Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 7 | Galaxy Unit | Zdravko Minev (In Cyril. Здравко Минев) | Galaxy Unit is a Goa Trance side project by Zdravko Minev - a member of the legendary thrash legend Crash, conquering the top of the Bulgarian extreme scene in the early 90s. Zdravko discovers a new vocation - the computers and it fundamentally alters his musical destiny. He is completely devoted to digital activities and although this is still a very exotic way to make music back in the days in Bulgaria, he encounters total empathy. Alongside with his most successful industrial project that follows - Alien Industry, where he plays one of the guitars and adds unique electronic flavors, he is also the beginning of another emblematic for the Bulgarian club and underground scene names – R.O.B.T.F. Although, the band becoming popular later with the unique Drum ‘n’ Bass progression session style in a couple of albums and many live performances, R.O.B.T.F. actually started in the mid-1990s in Zdravko’s living room. He was recording & mixing mad-ramping acid and goa influenced patterns, layered over an earth-pumping old-school analog beat. This “electronic amok” and the album release occasionally by a friend will become later the characteristic for the 1990s Bulgarian tech trance style that will influence other Bulgarian artists to come like Тибетски Сърца (Tibetan Hearts, etc.) and will overheat dancefloors for years. In late 2010s Zdravko’s curiosity and eagerness to experiment further with Goa Trance returned to the source and he started producing again under the name of Galaxy Unit when spotted and hunted out by the Bulgarian thematic label Goa Galaxy. Better is yet to come as the artist is still active in 2017. |

After he finished his elementary education, his parents planned to send him to school to become a priest or photographer. When he was 15, he met an uncle who was a tambura player and maker along with having his own family orchestra. This uncle gave Rudolph a tambura for a gift and he immediately learned to play it. He came to America at 16 and settled in Pittsburgh. He planned in the old country to stay here only about three years, earn plenty of money, and return home. He joined several bands and played for dances, weddings, picnics, and home parties. Then he began to teach other orchestras and to arrange simple pieces. When the teacher of his singing society quit, the members prevailed upon him to undertake teaching the choir. From then on, he was teaching the tamburitza, orchestras and other singing societies and was arranging music for both. After playing with the famous concert touring tamburitza orchestra "Zvonimir" for five years, he married Anna Ivanusich and they settled in Chicago. Here he rented a place for tambura manufacturing, and besides arranging music, began making tamburas. His work received overwhelming approval. All the work of manufacturing instruments and issuing music dangerously affected his heart. Doctors warned him to slow down so he sold his shop to his cousin, and dedicated himself entirely to arranging and printing music. The demand for this was growing. After 23 years of yearning to return to his homeland, he and his wife spent five months in Yugoslavia. After returning home, the days of dark depression were everywhere. He went to Michigan and bought a house where he could continue to work by mail with his music customers throughout the country. The town was Bradley. Then the second World War came and orchestras disbanded. To arrange and print this music for a smaller and smaller number with growing costs in everything due to the war, the outputs were a constant loss. Realizing the futility in this line of work, Cernkovich decided to sell his home and find another line of business. After rigid examination by the Civil Service Commission, he was appointed Postmaster of Bradley, Michigan. During his free time he still kept up his work on issuing music. He has arranged more than 1000 songs, including his own melodies, work of other composers, and public domain folk tunes he knew as a child. His right hand in this endeavor was his wife, who was carrying one load while he carried another and inspiring him when he was down and low. His lyrics are sentimental and romantic in nature, which is perhaps because of the breaking away from his family in early life. He said that if he had chosen some other career it would probably have been more gainful, but this way he has friends in every native community of many lands through his music -- and this has more value.

