Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | DJ Avionics | Israel Martinez Villegas | The real name of DJ Avionics (not to be confused with the Russian dj "Avionics Project" is Israel Martinez V. In Latin America he is currently the only one composer, writer, interpreter and producer of the trance variant "Dream-Traxx" (euro-trance + hard-trance). It is also one of the very few producers who still uses hardware synthesis to make music. Israel Martinez V. was born on May 3, 1988 in a city in the Argentine Patagonia, Rio Gallegos, province of Santa Cruz. His introduction to the field of electronic technology began around the age of 6 years, when he concentrated great interest in all kinds of electronic elements, also conducting small experiments with various components of this type. Years later around 1997, at around 9, the first waves of electronic music reached his ears. Since then he has gone through various styles, genres and electronic subgenres or DJs such as Reflex, Deró, Mauro Picotto, Fragma, Paul Van Dyk, ATB, among others. On one occasion, listening to a set or DJ Mix broadcast through the local FM radio station "Vida 93.5 MHz" and played by a well-known and great DJ from southern Argentina; Doctor Creiciu (Luis Verdun), DJ Avionics was in some way very amazed or amazed by what is currently according to his consideration, the most evolved style of electronic music, the Dream-Traxx. This was reason enough to explore the Internet intensively for several weeks, until a certain day had the opportunity to hear a wonderful production of his favorite style and genre, within a website dedicated to trance; "Balearic Bill - Destination Sunshine (Original Mix)". That electronic theme marked in DJ Avionics the total definition of his primary trance style; the Dream-Traxx. Notwithstanding the first track At the age of 13, using an old PC and a MIDI cable, he began an in-depth research on how to create electronic music with professional quality. At 15 his experience in electronic and mechanical technology had increased significantly, which allowed him to design and build his own and first mixer console 2 channels with the odd circuit equalizer. After this he continued to build prototypes of various sound systems such as baffles, speakers, sound filters, amplifiers, etc. Finally at age 16 Israel Martinez V. was able to acquire its first production tool, a basic synthesizer keyboard specially designed for DJs producers. At that point I had hit a great international DJ, with some great Dream-traxx remixes; Ferry Corsten. But considerable time elapsed until he was able to obtain all the basic equipment. At the end of 2004, still 16 years old, he recorded his first musical artistic production on CD-DA. 15 years later in 2019 he is still producing the same genre nowadays known as "oldskool" trance. |

| Search | Add | 2 | גלית אטלס | Born September 12, 1971. Retired Israeli rock singer. Started her career in 1998 after recording an album under [a80616]'s production. One single from it, called "אחד קטן" (Ekhad Katan = One Little), which featured poet Efrat Mishori as a guest, was oficially released, but failed to get into the charts and the album went unreleased. Nevertheless, she continued her work with Lider and sang backing vocals on his second album, which was released in 1999. In 2000, she began working on a new album without Lider's involvement called "ולהיפך" (U'lehefekh = And The Opposite). It was one of the first female Israeli rock albums to be released in the beginning of the 00's, and while it wasn't a commercial success, it gained positive reviews and was fairly played in radio stations. The album also included the song "בוא נעבור" (Bo Na'avor = Let's Pass), which was a remnant from the unreleased 1998 album. Today, she lives in the USA and internationally known in favor of her work as a psychoanalyst. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | The It Men | The history of rock n’ roll might be one of those paths leading to hell -- a famous hell, where the Devil has the best tunes -- and where the paving stones are seldom built from good intentions. Rock n’ roll is show biz. Its lovers come for the big lights, and big names. It’s full of the deluded, the egomaniacal, the suckers and the stubborn. But can rock n’ roll be based purely on friendship? That doesn‘t count in the big time, you say. But if rock n’ roll is today’s folk music, then folk music is whatever folks want it to be, right? And if people want it to be about friendship, then let it be so. For friendship is greater than those rock n’ roll daydreams and knickknacks. The musical moments we all share as fans is what really makes this music come to life. The It*Men are music lovers, but also friends. That makes this band very important to them. And when one of these friends is terminally ill, that makes the band even more important to not just the It*Men themselves, but to their friends, family, and other loved ones. But why the hell should you care? You’ve probably never met these