Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 7 | Dislocations | Dislocations is a Finnish/Swedish experimental ambient improvisation project that draws it’s inspiration from mathematical ideas on the edge of traditional musicality. Unsynchronized sequencing, quasipulsatility and random chance operations are some of the repeating central themes. A combination of grainy sci-fi soundscapes of past decades and modern hyperrealistic sound illusions, Dislocations is a collision of contrasting methodologies and ideals. Started back in 2014 in London by sound artists Anssi Alhopuro and Pär Carlsson. Brought together by shared interests in experimental electronic music, programming and improvisation.

Search | Add | 7 | Cpyridon | Spyridon Politis - Σπυρίδων Πολίτης | Cpyridon (pronounced: spee-ree-don) is the professional musical alias of Spyridon Politis; an independent singer, composer, and record producer. Born in Athens, he made his debut as a solo artist in 2016 through his four-track EP, ‘I’. The next five years produced a memorable series of singles for the artist. Those are Ineni, Will You Love Again and Those Nights. Life has always been full of music for Cpyridon. He began this journey at a very young age, performing folk music alongside a variety of ensembles. His interest in rock and heavy metal music began to form in his teenage years, which led to his involvement in the Athenian underground club scene. Some of his work in this era has survived through the single, ‘My Enemy’ from one of his former bands, My 3nemy. That particular track started his journey as a music producer and audio engineer. At just 18, he crossed the Atlantic Ocean to Toronto, Canada to pursue his musical aspirations. In his newfound hometown, he took part in the underground Rock scene as a singer and continued to sharpen his craft. Yet, a newfound love for Opera soon prevailed. So, he studied voice at the Royal Conservatory of Music under maestro William Perry. After many fruitful years in Canada, Cpyridon returned to his native Greece. This is where he established SunBoat Records. From then on, he has been releasing music and is eager to keep moving onward to more musical adventures. |

Search | Add | 7 | The Silent Senders | Maurizio Duka Moroni (music and electronics) and Paolo “Dr. Phibes” Caucci (guitars) are The Silent Senders. This is an original musical project (produced by Audiosfera for exMachina Records), proposing a powerful mix of electronic and alternative rock music, that becomes almost a commentary to short, imaginary movies: TSS’ music is charming, sincere, an utter soundtrack, creating the right atmosphere for a surreal story with few introductive notes. On the ground oh TSS’ music is a choice of non-conformity with any trendy music genre or commercial law; in this way avoiding to wink at the mass market, the two musicians obtain to express themselves exclusively accordingly to their musical preferences. Synths, samplers, beat machines and guitars merge harmoniously in complex, multilayer sonorities, with raids in structured electronics or in acoustic manipulation. The audience is carried away to new musical scenes and surrounded by rich sound environments creatd by imaginary dialogues, micro-sonorities and irregular, pressing rhytmics. The tracks included in TSS’ albums are, consciously, very different from one another: electro-acoustic, industrial, progressive rock or musique concrete, with pop, folk, jazz, even metal contaminations. TSS build a clever music using every one of these musical kind as bricks: it’s not an easy listening, but the audience is thus stimulated by ever new feelings.

Very early in his youth he excelled as an actor-singer in Marathi musicals and was offered a position in the Mahesh Natak Mandali of Pune. His initial musical mentors were Bapurao Ketkar and Govindrao Tembe, both senior musicians of the Atrauli-Jaipur school. Haldankar later took training under the Agra Gharana master, Jagannathbuwa Purohit (“Gunidas”), and still later, from Ganpatrao Dewaskar and Agrawale Anwar Hussain Khan. Suresh Haldankar’s rise in the 1950s musical world of Mumbai was dramatic but he failed to deliver on his promise and soon faded away from the mehfil platform. He spent the rest of his life as a teacher in a chawl in Mumbai. The music lovers in the Maharashtrian community remember him for the many immensely popular Natyageete records he cut. |

