Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 7 | Rodney ScratchMaster Funk | Rodney Taylor | Rodney has been mixing for over 34 years. He started at the tender age of 13. Have a 40,000 plus record collection. He spins everythng from house to Disco to the oldies. But hes mainly into House Muzik. He started out spinning the Chicago style house. All the stuff they played on the old radio station WBMX. Now hes more into the Deep House side of things. Started out mixin with tape decks. Dont play like yall never did that. Then he got 1 Technic table and a Gemini . Use to copy songs off the radio, then edit out the part where the radio DJ ran his mouth too much. Put some intro and outros into it, then boom. Started buying his records from a shop in chicago called Imports inc. Chip E and Derrick Carter himself use to work there. Also went to State Street Records and Gramaphone and Hot Jams. Gramaphone and Hot jams are still standing to this day. People use to ask him to put songs on a cassette for them back in the day. A little while after that, he started makin his own Mix tapes. Using those 90 minute BASF Chrome cassettes. Man, those were the days. He still has alot of those mixes layin around somewhere. Started selling those for 7.00. Did his share of the little house parties back in the day. Hes from the burbs, but Chicago had some of the best parties in the world back then. Man, every big name DJ right now use to rock all over the city. He started out taggin along with them. Got into most of the parties for free. He will never forget the night when a few DJs didnt show up. And the head DJ let him on. He didnt have his records so he used the other DJs records. It was after that party that people started to recognize his skills on the decks.NOW, he spins alot with CDs. Its much easier to transport from party to party. Instead of carrying 10 or 15 heavy record crates. He refuses to use the new software which allows alot of DJs to use the Beat match feature or allow the software to help the DJ in what ever way. Every now and then, he still pulls out the Vinyl to show the new up and coming DJs how its really done. Rodney now has his own record labels, RodSMFunk Records, Funk N Fro Records, & A-Town Digital Records to add to his claim. Specializing in House music. With genres such as Jackin House, Soulful House, Deep House, and Afro House. Already has more then 10 tracks under his belt. And countless Reworks of top classic tracks that is getting alot of attention worldwide. |

Also in 1902 in the musical "The Wild Rose" she premiered another hit song "Nancy Brown". In 1903 the popularity of the "Nancy Brown" song was expanded into its own musical for Cahill, and became her favorite role. She had a plump and jolly demeanor and in addition to being a singer she presented herself as a conversationalist in a style that at best anticipates the later Gracie Allen. | |

| Search | Add | 7 | Kid Arrow | Kid Arrow is an experimental musical project from Osaka, Japan, characterized by prolific production and an introspective sonic aesthetic. Their approach focuses on the creation of ambient electronic music, with an emphasis on transforming MIDI data into emotive compositions. Kid Arrow's music is based on the manipulation of MIDI files, transforming digital data into pieces that explore human emotions. This creative process has been described as a way to give emotional meaning to seemingly "stupid" or meaningless data. Kid Arrow has collaborated closely with German producer and guitarist Markus Reuter on multiple projects. Together, they have released albums such as Without Boundaries and In Unison, We Rise, which focus on transforming a single MIDI file into diverse musical compositions. The project has an extensive discography available on its Bandcamp page, including releases such as "Happy New Strange Year 2025" and "24 Hours of Dawn (Hour 14)." Additionally, Kid Arrow has participated in programs such as the Alien Air Podcast, where excerpts of new compositions were presented. Kid Arrow describes himself as an almost disembodied entity, working from a kind of void. The name "Kid" evokes a look back at childhood and its inherent loneliness, while "Arrow" represents a direction and trajectory, albeit an uncertain one. | |

| Search | Add | 7 | Bagga Matumbi | Lannie Glenmore Fagan | Lannie Glenmore "Bevin" Fagan (aka Bagga Matumbi), singer, songwriter and record producer, born May 11 1953; died April 3 2008 Born near Kingston, Jamaica, Fagan moved to the UK aged seven and settled in Battersea, south-west London, where his father was minister of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion church; Fagan first learned to sing there and the soulful voices of visiting brethren from church branches in the US influenced his singing. While attending Spencer Park secondary school, Wandsworth, Fagan became friendly with Barbados-born Dennis Bovell, who had already formed a psychedelic rock band called Stonehenge with another Caribbean immigrant classmate, Errol Pottinger, on lead vocals. Although never officially a member of Stonehenge, Fagan demonstrated his ability to harmonise with Bovell and Pottinger in the school playground. Stonehenge disbanded in 1970 and from its ashes rose Matumbi, a Yoruba word signifying rebirth. Although the group already had Pottinger and Tex Dixon handling vocals, Bovell recruited Fagan, who had briefly worked as a bank clerk after leaving school, to allow for three-part vocal harmony. In its early days, Matumbi gained kudos backing visiting Jamaican stars Ken Boothe and I-Roy, sharing the stage with luminaries including Peter Tosh. Their earliest recording, a cover version of Hot Chocolate's Brother Louie, led by Bovell, gained them a contract with Trojan records, who also issued Wipe Them Out, the first release featuring Fagan on lead vocals, as well as the significantly more popular After Tonight, led by Pottinger. Their reputation was boosted by a cover version, with Fagan on lead, of The Man in Me, a Bob Dylan song the group first became aware of when covered by the Persuaders; Matumbi's rendition was the bestselling British reggae single of 1976. Tired of being pigeonholed as a covers band and generally displeased by Trojan's strategy, Matumbi broke away after a problematic period that saw Dixon, keyboardist Nick Bailey and Pottinger moving on, resulting in Fagan being promoted to official lead vocalist and his younger brother Glaister joining the group. In 1978, the revitalised band signed to EMI's Harvest label, and the resultant album, Seven Seals, contained the nostalgic Blue Beat and Ska, as well as the theme song to the television series Empire Road, which Fagan had a large hand in writing. They also toured extensively with Ian Dury and the Blockheads, which broadened their following, while band members were also involved in side projects, including one featuring Fagan's older sister Sylvia, who recorded under the name Guardian Angel. Matumbi's follow-up album, Point of View, with several songs co-written by Fagan, provided a pinnacle of popularity when its title track reached No 35 in the UK pop charts in 1979. Their final eponymous disc for EMI, and their 1982 album Testify, recorded in Jamaica and co-produced by Fagan and drummer Euton Jones, were less successful. (Source: The Guardian) |