guys. Friendship is what brought the It*Men into being. At It*Men lead guitarist Matt Cassidy’s wedding bash, his college pal Ken Janssen sang along to a Pulp tune during karaoke. Ken couldn’t sing, but was smart, funny, and could go from obnoxious to charming (and back again) in the time it takes to down a shot. Matt had plenty of musical ideas that he wasn’t using in his main group, the psych-rock band New Planet Trampoline. Other wedding attendees, such as Ben Gmetro, leader of “cosmic cowboy” band The Dreadful Yawns was in the same situation. These tunes were three or four-chord jams, big on volume but not terribly, let’s say, “sophistication”. Perhaps what these caveman chords needed was a character like Ken to beef them up while playing the ham. So Ben and Matt grabbed Ken, their friends/bandmates Charlie Druesedow and Dave Molnar (drums and bass, respectively), and created the It*Men. They also made sure to grab a lot of alcohol. Unlike New Planet Trampoline and The Dreadful Yawns, who were heavily engaged in the business of writing, recording, and touring, the It*Men were supposed to be a boozy poker-night activity where the bar was low but the beers were full. So there were no real worries when Ken clammed up during a run-through of the It*Men’s first tune, “Baby I’m Your Man”. During the first It*Men show, so terrified was Ken that he drunkenly lay in the parking lot of the Beachland Ballroom as the band played on stage. Again, these antics were laughed off. After a few gigs, Ken worked with his stage fright. He’d get scared, then get wasted, and then hit the stage like some Jack Black-ified maniac. Ken got both band and crowd fired up. Microphones got broken, beer bottles flew through the air, ceiling tiles fell, costumes were put on, and pants came off (not infrequently, it seemed). High art it wasn’t, but it made for some wild and goddamn glorious parties. But how would the It*Men, now one of THE must-see party rock bands in Cleveland, figure out a way to take their drunken antics into the recording studio? They already had a concept album planned out. Taking a cue from This Is Spinal Tap, they created a phony, tongue-in-cheek biography. This whale tale claimed the It*Men were a hit band who, after hitting their zenith in the mid-60s and late70s, dissolved into obscurity. Their album -- entitled Greatest Its -- would be a “greatest hits” album drawn from a totally fake career spanning over several years. This gave the It*Men the leeway to make a universal rock album full of stylistic zigs and zags. Four days and countless beers later, the It*Men finished their debut. Greatest Its starts with a sizzle as “Tell You The Truth” pan-fries an AC/DC intro while searing in some smart-assery: “How can you fuck/when you’re fucked in the head/How can you live/Rock n’ roll is dead”. We then move on to a noisy Motor City-inspired flirtation, “Come And Get Some”, collide with some out-and-out smut with “That’s Not The Way I Heard It”, get downright stupidly brilliant with “Doing Drugs For You” and headlong into a ride on the trippy “Death Machine”. Ken screams, bellows, gargles, coughs, while the rest of the It*Men take every classic garage rock cliché and smush them like cigarette butts into crushed beer cans. The It*Men released Greatest Its, commencing a marathon of shenanigans at Cleveland’s rock bars. Some nights, the band brilliantly held their own while Ken doled out laughs. Other nights, the It*Men just staggered drunkenly. Whatever the case, Clevelanders just lapped it up until one day the well ran dry. Friendships were fraying because some It*Men wanted to concentrate on their original projects; others were just done being part of a high-voltage comedy sketch where the punch line was “…I guess you just had to be there.” Through the passage of time, rough spots between the band members were smoothed over. When Ken was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) 10 years after the demise of the It*Men, the deep friendship that brought the band into being flourished once again. While medical bills were stacking up, Ken was looking for something to get his mind off the illness that was consuming him. The solution was to reform the band, record new tunes for release, and play one final gig, all of which would go to defray Ken’s costs, boost his spirits, and solidify the bond between the members of the It*Men. In June of 2013, the It*Men, their friends, and a who’s who of Cleveland rock vocalists performed Greatest Its in its entirety, along with new songs like the comedic “Bowie Dick Test”. The night turned into a loud and wild celebration of life and love of rock n’ roll that no one who attended will ever forget. So it’s no surprise that a real spirit of fun resides in the grooves of Greatest Its. You’d think a record this good would be a big deal in the rock n’ roll marketplace. One listen to Greatest Its, and it should be your own personal big deal, especially if you love AC/DC, The Stooges, The MC5, and any number of long-gone garage band. But more importantly, this record is a big deal to the It*Men. Greatest Its, however, is a big deal among the It*Men, whose joy at making music together gives a real, visceral, and honest OOMPH to the tunes you’ll find on this record. Laugh with them, rock with them, and as soon as you do, share this record with your own fellow rock n’ roll lovers. -Edward Ángel Sotelo - July 2013 | |

