Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

In 1982, the two started a duo of their own. After going through a long list of different band names, Adventures in Paradise turned out to be the one that finally took. In 1984, the duo released an independent debut single, "You'll Never Know." The group was working under the management of Doug Wong at the time. Soon Quality Records noticed the young band. The result was Adventures in Paradise's first full-length album It's Just a Matter of Time, released in 1985. For the team of friends, it wasn't a matter of time and the album turned out to be the last adventure for the duo of Hamilton and Holdsworth-Hill. This Calgary duo formed in 1982 while members of the band Mantra. After changing the name of their duo practically every week they finally decided on Adventures In Paradise at the suggestion of manager Doug Wong. They received a boost to their career when 'Music Express' magazine photographer Dee Lippingwell met up with Wong and soon returned to Toronto with the band's independent single "You'll Never Know". CFNY DJ and 'Music Express' columnist Liz Janik liked the record and aired it on her 'Independent Network' show which just happened to be caught by Quality Records A & R Rep Larry McCrae. Their debut album, 'It's Just a Matter of Time', was released on Quality in 1985 and received nominal airplay in the prairies. | |

Residing in Moscow since his youth, Deyneka studied at [url=/label/605813]GITIS[/url] and [l=Moscow Conservatory], and was exceedingly popular from the early 1930s to the Second World War outbreak. Boris frequented the most prestigious stages, like [url=/label/1422671]Stanislavski & Nemirovich-Danchenko Theatre[/url], and toured extensively with the leading Soviet ensembles, such as [url=/artist/838295]All-Union Radio Symphony Orchestra[/url] and [url=/artist/1629475]Moscow Military District Song and Dance Ensemble[/url]. His rendition of [url=/artist/1278124]Isaak Dunaevsky[/url]'s 1936 megahit [i]Wide is My Motherland[/i] ("Широка страна моя родная") would open the daily [b][url=/label/405938]All-Union Radio[/url][/b] morning broadcast across the entire USSR, solidifying Deyneka's nationwide acclaim as a household name. He released a handful of 78RPM singles on [b][url=/label/82335]Aprelevskii Zavod[/url][/b] and other gramophone labels. In 1942, Deyneka was arrested and prosecuted for "counter-revolutionary activities." The exact circumstances are still disputed today, and most sources typically cite an anonymous tip — allegedly, someone overheard Boris calling [a=Joseph Stalin] a "scumbag" in private conversations and notified the authorities. In 2008, a Soviet-Russian investigative journalist, [b]Arkady Vaksberg[/b] (1927—2011), proposed an alternative story in the [i]Bolshoi Theater of War[/i] documentary on [url=/label/266561]TV 'Kultura'[/url] channel. He claimed Deyneka wasn't innocent per se and indeed planned to defect from the Soviet Union. Boris had an affluent "dacha" summerhouse (one of customary governmental perks for distinguished USSR artists) near Manikhino village, northwest of Moscow — right where the active WWII frontline was in December 1941. Thus, a few of Deyneka's fellow artists and dacha neighbors, including [url=/artist/15674220]Vsevolod Blumenthal-Tamarin[/url], [url=/artist/13871554]Aleksander Volkov[/url], and [url=/artist/4899117]Ivan Zhadan[/url], purposefully stayed in Manikhino to voluntarily surrender to retreating German troops and asked for political asylum abroad. Allegedly, Deyneka intended to follow the same "escape route," but military police stopped Boris outside of Moscow, in a cargo van loaded with all valuable belongings, including a pearl-white concert grand piano, and promptly arrested him for treason. In light of prior accomplishments, Deyneka had his death sentence commuted to a 10-year prison term with confiscation of all assets, and was transferred to Vorkuta labor camp in the Komi ASSR, an extremely remote coal-mining town just north of the Arctic Circle. In 1943, one of his fellow inmates, ex-[l=Bolshoi Theatre] stage director and [l=Moscow Conservatory] professor [b]Boris Mordvinov[/b] (1899—1953), petitioned the prison administration and got a new "rehabilitation program" approved, an impromptu theatrical troupe; with dozens of talented Soviet artists imprisoned in WWII-era repressions, the so-called [i]Barbwire Theater[/i] ("Театр за колючей проволокой") soon assembled quite an impressive cast. Deyneka participated in countless operas, operettas, variety shows, and educational concert-lectures staged at the Barbwire Theater. He appeared as Méphistophélès in [url=/artist/555462]Gounod[/url]'s [i]Faust[/i], Basilio in [url=/artist/442174]Rossini[/url]'s [i]Barber of Seville[/i], Prince Gremin in [url=/artist/999914]Tchaikovsky[/url]'s [i]Eugene Onegin[/i], Sparafucile in [url=/artist/192327]Verdi[/url]'s [i]Rigoletto[/i], and sang leading male characters in several operettas by [a=Emmerich Kálmán]. In late June 1945, Boris Deyneka even gave a solo recital in three acts. (After the fall of the Soviet Union, the "Barbwire Theater" company became the foundation for the present-day Vorkuta State Drama Theatre.) After his release in 1953, Deyneka settled in Syktyvkar, the Komi Republic's capital in northeast European Russia, with a far less extreme climate, over 900 kilometers (560 miles) south of Vorkuta. As the former political convict, Boris was bound by the infamous "101st kilometer" rule, prohibited from staying in a 100-km vicinity of any large city. In August 1958, he participated in the creation of Syktykvar municipal music theater; he also had a minor appearance on [i][url=/release/5672179]Komi: My Northern Hemisphere[/url][/i] LP compilation. In 1962, after the notorious "political" Article 58 of the Soviet penal code was discontinued and all victims retroactively rehabilitated, 60-year-old Boris, who had already retired, finally came back to Moscow. |

