Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Charles Carnelison | May 24, 1947-August 22, 2021 Bluegrass preacher Charley Carnelison grew up in Hollister, Missouri, and was living in Springfield when he began his recording career. When he was eighteen, he joined Jack Keithley's band, the Ozark Country Boys, before forming a duo with Johnny Holt a few years later. Carnelison and Holt played on the radio locally in the Branson area, and recorded together over the course of several years. Carnelison's signature song is a gospel tune called "20-20 Vision," which bears a striking similarity to a secular heartsong recorded by Gene Autry way back in 1954 (and more famously in a bluegrass arrangement by Jimmy Martin) though he say he copyrighted his own version in 1967, first recording it in 1972. Mr. Carnelison cut several albums and published a collection of bluegrass gospel songs as well as a book of regional Ozark folklore. Eventually he quit performing due to hearing loss, but Carnelison and his band 20-20 Vision were still performing locally well into the 21st Century, with a presence on Facebook and podcasting as well.

Search | Add | 5 | Andy Baar | Andy Baar | Andy Baar's first contact with electronic Dance music was in 1993 at Düsseldorf Unionrave. From there on he'd knew ”This is my thing”. Being Guest at several Parties with electronic Music he felt the need to swap his place on the dancefloor with a place behind the turntables. In 1996 having the first gigs in Clubs around Cologne. 1997 was the beginning of what he really liked: He started as resident DJ at Evosonic Radio. From the first day to it's last, Evosonic Radio was his second home base. Starting with the Show ”Evopool-Update”, he loved to work on air and everything that had to do with that, like recording jingles, creating concepts and sets for the show. Quick after that he had his first own weekly show called “Sleep Disorder”. Hours and hours on air, getting a much brighter horizon of what electronic music could do, he went more and more familiar with lots of genres electronic music has to offer. Several gigs around Germany and being a part of the Loveprades DJset 1998 and 1999 were some of his highlights. 2012 the old love of making Radio shows knocked on his door with the possibility of having an online broadcast at the 15th anniversary of Evosonic Radio. Since the he used this way for broadcasting his “Wunderbaar Radioshow” (since 2016 his show “Sleep Disorder” as podcast) for letting old and new fans have the typical sound again. 2017 started Evosonic Radio again….with Andy Baar. 2017 is also the year of another highlight in his career. On Evosonic Records his first production is released: "Sleep Disorder EP". |

Search | Add | 5 | Dr. Vannacut | 2001 Timo started deejaying, mainly by a request of a friend who needed one additional DJ for his event. Never been on the turntables in public before Timo used this chance to improve his skills on front of an real audience. Soon after he was not satisfied anymore by just playing tracks from other artists but also wanted to create his own sound. He did alot of research and bought equipment and software over the years to be able to create his own style. Due to that reason he stopped increasing his deejaying skills and focused on producing and playing live. This style was first presented in 2007 at the event “Sinister - The roughest sequel” at the Roccadero, Krefeld. But Timo thought his style was still to “main”, and decided to make a pause. In 2011, after a lot of home experimentation and tryouts he started working on his first album “Vitriolic” which will be released on 15/03/13 during a release event at the Royal Bambi, Dortmund. His style is somewhere located between Industrial and Darkcore as it is supposed to be a unique sound experience.

Jones (born Josephus Jones, February 15, 1942) joined his half brother Otis Munson and fellow San Bernadino California High School alumni Carl McGinnis and brothers Ken and Ted Goodloe as new lead singer of their group The Pentagons in 1959. First recording for George Motola as the Shields in 1959 ("The Girl Around The Corner," "You'll Be Coming Home Soon,") they were picked up by producer Lee Silver and recorded four sides for Donna ("For A Love That Is Mine," "I Like The Way You Look At Me") in 1960, moving to Jamie, recording four sides including their breakout hits "To Be Loved" in 1961 and "I Wonder" in 1962. The same lineup then cut 4 sides for Buck Ram as the Chesterfields on Phillips. Going solo he recorded as "Joel Scott" for Phil Spector's Philles records and "Joe Phillips" for Herb Alpert's Omen label. In 1969 he re-joined half brother Otis Munson to record four sides for various Lee Silver labels, and in 1976 four sides for AVI, including "Lucky Lady" and "Storyteller." A continuing collaboration with the Pentagon's Ken Goodloe produced several unreleased recordings including "A Year To Remember." Joe's final recording was a 1998 solo album on the High Point label "I'll Always Love You." Joe C. Jones passed away in Redlands California on September 6, 2019. |

