jared Barkan’s Hot Iris rock trio with Hans Glawischnig (Chick Corea) and Richie DeBonis. Moving to San Francisco during the dot com crash, Duff fell in with Americana roots artist Rich McCulley, joining his band as a lead guitar player for over 50,000 miles of national touring and promo appearances in a battered Ford Windstar minivan. The band’s drummer, Andrew Griffin (Felsen), and bass player Eran Ellerbeck then performed on Duff’s debut 2 song single “Wanna Get High”, which was produced by Griffin and fellow San Francisco producer Jeff Rolka. In 2004, Duff joined an exodus of Bay Area musicians to Los Angeles, playing his first gig in LA as lead guitar player for fellow San Francisco act Single at The Gig in Hollywood. The band included singer/guitarist Todd Herfindal (The Meadows) and drummer Tommy Rickard (Vain, Linda Perry). Within a month, Duff fell in cahoots with bass player Rick Barrio Dill (Vintage Trouble), drummer George Bernardo (Cash’d Out, Evangenitals) and vocalist Teri Untalan – a band that was captured in the five song EP “400 Miles” at Rich McCulley’s Red Hill recording studios in San Francisco soon after. Rob Beaton mixed it in Los Angeles, and it was named a top 25 release for 2005 by Music Connection Magazine. The unsigned band played widely in the Los Angeles area and San Francisco with vocalist Carlett Martin taking over for Untalan on harmonies. Now managed by CLM Management in Burbank, Duff began a series of “jive and drive” solo tours of colleges, listening rooms and house concerts all the way from the Mexican border right up to Bellingham, WA and out east to Texas and Arizona, playing on live television and radio along the way. In Arizona, one morning television show appearance coincided with Nolan Ryan, one of Duff’s pitching heroes. “Suddenly” was used on MTV. All this traveling and music making led to Duff’s next record “Good Things,” released in 2008 on Single Recordings. Strange coincidences and handshakes made in dark bars led to many of his favorite lights in the LA roots scene joining in the record: Rick Barrio Dill, Mike Stinson, Tony Gilkyson, Tommy Rickard, Todd Herfindal, Kevin Houlihan, Rob Douglas, Heather Waters, Rich McCulley, Amy Farris, Taras Prodaniuk, Carmen Doane and Jared Barkan. Herfindal and McCulley participated also as co-writers and producers. In 2014, Duff began issuing a series of about a dozen unreleased songs starting with the track “Interstellar Poetry” mixed with the occasional video and the odd ukelele. These recordings showcased a stripped down sound with only acoustic guitar and voice performed live to “tape,” a style that Duff soon came to focus on in public performances as well. The record “My Story Is The Same” (2018), produced by Ted Wulfers and Todd Herfindal, featured 9 such tracks that showcase pop melodies combined with a driving rhythmic acoustic style and soulful topics. The warm reception to this new sound led Duff Ferguson to his next solo acoustic record “More Than I Should,” released in 2019. It is a 10-track acoustic bonanza that once again captures Duff performing alone with a humble 1960s student guitar into 3 vintage mics. Duff’s too-tender voice is set free in this setting to trace a singularly personal line though the tracks. It floats from one register to another, breaks like a wave and slides behind the beat when you need it most. Duff is currently at work on his seventh record, working once again with Wulfers and Herfindal, slated for 2020 release. He and songwriter Tom Bishel have released an EP of rock co-writes also recorded at Wulfers’ 663 Sound Studio under the name Origin Story. Duff can also been seen as 1/2 of the improvisational acoustic duo Blues At The End Of Time with Jared Barkan. Duff has produced recordings for artists such as Jared Barkan (“Dark Blue”/2006), Carmen Doane and Kim DiVine. He has co-written songs with Simon Lynge (“One Day at a Time”/BMI), Todd Herfindal (“The Things That Lovers Do”/BMI & ASCAP), Rich McCulley (“Never Enough”/BMI), Allan Frank (“Open Your Eyes”/BMI) and Tom Bishel (“One Step to the Top,” “No Better Time,” “Walk to the Edge” & “Guardian Angel”/BMI). Duff has also helped several hundred artists design artwork and create photos/video for their music releases, including The Spencer Davis Group, The Meadows, David Serby, Grant Langston and Rich McCulley to name a few. Duff lives in Los Angeles.

