Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Formed in 2014 by a chance meeting, the pair began their career making music for joke; both are influenced from the same artists like Kevin Yost, The Timewriter, Ross Couch and many others and this appreciation for deeper grooves and complex rhythms soon found its way into their debut album ECHOES EP (march 2015) signed with I Records, the most important record label in Deep House scene during the last two decades. 2016 starts with a new EP with the UK label Different Attitudes, the included track "It's Cool" reached n.3 on Traxsource Top 100 Deep House. Costantly in creative motion, Deepkeen is currently recording material for the 4th album wich will be released very soon. Stay tuned! |

| Search | Add | 8 | Schlangengeist | Matt Bonk | One-man experimental industrial black metal / symphonic project created by Noise Nazi originally in 2017. Originally the demo "Nocturnal Feast" was recorded in summer of 2017. It featured nothing but electronic noise & dark ambiance with an emphasis on distorted & tortured vocal FX. "Immortal Beast" was recorded in 2018 & went toward a more conventional black metal style. Both demos were shelved & unknown to the public until a re-release of "Nocturnal Feast" was featured on Narkotik Analog Recordings in 2021. Since then, Schlangengeist has made a total of 3 demos, 1 rehearsal, a compilation tape & 1 split. The project went on to mix industrial, noise & power electronics with simplistic bass, guitar riffs & synth melodies. Forming "black metal" in a much more unconventional sense, with elements of grindcore, death metal, war metal & more. This project does not care about 'talent'. |

| Search | Add | 8 | Israel Sardiñas | Wilfredo Israel Sardiñas Domínguez | Birth: Oct. 16, 1949,Alturas de Canasí Death: Jul. 2, 2006,Miami Born in Alturas de Canasí (a town located halfway between Havana and Matanzas) and raised in the Cuban capital, the vocalist/bassist/arranger/composer Wilfredo Israel Sardiñas Domínguez initiated his professional career in 1975, playing bass with a group led by pianist Meme Solas, who must be credited for discovering Israel's diverse vocal qualities, including his powerful timbre, passionate delivery, stylistic versatility, and amazing improvisational skills. Israel Sardiñas joined Los Van Van in 1980. During his three years with Van Van he sang hits such as "Seis Semanas", "Vine a Verte", "Hoy Que Quieres de Mi". In 1983 he left the band during a tour of Mexico and later he moved to Miami. He was replaced in Los Van van by Mayito El Flaco who was then replaced by Mayito Rivera. It is clear that Formell was looking for singers with a similar timer and syle to fill the void left by Israel Sardiñas's departure. It is also interesting to note that César "Pupy" Pedroso hired Pepito Gómez who interpreted "Seis semanas" for Los Que Son Son and has the same type of brilliant timbre as Israel Sardiñas Influenced by Benny Moré, Raúl Planas and other Cuban legends, Israel paid his dues with Los Reyes '73 (a popular Van Van spin-off), Iresón, Neosón and other … Mr. Israel Sardiñas was regarded as one of the best soneros (a singer of the Cuban musical style known as son) of recent decades. "When he came on the scene [in the late '70s], other singers copied him," said influential Latin bandleader Juan Pablo Torres in a 1997 … He changed his name to Israel Kantor in 1984 in New York City, on the suggestion of Puerto Rican musician Johnny Pacheco. The atmosphere of Miami in the 1980's was not receptive to modern Cuban music preferring salsa romantica or "salsa nostalgica" such as covers of Benny More and Arsenio Rodríguez. Israel Sardiñas's attempts to create a new music style were not successful but he did find success singing traditional Cuban music with his voz de sonero. In 2003 Israel Sardiñas became a member of The Tropicana All Star Orchestra, which was nominated for two Latin Grammy Awards and two Grammy Awards for their albums "Recuerda a Benny More" and "Tradicion". a tribute to Benny Moré and other traditional songs. The band was very successful with it's show that included dancers á la tropicana. Israel Sardiñas was one of very few modern singers truly capable of interpreting Benny Moré with an authentic sonero flavor. Israel Sardiñas also performed with Fania and the legend says that it was Hector Lavoe that gave him the nickname "El Cantor" which he then took to be his artist name "Kantor". Group:Tropicana All Stars, Los Van Van, Los Yakos,Conjunto Rumbavana,NeoSon Cause of Death: Cancer: MIAMI (AP) - Israel Sardiñas, the Cuban musician who was part of the Grammy-winning Tropicana All Stars orchestra, died Saturday of cancer, his publicist said Sunday. He was 56. Israel Sardiñas died at his southwest Miami home, according to a statement from publicist F & F Media Corp. |