Search | Add | 5 | Notes From Prague | The underground group Notes From Prague was established in 2000 by David Chvátal, a well known Czech director of skateboard videos, [a=Antwi], DJ Negative and producer Maykee, Dave´s brother. NFP was at that time a project leading to the soundtrack of the 2000 and 2001 Praha sk8 video magazines. Their debut album came out in 2002 titled "The Script of Both Elements". This soundtrack - album including 20 tracks of raw instrumental beats was also Antwi's debut. There is also a bonus track on this album - a RMX by DJ Wich - Orien Bounce. This album is quite rare, about 500 pieces came out. The second album "Same Place" in late 2004 made the group better known and there was a huge difference in the sound of their music as well. Better instrumentals, sharper and more direct performance of Darcphayce and guests like LA4, Daniela or Dr. Kary were successful elements of the the band´s progress further in the Czech hiphop scene. NFP also managed to build up a live band with strings, bass guitar and drums. Most of Antwi's lyrics contemplate about differences of life in the US and the Czech Republic (Prague and Philadelphia to be more specific). Some of the tracks in both albums also heavily influenced by life in the skateboarding community. Oblíbené skupiny

They have outlasted trends, scenes and governments by refusing to give in and just doing what they do. They play fast rock 'n' roll taking influences from Poison Idea, Discharge, The Varukers, The Exploited, Peter and The Test Tube Babies and more. Society gives them plenty of material and anger to craft their music and they do this anyway they like. They have been causing chaos since 1993 and in between drinking and splitting up, managed to record and release: 2 EPS, 3 albums and a double A side Christmas single. They are no longer playing as a band and instead prefer listening to Meat Loaf whilst drinking port and eating cheese. Although never say die!

Search | Add | 5 | Houston! | HOUSTON! formed in 2006 as a hard rock act formed by four young musicians coming from different styles and stories, Niko, Gaby, Phil and Dave, respectively vocals, bass, guitar and drum. In the first year they recorded a demo called “Never alcoholized” and they started building themselves a name around the live scene in Piacenza, Italy After a few months, the band enters the studio to record the first album “Fast in elegance” which opens the doors to the international collaboration with the US based label Sliptrick Records. We are in february 2008. In april HOUSTON! is the opening act for the Vengeance, a famous Dutch band, and due to an extraordinary live performance, demonstrating once again their natural feel for the stage, they get in touch with Erik Prins, manager of Mam Agency, starting a new collaboration. In october, following a series of gigs in the north of Italy, the band heads for the Netherlands and Belgium for its first european tour which rises a lot of attention and reaches new fans. Back in Italy HOUSTON! start working on the tracks for the new album “Mechanical sunshine”. When the new drummer Giovanni “Nello” Savinelli joins the band the music becomes more articulate and complex, the vocals become more aggressive making the perfect pair with the blistering guitar riffs. At the end of april 2009 the band is once again on tour across Europe raising positive reactions and expanding the number of band’s fans. Most of the gigs are sold out! After the tour the band signs with Tanzan Music for the release of the long awaited second album “Mechanical sunshine” which will be available in summer 2011.

