Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

His paintings are strange and symbolic, somehow uniting sacred geometry, cartoonish images, and nature. For Gaynor, music is his biggest inspiration as an artist and he's done several album covers for legendary Austin indie rockers, White Denim. |

Inspired by the Italo House / Eurodance genres from the late 80s & early 90s, Andrew Russet has developed an own and unique way of producing Piano House with a remarkable energy, classic Korg M1 piano riffs, heavily-sidechained synths, filters, phasers and more, all combined with some very cleverly merged samples. Artists & producers such as Pierre Feroldi, Lee Marrow, 49ers and others have been a huge inspiration source for the Andrew Russet production team, helping them develop their own music style. The result is a revival of the golden era of Italo House but with a new and original nowadays' approach. |

Search | Add | 6 | 30OT6 | Band from Columbus, Ohio Members: Derrick Zajac - Guitar Brent Billet - Vocals Sean Miller - Bass Tim Dillard - Drums Bio: Based in Columbus, Ohio Thirty Ought Six is an innovative, hard-hitting, groove oriented rock band with high focus on melodies. Their well written songs come together naturally, as if they were writing themselves. This is a true statement to the chemistry between the 4 members, who have come together with like minds to create great music, and share it with the masses. Their defiance against musical genres has actually become the band's style, blending pure rock aggression with texture and sound-scapes of sonic melody. Thankful that the four were brought together, they all shared the same feeling that it was somehow meant to be for a reason. They quickly became close friends, each feeling as though they had grown up together. Their musical chemistry and each other bringing different influences and approaches, seems to blend in a way that makes their song writing and music an irresistible experience to behold. The four did not waste any time as they brought Tim up to speed on some previously existing ideas, adding his unique style completed the material. After a few months, they had written an arsenal of commercially viable yet hard hitting new songs. Setting goals are priority for the band, as they started with the behind the scenes work; copyrighting, promo packs, website, and finding the resources to record and release their first EP, during which they also found time to book and play shows on a regular basis. Their hard work had finally paid off, as they entered the John Schwab Recording studio in Columbus, with engineer Joe "Neo" Viers to record their 7 song EP, self titled: "Thirty Ought Six". Here starts the next chapter for the four, where they have to work hard for that once in a lifetime opportunity. They are focused to keep steady the determination to bring their high energy sonic message to the masses, that are unaware that their favorite CD will have Thirty Ought Six written all over it.

Personally, he takes pride in his multi-talented characteristic as a lyricist by providing the audience with an entertaining way to relate to his music. Rapping since the age of 13, Raw Resse learned to be versatile and independent when it came to creating music. His daughter has been the primary means of inspiration to continue to achieve new goals. Hard times, and being targeted by other rappers, have motivated him to become the better of the best rappers working. He has performed in various clubs, cities and events from the Midwest to the South and currently working his way throughout the entire country, leaving no door closed or spot untouched by his abilities. His rapping style can leave an audience guessing of what is to come next, in an almost suspensful way. Raw Resse will let anyone know one thing: "My lyrical style is Raw-nificent...meaning THE BEST...unlike anything else." With that being said, the BEST is yet to come. |

At 15 he taught himself to play the organ, transposing what he knew from the Accordion -- with the help and inspiration of Lenny Dee records. At 17 he went directly to St Petersburg Florida, where Lenny Dee was performing at the Desert Ranch Beach Resort. The rest, as they say, is history. |

Search | Add | 6 | The Soots | The Soots were, to all intent and purpose, a result of musical collaborations which revolved around the early work of Frank Zappa and Don Vliet - both of whom had been connected via their attendance at Antelope Valley's seats of learning. It was here that Vliet had been coaxed into his first known vocal work, a 'field recording' of "Lost In A Whirlpool" with Frank Zappa, his brother Bobby and a class tutor. A rather avant-garde number in which the boy (like a dead pet goldfish) is flushed down the toilet by his girlfriend and comes face-to-face with a large brown eyeless fish. The band referred to as "The Soots" existed in the early to mid 1960's. The period during which Zappa was residing in Paul Buff's PAL Studio in Cucamonga, then finally purchasing it in the summer of 1964 and officially turning it into 'Studio Z'. Vliet would drop by on his Helms Bread truck delivery route and hang out with the various musicians at the studio. Don Vliet had yet to officially adopt the lyric-writing nom de plume of "Don Van Vliet" and the persona of "Captain Beefheart" on a recording. Zappa, meanwhile, was busy developing concepts that would get his work a contract, one of which was a tentative 'operetta' entitled "Captain Beefheart & The Grunt People". The script of this being inspired from the germ of Vliet's nickname Beefheart and Vliet's family, 'Marvel' comics, TV sci-fi and America's growing fascination in space exploration. Such inspirations led to The Soots recording of "Metal Man Has Won His Wings" and other recordings in the given period. Some can be found on Zappa issues, such as "The Lost Episodes" or "Mystery Disc" [on which "The Birth Of Captain Beefheart" can be found] or on several unofficial recordings.

Later, being attracted by the Kirana style of Khansaheb Abdul Karim Khan, he became a devout disciple of Pandit Balkrishnabua Kapileshwari, a direct disciple of the Late Khansaheb Abdul Karim Khan. Possessing a rich sonorous voice with tremendous depth of feeling and understanding of the Ragas, his devotion and dedication and his purity of style in the development of the Raga, he participated in many a concerts and attained fame all over India.
