Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Ometra | Ometra is a Lugano-based music project offering alternative rock -grunge. Influences include Radiohead, Alice in Chains, and the whole grunge scene with atmospheric overtones in the style of Anathema. In 2017, driven by the desire to start again from the basics, founder Carlo Gervasini (My Stupid Dream, Parole Perse, Doomed Timeline Theory and Beansidhe) starts writing his own songs in the form of 'one man band'. In the recording session he personally takes care of all instruments and vocal parts, accompanied only by the voices of Claudio Lucchini and Giulia Schertler. The first release "Ometra" is in 2019: it gets visibility and a place in the compilation "Confederation Music" managed by Marco Kohler (RSI) with the song "Ahead." This good debut will push the guitarist to believe he can compose better music, with a real band. Thus, in 2020 the writing of new, more dynamic and emotional pieces begins. In 2021, made by a group consisting of Elia Heutschi (drums), Paride Casu (bass), Giulia Schertler and Anastasia Gautschi (vocals), as well as Gervasini on guitars, "We used to look at the stars," recorded and mixed by Stefano Scenini at Stairway Studio in Cimo, sees the light. The work gets further visibility than the previous release and with the track "Crossroads from my Past" OMETRA deservedly returns to feature in the selection of "Confederation Music" . "We used to look at the stars" is an album that helped the project leader accept and embrace the pain, to move forward.... Made in the hope that it will also intercept the feelings of those who have experienced severe suffering during their journey. Choices, the new Album, has been released on April 20th | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Sonia Carré D'As | Sonia Carré d'As began her musical career in Abidjan (Ivory Coast). From 1991 to 1996, she studied music and music theory at the National Institute of Arts and Cultural Action (INSAAC) in Abidjan. Already during this period, she recorded two cassettes, “Carré d'As” (1992) and “Ingratitude” (1996). After that, she returned to Burkina Faso where she was nominated twice for the Kundé d'or prizes (in 2000 and in 2001), she won it in 2001. In the meantime Sonia had already recorded her third album "Tounga", under the guidance of star producer Boncana Maiga. The latter is also responsible for the artist name Sonia Carré d'As, after the title of her very first hit. The album "Tounga" (Tounga means adventure) was only released internationally only in 2002, and it is his only album distributed outside Burkina Faso. The album offers a great variation of styles, starting with the funky title track which changes to Congolese-style sebony (unfortunately too short!). Thereafter, there is "Dji Woyo" in rather Ivorian rhythms as well as an Afro-zouk track "Awou Ye Ben". "Yala Ba" is a Mandinka-sounding song in the style of Boncana Maiga-Ibrahima Sylla, and "Touré" is a strong French song about a man who dates many women and spends a lot of money to enjoy the good life. . The choirs: "...Touré, you have lost your mind..." and further: "the man has lost his mind, the woman has left prison..." surely raged on the dance floors Burkinabe! The song ends with a Congolese sebène, all complete with "atalaku" style animation. In 2007, Sonia released a new album, "N'kanou" which is also distributed digitally internationally. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Midnattsorkestern | Formed 2009 in Gothenburg, Sweden. It was composed by David Löfberg who wrote music and lyrics for a dream ensemble consisting of the singer Elina Ryd, string quartet (Malvakvartetten), guitar, accordion and double bass. The fairly consistent theme of fine-tuned melancholy and night mood in music and lyrics soon gave the orchestra its name. The music is cross-genre, almost a kind of chamber music that borders on show and chanson. Singing and lyrics are central, but at the same time the instrumental is given a large place in the arrangements with winks to tango, jazz, etc., also based on the musicians' different backgrounds. The focus is on the melodies. Over the years, the orchestra has made about a hundred performances in a variety of contexts (see performance history) and received a great response from a large and wide audience. In the autumn of 2014, Midnattsorkestern released the full-length album "Over the City Roof - Songs by David Löfberg" on the company Kakafon. The album was very well received in the press and has been played extensively on the radio. In 2016, Midnattsorkestern tried a collaboration for the first time when a string orchestra, Camerata Gothia, temporarily had to shoulder the role of the string quartet with a large ensemble as a result. This worked very well and is something we would like to do again with more ensembles of different kinds, amateur or professional. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | The Feelings Hijackers | The Feelings Hijackers is a duo comprised of Chris Ballew ( front man for The Presidents of the United States of America ) and alternative hip-hop artist Mike "Outtasite" Singleton. The two artists first met during a short lived collaboration called "Subset", a super group teaming The Presidents, and the also multi-platinum Sir Mix-A-Lot. Outtasite (also Mix-A-Lot's protégé) was featuring on the Subset track "What The Hell" and joined Subset for all live shows. During a tour of the west coast, the future duo discovered that there was a lot of musical common ground to be explored. That exploring began in 2004 cutting demos in Chris Ballew's home studio. By the time 1 song turned into 10, Ballew had named this new duo "The Feelings Hijackers" mostly due to the strong mood music quality of the material, and the art of taking, cutting, and pasting from unfinished ideas. During this time the duo released two short run albums "T.F.H." in 2005 and "Skeletal Remains" in 2007. After a lengthy lay off, The Feelings Hijackers partnered up with Magmata Records / Magmata Studios to release the 21 song album aptly titled "SupeRecord" in 2011. Complete with supporting music video's, this album contains a combination of new & unreleased material, and previously released re-mastered favorites. This band was formed in a concept where the feelings of existing songs are hijacked and transformed into TFH songs. Traditionally they will strip the drums from a song and re-do them. Once this done then the main track is taken out and replaced with something that fits well with what's already been replaced. | |