Search | Add | 5 | The Dynaminds | Band description from an i94 Review: The Dynaminds Real Rock and Roll is alive and well and living in relative obscurity in Europe. Happily, it seems. It doesn't matter who listens to the radio - that medium, for the most part, lost any semblance of intelligence (musically speaking) in the late '70s when centralised playlists and other economies of scale kicked in. The smart people are grabbing their Rock Action wherever they can find it and here's another example, all the way from Bitburg in Germany. In the case of The Dynaminds, it's like a little bit of the Murder City was relocated to Deutschland, fed copious amounts of Pilsener and sausage and sent into the Black Forest to terrorise the populace. Thinking about it, inflicting the Flying Dutchman - aka Tony Slug of the Nitwitz and the Hydromatics - onto these guys as producer probably had the same effect. I'm sure the band must have developed thick hides by the end of the session 'cos the Slug is known to direct his stinging wit in the direction of most nationalities, but Germans especially. Listen hard enough and you'll hear a neat slice of Sonic's Rendezvous Band's "Dangerous" riffage (also a signature song for the Hydros) in the guest Slug guitar on "By All Means", which is a stellar moment on a great album. You know what to expect but it's done extremely well. Sluggo's production is superb too, with guitars bristling away atop a mammoth-sounding bottom end. Dr Rock is the guy on four-strings and much kudos to him. Da Man can play and even leads the way on "Hazy Hands". The Dynaminds namecheck SRB, the Five, Birdman, the Who and the Stooges in their bio and music. It doesn't take a genius to work out where they've applied those cues and you'll revel in Pick The Influence, if you're into that sort of thing. It actually takes about 30 seconds for the goodness of this record to kick in. I'm talkin' 'bout the first song, "Riding High", where a bitching backbeat and barroom piano slide over the top of a big fat bottom end and Van Boogie's soulful vocal. Mix in those guitars, courtesy of Sgt Famous and Smokey Lonesome, and you've got yourself a pro forma for a rockin' great time. Comes to the second tune, "Love Affair", and you'd swear these guitarists had been taking lessons from Nick Royale, Dr Tek and Klondike (like that's a bad thing?) "Bill Leavin" might be the centrepiece, with its tough, gritty feel and extended guitar call and response work-out. The single "Dangerous Blue", was a tour de force with its chunky guitars and smooth organ trimmings and it's here for your digital enjoyment, sounding like a Hydromatics song. There's a whole lot to like about The Dynaminds and if they recall a host of all-too-obvious influences, well that's fine 'cos you'll know what you're in for. Expect no fresh frontiers to be broken, but a flag is flown for the right sort of rock and roll. The album's even dedicated to Sonic Smith. A no risk investment. Longplayer „Tunes from the dusky dirtzone“ veroeffentlicht. Nach zahlreichen Gigs quer durch die Republik werden die Jungs gehandelt als „Dreckiger als die Monochords, frischer als die Hellacopters und cooler als Jet“ (www.actionrock.de). Momentan wird am 2. Album gearbeitet, das von Paul Smith (Dumbell) und Tony Slug (The Hydromatics, Nitwitz) produziert wird. Mehr Infos zur Band findet Ihr auf www.thedynaminds.com.

