Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | KCHÖRTOO | KCHÖRTOO is an alternative rock project inspired by the Ural lore. It was started in 2010 as a solo project by Stepan Samokhin (a.k.a. Stephan Friedman), who was born in the Urals and is currently residing in the Levant. From the Russian, K Chortoo (“к чёрту”) translates literally as “To the devil!”, which can be used either as “Go to hell!”, or as a response to the “break a leg” wish, depending on the context. The field recordings and samples, which permeate KCHÖRTOO’s songs and musical sketches create an atmosphere of ethereal mystery and magical folktales. KCHÖRTOO’s first full-length album SARANCHA was released on May Eve 2018.

Search | Add | 3 | Dorle J. Soria | Dorle Jarmel Soria | Dorle Soria (14 Dec 1900—7 July 2002) was an American classical music impresario, publicist, and journalist from New York. She served as [a388185]'s publicity director for 24 years and co-founded several renowned labels with her husband, Dario Pellegrino Soria (1912–1980), including [l7505] and RCA Victor's [l380603]. After graduating from [l203349], Dorle Jarmel worked as a journalist for several years before joining a prolific talent manager and [l=CBS] founder, Arthur Leon Judson (1881–1975). She became N.Y. Philharmonic's press manager in June 1929—months before it embarked on the historical European tour under the new maestro, [a=Arturo Toscanini]. (Essentially, Dorle was responsible for Toscanini's rapid growth to international superstardom). She worked for Judson's Columbia Artists Management until April 1953 and promoted many notable N.Y. Phil events, such as [a=Leonard Bernstein]'s debut 1943 appearance or the '51 European tour. In 1942, Dorle Jarmel married Dario Soria, an Italian entrepreneur who recently immigrated to the United States. An avid opera aficionado, Dario founded [l568902] label in 1948—perhaps, the first American record company to release full-length operas on LP. According to William F. Weaver, one of the most authoritative Italian operatic translators, Dorle personally insisted on including complete librettos both in Italian and English with each Cetra-Soria album. (This layout subsequently became standard for all US opera labels.) In 1953, Dorle and Dario, who just sold Cetra-Soria to [l=Capitol Records], co-founded [l=Angel Records] in New York. [l=EMI] recently lost the North American distribution deal with [l=Columbia Records], so the major label hired Sorias to direct a brand-new USA classical outlet. For branding, Dorle and Dario settled on the once-legendary 'Recording Angel' label (initially used by Gramophone Company in the early XX-century). They produced almost 500 albums in less than five years, with critics praising Angel's essential repertoire and unprecedented quality. The label, indeed, set new standards for the industry: flawless imported UK pressings, comprehensive liner notes, eloquent libretto translations, booklets with splendid full-color reproductions (printed in Europe), etc. Dorle organized several high-profile events to promote the label's roaster, such as [a=Maria Callas] opera balls with [l372665] and [a4618521]. In 1958, after EMI merged Angel with [l=Capitol Records] and switched to domestic pressings, Sorias left. They assisted Italian composer [a2500093] in organizing the inaugural Festival Dei Due Mondi in Spoleto and soon returned to the United States. That same year, Dorle and Dario launched a new [l380603] for [l=RCA Victor]—essentially, an "ultra-deluxe" imprint within an already premium Red Seal catalog. Dorle received two Grammy Awards nominations in 1963 for best classical albums cover for [a=Julian Bream]'s [m=628027] and [a=Herbert Von Karajan]'s [m=269449] 2xLP in this series. In the seventies, Dorle Soria predominantly focused on her journalistic career, regularly contributing to [a5291706], [a3007900], and [a4192162]. In March 1980, her husband Dario—who retired as the [l201156]'s managing director in '77 but still occasionally consulted MET Opera on historical recordings—succumbed to a heart attack working at the Lincoln Center's Rodgers and Hammerstein Archives. To commemorate Dario's lifelong passion for opera, Dorle J. Soria revived the 'Soria Series' and produced Metropolitan Opera Historic Broadcasts collection. (One of the releases, [r=15367770] 3xLP, received the "Historic Record of the Year" award from the Opus Magazine in Oct 1986.) She also authored 'The Metropolitan Opera Guide' historical monograph in 1982. |

