Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025

Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Striving to combine euphoric and raw hardstyle, Linus Sjöstedt, the name behind Narotix, strives to combine fierce kicks with stimulating melodies. Discovering hardstyle through a friend, Narotix became dedicated to producing the genre following experimentation with a variety of genres including house, trance, and dubstep. With aspirations to perform among Sweden's elite at popular events like Monday Bar and Deztination, Narotix began producing at the age of sixteen. Through years of trial and error, Linus studied the art of music production in preparation for his emergence on the hard dance scene.

Search Add 6 Curly Clayton Harvey Ormerod Real name is Harvey Ormerod who was involved the Rolling Stones and Caravelles making some demos in his North London home studio in 1962. In 1963 he opened [l992901]. Died 2009 A new era for British television was ushered in on September 22 1955 when viewers in London were offered an alternative to the BBC. Associated Rediffusion and the Associated Broadcasting Company were commercial stations and carried advertising. Now we take for granted the fact that almost every advert has a music track that helps sell the product. Back in the summer of 1955 British advertising agencies were just coming to terms with the concept. The first agency to specially record a piece of music for an ad was J. Walter Thompson on Monday August 1 1955 when George Browne and his Calypso-Mambo Band recorded a one-minute song for use on a pilot commercial. Besides George, who played the guitar and sang, there was Curly Clayton who also played guitar and Pat Ryan on bongos. Seven years later, on October 27, two weeks after the Beatles Love Me Do entered the charts; the fledgling Rolling Stones recorded three songs at Curly Clayton's studio near Arsenal's football ground. The songs were made into a demo disc that was sent to EMI and Decca who, along with everyone else, rejected the band for a recording contract. Curly, was paid £3 for that first session.

Search Add 6 Ill Crew Universal Ill Crew Universal Ill Crew Universal is a Worldwide Hip-Hop organization and entertainment company dedicated to the preservation, activism, empowerment, balance and unity of Hip-Hop culture expressed in all of its elements. ICU is a service to the Hip-Hop community, whose goal is to educate and network artists, activists, musicians and thinkers so as to enrich the Hip-Hop community by promoting positivity, humility, understanding, resourcefulness, interdependence, consciousness and progressive change in society. Ill Crew Universal (ICU) was the largest Hip-Hop organization in the world, with more than 50,000 members worldwide. ICU gained the respect of the Hip-Hop nation and had both the attention of the mainstream media (MTV, Billboard, Rap Sheet, The Source, Vibe, etc) and many recognized Hip-Hop artists of the time, including Xzibit, Gang Starr, X-Clan, The Alkaholiks, Living Legends, Jurassic 5, Black Eyed Peas, A Tribe Called Quest, Jungle Brothers, UMC'’s, Paris, Hieroglyphics, The Coup, to name a few. ICU began its journey in the Hip-Hop world in 1995. By the summer of 1996, ICU had the leading Hip-Hop website on the Internet and gained worldwide notoriety. In fact, ICU helped to create the emergence of Hip-Hop on the Internet through its members. By the year 1999, ICU had over 50,000 members and had released 7 compilations of ICU artist's material. The growth of ICU exceeded the expectations of ICU leadership. By the forth quarter of 1999, ICU closed its doors to new members. Due to excessively rapid growth and success of ICU, we felt it was in the best interest of the organization, and the public at large, to go on an indefinite hiatus until we could bring forth our vision when the time called for it. That time is now! ICU is announcing our return to the Hip-Hop world. ICU leadership spent the past several years focusing on independent projects, while keeping a low profile in regards to the organization. We have reorganized our effort, added exceptional talent to ICU leadership, and are prepared to take on the Hip-Hop world once again!

Search Add 6 Sal V Sal V DJ/Producer addicted to music. With over 20 years rocking the turntables under his belt, there is no mistaking his skills. Whether it's events, clubs or radio shows, Sal V is known for flawless mixing and eclectic music styles, always at the top of his game knowing what to play and when to play it. Originally from Oxnard, California, his love for music began as a child, watching and learning from local 805 DJs. It wasn't long before he bought his first pair of Technics 1200's, built a record library and went straight to work under the moniker DJ Maclon. Working with numerous promoters, he toured for years sharing the stage with superstar DJ's and guest mixing on several radio stations throughout California. Not satisfied with just spinning other people's tracks, he took the next step venturing into production under the new stage name Sal V. His first productions were picked up by local labels Hardstep Records and Fussion Groove, then licensed on several DJ mixed compilation CD's. In the following years he continued producing and remixing, releasing tracks under his own label Full Effect Recordings. In 2006, Sal V joined KRAJ 100.9 The HEAT FM as Mixshow Coordinator, DJ and Producer of several shows including his own project: The Launch Mixshow. Sponsored by Native Instruments' Traktor Scratch, the show featured the best in Electronic Dance Music with Sal V as Host, DJ and Producer along with special guest DJs from around the globe. This recent surge in House Music has Sal V hard at work in the studio along with co-producer Jay Wes on new productions and back out on stage for clubs and events.
