Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | The Paradoxical State | The sounds of New York Rapper & Producer Jestoneart. Paradoxical State's music is inspired mostly by old-school 70's dub and Trip Hop with the dark baselines of old-school reggae (rockers), the deep stringy elements of drum and bass and electronica (rollers), the “boom-bap” of reconstructed break-beats, and clever spoken word poetics . These elements were combined to create what PState calls its "signature sound." P.State” consists of lyrical front-man Jestoneart, Esq and his faceless sound-boy DekoyOktopus. Together, this duo invites all listeners to join them for a shadowy journey through “DarkCity” and DarkCityDos (Dub Sessions) -

Search | Add | 2 | SL'S3 | SL'S3 is a neo crust, emotive hardcore band that formed in A Coruña harbor city of Spain in 2000. Members are from neo crust band [a1418979] and grind core band [a747560]. They broke up like burning out after releasing 6 songs demo in 2003, and the 10” album “Con La Venda Hacia La Pared.” The members are doing great in Blunt and Hongo and they’re deeply involved in the scene. SL’S3 hasn’t receive any recognition for some reason, and no one knows a lot about it, however its sound was a cross over of neo crust and post punk, moreover brought up a new possibility of the scene. This “Con La Venda Hacia La Pared”, which they consolidated its originality in, has been discontinued for a long time after they stopped, is being released as an official renewed CD.

Search | Add | 2 | D-Town Brown | Eclectic Hip Hop, Funk, Rock group from Denver, CO. Mainly active from 1994 - 1996. Shatta Mejia was the lead rapper, spokesperson and spiritual head of D-Town Brown, along with drummer Kenny Ortiz, bassist Ken Grider, guitarist Raphael Tapia and DJ Hen G [Henry Gomez]. Unlike many hip-hop acts, D-Town Brown was a real band, with performers who play original licks rather than sample snatches of music made by their predecessors. "We're fortunate to have musical diversity in the lineup. We've got a scratching DJ, a thrasher guitar player, a rocking bass player, the maddest funk drummer in town and a rapper who loves reggae, too." As one of the premier rap groups at the time, they were know for their politically charged message and socially conscious approach. They released "Tiempo Chicano" on tape in 1994, followed by the CD album release "Smotherd Dee-Lux" in 1996.

Search | Add | 2 | Jimmy Wakely's Trio | Early country and western group. Often sang and acted in cowboy movies. The Jimmy Wakely Trio was formerly named The Bell Boys and later, The Three Buckaroos. In late 1940, in California, the Three Buckaroos took the name the Jimmy Wakely Trio, after adding Gene Autry. Dick Reinhart replaced Scotty Harrel as the third member of the trio on the movie "Melody Ranch." The Encyclopedia of Country Music says that the Bond-Wakely-Harrell trio "pulled a clever musical scam" by recording for two companies under different names: the Jimmy Wakely Trio (for Decca Records) and Johnny Bond & the Cimarron Boys (for Columbia Records).

Search | Add | 2 | Former Members Of The N.Y. Rock Ensemble | Following the release of 1972's "Freedomburger", the band broke up into two factions. The late singer/keyboardist Michael Kamen and multi-instrumentalist Dorian Rudnystsky plodded on with the band New York Rock. For their part, frustrated with The Ensemble's inability to break commercially, singer/guitarist Clifton Nivison and drummer Martin Fulterman bailed, continuing their business and creative partnership by signing a deal with the Scepter Records affiliated Opal Productions. Working for Opal, over the next two years Nivison and Fulterman undertook a broad array of assignments, including writing material for other artists, preparing and recording demos, recording tracks under various aliases, and producing material. Once again frustrated with the lack of recognition, Fulterman quit Opal in 1974, relocating to Los Angeles where he found work scoring music for television and film. Regardless of whether they had legal rights to the material, at some point in the mid-1970s Opal management sold the Nivison and Fulterman material held in its vaults to the Tomorrow label. Even though the relationship was somewhat tenuous, Tomorrow management was clever enough to exploit the pair's connection with The New York Rock and Roll Ensemble. So in an odd way Tomorrow actually deserved some credit for truth in advertising (at least this time out), since the material literally represented work by 'former members' of The New York Rock Ensemble.