| Search | Add | 7 | King Alex | Alex Littlejohn | "King-Alex" was born July 29, 1934 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and passed away March 15, 2008. He grew up with his musical family in Forriday, Louisiana. At age 14, he moved to Kansas City and began his musical training with help from bass lessons from Claude "Fiddler" Williams. Formal training at UMKC's Conservatory of Music helped Alex refine his ability to play the bass and he was the first African-American bassist to play an electric bass in Kansas City through the Conservatory. He was a career musician living and working the rest of his life in Kansas City. He performed at local venues, regional and national blues and jazz festivals. He performed with the late Tommy Soul, Lester "Wizard" King, Albert Collins, B.B. King, Jerry Lee Lewis, Lawrence Wright and the Outlets, Leon Estelle, "Little-Joe" Robinson and Claude "Fiddler" Williams - just to name a few. His group The Turnpikes recorded a couple of sides in the late 1950's for the Central label, followed by more sides in the early 1960's for Spindle. There was a long gap of 15 years before recording a single for NMI in 1979 and another 15+ years before he entered the most productive era of recording, as a slew of full-length albums came out in in the 1990s and early 2000s. Littlejohn was inducted into the Elder Statesmen of Kansas City Jazz in 2002 along with former employer and life-long friend Richard "Dick" Berkley. |

| Search | Add | 7 | Matt Sugar R | Matt Sugar R, is a French artist from the Reunion Island. He’s been a huge enthusiast of electronic music since 1990, the year he purchased his first turntables. This is the time when he also started developing his own signature mixing techniques and began his collection of vinyl records for which he has a complete addiction. He is strongly influenced by techno music from Detroit, New York soulful house music and Chicago house music but not only. As a keen admirer of the 80s and 90s music, Matt Sugar R’s arrangements combine a mix of different styles ranging from jazz to disco or even gospel. His ethnic origins also drives him to introduce percussions sounds in his sets. For over 2 years, Matt Sugar R has been a member of the programming committee of WARM, a FM Radio based in Belgium. In 2018, he started his own weekly radio show named WARM UNDERGROUND SESSION, which has more than 30k followers and during which he broadcasted tracks from DJs guests issued from the underground electronic scene. His renown radio show was supported by many eminent international artists. During the summer of 2020 he signs his first EP "Seein'U" on the Detroit label "Visillusion" belonging to Thomas Barnett then he signs a remix for F.E.M "Timelapse" on EP Digital Music in collaboration with William Masson. The duo William Masson and Matt Sugar R sign a new track "Jazz Inside" on Naropa Music. Matt started his own label "Sugar Tape Recordings" based in UK in 2021. He is about to release the first EP "Dopaminovor EP" in collaboration with Taho. The vinyl release is scheduled for October 2021. He is currently working on other projects and aims to release several EPs in collaboration with Taho and William Masson on his label. | |

| Search | Add | 7 | Hans Funk | Hans Finkenzwitschl | Hans Finkenzwitschl was born in 1955 in the tranquil little town of Bad Gams in Styria. At the age of 10, his uncle, a travelling musician, taught him to play the accordion, but Hans wanted more - he dreamed of the big stages of the world and the vibrating beats of American music. When he heard the funk hit ‘Le Freak’ by Chic for the first time in 1978, he knew that this was his destiny. With a heart full of disco and ears full of funk, Hans moved to Vienna in 1979. There he got involved in the local music scene and desperately tried to get a piece of the ever faster burning disco star. Under the stage name Hans Funk he recorded several disco-funk singles between 1979 and 1983 in a tiny studio in Vienna's 7th district. Despite an unshakeable belief in his talent, however, he was denied his big breakthrough. After a chance encounter between two school friends and the passing on of the news to a new generation of music enthusiasts, the music of Hans Funk will be re-released in 2024. |
