Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Burnt Probe | Burnt Probe is Peter Kris and Adam Bellhouse. The two met while Adam was working at the DA, an all-ages art and show gallery in Pomona. Peter was drawn to the venue due to their continuous efforts with community activism and organization. BP formed a few years following with the simple idea of meeting up on Fridays to create and record as necessary. The driving beats and lack of vocals stray from other German Army outings, additionally the influence of the San Gabriel Valley appears throughout the driving sound of the group.

Search | Add | 2 | Sandra Karina | Alexandra Gavaiskaya | Sandra Karina was born Alexandra Gavaiskaya in 1908 on the shores of the vast Lake Baikal in Siberia, where her father was stationmaster. Alexandra was the second daughter born to the young couple stationed far away from their home region of Rostov on the Don. In 1910, her father was transferred to the Russian built city of Harbin, in Manchuria, where he directed the railway's export department until his death in 1913. His widow and the two girls stayed on in Harbin where the mother found work at the export department after the Russian Revolution of 1917 wiped out the family's savings. It was a child in Harbin that Alexandra heard such famous singers as Karinskaya and Vertinsky and determined that she, too, would be a singer. Alexandra sang constantly, teaching herself by listening to the recordings of these famous artists and singing along with them. She also took her first voice lessons in Harbin. Her older sister Nina, an accomplished pianist, would provide accompaniment on the piano. Threatened by the Japanese occupation of Manchuria, the small family was encouraged by friends to move to Tientsin, China, which had a large Russian colony. Many had moved there as the Revolution swept across Russia, and much of the retreating White Army and their families, many Don Cossaks among them, took refuge in Northern China. Finding herself in Tientsin at the age of thirteen, Alexandra enjoyed the life of teenager: studying ballet, music, playing tennis, and attending a French Catholic high school for girls. In 1927 she married Basil J. Koulaeff, an artist and son of a prominent Russian business man. In the early 1930's they had a daughter, Elena, and soon the whole family moved to the United States where they all became U.S.citizens. Settling in Hollywood, California, Alexandra participated in the social life of the Russian-American community centered around the Russian Orthodox Church and the film industry. At that time, a good number of Russians were employed by the Hollywood studios as scenic artists, musicians, actors, dancers, and directors. Many found their way to the parties at Alexandra's home. She sang on stage, in films, and in a Russian nightclub on the Sunset Strip, that was frequented by the movie stars of the 1940's. It was at this time that she took the stage name of Sandra Karina. In 1946, Sandra Karina joined the USO group called the Russion Revels -- an award winning group of musicians, dancers, and singers directed by pianist Sergei Malavsky. Having separated from her husband, she was free to tour the United States performing in Veteran's Hospitals for two years. During the USO tour she was able to visit with Nastia Poliakova in New York and renewed a friendship that had begun years earlier. Nastia advised Sandra on the rendition of several songs and taught her the lyrics in the Gypsy language. Returning to Hollywood, she met and married engineer Michael Graves (born Michael Glushkov) a fellow Russian from China. She continued to sing and give concerts, and in 1954 she recorded the songs in this CD. Michael's young son Nicholas came to live with them and Sandra devoted herself to her family. Michael's work as a structural engineer took them all over the country to states such as Washington, Pennsylvania, and Mississippi where they lived for a number of years, finally setting back to the Hollywood Hills where Sandra Karina lived till she died in 2000. |

Search | Add | 2 | Lian Hearn | Gillian Rubinstein | Gillian Rubinstein (born 29 August 1942) is an English-born children's author and playwright. Born in Potten End, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, England, Rubinstein split her childhood between England and Nigeria, moving to Australia in 1973. As well as eight plays, numerous short stories and articles, she has written over 30 books. Her award-winning and hugely popular 1986 debut Space Demons introduced the themes of growing up and fantasy worlds which emerge often in her other writings. Books such as At Ardilla, Foxspell and Galax-Arena all received critical acclaim and multiple awards. In 2001, Rubinstein published Across the Nightingale Floor, the first of the best-selling five book Tales of the Otori series under the pseudonym Lian Hearn. The series is set in a fictional island nation resembling feudal Japan and is her first work to reach an adult audience. The name 'Lian', comes from a childhood nickname and 'Hearn' apparently refers to herons which are a prominent theme in the series. It has also been suggested that the surname is most likely borrowed from Lafcadio Hearn; one of the first Western writers to tackle Japanese mythology. Gillian Rubinstein currently resides in Goolwa, South Australia. |