Search | Add | 5 | Plankton Waves | Plankton Waves is the symbiotic union of producer/composer Michel Flammant and vocalist/composer Natalie Pickar who have been involved in many different projects over the years. In 2010 they decided to continue on their own, to build a place for themselves and to work in isolation. Out of this reclusion came a very distinct sound. It’s dark and haunting yet glittering and beautiful; and definitely hard to categorize. Michel’s pulsing analog synthesizers are entangled by Natalie’s androgynous vocals while tribals drums and old beat machines push the songs forward. There are hints of Wave, 70s Psychedelic or 80s Pop, yet Plankton Waves are nothing of it and more at the same time. In any case their hypnotic compositions are the perfect soundtrack for fever dreams on a windy autumn night. This becomes especially clear if you happen to witness one of their visually intense live performances. Plankton Waves have released the EPs ‘Unduriel’ (2010) and ‘Songs Of Endings’ (2013) as well as the Single ‘Cloud Caravan / We Are’ (2012) and they have shared stages in Luxembourg, France, Belgium, Germany and Norway with artists like Anika, The Soft Moon, Zoot Woman, Clock Opera, Vermin Twins and Dead Sexy Inc. Search | Add | 5 | Вера Духовская | Вера Иосифовна Духовская | Vera Dukhovskaya (1903—1982) is a Russian chamber singer, lyric-coloratura soprano. In 1923, Vera Dukhovskaya graduated from the Moscow Philharmonic School (later transformed into GITIS = [l605813]) in vocal class and then arrived in Petrograd, where, on the advice of Anatoly Lunacharsky = [a2719818], she began performing in an ensemble with pianist Mikhail Bikhter. From November 1924 to January 1931, in the Small Philharmonic Hall (it was then located in the current Beethoven Foyer of the [l731129]), musicians gave seven concerts with perfectly arranged programs: these were Russian romances - from [url=https://www.discogs.com/ru/artist/835128-Mikhail-Ivanovich-Glinka]Glinka[/url] to [url=https://www.discogs.com/ru/artist/115469-Igor-Stravinsky]Stravinsky[/url], "The Musical Creativity of a Russian Woman", where the vocal lyrics by Elizaveta Kochubey, Anna Esipova, Lyubov Strikher, Valentina Ramm, Yulia Veisberg, "The Origins of the French Romance" - from the 13th century to the songs of the French Revolution, were performed. In 1936, Vera Dukhovskaya returned to Moscow, became a soloist of the All-Union Touring and Concert Association, but did not lose contact with the Leningrad Philharmonic. In the winter of 1937, from the Philharmonic Concert Bureau, she gives two solo concerts in the Chapel, accompanied by the Moscow pianist Vladimir Donato = [a13900306] (real name Natan Shulman = [a4048018], 1906-1983), who received his pseudonym under funny circumstances from Sergei Yesenin = [a812245] himself. But Vera Dukhovskaya gives her first and only solo concert in the Great Hall in March 1938, accompanied by Sofia Davydova = [a7454475]. Her performance with the Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by [a833033] will also be single: on November 12, 1938, she will perform Alexandrov's "Children's Songs". Dukhovskaya will appear on the stage of the Great Hall several more times in combined, more often daytime, concerts for the target audience with the Soviet repertoire. The performer of the piano part is not listed in these programs. But, most likely, it was Sofya Davydova: in February 1941, Vera Dukhovskaya will take part in the anniversary program dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the pianist's artistic activity, to her accompaniment in October 1939 she will give a solo concert from Tchaikovsky's romances in the Glazunov Conservatory Hall ( at that time it was one of the chamber venues of the Philharmonic), on April 27, 1943, they will perform together in Novosibirsk, where the Philharmonic was evacuated during the war. In the same place, in February 1943, Dukhovskaya's solo concert with pianist Pavel Valdgardt = [a5027805] will take place. After the war, Vera Dukhovskaya did not come to Leningrad with concerts. In 1948, she left her concert career and until 1957 taught at the Musical College. |

Search | Add | 5 | Sebastian A. Dusza | Sebastian Arkadiusz Dusza | Sebastian Arkadiusz Dusza was born in 1978. Already as a child he became interested in music. His first simple compositions started to appear in 1984. During his whole childhood, Sebastian had contact with various music genres, from classical music to rock and metal. Already in his elementary school, he got his first toy synthesizer which he used to learn how to play, strumming what he heard. Then music paled into insignificance for a while due to exploring other passions and of course school chores, yet fascination with electronic music remained. In 1995, Sebastian’s parents got him his first PC with a soundcard which resulted in first attempts of composing music using Scream Tracker, and next Fast Tracker software. In 1996, he gave life to music project under the name Citadel of Mo. When asked about what inspired him to do so, the author stated that “the idea to create a music project came to being from the hidden urge to create music which slumbered somewhere within.” The project’s output includes several dozen of works starting from club techno, and ending on mellow moods of electronic music. Sebastian Dusza remains the leader and main producer of Citadel of Mo, while the project itself is open to cooperation with other artists. In 2005, Sebastian discovered VSTi virtual instruments and the FL Studio software. At that time, he decided to recapitulate on his most interesting works up to date in the form of his first mini-album, “Data From the Sky“. In 2006, Sebastian bought a MIDI keyboard. He started to build his home studio. In December the very same year, a new album, entitled “Next Chapter” appeared. This was his first album which came to being already in a uniform editing environment. In 2007, works of Citadel of Mo appeared in the autopilot of El-Stacja (El-Station), a non-commercial internet radio broadcasting Polish electronic music. That year, a musical motive for the movie “Agent 700: Kryptonim N.” (”Agent 700: Codename N.“) was created and distributed as an mp3 maxi-single through a website. A broadcast in El-Stacja dedicated in total to Citadel of Mo appeared a year later. 2008 became a virtuous circle for Citadel of Mo. On May 15th the broadcast of Jerzy Kordowicz (in the third channel of the Polish radio) featured “Planet RX” as a bonus to Piotr Krupski’s “Elbing 1904″, on May 31st the same composition appeared in El-Stacja in Markowe granie (Mark’s Playlist), and on July 11th once again in the broadcast of Jerzy Kordowicz. Sebastian A. Dusza derives inspiration for his works from different music genres, from classical to popular music, and ethnic music from various part of the world. His works are included in the following compilations: Contemporary Electronic Soundscapes vol. III - “ROBOT FAIRY TALES” (”Voyage Through the Stars (Robot Voice version)“) and Contemporary Electronic Soundscapes vol. IV - “THE DARK SIDE OF THE MIND” (”Dark Side of the Soul“). In the third channel of the Polish radio Jerzy Kordowicz broadcasted, apart from “Planet RX“, “Voyage Through the Stars (Robot Voice Version)” from the album CES III. El-Stacja broadcasted such compositions as “One Day in Gdynia“, “Behind the Mind” and “Onse madonse (feat. DJ Placus)“, and in addition “Third Eye” which came as 2nd in its premiere charts. |

