Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Invisible Light Agency | Invisible Light Agency (now known as ILA) is Eldita Tarani and James Vernon. The group started in 2015 when a mutual friend and musician introduced the duo who quickly bonded over their love for the English/French band Stereolab, along with psychedelia and the creative process. Tarani, originally from Kosovo, was visiting California on a student visa. This left the group with uncertainty but also a mentality to enjoy their time working together since it wasn’t always a constant on-going opportunity. The group learned not to take things for granted with regards to collaborating and writing. While this sparked a sense of urgency, it also paved the way for playfulness with the creative process. Vernon has built a studio over the years and provides musical foundations. Tarani provides additional musical input on synthesizers and guitars as well as main vocals and lyrics. The songs are a joint effort and co-written. Their style has been described as “future retro, psychedelic pop, and dream pop” and has been compared to Vanishing Twin, Stereolab, Melody’s Echo Chamber and Corridor among their fans and friends alike.

Search | Add | 5 | Klauhütte Bangzeit 200 | Klauhütte Bangzeit 200 - also known as KB Zed or shortened as KBZ - is the alias used for 1991 [a=Gordon Monahan]'s "Exotic Trilogy" project and his by-product on record. "Vexations (1893) by Erik Satie was an extremely avant garde work when it was composed. The concept of "furniture music" was co-opted by the Muzak Corporation and used as background shopping music. The KB Zed takes 3 songs often heard as shopping music and uses them to create this ersatz exotic tableau that returns the music to its primitive state, causing delirious frenzy amongst listeners subjected to a full 18 hour listening."

Search | Add | 5 | Martín Galarza | José Martin Galarza Arce | José Martin Galarza Arce began in rap music starting in 1984, due to the fact that he traveled to Puerto Rico at that time. In this country he learned break dancing and rap. In 1989 he returned to Ecuador, after having completed his studies in sound engineering and music production at Institute of audio research-New York. In this year he obtained a record contract thanks to the help of Troy Alvarado "Bassist of the group Tranzas" and he released his first recordings on the album, "Asfalto Caliente" and "Guacharnaco", but it is with the song that followed them singles, the rap ballad titled "Tres Notas" with which marks the beginning of rap in Ecuador. The songs such as "Vago Soy", "Sangre Latina" and the song that released the fame to AU-D, "Tres Notas". "Tres Notas" sold more than 180,000 copies in less than a year, a record number for an Ecuadorian soloist at that time (source: IFESA) and received countless awards such as the Huancavilca Award as Song of the Year and marked the beginning of rap in Ecuador . The video remained in the most popular ranking of the time, that of the TV show "El Show de Bernard" (Ecuavisa) for 7 weeks as # 1. Already in 1992 he edits "Rebel Without Pause", disc of 4 subjects where he temporarily leaves aside the rap ballad and writes about more social themes, as well as expresses his concerns about an increasingly superficial world as in the song "Solo Entre Tanta Gente "and" Chicos de la Cuadra ", however, this album does not match the success of the previous one, which is why he decides to return to the line that he released with the song" Cuando Me Quieras ", written and performed together with the composer and singer of the band "Tranzas" Douglas Bastidas in 1994, managing to place this song among the most played songs of that year. In 1996 he decided to perfect that pop rap sound he had achieved and experimented by re-versioning the song of the lojano singer-songwriter Edison León Celi (Edhisson), "Un Amor Así"; also decides to integrate a female voice, the singer from Guayaquil Maria Gabriela Flor. In this CD of 9 songs I would also highlight the ballad "Solo Tu Amor". This CD, released independently, gets Double Gold Record (Source: Society of Authors and Composers of Ecuador-SAYCE) and places these two songs in the number one of the season 1996. In the 97 license this same album under the title of " Rebel Without Pause "to the BMG label, being the year of its internationalization, where it has the opportunity to transmit its music and triumph in part of South America. |

Search | Add | 5 | Original Camellia Jazz Band | Taking its name from a steam paddle wheeler that, in a bygone era, ran excursions across Lake Ponchartrain from Milneburg to Mandeville, the Original Camellia Jazz Band has become one of the most musically consistent and visible bands in New Orleans today. A working unit, they are equally happy to play for a Sunday Brunch, a convention party, a dinner dance or wedding reception. Every engagement shows off their versatility nicely with a wide spectrum of tunes - from traditional jazz classics like Tiger Rag and Basin Street Blues, to great standards of the 30s and 40s such as 'S Wonderful and Stardust. The Camellia can perform in the full six or seven-piece format, or as the Camellia Trio or Quartet for more relaxed, soft jazz. The smaller format works well also as a strolling group or mini-parade band.

