Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024

Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Plastik Kettle Alessandro Pintus & Corrado Caocci Alessandro Pintus and Corrado Caocci first met each other in Cagliari (Sardinia) respectively at the age of 17 and 15, at a private party as deejays. They immediately began an ever-intensifying collaboration, oriented towards the experimenting with sounds and melodies in exclusively electronic contexts, up until the creation of the project PLaSTiK KeTTLe, inspired by the universe of robots and the passion for the synth. Within this "plastic-kettle" electro-rhythms are mixed to ambient- textures, vocoders and glitch sounds which, heated by the oscillators of the synths, produce those landscaped images which can exist only in a harmonic world of music and individuals.

They eventually multiplied and evolved into giant winged creatures, sometimes resembling gargoyles, sometimes angels. Never willing to conform or compromise, they survived on their sole primal instinct of sleep, occasionally dreaming. Sadly, Dreklings met their demise in 2003 at the height of their evolution, having just grown tentacles and the developed the ability to emit a fear toxin from the slits in their wrists.

Search Add 2 Kreech Bert van de Weijer Bert van de Weijer, better known under the alias 'Kreech', is a 20 year old house producer from Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Even though having only just started, there is much to look forward to from this young talent. His combination of funky acoustic elements with a rolling groove, supported by heavy basses makes for an indescribable, new style ranging from smooth, deep tunes to hard and rough bangers that make the club tremble. Ever since releasing his first tune "Dreamy" in 2020 he has been making a name for himself in the Deep Tech House scene, showing a wide range of tracks

Search Add 2 Serial Cut™ Serial Cut™ [A=Serial Cut™] is a Madrid based studio, established in 1999 by Sergio del Puerto, working on a wide variety of worldwide projects, but focussing mainly on Art Direction. A growing team: Serial Cut works alongside an ever-growing team of professionals, who specialize in different areas such as photography, design, motion-graphics and 3D design. Depending on the nature of a given project, different collaborators are chosen to give each piece a new dimension. Versatile projects: Big and small companies from arts and culture, fashion or entertainment industries are our primary clients; for each new project from a given client, we like to change the look and feel of the design. Type reinforces the concept Image and type are a great combination that we like to use on all the projects we work on. Typography plays an important role in the end product. Visual culture: Inspiration comes from current and past decades, but we always review it and renew it, bringing it into today's perspective with an actual look. Surpass expectations Our aim is to go beyond what's in our minds and in our clients' minds when we start a project, to take the challenge a little further both in terms of technique and of concept, and to always end up with a contemporary and fresh result.
