Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | 57pictures | "Your memories are a guiding light. I can hear colorful music..." フィフティーセブンピクチャーズ (57pictures) was a Japanese self-described "post-rock, shoegaze" band originally formed in Ibaraki Prefecture, but had since moved to Tokyo. The band began in 2007 with four members, three of which were friends since kindergarten; the same four members are still part of this band (with the addition of a new, non-musical member, a.k.a. an illustrator, bringing the total members to 5). The band suspended activities in 2017 following their last live performance. "57pictures' music has words that penetrate your soul and a tone that envelops you, and the waves of sound explode warmly throughout your body. There was a live painting stage, where the colors of the music changed with each note, The stage will be decorated with a world that goes beyond music, featuring carefully designed goods, handmade items, and more. The music and art are woven with sincerity, inviting you to breathe deeply." | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Sundown Delay | The original idea of Sundown Delay was to create a final platform (since his former band just had dissolved) from where Svante Widerström could throw the 10 songs he writes every year into the great nothingness. A one-man band would not only have non-existent issues with drop-out members. It would also mean total creative control. But it would also mean no fun. So when old friend Nanne Westerholm offered his service from behind the drums Svante of course was happy. Together they recorded “Catching Up With The Future” 2015. But as a duo they weren’t able to play live. To be considered a band they needed at least a bass-player. They found the missing piece in Björn Ericsson and recorded the mini LP “Rubik’s Cube Is Fighting Back” which was released in april 2016. The record was critically acclaimed but since drummer Nanne Westerholm left the band in june same year there wasn’t too much action. The replacement was called Tobias Wiik and after playing a few gigs they started to work on a new album. The new full-length album “Awaiting The Death Of Rockn’roll” was released in December 2017. | |

He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris under [a=Alexandre Cabanel], Édouard Louis Dubufe and Alexis-Joseph Mazerolle. He painted portraits, landscapes and genre works, and also made illustrations for the press and publishing houses. From 1878, he exhibited mythological and genre works at the Paris Salons and at the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, receiving medals in 1889 and 1890. From 1906 to 1909, he worked with Guillaume Dubufe on decorating the town hall in Saint-Mandé. In 1900, he was invited to paint Le Train Blue on a decorative panel for the Gare de Lyon restaurant in Paris. In their style, color, composition and choice of subjects, Rosset-Granger's works benefited from his familiarity with Bouguereau, Boulanger and Lefebvre. From 1906, his studio was located at 45 ave de Villiers in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. He died in 1934 in Paris. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Laconic Chamber | Laconic Chamber, as the name might indicate, plays music that is a mixture of chamber music and post-rock. Built around the songs and vocals of Dorothy Geller, their sound is somewhat similar to that of Mazzy Star in how its sluggish tempos, drones, and whispery female vocals build a sense of depressing yet seductive torpor. Laconic Chamber differs from Mazzy Star, however, in that they don't feature quasi-psychedelic guitar distortion in their arrangements, instead building their arrangements around more classical-chamber-influenced components. The violin of James Wolf is featured prominently, although they're still a rock band with an electric guitar and rhythm section. Like Mazzy Star and some slowcore or sadcore bands, the languorous drone, dark obtuse melodies, vague half-obscured lyrics, and overall sense of foreboding adds up to an atmosphere suitable for brooding or, more bluntly, nodding off to. After contributing a track ("Ink-Blots") to a 7" compilation on the local Washington, D.C., indie Nightshade, they put out their first album, A History of Epidemics, on the Australian Camera Obscura label in 2000. | |

Loving all music with groove and energy it seemed like a natural progression for him to move into Psy-Trance. Module soon began DJ'ing under the name PsyKwaai and helped set up the Wacky Woods Transformation Farm with his family in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. It was from here that he decided to progress his music by moving to the UK in early 2002. Based in Brighton, he began writing and producing Psy-trance under the name Module. Shortly afterwards he met a fellow South African Karl (aka Electric Mirror) and formed Organic Hybrid. Module says about his music "I've always felt that there was a missing piece to the psychedelic music puzzle and that is why I focused my production on a more funky nightime acid feel." To date Module has released with Hadra, Wildthings, PharPsyde Records, Bom Shanka, Peak Records, World People, Liquid Records and in 2008 he headlined the Liquid Stage at Glade. Currently working on a new Sci-Fi Ambient project called "Mon Che" which showcases live guitar and bass and the other various styles of psychedelic music that he loves |

