Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

In the group, Gunnar Kinch played vocals, Kjell Malmström guitar, Leif Paulsén bass, Rolf Leidestad organ and Lars Skoglund drums. The group came together in the late 50's and played frequently in places like Nalen and Kingside. In 1962 they got a hit on Tio i Topp with Bob-A-Lena (Ronnie Self's smaller hit from 1958). They toured extensively but could not repeat the success with Bob-A-Lena. The group changed its name to Music Five and changed a number of members but that did not help and in 1966 came the last single release.

| Search | Add | 8 | Debbie Dierks | Debbie Dierks Montgomery | American singer/songwriter and musician from Kansas City. Daughter of Kay (Irene) Johnson, Orlene's sister. Niece of songwriter/record label owner [a6589992]. She's been singing since she learned to talk. She grew up harmonizing with her family while her mother sang and played guitar. Her mother and twin sister had been live radio singers/entertainers known as 'Kit and Kay' during the 1930's-40's. Debbie was fascinated by her mother's musical background and grew up imagining herself as a professional singer just like her mother. Debbie began singing in talent shows and school concerts. She learned to play the piano and the guitar and spent many hours singing and writing songs. Throughout high school and college, she was active in school choral groups, musical revues, and sang in church choirs. When her father died, she wrote a song for him entitled 'Daddy's Little Girl.' With this song and several other songs she had written, she and her mother and aunt headed for Nashville. Debbie was nineteen when she recorded her first country album, 'Lucky Chicago'. To promote the album, Debbie put together her own band and spent a few years traveling and playing clubs and fairs. During this time, she opened concerts for Waylon Jennings and Hank Williams Jr. as well as for Hank Snow and for T.G. Shepard. After being on the road for a time, Debbie became disillusioned with the competitiveness of the recording business and decided to go back to college. She completed her master's degree in business and met and married her husband. She maintained her love for music and chose to volunteer her services to her church. As a Sunday soloist and congregational song leader, she became more and more appreciative of Christian music. She once again began to write songs, but this time she found that she was inspired to express herself in a much more spiritual way, which resulted in Debbie's CD release, 'According To Thy Will.' |

| Search | Add | 8 | Vidal França | José Calixto de Souza | José Calixto de Souza, or simply Vidal França. This soft-spoken man from Bahia, born in the city of Aporá in 1946, has a rich history in Brazilian music. He comes from a family of musicians, and coincidentally, of his nine siblings, he was the only one to pursue a career in music. "My world is music," said França, who even tried working in other fields, but since the age of 14, he has literally lived off music. França arrived in São Paulo in 1953 and went to live with his family in Parque São Lucas, a neighborhood that, according to him, has a very strong connection to his life. The musician was always self-taught, meaning he never needed to go to a music school to learn to play. At just five years old, he was already strumming his guitar, and thus began a long history, especially with stringed instruments (guitar and viola). França fondly remembers the time he worked as a salesclerk in a fabric store. Whenever he had a free moment, he would go to the restroom to study musical scores, but he would take longer than usual. One day, his boss told her to quit him job and dedicate himself entirely to music. "That was a gift for me," França said. At the age of 14, he formed the Trio Anakan, together with an uncle and a friend from his neighborhood, and competed in his first talent show. The name of the program was "Cuidado com a Buzina" (Beware of the Horn) and it was hosted by Silvio Santos. "I was going home, and by chance I heard the announcement of our group on a neighbor's radio," França said, about how he found out that his trio would be playing the following weekend on that program. From then on, França and his trio began to gain recognition and were gradually invited to perform at shows, on television programs, etc. But he never stopped studying music whenever he had some free time. In fact, he earned a degree in music, and his great mentor was the conductor João Toledo. One project that greatly impacted the musician was his participation in the musical play "Marta Saré," by Edu Lobo and Gianfrancesco Guarnieri. França composed and orchestrated the music for the play, which marked the reopening of the São Pedro Theater in downtown São Paulo. The production featured renowned actors such as Fernanda Montenegro, Beatriz Segal, and Antonio Fagundes, among others. "When I heard Demônios da Garoa's songs on the radio, I would run to the device," said França. On the occasion, the musician also made a point of talking about his friendship with Rolando Boldrin, whom he met in the 1970s, when he was still an actor. França is loving Boldrin's new program on TV Cultura. In the film industry, the musician was responsible for the musical scores of several works. Directors such as Jorge Jonas, André Palluch, Ozualdo Candeias, and José Mogica Marins, also known as "Zé do Caixão," relied on França's work. In addition, he composed music for Portuguese language lessons for TV Cultura and grammatical texts for the "Mobral" project directed by Walter George Durst. From then on, he performed alone and no longer in trios. He received numerous invitations to play at night venues, and began to captivate audiences, so much so that when he was scheduled to open for a main act, people would arrive early just to see França play. The musician shows great joy when the subject of family comes up. França has four daughters, one of whom, Karina França, 29 years old, also performs shows. He has been living with his partner and singer Mazé for approximately 12 years. "It's a social and artistic marriage," he concluded. Vidal França passed away on February 11, 2022. |

