Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | B[OO]M | Boom Comics released its first issue in December 1991, and received great feedback and eventually was distributed throughout Toronto area record stores. Boom Comics began as an outlet for many graphic artists in Toronto’s hip hop scene to do more than just flyers. Themes ranged from racism, stereotyping and overpolicing and the comic also included album reviews of local artists, charts and advertisements. Issues also included record reviews and sometimes included mixtapes with new local music. | |

Search | Add | 3 | Johnny Regan | recently came across this info On Johnny Regan on a website devoted to Band / Groups from the Potumna, Co. Galway Region Hi Ian you have me stumped on a couple of the lads but left to right they are JJ Lombard from Mallow (Bass)Tony Kirby Clonakilty (Fiddle) The lad in the middle I'm not sure neither the the guy next to him. I'm sure one played trumpet and one sax. next to them on right is Shay Spain Nenagh (Drums) Me Johnny in the Middle then left is Johnny Rush from Thurles (Keyboards) and John O'Brian Dublin Guitar John O'Brian incidentally is a member of Bagatelle and still picking great guitar. Check out the pic!! John Regan cyrusfilms@eircom.net Johnny Regan and The Tumbleweeds was a top English modern country band in the sixties based in London. We worked on American bases throughout Europe. Some of the great country Artists we worked with in those days were. Tammy Wynett, Melba Montgomery, Hank Snow, Hank Locklin, Slim Whitman, Charlie Pride and my great old mate Willie Nelson. Plus many more. Some of my Tumbleweed band members over that period included. Roger Dean (ex John Mayall) Albert Lee (ex Hogan’s heroes, Emmy Lou Harris, and an Emmy winner in his own right) Jerry West (a regular with Slim Whitman on Steel guitar) Johnny Boniface on Drums and (recently with Georgie Fame) Dave Peacock on bass. (Dave is the other half of Chas and Dave a super star act in London. A appearance on the “Life of Riley” TV show in 1969. was watched by Dance hall entrepreneur Con Hynes from @Portumna, Co. Galway He approached me and asked if I would come to Ireland, and form a Show Band. The money and conditions of the contract were great so over I came. I collected a great bunch of musicians JJ Lombard,(Bass) Shay Spain (Drums and driver extraordinaire), Tony Kirby (Fiddle and vocals) Johnny Rush (Keyboards) Senan Drury (Keyboards) John O’Brian (Guitar)Myself on Rhythm guitar, We also had a Steel player who’s name I can’t recollect but often supplemented by that top picker Basil Henriques At the time I was already signed to the Decca record label and had made an album titled “The Tumbleweeds live at the Hitching post” ( Leixlip). However I signed up with Con’s own label “Quality records” and made a number of singles. “ If the world turned into Ashes” “Stand beside me” “Four strong winds” etc. Life in Portumna was a wonderful experience I always knew I would end my days living in Ireland. However my fiancée had other plans and at the death knell of the show band scene we married and took off for Australia. We enjoyed Australia for thirty years, raised two fine boys. I developed a career as a Musician, Actor, and Video Film Maker. Oh how the years fly. So now, here I am back these last three years, living in Barna Galway. I have been working in a three piece pub band called “Top Form” Ronnie Mangan ex Indians on drums and Noel Keane (Sean’s brother on Bass) I had to leave Top form after a heart operation. However now I’m fully recovered, and as fit as a Mally Bull (Aussie _expression) and am the producer/Director of my own Video production Company “Cyrus Films International” I still love to sing and play guitar and tenor sax. I am on the lookout for another band to join... If you have any contacts with any of the musicians I have mentioned here I would love to catch up with them again and chat over old times. |Perhaps somebody out there knows some of them. Search | Add | 3 | Mascara Quartet | Mascara Quartet | Polona Udovič (voice, violin), Timi Krajnc (guitar), Vojko Vešligaj (guitar) Mitja Režman (bass guitar) About Mascara Quartet Polona Udovič (voice, violin), Timi Krajnc (guitar), Vojko Vešligaj (guitar) and Mitja Režman (bass guitar) are classically trained musicians, acclaimed at home and abroad. The Quartet is a reflection of their valuable musical experiences and their deep understanding of music, their artistic careers and their intensive work with numerous artists, chamber groups, orchestras, ensembles, in concert halls and at festivals around the world. The storm of passion and the peace of the ocean, which rests somewhere amid the Iberian Peninsula, South America and their rich folklore, is the musical muse that connects Polona, Timi, Vojko and Mitja. Mascara explores the space inside and outside of the field of classical music; cautiously, respectfully, it colors over the line with a brush of tense strings and the warmth of human voice. Their music expresses so powerfully, so directly and so concisely that poignant longing captured on the streets of Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Lisbon... halfway between bordellos and milongas... joy and a sad melancholy feeling...amongst merchants, sailors and African immigrants...it's the music played at night when all kinds of masks are allowed (mascara - Spanish word for mask), the music which comes with moonshine and dies down at daybreak... Musicians are brought together by a historical crossroads and it is here that they meet every night - those who are still around and those who have long since passed away...On a street corner there is still Mascara Cafe...If you get closer, you will here the music of Mariza, Dulce Pontes, Astor Piazzolla and of many others... of those who have escaped salon parquet floors and cliches. |