He will sometimes spend more than 10 hours nonstop broadcasting his program “3R” (Rock, Reggae, Rap), where for the first time MASSIVE ATTACK’s single will be played, without even knowing it he takes part in their promotion… In the middle of the 1990s, he arrives in France. He discovers the first rave parties and the first underground clubs in town. After a while, he obtains two residences in Strasbourg, European capital. On weekends he is at the Elastic, the most famous bar club with its “Anarchic Sound System” events; and on week nights he is mixing at the BEST COFFEE SHOP. His playlist includes trip hop, dub, jungle, big beat, house music. In 1997, he organizes the first official « cyber jungle » night in one of the most famous French concert venues, « La Laiterie ». Later on, he will open for numerous big acts such as:Laurent Garnier, Roni Size, dj Krush, Saul Williams, Howie B, LTJ BUKEM, Jay-Jay Johanson, in the meantime he will also make promo nights for MOWAX, NINJA TUNE.This enables him to release his first compilation “JAM EXPORT” on his “DRUMAAX” label. He will discreetly participate in the release of the maxi (bootleg) “DAFT PUNK & OIZO/REAL 2 REAL”, which will be an enormous hit in clubs. In 1998, for the FIFA World Cup, he sets up an improvised sound system on one of the most renowned squares of the European capital (Gayot). And to conclude the millennium, he is in Paris Bercy as to opening act for “JAMIROQUAI” (oct99). In the coming years he discovers DETROIT USA, where he will briefly meet Kevin Saunderson and Derrick May during a private party of the DMEF festival in 2001. In parallel, he will produce pieces of music under various pseudonyms for the producer Jordan Fields from Chicago. In the United States, one of the pieces of his compilation will be played continuously for several weeks on the YOUNG & RUBICAM website, one of the largest communication companies based in NEW YORK. In the European capital, he starts a small club, “REC STATION”. The project ends on September 11, 2001.In 2005, he mixes for the COUNCIL OF EUROPE and the European Orchestras Forum (at Strasbourg’s Museum of Contemporary Art). In the same year he organizes, together with a musicologist (Ms. Deparnay),a conference on the subject of ELECTRONIC MUSIC at the musicology faculty of the University of Strasbourg. | Search | Add | 2 | The 5 Rising Sons | Canadian band from Burlington, Ontario. Originally formed in 1964 under the name The Rising Sons with lineup of Ron Canning (lead and rhythm guitar, vocals), Mike Kotur (lead and rhythm guitar, vocals), Pete Davidson (organ, vocals), Dave Best (bass), and Robin McMillan (drums). After a successful show at McMillan's father's Ford dealership in the summer of 1965 they were signed by [l=Columbia Records Of Canada, Ltd.] In 1966 they changed names to The 5 Rising Sons to avoid confusion with a U.S. band of the same name. That same year Pete Davidson left to attend university in the U.K. and in September was replaced by Bruce Ley on organ. In 1968 the band changed labels from Columbia to [l=Yorkville], who had them change their name to The Willapuss Wallapuss. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | The New Weather Machine | Hailing from the prairies of southern Alberta, Canada, The New Weather Machine is a four-piece indie/alternative rock band led by singer, songwriter, and lead guitar player Jon Martin. The band’s sound combines jangly guitars, concise guitar leads, analogue synthesizers, and big drums to evoke the spirit of mid-70s coastal rock and early 90s alternative. Jon brings a wealth of studio mastery and experience gained from producing rock, country, classical, and indie records for other artists to explore the potential of the modern studio, while maintaining an organic approach to performance and sound creation. The band was formed as Jon’s studio project in 2008, releasing their eponymous debut album in 2009. Performed extensively across western Canada, they released the November ’09 Basement Demos EP in 2009, and the November Basement Demos 2010 EP in 2010. The band went on hiatus in 2014 while Jon focused on electroacoustic composition and completed his Master of Music degree. The sophomore album, Seas of Dawn – released September 15th, 2017 – features legendary studio drummer Kenny Aronoff and was produced by Jon Martin. The band is currently working on the follow-up record, Nothing Comes Between Us (to be released early 2018). | |

