Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Los Subversivos | The band was formed in 1989 in Del Viso, Pilar Party. After a couple of months of rehearsal, they played at their first time in San Telmo, sharing the stage with 2 Minutos, Superuva, Mal Momento, Fun People, Olor a pata ,Contrabando, and more friendly bands. After a time of change of members, Los Subversivos continue to play stage with several bands all parts of the country including outside as M.C.D and Soziedad Alkoholika of the Basque countrie and Los Crudos of the United States. Recording his first independent album in 1995 Flamearé mi bandera and a second album in 1999 Resignarse es morir, a live album in Forrest, Santiago del Estero. Flamearé mi bander was published in Spain and based on that they recorded a vinyl with Urban DK (United States band) that was published in the United States, France and Spain. Apart from having participated in several compilations. At 16, after seeing Sumo and Todos Tus Muertos live, Kike knew he wanted to have his own group. "The savagery, and the original sound of those bands, and being able to enjoy them live, marked me." This is how Kike Andrada remembers what he felt in the late eighties. With their companions from school of Del Viso, Buenos Aires, they had the habit of going to recitals in the Parakultural. At that time he also meets "Koko" Quintana, thanks to a mutual friend. "I had been skateboarding, and I was already listening to Suicidal Tendencies, Exploited, a couple of bands here," Koko recalls. There was Todos Tus Muertos, the first album had just come out. Kike made me listen. And at the same time we began to share everything that was music, until one day he made me the proposal to put together a band. Obviously, I was excited to start, and we began to see what we were going to do. Like any band that starts, out there influenced by the bands of the moment that one was listening. ” At first they joined together two to compose with an accoustic guitar, but then they looked for the missing members. Before starting with this project, both had already assembled the "Social Pop" fanzine, from which 3 numbers came out. The band's first line-up was composed by Leonardo "Koko" Quintana in voice, Jorge Antonio "Kike" Andrada on guitar, Betty López on bass (girlfriend at the time, and then Kike's wife), and Mario "El Flaco" Menesunda on drums (who later participated in addition to the thrash Estirpe group). The name they chose for the band was "Los Subversivos", in homage to the 30,000 missing. The debut show was at MacArthur, in 1989. "At that time, if they liked the band, it was a club. If they did not like the band, they would kick you out from stage, or not give to you any atention at all" Koko explains. "Then when we did the first gig the place exploded. Pogo was armed with all the old people of that time, who was easy to get in trouble" <laughs>. There the ice broke. " By that time the line up had changed: El Flaco Mario went from drums to bass, and on the drums was a boy from Belgrano (Buenos Aires) named Federico.

Featuring members (and all the best parts) of Be Your Own Pet, Soledad Brothers and Immortal Lee County Killers rolled together for a blasting punk screed the likes of which haven't been heard round here since Pussy Galore's "Feel Good About Your Body" EP. Shit was distorted, in the red, raw and couldn't be more perfect....rock and roll the way it was meant to be. The group released two singles before calling it a day.

Search | Add | 2 | Staffordshire Band | The Staffordshire Band can trace its roots back to before the turn of the last century, when it was known as the Walsall Wood Institute Temperance Band. In the 1920's the band fell on hard times and became bankrupt, but out of the ashes the Aldridge Colliery Silver Prize Band was formed and rehearsed in a large garage in Brookland Road, Aldridge. Their first radio broadcast was on the BBC in the 1930's. During the Second World War, the band joined with the Bloxwich British Legion and Bescot Bands to become the Walsall Home Guard Band. In 1954 the band was renamed the Aldridge Town Band and, with the help of a Councellor Owen, were promised uniforms and instruments. Success followed in 1956 when the band was placed 5th at the National Brass Band Championships held at the Royal Albert Hall, Nottingham (the records do not make clear in which Section the band played). A month later, due to economic circumstances, the Council withdrew its promise to provide uniforms and instruments, however in 1957 events change again and the Council are able to present new instruments at a concert at the BRD.

Search | Add | 2 | Preisthood | Priesthood now consists of J-Raw, Mr. Swift and Chico Breeze. The group was founded in 1994 by J-Raw (junior Moaalii) and Papa Semm (Semi Tafao). The two came from different gospel rap groups. J-Raw was with a group called "Prophets of Peace" and Papa Semm was with "Next of Kin". In 1996 Mr. Swift was added to the line up. Name But the crew had been together playing shows, without a name, until Papa Semm presented, "Priesthood". This he saw in the Bible in Hebrews 7:24, "Because Jesus lives forever, we are a permanent Priesthood". Papa Semm left after the recording of "Turn up your radio" in 2002. He went to help his mother to run their church. Metro One Music Priesthood released an independent tape in late 1997 and was soon there after signed to Metro 1 Music, January 15,1999. Their debut "Sprinkle Me Luv", was released in stores, July 20th, 1999. The music is a mix of hip hop and R&B, which blends into a very soulful sound. Crew J-Raw or Junior Moaalii as he is known by friends and family was born in California, but was raised in American Samoa, an island within the South Pacific. He returned back to California in 1988. His parents were divorced and he finally ended in Lynwood where he stayed with his uncle and his family, who were devout followers of the Lord. J-Raw grew up listening to different styles of music in which later developed into a passion to write. He first started out in a group called "Prophet's Of Peace", who released a couple of independent CD's and he was also involved with a group from Compton, who had a group called "Village Crew Production". Then J-Raw decided to use his talents for God and founded Priesthood. Identity Mr. Swift (Kirk Douglas) was raised in a christian home, still he was searching for his identity. He didn't like the person, who he was. At a young age he accepted he needed Jesus in his life. He says about that time "So, I asked Jesus into my life personally and from the age of 15 he's never left me". Foundation Adam Maaele is Chici Breeze, who was born and raised in Carson, California. Adam was heavily involved in gangs, but had his grandparents and other people praying for him. This laid the foundation for the change in the lifestyle he was leading. In the year 1994 he accepted God. Now he's married and has four daughters.

Pucho was around fifteen years old when he was offered a record deal with small-time label Junior (a record label for teenage artists). Pucho enjoyed unexpected runaway success during 1964 with twist single "Buenos Y Malos" and was offered a better deal at Microfon label, but his carreer was short-lived. He also appeared in television show "Escala Musical" and in Microfon's LP compilation, "Una ventana al Éxito" during late 1964. By late 1965 he was completely off the music industry. In late 1940, in California, the Three Buckaroos took the name the Jimmy Wakely Trio, after adding Gene Autry. Dick Reinhart replaced Scotty Harrel as the third member of the trio on the movie "Melody Ranch." The Encyclopedia of Country Music says that the Bond-Wakely-Harrell trio "pulled a clever musical scam" by recording for two companies under different names: the Jimmy Wakely Trio (for Decca Records) and Johnny Bond & the Cimarron Boys (for Columbia Records).

Shatta Mejia was the lead rapper, spokesperson and spiritual head of D-Town Brown, along with drummer Kenny Ortiz, bassist Ken Grider, guitarist Raphael Tapia and DJ Hen G [Henry Gomez]. Unlike many hip-hop acts, D-Town Brown was a real band, with performers who play original licks rather than sample snatches of music made by their predecessors. "We're fortunate to have musical diversity in the lineup. We've got a scratching DJ, a thrasher guitar player, a rocking bass player, the maddest funk drummer in town and a rapper who loves reggae, too." As one of the premier rap groups at the time, they were know for their politically charged message and socially conscious approach. They released "Tiempo Chicano" on tape in 1994, followed by the CD album release "Smotherd Dee-Lux" in 1996.
