Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Ayota | Ayota is the ongoing project of keyboard player & producer [a=Ski Oakenfull]. It was born out of Ski's love of all things Ambient, Experimental & Japanese, with artists such as [a=Brian Eno], [a=Steve Reich], [a=David Sylvian] & [a=Ryuichi Sakamoto] all being big influences. It was whilst on a holiday in Japan in 2004 that Ski was inspired by a Japanese friend's book of Poetry entitled 'Kumorizora no Helicopta' to write soundtracks to three of the poems. This quickly developed into an album project continuing the Japanese ambient theme, the result being 'Helicopter Cuts' which was released in Japan only on the label '[l=Third Ear]' in 2007. The Ayota project has also performed live at both 'The Big Chill' & 'Bestival' with [a=Simon Richmond] (Palmskin Productions), [a=Jeremy Shaw] & [a=Shawn Lee] all joining the stage! Recently Ski has been putting the finishing touches to the third Ayota album, entitled 'Floating Worlds', as well as collating his early experiments to form the 'Selected Ambient Works 91-98' album released on [l=Primaudial Records].
Search | Add | 3 | Siddy Valentine | Siddy Valentine is an artist that just want to scream it loud. His pop punk is full of influences, from classic punk to 2010’s metal, he’s always searching for a mix of every shade from the music witch he’s grown up with. There’s always a reference to his personal life and experience in his lyrics. “I play music since I’m 6 years old and punk scene has always fascinated me because of the grit and the right attitude has pushed me to fight against the world. From the ashes of the previous project, I decided that it was the right time for me to make my music and my own choices. I always tried to make my music as personal as possible, both lyrically and musically. After two years of battling from a thyroid cancer, I’m finally ready to go against my written destiny, and win."

Search | Add | 3 | David Neuer | David Neuer | 1971 - 2007 (suicide). David Neuer's musical spectrum covers acoustic ballads, avant-blues twangin', psychedelic musique noir and undefinable semi-melodic no-fi weirdness. Neuer made eccentric cassette tape recordings since 1984. Later, he spent some time with a more crisp/clear/hi-fi sounding MiniDisc recorder as his alias, I.C. Cassiel. Other collaborations Neuer was involved in included West Cower Funtry and Los Flying Falafflers, and the more "serious" projects, Defenders of the 49th Parallel and Not Supposed To Drink It. In the early 1990s, Neuer played drums in a couple of bands with (Tender Prey's) Kenneth Larsen. As a poet, Neuer displayed his talents in the form of four Danish-language books, and participated on both of the BSBTA Talkathon Series releases with some poetry readings - with and without musical accompaniment. |

Search | Add | 3 | Deildarbungubræður | Deildarbungubræður was a band that fought on the country market in 1977-79 and managed to release two large albums at the time. The band was originally assembled as a fun-filled event for the Melgerðismel in Skagafjörður in the 1976 shopping mall, where she played at Eik. The band was composed by Axel Einarsson guitarist, Bragi Björnsson (driver Eikar) bass player, Þorsteinn Magnússon (guitarist Eikar) drummer and Lárus Grímsson (keyboardist Eikar) guitarist. The country (which can be called Eikar's sister song) was a kind of counterbalance for the heavy music that Eik played, while Deildarbungubræður played a lightweight ballet that was easy to dance with. (Google translation of the text below until somebody provides a proper biography in English) - - - - - - Deildarbungubræður var hljómsveit sem herjaði á sveitaballamarkaðinn á árunum 1977-79 og náði að gefa út tvær stórar plötur á þeim tíma. Hljómsveitin var upphaflega sett saman sem grínverkefni fyrir útihátíð á Melgerðismelum í Skagafirði um verslunarmannahelgina 1976 en þar lék hún í pásu hjá Eik, Deildarbungubræður skipuðu að sögn þeir Axel Einarsson gítarleikari, Bragi Björnsson (bílstjóri Eikar) bassaleikari, Þorsteinn Magnússon (gítarleikari Eikar) trommuleikari og Lárus Grímsson (hljómborðsleikari Eikar) gítarleikari. Sveitin (sem réttilega má kalla systursveit Eikar) var eins konar mótvægi fyrir þá þungu tónlist sem Eik lék en Deildarbungubræður léku léttpopp sem auðvelt var að dansa við.