Search | Add | 3 | Aramansa Brew | Ginger Aramansa Brew | Ginger "Aramansa" Brew was born into a family of artist, her father was a writer and a poet and was also a diplomat (Ambassador of Ghana). Third out of three daughters, at the tender age of six months, she started traveling the world over with her parents on their mission representing Ghana from one country to the other (U.S.A., Great Britain, Mexico, Lebanon etc...) All of this not only served to enlighten her in her school education, but also taught her to embrace worlds of different races, cultures and traditions, which today has influenced her choice, tastes and love for music. Thanks to her parents she grew up listening jazz, soul, r&b, gospel and basically learned to sing way before she could talk. As a soloist she has recorded a number of singles for various recording studios both in and outside of Italy, where she resides. She has had the opportunity to work with several artists including Paolo Conte with whom she still collaborates and Mariah Carey doing tracking vocals. In this new project in collaboration with [a=Mahjong], she is expressing that part of her nature which is indeed multicultural, trying at the same time not to forget her roots. But feeling the need to add a pinch of jazz, a sprinkle of afro and a little bit of this, that and the other. |

Search | Add | 3 | Randy Bickford | Brice Randall Bickford | It’s been a decade since Brice Randall Bickford began performing under the name “The Strugglers.” In this time, he has released five albums, toured the world, and earned a reputation as a master of subtle, narrative songwriting. Bickford's dense, poetic lyrics imbue his compositions with an enduring vitality, rewarding the listener with additional layers of meaning upon each successive listen. One might expect the transition to “solo artist” to find Bickford turning further inward, pursuing more confessional writing. While he now acknowledges his project as the work of a solitary songwriter, Bickford has instead chosen to broaden the focus, examining the external world and the thoughts and experiences of characters other than himself—particularly women. But these are not relationship songs. Rather they are portraits of female personae on a direct, post-romantic level. |

Today 8 compilations, 20 ep, 100 artists from Europe and 150 digital tracks is out !! His musical vision in fusing a multitude of highly energetic musical styles. His unique style is something much more than the traditional "house" or "techno" music. He love experimenting by mixing up different music styles, which result in an unexpectedly good combination. It's a high deep energy inside. In the early 90s, the first « pirate » FM radios appear in the French West Indies. “102 Graffiti” (Guadeloupe), is where (dj Czam) started as a dj/selector and programmer. Working at the radio station, he often spent more than 10 hours of non-stop broadcasting. Also, thiswas where MASSIVE ATTACK’s single was first played and without even knowing it, he took part in their promotion. |