| Search | Add | 8 | The Ex-Bombers | The Ex-Bombers are a sinister psychedelic blues duo who play suspiciously resonant songs harnessing the thunder of electric 8-string bass and drums, a pair of wrecking ball voices, and a delightful kaleidoscope perspective of a world on fire. Since 2010 they have been amassing a cult following through their scintillating live shows and five electrifying vinyl releases on Cavetone Records. Thee Story: “Can you hear my heart beat? Whisper in my ear.” Each breath brings with it a shared collective consciousness until, hesitation... it skips a beat. Electricity charges the moment with its velvet touch and The Ex-Bombers begin the sonic ritual with an electric 8 string bass, a small drum set, and a unique blues-meets-garage-meets-jazz dual vocal attack. Their songs are both timely and timeless. The Ex-Bombers promotional photo complete with leather, cat print, and plastic wrap " A sinister extension of the late 60s sound, the pair would have been the house band for the leather club across from the Fillmore West. Think Grace Slick and Lou Reed took over The Doors, add the verve of first-wave garage psych (ex: Music Machine, Chocolate Watchband, Shadows of Knight), and stir in some of the most clever songwriting ever committed to wax. Primal pop hooks, unforgettable frenetic performances, and the type of honesty that only a funhouse mirror can provide. The Ex-Bombers have been a cult band in the making since their debut in a “venue” called the Snake Pit (a townhouse garage) back in 2010 where the decidedly non-punk pair dressed in all black ripped out a set of scintillating originals, perverted versions of covers, and let a pre-recorded VHS tape take the place of banter between songs. Everyone became lost in a shared moment. Curious looks turned to dedicated followers. Since that show, M. Keri Cousins (drums) and S.M. Nancy Walus (bass) have played anywhere with a power outlet on some of the biggest and the smallest stages at clubs, bars, breweries, art spaces, and even three weddings (Catholic, Pagan, and non-denominational for those keeping track). Along the way, they put out five vinyl releases on Cavetone Records that have been met with adulation and intrigue. The releases include multiple long players (“The Tightwire” [2012] / “Five Star Night” [2015] / “New Love Is Easy” [2021]) and 7” releases (Anti-single [2013] / Original Halloween tune [2018]) all recorded completely analog in the spirit of 1967 complete with the crazy concept of playing the songs live / together in a singular take. Known for the production of their albums, the pair have also been the invisible hands that have produced countless other bands' records. The Ex-Bombers continue to dedicate themselves to the craft of being musicians, chasing sounds, and writing songs that describe a kaleidoscope existence that is anything but vanilla. | |

| Search | Add | 8 | The Magic Track | Peter Makkai & András Szerepi | The Magic Track is a co-operation of two infatuated house and disco DJs and Producers from Debrecen, Hungary Gio, formerly known as Giocator was raised on classic house and techno, and also influenced by the sound of the 80's electro and synth-funk sound. In his twenties he produced Drum & Bass, released more than 50 tunes worldwide and also managed a label called: Black Seeds Recordings. After more than a decade of DNB, he returned to the disco scene and now he takes advantage of his previous experiences and learned skills to create something new. Gio is a typical INTJ, constantly pursuing and seeking for patterns. A wine-lover, who admires Russian literature as much as Latin culture and mentality. DRJ, formerly known as Dr. Juzztice - grown up on 80's pop, indie, and UK punk - first played as a DJ 20 years ago in local bars, community radio stations. With his former crew he was the promoter of a chillout venue of a local festival for more than a decade. He loved playing slower genres, like dub, downtempo and later he was very much into broken beat, nu jazz, or headz - among others. Always spiced his mixes with some funk and around 2018 he finally fell in love with disco. He is an amateur cook, runner and a big fan of French comics. It was inevitable that these guys will work together sometimes. They both love the classic funk & soul from the 70s and this is what they mix with brand new and recent house, disco, afro, brazil, indie dance and nu disco tunes. Their producer career was started in 2020 only, with some minor appearances on And Friends Records. Couple months later but still in 2020, they released their first solo EP 'Four Seasons' on Furious Mandrill Records. Their first little successes, came in early 2021, when their second Furious Mandrill EP reached the TOP 10 at Junodownload and it was sitting there for more than two weeks. By that time their music was supported by Fingerman, Pete Herbert, The Funk District, Stephen Richards, Mannix, Paul Older, Igor Gonya and they made a lot of nice friendships which was a great catalyst on their productivity. They appeared again on toplists several times and made some nice releases on Spa In Disco, Tropical Disco Records or Masterworks Music. Their latest digital EP was released on Hot Digits Music in July and also made it into the TOP100 on Junodownload. And what's more: some of their latest tunes were hit the record stores as well, as they released on Daje Funk Records, Legofunk, and on The Very Polish Cut outs. Next magic music is coming soon on Samosa Records, Furious Mandrill Records, Spa In Disco and more... |

