Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Project Herpes Project Herpes started in 2008 in Fredrikstad, Norway, as a Norwegian punk band. Originally the band started out with texts and themes with pre-pubertal humor, and trying to shock the audience with songs about poop, make-up and hard live shows. The band went through many line-up changes, and changed name to HRPS after releasing an EP with the same name. The EP was originally released as Project Herpes, but was changed when the band changed name and line-up.
Search Add 3 Rev. Benn Schipper Reverend Benn Schipper got his new identity in 2003 by the witness-protection program of the federal buero of privatelektro Deutschland. His career as musician started in 1987 with a musical project called “The Wendish Childrens Of Lucifers Wife” Peace. In 1988 he joined the east-german punk-band “Raving Madness” - after the split he founded in 1989 the straight left and political oriented band “Nachkriegsjugend” - with Tom Gruschwitz (voc) and Olaf Dettinger (g). In late 1989 he started from scratch with the pure experimental band “M”. “M” transformed into a bass-guitar band (3 basses and a drum (computer)) influenced by Velvet Underground, Dinosaur. Jr. and Spacemen 3 and split in summer 1991 after hours of tape recordings and live performances. After this the Reverend founded with the former singer of “Nachkriegsjugend” the band “Riefenstahl”. “Riefenstahl did three releases “Lufthansa”, “Wieland Förster Lieder” and “Riefenstahl III” and extended their activites to an artist group who produced a series of short films, video-installations and books. The 4th release, of a number of “Vogelweide” songs, was never published (two titles appeared as remix in 2006 on Reverend Benn Schippers privatelektro “Pnet 006” release “[album]Dance Music For Shitheads With The YY-Chromosome[/album]”). Schipper joined in 1993 the berlin based “Column One” for some live performances, releases and artworks (“Vis Spei” with Genesis P-Orridge, “The Excellent Listeners” and the soundtrack “Der Unterstand”). In 1995 he renamed “Riefenstahl” into “Call Ov Stihl”. Under a new name he started in 1995 with german media-artist and Privatelektro label-mate “Igor Hax” the band “” - after the split Schipper focused only on media arts and produced in 1997 with Tilman Schmidt the piece “Dust Bin” for the international awarded multi-media CD-ROM “Dust-D-Bugger”. will be continued…

Search Add 3 The Val-Aires Members: Bill Burkette (Lead Baritone) Don Miller (Baritone) Hugh Geyer (First Tenor) Chuck Blasko (Second Tenor) Neil Foster The story began in 1958 at Turtle Creek High School. There were at least four different vocal harmony groups in school, whose members would sing at assemblies or on the street corner. Two groups joined forces - three fellows came from one group, two fellows from the other group. From one group came Burkette, first tenor Hugh Geyer and bass vocal Don Miller. The other group consisted of second tenor Chuck Blasko and another vocalist, Neil Foster. After rehearsing and getting their vocal harmonies to meld properly, they named themselves the Val-Aires and impressed a local producer, Elmer Willett, who later became their manager. Willett produced the Val-Aires' first release, "Which One Will It Be / Laurie My Love" (Willett 114), and it sold enough copies in Allegheny County that in Coral Records picked it up for national distribution (Coral 62177). 'Which One Will It Be' was just a regional hit, but The Val-Aires then picked up a supporter when the top rock and roll DJ in Pittsburgh, Porky Chedwick, added the group to the rock and roll shows and record hops that his station promoted. After high school, a couple of the guys got drafted and went into the service, then came out of the service and we got back together again. they did shows with the Drifters, the Platters, the Dells, groups like that when they came into town. Before the Val-Aires could have another hit, Hugh Geyer and Don Miller joined the Army, while the other band members went to college or found jobs in the factories surrounding Turtle Creek. A few years later, the five friends decided to record again. Bill Burkette, Don Miller, Hugh Geyer and Chuck Blasko became the Vogues.

Search Add 3 Guasinca Zuliana "Guasinca", as it was first called, was formed under a discipline coming from the school of Padre Vílchez, "Los Zagalines", since its creators came from that gaitera chair; they were the brothers Quiroz, Erick and Enrique, to whom their friend Jorge Medina suggests that they put that name to the group, an appellation that means aguardiente in Guajira language. At the start they had to bring a group of gaiteros imported from Zulia; among those who were, at that time, with the virtuoso guitarist Elvis Cano "Cuchillo", on the piano, Jesús "Chuchi" Bermúdez, soloist, Melvin Bucoth "Corrientazo" and Alfredo Solarte on the drums, on the charrasca el popular " Pylon". It also had the participation of good musicians from Caracas including Tony Torrealba in the tambora, Franklin Torrealba in the charrasca, Raúl Sánchez and Leonardo Toro, soloists, Elvis Hernández in the congas and others. It was quite difficult to start in 1984, since they did not have the resources and equipment necessary to stay afloat.