Search | Add | 5 | Danielius Pomerancas | Lithuanian violinist of Jewish descent. Born 1904 in Šiauliai, emigrated to Canada in 1974, died 1981. Daniel Pomerantz’s jazz-band was the best exponent of swinging orchestra in the interwar Lithuanian little stage. The band usually performed in Konradas cafe in Kaunas. Pomerantz studied violin with Itzhak Vildman-Zaidman at the Kaunas Juozas Naujalis School of Music and Willy Hess at the Berlin Conservatoire. In Vienna he attended master classes given by Bronisław Huberman, a renowned violin virtuoso. While in Berlin, Pomerantz played in cafes and Marek Weber orchestra, at the time one of the most popular orchestras in Europe. Upon returning to Kaunas around 1933, Pomerantz formed an ensemble of multiinstrumentalists. The ensemble performed in Konradas and Monika cafes and not before long started competing with the celebrated Hofmeklerband in terms of mastery. He liked to play solo violin in cafes; he played almost the entire violin repertoire fascinating his listeners by virtuoso passages and improvisations. In 1936, orchestra conducted by Pomerantz joined by recording studio orchestra members and soloist Antanas Dvarionas recorded for label Columbia 11 shellac records, featuring fashionable tangos, waltzes and foxtrots.

Search | Add | 5 | Fishy Friends | Named after a toy set for babies, five guys from the Winschoten area in The Netherlands are writing their own songs in the style of Nirvana, The Posies, Teenage Fanclub and Smashing Pumpkins starting from 1993. After playing a few gigs the boys recorded the first album entitled “Starring Netty” which sees the light of day in May 1994, More shows are there and they make it till the popcontest of Groningen called “Pop=Prima Prijs” in 1995. Unfortunately they end up not winning the prize. In 1996 recordings began for the second one called “Hurray!”. The music has become more solid and is more furious but still melodic with nice vocal harmonies. A few shows are played but due to lack of success the members started to focus on other bands and projects. In 1998 it all ended. The songs stick to your head immediately and are still not outdated. In 2019 they came together again and old songs were played but also new songs are written. On stage again on the 5th of May 2022 after so many years. A new album is recorded.

Three of the 40 plus members, (Ruler) Divine, Spintek and Powerful, had inked the deal representing the brand as QSR. They spent the year recording an album and performing in the tri-state area. Nine (9) of the twelve (12) songs on the album were produced by Ruler Divine and the other three by Rockwilder of F5 Entertainment (Red and Meth, Janet Jackson). On December 5th of 2000, Universal Music Group released the CD single "Washed Out" (Produced by Rockwilder) b/w "Queens" (produced by Ruler Divine) by QSR which didn't do well to UMG's surprise considering how much promo had been done by the artists. January of 2001 the group had been given an ultimatum by the record label to stay on as shelved artists or leave the agreement with severance pay. QSR chose the latter.

Holder of a DEA in International Economic and Commercial Law, she divides her life between her work as an advisor and her passion: music. Emeritus artist (pianist, guitarist and violinist), thanks to her talent, her charisma and her will, she succeeds in overcoming her blindness and transforming into an asset what would initially pass for a handicap. Strongly marked by Zouk at the start of her career, she expresses herself just as well in other genres such as Funk, R'n'b, Ragga, Reggae, Rap, Cameroonian folklore or variety. French. She defends, through her music, a multiculturalism that she has acquired through her thirst for knowledge and independence. She is very active in the voluntary sector to help the blind integrate through artistic expression and education (Angelmusic / Cecimode). At the age of 7, because of her sight problems, Angélina left Cameroon for France. She attended a religious school where she was introduced to music. At 10, she recorded her first album with the other children of the choir. At 18, in order to pay for her law studies, she began to play cabaret and was noticed by several groups. The first she joined is a West Indian team: Kawatch. Angélina learns Creole there to better assert herself overall. Two years later, she left this group to join "the Girls" as singer and guitarist. She recorded and co-produced the album "Viens on va danser" and participated in several tours through France, Germany, Switzerland and the West Indies.

Search | Add | 5 | A Little Farther West | The music of A Little Farther West evokes the spirit of classic western movie soundtracks. The Oklahoma duo, consisting of Robert Maxwell Case on electric guitar and vocals and his wife Susie on continental combo organ, offers up a modern take on the cinematic instrumental and vocal styles of the late 1950's through the early 1970's. Robert has been a journeyman solo entertainer all of his working life. He met Susie during his ten years performing in Branson, MO. In 2014 she began playing keyboard behind his guitar and vocals and the duo of A Little Farther West was born. To date the group has released five albums: "A Little Farther West," "Mountain Storm," "God Must Be A Cowboy," "Christmas On The Line," and "Vaya Con Dios."

