Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Leilolai | Leilolai was a New York City-based, alternative, experimental and progressive indie duo and one of the most unique bands that was part of the independent underground scene in Brooklyn (Williamsburg and Bushwick) in the late 2000's, this city in an influential era in music, fashion, art and culture. The duo was composed of lead vocalist, percussionist Christina Cáceres, who was formerly known as a Salsa music artist; and bass guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer Lesly Kühr, who worked as an in-demand session musician/engineer and touring bassist for bands such as Zuco 103 before he founded Leilolai together with Christina. Leilolai performed all over N.Y.C. in numerous venues, warehouse parties, and was invited to play live on independent freeform radio station WFMU, and featured on Japanese national TV for NHK program 'New York Wave', and was invited by Werner "Zappi" Diermaier from German krautrock band Faust to do a special guest appearance at their show in a venue in Belgium and performed their song "Medicated Nation" from Leilolai's then upcoming album "Secrets, Gold, Evergreen", being joined on stage by the band Faust. They composed, wrote, arranged, and produced their own music and self-released three albums [from 2007 to 2010]. Collaborations include members from Mint Condition, Faust, Zuco 103, and the Eddie Palmieri Salsa Orchestra. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Josh Spurling | Like most of us, Josh Spurling started life as a baby in a small town which, by today's standards, is still called Indianapolis. By the age of 13, he was already a teenager and began writing music with no response. Six years later, he wrote some better music and joined a group of weirdos who referred to themselves as That One Band. Over the next 21 years, they created seven albums and one child, future voice actress and past theater director Emily Diamond. In 2010, Josh got his big break in show business when he appeared as an extra in a music video. Through his work on this video, he was discovered by his brother, writer/director/actor/brother Stephen Spurling. Josh was hired to compose music , but insisted on acting in, Stephen's new podcast, "The Rich and the Filthy." It was here that Josh met the love of his life, voice actress Erin Peris, whom he would later marry to avoid a scandal. Stephen was well known for his tyrannical directing, and the set was very tense. Fist fights broke out almost daily, and the cast often watched them on Youtube to relieve the stress between scenes. The success of the show lasted until it stopped being aired. At that point, Josh's whole life crumbled. He began sleeping in the gutter or, at least, in beds that had recently been in the gutter. It was then that he formed a now infamous band called Shamalamamonkey who keep writing songs about someone named Gussle. Currently, Josh often lives near his wife and daughter and spends his days writing this biography. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Disinformation Machine | Disbanded American metalcore band from Green Bay, Wisconsin active from 1998-2004. Website Bio: "Disinformation Machine is a four-piece metalcore band from Green Bay, Wisconsin. Disinformation Machine writes and plays original music that fuses many different styles and elements. They incorporate influences from all genres of heavy music, ranging from emo to death metal. Disinformation Machine’s creative vision is to write and perform heavy, abrasive, emotional, intelligent music without the gimicks and bravado that usually accompanies heavy music. Disinformation Machine is always writing new songs and challenging themselves to do something that they have never done before. Disinformation Machine places no boundaries on themselves when writing songs. They have even been called “The most original band I’ve seen” by a local music critic. DM currently has ten original songs that they perform live, which translates into about an hour long live set. Disinformation Machine formed in 1998 and has been playing shows ever since. They bring a level of intensity and energy to their live show that is hard to match, and it is in this setting where Disinformation Machine’s music is truly effective. DM’s live performances have gained them a reputation as “a band not to miss” in the Green Bay/ Fox Valley area. They have played countless gigs all across Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota. They have even performed with such diverse national acts as Primer 55, The Color Red, and The Spoozys. In 2002, Disinformation Machine recorded and released their self-titled, 5 song demo CD. Since then, they have sold over 500 copies of this demo via live shows and their website. Disinformation Machine has also been added to the playlists of several Wisconsin radio stations that feature unsigned music, despite the fact that their music isn’t necessarily considered “radio rock.” Disinformation Machine was one of the top five Wisconsin bands on Razor 94.7 WZOR’s 2002 end of the year countdown. Disinformation Machine is: Jerrod-vocals Chris-guitar Mike-bass Nick-drums" | |

Mykhaylo Kovalchuk was born in Lvlv (Ukraine) on 3 July 1963. His father was born on the border between France and Spain, which is where Mykhaylo got his first influences from Latin forms of music. His first involvement with music began as a child studying violin. Mykhaylo didn't like the instrument and gave it up for playing the guitar. He was a self taught player and after seeing a concert of Paco de Lucia decided that the style of Flamenco was the direction he would take. His understanding and knowledge of Flamenco came strictly from listening to popular flamenco artists works since guitar teachers and other player in that style of music didn't exist in the country. His early performances were with Ukrainian bands playing progressive rock and Latin jazz but it wasn't fulfilling, so he broke into a solo career concentrating on original compositions. His performances took him to concerts and festivals all over Eastern Europe Mykhaylo's first recordings "Hidden by the Curtain" on cassette was released in 1997 while he was touring in Prague. In the following year he had sold 7000 cassette tapes. After his return to Ukraine, Kyv's national TV studio produced a music video called "Wind under the sea" which was aired on all Ukrainian and Prague stations for 3 months. In Ukraine Mykhaylo was the only acoustic guitarist that wrote and performed music in this style. He spent approximately 6 months playing a duet with a flamingo dancer in a Latin club. Mikhailo also established his respect in front of other international guitarists by being a prizewinner of numerous festivals all over Europe. In 1998 Mykhaylo had moved to Prague where he concentrated on writing new compositions and performing locally. He lived in Prague for 2 years and during those years Prague records were considering signing Mykhaylo to a record deal and as a result he recorded material for two new CDs. Due to unfortunate circumstances Mikhailo developed problems with his right hand after being attacked just before a festival and had to return home to Lviv where his hand was operated on three times. For 2 years Mykhaylo could not play his instrument falling into a deep depression which led him to drinking. He started playing once more, playing at smaller venues, building up his hand to be able to perform for larger audiences in larger venues. Unfortunately Mykhaylo Kovalchuk never reached these goals and he died on 12 November 2002. Mikhailo Kovalchuk once said: "This burning style full of fire and eruption is mine. It can also be melancholic, yet wildly lyrical. A fusion of psychological and flamenco entwined in thoughts, jazz and silence — though within the silence there is still such boldness". |

| Search | Add | 2 | Broken Notes | The Beginning Before this project was given it's name (Broken Notes) it started out with just two people without a band name, Jason Gervais and Sam Dean, back in 2002. Their goal was to create a fan album inspired by Akira Yamaoka's music for, at the time, Silent Hill 1 and Silent Hill 2. This album later became known as the Silent Hill Fan Soundtrack and received a limited release on a handful of gaming forums. After it's release it inspired the both of them to create a follow-up album. Broken Notes During production of the second album they came into contact with John Anthony Mathewson whom was creating a fan album of his own (which would have been titled Broken Notes) and came to a mutual agreement to combine their two projects together and call the album Broken Notes. At the beginning of November 2003, the album was placed for download on a mini-website featuring music by John, Jason, and Sam. This particular album received a great amount of attention from the community and was widely praised. It encouraged the three of them to put together a third album which took over a year to finish. An official website was also put together for the band to keep fans updated on all the latest news. | |
