Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 6 | Len Henry | LEN HENRY Born: July 6, 1943 - Boggy Creek, Manitoba, CANADA Raised in a musical family, Len Henry first performed professionally as a member of the group Burt Todd & The Firestrings, which later evolved into The Mystics, a band that played largely on the Winnipeg, Manitoba, bar scene. Len Henry then teamed-up with younger brother Harvey Henry to form The Henry Brothers Band, after which both brothers pursued solo careers in country music, with Len Henry forming the band Len Henry And Good Company. In the late 1970's Len Henry became a favourite with the late Elizabeth "Ma" Henning, owner operator of the famed Downs Motor Hotel in Winnipeg, as well as the Downs Records Company. As Executive Producer "Ma Henning brought in Nashville's Jack Clements to oversee production of Len Henry's 1978 debut album"Don't Give A Damn Kind Of A Man" (Downs DWNS-1000). The album served up a series of single releases, including the title track (DWNS-100) and the follow-up "She's That Kind Of Woman" b/w "When You're Sad" (DWNS-101). Two other singles from the album were billed as "Len Henry & Good Company", including "Poor Man's Railroad Line" (DWNS-1008) and "Ramblin" (DWNS-110). A second album, "Yesterday's Dreams" (Downs DWNS-81-1001) was released in 1981, this one produced in Winnipeg Studios by Craig Fotheringham. Again, several singles were pulled from the album, including the Barry Brown (of Family Brown) penned tune, "Cold Wind On The Mountain" b/w "Love Has Made A Fool Of Me Again" (DWNS-1001); followed by "Oh My Lady (DWNS-107). The next two singles were released on "Ma" Hennings new record label, Ameri-Can Records, with "What's It Like To Live In Texas" (DH-1001) and "Happy Ever After"(DH-1006), the latter proving to be Len Henry's only national chart showing, peaking at #35 on the RPM Charts in 1983. With the lack of any sustained chart action, Len Henry soon put his recording career on hold. He currently resides in Thorold, Ontario. Len's brother Harvey Henry passed away October 4, 2013 in Roblin, Manitoba. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | John Aue | John Aue is a guitarist and bassist from Australia. Aue was born in Haarlem, the Netherlands and his passion for music was apparent at an early age. He learned to play the piano accordion at 9 years of age and developed an interest in the guitar. He migrated with his family to Adelaide, in 1961. In 1962 he had classical guitar lessons and taught himself some jazz (his favourite music). His first gig was in 1963, at the Wonderland Ballroom: a regular two-nights- a-week gig. This was a great way of learning the standard repertoire and developing his reading skills. During that period he started teaching guitar and took up double bass at school (Norwood Boys Technical High School - now known as Marryatville High School). Here John met [a1572047], his music teacher. Eric went on to become a major force in tertiary music education in South Australia. While in his early twenties, John wrote many jingles for Pepper Studios and Slater Studios and arranged extensively for the [a5033882] (ABC’s Light Entertainment Department). He also sang and arranged for the [a5538797] who recorded fortnightly for ABC radio. He was musical director at Channel 7 in the early 70’s and arranged and played bass for the weekly ‘Barry Ion Show’ and ‘The Penthouse Club’. In early 1976, John left Australia for England and was soon given the opportunity to play guitar, bass and mandolin with the Ballet Rambert, performing in London, England, Scotland, Paris and Yugoslavia (as it was then known). He joined Ray Ellington’s Band in 1978 playing a six nights-a-week residency at London’s The White Elephant on the River (1978-1982) and from 1982 to 1983 at the Hilton Roof Restaurant. John played sessions at: Capital Radio, Lansdowne Studios, and Wembley Studios. He worked with the Allan Ganley Big Band and many other smaller ensembles at the BBC Maida Vale Studios. Highlights include gigs and a BBC radio broadcast with virtuoso fusion guitarist Allan Holdsworth. Another highlight was meeting and playing with guitarist Jim Hall in 1982. John often deputised in The Ronnie Scott Quintet as well as playing with local and overseas jazz artists in Ronnie Scott’s Club. John returned to live in Sydney in 1983 and worked with local and visiting artists. He was bassist for Grace Knight and Marcia Hines during this time. John began his teaching career at the Australian Institute of Music and at Sydney Grammar School. Theatre gigs included Beauty and the Beast and Les Miserable and more. John Aue returned to Adelaide in 1999 and was pleased to continue to play in the local scene and teach arranging and jazz bass at The University of Adelaide. He gained a Masters degree in composition in 2011. John retired from teaching in July 2019 to concentrate on composing, arranging, and furthering his skills on the bass and guitar. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Kozmo Flex | Tariq Nasheed | Rapper/producer/author/documentary film producer from Los Angeles, CA. Tariq A. Nasheed (also known as "King Flex" or "K-Flex") was born on the west side of Detroit, Michigan on July 1st . He is an author, actor, and game counselor. He wrote the New York Times best seller The Art Of Mackin. Tariq moved from Detroit to Birmingham, Alabama in the early 1980s with his mother and grandmother. Due to slow pace and boredom of the social scene he saved money for an airplane ticket which cost $125 and decided to leave Birmingham for Los Angeles, California at age 17. A high school dropout, he was known as an infamous hustler and street legend in the Los Angeles area during the late 90's. It has been rumored that Nasheed was affiliated with the Los Angeles street gang the Crips. Tariq (then known as K-Flex or King Flex) became somewhat of a mediator between rival hustlers at that time. He created dating techniques that were a combination of what he learned from older hustlers and what he learned by reading psychology books. He called these techniques "G.I.C.2" (game, intelligence, and common sense; squared). Nasheed became what he calls a "game advisor," meaning he would teach these G.I.C.2 techniques to men and women on the underground scene. In 1999, Nasheed wrote a book based on his dating techniques called The Art Of Mackin, which has sold over 250,000 copies. The Art Of Mackin laid the foundation for the modern "seduction" industry. His followup book Play Or Be Played (Simon & Schuster) was catered towards women trying to learn "the game." In 2005, he released another book for men called The Mack Within (Penguin), and he appeared on TV shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O'Brian, as well as on MTV, VH1, and BET. Furthermore, Nasheed has a series of radio podcasts covering topics including dating, relationships, and social isssues. He now does sold out lectures and seminars around the country and he has recently released an instructional DVD called Mack Lessons. He has another book geared towards women that will be released in 2008 called The Art Of Golddigging. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Christopher Cash | Fallbrook, California Desc: Born in Pasadena, California in the late fifties, Cash grew up along side rock music. As a boy, he watched The Beatles perform on Ed Sullivan and joined the ranks of their countless fans throughout the turbulent Sixties. Inspired by artists like David Bowie, Neal Young, and Lou Reed, he began playing guitar and writing songs in the early Seventies. After a string of copy bands to develop his performance skills, Cash joined forces with singer/songwriter William Loveless to form an acoustic duo called Akimbo. Freshly out of high school, Akimbo grew amplifiers, added drums and ultimately evolved into The Privates. The Privates enjoyed considerable success during the Eighties playing along side bands such as The Motels, The Plugz, and The Suburban Lawns at many of the popular Los Angeles venues of the day. The Privates signed a deal with a well known production company but fame and fortune never materialized. Buckling under the strain, The Privates broke up as their demo tape was being shopped and before the promise of a European tour could be fulfilled. As it turns out, this too was serendipitous. Dreams of rock stardom were replaced by more profitable endeavors ultimately providing Cash the resources to pursue his art on his own terms. During the Nineties, Cash played in various original groups including The Intelligence, Gadflies, and Wobblewire but career and family were his central focus. In 2004, Cash met producer Joe Ongie and asked him to work with him on his debut album titled Hollywood Mirage. In 2008 Cash released his second album Invisible with the band he had been playing since late in 2006. San Diego producer Jeff Berkley did a nice job helping him make an album he is very proud of. Since 2014, Cash has devoted a good deal of his time to his professional recording studio Sonic-Rocket.com In 2017 Cash formed another band called The Brilliant Deductions, this time with long time pal John Saccoman on bass and backing vocals, friend and Chief Engineer at the Rocket Shea Thompson on keyboards and backing vocals, Lead Guitarist (and Grammy nominee) Jan Bugaiski, and the amazing Dick Winter on drums. This has been a blast and is the foundation forsome of his best work to date. In addition to music, Cash is an accomplished woodworker, artist and holds down a full time job working for a reputable high tech company as a technical support manager. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Romanças | Romanças were one of the most important groups in the Portuguese Folk movement, alongside others such as Vai de Roda or Brigada Victor Jara. The group was formed in 1986 and consisted of Pedro D'Orey (Guitar), Fernando Pereira (Braguesa and Voice), José Barros (Cavaquinho, Braguesa, Mandolin and Voice) and João Ramos (Violin and Flute), all musicians with extensive experience in other projects related to traditional music and beyond. In 1988 they publish their first album entitled "Romanças", which has the most known theme "Salsa Verde". This work already denotes, in the group, an attempt to escape a certain conventionalism installed in other groups of the kind. It is not a group that limits itself to recreating traditional music, but advances to its own compositions; although influenced by traditional music (but also with the assumption of several European Folk influences, mainly Irish). In 1991 they released their second long-term work entitled "Monte da Lua". On this record, the Romanças' effort to leave the corset to which some groups in this area are subject is already more visible. In "Monte da Lua" there are themes like "Salsaparilha", "Trigueirinha", "Monte da Lua", "Xula" and several traditional ones like "Homem Rico", "Saias de S.João" and "D.Varão". The band does several shows in Portugal and even tours in France and Ireland, playing with some of the great names in the European Folk scene, although their elements never really became professional in music, with the exception of Barros. Due to internal differences, José Barros leaves the band and goes to one of the formations of the Ronda dos Quatro Caminhos, at the same time that João Ramos starts to accompany the Quadrilha in live shows, a band of which he will later be a full member. Almost reported as extinct, Romanças will release a third album entitled "Azuldesejo" in which José Salgueiro (ex-Trovante), Fernando Molina, João Luís Lobo and José Carias collaborate. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | TS Brooks | American singer-songwriter based in Berlin. Ask T.S. Brooks, and he'll say his music lies halfway between the city and the country. But he admits to the casual listener it could come across as none of that. Nevertheless he straddles two extremes - that of the noise of anonymity, and the soothing flow of isolation. Admittedly influenced by artists such as Townes Van Zandt, Neil Young, and Lou Reed, Brooks paints pictures that allow the listener to bask in the light of detachment; in a place where you can hear yourself listening. Earlier For some ten years, T.S. Brooks cut his teeth in the American indie-psych band, Minmae. When that was over, Brooks moved to Europe to pursue folk music full time, free of the joys and follies that come with the former. In Berlin he found a thriving acoustic scene, and the city's many basement venues and house shows suited the intimacy of his music, as well as providing a platform for its urgency. Upon arrival, Brooks had just released his first album, 'Tertiary Allotment Is A Delightfulness' on San Francisco, California's Snowstorm Music. In the two years since he has gone on to release 'The Spanish Years', recorded during a month in the outskirts of Barcelona, Spain, and the epic 'Alles Gute', recorded in old Friedrichshain factory in Berlin. Between these two albums, Brooks also recorded a limited edition 12" ep on House of Plenty. His most recent album, album,'Skyhooks', was self-released in 2013. Greywood Records released T.S. Brooks' 'best of...' digital-only album, 'A Network of Flickering Lights (2009-2015)' this year. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | The Soots | The Soots were, to all intent and purpose, a result of musical collaborations which revolved around the early work of Frank Zappa and Don Vliet - both of whom had been connected via their attendance at Antelope Valley's seats of learning. It was here that Vliet had been coaxed into his first known vocal work, a 'field recording' of "Lost In A Whirlpool" with Frank Zappa, his brother Bobby and a class tutor. A rather avant-garde number in which the boy (like a dead pet goldfish) is flushed down the toilet by his girlfriend and comes face-to-face with a large brown eyeless fish. The band referred to as "The Soots" existed in the early to mid 1960's. The period during which Zappa was residing in Paul Buff's PAL Studio in Cucamonga, then finally purchasing it in the summer of 1964 and officially turning it into 'Studio Z'. Vliet would drop by on his Helms Bread truck delivery route and hang out with the various musicians at the studio. Don Vliet had yet to officially adopt the lyric-writing nom de plume of "Don Van Vliet" and the persona of "Captain Beefheart" on a recording. Zappa, meanwhile, was busy developing concepts that would get his work a contract, one of which was a tentative 'operetta' entitled "Captain Beefheart & The Grunt People". The script of this being inspired from the germ of Vliet's nickname Beefheart and Vliet's family, 'Marvel' comics, TV sci-fi and America's growing fascination in space exploration. Such inspirations led to The Soots recording of "Metal Man Has Won His Wings" and other recordings in the given period. Some can be found on Zappa issues, such as "The Lost Episodes" or "Mystery Disc" [on which "The Birth Of Captain Beefheart" can be found] or on several unofficial recordings. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Буря | «BURYA», storm in Ukrainian, came into existence, around 1970 as a four piece band. Until 1979 it has expanded to 7 members, all from the Toronto area. The highly skilled musical talent of BURYA has provided entertainment to audiences of all manner of functions — weddings, dances, bar mitzvahs and festivals. The band is unique in its versatility and arrangements. It is equally at home with waltzes and polkas,as it is with rock, disco, latin and swing. Its music is enjoyed by both young and old. The band likes to play requests and is noted for providing its audiences with an exciting evening of entertainment. Perhaps you may detect a Prairie flavour in the music. Ron Cahute, the leader and accordionist started his musical career at an early age as a drummer in the band of his late father, Maurice Cahute. It was from this experience that Ron acquired a love and appreciation of Ukrainian music of the Prairie Provinces of Canada. This music in the early years of Ukrainian western settlement of Canada was left to develope on its own, almost completely severed from ties with Ukraine and provides an interesting annal in musical history. It is both Ukrainian and Canadian. Although this record has a Prairie flavour, it is not exclusively so. The music it contains includes the variety and talent that is BURYA. 1979 line-up: Ron Cahute – Leader, accordion, bass, organ, synthesizer, vocals Jaroslaw Hryhorsky – violin, viola Len Steciuk – guitar, violin, vocals David Monis – percussion Ron Lutz – saxophone Mike Romanick – clarinet, saxophone Tom Romanick – saxophone | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Alice Detrick | Alice M. Detrick | Alice Detrick, born Alice Mulks and who for a time worked under the name [a=Janece Morgan], was born in Slaterville Springs, NY, on 17 July 1940 to Omar and Emma Mulks. She started performing country and rockabilly music professionally while a student at Ithaca High School, both as a solo artist and with the country band [a=The Tune Twisters (4)] of the Binghamton, NY area, with whom she played and sang regularly on radio stations WINR (Binghamton, NY) and WENE (Endicott, NY). Morgan's big break came at age 16, when she auditioned for [a=Dusty Owens] of the WWVA Jamboree and spent much of the summer of 1956 touring with him. It was Owens who gave her the stage name Janece Morgan, which he said came to him in a dream. Sometime after that tour, she dropped the alias and used her married name [a=Alice Detrick] as a performer and recording artist. She went on as an opening act for tours with [a=Loretta Lynn], [a=Roy Clark], [a=Charley Pride], and [a=The Charlie Daniels Band] and performed with [a=Lynn Anderson] at the Halogaland Country Music Festival in Norway. For 20 years Morgan was known as the “FMCA Sweetheart,” accompanying the Family Motor Coach Association conventions around the United States. In 1985 she was inducted into the New York State Country Music Hall of Fame. As Janece Morgan she recorded several tracks in the 1950s for the label [l=Marlee Record Co.] in Trumansburg, NY, mostly in the country and rockabilly styles. As [a=Alice Detrick], she had several releases including a single on [l=ABC Records]. She died on 22 September 2022 in Montour Falls, NY, at the age of 82. |