Search | Add | 5 | Brett James Phillips | Phoenix guitarist and luthier Brett James Phillips submitted a CD-R containing 12 instrumental songs which cover a range of music styles, including acoustic, rock, trippy acid, and more. A serious player, Phillips uses both electric and acoustic guitars and a number of effects devices and/or recording techniques to create unique and diverse textures of musical expression. He has hand built his own instruments and recorded his music in his own studio. As evidenced by the songs on his CD-R, Phillips values highly the improvisational aspect of music, taking a number of chops-happy, jammy excursions over the sequenced backing tracks. "Painted Desert", for example, has a soaring theme, followed by a long, rock'n'classical harmonized improvisation. On Phillips' timeless acoustic tracks, you'll find some beautiful pieces of music. alb Brett started playing the piano at age seven and picked up the trumpet and tuba while in high school. He first picked up the guitar at the age of nineteen, and also learned how to build and design acoustic and electric guitars at the Roberto Venn School of Luthiery. Brett started his own business in 1991, teaching private guitar and bass lessons as well as customizing and repairing stringed instruments. He also co-founded and helped operate the Cellar coffee house, largely as a music venue specializing in the development of new talent. Phillips has plans to continue to play as a solo guitarist in the Phoenix area, building a fan base as well as helping other artists record their original music. He intends to keep writing, recording and performing his original compositions while remaining independent to maintain artistic control. Phillips has a 21-song acoustic CD planned for an April 1 release in the Phoenix area. Contact Information Brett Phillips 1426 E. Utopia Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85024 United States

"I have been doing it ever since, covering all sorts of genres: Chicago, rave, old school, breakeat, UK house, trance, hard house and electro". "I started collecting house music back in 1986 after hearing some of the early classics from the likes of Raze, Ce Ce Rogers and Marshall Jefferson". "My first foray in to club DJ’ing (unless you count putting on a night from college in 1991) came after sending a tape (remember those?!?!) to the biggest rave night in Blackpool at The Zone in 1992. After a couple of nights filling in there, I became a resident Zone DJ for most of the next 7 years before starting to play for many more nights around the North West and West Yorkshire".

Ensimmäiset koeluontoiset treenit pidettiin Narrimarssin treenikämpällä Pihlajistossa, jonne uuden kokoonpanon saanut Lumiraja pian muutti. Samalla kämpällä treenasivat noihin aikoihin myös pientä paikallista suosiota saaneet Public Reaction When Communism Comes, Little Mary Mix-Up, The Innerspacemen ja Poverty Stinks. Uudistunut Lumiraja (Caiju Rönnholm - laulu, Asmo Hammer - kitara, Tomi Nuotio - basso, Heikki Hämeri - viulu, Timmo Ravea - rummut) teki ahkerasti keikkoja Helsingin klubeissa, jolloin se herätti myös vasta toimintansa aloittaneen Tonal Recordsin mielenkiinnon. Kesällä 1988 äänitettiin esikoissinkku "Käy kansa/Laiskiainen, joka ilmestyi loppuvuodesta. Tällöin Lumiraja sai kutsun Radio Cityyn Kimmo Helistön haastatteluun. Samoihin aikoihin tehtiin bändistä myös ensimmäinen juttu Rumbaan, jota varten Jouko Lehtola otti bändistä promo-kuvia. Seuraava sinkku "Mari Toukokuu/Etäistä" julkaistiin vuoden 1989 aikana, joka soi mm. Ylen ja Radio Cityn ohjelmissa. Bändissä tapahtui kuitenkin taas miehistövaihdoksia: kitaristi Asmo hammer lopetti, ja tilalle tuli mm. Nauwon Sudet-bändissä soittanut Timo Forss. Tällä kokoonpanolla äänitettiin talvella 90/91 Equaliz-studiossa Töölössä Kimmo Helistön tuottama "Kosto/Vaahtera"-7", joka jäi Lumirajan viimeiseksi julkaisuksi. Bändi lopetti toimintansa syksyllä 1991.

Started to fall in love with hiphop at 8 years old after listening to Back For the First time by Ludacris. Adopted the moniker "Jody Lo" at just 13 years old (influenced by the late Atlanta MC Shawty Lo) after Jody gained a signifigant amount of influence from the era of 2004-2009 with the outbreak of seemingly DIY trap music from artists like Shawty Lo, Gucci Mane, Yo Gotti, Lil Boosie, Zed Zilla and Starlito. At the same time still a child of the "Lil Wayne era" which is evident through the admirable lyrical effort put forth by Jody Lo on each track. After practicing writing and reciting for more than 10 years, Jody Lo hit the studio for the first time at 21 years old when he recorded the hustle & flow mixtape, Substance, substance 1.5 & Sack Religion. Also appeared on Dj Smallz Eyes in a 27 minute interview. For the in depth life story check the DJ smallz eyes interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wi27N7565WY&t=47s |