Search | Add | 3 | Patrik L Johansson | Played straight heavy metal drums in the school band Vital Force in Sweden, Iron Maiden covers a.o. same years songs came out and own material, later founder of [a=Sorcery] with other founding members; his 3rd cousin [a=Fredrik Nygren] who united with [a= Ola Malmström], [a= Magnus Karlsson-Mård] and [a=Paul Johansson] in a group then called Acid Queen, and thus [a=Sorcery] was born, heavily inspired by Mercyful Fate, Kreator & Deathrow a.o. (though Sorcery existed in the imagination of Patrik already in 1985 inspired by Celtic Frost a.o.); their second demo would have been named Rivendell as a theme with 3 Dark Angel type of music songs (those written by Patrik like the song Halloween on their first demo), the band however wanted to join the new grindmetal scene, Patrik and Fredrik left the band due to differences in music and all agreed that Sorcery kept their name; so he's not on the album since they changed genres in 1989 though he seems to be on the frontcover... =)>>> (fullbearded man) So later Patrik L Johansson founded Rivendell playing more technometal/fusion drums with highpitch singer [a=Conny Åström], bass player Petter Eriksson from Higher Ground and Peter Sjöberg who later on changed genre to growl vocalbands and became Peter Lake in Theory in Practice...(PL first heard of Mekong Delta from Patrik having all their albums and knowing some of the songs on drums, so they jammed some MD as well as playing Yngwie's instrumental style early on, later PL laid some solos on MD records...but early 90's they strived to be Swedens best techno metal band, at least in rehearsals they were, nowadays that style is heard in Mastodon and Anima Morte songs)...before their record deal they (as a trio: Patrik with Peter & keyboardist/bass player Matthias from TIP) used to have jam sessions with classical influenced music and fusion as Mahavishnu, Confessor a.o. and rehearsals in the Sorcery/Rivendell place with own songs in that genre, much in the same way as Patrik's favorite band Lamb of God started inspired by Confessor early 90's and as LOG later on circa 1999 He shares the same grandancestors in the 5th generation on his mother's side with composer Bo Linde who studied under an old favorite composer Lars-Erik Larsson, and was a friend of Hans Eklund from the same county; and just like Bo Linde he don't follow trends but likes music with a deeper meaning. Another relative he never met was [a=Wolf Johansson], his father's cousin who had the same attitude towards music. He learned drums though from the local big band's drummer [a=Rolf Andersson] at an early age, where Wolf played at times. Jazz have always been a big part of the rockbands he likes, any famous good rock drummer always have listened to jazz. During Wolf's last years they e-mailed about shared ancestry information. He also has named the local Viking society where he lives Fafner, and made english translations for his mother's local history society in the neighbouring village around which he also works with genealogy as an Ancestor Detector. Favorite TV-show (since no more good old american series seems to happen anymore) is Black Adder's sidekick as host in Time Team and the coolest fullbearded (like himself) ZZ Top-style men on TV, though a pescatorian...in Duck Dynasty.

Search | Add | 3 | Red McCoy | Wayne Evon Busbice | Wayne Evon Busbice (1929-2011), who performed and recorded in the fifties and sixties as Red McCoy, is probably most remembered for two things; being the older brother of the troubled and brilliant bluegrass mandolinist/tenor Buzz Busby, and for having written and recorded a strange pseudo-Rockabilly track, "Rock And Roll Atom". Red and Buzz were Louisiana farm boys whose life trajectories could not have been more stark in their differences. While Buzz led a life riddled with drug and alcohol problems, prison stints, and a shattered career, brother Wayne’s many faceted career involved distinguished military service, advanced higher education, and a long run in music as a performer, recording artist and producer. Late in life he authored a volume on the family history of the Busbice name in Louisiana titled "Uncovering the Secrets of a Southern Family: A Memoir", about which a press release states "But the undercurrent of Wayne's life remained a driving need to uncover the family secret: a killing the adults whispered about when they gathered behind closed doors. Wayne discovered he was living under a false name; Cousin Allen was really his grandfather; and Allen had lived a double life as a fugitive from the Pinkerton detectives of the 1890s." |

Search | Add | 3 | The Heage Band | Brass band. based in Nether Heage, mid-Derbyshire, United Kingdom. Heage Band began providing musical entertainment for the people of the local area way back in 1916. The band was formed with the intention of not only making music but creating a social group open to everyone regardless of age or ability who shared the brass band ‘bug’. Times may have changed from those early days of the Great War and King George V but their vision has certainly not. Thanks to years of hard work the band rehearses in its own practice hall, owns a comprehensive set of instruments and is gifted with a library of around 3000 pieces of music, providing a repertoire to suit any occasion. The versatility of the band is second to none with public performances including weddings, garden parties, and traditional park concerts, not forgetting high profile appearances at Pride Park and Derby University Graduation days.

The classic early lineup was completed by [a=J. Edward Nuttall], the first in a string of bass players. When drummer Palmer left in 1991, then-bassist [a=Andrew Clare] took on the additional task of writing drum programmes for the band. With second guitarist [a=Mike Shreeve] on board for the last phase of their career, Nitro Puppy achieved a punchier, more accomplished sound, arguably at the expense of their early erratic charm. The band split sometime in the early 1990s.

