Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

He was born in Detroit and began formal piano schooling at age six. Margaret Anderson was his teacher. Under her guidance he was one of the winners of an all City of Detroit classical contest, age fourteen group. Charlie's initial interest in jazz came from listening to his father's record collection. Charlie was a graduate from the University of Michigan with an M.A. in fine arts. Upon completion of his college degrees he enlisted in the U.S. Army, served three years, returned home, and began playing piano professionally around the Ann Arbor, Detroit, Toledo area. Search Add 3 Saskwatch Iron Underground hip-hop crew from The Bronx, NY. Some Facts : The whole concept of this project, meaning the group's name, the album's name, the cover's idea, the 90's feel concept overall, all but the lyrics, is the brainchild of Gorilla Glock, who then proposed it to Magnetic, who brought along Tofu. No Beats without lyrics, no lyrics without beats, but if it wasn't for Gorilla Glock's vision, this album wouldn't exist. I believed in Saskwatch Iron and created it. I see a lot of people always taking too much credit on various projects everywhere, so as Gorilla Glock, I'm clearing things up, and thanks to all people who were involved in bringing a physical form to my concept.

Search Add 3 Michael L Penman Michael is a young ambitious music engineer and sound designer. He has managed to solidify his skills across a wide range of genres and platforms. This has led he to work with many prestigious artists such as Photek, Gwen Stenfani, Switch, Asian Dub Foundation and many more. Having worked for other highly talented and influential artist is it that Michael has decided to turn his hand to producing. But instead of using his contacts in the mainstream of music culture he has took a drastic right turn and delved deep into music’s vast under belly. This seen him release a number of hits on Slovakian minimal label Leporelo. With each track possessing bouncy catchy bass lines, slamming drums and a wide array of glitched out percussion and effects. These delight little morsels soon tickled the taste buds of the M_nus crew, with “Moose Man” & “Greasy Love” being played week in and week out. Ambivalent was even so kind to have charted “Greasy Love” in his October Glass Half Full Chart. Soon many an opportunity came a knocking, which lead Michael to remix Yello’s infancies hit “Oh Yeah”. Also within this time he release a heavy darkroom sample pack on Sample Magic’s Sound to Sample, which has already received great support. Within this time he was featured in both Future Music and Computer Music magazines. Both magazine gave great reviews. Michael is currently working on some sexy house projects with Blond:ish, deep driven techno with Mynude and some soul moving classical with Hazlitt. In this time Michael has also opened his doors to other producers who need a experienced mix and master to help achieve their sonic dreams. He is quite simply a short email away. So stayed tuned cause there is a lot more to come from this up and coming artist.

Search Add 3 Lourdes Pita Lourdes Pita, of Hispanic heritage, picked up the guitar when she was nine years old. Her mother, the internationally acclaimed Cuban poet in exile, Juana Rosa Pita, taught her how to play the guitar and to sing Spanish and English folk songs. Lourdes studied classical music throughout elementary school and high school and played with the orchestra as second chair flute. It wasn’t until her last year of high school that she realized writing songs and performing was her true passion. Playing flute, bass and guitar, she performed with several bands in the Miami area before she set out on her own in 1986. Lourdes went from her first full time gig in a small pub in Stuart Florida to the streets of New England and has since appeared on television for an After School Special episode where she played bass in an all girl high school band, and opened up for such big name acts as Livingston Taylor and Patty Larkin. Sinking deep roots into the New England soil and the streets of Boston, she acquired numerous devoted fans. Since arriving in Boston, Lourdes has released three self-produced cassettes, which have all sold out and received favorable reviews from music critics. Now is the Time, the title track from her first CD in 1994, received extensive airplay from local college radio stations. It was also very well received in Spain, where it got regular airplay in Barcelona. It was also aired in Prague, and has gotten continuous airplay alongside Gloria Estefan’s “Reach” in the Czech Republic. With her second CD, In Control released in November of 2001, Lourdes plays all the acoustic guitars, a lot of the electric guitars and writes, produces and arranges all the songs. Her CD release concerts were a huge success and the CD received critical acclaim as well. In 2005 Now is the Time; (the anthem title track to her first CD) was chosen for a compilation CD out of Canada entitled “Peace Songs For a Better World Volume II”. It was released in February of 2006 and is currently getting worldwide airplay. Lourdes Pita’s album Seize the Dream, released in 2006, featured 13 new songs intended to capture the spirit of life in all of us. This collection of original songs was meant to help remind listeners how important it is never to give up and always keep dreams alive. As with the two preceding albums, Lourdes once again inspired listeners with themes of hope, love and peace. In the spring of 2010 Lourdes released her most ambitious and eclectic album to date, House of Light/Casa de Luz. In late 2022 Lourdes released her debut all Spanish language album Lamento Cubano

They formed in 2009 and have since released ‘Make believe’ (2012) and regularly perform live and at parties as well as music festivals. Aerolips music floats in the air, driven by romantic electric beats based on 80’s electric pop accompanying a sweet lonely soul's trip to the nightclub. Aerolips are a synth-pop duo who formed in 2010, consisting of U-Krist Sirichana and Darunee “Janjan” Suepongsa. After the success of his dream pop band, Slow Reverse, U-Krist wanted to start a new electronic dance project, so he joined up with singer Janjan to create Aerolips. The results are a combination of sweet, playful female vocals, and a blending of vintage synthesizers with modern electronic keyboards, all together riding smoothly on energetic disco beats. Their music has simple melodies that are captivating and well structured.

