Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 8 | Евгений Кононенко | Евгений Кононенко | DJ Kononenko (Евгений Кононенко). Любимые стили: House, Trance, Progressive Trance, Tech House, Tribal House, Electro. Flash.K, Mr. BIOS, Alarm Bell, Zero Time, Cross-Fire, Stop All Button, Def Beat, Peak Factor, Via Net Loss, Freedom of Access, Mixing Booth, Dance Algorithm, DJ Kononenko. Под этими именами записаны несколько отдельных треков, который были включены в различные компиляции (Future Russian Trance/ Future Russian House/DJ at Work by DJ NIKK mix), |

Search | Add | 8 | Shuvam Kundu | Shuvam Kundu hails from Kolkata, West Bengal, India. He began his musical journey as a beatboxer at the age of fourteen, incorporating and exploring genres like drum ’n’ bass, dubstep, trip-Hop, and breakbeat. After eight years, in 2020, he decided to focus on electronic music production and started a project called "2K.” The word "2K" projects the degeneration of both music and the music industry from the year 2000 to the end of the millennium. The sound is created by building layers of distorted frequencies via a rhythmic flow of noisy beats, resulting in an acerbic ambiance throughout the entire mix. 2K’s sonic palette betrays the influence of artists such as Autechre, Merzbow, Aphex Twin, Dhangsha, DSPSSSSD, Death Grips, Ryoji Ikeda, Ho99o9, and The Prodigy.

Gunnarsdóttir studied at UCLA in Los Angeles and at the School of Visual Arts in New York.Ásdís is known for her performances that take place in unconventional places and her video installations consisting of three dimensionality and visual phsycadelic poetry. Treating videos as songs, Ásdís vj´s together combination of her videos and reads poetry over them. Her art work can vary from large video installations and performances to spoken word poetry and photography. Her performance at the Berlinale film festival was called “The Abstract Prophecy Conference”. It was a 45 min long “journey to the psychedelic vastness of the feminie mind. The artist controls an abstract PowerPoint blended in with music, videos, performances and poetry”. A one woman show where she mixes video art and skype performances into the stage. Ásdís started making performances through skype in 2007 where she had a new performance every Sunday afternoon by the computer. The audience would call in that hour for a performance. Since then she has on and off used the online medium for performance and video making, where improvising plays a big part of the art. In 2011 she made a large video installation called “Improvised, immediate past” in the show “Momentum”, she recorded a performance and did not allow herself to edit it, it was a one take and projected onto the walls, live size from 3 different angles. This way she wanted to release her control over the video medium and celebrate the “Power of now”, the beauty in the details. Ásdís is a part of an artist group that is called “Theater of Artists” that makes glamorous evenings of performances in the basement of The National Theater in Iceland. In the fall of 2011 Ásdís along with Ragnar Kjartansson and Davíð Þór Jónsson lead a residency in Banff called “The Soiree Retreat” where artists got together every week and made an evening of Soirees, full of poetry, videos and singing. |

The original lineup featured their first singer Vancollan (Chicken Bowels) and the guitarist Motsu (Chicken Bowels, Gudon, Outo, Half Years, Rise From The Dead). They went on to form [a=Chicken Bowels] after leaving Plazma-X. Their drummer, Nobu is ex-自我 ([a=Jiga (2)]). The band's musical style shifted to speed metal (w/ punk influences) ~ heavy metal in their later years, released at least two demos in 1986 and 1987, and the now (super) hard-to-find 7" flexi "Masquerade" on the band's own label in 1988. Search | Add | 8 | Big Dan Starr | Estle Don Linebarger | Lead singer "Big Dan" Starr certainly had a colorful relationship with his own identity... The Dan Starr persona was one of many he used during his lifetime, including several variations of his birth name, Estle Don Linebarger (1937-2004). Mr. Linebarger was born in Missouri and as a teen he performed on local radio and played around in a hillbilly band called the Ozark String Dusters. Linebarger joined the Army in the late 'Fifties and played European gigs in a serviceman's band that included Tommy Cash, Johnny Cash's brother. (Or at least that's what he told the Orlando Sentinel when they profiled him in 1973). He started writing music as a teen, copyrighting at least one song in mid-'Fifties, and released a few singles between 1968-73, including a UFO conspiracy anthem ("Captain Tom Martell") and a patriotic song, "Bugle Boy," which he dedicated to Vietnam War-era POWs. At some point, he may have lived in Nashville, and in the late '60s was playing clubs around Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware. Around 1968, he led a group called the Rustlers, which he later changed to the Hometowners. Going by the name Starr, Mr. Linebarger eventually moved to Florida, establishing himself as a bandleader and television host, fronting a group known as the Hometowners USA. |