Search | Add | 5 | FR' Mystery | Gwarn Music | [a=Tony Henry] was originally going to keep the [a=52nd Street] name active and carry on releasing music under the heading. [a=Lorna Bailey] a music graduate from Birmingham but studying at Manchester University joined him in 1990. After a dormant year at Virgin\10, they finally released Henry from his contract and allowed him to take the [a=52nd Street] name. [a=Cool Down Zone] were still in that period signed to the label. Henry and Bailey worked on songs for almost a year. The sound and direction they created was more akin to gospel tinged Nubian Soul. The two standout tracks 'I Just Wanna Be' and 'Somebody's Gonna Get Hurt' got the attention in 1991 of A&R Director Pete Edge at WEA Records UK. In order not to cause confusion between the two acts, as Henry remained close friends with his former band mates and would invite both [a=Tony Bowry] and [a=Mike Wilson] to play on various tracks, a decision was made to retire the 52nd Street name and thus [a=FR' Mystery] was born. Whilst discussions at WEA were progressing, Edge was offered a major position in New York which he took with immediate affect. Edge suggested that FR' Mystery did the deal with him in New York but Bailey still had a year and a half at university and Henry had just returned from living in LA, recording (in his words) a terrible third 52nd Street album. Henry decided to take FR' Mystery down the independent route instead. With financial help from the band's music publishers Virgin Music, Tony Henry formed record label Gwarn Music in 1991. In 1994 he was invited to bring the label to New Order manager [a=Rob Gretton]'s Rob's Records for distribution. Gretton had invited 52nd Street to come to Factory Records in 1982. |

Search | Add | 5 | The Rhymney Silurian Male Choir | The Rhymney Silurian Male Choir was formed in 1951 and swiftly established a reputation for the quality of its performance and variety of its repertoire. The desire to embrace musical innovation has been its trademark throughout its history. There have been three main areas of development for the Choir:- competition, concert and international friendship and exchanges. During the almost 60 years of its existence the Choir has never rested on its laurels, to do so would have resulted in musical decline. On the competition stage the Choir has amassed no fewer than four National Eisteddfod titles, five Championships:- Cheltenham Choral Gold Cup and the Cornish Open Championship to name just two. The repertoire of male choirs have been enhanced and enriched with the commissioning of music from composers such as Mervyn Burtch and the late William Mathias. Balanced against this strive for perfection through the musical discipline of competitions, the Choir has also channelled its energies into the promotion and support through concerts of various national and international charities such as heart and cancer appeal funds. It has even been invited to support a Royal Gala Concert at the thjeatre in Windsor and even a concert at Eton College under the chairmanship of a certain Sir Terry Worgan. One of the Choir's major projects in the late 1980's was the support given following the Mexican Earthquake disaster when it made a topical football record to coincide with the Mexican World Cup and donated all profits to the Children's Orphanage Fund headed by our ambassador and also the Placido Domingo Fund.
