Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Jettison Charlie | Jettison Charlie is from Richmond, Virginia, USA. The band started when its members were in high school and lasted through their mid-20s. In the songs you can hear traces of punk, metal, reggae, pop, indie, sampling, and whatever else caught the members' fancy at the time. The band was probably too arty for the hardcore crowd and too hardcore for the arty crowd. That's another way of saying they created their own style. An early self-released single ("Probably Die Poor" / "Like John Donne") paved the way for incessant touring. After a couple lineup changes, they recorded their sole album, "Hitchhiking To Budapest," on Turn of the Century Records. It was followed by a single, "Legions of the Unjazzed" / "I Love You You Bastard," on Peas Kor Records. Bassist Chris Adler went on to play drums in Burn the Priest, Lamb of God, and Megadeth. Drummer Noal Clark went on to form Grouser. Guitarist / singer Bob Massey went on to play in Telegraph Melts, Tsunami, the Out_Circuit, the Gena Rowlands Band, and to compose soundtracks, scores, and a post-punk multimedia opera (with David Wilson), "The Nitrate Hymnal."

Search | Add | 3 | Alberto La Tassa | Alberto Costantino La Tassa | Artist from Italy. Born in 1986, Alberto La Tassa is an Italian artist issued from a family engaged with the arts since 1820. La Tassa started practicing on different disciplines from early childhood. After obtaining his diploma in Padova, he moved to Venice, where he still lives and works, graduating with first class honors at the Venice Academy of Fine Arts. Eclectic and multifaceted, the artist explores and controls with graceful and powerful technique different forms of art: painting, sculpture, graphic and jewelry design . He paints and creates art with a perfect mastery of the artistic languages, showing a complex and interesting range of techniques, from painting and drawing to sculpture and engraving. Observing his works, you have the “impression of being in front of an expert who draws inspiration from the masterpieces of the ancient times”.Classic gestures and “maniere” coexist with a modern and eccentric extravaganza, reflected in all the aspects of this dandy’s art and life style. Byzantine and Venetians fragments of colors, Baroque architectures, surrealistic dreams and hyperrealistic details: they all share the same canvases and stand out in front of the observer. This is a golden world populated by extravagant figures: emperors and queens, hermaphrodites and freaks, Mars and Venus. They are in constant conflict and attraction: the climax is a fusion of masculine and feminine, black and white, opulence and emptiness. A refined erotism shows through his works: “provoked desires and passion, are whispered in the ear of a lover as if they were words that become languidly colors”. “Naked statuesque bodies are perfectly refined, you can almost hear the rustle of silken fabrics, bucolic or unreal landscapes return to us as famous mythological scenes”. Looking through these art works it is visible that what inspires La Tassa could be defined as a collage of experiences: memories, desires, fantasies and undefined erotic suggestions. These aspects impose, repulse and blend to each other, creating a new perfectly balanced oneiric dimension. What is always present and characterizes La Tassa’s paintings is the constant research of pure beauty. This is not just an element of his production, but it is the key to understand the whole work itself: beauty as a shocking experience for the spectator, and the artist at the same time. His art is an ideal place, full of references from a personal past and present, that can be seen and shared as universal. Contemplating La Tassa’s works you can perceive the feeling of being accepted in an intimate space, made of lights and shadows, usually reserved for the artist only. |

Search | Add | 3 | Killages | Killages is a Georgian alternative hip-hop group from Rustavi, founded in 2016. During their 5 years of activity, the group has undergone several changes in terms of sound - if at first they tried to combine pop, rock, funk and hip-hop - today their sound mainly combines an interesting synthesis of electronic music and hip-hop written in English. In 2017, they became the winners of the Newcomer competition, which gave them the opportunity to introduce their work to wider audiance - this is the period when their famous hit, "ON/OFF" was recorded, which together with 3 additional songs of the group has more than a million streams on various platforms - in total the group's work It collects more than 5 million views annually through YouTube. This paved the way for a completely new stage for the group, during which their audience, in addition to local listeners, grew significantly outside the country. In 2020, the group released their debut album, "Original Brothers", which was recorded with the direct involvement and help of listeners. Since 2021, Killages has been consistently on Spotify's Georgian charts as one of the most listened-to Georgian music projects - and 2 of their songs are featured every month among the 10 most listened-to Georgian compositions. This, of course, soon attracted the attention of the foreign press, and articles were written about them in such international publications as "Wetransfer", "Calvert Journal" and others. As a result, the band has more than 11,000 listeners on Spotify every month, and 70% of them are from outside Georgia.

