Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 7 | Aida Favia-Artsey | Aida Favia-Artsey, music critic and discographer. Author of ‘Caruso On Records’ Aida Favia-Artsey was born December 5th, 1904 in Russia, and died on February 14th, 1998, at the age of 93, in Westchester, NY. Her father, Raffaele Favia, a Russian baritone of Italian descent, sang and taught professionally, and he and his daughter even made a record together with Victor in 1920, although it was never published. She started record collecting in late 1930s and corresponded with a lot of old-time Opera stars, such as Titta Ruffo, Geraldine Farrar, and some other rather unknown artists such as Edith Helena and Fritzi Scheff - the former later appeared on the TV show "Life begins at 80" with the help of Ms. Favia-Artsay in 1955. She married an engineer, who helped her a lot with some technical stuffs such as the stroboscope that was the part of "Caruso on Records" book that could cover up from 67.92rpm to 87.80rpm. From 1950s to 70s she made some private LP reissues from her collection, mostly with Edward J. Smith. Also, she even provided some of Mapleson Cylinders that were missing from the NYPL's collection. Her final article appeared on Opera Quarterly, Fall of 1993. | |

| Search | Add | 7 | Giuseppe Chelo | GIUSEPPE CHELO (Singer of Sardinian folklore). Born in Sassari in 1938, Giuseppe Chelo is still considered Osilese, as his origins are from Osilo, precisely from the district of San Lorenzo. After a period of careful and passionate apprenticeship, during which he listened to numerous established singers, Giuseppe Chelo happily made his debut at Cargeghe in 1958, along with Chiccheddu Mannoni and guitarist Adolfo Merella. After the official debut at Cargeghe, Giuseppe Chelo performed in Narbolia, this time together with Antonio Nuvoli and guitarist Nicolino Cabizza. But his usual companion became Tonino Canu, as the harmony between the two was as natural as it was perfect, and the performances benefited visibly. They basically represented two rather different ways of singing, but perhaps for this reason the evenings were enriched, brighter and above all interesting for the audience that followed them with great attention and renewed passion. The record production of Giuseppe Chelo is rich and of quality, with considerable public acclaim, which contributed to its success in most of the squares of Sardinia. His performances have landed in Italy and abroad, with great success, as in Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Montecarlo and in other European and Italian cities. We recall that like Terzetto Sardinian, together with Canu and Fara, he recorded several records with the Italian RCA, in Rome. With the name of Duetto Logudorese, together with the guitarist Pietro Fara, he then recorded some tracks on 45 rpm, always in the Italian RCA studios. Among these, the piece entitled "Mi giamana a soldadu", which turned out to be completely popular even with the youngest, was particularly successful. In addition to those just mentioned, the most important recordings concern an LP, produced by UP in Rome, called "The new company of the Sardinian song", recorded together with the cantadore Mario Firinaiu, the guitarist Aldo Cabizza and the accordionist Peppino Pippia; also, "Canzoni fra i nuraghi", produced by Aedo, recorded with Pietro Fara and Peppino Pippia; finally, "Cantos traditionales sardos", produced by the publisher Solinas, accompanied by Antonio Marongiu and Peppino Pippia. Giuseppe Chelo ended his prestigious career in 1989, after 33 years of intense activity. His performances are currently limited to very few occasions, such as special occasions and celebrations and commemorations of other artists. And also on these occasions his talent, certainly among the greatest of the Sardinian guitar song, returns visible and still appreciated. Info: http://www.cantosardoachitarra.it | |

| Search | Add | 7 | La Tona | Guatemalan band, formed on January 28, 1994 by Ernesto Arredondo “Neco” on vocals, Germánico Barrios on guitar and Alexis Cerezo Blandón on drums. On the first album, Alejandro Hernández “Alejo” would participate on bass and later Mario Flores would join the band to replace him. According to Neco, it all started when he met Alexis in college (while studying Archeology at the University of San Carlos de Guatemala), with whom he had many things in common. Part of this coexistence was born out of a passion for music. That is how the idea of forming a band came up and with it their first song called “La Rola”. After a year of having started as a band, they recorded their first album in 1995 with Primera Generación Records. Having as producer the famous Giacomo Buonafina, they began to form the basis of what would become the Guatemalan rock of the nineties. The songs of this record became more and more famous to such an extent that they started to be played in the local radio stations. The name “La Tona” came about when they were on their way to their first concert and the band still didn't have an official name, so when they passed by a bar called “La Tuna” they decided that “La Tona” would be a good name. At the same time, the word “Tona” is derived from Nahuatl and means “sun”. It represents energy and is part of the Mesoamerican culture and the band's culture. Over the years, they have added as the band's logo a Mayan Glyph: “Tun” which is the stone or numerical quantity found in the Mayan calendar. One of the most important concerts of the band's beginnings was the famous “Libertad de Expresión, Ya!” in 1994, in which they shared the stage with bands that were also starting out, such as Bohemia Suburbana, Fábulas Áticas and Viernes Verde, among others. They have shared the stage with international bands such as Adrenalina, Revolver Azul, Diablos Negros, Maldita Vecindad and Los Hijos del Quinto Patio, among others. They have taken breaks trying to combine their work with their family life, as well as with music. | |

