Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

His parents were very active in music, and they were always singing and playing in the house. Hans Peter started playing the piano as soon as he was tall enough to reach the keys, and made his own small melodies from an early age. He often tried to recreate the music he heard on radio, but also received classical piano training. He learned the foundational piano technique these years, but never enjoyed playing by scores. It was more fun to play freely, to play what you heard, or learn the music by ear. Hans Peter also picked up the saxophone, first through the local marching band, but later at several jazz seminars at Molde, a small city known for its jazz festivals. He soon understood that reading scores was important even in jazz music, it helped the musicians communicate. One of the first songs Hans Peter put down on paper was from this period: «Kaktus» from ’78. Later Hans Peter Neergård composed more music and wrote more scores. His compositions are often related to jazz, both rhythmically and harmonically, but can also be traced back to Nordic folk music. He composed for piano, saxophone quartet and orchestras, and many of the songs were performed by local bands and musicians. Six of the songs on this LP were released in the score book «My rhythmic piano», self-released by Hans Peter in 1997. In addition to releasing written scores, Neergård often dreamt about putting some of his music on a record to allow more people to hear it. He’s had his music scores on the shelves for years, but in January 2022 he gathered the courage to record 12 of his own songs in the local studio on a Steinway grand piano. He was fascinated by the use of electronic instruments in modern music and began listening to progressive rock groups such as Emerson, Lake and Palmer and Rick Wakeman in the 70's. It was his mother who introduced him to the experimental electronic tones of Brian Eno and Kraftwerk. His appreciation for these creative styles carried on through high school and followed him into college. During his time at Ohio University, Mike began to create electronic compositions to accompany modern dance pieces and also began to develop his styles as a DJ. His style concentrated heavily on the dark industrial sounds of Front 242 and Skinny Puppy. He added many styles to his DJ repertoire and began to introduce ambient tones and atmospheres to his DJ sets. The Orb was a major influence, which gradually led him to spin more ambient dub styled tracks. In 1993 he moved from Athens, Ohio to Columbus where he introduced his unique style and catalog of recordings to the Columbus scene. He began working with Rob Engel to create atmospheric dark ambient music that became the Midislut project with Mike spinning under the Midislut name. In 1994, he released “Ambiento”, a mix tape of selected ambient tracks, which created a buzz among the underground scene. Shortly after the release of “Ambiento,” Mike was spinning in chill out rooms at many of the now legendary ele_mental parties. Mike followed his release of “Ambiento” with “Project Blossom” in 1995. Mike provided his own compositions at the ele_mental sponsored “Boron” in August 1996. Mike was also involved in electronic music composition in the Columbus area. Contributions include the 21/22 Corp. compilation "Fusion No.5" and "Trace Ele_ments4 EP", a collaboration with Bone Tribe Productions, and an appearance on Black Music's "Adventures in Modern Recording" CD with an industrial jungle track titled "Cycle_7.1". During July of 1996, Mike began to work at the groundbreaking downtown club, Mekka. He immersed himself in the club tracks he heard from such DJ’s as Mike G, Kevy Kev, and Rob Engel along with many of the guest DJ’s who graced the decks. It wasn’t long before Mike teamed up with Doughboy, and spun “Twilight Sundaze,” where he played Chicago house and techno. Mike made Mekka his home for over four years, and attributes much of his appreciation and love for the music to his stay there. Beginning in 1998, Mike made guest appearances at Red Zone and played at many of the “Clockwork Sundaze” events that have made Doughboy famous. He opened for many of the DJ world superstars, such as Josh Wink, Marco Carolla, Charles Feelgood, and Terry Lee Brown Jr. Mike also held simultaneous residencies at both FM and Clique through the Millennium. In December of 2000, Mike traveled to Germany and played two New Years dates in Jena and Altenburg. Upon returning to the states, Mike teamed up with Kate Hazelbaker to start “Barcelona DJs@11,” which blended the eclectic tastes of a tapas restaurant with deep house and lounge style tracks. Mike currently holds residency at Eleven Restaurant and Lounge, spinning deep and tech house. He is a member of the Quality! crew often sharing the decks with his mates Jason Lyman, Jeff Pongonis, and Steve Keck. |

