Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Remington Buckaroo Boone There would be times in the recording studio when Dan had been working and reworking a song, obsessing over minute changes and overdubbing into the wee hours until, finally, his Maine Coon Cat, Buckaroo, would hop up on the mixing board and walk over to Dan and just sit there on the knobs and sliders, staring at him. When that happened, Dan knew it was time to walk away from the board; it was as good as it was going to get. He trusted Boone’s instincts, and that's why he gave him the producer credit: “Executive Producer: Remington Buckaroo Boone” which resulted in a call to the label by someone who wanted to talk to Mr. Boone about producing their record. - Jean Fogelberg

Search Add 2 Winter Blues Band Winter Blues Band, originally from Charente-Maritime, embodies a musical alliance with Quentin Winter on guitar and vocals, Cyril Babin on bass and Sébastien Jonckheere on drums. Together, they perform a square and solid Rock/Blues. This power trio vibrant with energy, merges the captivating hues of Blues with the energetic beats of Rock. They explore and push their style further by flirting with French and Irish musical traditions, Metal or even World Music. This blend creates a musical experience that carries you away with striking authenticity. With nearly 80 concerts since 2019, the group is a finalist in the springboards: “Blues sur Seine” (2022), “Les RDV de l'Erdre” (2023) and the prestigious “French Blues Challenge” (2024). The trio has also performed in many Blues festivals such as 'Bain de Blues' or 'Cognac Blues Passion'. In 2024, they release their first album 'Tale of a Lone Lil’ Boy', with 15 mind-blowing compositions. Generous and talented musicians, the group distills an atypical and organic universe that plunges the spectator into the depths of a world both introspective and exhaltive. If the sound of the Winter Blues Band marks the stages, it is because it brings something innovative that remains engrammed in people’s minds. Are you ready to board with them?

Search Add 2 Merle "Red" Scobee Merle Nicholas Scobee was an adept five-string banjo player, born in Adair, Missouri on June 6, 1907. He led a hillbilly band called Red And His Arkansas Rangers, which included his brother Ray (“Zip”) and Art Brier (“Shorty”). The three played together for years on the Warner Brothers and Fox Circuits before landing work in the 1930s on WHO Radio in Des Moines, Iowa. In the late 30s, the group added two more members, the Rash Twins (Sally and Buck), and according to a Souvenir Program for the WHO Barn Dance Frolic, the group would “bewilder” folks as they switched from banjos to violins to guitars. He is credited as an on-screen musician in two Tex Ritter films, Starlight Over Texas (1938) and Down the Wyoming Trail (1939). Scobee continued his career with WHO as it added television broadcasts in the 1950s. He was a part of The Buckaroos music group, led by fiddler Slim Hayes. In the 1960s, he authored a 2-volume banjo instruction book called Picture Chords for Bluegrass Banjo, published by Pacific Coast Music. He also ran a music store in Des Moines called “Red Scobee’s, the Banjo Center of Iowa” (Billboard, 01 July 1967, p. WS-50). Red Scobee died in Putnam, Missouri on September 26, 1973.

Lived in Bonn and Cologne as a free-lance artist. From 1984 on, photography became his main medium, almost replacing painting entirely. Heavy processing of the photographic material, up to total abstraction. Lots of references to gay culture. Became more prominent from 1986 due to his participation in the International Photoscene Cologne. Lots of exhibitions, purchases by museums. From 1990 on, more "straight" (in the sense of "not heavily processed") photos, mostly nudes, and portraits in black and white. He became ill with AIDS in 1989.

Search Add 2 Cobrateens 1,2,3,4! These eternal adolescents offered themselves a fierce threesome promising a short relationship, but one that is intense. Never passing the two minutes mark, their songs suffice to fill the needs of the ''3D Kid(Guitar), the ''Rocketeers''(Bass) and the ''Machinegun''(Drums). Mixing their respective singularly influenced cries, two boys and a girl, unite in a punk/garage noise that smashes. Cobrateens is spitting its loud venom in your ears like a punch in your face. Pleasure guaranteed in the pain of an tinnitus orgasm under the penetrating sight of the ''W''.
