Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Knud Hegermann-Lindencrone | Danish theater enthusiast and sound engineer, 1907-1994. Knud Hegermann-Lindencrone and his assistant, engineer [a1359104], made sound recordings from the Copenhagen theater scenes from the years 1948-1988. In total, 1,700 hours of performances from The Royal Danish Theatre ([l370487]) and 1,000 hours of performances from the private theaters in Copenhagen have been preserved, spread over 3,300 reel-to-reel tapes. In 1990, the tape collection was handed over to The Royal Danish Theatre and placed at The Royal Library ([l1785820]). All the tapes have been digitised. Several recordings have previously been released on LP. From 1998 CDs are released first on [l8030] and then on [l139322]. Knud Hegermann-Lindencrone lived an aristocratic existence without bourgeois occupation. His uncle was Cai Hegermann-Lindencrone, who in the early 1940s was director of The Royal Danish Theatre. Furthermore, as one of Chamberlain Berling's descendants, Knud Hegermann-Lindencrone represented the family on the board of the newspaper Berlingske Tidende. | |

Kolhapur Cinetone | The Kolhapur Cinetone | The Kolhapur Cinetone was established by the Shahu Maharaj of Kolhapur in response to the Prabhat Film Company moving to Pune from Kolhapur in 1933. Shahu Maharaj intended to maintain the status of Kolhapur as the Hollywood of Marathi cinema. Reputedly, Baburao Painter and Bhalji Pendharkar were drawn away from Prabhat Film back to Kolhapur with appropriate blandishments, as was Master Vinayak. The notable films produced by the company were Bhalji Pendharkar’s mythological ‘Akashwani’ (1934) and the debut feature of Master Vinayak ‘Vilasi Ishwar’ (1935). Among the last highlights of the studio before its closure in 1938 was D.G. Phalke’s only sound film ‘Gangavataram’ (1937). |

| Search | Add | 2 | The Music Buddies | Erik: bass guitar TJ: guitar, vocals Derek: drums Taken from their release page: "Nobody can remember the exact origin but we think the band name came from a relative of Erik’s, who said it as a quaint diminutive as he left for practice with a previous band—“Oh, are you off to practice with your music buddies?” The three of us (Erik, TJ, and I) were living in a group house in Kalamazoo, between bands and dutifully enrolled at the local college, when he shared that anecdote. Guffaws were had. When we learned that TJ had a notebook full of lyrics devoted to how various scenesters had done him right and/or very wrong, it seemed a bygone conclusion: we had a name, we had a unified purpose, we had instruments and a basement and post-adolescent malaise and thus, we had a band. The Music Buddies was born. We were around from late fall of 1996 into the spring of 1997. We practiced a handful of times, usually late evening affairs that felt a lot like I’d imagine my dad’s Thursday night bowling league felt. We maybe played two shows—one a vegan potluck, the other at the legendary Comet Cafe. Somehow we were the subject of an intense, one-sided label bidding war that cooled only because we wouldn’t cede to Charles’ demands that we change our name to “Bacne.” We also recorded a demo with Ian, which he kindly helped us to mix in preparation for the either digital or lathe cut version you might be listening to right now." | |