Their debut album 'Annunaki' was released on Black Widow Records in 2017, consisting of unusual spaced-out material over the course of more than 100 minutes playing time. This is art influencing art influencing art, namely Hawkwind’s influence on Acid Mother’s Temple then influencing Chromium Hawk Machine, forming the new Space Rock music for the intrepid listener. The band reinvent a sound mass of sax, synths, guitar, bass, drums, and some processed voices without form, add some rhythmic chanting and a motorik beat emerges from this sonic sound and of course sax noodling on force. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Leonid Sabaneev | Леонид Леонидович Сабанеев [Leonid Leonidovich Sabaneyev] | Born: 1881-10-01 (Moscow, Russia) Died: June 03, 1968 (Antibes, France) Leonid Sabaneev was a Russian musicologist, music critic, composer and scientist. Leonid Sabaneev [preferable & more common form is 'Sabaneyev'] was a Russian composer, musicologist, music critic & scientist. Son of a prominent naturalist & hunting/fishing expert, he studied mathematics, physics & natural sciences at the Moscow University while additionally attending historical/philological courses. Also, he was able to receive a high-class musical education, with some of the best teachers around (e.g. [a= Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov], among others). By 1920s he became a famous – if rather scandalous & (self-)contradictory - music critic; as well as a music theorist, both highly innovative & inconsistent. A colourful & eccentric person, he was a close friend of [a= Alexander Scriabine] & a good acquaintance of many significant (musical or not) figures of the era, impressions of which relations later finding themselves in print in his highly acclaimed memoirs. However, almost throughout his life, regularly though not exactly prolifically, he has been writing his own music – beginning at the turn of the 20th century & ending (obviously/mostly) somewhere in 1940s. He finished orchestration score for a grandiose oratorio 'The Revelation of St. John' (aka simply 'Apocalypse'), high-demanding & time-devouring on the author's part, in 1940; still, according to reports, he continued working at the opus until his last years. The score is believed to be entombed up to this day in some US archives, unpublished. Yielding to looming shadows of dreadful changes, Sabaneyev left Russia in 1926 & relocated to Paris where he was still engaged in busy & diverse music-related activities (composed/staged a ballet; published a good book on history of Russian music; etc.). Subsequently he dwelled, for limited spells of time, in London & US. During all his time in emigration Sabaneyev never stopped working actively in many authoritative music periodicals; he also wrote music for films. He returned to France, a 'home regained' of Russian emigration, in 1933 where he died in Cap d'Antibes near Nice in October 1st, 1968. Sabaneyev's music – almost inevitably though never too heavily influenced by Scriabin & other late Romantics, was, as a matter of fact, another, divergent, going further & beyond the conventional music conceptions even of those revolutionary times; technically much complex yet unusually brittle in it’s moods, innately bearing some weird ‘romantic’ kind of darkness. It obviously hasn’t struck a chord with his contemporaries, either in Russia or in the West, & has mostly laid in obscurity for many decades, with only some broader-minded &/or rara-avis-catcher performers (like, e.g., [a= Marc-André Hamelin]) trying it out once in a while. In 2012, three daring & already well-experienced musicians has recorded two essential Sabaneyev’s 1920’s piano works - treated with all due care & exactness, rendered with inspirational sincerity, & recorded with top-notch modern quality - in Munich’s BR Studios. Accordingly, a CD (‘Piano Trios’) was issued on GENUIN label which has caused quite a stir & won much acclaim among music connoisseurs’ circles. Three years later a double CD, ‘The Complete Works for Piano Vol. 1’ came from GENUIN, containing a dozen small piano pieces performed by [a= Michael Schäfer (5)], the pianist from the previous recording; it equally & deservedly garnered most positive reviews. Sabaneyev’s one-year elder brother, Boris Sabaneyev ([a= Борис Сабанеев]), who hasn’t survived the Russian Red Revolution, was also a musician: classical organist, organ composer & theorist, and pedagogue. On the 3-figure photo (among those linked to on this page), left to right, are: L. Sabaneyev; A. Scriabin; Tatiana Schloezer (Scriabin's Muse, as also his common-law wife). |

| Search | Add | 3 | Ryan DeMers | Southeast Michigan 19-year-old live and studio guitarist/singer-songwriter splitting his time between Nashville and Metro Detroit. Ryan DeMers grew up in Southeast Michigan with an itch for music. Obsessed with playing all types of guitars, Ryan spent much of his teen years apprenticing with musicians from such locally renowned bands as The Infatuations, Jiva, and the Wells. The focus of heavy fuzz tones and endless sustain also led him to the 80’s rock world, where he listened to and learned from bands such as Van Halen, The Outfield, Guns N Roses, and Pink Floyd. When his sound grew too big for his basement, Ryan took his show on the road, performing as a solo artist; as lead vocalist and guitarist for local band The Monsoons (which, coincidentally, also practiced in his basement); and as a touring guitarist with another artist. He played everything from local hot spots, to house shows and private events, to music festivals such as Electric Forest and LaureLive. During this time, Ryan began to form the guitar playing and vocal styling you hear from him today. He also discovered the arts of songwriting and producing - and a more commercialized sound - with influences from people such as Tyler Bryant and the Shakedowns, Shawn Mendes, Theo Katzman, and John Mayer. Ryan’s music fascination led him from Detroit to Nashville, where he is currently a sophomore music business major/guitar minor at Belmont University. Constantly searching for new musical influences, he has recently discovered the likes of Kacey Musgraves, Ben Rector, the Eagles, and Lori McKenna. You could say he is shaping into a musician truly not defined by a specific genre. When not studying, Ryan plays shows around town, and continues to write the sounds and words he hears in his head constantly. | |