| Search | Add | 7 | Cpyridon | Spyridon Politis - Σπυρίδων Πολίτης | Cpyridon (pronounced: spee-ree-don) is the professional musical alias of Spyridon Politis; an independent singer, composer, and record producer. Born in Athens, he made his debut as a solo artist in 2016 through his four-track EP, ‘I’. The next five years produced a memorable series of singles for the artist. Those are Ineni, Will You Love Again and Those Nights. Life has always been full of music for Cpyridon. He began this journey at a very young age, performing folk music alongside a variety of ensembles. His interest in rock and heavy metal music began to form in his teenage years, which led to his involvement in the Athenian underground club scene. Some of his work in this era has survived through the single, ‘My Enemy’ from one of his former bands, My 3nemy. That particular track started his journey as a music producer and audio engineer. At just 18, he crossed the Atlantic Ocean to Toronto, Canada to pursue his musical aspirations. In his newfound hometown, he took part in the underground Rock scene as a singer and continued to sharpen his craft. Yet, a newfound love for Opera soon prevailed. So, he studied voice at the Royal Conservatory of Music under maestro William Perry. After many fruitful years in Canada, Cpyridon returned to his native Greece. This is where he established SunBoat Records. From then on, he has been releasing music and is eager to keep moving onward to more musical adventures. |

| Search | Add | 7 | Garazi Gorostiaga | Garazi Gorostiaga | Garazi Gorostiaga (Galdakao, Euskal Herria, 1986) finds in electronic music, computers, synthesizers and languages such as MIDI the ability to know, express and state freely her experiences, ideas and emotions whilst also experimenting with them. Although musical creation has indeed accompanied her for many years, it was not until 2016 when she first presents her work to a live audience, focusing on sounds and styles such as ambient, drone and industrial. In 2017, the music label Eclectic Reactions from Bilbao in Spain released her first work, “Irauten”. Since then she has taken part in festivals such as the ODD (Barcelona), Nokodek, Dantz, DobleCheck (Donostia-San Sebastián), Kubeats (Urretxu), Inmersiones (Vitoria-Gasteiz), The Alhóndiga Experimental Music Programme, Mem (Bilbao), and furthermore in projects and collectives like Le Larraskito Kluba, Gertrude Noise Meeting, Dena Nahi Dugu (Atari), Música Dispersa or Mise-En-Scène Productions. Despite her work methodology of constant change, her favourite areas of experimentation are field recordings, synthesis (especially granular) and digital processes in real time. An imagery where there are no words. Compression/containment and expansion, chaos and order, calm and violence. Everything is in question, everything is the way it is in a cosmic, introspective and oneiric journey where identity and duality lose all their meaning. Sound alchemy, a thunderous coven, digital paganism and a necromantic spirit. «Revolutionary is the idea that creativity will save the world» |

| Search | Add | 7 | Boulo Valcourt | Died Friday, November 17, 2017 "Boulo Valcourt (b. 1946, Cap-Haïtien, Haiti) has been a central pillar of the jazz landscape in Haiti and its diaspora for more than fifty years. The vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, and arranger has been a founding member of such noted ensembles as Ibo Combo, Caribbean Sextet, Pikliz, Djanm, and Haïtiando. He has regularly collaborated with past and present musical greats such as Azor (Lénord Fortuné), Réginald Policard, Jean Jean and Philippe “Toto” Laraque, Lionel Benjamin, Mushi and Joël Widmaïer, and Ralph Thamar. His ensembles have shared the stage with Danny Glover and Wynton Marsalis, and he has been a featured artist at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, DC. He has mentored many of the most popular Haitian vocalists of the past two generations, including Emeline Michel, Beethova Obas, Tifane (Tifany Sejour), and Alan Cavé, each of whom have catapulted on to international careers. He has written dozens of hits for these and other performers, frequently using texts by acclaimed poet Syto Cavé, including “Fè van pou mwen” and “Jounen” for Emeline Michel and “Limit Solèy” for Tamara Suffren. Valcourt’s “Tante Nini,” written in collaboration with Cavé, generated overwhelming excitement when Caribbean Sextet first released the recordings in the 1980s. These tunes remain a prominent and beloved part of the Haitian soundtrack." https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/boulovalcourt | |