Search | Add | 5 | Nathan Gammons | Nathan Gammons is a multi-instrumentalist in the Lehigh/Berks County area. He started playing music at the age of 4 with the piano and around the age of 12, he bought first guitar. Around that same time he bag an to start jamming with people he knew around the area. He met people like Aiden Braadt and Andrew Pletz from local band “The Rays”. Eventually Nathan would find a band to play in, which he would find had Andrew formally from the Rays playing drums. This band was called “Rotting Fruit”. Nathan played bass for the band. Around that time, he would start his first solo project called “bloody saliva”. This project was a completely different direction of the punk stuff he was doing with Rotting Fruit. He would play 2 shows with the band before eventually departing from the band in January of 2024 due to a toxic relationship with the lead singer. Andrew also departed with Nathan and soon would create their new band, Brushburn, which is joined by long time friend of Nathan’s, Eli Schlappich. Around April of 2024, Nathan started his second project, which focused on a screamo sound, called “dead… on arrival”.

Search | Add | 5 | Martín Galarza | José Martin Galarza Arce | José Martin Galarza Arce began in rap music starting in 1984, due to the fact that he traveled to Puerto Rico at that time. In this country he learned break dancing and rap. In 1989 he returned to Ecuador, after having completed his studies in sound engineering and music production at Institute of audio research-New York. In this year he obtained a record contract thanks to the help of Troy Alvarado "Bassist of the group Tranzas" and he released his first recordings on the album, "Asfalto Caliente" and "Guacharnaco", but it is with the song that followed them singles, the rap ballad titled "Tres Notas" with which marks the beginning of rap in Ecuador. The songs such as "Vago Soy", "Sangre Latina" and the song that released the fame to AU-D, "Tres Notas". "Tres Notas" sold more than 180,000 copies in less than a year, a record number for an Ecuadorian soloist at that time (source: IFESA) and received countless awards such as the Huancavilca Award as Song of the Year and marked the beginning of rap in Ecuador . The video remained in the most popular ranking of the time, that of the TV show "El Show de Bernard" (Ecuavisa) for 7 weeks as # 1. Already in 1992 he edits "Rebel Without Pause", disc of 4 subjects where he temporarily leaves aside the rap ballad and writes about more social themes, as well as expresses his concerns about an increasingly superficial world as in the song "Solo Entre Tanta Gente "and" Chicos de la Cuadra ", however, this album does not match the success of the previous one, which is why he decides to return to the line that he released with the song" Cuando Me Quieras ", written and performed together with the composer and singer of the band "Tranzas" Douglas Bastidas in 1994, managing to place this song among the most played songs of that year. In 1996 he decided to perfect that pop rap sound he had achieved and experimented by re-versioning the song of the lojano singer-songwriter Edison León Celi (Edhisson), "Un Amor Así"; also decides to integrate a female voice, the singer from Guayaquil Maria Gabriela Flor. In this CD of 9 songs I would also highlight the ballad "Solo Tu Amor". This CD, released independently, gets Double Gold Record (Source: Society of Authors and Composers of Ecuador-SAYCE) and places these two songs in the number one of the season 1996. In the 97 license this same album under the title of " Rebel Without Pause "to the BMG label, being the year of its internationalization, where it has the opportunity to transmit its music and triumph in part of South America. |

Since that release, they’ve had no shortage of milestones, sharing stages with needtobreathe, American Authors, Lit, Neon Trees, Sister Hazel, Piebald, and more. Now, the Philadelphia quartet is back with their sophomore effort, “If You’re Still Around.” A leap ahead in their evolution, Floorbird embraces a more electric, pop-driven sound without leaving behind their emo foundations. Releasing September 15, 2023, this record is Floorbird at their very best - with no signs of stopping.