| Search | Add | 8 | Århus Musikkontor | Århus Musikkontor (often spelled Aarhus Musikkontor and sometimes with musikernes egen booking appended to the name) was a Danish booking and management agency located in Aarhus and operating under this name from 1976 to 2004, when it was renamed to [a=Skandinavian]. History In 1973, eight Aarhus bands got together and set up their own alternative booking agency, [a=Musikernes Kontakt], where they booked jobs for themselves and each other. In 1976 Musikernes Kontakt was transformed into Århus Musikkontor and employed [a=Sven Gaul] of [a=Taurus (22)] as daily manager. From 1976 to 1982 Århus Musikkontor was located on the first floor of the original "Musikernes Hus - [l=Vestergade 58]”. In December 1978, after the transformation into Århus Musikkontor, the agency consisted of twelve bands/owners: [a=Shit & Chanel], [a=Djursland Spillemænd], [a=Kræn Bysted], [a=Big Joe Band], [a=Ballast (2)], Hokus Poulsen, Hus Band, [a=Luna (44)], Minas, Solaris, [a=Taurus (22)] and [a=Baldur (5)]. The daily work in the office was handled by [a=Sven Gaul], [a=Lone Poulsen] (from [a=Shit & Chanel]) and [a=Ulla Berg Andersen] (from [a=Folkstow]), who also made booking agreements for 70-80 other Danish groups and soloists including well-known names such as [a=Papa Bue], [a=C. V. Jørgensen], [a=Secret Oyster], [a=Gnags], [a=Gasolin'], [a=Skousen & Ingemann], [a=Trille], [a=Sebastian (5)], [a=Benny Holst] and [a=Arne Würgler]. The idea of a musician-driven booking agency quickly caught on in other Danish cities, and by 1980 several sister agencies had appeared in Copenhagen (see [a=Københavns Musikkontor]), Aalborg (see [a=Aalborg Musikkontor]), Odense, (see [a=Odense Musikkontor]) and Esbjerg. The Musikkontor agencies joined together in a national organization, Samarbejdsudvalget for De Danske Musikkontorer (DDM), which set up a secretariat in Copenhagen led by the former booker in Aarhus Musikkontor (and musician in Folkstow), [a=Flemming Madsen (3)], and, among other initiatives, launched a national transport support scheme and published the magazine "Rytmetryk". However, in Aarhus it soon became apparent that the amount of paperwork and the requirement for fixed telephone time did not fit in well with life as a touring musician. For this reason, in 1982, the Aarhus board decided to professionalize the enterprise and on 1 September a young [a=Bo Andersen (4)] was hired (with a commission salary) to manage the office with 100% free powers. Soon after, Bo Andersen took the initiative to move from the Vestergade 58 location to a more quiet address at Borgporten and employed his friend [a=Stener Nielsen]. While Århus Musikkontor continued to grow, De Danske Musikkontorer closed in the late 1980's together with other Musikkontor agencies. Around 1988, Århus Musikkontor entered the management area and acted as artistic and business advisor for artists like [a=tv-2], [a=Lars H.U.G.], [a=Poul Krebs], [a=Michael Falch], [a=Fielfraz] and [a=Dicte] (see [a=World Perfect]), and by the 1990's it was one of the three major booking companies in Denmark. In 1999, the agency together with [a=tv-2] launched their own record company [l=Pladeselskabet Have A Cigar] with the intention to support and promote upcoming Danish artists. In the 1950s, they recorded a lot on records - as a duet and accompanied by a pop orchestra. During the war, they played as part of propaganda brigades on different fronts - from the Northern to the Southern. Gunnarsdóttir studied at UCLA in Los Angeles and at the School of Visual Arts in New York.Ásdís is known for her performances that take place in unconventional places and her video installations consisting of three dimensionality and visual phsycadelic poetry. Treating videos as songs, Ásdís vj´s together combination of her videos and reads poetry over them. Her art work can vary from large video installations and performances to spoken word poetry and photography. Her performance at the Berlinale film festival was called “The Abstract Prophecy Conference”. It was a 45 min long “journey to the psychedelic vastness of the feminie mind. The artist controls an abstract PowerPoint blended in with music, videos, performances and poetry”. A one woman show where she mixes video art and skype performances into the stage. Ásdís started making performances through skype in 2007 where she had a new performance every Sunday afternoon by the computer. The audience would call in that hour for a performance. Since then she has on and off used the online medium for performance and video making, where improvising plays a big part of the art. In 2011 she made a large video installation called “Improvised, immediate past” in the show “Momentum”, she recorded a performance and did not allow herself to edit it, it was a one take and projected onto the walls, live size from 3 different angles. This way she wanted to release her control over the video medium and celebrate the “Power of now”, the beauty in the details. Ásdís is a part of an artist group that is called “Theater of Artists” that makes glamorous evenings of performances in the basement of The National Theater in Iceland. In the fall of 2011 Ásdís along with Ragnar Kjartansson and Davíð Þór Jónsson lead a residency in Banff called “The Soiree Retreat” where artists got together every week and made an evening of Soirees, full of poetry, videos and singing. |

