Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Judy Carrier Judy Carrier née Judith Ann Reed Bluegrass singer-songwriter known for her powerful vocals and lead guitar playing. A long-time member of the American Federation of Musicians, Nashville Local 257. Born June 23, 1942 in Ludlow, MA. Died July 30, 2018 in Portland, TN. Judith Ann Reed began playing bluegrass locally as a young teenager with Wynn Fay and the Ridge Runners, later working on Radio WHMP, Northampton, MA. Her future husband and duet partner Vernon “Whitey” Carrier was a member of the band. In addition to playing festivals and clubs in the region, Reed and Carrier played on Clyde Joy’s weekly television show on WMUR, Manchester, NH, for 12 years. In 1980, four years after her husband died, Judy Carrier moved to Nashville. Very shortly afterwards she recorded her critically acclaimed, first solo album "From the Berkshires to the Smokies" at Bobby Osborne’s recording studio. She described her album in a 1996 Bluegrass Unlimited interview as, “mostly songs I had written with the blood, sweat and tears of my life….and love.” Carrier appeared on Nashville’s Carl Tipton television show and fulfilled her lifelong dream of singing on the stage of the Grand Ol’ Opry when she performed on the Grand Ol’ Gospel Hour broadcast on WSM in 1981. In 1986 Judy was invited to play a tour of The Netherlands where she met her second husband and duet partner, Rens Vreeburg. Two years later he joined her in Tennessee where they were married. They were together for 29 years until her death. The couple played the Midnight Jamboree on several occasions, travelled to Europe four times to perform in The Netherlands, Switzerland, The Czech Republic, Austria and Belgium. For six years, the Vreeburgs produced a bluegrass festival, The Dutch Woodpecker Bluegrass Jamboree, on their property northwest of Portland, TN.

Search Add 2 Émile Naud Émile Naud’s amazing musical story begins in the mid-60’s at the St-Pierre Catholic Parish in Shawinigan (Quebec, Canada). Father Émile Naud was in fact a young priest at the parish, and also a musician, flutist and a graduate in Gregorian chant and choir. Along with local friend [a2547800] and a few other musicians, he formed an orchestra/choir and they began performing rhythmic masses in the Shawinigan area. The orchestra enjoyed some local success and they soon landed a short contract with Radio-Canada to become the official musical group for the ‘Lord's Day Masses’ that were presented live on television. These programs were broadcast from the cathedral at Cap-de-la-Madeleine. In 1968, they recorded an obscure rhythmic pop-mass album for [l885311]. By the end of the sixties, Emile Naud decided to pursue his musical career more seriously. He gave up his priesthood, managed to obtain a government grant, and evolved his group into a musical audio-visual project under the name “Champs-Pignons”. Their shows combined music (with rock, psychedelic and progressive tones), and also light effects and slide presentations (à la early Pink Floyd). And so, Les [a3100137] were born, ultimately moving to Laval before recording one of Quebec’s true experimental underground masterpieces, the now highly-coveted [m526892]

Search Add 2 OTMC Ousmane Traoré OTMC is a rapper, music producer, director, videographer, and member of the group Dubmatique. With groupmates DiSoul, and Dj Choice, they are pioneers of the hip-hop scene in Quebec. In 1997, they released "La force de comprendre" which sold 150 000 copies and went platinum in Quebec alone. At the local event to recognize achievements in the music industry called "Le Gala de L'ADISQ", they were the first local hip-hop group to win trophies. Throughout the years, they won "Group of the Year", "Best Rock Alternative Album" (their first year at "Le Gala de L'ADISQ", they didn't have a hip-hop section), and "Best Hip-hop Album" twice. In 1999, they released the self-titled album "Dubmatique", who went gold. In 2001, they separated after their third record "Influences". That year OTMC released the Rap/Rnb compilation "Procès verbal". The song for the single and the video clip is the song is " Zoukin", by Rnb group O.N.E.. The lead singer was a pre-fame Corneille in an early appearance on television and airwaves. In 2006, OTMC released his first solo "Sincérité volontaire", where he takes a melodic musical direction with acoustics instruments. In 2008, a Facebook group with the goal to reunite Dubmatique is created. 50 000 fans joined and it led to the release of their fourth output "Trait d’union". Ever since with his group or solo, OTMC is seen performing, hosting events, directing music videos, and producing music for other artists. In 2019, with Dubmatique, they were the first hip-hop group to win the "Classic song award" at the Socan Gala (an event to celebrate Canadian music that had an important success). Afterward, he launched the music label Yokobok, within that endeavor he produced the album "Business et sentiment 3" by Jeune Rebeu which was released in 2021. Also that year, he was a featured guest on Élage Diouf's release "Wutiko".

Search Add 2 Reality Deformed Black/Death Metal In January 2011 the studio/solo project was founded by Jens. After 8 years of playing guitar, and being in some bands and trying out some musical experiments it was decided to start Reality Deformed as a one man project. After a year of writing and recording there was enough material for a mini CD, but financially it was not yet feasible. In January 2012 writing continued, with a few changes in the musical area, and also, Oane joined the project for vocals and lyrical writing as a try out. After he finished his first track with Jens (“Natures Final Vengeance”) it was such a success that he joined Reality Deformed as a full member. Since then they have been writing new material together. In October 2012 the first Promo was released by the band, featuring 3 tracks. The first two are new material, and the last one earlier work featuring only Jens January 2013 the debut CD Constructing Disloyalty was released after 3 years when the project started. This CD contains 4 tracks and one intro of earlier material where Oane wasn't involved yet.

La famille Casgrain, which is one in the sense of friendship, is the pretext for a group of about ten students to meet, to do musical research, to criticize what is done in the world of entertainment ... At the very beginning, it was a nice joke mounted for an amateur session at collège Sainte-Marie (now l'Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM)). Then, it was no longer quite an opportunity to happily pay the head of the fashionable bands by parodying the successes of the hour.

Search Add 2 Earl Rohlf Organist and teacher. Started playing piano at a young age, his career included solo appearances with Symphony orchestras, honors from the American Conservatory of Music, Chicago, arranging and composing vocal and orchestral groups of all sizes, and years of network radio and TV studio work. It was during his affiliation with the National Broadcasting Co. (NBC) that he learned to play the organ. The instrument he played was a special Wurlitzer three manual pipe organ that was built to Jesse Crawford's specifications for the old RcA Victor Chicago Recording Studios and on which Crawford made his first electrically recorded records. This organ was subsequently purchased by NBC and moved to their Cleveland studios, which is where Earl met up with it.