| Search | Add | 8 | Los Angeles Police Band | The Los Angeles Police Concert Band | The LAPD Concert Band (also known as "L.A.'s OWN") was formed in 1914 as the official band of the Los Angeles Police Department and the City of Los Angeles. Originally made up entirely of sworn officers, it played regularly for police recruit graduations, and a wide number of police and civic functions. After WWII, soon-to-become LAPD officer, [a306698], had worked as a commercial pilot. Roddenberry, who is best remembered for creating the original Star Trek television series, had been raised in Los Angeles, where his father had been an LAPD officer. Since a boy, he had also known William H. Parker, who would become Chief of Police. Roddenberry decided his own future should be as a television writer and that the ideal training ground for that career would be the Los Angeles Police Department. The future creator of Star Trek had been particularly impressed with Parker’s openness to new ideas as well as his intellectual curiosity. Years later, these characteristics were to inspire one of his most famous characters, Spock, the half Vulcan, half human, ultra-rational Science Officer of the fictional Starship Enterprise. William Parker died just days before Star Trek premiered, on Sept. 8, 1966. The Watts Riots a year earlier had made him something of a household name. And yet no one — perhaps not even [a278871], the actor chosen to portray Spock — knew that the character's dual nature was [a306698]’s tribute to the late chief. Howard Jarvis, a pugnacious businessman was the principal architect of the infamous Proposition 13, formally called the People’s Initiative to Limit Property Taxation. Jarvis a pillar of bombast became the public face of the referendum — a "prophet of fiscal rectitude" to his admirers. He was unfazed by severe spending reductions that the proposition forced upon many communities and institutions. “The most important thing in this country is not the school system, nor the police department, nor the fire department,” he said. “The right to preserve, the right to have property in this country, the right to have a home in this country — that’s important.” He drew inspiration from another Howard: Beale, the mad newscaster in the 1976 film “Network.” The fictional Beale was immortalized by his signature line: “I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore!” In 1978, driven by the small of stature, yet bigger-than-life Jarvis, California voters overwhelmingly passed Proposition 13, which lowered property taxes for millions of the state’s homeowners. However, its passage reduced tax funding to the LAPD, which meant that active police officers were required to dedicate their duty hours exclusively to enforcement, not as musicians. As a result, the band was dissolved. Shortly after the band dissolved, a group of civic leaders headed by theater owner, Bob Ahmanson, and [a306698], formed an all-volunteer band under the direction of John Campbell. Throughout the 1980s the band expanded into the 75-member ensemble it is today. Many of its members are well-known professional artists who play in local symphonies, big bands, and as studio musicians. We also feature a cadre of experienced amateur musicians, many of whom are retired from professions in the law, medicine, and education. Now under the direction of Maestro Richard Allen, the band is poised to reach out to the communities within the City of Los Angeles and beyond on behalf of the LAPD, having been designated "LA's OWN." |