Search | Add | 3 | Sid Plamadon | Sid Plamondon | Sidney Plamondon (Plamador) was born in St. Regis, Huntingdon, Quebec, on October 26, 1910. When he was four years old, his mother bought him a violin for Christmas. Sid would play his violin every chance he got. When his mother was tired of hearing him, he would go and play his violin under his bed. At the age of ten he began making up his own tunes, and at thirteen he started to play his violin with friends and at house parties. Sid married in 1938, and in 1944 moved to Cornwall, where he had his own orchestra and played four to five nights a week. Sid also taught violin, guitar and piano, made and refinished violins, tuned pianos, and repaired other musical instruments. In 1950 Sid formed a group: Sid and his Western Pals. He played for CJSS in the early ’50s. The musicians who played in the group were Johnny Chenier, Benny Dumont, Larry Desrossiers, Lawrence Leroux and his Sid’s wife, Simone. Sid and Simone played at many street dances, and the group often played in Quebec. They also played for many wedding receptions. Sid was busy almost every weekend in 1956. He played in many contests and won numerous trophies. Around 1958 Sid and Simone moved to Alexandria, where he had his own music store on Main Street. He sold records, tapes, pianos, violins and guitars. Around 1971, they moved to Glen Robertson, where they stayed. There, he still had many students and continued to do piano tuning. In 1995 Sid moved to the Maria Goretti residence in Alexandria. He continued to give lessons to some of his pupils in his room and also went to play his violin at some private parties. In 2001 his health deteriorated and he had to be transferred to the Community Nursing Home in Alexandria. Sid and his Western Pals lasted fifty-five years. He passed away on September 18, 2002. Sid Plamondon and his music will always be remembered by his family and friends. |

Search | Add | 3 | Silence Betrayed | Silence Betrayed was a dynamic independent rock band from southern California. Known for their heavy riffs and explosive stage presence, the foursome intermittently toured the southwestern US from 2007-2012 booking gigs with groups like Nonpoint, Soil, Kitty, 36 Crazyfists, and Straight Line Stitch. After nearly six years of writing, recording, and touring, Silence Betrayed had reached maturity. With noticeable influences ranging from Alice in Chains to Drowning Pool, their sound had been described as brutal, melodic, and memorable - all qualities that the band proudly endorsed. The music, look, and live show emitting from this band rivaled that of the era's most popular hard rock acts. Their songs were memorable, stage presence superior, and performances unforgettable.

Search | Add | 3 | Serial Cut™ | Serial Cut™ | [A=Serial Cut™] is a Madrid based studio, established in 1999 by Sergio del Puerto, working on a wide variety of worldwide projects, but focussing mainly on Art Direction. A growing team: Serial Cut works alongside an ever-growing team of professionals, who specialize in different areas such as photography, design, motion-graphics and 3D design. Depending on the nature of a given project, different collaborators are chosen to give each piece a new dimension. Versatile projects: Big and small companies from arts and culture, fashion or entertainment industries are our primary clients; for each new project from a given client, we like to change the look and feel of the design. Type reinforces the concept Image and type are a great combination that we like to use on all the projects we work on. Typography plays an important role in the end product. Visual culture: Inspiration comes from current and past decades, but we always review it and renew it, bringing it into today's perspective with an actual look. Surpass expectations Our aim is to go beyond what's in our minds and in our clients' minds when we start a project, to take the challenge a little further both in terms of technique and of concept, and to always end up with a contemporary and fresh result. Search | Add | 3 | Xanthoma | Xanthoma is the side project of Dale Lee (bass) and Gramie Dee (guitars); both members of British thrash metal band Blood Money. Xanthoma is an outlet for their darker side, encompassing the ethos of death, the despair of doom and the destruction that is thrash. Sean Nelson from Tennessee death metal band Diabolical Dismemberment, completes the line-up on vocals, drum programming created by Mal Robins. Why this name? Xanthoma n. (Med.) zan-'thô-mə. A form of skin cancer Xanthoma n. (Metal.) zan-'thô-mə. A form of brutal, death/thrash/doom metal Do you play live? Xanthoma is currently a side project only, and seeing as the band members are in different countries (Dale and Gramie UK, Sean U.S.A.) NO gigs are planned for the time being. How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry? The internet has opened up the underground metal scene to broader horizons. More people can now gain access to music that was previously out of reach. Would you sign a record contract with a major label? Xanthoma is a side project, but if interest was shown by a label, then yes. Your influences? Opeth, Slayer, Mortician, Sabbath, Death

Search | Add | 3 | Airhead DC | Vishal Narang | Vishal Narang has pursued music through his entire young adulthood, but his first proper band came about after moving to New York to study art history at NYU. Through a mutual friend, Narang met Greta Kline (of Frankie Cosmos) and the two quickly decided to start playing music together after noticing their similar sense of humor and mutual enthusiasm about each other’s songwriting. After deciding on the name Milk Ghost, Narang and Kline began practicing regularly, creating Beat Happening inspired arrangements to Narang’s anecdotal songs about friends. Building on that experience, Narang started Nirvanus, a solo electronic project inspired by the many noise and house records he found through the Greenwich Village record store, Other Music, like Black Dice and Smallville Records releases. Through Nirvanus, Narang introduced himself to new equipment and recording techniques, incorporating samples, live instruments, and heavy use of effects together for the first time. After graduating college Narang decided to move across the country to Los Angeles, where Nirvanus eventually caught the attention of the budding indie label, Danger Collective Records, before returning to the East Coast and reinventing himself once again as Airhead DC. |