Search | Add | 3 | Impurity of Mriya | Impurity of Mriya was a progressive deathcore band from Las Vegas in Nevada, active between 2009 and 2012. Having influences such as Carnifex, Whitechapel, All Shall Perish, Molotov Solution, Impending Doom, Born Of Osiris, and Burning The Masses, Impurity Of Mriya brings a feel of technical deathmetal as well as the simplicity of hardcore. Groovin' music, mind-blowing breakdowns, heavy guitar riffs, their 7-string guitars, 8-string guitars, and 5 string bass along with weird time signatures is what makes this band. They have played with national acts such as Suicide Silence, As I Lay Dying, Born Of Osiris, Molotov Solution, Cattle Decapitation, and many more. Roderick Spenner- Vocals Chris Roupp- Guitar Jackie Santamaria- Guitar Izzy Rodriguez- Bass Shane Martinez- Drums Former Members: Preston Graff- Vocals (2011-2011) Chris Reyes- Vocals (2010-2011) Mike Parrish - Vocals (2009-2010) Daniel Faukner - Guitar (2010)

Search | Add | 3 | BeyonDévon | Over the years and in throughout the bands many logos the band has stylized their name as BeyonDévon, Beyon Dévon, and Beyon Devon. The most common variation (used on the "A Step Beyon" demo, their 1991 T-shirts, and multiple band logos) is the one-word version, BeyonDévon. Formed in 1988, originally as a cover band. But by early 1989 they had begun writing their own original songs, the first being "Endless Journey" and "Tripsis". Soon after this though, they split with drummer Keith Porter, singer Brian Miller, and guitarist John Stafford. After this they assembled a new lineup and dropped all cover songs, going all-original. The new lineup, fronted by former-Breaker/Blue Steel/Emperor singer Steve Russell, broke out into the Cleveland Metal scene with constant live shows, quickly expanding on the already sizeable following built by the early lineup. They played frequently with Autumn's Ruin, Lanz End, Andromeda, Medalyon, Mercury, Vatican, New Régime, Bison, Donatello and many more. They also played with numerous national acts such as Vicious Rumors, Manowar, Blue Oyster Cult, The Godz, and more. During this time they released their debut demo, "A Step Beyon", in 1990 which has since become extremely rare. Soon after the release of the demo, however, they began to take their music in a much more Progressive direction, citing influences such as "No Exit" era Fates Warning, Crimson Glory, early Queensrÿche, etc. They independently recorded 5 of these new songs on 8-tracks, creating a second demo, and planning to record these, in addition to two others in studio to record their debut album, whose title had not been decided yet. The album would have included the 5 demo songs, "Never the Same", "Live to Die" "Revelations", "Way of the World", "Edens Fall" and others, as well as "One Way Love" and "Angel". While in the studio in 1991, however, BeyonDévon disbanded and the album was never completed, the songs that were finished remain unreleased. Steve Russell and Christopher Michael went on to co-found the Scorpions tribute band Lovedrive in 1991, which Russell recently re-activated, while Steve went on to Theater of Madness and Chris rejoined Keith Porter in Shadowplay. Brian Miller went on to sing for Amon-Ra and Prodigy. Chris later rejoined John Stafford in Twist of Fate. Dave and Rick Rasicci, Brian Berisford, and John Stafford would also go onto play in Moments of Brilliance, before and David and John continued together in the multi-genre-spanning Groove/Nu-metal/Hard Rock/Alternative/Grunge band Thirteen in the 2000s.

Search | Add | 3 | Tsunami Rising | Tsunami Rising | Tsunami Rising formed in the winter of 2003 as a three piece act playing punk influenced reggae and ska around the South Jersey and Philly scenes promoting a self-produced, 10 song release. A new singer in 2005 brought new energy and influences of rock and hip hop to the group and the evolution of their sound has been evident. The band began to develop their niche in the local music scene playing Atlantic City and Philadelphia regularly while expanding to New York’s the Knitting Factory, Asbury Park’s Stone Pony, Philly’s Grape Street Pub, North Star Bar, Pontiac Grille, Trocadero and more. In January 2007 Tsunami Rising organized their first East Coast tour and has been hitting the road often since. Since, the band has toured both coasts and is continuously playing regionally. The addition of a new guitarist in Spring 2009 has added a progressive touch to the Tsunami style. Tsunami Rising continues to grow as individuals and as a band bringing their style of conscious reggae-rock along with their strong message to listeners all over. |