Search | Add | 3 | мʌvʌ | мʌvʌ is audiovisual artist who comes from Slovakia. Prior to songwriting, he had been writing poetry for several years. He never attended any music classes, so to compensate for it he started experimenting with different sounds, structures, rhythms and melodies. After recording some virtual piano demos at dorm which later turned into songs, he self-released debut album "Sinusoidal" under artistic name мʌvʌ in April 2016. Sonically, the record is a tilting mix of artificial and organic sounds, heaviness represented by grandiose church pipe and reed organs and lightness by uplifting solemn synth strings. In 2017, short 4-track EP of covers titled "Lues" came to life. It comprises of his own renditions of popular tracks from the late 50’s and early 60’s era. Trying to improve his skills, мʌvʌ decided to teach himself acoustic guitar. These attempts gave birth to the sophomore acoustic record "Enklávy bezlesia" [in English "Forest-free Enclaves"]. All songs (unlike those on the first album) are sung in Slovak language andhave their individual audiovisual presentation (music video, lyric video, photographies, herbarium). The album is primarily based on wordplay and its style is called "Slovák retrogard" in order to refer to the retrospective aspect of lyrics presented in new unorthodox context. The third record titled "Sun & Moon" explores living in the nether world with intricate animal aesthetics conveyed by vocal experiments, combining organic instrumentals with gloomy sounds of vintage synths.

Search | Add | 3 | Marty Levitt | Marty Levitt (1930-2008) was born in Brooklyn, New York. His father was a well-respected musician in the Yiddish Theatre and Jewish Music scene. His mother had come to the United States from Poland a few years before. Marty started booking his own gigs at age seventeen. This included weddings, bar mitzvahs, and many dinners for Jewish organizations or "landshaftn." He worked with such notables as Abe Schwartz, Nathan Ritholz, and many others. He also began working the Catskills every summer starting in 1947. Marty remained a busy bandleader in Brooklyn, as well as in Jewish nightclubs on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. In 1956 a young singer named Harriet Kane auditioned for Marty's band. They married the next year. Together they made a record for the Tikva label in 1959 called "Party Memories." Marty followed with an instrumental album called "Wedding Dances" in 1962, also for Tikva. During the late 1950s Marty saw the demand for Jewish music diminish. He incorporated more continental music into his repertoire. such as Polish tangos, Hungarian dances, Israeli folk songs, etc. Harriet learned to sing all this material in each specified language. This enabled them to become very popular with the Jews who had made it through the war. They were so busy that they stopped going to work each summer in the Catskills after the 1964 season. Marty still managed to sneak in a hora or a bulgar on every engagement. There were a few more recordings made in the 1960s, e.g. "Bar Mitzvah Favorites" in 1965, and "Marty Levitt goes Continental " in 1968. The Levitts continued to be busy into the 1970s and then recorded a couple of more albums. While working with Fran records Marty did "50 Chassidic Hits" in 1973 with a ten-piece band. This was followed by "A Jewish Wedding," which was an album narrated by radio star Art Raymond and arranged by Nat Brooks. The family moved to Florida in 1977. This was where Marty "reunited" with many of his clientele who had moved south. One of the things Marty did while in Florida was start a radio show. "Freilach Time" was an hour-long show which aired on Sunday mornings in Miami on radio station WDNA. Levitt used his extensive Jewish record collection to play on the air. Some featured acts were: The Feder Sisters, Jan Peerce, Dave Tarras and others. The show was produced solely on listener contributions and ran for two periods of time in 1980-81 as well as in 1982. This was also the beginning of the klezmer revival. Marty started arranging an album of klezmer music that he would record after moving back to Brooklyn in 1983. There were also some vocals by Harriet as well. These recordings were titled "King of the Klezmer," Volumes 1 and 2. In 1985 Harriet Kane passed away after a short battle with cancer. Marty slowed down his work a lot, as he knew she was irreplaceable. He did go on to record "Klezmer Wedding " in 1991, which featured his son Dave on trombone. Marty became a popular interview for ethnomusicologists studying klezmer music. He was quoted in many publications and provided old pictures to be used in some works as well. In later years he started to write many of these klezmer melodies to be preserved for future generations.
