Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 8 | A Good Rogering | A GOOD ROGERING fuses the heavy-hitting rock of bands like Megadeth, Black Label Society, and Mastodon with the dynamic prowess and eclecticism of those such as Faith No More, Type O Negative, and Clutch. With the release of their debut album Long Overdue in 2010, AGR unloaded a hard, heavy, and uninhibited brand of eclectic rock into the back alleys of the Live Music Capital of the World. Led by vocalist/guitarist Skunk Manhattan, the quartet-turned-trio released their follow-up album Lifeblood in 2013. With the departure of founding member and bassist Aric “Chef” Wright in 2015, the band took a brief hiatus until reforming as a quintet in 2016 and subsequently released This Is Death Metal in 2017. The acoustic-driven introspective “Out of Reach” was released in 2018 followed by the funk-inspired “Mr. Peanut” in 2019. Their latest studio album Systematic Paralysis was released on April 22, 2022. Search | Add | 8 | Rafael Da Cruz | Rafael Da Cruz | Rafael Da Cruz is a DJ and producer whose work embraces atmospheric techno and deep, wide soundscapes with a sleek sense for the contemporary Zeitgeist. He is a resident DJ at Cologne's renowned Gewölbe Club since 2012. He has toured across Europe, South America and Asia. Following his first record in 2014, he has released several EP's, as well as radio mixes for the likes of well-known series like Ibiza Sonica, Moodmusic Radioshow, Underground Tel Aviv and others. Born in a rural area in the north of Portugal, Rafael Da Cruz grew up as a ‘90s kid near Cologne in Germany and has been dedicated to music ever since he was a teenager. He began working in music journalism as soon as he left school, then went on to make a name for himself as a DJ and producer. Hosting parties and his “Right To Love” night soon led to a residency at Gewölbe, where he has invited national and international friends to play ever since. An emblematic night might see him open with a gentle set, whose sound is incorporated in an organic base, before coming back to close the night with straight-up elements, rounded off with a sweeter vibe to the end. His 2014 release “Renaissance” on the legendary Bavarian imprint Compost Records was followed by “Rex” in 2015, which included an outstanding remix from André Lodemann. The next few years saw him extend his discography with labels including Moodmusic, ISOLATE, and Berlin-based DUATRECORDS. Recent tracks “Bes” and “Saqqara” are pared-down and nuanced, witnessing to the same deep reflection and careful attention to the sonic journey that he brings to his sets. Accustomed to the vibrant international club scene, Rafael Da Cruz has been using the lockdown to carve out more time for production and composing with different musicians, and for his latest collaborative project, “Ona Sonora” - a series of holistic travel experiences across Europe and North Africa combining electronic music, nature, and rituals. He is currently based in Berlin. |

Search | Add | 8 | So Sexual | So Sexual are: Peter – Vocals & Guitar James – Synth & Keyboards Thom – Bass Guitar Philip – Drums Formed in Liverpool at the start of 2012, So sexual are a four piece post punk band. The band have steadily built a strong set of contemporary, progressive songs that manage to capture and nurture the combined influences of the quartets formative years. Their forlorn gothic melodies thinly veil often uplifting undertones that never stray too far from the next hook. This is pop music for the disenchanted. Having created a buzz amongst their local scene on shows with the likes of Death Masks, The Shondes, British Sea Power and Outfit, and following on from the release of first single ‘This is where the story ends’, the band prepare to take a step up with new release ‘Transient Scenes’ on Bleeding Gold Records (Just Handshakes, Songs for Walter, Indoor Voices). Recorded over a single weekend in the bands home city of Liverpool this is the sound of a band that having found its feet is preparing to run.

Search | Add | 8 | Erich M. Von Hornbostel | Erich Moritz von Hornbostel | Erich M. von Hornbostel (February 25, 1877, Vienna, Austria — November 28, 1935, Cambridge, UK) was an Austrian ethnomusicologist and sound recording pioneer. Hornbostel studied the piano, harmony and counterpoint as a child; later physics and philosophy in Vienna and Heidelberg, but his PhD at the University of Vienna was in chemistry. He moved to Berlin, where he fell under the influence of [a=Carl Stumpf] and worked with him on musical psychology and psychoacoustics. He was Stumpf's assistant at Berliner Psychologischen Institut (Berlin Psychological Institute), and when the Institute's archives became the basis for the Berliner Phonogramm-Archiv, Hornbostel became its first director in 1905. Hornbostel did notable work in the field of ethnomusicology, then usually referred to as "comparative musicology." He was a highly regarded teacher, with some of his students including American composer [a=Henry Cowell] and Polish-Canadian ethnomusicologist [a3680918]. Hornbostel specialized in African and Asian music, making many recordings and developing a system that facilitated the transcription of non-Western music from recordings to paper. He saw the musical tunings used by various cultural groups as an essential element in determining the character of their music and did a lot of work in comparing different tunings. Among other notable Hornbostel's contributions was the "Sachs–Hornbostel system" of musical instrument classification which he co-authored with [a=Curt Sachs], first published in 1914. |

Search | Add | 8 | Mason Lively | Born in Victoria, Texas, but raised just outside of town in the rural community of Inez, Mason Lively grew up in a country music atmosphere. His appreciation for the genre can be traced back to his childhood. Though he enjoyed and was exposed to many types of music, he would listen to artists like Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, and Ray Price to name a few. Growing up, while also being influenced by Blues and Classic Rock, Mason started to take interest and study the songwriting of artists from his home state’s music scene like Robert Earl Keen, Pat Green, Hayes Carll, and many more. As a result, when he started playing guitar at age 14, Mason claims that song-writing "sort of snuck up on him" not long after that. Lively delivered his compelling debut album, “Stronger Ties” on April 6th, 2018. With a sound that’s simple yet complex, easy-feeling but gritty and weathered, inspiring yet heartbreaking. It’s no stretch to say that there’s a song for every emotion on Lively’s “Stronger Ties”. Country/Americana artist Mason Lively just released his new single “Something ‘Bout A Southern Girl”, on 10/21/20. A feel good anthem with heart and southern soul, co-produced and co-written by Wade Bowen.

Search | Add | 8 | Евгений Кононенко | Евгений Кононенко | DJ Kononenko (Евгений Кононенко). Любимые стили: House, Trance, Progressive Trance, Tech House, Tribal House, Electro. Flash.K, Mr. BIOS, Alarm Bell, Zero Time, Cross-Fire, Stop All Button, Def Beat, Peak Factor, Via Net Loss, Freedom of Access, Mixing Booth, Dance Algorithm, DJ Kononenko. Под этими именами записаны несколько отдельных треков, который были включены в различные компиляции (Future Russian Trance/ Future Russian House/DJ at Work by DJ NIKK mix), |

Search | Add | 8 | Fornicating Fog | An experimental project that explored darker areas of music, such as noise, doom metal and dark ambient. Fornicating Fog was formed in Blackpool, Lancashire (UK) in autumn 2006 and was initially a quartet consisting of The Urinating Goblin (aka Jamie Azzopardi), The Voyeuristic Wizard, The Heavy Breather of Heathrow and The Mooner of Romney Marsh. The quartet line up lasted until spring 2007 and produced three CDrs within this time. Following the disintegration of the original quartet, Azzopardi continued Fornicating Fog as a solo venture, producing tracks for compilations and split releases, before resting the project indefinitely after releasing a fourth CDr in summer 2010.