He began his musical activities in 2009 with a solo project focused on creating atmospheric and conceptually driven works, often exploring unconventional sonic territories. Yngve’s music is characterized by minimalistic structures, dark ambient textures, and thematic references to philosophical and mystical ideas. Rather than pursuing mainstream exposure, he has consistently concentrated on producing recordings that reflect his personal artistic vision. His influences include the teachings of Nocthylianis Ukunta and elements of the Wombaia current, which inform both the conceptual and aesthetic aspects of his work. |

Godudu. | Search | Add | 7 | La Nopalera | La Nopalera was a Mexican Nueva Canción group formed in 1975 by Arturo Cipriano, Marcial Alejandro, Roberto Cárdenas, Javier Izquierdo, and Maru Enríquez. La Nopalera was inspired by multiple genres of music such as jazz, bossa nova, rumba, son, huapango, etc., adding multiple layers of variety to their music. Multiple musicians from different musical backgrounds such as [a1564711], [a3913926], [a2274548], [a4044664], [a5179973], among others, would work with ‘Nopalera and offer great amounts of talent. The group would go through several line-up changes, and many of these musicians would establish solo careers and many musical groups. The musicians that worked with ‘Nopalera were allowed to be creative and express their musical ideas freely. They would only record and release four albums; their last two albums, Tremendo Alboroto and La Rabia Dominio Público, would be released on Sacbé’s independent record label “Discos Arte.” In 1981, La Nopalera would disband, and the main leader of the group, Arturo Cipriano, wouldn’t record an album with his name until 1989. He would later start the Mitote Jazz group, which would attempt to capture the same sound as La Nopalera. | |

| Search | Add | 7 | Bambi Redux | Bambi Redux is a producer, performer, and sound artist, born in Panama, 1982. Described as "An Apokalyptikum" by Zeit magazine, Bambi's music is a form of break-core (or "twerk-core") characterised by extreme tempo and dense, complex rhythms. Since her 2008 debut album "Release", Bambi has mainly disseminated her work via limited edition downloads, cassettes, and CDs, many of which are extremely rare, under the auspices of a fictitious organisation known as "The Redux Foundation", which also handles her PR and business affairs. The Redux Foundation provides a textual element to Bambi's work, which also incorporates film and burlesque performance. The Foundation's other function is to create and control facts about Bambi and her work, whilst envisaging strategies to render complete or accurate discographies an impossibility. | |

| Search | Add | 7 | Matt Sugar R | Matt Sugar R, is a French artist from the Reunion Island. He’s been a huge enthusiast of electronic music since 1990, the year he purchased his first turntables. This is the time when he also started developing his own signature mixing techniques and began his collection of vinyl records for which he has a complete addiction. He is strongly influenced by techno music from Detroit, New York soulful house music and Chicago house music but not only. As a keen admirer of the 80s and 90s music, Matt Sugar R’s arrangements combine a mix of different styles ranging from jazz to disco or even gospel. His ethnic origins also drives him to introduce percussions sounds in his sets. For over 2 years, Matt Sugar R has been a member of the programming committee of WARM, a FM Radio based in Belgium. In 2018, he started his own weekly radio show named WARM UNDERGROUND SESSION, which has more than 30k followers and during which he broadcasted tracks from DJs guests issued from the underground electronic scene. His renown radio show was supported by many eminent international artists. During the summer of 2020 he signs his first EP "Seein'U" on the Detroit label "Visillusion" belonging to Thomas Barnett then he signs a remix for F.E.M "Timelapse" on EP Digital Music in collaboration with William Masson. The duo William Masson and Matt Sugar R sign a new track "Jazz Inside" on Naropa Music. Matt started his own label "Sugar Tape Recordings" based in UK in 2021. He is about to release the first EP "Dopaminovor EP" in collaboration with Taho. The vinyl release is scheduled for October 2021. He is currently working on other projects and aims to release several EPs in collaboration with Taho and William Masson on his label. | |

| Search | Add | 7 | Geoff Wichmann | Geoff Wichmann | A DJ for over 25 years, Geoff Wichmann possesses a striking blend of experience and childlike optimism in his approach to music. Like a therapist in practice, he facilitates the experience on the dancefloor, creating a space to evacuate the mind and nurture the self. Not one for self-promotion, he is beloved not only for his expertly crafted sets but also for his humility and dedication to the scene. Geoff has been producing and playing minimal house long before the hype of the aughts. After running his own record shop outside of Lille in the late nineties, he returned to his birthplace of Brussels, where he has been a fixture in the local dance music community. It’s safe to say that if you’re a Brusseleir; you’ve enjoyed dancing to one of Geoff’s sets before (many of them, more likely). He continues to play regularly at venues like Fuse, C12, Zodiak and more. He is a resident at Ojoo Music in Ghent, the home of local Belgian talent flying under the radar, and his productions have surfaced on labels such as Lessizmore, Mindhouse & Rationalism. |