| Search | Add | 2 | The Insane Slave | The Insane Slave is a rock band from Oporto city (Portugal) formed in 2008. Characterized by an original sound and a “rockipolar” personality, they’re inspired by an entire musical universe and settle their vital pillars on the “rock n'rollesque” philosophy. After hitting the road in 2010 setting foot on several stages and winning a considerable number of garage band contests, in 2011 they released their first record, "The Night Rider EP", which earned them appreciable reviews by the national and international press, as well as a tour from North to South of the country, and the first incursion beyond borders, in the cities of London and Northampton in England. February 2018 marks the return of The Insane Slave with the release of their first "Long Play". The homonymous album recorded in the studios of Raising Legends and produced by André Matos, was conceived with a conceptual theme, where along the 10 tracks that compose the album the story of Jack (the insane slave) uncurls as if it were a book. The Insane Slave are: Freddie on Drums, André on Bass, Alex on Guitar and César on Guitar and Voice. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | The Norman Jackson Band | The Norman Jackson Band | The Norman Jackson Band was a blues, soul, and funk group rooted in Chicago tradition and based in Springfield, Missouri. Regarded as one of the top blues bands in the world, the group toured extensively across the United States, completed multiple European tours, and toured South Korea, performing at major blues festivals and premiere venues internationally. The band placed third at the 2016 International Blues Challenge Finals at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, Tennessee, and opened for Buddy Guy at the Blues Heaven Festival in Denmark. On February 6, 2016, Springfield Mayor Robert Steven proclaimed February 8 as Norman Jackson Band Day. The band's motto was "Get Your Happy On," reflecting their commitment to blues rooted in joy, storytelling, and audience connection. Norman Jackson (born September 7, 1951, Canton, Ohio) was the band's guitarist, vocalist, and patriarch. Raised in Detroit, Michigan and the south side of Chicago, Jackson was a self-taught, left-handed guitarist who played his instrument upside down. He grew up immersed in gospel, blues, and soul — his mother sang with gospel artists including Reverend James Cleveland, and Sam Cooke was known to visit the Jackson home. Jackson performed with numerous gospel groups across Chicago, Detroit, and Ohio before transitioning to blues. He was ordained as a minister in 1983. Known as "The Soul Machine," Jackson's powerful voice, sharp wit, and deep groove formed the heart of the band. Rick Shortt, from Chicago, was the band's co-lead, serving as saxophonist, vocalist, and showman. Shortt and Jackson shared a bond that went beyond music — Jackson was a father figure and mentor to Shortt, who regarded him as his "Soul Daddy," and the two shared a relationship best described as father and adopted son. On stage, the dynamic between them was the engine of every performance: playful, intuitive, and musically locked in. Shortt filled the role traditionally held by a lead guitarist, but on saxophone — running his horn through a guitar amp to achieve a raw, cutting tone that sat in the mix the way a lead guitar would. His playing drew from saxophone players King Curtis and Junior Walker, harmonica players Junior Wells and Rod Piazza, and guitarist Albert Collins. While Jackson and the rhythm section embodied classic soul — sharp-dressed and smooth — Shortt was the wild card, the untamed energy Norman unleashed on every stage. He played behind his back, dropped into deep back bends, leapt over obstacles and audience members, climbed on top of anything elevated, and charged through the crowd with his saxophone blazing. His showmanship earned him the nickname "The Madman of the Blues." Ron "Boogieman" Brown, Jackson's nephew, was raised in Detroit, Michigan. He developed his rhythmic sensibility tapping out rhythms with kitchen utensils while his mother's gospel group rehearsed in their home. His drumming was intuitive and groove-driven, locking in with the rest of the band to create dynamic shifts and climaxes. Federico Samuel also served as the band's drummer. Danny Williams, a bassist from the St. Louis, Missouri music scene and a member of Jackson's church congregation, provided the deep, steady foundation of the rhythm section. Jackson and Shortt brought the sound of Chicago to Springfield and then to the world. All of the band's material was original. Their recorded output includes the albums "Child Support and Alimony" and "It's the Drummer's Fault." Members: Norman Jackson (guitar, vocals), Rick Shortt (saxophone, vocals), Ron "Boogieman" Brown (drums), Federico Samuel (drums), Danny Williams (bass). |