Search | Add | 7 | Litia~Loe | Litia~Loe: Life In The Insane Asylum = Life On Earth LITIA=LOE (Life In The Insane Asylum = Life On Earth) formed in Chicago amidst the burgeoning house movement of the 80’s. Leon Williams, Daryl Wilson, and brothers Grant and Simeon Rogers would meet up every weekend to soak up the sounds at local clubs like Music Box, Medusa, The PowerPlant, The Warehouse, and Frankie Knuckles’ Dance Palace, where DJs would mix everything from disco to new wave, industrial to house music. After the clubs closed, they would retreat to Leon’s basement to experiment with synths, inspired by what they had just witnessed at the clubs. Wired with excitement, they would stay up all-night, jamming and sequencing beats together late into the next afternoon. Simeon was the technician of the group, programming drums, layering sounds, and finding the right synth textures. Leon was the creative wild card, coming up with conscious lyrics and vocal melodies and tweaking the sounds to be more expansive. Grant kept things anchored in song, composing and coming up with structures. Daryl helped compose a lot of the unreleased songs and was a great arranger and bass player, but decided to leave the band for personal reasons. With a Tascam 8-track Portastudio, the group would cut rough tape mixes of their tunes to share with friends who would DJ the demos around town. Influenced by groups like Nitzer Ebb, Bauhaus and Chris & Cosey, they came up with a track heavy with distortion and feedback. A tape of that track started circulating around the clubs, and legend has it that Lil Louis liked it so much he claimed it as his own. Realizing that competition was fierce in the DJ world, they decided to cut a record next time so they could lay claim to their work. This led to the release of Each Dawn Every Dawn, released on their own Facade label in 1989. The group distributed the record themselves, handing them out at clubs, and dropping them off at local shops and record pools. At the time, the record barely made it out of Chicago, but the group did have a few chances at notoriety. Once with Rocky Jones of D.J. International Records who offered a “Blood contract” for joining the label. The group declined. In the mid 90’s they had an opportunity to open three nights with Living Colour, but the night before, one of the keyboardists got stage fright and they had to bail on the gigs.

His illustrations of jazz artists and bands appeared on album covers and in magazines. Jam sessions at Freniere Studio, with musicians gathering to play, or friends listening to his collection, helped inspire many young people to become musicians. Dick was also active in local theater groups and participated in the Concord Players as actor, set designer, and producer. He was also known as a great storyteller and raconteur, and invited lecturer in both art and jazz.

Search | Add | 7 | Cheflodeezy | Llordel Taylor | Cheflodeezy is a Jamaican born Miami rapper. Deezy moved to Opa Locka, Miami at the age of 9 where he lived with his mom and younger brother. Deezy found his love for music as a teenager at Miami Central High, when his best friend at the time introduced him to the beat making platform Fruity Loops. After high school, Deezy fell into the street life. By the age of 21 he had multiple arrests, struggled with homelessness and the loss of a few close friends to gun violence. After almost going to prison for undisclosed cases and the birth of his first child llamiyah, Deezy decided to change his life. The Miami rapper went to culinary school and pursued a career as a professional chef. This is where he got the nick name “Cheflodeezy”. He free-styled and had other students listen to his music on a daily basis. After graduating culinary school, Deezy began to climb in the hospitality industry. Cheflodeezy started to literally blow up in the culinary word where he was featured in SoHo House world magazine as a rising star on Deco drive, and cooking for various celebrities on visits. Never letting his love for music die, Cheflodeezy went to recording studios on his days off and wrote music before and after work on most days. Still dream chasing and dropping music weekly, Cheflodeezy does this for the love of the craft. |

Search | Add | 7 | Orquesta 11 De Octubre | One of the best orchestras in Panama was on October 11, which was integrated with a selection of musicians from our armed institute. The 11 de Octubre orchestra was financed by the National Guard and in its early years it was destined for charitable functions. The director of this orchestra was Captain Víctor M. Paz, who in the fifties directed, with his brother Vitín, the orchestra of the Paz Brothers. The first foreign artist who recorded with October 11 was the restless Anacober Daniel Santos. Daniel recorded a full-length album with songs that today are valuable pieces for record collectors. Even, he himself intervened in the arrangements. The 11 de Octubre orchestra performed in Cuba, Venezuela and other countries of the Caribbean basin. He recorded another LP titled "Soberanía" where they sing Felipe Carrasco and the other vocalists of the orchestra. They imposed a musical style and one of their record successes was "Palomita Titibú". The National Guard had other musical groups as the group The Return and the Second Battalion that also reached popularity.