| Search | Add | 2 | Bozon | Bozon | From the CD packaging: The band heard on this CD was Bozon in its final incarnation. Bozon began in the late seventies forging a unique form of jazz-rock in a rehearsal studio (”the space”) behind the Dharma Submarine Shop near the nexus of Market and Van Ness streets in San Francisco. Countless long days and late nights were spent working on complex original compositions that often featured an anarchic sense of humor and “odd” time signatures (with no regard, indeed a disdain for the monotony of the four-four disco beat so prevalent at the time). The diversity of the players’ backgrounds brought a large palette of influences into the mix. Sometimes, this created an overly complicated gumbo of confusion (both for the players and listeners). However, when things did go right, the results could be surprising and sublime. Bozon played a modest succession of rather eccentric parties and gigs, but it was hard to duplicate their sound out of the space. As disco gave way to punk, the handwriting was easy enough to read. The group disbanded in late 1980/early 1981. The bulk of this CD was originally recorded in 1980 in the space on a couple of Teac 40-4 tape decks and the sound quality was pretty dismal. Almost three decades later this material was transferred into the digital realm (none too soon, as the tape was disintegrating) and, in a laborious process, cleaned up. Two of the pieces were originally recorded in 16 and 24 track analog studios and were also moved into Pro Tools for editing. The goal wasn’t to “re-do” the music, but to improve the sonic quality and present some lost work from an unknown band. |

Their sound can be described as mixture of Minimal Techno and Microhouse, very rhythmic and with carefully selected deep and atmospheric sounds, which makes their music easily recognisable. Both of them are performing as Djs since 2002 and are very active on the German scene and wider, while Irie also holds a residency in well known Berlin club Tresor. Their live DJ performances also feature tighter sounds, but just as with their releases they do no compromises, and you can easily get drowned in their hypnotic sound, obviously inspired by numerous never ending parties across Berlin. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Head Ache | A hardcore punk band from Toyama, Japan that formed in September 1984 and broke up in 1986. The band is named after the song "Head Ache" by [a371840]. Akira and Keiichi met at Toyama's live house called "Media" and decided to start the band. At first they were influenced by Gauze and The Stalin, but later they were more influenced by The Exploited. The original members of the band were Akira, Mutsuma Keiichi (K-1), Mohawk Kiyoshi Otsuka, and Naoji Tanaka. Kiyoshi was later removed from the band because of his alcoholism. He would be so drunk on stage that he could not perform. Naoji was removed from the band as well because he was more into the heavy metal scene and was just being forced to play punk. Because of this, they got two new members so the band could continue. Mareo was just a guest at the shows, but he was added as their new vocalist. Venta, who's real name is Kouya, was added as the new guitarist. At this point, rockabilly was very popular, so there were many strange shows that were played with cheap door prices. At some of the shows, the crowds would strangely dance rockabilly steps instead of the pogo. At every live show that Mareo performed, he would cut his arm to make himself bleed. Later they would replace Venta with a new guitarist name Hiroaki Shimizu. Hiroaki was often missing on the day of their live shows because he was going to see the morning sun. Mutsuma would wear a Koyu mask when he played drums, so he was often mistaken for the band's manager. This line up stayed together until the band broke up. The band's first release was a six track cassette album titled "Pleasure Or Death". Shortly after that, they would release their flexi-disc which charted 3rd overall in indie sales in the phonosheet category in Doll Magazine. The track "I Say," which was included on the flexi, was to be included on a compilation album that was to be released by [l108091]. After the band broke up, Akira went on to join The Star Club. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Dave Handford | David Handford | Born in Torquay, Devon, sound artist Dave Handford has been producing organised sonic work since 1992. Through early experiments in electronic psychedelia with Vibe Tribe (1992-1993) and electronica/techno with Moduloss (1993-1995), his work now ranges from minimalist drone pieces to absurd rhythmic soundscapes. From an early interest in electronics he also constructs sound devices for recording and performance including analogue harmonic units and Theremin based machines. These have been used in Jo Shapland's performances Chrysalis (1998) and See the Woods Through the Trees (2000-2002), as well as site specific installation work such as Further Back and Faster (2001) and Radio St.Dogmaels #2 (2001) in Pembrokeshire as part of Ointment collaborative arts project. Other collaborative work has included a soundtrack for Jo Shapland's Zeitlupe (1999/2000), live and vinyl music for Continuous Sound Laboratory (2000-2001), and live soundtracking for Man Troi on Pedestal (2002) and Soluna (2002), in Ireland and Wales. Currently he is continuing his site specific, tone/harmonic Soundings throughout Wales and UK, in underground and other obtuse spaces. Since May 2001, his label [l62011] has been a vehicle for his and others experimental recordings. Under this he also records as DJ Methodist and Ministry Of Defiance. |