Search | Add | 3 | Selma Shelley | Selma Shelley began her career in Christian music at the early age of three when her father took her to sing for the men in an Army camp during World War I. In their Christian home in North Dakota, Selma and the other children of the large family found in music their greatest recreation. Each child endeavored to become proficient in the playing of musical instruments and the family circle orchestra found great pleasure in playing the old hymns and classics. When Selma was nine she took the all-important step of making her profession of faith in Christ in an evangelistic meeting in the Baptist church which the family attended. A year later she began her formal study of music. She was frequently called upon to sing solos, and when she was fifteen she had become the regular church pianist. Moving to Seattle, Washington, and later in Washington, D. C., she became contralto soloist in a number of churches. In the nation's capital she was featured as soloist on a weekly concert program from WWDC. Back in Seattle, while working for the Navy Department at an Aircraft Company, she met her future husband, Bernard Shelley, who shared both her Christian faith and her devotion to Christian music. Their present home was built as a music center, with two complete studios for the recording of Christian music. Mrs. Shelley has been contralto soloist for nineteen years at the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Seattle. On this church's own radio station, KTW, she was soloist for the "Light for Today" program. For a number of years Mr. and Mrs. Shelley have produced their own program, "Inspirational Melodies", from this same station. Meanwhile, Mrs. Shelley has been in constant demand to sing for the Christian Business Men's radio program, and on numerous other programs, and at notable events such as the Easter Sunrise services. An almost fatal illness in Mrs. Shelley's life proved to be an experience which brought her into a closer fellowship with God and a deeper dedication of herself to His service. As a result, she turned from open doors in the field of secular music and found what she believes to be God's perfect will for her life — singing His praises and in teaching others. One of Selma Shelley's finest contributions to Christian music was the organization of the Seattle Children's Choir which meets regularly in her home. Another group which has attained musical excellence through her guidance is the Octet, whose songs are presented in this album. The octet arrangements are all by Mrs. Shelley.

Search | Add | 3 | Politicize | Farid Ahmed | Philadelphia is a place known for many things pertaining to the history of America. As of recent years entertainment has been a huge part of the cities identity making characters like “Rocky” a household name recognized on a worldwide level. It doesn’t stop with film, as music is also implanted deep into the cities roots. Enter the Philadelphia known to a young man named Farid Ahmed who is very proud to be of Pakistani and Indian decent. Farid had a nice life at home, was loved by his family greatly. School however was another story. “I was loved at home but was tortured at school. Sunday night was always the worst because I knew I had to go to school the next morning.” During his senior year in high school, Farid began to educate himself on the history of the Muslim world. Having traveled the globe from Pakistan to India, France, England, Mexico, Spain, Scotland, the Caribbean, Canada, Italy and many other locations, Farid learned about how unfortunately the differences between us that should unite seemed to divide more often than not. It was this realization along with his own experiences led him to create what is now known as an up and coming rap warrior, Politicize. Previously performing under the name Political Assasin, Farid has only been at it for a few years accomplishing more than what many have taken entire careers to do. Some of his highlights include: “Performing in front of large crowds, working with the likes of: Gillie Da Kid, Hush, Spice-1, having his music featured on several compilations and mixtapes including We Run The Streets mixtapes and being featured on the cover alongside Philly native Beani Sigel. His track “Restless” featuring Gillie Da kid was also featured on the We Run the Streets: Gillie Da Kid addition mixtape. His track “Drinkin on the Limca” was remixed and became the highest played song on the 770 Nin-Jah Lions 12 Tribes Street Vibes Mixtape which beat out re-mixes of songs by: Insane Clown Posse and Bizzy Bone to name a few. He also had a meeting with Thomas Lytle, VP of promotions at Def Jam Recordings.” Politicize was invited to perform at the 2012 Gathering of the Juggalos. Apart from his love for music and producing his own songs, he has also been successful as a graphic designer creating banners for Ryan Dawson’s website called Anti-Neocons. Apart from Assasin’s ability to write creatively in his music, he has also written editorials for Sports websites such as Sports Kings and Bleacher Report being and avid fan and practitioner of boxing for many years. He has also ventured outside of the US to promote his music being on Radio Fm Karachi in Pakistan with RJ Ali Anwar were he recorded a track in his native language Urdu for the show. Those are just a few of the many accomplishments of the short career that Politicize has already been blessed to have. His catalog thus far includes 3 mixtapes and one prolific album “Built from Struggle” received much press which included a 4.5 rating in Iconic rap publication Murder Dog Magazine. The album is currently sold on cd universe, iTunes, amazon, and cdbaby. The same publication also interviewed him as well as Down Magazine out of Washington State. At a time when Political rap is not well received because of the watered down mainstream monopoly, Farid has been able to capture an audience with his brand of reality-based rap which is sure to strike a nerve with anyone who has been through any kind of struggle. |
