Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | Curly Clayton | Harvey Ormerod | Real name is Harvey Ormerod who was involved the Rolling Stones and Caravelles making some demos in his North London home studio in 1962. In 1963 he opened [l992901]. Died 2009 A new era for British television was ushered in on September 22 1955 when viewers in London were offered an alternative to the BBC. Associated Rediffusion and the Associated Broadcasting Company were commercial stations and carried advertising. Now we take for granted the fact that almost every advert has a music track that helps sell the product. Back in the summer of 1955 British advertising agencies were just coming to terms with the concept. The first agency to specially record a piece of music for an ad was J. Walter Thompson on Monday August 1 1955 when George Browne and his Calypso-Mambo Band recorded a one-minute song for use on a pilot commercial. Besides George, who played the guitar and sang, there was Curly Clayton who also played guitar and Pat Ryan on bongos. Seven years later, on October 27, two weeks after the Beatles Love Me Do entered the charts; the fledgling Rolling Stones recorded three songs at Curly Clayton's studio near Arsenal's football ground. The songs were made into a demo disc that was sent to EMI and Decca who, along with everyone else, rejected the band for a recording contract. Curly, was paid £3 for that first session. |

Search | Add | 6 | King Alex | Alex Littlejohn | "King-Alex" was born July 29, 1934 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and passed away March 15, 2008. He grew up with his musical family in Forriday, Louisiana. At age 14, he moved to Kansas City and began his musical training with help from bass lessons from Claude "Fiddler" Williams. Formal training at UMKC's Conservatory of Music helped Alex refine his ability to play the bass and he was the first African-American bassist to play an electric bass in Kansas City through the Conservatory. He was a career musician living and working the rest of his life in Kansas City. He performed at local venues, regional and national blues and jazz festivals. He performed with the late Tommy Soul, Lester "Wizard" King, Albert Collins, B.B. King, Jerry Lee Lewis, Lawrence Wright and the Outlets, Leon Estelle, "Little-Joe" Robinson and Claude "Fiddler" Williams - just to name a few. His group The Turnpikes recorded a couple of sides in the late 1950's for the Central label, followed by more sides in the early 1960's for Spindle. There was a long gap of 15 years before recording a single for NMI in 1979 and another 15+ years before he entered the most productive era of recording, as a slew of full-length albums came out in in the 1990s and early 2000s. Littlejohn was inducted into the Elder Statesmen of Kansas City Jazz in 2002 along with former employer and life-long friend Richard "Dick" Berkley. |

He was also a member of the vocal group Three Hits, which otherwise consisted of Leif Strøm and Kari Neegaard. Three Hits released a large number of singles in the 1960s, often with lyrics by Tore Ryen and Andreas Diesen. The first came all in 1964. The last came in 1971. In 1968 a separate LP was also released with Three Hits: The best that exists. This release brought together many of their most popular recordings for NorDisc. The trio also received two own programs on NRK, Meet Three Hits (1967) and Musical Interlude (1970). Under his own name, Ola Negaard released two singles: "Take the day as it comes / The day I saw Marie" (Polydor, Norway) and "But I know / The day I saw Marie" (Decca, Sweden). The A-side on the latter had Swedish text by Stig "Stikkan" Anderson, the later manager of ABBA. In 1970, his only solo LP came: the English-language Ola on Norwegian Polydor. In 1972, there were two singles in collaboration with Gro Anita Schönn, released on RCA Victor and Talent, respectively. He also appeared on Norwegian compilation albums such as På Treff Med 2, På Treff Med 3 and Norsk Pop '70. He participated in the Melodi Grand Prix 1973 with "Oh, for a game", which became Norway's winning melody this year (but then with Bendik Singers). In NRK television, Ola Neegaard worked as a producer, director, reporter, project manager and later program secretary. On the music side, he was, among other things. behind programs such as Thursday Tones, Evening Tones and Musical Feast.

REbRO's music has a very enticing mood: eclectic and eccentric carrying a profound sense of Relaxed/Tension echoing sounds and beats unconventionally used fully charging up any empty thoughts in the headspace. Warmhearted electronic exploration of hypnotic musical patterns, combining psychedelic synth textures, Blues/Funk-like guitars, and traditional Indian/Thai music.

Through AME's consulting divisions TDI, Brahms was instrumental in taking Atlantic Records artist Debbie Gibson to the position of top five on Billboard's pop charts. In the 90's Brahms and his wife and partner Claudia, made the transition from music into the ever-changing video industry, expanding into direct acquisition of independent theatrical and direct to video product. By establishing unique distribution relationships with other independent labels under its banner, Brahms has positioned MTI Home Video and its studio partners as one of the fastest growing and uniquely diverse home entertainment companies in the industry.

Search | Add | 6 | Igor Vertus | Igor Bicanic | Igor Vertus (Igor Bicanic) is a long time industrial veteran from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Influenced by the Rotterdam hardcore scene from the 90’s, at the age of 12 he started sampling loops from the radio and mixed it with LP records to create his own sound. Three years later he discovered FastTracker2 where he started making hardcore and gabber. He loved the speed, the energy and the distorted kicks and screaming Juno synthesizers. This was an excellent teacher to really understand the technique around electronic sound and sequencing. With all the inspiration in the epic oldschool and early hardcore 1992-2002 era and many tracks later he knew he had to upgrade to get a more professional sound. He bought a drumcomputer (a Korg Electribe with tube amps), a sampler (Akai S2000), an analog modeling synthesizer (Yamaha AN1x), a 12 channel mixer with all kinds of effects and a JBL monitoring soundsystem. For even better sound he got his hands on a professional M-Audio soundcard and a studio amp. He learned all the midi and sequencing tricks he needed in Cubase. Still there were many limitations for the sound he wanted. The complexity needed way more gear and hardware-only wasn’t the answer. As computers and software were getting more powerful, VST’s were getting more mature, Igor Vertus started using the Reason Studio DAW which allowed him create without limits, while keeping that studio feel. Igor Vertus got his first recognition after winning a producer contest on a well known social website for party minded people, Partyflock, where he won a record deal for a known Dutch Amsterdam-based hardcore label, Mokum Records. Around 2006 he got drawn in the trending hard techno scene, where he released techno and industrial tracks. The energy from techno combined with the raw sound of industrial music was a perfect fit. In 2021 he started his own fresh label, Blackly Beyond Records, where his story could be told in techno, hardtechno, industrial and dark psychedelic acid. Since 2022 he presents the weekly podcast streaming show Beyond Techno, available on Apple Podcasts, Mixcloud, Soundcloud, YouTube and such. Every episode is all about techno, hardtechno and industrial music, where Igor Vertus curates and mixes the newest promo’s, hidden gems and older great tracks from the frontlines. |

Search | Add | 6 | Жамал Омарова | Singer (contralto). Born 1912, in Yangiul, Uzbek SSR. People’s Artist of Kazakhstan. Died 1976.