| Search | Add | 2 | Chelsea O'Donnell | Stress Dolls is the moniker of Chelsea O'Donnell, a songwriter from Buffalo, NY. The project's sound has drawn such comparisons as "Joni Mitchell meets Nirvana," "Avril Lavigne and Foo Fighters in a blender," and "Kathleen Hanna fronting Modest Mouse." O'Donnell began playing around Western New York in 2013, initially calling herself Wolf and eventually forming a band. After releasing one EP, the group went through a few different line-ups and, in time, changed their name to Stress Dolls. The band released a self-titled EP in the Fall of 2016, which they recorded earlier that year at GCR Audio. Due to differing pursuits the band split in early 2017, but O'Donnell decided to keep playing under the name Stress Dolls. She made a move to Nashville, TN but was there only 6 months before chronic health issues - Crohn's disease and gastroparesis- sent her to the hospital to undergo a feeding tube procedure. Following the surgery she moved back to Buffalo, and after a period of recovery, began writing, performing, and recording again. Largely due to the tentative nature of her health, O'Donnell established Stress Dolls as a solo act in order to go at her own pace. In early 2022 she was invited to work with producer Jim Wirt (Fiona Apple, Something Corporate, Incubus) at Superior Sound Studios in Cleveland, OH. After recording a few songs together, including her singles "Body" and "Alone," she was offered a record deal with Sun Pedal Recordings. After signing, Wirt and O'Donnell recorded several more tracks that went on to comprise her debut album, Queen of No, released in May 2024. In 2025, O'Donnell founded her own record label, Angry Girl Music, and reissued Queen of No to streaming services. Currently, Stress Dolls takes on several forms live: solo with O'Donnell and her acoustic guitar; as a duo when joined by longtime collaborator Sally Schaefer on violin; or as a band when combined with members TJ Luckman (bass), Jordan Smith (lead guitar), and Josh English (drums). In its many iterations, Stress Dolls has shared stages with such acts as USS, Shonen Knife, We Are Scientists, Dan Andriano and Matt Pryor, Tommy Stinson, and Our Lady Peace, and has toured regionally throughout New York state, the Midwest, and Southern Ontario. In addition to Stress Dolls, O'Donnell is also one half of Urge Surfer, an electro-pop duo that includes Stress Dolls guitarist Jordan Smith. The pair began writing songs via email during the tail end of the pandemic and have released 1 album (REACH) and 1 EP (Alphabet Archive) since. | |

He was born in the Decies, Co. Waterford, on 26 January 1889. His father was Richard Kiely, a labourer, and his mother Johanna Flynn. He had two brothers. Brought up as an Irish speaker, he learned hundreds of the songs from his region of Ireland. He attended a course at Coláiste na Rinne in 1907 and obtained a teacher's certificate. He worked as a traveling teacher for a while, and then won the second prize in the 1919 Oireachtas singing competition (Conchubhar Ó Luasa, from Ballybuirne, was the winner). Ó Cadhla learned to play the flute and bagpipes, and Séamus Ennis held his music in high esteem. He sometimes set his own old tunes to ancient Gaelic poems. He was teaching under the auspicies of the Waterford County Vocational Education Committee. During the war (1939–45), he traveled from class to class by bicycle. His eyesight was deteriorating, and he was diagnosed with diabetes. After falling off his bicycle at night he decided to quit his job. He spent some time living in Coláiste na Rinne before he went to live in his own house in Capachon. He used to teach a summer course at Coláiste Deaglan in Ardmore from 1922 onwards. From 1929 to 1960 he was teaching the summer course at Coláiste na Rinne. He never married. Labhrás Ó Cadhla died on 15 January 1961 in Dungarvan Hospital, and was buried in Kilbryan. After his death, Radio Éireann broadcast a program entitled "Labrás binn Ó Cadhla, Deisà". In 2000, RTE released a CD of his unaccompanied songs. "Amhráin ó Shliabh gCua", performed by the singer over a number of years. |

| Search | Add | 2 | The Last Day Of Winter | The Last Day Of Winter are a Portuguese post-rock band from Ovar, it consists of [a7874909] on guitar, [a7874930] on bass and [a7874929] on drums. Born and developed by elements of many distinct and distant musical, social and artistic movements, but always with the common goal to fight and defeat inertia and musical conservatism of their own environment, and after a long period of rehearsals and failed formations, The Last Day of Winter managed to find their own identity and, finally, move on to the studio and record all of what they had absorbed. Endowed with a melancholic density and dissonant gestures, a distorted and introspective approach, we are invited to take a stroll through the universe of some of the most influential band of experimentalism and post-rock of our days, showing us that sometimes the vocal melody can be a purely figurative element in musical composition. | |

If you want help to transcend the illusion of daily life on your imminent path to touch tips with the universal beings, follow The Prophet Nathan into the light. | Search | Add | 2 | Vernon Building Society Poynton Brass Band | The original Poynton Band first started in the early 1800's in the coal mining village of Poynton. The exact year is not known, but records show that it was thriving by 1824 and that Lady Vernon, who was involved with charity work for miners families, provided the Band with new uniforms in 1832. Before World War II, and in the previous century, the band played at Civic events, including the May Sunday Parade and "Walking Day" (Whitsun) in June, the Poynton Show in August, Armistice Sunday and Christmas Carolling and various Church services. Notable parades since World War II have included the Queen's Coronation in 1953 and her Jubilee in 1977. | |