| Search | Add | 8 | Keith Voegele | Bass player currently living in Springfield, IL. In the late 80s Keith spent five years with Axe Minister, a metal band based out of St. Louis. While working at St. Louis Music making Ampeg and Crate equipment, he joined Lex Luthor, a band that mixed originals with covers. However, a contact made from the metal days, lead to him moving to Boston to play with Epic recording artists, Meliah Rage, a thrash metal band. The drummer of that band was Sully Erna, who went on to become the lead singer of Godsmack. In the mid-90’s, Keith was back in St. Louis anchoring with The Phonocaptors, playing hard-edged original music in the vein of the Velvet Underground, MC5 and The Stooges. That band had a tune on a compilation CD entitled St. Louis’ Tribute to Chuck Berry. The Bottle Rockets also had a song on that CD. Some years later when the Bottle Rockets needed a bass player, the engineer of that release suggested Keith. After moving to Springfield, Illinois, Keith joined the Bottle Rockets in 2005 – and has held down the bottom ever since. | |

| Search | Add | 8 | Los Angeles Police Band | The Los Angeles Police Concert Band | The LAPD Concert Band (also known as "L.A.'s OWN") was formed in 1914 as the official band of the Los Angeles Police Department and the City of Los Angeles. Originally made up entirely of sworn officers, it played regularly for police recruit graduations, and a wide number of police and civic functions. After WWII, soon-to-become LAPD officer, [a306698], had worked as a commercial pilot. Roddenberry, who is best remembered for creating the original Star Trek television series, had been raised in Los Angeles, where his father had been an LAPD officer. Since a boy, he had also known William H. Parker, who would become Chief of Police. Roddenberry decided his own future should be as a television writer and that the ideal training ground for that career would be the Los Angeles Police Department. The future creator of Star Trek had been particularly impressed with Parker’s openness to new ideas as well as his intellectual curiosity. Years later, these characteristics were to inspire one of his most famous characters, Spock, the half Vulcan, half human, ultra-rational Science Officer of the fictional Starship Enterprise. William Parker died just days before Star Trek premiered, on Sept. 8, 1966. The Watts Riots a year earlier had made him something of a household name. And yet no one — perhaps not even [a278871], the actor chosen to portray Spock — knew that the character's dual nature was [a306698]’s tribute to the late chief. Howard Jarvis, a pugnacious businessman was the principal architect of the infamous Proposition 13, formally called the People’s Initiative to Limit Property Taxation. Jarvis a pillar of bombast became the public face of the referendum — a "prophet of fiscal rectitude" to his admirers. He was unfazed by severe spending reductions that the proposition forced upon many communities and institutions. “The most important thing in this country is not the school system, nor the police department, nor the fire department,” he said. “The right to preserve, the right to have property in this country, the right to have a home in this country — that’s important.” He drew inspiration from another Howard: Beale, the mad newscaster in the 1976 film “Network.” The fictional Beale was immortalized by his signature line: “I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore!” In 1978, driven by the small of stature, yet bigger-than-life Jarvis, California voters overwhelmingly passed Proposition 13, which lowered property taxes for millions of the state’s homeowners. However, its passage reduced tax funding to the LAPD, which meant that active police officers were required to dedicate their duty hours exclusively to enforcement, not as musicians. As a result, the band was dissolved. Shortly after the band dissolved, a group of civic leaders headed by theater owner, Bob Ahmanson, and [a306698], formed an all-volunteer band under the direction of John Campbell. Throughout the 1980s the band expanded into the 75-member ensemble it is today. Many of its members are well-known professional artists who play in local symphonies, big bands, and as studio musicians. We also feature a cadre of experienced amateur musicians, many of whom are retired from professions in the law, medicine, and education. Now under the direction of Maestro Richard Allen, the band is poised to reach out to the communities within the City of Los Angeles and beyond on behalf of the LAPD, having been designated "LA's OWN." |