The group eventually signed a management agreement with H.P. & Bell (who also represented Canadian rock band Lighthouse) and inked a recording deal with United Artists. In the summer of 1972, Snakeye made their first trip to Ontario to begin an extensive tour that saw the band play universities and high schools along with lounge dates in Toronto and Montreal. Their first single, "Blue Feeling", was released in the spring of 1973. It reached No. 51 on the RPM 100 Singles Chart. They returned to Toronto to play with A Foot In Cold Water and April Wine before they headed back to the Maritimes to open for Blood, Sweat & Tears for four East Coast dates. In 1974, Snakeye toured with Ocean and The Bells and were preparing for the release of their first album. However, with the demise of Lighthouse, H.P. & Bell didn't seem as inviting to the band and they looked elsewhere for management and recording deals. In early 1975, the band released their first album, "Blue Feelin'", shortly after bassist Steve Russell joined the group. They would tour all over Ontario and ended the trip on a Maritime tour with April Wine to close out the year. In 1976, Snakeye was re-organized and began a new tour with Abraham's Children and Fludd. A year later, thinking the only way to make it in the music industry, the group moved to Toronto and proceeded to play every club and lounge before moving to Quebec in early 1978. After eight months and a new demo, the band returned to the Maritimes and continued to tour and communicate with various record labels. By early 1979, they laid the foundations of their own record label, production and publishing companies before renewing their affiliation with H.P. & Bell. By March 1979, Snakeye entered Dartmouth's Solar Studios and completed an album's worth of material by September, with band leader/vocalist/drummer Allard Barkhouse handling all production duties. The first single from the album, "Here I Go Again", was released in December 1979. The album, "Shape Up Or Ship Out", came out a month later, in January 1980. They also released "Reaching Out" as a single. | |

Young Aziza Jalal studied music in Meknes before participating in a singing competition called Mawahib (Talents) supervised by renowned Moroccan singer Abdelnabi Al Jirari in 1975. During the competition, the singer performed songs of well-known Egyptian and international Arab icons, such as Shadia and Ismahan. In a singing career that lasted from 1975 to 1985, Aziza Jalal became a popular classical singers across the Arab world before deciding to give up the artistic scene for a life of piety with a Saudi husband. She was known to be King Hassan II of Morocco's favourite singer, and often appeared on Moroccan television and at state occasions singing nationalistic, pan-Arab, and Islamic-themed material. The singer had made a name for herself as one of the top Arab singers in the 70s and 80s. Jalal’s song “Mestaniyak” was covered by Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram, one of the most popular Arab artists. May 22, 2019 marked a surprise for the Arab World. It was the day that Moroccans and fans across the Arab world had the chance to meet again with the prominent Moroccan arabic singer, Aziza Jalal, who was out of the spotlight for 34 years. The singer made her first appearance since 1985 on a television show aired by MBC television channel. The TV show is called “Likaa mina sifr” or “meeting from scratch.” In the show, the singer also wowed audiences across the world when she performed her legendary song “Mestanyak,” translated as “I am waiting for you” in English, with the same passion and maybe a little bit more. The interview with Aziza Jalal was also posted by the television show on YouTube. The interview generated more than 1 million views and thousand of comments. At the same time he has been working in a lot of different solo music projects (techno, breakbeat, ambient, experimental). Since 2002 he has been taking part in a project Echogenik and from 2007 in the project Akreditacija and MC Dijamant. In 2009, together with several people, he formed an ensemble Liminalit. The basic idea of Liminalit is broadening of boundaries in all directions by playing with arrangements, rhythms, melodies, etc, which are all freed of strict genres; it is also an exploration of sound potentials. With Liminalit he performed on two big international festivals – Exit 2010 and Solstice 2011. He studied plastic arts at Arte Student's and then music at the New School of Music. During the 1920s, on his return to Caracas he collaborated as a columnist and caricaturist in different magazines and newspapers, including El Nuevo Diario, Élite and Nosotras. In 1946 he founded the Movement of Christian Metaphysics of Venezuela, diffuser of the teachings of the Count of Saint Germain, mythical figure of European occultism and Emmet Fox, some of many students were: Rubén Cedeño, Olga Pucci, Ana Mercedes Asuage de Rugeles and Lucy Fernandez. At the beginning of the decade of the 50's, she worked as an actress in the work "Camas separado" by Terence Rattingam. In her facet of writer emphasizes mainly her book "Memories of a crazy person" turning out to be a Bestseller. Among other books that stand out are "Think good and you will be given" "I'll give you what you want" and "The Wonderful number 7". He composed numerous musical works and made international tours offering concerts of singing and guitar.