Israel Sardiñas joined Los Van Van in 1980. During his three years with Van Van he sang hits such as "Seis Semanas", "Vine a Verte", "Hoy Que Quieres de Mi". In 1983 he left the band during a tour of Mexico and later he moved to Miami. He was replaced in Los Van van by Mayito El Flaco who was then replaced by Mayito Rivera. It is clear that Formell was looking for singers with a similar timer and syle to fill the void left by Israel Sardiñas's departure. It is also interesting to note that César "Pupy" Pedroso hired Pepito Gómez who interpreted "Seis semanas" for Los Que Son Son and has the same type of brilliant timbre as Israel Sardiñas Influenced by Benny Moré, Raúl Planas and other Cuban legends, Israel paid his dues with Los Reyes '73 (a popular Van Van spin-off), Iresón, Neosón and other … Mr. Israel Sardiñas was regarded as one of the best soneros (a singer of the Cuban musical style known as son) of recent decades. "When he came on the scene [in the late '70s], other singers copied him," said influential Latin bandleader Juan Pablo Torres in a 1997 … He changed his name to Israel Kantor in 1984 in New York City, on the suggestion of Puerto Rican musician Johnny Pacheco. The atmosphere of Miami in the 1980's was not receptive to modern Cuban music preferring salsa romantica or "salsa nostalgica" such as covers of Benny More and Arsenio Rodríguez. Israel Sardiñas's attempts to create a new music style were not successful but he did find success singing traditional Cuban music with his voz de sonero. In 2003 Israel Sardiñas became a member of The Tropicana All Star Orchestra, which was nominated for two Latin Grammy Awards and two Grammy Awards for their albums "Recuerda a Benny More" and "Tradicion". a tribute to Benny Moré and other traditional songs. The band was very successful with it's show that included dancers á la tropicana. Israel Sardiñas was one of very few modern singers truly capable of interpreting Benny Moré with an authentic sonero flavor. Israel Sardiñas also performed with Fania and the legend says that it was Hector Lavoe that gave him the nickname "El Cantor" which he then took to be his artist name "Kantor". Group:Tropicana All Stars, Los Van Van, Los Yakos,Conjunto Rumbavana,NeoSon Cause of Death: Cancer: MIAMI (AP) - Israel Sardiñas, the Cuban musician who was part of the Grammy-winning Tropicana All Stars orchestra, died Saturday of cancer, his publicist said Sunday. | Search | Add | 8 | Philharmonic Orchestra Of New York | The name Philharmonic Orchestra Of New York was in use on Columbia releases conducted by Stransky roughly 1917-1923. When Mengelberg took over as conductor in 1922, recordings were released by Victor under the name New York Philharmonic Orchestra (1922-1928). Throughout this period, the concert programs used the formal name "The Philharmonic Society of New York", while "The Philharmonic Orchestra" was the short form referring the the actual orchestra. In 1928, it merged with [a1325307] and the two joint orchestras took the new name: Philharmonic-Symphony Orchestra Of New York (P-SONY). The first concert after the merger and name change was on October 4, 1928. | Search | Add | 8 | Suki Lee | Who is Suki Lee? One of the more real female rappers, Suki Lee has made a name for herself in the industry. Born in San Jose California Suki Lee aspired from an early age to make music her life, so much so that she started writing lyrics at a very young age and performing at talents shows around the bay. Her first real break was being a candidate on battle of the Rappers with SWAY and King tech which she came in 2nd place, The response she was getting from the crowd of music was definitely a positive response, which made her want to take this music stuff to another level. After making a big buzz in the talent shows, and radio battles Suki Lee went on to attend Morris Brown college located in Atlanta Georgia in 1999 where she began bringing her bay area style and sensation to the map in the South. Suki Lees remarkable popularity continues over the internet with hit singles, (VICTORIA SECRET) and (ASSASINATE) Suki is a new breed of tough and talented female MCs to hit the rap scene who not only co-produces some of her own music but writes all her lyrics as well. Though she could be sexy when she chose, she isnt as over the top as Lil' Kim or Foxy Brown. But to Suki Lee music wasnt something to do just for money, it was more then that. Suki Lee use music to express herself and further challenge herself to create new music. Music to Suki Lee is one thing but her goal is to take music and use it to branch off to other projects and expand to other business. Her passion, desire and love for music shows in her work, when it comes to getting work complete she makes sure it gets done. In the end, Suki Lee is her own person; mixing Roc, Pop, and rap making it her own flavor a strong, no-nonsense street MC who could hold her own with most anyone on the mic and is finding success on her own terms. So you ask who is Suki Lee the next Rapper to go where no other rapper has gone before outer space.

| Search | Add | 8 | Sokolyara | Sergey Sokolov | Sokolyara began composing music in 2005 in Moscow before he studied at the university, he was 22 years old. He often came to rave watching the performances of his favorite artists, they gave him strength and a desire for more creative inspiration and a desire to create something new, progressive, began work in his own recognizable style, much of which was played by his nature and perception of the world . Soon they were busy in complex rough directions, and the technology as a whole is sound experiments in such directions and styles as techno, trance, idm, doom, industrial, rhythmic noise, under the wing of its own network label "sacramental", where he hid under the Exact Noise. He performed in clubs and hidden forests. In 2015, recording began on the ground. Over time, he began to live more in the basement of the Studio somewhere in the Moscow region, called it "Holerika", where he continues to actively engage in creativity. The duet of Moscow artists Rosalia Simanovskaya and Miron Raskatov enjoyed fame in the 1920s–1950s. The musicians' repertoire included arrangements of popular classics, songs, and dance music. In the 1950s, they recorded a lot on records - as a duet and accompanied by a pop orchestra. During the war, they played as part of propaganda brigades on different fronts - from the Northern to the Southern. On such trips they did without a marimbaphone: Miron Raskatov played the ukulele, Rosalia Simanovskaya played the accordion. | |