Search | Add | 2 | Chief Lelooska | Don Lelooska Smith | Lelooska was given his name at age 12 when he was adopted by the Nez Perce. It means “He Who Cuts Against Wood with a Knife” and has become a treasured family name symbolic of their work. Named Gixken, “Chief of Chiefs”, an old title, by the Kwakwaka’wakw (Kwakiutl), Lelooska is the first child of Shona-Hah and was leader of the family. Lelooska and his family were formally adopted into the House of Sewide of the Mamaleleqala and Qwiqwasutnox bands of the Kwakwaka’wakw by Chief James Aul Sewide. With this adoption the hereditary rights, crests and privileges of the Sewide lineage were bestowed on Lelooska and his family. “I am the most fortunate of the children,” he said, “for I was the one best acquainted with our grandfather—a touchstone of the history and traditions of our people.” During the years of his childhood, Lelooska and his grandfather He-Killer were inseparable companions. The memory of the hours they spent carving and talking together were very precious to Lelooska. He-Killer was a man who went forward to meet life. Retaining at all times great pride in his Indian heritage, he served, as a young man, with Troop A of the Fifth Cavalry and later worked with Buffalo Bill Cody. Although Lelooska was of Cherokee descent, he transcended the normal confines of any single tribe. His life was devoted to the quest for knowledge, which made him an authority on the Indians of North America. Of particular interest to him were “The Cedar and Salmon People”—the tribes of the northwest coast. He made preserving their arts his life work. Lelooska spoke Chinook Jargon, the trade language of the coast, and was a student of the Kwakwaka’wakw (Kwakiutl) language. He was also conversant in half a dozen Indian dialects. His study of languages gave him insight into the traditional mind and enabled him to communicate freely with the Old People. “They are the books, the libraries, of Indian culture,” Lelooska said. He devoted a great deal of time to research for the educational programs, and he also experimented from research to develop techniques for the family’s artwork. These techniques were then refined and modified by family members for their own use. “Experimentation is part of our own ongoing education,” he explained. Lelooska’s work is highly prized by collectors. He was primarily a wood sculptor, well known for his versatility. His pieces range is size from those that can be held in the palm of the hand to huge totem poles. Opening masks, carved panels, feast bowls, rattles and animal sculpture are a few examples of the types of carvings which he enjoyed making. A man of commanding presence and a scholar, Lelooska had great charm and was extremely witty, all of which made him a favorite with people of all age groups and backgrounds. Of the family’s work and lifestyle, Chief Lelooska said, “Our grandfather advised us to take the best of both worlds–the Indian’s and the non-Indian’s–and combine them so that they would complement and enrich each other. This we have done, but, always, our Indianness is the focus of our lives. “There is much we must do. Before the coming of the white man, the Northwest Coast Peoples had a highly developed and complex culture. All facets of it were expressed in their art forms. But when their way of life was disrupted, so much of the art was lost and destroyed that all of it may never be recovered. “I plan to spend the rest of my life helping save what I can. But even if I live to be a hundred, I will only scratch the surface of what needs to be done.” Chief Lelooska passed away in September of 1996. The chieftancy was passed to his brother, Tsungani. His legacy of educational programs continues to this day at the Lelooska Cultural Center, where young and old come to learn from the living history programs, museum collection and other activities. |

Search | Add | 2 | Inner Vitriol | INNER VITRIOL is a progressive-dark metal band based in Bologna (Italy). The band - under the former monicker “Vitriol” - released two albums with the American label Melodic Revolution Records. Their full lenght “Into The Silence I Sink" was highly acclaimed by the international press at its release and the American radio show “Prog Metal Show” put it at the 8th place in the "Top 50 progressive metal albums of the year". The band toured across Italy, UK, Poland, Austria and Russia, also performing as opener for Dream Theater, Sons of Apollo, Pain of Salvation, Evergrey, Soen, Kingcrow and Votum. The monicker stems from the acronym of one of the most famous mottos of Renaissance alchemy “V.i.t.r.i.o.l. - Visita Interiora Terrae Rectificando Invenies Occultum Lapidem” (Enter the bowels of the Earth and, through your purification, you will find the hidden stone). It is a metaphor representing the path of man inside his own Ego in order to finally find the philosophical Truth. The duality of the locution “inner vitriol”, referring both to a corrosive chemical compound and to the renaissance motto, well describes the essence of the band, constantly pursuing balance between aggressiveness and introspection. INNER VITRIOL is about to release an official live DVD shot in Moscow, two single releases with videoclips and a new full-length. Current line up: Gabriele Gozzi - Vocals Michele Di Lauro - Guitars Francesco Lombardo - Bass Michele Panepinto - Drums Former members: Gianluca Pappalardo - Vocals (2007 - 2016) Alessandro Sanfilippo - Guitars (2007 - 2013) Pierangelo Carvello - Keyboards (2007 - 2013) Tommaso Semrov - Guitars (2010 - 2013) Fausto De Bellis - Guitars (2013 - 2016)

Search | Add | 2 | Ella Dot Motions | Calvian "Vian" Pangerti | In 2012, Vian had known as a member in one of Malang’s dance crew. Furthermore, he also was known as music editor and mixer in some of the dance competitions. When he and his family had moved into Banyuwangi, he decided to act in EDM music as a DJ. In the middle of 2013, he began to learn anything about EDM was he got an influence from his first’s favorite EDM track “Water of Nazareth” by Justice. Tried to make a simple track, but he felt that genre hadn’t his passion. Since in the end of 2013 were Djakarta Warehouse Project 2013 had to attend, he got many pieces of knowledge when he tried to find much information about that festival’s lineup, such as Breakbot, Alesso, David Guetta, until Zedd. He felt so interesting progressive house, and he tried to learn how to produce it with his first’s project name “E.L.L.A”. He always tried to find something new about EDM, and learn all about it. Many genres he had learned, and he realized if Dubstep is so hard for him to produce. When he was 17, he has his own passion in EDM were always give a mellow and sad story like ambient. He tried to combine among ambient with progressive house, and that was an origin of Ella Dot Motions were dot means the end of the sentence or anything, while motions mean mood or feels were always contained in his track or in his lyrics. In a fact, he always put Ella’s name in his project name because that’s his first-love girl name was met him for a moment and gone. In other hands, she was his first inspiration to decided his EDM world’s journey. 2015 is the year of electronic dance music were have many new styles had appeared, and Vian also had become as a student in English Department in Jember University. He always writes any song’s lyrics and tried to produce it in his own EDM style. In the middle of 2015, he accidentally found an EDM style was so comfortable with him, and that had no differences with his style. When he tried all about that style, he realized if he adopted a Chillout-ambient style, and he decided to still adopt that EDM style and mixed with that chillout-Ambient until now. In 2017 early, he decided to cover his identity and his appearance when performed. Sometimes, he becomes a ghost producer or produces songs for another artist without writing his name on that song’s credit. Just his family and his friends know about him and his personality while all of his info on his social network’s account had deleted by himself. |