Search Add 3 A Room Away Saint Louis, Missouri A Room Away is a three-member folk/pop/rock group formed by singer/songwriter Stephanie Brickey. The band came up with a distinct sound by blending modern folk lyricism with pop and straight-ahead rock arrangements. The band consists of Stephanie Brickey on acoustic guitar, Mike Hellebusch on electric guitar, and Dave Brickey on bass guitar. Stephanie’s vocal versatility allows her to perform each song with the intensity or subtleness it calls for. Her music has been compared to Mary-Chapin Carpenter, Kasey Chambers and Aimee Mann, just to name a few. Mike Hellebusch’s ace guitar work and keen sense of melody in every song is unmistakable. Dave Brickey’s solid bass work is the glue that holds it all together.

The genre palette of the project "ethnosphere" is extremely diverse: from acoustic solo instruments, bells and old Russian choral singing to jazz, fusion, pop and electronic compositions. The composition of virtuoso musicians performing within the project is no less diverse.

Search Add 3 La Trifullka In the beginnings of La Trifullka, back in 1995, one of the main ideas was to make music of its own. That worked as a philosophy of the band integrated by Luis and Raúl Rueda, Xavier von Buchwald and Christian Freire until this December. Those beginnings where there is an extraordinary chemistry and good vibes no longer go, the group is unmarked and leaves three albums for the history of the national rock: Mucha Rabia, Efecto Placebo and Calamidad Doméstica. Luis Rueda (vocalist) is the one who tells almost everything, the other part of the noise of La Trifullka is known by his followers and those who once heard them and saw them derailing the stages. There is no crying. They release the first album Mucha Rabia en 1996 and have a good promotion job with the MTM label. Time of the fifth hair and artificial light that coincides with the takeoff of the group. In '97 the band grows a lot, toured the country, sells many records, plays at the Festival Rock al Parque in Bogotá, Colombia. Everything is going well and they get dizzy for success. They enter a stage of chaos. After the concert at the Pululahua volcano in 1999, the bassist Raúl Rueda left the band, although he never left completely: he played in the presentations and participated in the Efecto Placebo (2000). To get this metal, seven months were locked in Luis's house. The result of so much experimentation is a superdark disc (dark), according to Luis Rueda, much more creative and more interpenetrating among the musicians. They live like a band from the seventies, with the whole psychedelia pod included. They take out the disk independently and realize that the work of a promoter is always necessary. Placebo effect is completely different from Mucha rabia, but it does not strike well among the followers, to many it seems horrible, others begin to know La Trifullka with this delivery, however, commercially it does not work. In 2001, Luis left for Spain. He stays for nine months and plays with a band called Elecktra, he becomes contaminated with Madrid's movida, and in the nostalgia of distance he composes some songs. Freire enters the group of Sergeant Tomato as a collaborator and von Buchwald to Los Asuntados. On the way back there is a disc in Luis's head. Gather the band, but this time it is not a group work, all songs and arrangements are made by Luis. Calamidad Domestica is a much fresher work, cheerful, with different nuances that record with Ifesa. There is a lot of enthusiasm, but things do not come out because of the organization problems of the label. They play here and there. The stigma that they are a chaotic band of heavy rock chases them everywhere, so much so that Freire and von Buchwald are definitely leaving. César Peralta, on guitar, Juan Carlos Macio for drums and Daniel Sais from Argentina play the keyboards and adapt the old songs with the new sound. A chaotic show at the Santé disco, where drunk Luis Rueda is kicked out, marks the end of the route. "Everything that happened that day is not something that I feel proud of, it was a disastrous day," he confesses. The path of any artist who intends to leave some kind of legacy or transcendence is to create, not interpret. It is the thought that dominates and maintains Luis Rueda. They open and each one goes by his side. They did not pass indifferently within the national rock, but there will be no more magical nights like when they played with Los Prisioneros and those present felt the overwhelming force of La Trifullka.

The team of [a= Mattie Johnson And The Stars of Faith] is managed by Martha as she is both the founder and organizer of the group. Singing the alto vocals with the group, she adds a true touch of quality. Taylor is also a member of Second New St. Paul Baptist Church, Washington. D.C.