| Search | Add | 6 | TS Brooks | American singer-songwriter based in Berlin. Ask T.S. Brooks, and he'll say his music lies halfway between the city and the country. But he admits to the casual listener it could come across as none of that. Nevertheless he straddles two extremes - that of the noise of anonymity, and the soothing flow of isolation. Admittedly influenced by artists such as Townes Van Zandt, Neil Young, and Lou Reed, Brooks paints pictures that allow the listener to bask in the light of detachment; in a place where you can hear yourself listening. Earlier For some ten years, T.S. Brooks cut his teeth in the American indie-psych band, Minmae. When that was over, Brooks moved to Europe to pursue folk music full time, free of the joys and follies that come with the former. In Berlin he found a thriving acoustic scene, and the city's many basement venues and house shows suited the intimacy of his music, as well as providing a platform for its urgency. Upon arrival, Brooks had just released his first album, 'Tertiary Allotment Is A Delightfulness' on San Francisco, California's Snowstorm Music. In the two years since he has gone on to release 'The Spanish Years', recorded during a month in the outskirts of Barcelona, Spain, and the epic 'Alles Gute', recorded in old Friedrichshain factory in Berlin. Between these two albums, Brooks also recorded a limited edition 12" ep on House of Plenty. His most recent album, album,'Skyhooks', was self-released in 2013. Greywood Records released T.S. Brooks' 'best of...' digital-only album, 'A Network of Flickering Lights (2009-2015)' this year. | |

Most of 2006 was spent in the studio preparing their first CD as a band, interspersed with venues that enabled them to refine their performance as a group. In 2008 Pernell Reichert and the Hard Drinkers released their self-titled album followed by a 39 day tour of western Canada that took the boys from Vancouver to Winnipeg and back. June to July Pernell toured solo from BC to southern Ontario. The band joined in for August and September. That fall Pernell Reichert and the Hard Drinkers went international with a 10-shows-in-10-days tour of South Africa which produced a live recording later included on their 2011 EP. In 2011 they became The Pernell Reichert Band and released their second CD: “Highway of Tears.” More touring followed with highlights including the 2012 Edge of the world Music Festival in Haida Gwaii, BC; 2013 Wells Festival of all Things Art in Wells, BC; 2013 Rock Creek Fall Fair in Rock Creek, BC (sharing the stage with Fred Penner); the 2014 Rock Creek Fall Fair (sharing the stage with Charlotte Diamond); the 2015 Cowboy Festival in Nordegg, Alberta (sharing the stage with Marty Haggard). 2016 saw the release of their third effort entitled “The Road (You Ain't the One)”. | |

Rondinaro would help lead the Squires through 1979. Forging a successful career as a news reporter and anchor outside of drum corps, Rondinaro got his start with DCI's television broadcasts when asked by Hall of Fame Member Don Whitely to host a local PBS telecast of the 1976 DCI East competition in Allentown, PA. A similar opportunity was offered in 1977 for the DCI Canada event in Hamilton, Ontario, and by 1979 he got his opportunity in front of the camera at the World Championships, sitting alongside jazz trumpet legend [a38207] as co-host. Over many years Rondinaro has had the opportunity to work with a diverse array of broadcast hosts from actress [a856107] to sports broadcasting legend [a1093496], using his unique experiences and talents as a drum corps "insider" to educate his television partners even if they have little or no familiarity with the drum corps activity. As Rondinaro's broadcasting career took him to Miami in the early 1980s, he wouldn't lose sight of managing a corps. There he helped reorganize the Florida Vanguard into a new corps, [a7695405], a group that went on to win DCI's A-Class Championship title in 1984. | |