| Search | Add | 2 | The California Feet Warmers | Lovers of ragtime, stompy blues and hot jazz, The California Feetwarmers are renowned for an earthy depth of character that sets them apart from others who have followed that throwback path to New Orleans, Circa 1920. Their boisterous on-stage presence is solidly underpinned by playing that is as close to the source as it can be. This is the band that Keb’ Mo’ sought out to provide an air of authenticity when he recorded his latest album, BluesAmericana. The collaboration won them a Grammy-nomination in the Best American Roots Performance category. Based in Los Angeles, they stylishly cultivate and re-work old classics, re-visiting material from The Blue Ridge Playboys, Scott Joplin, The Memphis Jugband and Emile Grimshaw’s Rag Pickers. When Keb’ Mo’ grabbed them to provide the right feel for the track that has won them so much attention, he did so as he wanted it to be “a joyous thing – a party,” he told The Wall Street Journal in a recent interview. …Now couldn’t we all do with a bit of that in our lives right now! | Search | Add | 2 | Gary Luck | Australian musician and singer-songwriter, based in Canberra, ACT. Gary is on the Board of Directors of the Australian Songwriters Association, a writer/member of APRA/AMCOS, and holds a PPCA licence. He is also Managing Director of [a11716565] Gary has been playing guitar and writing songs ever since hearing the famous Canadian folk song, ‘Four Strong Winds’ outside his old home town of Melbourne in the early 60s. He has appeared on Melbourne television and has written a short play, with music, featuring incidents in the life and times of Gordon Lightfoot which led to two of Lightfoot’s biggest hits. Gary met Gordon Lightfoot after a show at the Sun Theatre in Anaheim, California and spent half an hour talking him into one more tour of Australia. Sadly when the tour could not go ahead due to Lightfoot’s ill health Gary decided that the next best thing was to put together a tribute show in honour of the man and his music and take it to Australian audiences. And so Gary formed The Lightfeet Band and (almost twenty years later) presented and performed ‘Sundown-The Gordon Lightfoot Story’. Gary has been playing Lightfoot songs for over forty years as a solo artist or in various cover bands in and around Canberra (such as Southern Exposure and No Fixed Address) along with a few of his own originals. He has toured with Ross Ryan (I Am Pegasus) and several artists from the United States. Gary has also played in various parts of South East Asia where he translated Ralph McTell’s biggest hit “The Streets of London” into Indonesian, in the United States and has performed his own single ‘Blood On the Frangipani’, a song about the bombing of Darwin on national radio, live at the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne and in the Northern Territory Parliament House during the annual commemorations of the bombing in Darwin on the 19th February each year. When not touring he is currently working on his own album entitled ‘Imaginary Postcards - The Old Tobacco Tin.’ Gary is also an actor, voice actor, writer and director with over forty years experience in the entertainment industry. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Anthony Riddell | Anthony Riddell | Originally from Adelaide, Riddell moved to Sydney in the early 1980s where he connected with a lively underground scene of artists, punks and other experimenters. His early band Nada shared stages with the likes of The Laughing Clowns, The Triffids, Jon Rose, Fetus Productions, God Meat God, Carnival Headgash, Browning Mummery and more. Then, in 1985 Riddell suffered a life-altering accident. Falling through the roof of a Redfern squat, he sustained serious brain injuries that would permanently affect his balance, speech and movement. Riddell’s remarkable artistic works since that moment bear the mark of, and also self-consciously confront, what he has called the “fingerprints on the surface of the brain”. Following studies at the Sydney College of the Arts in the late 1980s, making ‘monstrous’ sculptures in clay and concrete, Riddell moved on to Melbourne. In 1991 he formed the group Volvox, with Dave Taskas of legendary punks Grong Grong and noise artist Glenn Normann. Operating as the project’s frontman (under the pseudonym Lester Vat), Riddell delivered extraordinary and profoundly influential performances — his aggressive physical impropriety and neurologically-disordered vocals sat alongside other lyrical interventions, simultaneously absurd, yet strangely elegant. Beyond musical performance, Riddell developed a prodigious writing and drawing practice, which he continued following Volvox’s dissolution in the mid-1990s, generating countless artist books, many published on his own imprint Meniscus. His texts — typically hand-drafted in miniscule barely-legible cursive script, and later transcribed to computer — narrate uncanny and irrational stories marked by surrealist wordplay. Riddell’s illustrations manifest as fine line-drawings and cartoons using felt-tip pen on art paper, and typically depict anthropomorphised organisms, animals and brains in various states of relation. |