Search | Add | 7 | Cavan Grogan | Cavan John Grogan | CAVAN GROGAN (February 18, 1949 – February 15, 2020) Crazy Cavan and the Rhythm Rockers (also known as Cavan & The Rhythm Rockers, Crazy Cavan "N" The Rhythm Rockers, Crazy Cavan & The Rhythm Rockers) are a Teddy Boy band from South Wales. The band formed in 1970, and has still been actively touring and recording. The band appeared in the 1980 film Blue Suede Shoes which detailed the revival of 1950s rock 'n' roll music scene at the time. The first incarnation of the band was formed in 1964 by Cavan Grogan (vocals), Lyndon Needs (lead guitar) and Terry Walley (rhythm guitar) under the name "Count Dracula and the Vampires". In 1968, joined by Brian Thomas (piano) and Don Kinsella (bass), they took the name "The Sundogs" which they borrowed from Alan Freed who was known as "Moondog" and combined it with their taste for Sun Records, a label which they used to buy at that time. Then in 1970, with the addition of Mike Coffey (drums), they took the name "Crazy Cavan 'n' the Rhythm Rockers", a name which has endured. In 1973, the band formed its own record label, Crazy Rhythm Records (named after their own description of their music) and released their debut single, "Teddy Boy Boogie" (backed with "Bop Little Baby"). In 1975 they released their first album Crazy Rhythm on the Dutch Rockhouse label. In 1976, they signed with Charly Records in the UK, and released their second album, Rockability. |

Search | Add | 7 | Israel Sardiñas | Wilfredo Israel Sardiñas Domínguez | Birth: Oct. 16, 1949,Alturas de Canasí Death: Jul. 2, 2006,Miami Born in Alturas de Canasí (a town located halfway between Havana and Matanzas) and raised in the Cuban capital, the vocalist/bassist/arranger/composer Wilfredo Israel Sardiñas Domínguez initiated his professional career in 1975, playing bass with a group led by pianist Meme Solas, who must be credited for discovering Israel's diverse vocal qualities, including his powerful timbre, passionate delivery, stylistic versatility, and amazing improvisational skills. Israel Sardiñas joined Los Van Van in 1980. During his three years with Van Van he sang hits such as "Seis Semanas", "Vine a Verte", "Hoy Que Quieres de Mi". In 1983 he left the band during a tour of Mexico and later he moved to Miami. He was replaced in Los Van van by Mayito El Flaco who was then replaced by Mayito Rivera. It is clear that Formell was looking for singers with a similar timer and syle to fill the void left by Israel Sardiñas's departure. It is also interesting to note that César "Pupy" Pedroso hired Pepito Gómez who interpreted "Seis semanas" for Los Que Son Son and has the same type of brilliant timbre as Israel Sardiñas Influenced by Benny Moré, Raúl Planas and other Cuban legends, Israel paid his dues with Los Reyes '73 (a popular Van Van spin-off), Iresón, Neosón and other … Mr. Israel Sardiñas was regarded as one of the best soneros (a singer of the Cuban musical style known as son) of recent decades. "When he came on the scene [in the late '70s], other singers copied him," said influential Latin bandleader Juan Pablo Torres in a 1997 … He changed his name to Israel Kantor in 1984 in New York City, on the suggestion of Puerto Rican musician Johnny Pacheco. The atmosphere of Miami in the 1980's was not receptive to modern Cuban music preferring salsa romantica or "salsa nostalgica" such as covers of Benny More and Arsenio Rodríguez. Israel Sardiñas's attempts to create a new music style were not successful but he did find success singing traditional Cuban music with his voz de sonero. In 2003 Israel Sardiñas became a member of The Tropicana All Star Orchestra, which was nominated for two Latin Grammy Awards and two Grammy Awards for their albums "Recuerda a Benny More" and "Tradicion". a tribute to Benny Moré and other traditional songs. The band was very successful with it's show that included dancers á la tropicana. Israel Sardiñas was one of very few modern singers truly capable of interpreting Benny Moré with an authentic sonero flavor. Israel Sardiñas also performed with Fania and the legend says that it was Hector Lavoe that gave him the nickname "El Cantor" which he then took to be his artist name "Kantor". Group:Tropicana All Stars, Los Van Van, Los Yakos,Conjunto Rumbavana,NeoSon Cause of Death: Cancer: MIAMI (AP) - Israel Sardiñas, the Cuban musician who was part of the Grammy-winning Tropicana All Stars orchestra, died Saturday of cancer, his publicist said Sunday. He was 56. Israel Sardiñas died at his southwest Miami home, according to a statement from publicist F & F Media Corp. |