Search | Add | 8 | Eric Crugnale | New York, New York There’s this guy named Eric Crugnale. You can call him Crug-nally, or Cruñale or possibly even Crug-nail, but not Crug-a-nagel. Anyway, he writes songs. He can also sing and play the guitar. He knows how to do other stuff too, but that’s a topic for another bio. Back in the day, he was in a band named The Rockefellers where he wrote songs, played guitar and sang as those were the things he’d be most likely to do in a band. They had some fun, made some records, played some shows, exchanged some moving parts and eventually disbanded with Eric deciding to chill out for a few years. But the lore of the sea beckoned him back, and he eventually decided to build a home studio, and through some other fortuitous events, found himself connected with some great musicians that could tolerate him and help him realize some of his more recent musical inspirations. This lead to his first solo release, Carol Was Here in late 2010. The album received rave reviews on the Power Pop circuit making several “best of” lists for the year, earning a respectable amount of radio play, drawing songwriter comparisons to Bacharach, McCartney and Wilson and generating enough sales to pay for the paper this bio is written on. The digital-only release Under the Cushions followed in 2012. Eric eventually returned to the studio to work on the follow up album, the latest and greatest Time Kills. If you don’t blink too frequently, you may catch him around NY performing his own songs, making a guest appearance at a NYRMA event, playing guitar in a friend's band or picking up his dry cleaning on Saturday mornings.

He often came to rave watching the performances of his favorite artists, they gave him strength and a desire for more creative inspiration and a desire to create something new, progressive, began work in his own recognizable style, much of which was played by his nature and perception of the world . Soon they were busy in complex rough directions, and the technology as a whole is sound experiments in such directions and styles as techno, trance, idm, doom, industrial, rhythmic noise, under the wing of its own network label "sacramental", where he hid under the Exact Noise. He performed in clubs and hidden forests. In 2015, recording began on the ground. Over time, he began to live more in the basement of the Studio somewhere in the Moscow region, called it "Holerika", where he continues to actively engage in creativity. He also composes for others contemporary and hip-hop dance companies, espacially Brahim Bouchelaghem (« Hiya », « Sillons », « Usure »…). He was nominated for the 2009 Qwartz Electronic Music Awards for his album « Clepsydre ». His music combines contemplation and emotion, exploring electronic and minimalist and genres. Christallen started out as a pure song group but over the years the music developed and the blues section took on a more prominent role. In this way, you created your own profile. Lennart Sjöholm, who was a foreground figure within the group, composed his own songs and lyrics and arranged all material for the group. Often the group played in front of crowded premises. Among other things, they participated in and introduced the youth program Gospel Night together with Offensive Nytt Liv. The group also participated in several gospel gala, including with the choir [a=Choralerna]. Christallen toured all over the country but also in Denmark and Norway. He cut his first single in 1958 while still in college, recording a couple of songs written by local deejay Bob Bobo and went on to record sporadically over the years. In the late '60s he recorded at Sun Records, and during the '70s and early '80s cut several records for the Nashville indie, Churchill Records, grazing the back end of the Top 100 a couple of times in 1980-81. Although he was born in the Midwest, Dycke moved to Fort Myers and became known as a Florida-based artist. |

Search | Add | 8 | Debbie Dierks | Debbie Dierks Montgomery | American singer/songwriter and musician from Kansas City. Daughter of Kay (Irene) Johnson, Orlene's sister. Niece of songwriter/record label owner [a6589992]. She's been singing since she learned to talk. She grew up harmonizing with her family while her mother sang and played guitar. Her mother and twin sister had been live radio singers/entertainers known as 'Kit and Kay' during the 1930's-40's. Debbie was fascinated by her mother's musical background and grew up imagining herself as a professional singer just like her mother. Debbie began singing in talent shows and school concerts. She learned to play the piano and the guitar and spent many hours singing and writing songs. Throughout high school and college, she was active in school choral groups, musical revues, and sang in church choirs. When her father died, she wrote a song for him entitled 'Daddy's Little Girl.' With this song and several other songs she had written, she and her mother and aunt headed for Nashville. Debbie was nineteen when she recorded her first country album, 'Lucky Chicago'. To promote the album, Debbie put together her own band and spent a few years traveling and playing clubs and fairs. During this time, she opened concerts for Waylon Jennings and Hank Williams Jr. as well as for Hank Snow and for T.G. Shepard. After being on the road for a time, Debbie became disillusioned with the competitiveness of the recording business and decided to go back to college. She completed her master's degree in business and met and married her husband. She maintained her love for music and chose to volunteer her services to her church. As a Sunday soloist and congregational song leader, she became more and more appreciative of Christian music. She once again began to write songs, but this time she found that she was inspired to express herself in a much more spiritual way, which resulted in Debbie's CD release, 'According To Thy Will.' |