Search Add 3 SKUNgK Rap-Metal band from Buffalo, NY formed in February of 1997 and parted ways in 2001. Formed in February of 1997, Skungk immediately rose to the top of their local scene in Buffalo, NY. They quickly earned a reputation with promoters and press as an energetic, emotional, down-to-earth band with ample draw. By June of 1997 they had already released a self-titled debut CD and were headlining sold-out local shows, as well as opening for national acts that came through town. Having proved themselves on stage with bands like Incubus (Immortal Records), and Bloodlet (Victory Records) in their own hometown, Skungk shot out on the road. By 1998 they had sold 1,000 copies of their self-produced debut and logged countless shows in cities all over the Northeast. Through their tireless efforts and touring, Skungk has gained an impressive fan base in their own hometown, as well as cities they travel to. They were recently awarded "Best Hardcore Band of 1999 and 2000" in both the Buffalo Beat Magazine Readers Poll and the Buffalo radio station WBNY Listeners Poll. "We do not claim to be a hardcore band," says Skungk, "We merely contain certain elements of hardcore." Whatever you call them, the five members of Skungk add up to a serious assault on the senses. The band is again generating attention with their second release entitled “Status Symbol”, another self-produced CD showing more maturity and attention to detail. In fact, Skungk has generated so much attention that they have recently shared the stage with national acts like Static X (Warner Brothers), Taproot (Atlantic), Slaves on Dope (Divine), Papa Roach, Goldfinger, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Buried Alive (Victory Records), and One Minute Silence (V2 Records). The self-released, second EP further showcases the band’s strength as songwriters without losing any of the gritty edge found on their debut EP. “Status Symbol” is original, honest, and diverse. Once again Skungk has managed to deliver something a little different in an often overpopulated genre.

Search Add 3 جرمانوس شحادة Metropolitan Germanos (Shehadi) of Zahle and Baalbek was a hierarch of the Church of Antioch who attempted to become the successor to Bishop Raphael of Brooklyn as leader of the Syro-Antiochian parishes in North America after the saint's death. Met Germanos had come to America in 1910s as a visitor, raising funds for an agricultural school in his archdiocese in what is today Lebanon. Metropolitan Germanos Shehadi of Zahle was a diocesan bishop in the Lebanon area of Syria in the second decade of the twentieth century who, before Bishop Raphael died in 1915, came to the United States of America to raise funds for an agricultural school in his own diocese of Zahle. Zahle is a mostly Christian area in today's Lebanon with primarily an agricultural economy. After St. Raphael's death, Metr. Germanos remained in America and campaigned to become his successor as the leader of the Syro-Antiochian parishes in America, claiming to be the representative of the Patriarch of Antioch. Those who wanted to be under the jurisdiction of the Church of Antioch formed parishes under Metr. Germanos, and he eventually formed his own rogue diocese in 1916 This group became the basis of the later split in the Syro-Antiochian mission. Metr. Germanos remained in America despite many orders from the Antiochian synod in Damascus calling on him to return to shepherd his own diocese of Zahle. Much of Germanos' success amongst the Syro-Antiochians was based not only on his fine singing voice and great charisma, but also because he was well known and related to many clergy and parishioners from the Zahle region. As a result, many of the parishes that followed Germanos eventually became part of the Antiochian Archdiocese of Toledo, Ohio under Metr. Samuel David, who also was from Zahle. In 1919, Metr. Germanos also supported the establishment of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada by acting as their temporary bishop at the UOCC sobor of November 27, 1919. Metr. Germanos finally returned to his own diocese in, then, Syria in 1933. April 7, 1934, Metropolitan Germanos Shehadi died in Beirut.

Kevin was separated from the band due to problems between the members and immediately the Coello brothers (one of them, guitarist of G.O.E.) moved into the void that did not last for long, that they left the group on their own. Christian Nieto (69 seconds) was the replacement, one of the most important members that the band has had the first guitar, time where songs like "A special place", "Someone", "Beyond" were born, and at that moment They decided to record their first demo between 1999 and 2000 called "Without Knowing where to go ...". Nieto was separated from the group, at that moment Iván Casanova (69 seconds) and Andrés Parreño (Never Jamás) in different concerts helped for a moment on the bass. They received a call from Christian Guillén (Bass) who had just played with the group Rek and without thinking much he was a person to everyone's liking and is currently the new member of "SK-Van" with which they left to play outside the country and soon they will release their first album with a Colombian label "2 Many Records". They have a style of melodic punk category, combine the Emo and fast rhythms in their songs, their lyrics mostly deal with experiences that are marked in the memories of people and how to overcome them when they are negative.

Search Add 3 Sacripolitical Sacripolitical (1983 – 1993; 2019 - present) is a punk rock band from Marin County, CA. The name Sarcipolitical is a reference to the band members’ attitude toward politics. Just as a person who is sacrilegious is irreverent toward the sacred, Sacripolitical plays songs, like “Peace: Under our Supervision,” “The Nihilist Void,” and “Napalm Baby” that are politically and philosophically irreverent. During the 1980s, Sacripolitical played parties, underground shows in warehouses, in barns, and on the bill with other bands like Ludoviko Technique, The Pukes, Complete Disorder, Fang, Frightwig, and Camper Van Beethoven. In Marin they played at The Sleeping Lady, The Flashback, The Novato Theater, and The Warehouse. In San Francisco, they performed at the 6th St. Rendevous, Club Chameleon, Club Foot, and other venues. Some shows ended in philosophical conversation; some ended in near riots! They made a lot of friends, a lot of enemies, and had a lot of fun. In 2019, Sacripolitical reunited, playing parties and shows at College of Marin and The Makeout Room before the pandemic hit. They have used their shelter-in-place time to record new songs that are sure to annoy a whole new generation of listeners.