Author of ‘Caruso On Records’ Aida Favia-Artsey was born December 5th, 1904 in Russia, and died on February 14th, 1998, at the age of 93, in Westchester, NY. Her father, Raffaele Favia, a Russian baritone of Italian descent, sang and taught professionally, and he and his daughter even made a record together with Victor in 1920, although it was never published. She started record collecting in late 1930s and corresponded with a lot of old-time Opera stars, such as Titta Ruffo, Geraldine Farrar, and some other rather unknown artists such as Edith Helena and Fritzi Scheff - the former later appeared on the TV show "Life begins at 80" with the help of Ms. Favia-Artsay in 1955. She married an engineer, who helped her a lot with some technical stuffs such as the stroboscope that was the part of "Caruso on Records" book that could cover up from 67.92rpm to 87.80rpm. From 1950s to 70s she made some private LP reissues from her collection, mostly with Edward J. Smith. Also, she even provided some of Mapleson Cylinders that were missing from the NYPL's collection. Her final article appeared on Opera Quarterly, Fall of 1993.

The group came together in the late 50's and played frequently in places like Nalen and Kingside. In 1962 they got a hit on Tio i Topp with Bob-A-Lena (Ronnie Self's smaller hit from 1958). They toured extensively but could not repeat the success with Bob-A-Lena. The group changed its name to Music Five and changed a number of members but that did not help and in 1966 came the last single release.

Search | Add | 7 | Rudy Rivers | Rudy LaRiviere | Rudy Rivers (his real name was Rudy LaRiviere) was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He spent his early years in an orphanage. He started entertaining folks at the age of 15. Around that time also, he wrote his first song called “The Yodeling Symphony”. By 19, in the late 1930s, Rudy and his wife to be who also grew up in an orphanage hitchhiked to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, where he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force until the end of World War II. Being an excellent artist he opened and ran a sign shop for 47 year. He continued to write songs and entertain. In those days he was know as “Rudy the Yodeling Kid”. I was born in 1944 and was there only child Rudy Jr. Rudy provided Acoff & Rose 12 songs to publish. Some of those compositions were recorded by Wilf Carter and Ernest Ashworth. The song "Pushed in A Corner" was recorded by Ernie Ashworth and reached #11 on the Billboard charts in 1964. Rudy himself recorded for Rodeo Records. But Rudy was not impressed with leaving my home and his wife, Monica, to go on the road to promote his records and career, it was just not his style. He probably passed up a great opportunity. A 1965 article indicates he recorded at least two sides for Rodeo Records and one for Sparton Records in 1964. His notes he had written more than 490 songs over a span of 69 years; most are all love songs. |

Search | Add | 7 | Fred Husnick | Fred Husnick was born to Fred and Katy Husnick and grew up in Farrell, Pennsylvania. Joined by his brother Jim on cello and sister Anne on prim, Fred started playing prim with the local Junior group 'ARIA' under the direction of Paul Pearman. As a teenager, Fred played in Draganic Tamburitzan Orchestra which was comprised of his brother Jim, Vinko Prezgay, John Krizancic and Emmeric Bennett. Fred primarily played prim until his brother Jim bought him a Pearman brac to audition for the Duquesne Tammies. Fred was a dancer and musician with the Duquesne Tamburitzans from 1951 through 1955. He toured Europe with the Tammies in 1951. He is remembered for his prim rendition of 'Shining Moon'. Fred met his wife Rose at Duquesne University where they were both students on full scholarship with the internationally famous Duquesne Tamburitzans; they have been married for 32 years. Fred has a bachelor's degree in Education. Fred's daughter Diane and son Mark were both members of the Sloga Junior Tamburitzans and the Duquesne University Tamburitzans. Rosie Husnick has been Assistant Director of the Sloga Junior Tamburitzans for about 20 years and is currently the group's Director. Fred directs students in the Sloga Junior Tammies. Together with his wife, Fred organized an adult kolo group about ten years ago. They formed the Adult Tamburitzan Group Veseljaci about three years ago. This group has performed twice at the annual Adult Concerts. Fred formed the famous Veseli Tamburitzans after his two-year tour in the Army. Veseli Tamburitzans are working on their seventh recording. Rose's golden voice and Fred's technical skills make their recordings a huge success. The Veseli Tamburitzans have made two tours to Yugoslavia. In 1972 and 1975 they toured and were sponsored by Cleveland Radio host Eddie Buchar. Fred toured Europe with the Sloga Junior Tamburitzans in 1976.
