Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

What's your pleasure, tenderfoot? From the wrong side of the tracks in Utrecht, the Netherlands, something wicked this way comes. Out of the ashes of a zillion other bands, known and unknown, springs a hard boiled musical quartet featuring the finest an foulest this dirty old town has to offer. Doing away with subtleties of modern day music these four delinquents return to the granitehard core of the sleazy rock of old. The ooz 'n sludging, swamp 'n rolling, hard riffing, swashbuckling proverbial hobnailed boot under your fat ass! Scaring the bejesus out of anyone of feebler constitution as they go along.......... Like a diesel truck hitting a concrete elephant at 100 mph, take heed! My name is Laughing Arnold and I aprove this message!

Search | Add | 4 | Phenris | Started as a raw Black Metal / Black 'n' Roll band named Hater, and changed name to Phenris in early 2001 when their style metamorphosed into their current sound with the inclusion of influences from several different Metal genres. Today the band is described as Avantgarde Black Metal musically. Lord J. H. Psycho is one of the founding members of Furor Italicus, an independent Italian underground network of metal musicians, promoters and fans. Halphas and Necrum are also regular active supporters of the circle. Supremacy was a raw black metal side project that some Phenris members founded and sporadically rehearsed as between late 2001 and Spring-Summer 2003; they only recorded a handful of rehearsal tapes (now lost by the band members themselves) that were given away to friends. Endymion is NOT the same keyboardist from Opus Maledicta and [A=Lord Vampyr]. Dario Stolfi was only a drummer for two rehearsals.

Sonority in which darkness prevails and recall and remind Berlin's atmosphere of city center clubs.

Search | Add | 4 | Darío González Moreira | Darío Moreira’s multicultural origins reflect a wide variety of influences in his compositions. He was born in Buenos Aires in 1962, into a family of Italian-Argentine and Portuguese-Galician emigrants, who returned to Galicia in 1964. He grew up in the town of O Porriño, in an “indianos” house run by his paternal grandmother. The rhythmic sound of the train, which crosses the town through the center, is part of his first sound memories. His mother, Lucía Moreira, a native of the province of Santa Fe (Argentina), transmitted her culture to him through literature, gastronomy and music. Since he was a child he had contact with the tango of the Rio de la Plata and argentine folklore; He learned the generic “palos” of flamenco with the gypsy community, and participated in several popular music groups. He studied Classical Guitar with professors Javier Fernández Oria, Uxío Mayo and Tomás Camacho at the Vigo Superior Conservatory of Music (Galicia), where he had the opportunity to receive master classes from maestro José Tomás, who highlighted his expressive strength. He also participated with teachers and students in jazz sessions, learning in a self-taught way. Within the folk music scene, he formed the group [a2451125], together with [a5146653], [a2525264], [a5146655] and [a5146654], performing a copious work as an arranger and composer on the traditional music repertoire of Galicia. They recorded 5 albums and performed at the main folk music festivals, being one of the Galician groups with more projection in the 80′s, and awarded with the Galician Critics Prize in 1989. Faced with the need to resolve the aftermath of a youthful fracture in his left arm, he started to use in an intuitive way technique similar to the renaissance “dedillo”, which consists of the alternate pulsation of the fingertip and fingernail. This allowed him to perform scales and melodic phrases at great speed, and also, to apply this resource on acoustic and electric guitar, getting the effect of the pick with the fingers. By observing this way of playing the string on many instruments from different times and cultures, he deepens the study of world music, applying innovative guitar techniques in his compositions and developing the capacity for improvisation, from a language full of rhythmic, melodic, harmonic and timbre resources.

I had always used fake names when I was doing straight music so I just went with it. The time period was late-1990s to early-2000s. We did shows in our basement during that time. We called it the Sacred Garden and had quite a few traveling improvisers play there as well. It was all documented in a film called Music Of The Moment by a fellow named Kevin Wisor.

Search | Add | 4 | Matt Panayides | Matt Panayides is a modern guitarist and composer whose compelling melodies, compositions and improvisations have led to performances and collaborations with musicians all over the world. Employing modern harmonies, free and structured improvisations, mixed-meter rhythms and straight-ahead swing, Panayides has created his own unique musical voice on the guitar. Based in New York City, Matt leads a variety of different musical groups and can be found performing throughout NYC as a soloist, leading his own trio or quartet, or rounding out the rhythm section of a big band. His current musical project was formed in the Spring of 2018 and is called “Field Theory”. This band has been performing throughout NYC in venues such as the 55 Bar, Cornelia Street Cafe, Nublu and ShapeShifter Lab. Originally with Matt Vashlishan on wind synth, Bob Sabin on bass and Mark Ferber on drums Panayides also performs his compositions in trio and solo settings. Panayides has been taking his music abroad, collaborating with local musicians in South Korea and China who bring a unique perspective to his compositions. With drummer Jong Dae Oh in Seoul, Matt has played countless gigs in venues with the top musicians on the scene. In Shanghai Matt teams up with saxophonist Alec Haavik. With some US dates scheduled for the end of 2019, Panayides will record his third album, set to be released in 2020. His previous group featured a long-standing partnership with Rich Perry on tenor sax which led to the creation of two albums “Conduits” (2015) with Rich Perry, Mark Ferber and Thomson Kneeland, and “Tapestries of Song” (2011) with Rich Perry, Steve LaSpina and Dan Weiss. Both albums were released on the label Pacific Coast Jazz to much acclaim and feature Panayides’ compositions. Matt holds a BM from Manhattan School of Music and an MM from William Paterson University.
