Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Eugene Tam | Executive producer. Owner and operator of Toronto institution Play De Record and it's in house recording studio, [l1063581]. Tam opened Play De Record in 1990 in the Yonge and Dundas area – the store was considered an essential stop for anyone closely following dance music and hip hop. Play De Record became a hub for crate diggers of all stripes who hung out for hours on drop days, hunting through the store’s one-of-a-kind selection. Every Thursday Tam would drive down to Buffalo at six o’clock in the morning to pick up all of the latest records from the US and then would rush back to Toronto to get new records to the store early (in order to ensure that all the DJs would come to his store first). In addition to selling international music and supporting local and Canadian Hip Hop talent, in 1993 Play De Record started a label - [l73239] - to produce and distribute their music. Today Play De Record continues it's mission of delivering music, fresh and vintage, to music fans of all stripes from it's new location on Spadina Avenue near College Street. On October 22, 2022, a documentary by Canterbury Crescent Filmworks on Eugene Tam and Play De Record's influence on the Canadian Hip Hop and DJ scene had it's theatrical premier, Drop The Needle. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Miroslav Matušić | Miroslav Matušić was born on December 19, 1925. in Brodica, a Roma-Vlach village in Zvižd. Already at the age of seven, he started playing the trumpet with local orchestras, at all important events in the town. Before the Second World War, he married Bosa, a girl from the village, with whom he had six children. After the end of the war, he decides to found his own ensemble. Although he was not musically literate, he managed to stand out thanks to his inexhaustible talent. In 1957, he recorded his famous round "Brodijanka" with Krnjevč's ensemble, shortly after that "Majdanka", and it was these singles that made him a well-known trumpet player in all of Serbia. He conveyed the magic of Eastern Serbia through sound, and thus managed to become the first trumpet of Radio Belgrade, as well as the Krnjevče Ensemble. In the 1960s, Matušić most liked to play with accordion players, and especially with his children, that is, Velizar Matušić's orchestra, which at one time was one of the best folk orchestras in Serbia. Together, they were an irreplaceable part of the "Homoljski Motifs" exhibition of folk art in Kučevo, founded in 1968. He also appeared in two television series, "Love in a rural way" and "Citizens of the village of Luga" with the famous Silvana Armenulić. In the mid-seventies, he recorded his only album "Handful of songs by Miroslav Matušić" for "Jugodisk". On one side of the record there are 12 Serbian folk songs: "Pšeničice sitno seme", "Where will you be beautiful Kejo", "Last night when I went deer hunting", "My rose bloomed this morning", "What time is it?" ", "I was surprised, aman, I", "Ah, my Alyo", "I'm a little gypsy", "Here is joy to my heart", "Kaleš bro Anđo", "Oj devojča Piroćanča" and "Do you know, dear, where our places". And on the second, nine Wallachian songs: "Ozelenela dolina", "Vlaška poskočica", "My dagane", "I have no father, I have no mother", "Momačka sad", "In the early dawn", "Send off the godfather", "Green leaf from hazelnuts" and "Hey youth". A successful career and popularity that exceeded the borders of the country marked his life. He died on April 13, 1991, and was buried in Kučevo. He spent the last years of his life in Rabrov, where he lived with his second wife. Source EBranicevo | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Katie J White | Originally from a very small town, Denmark in Western Australia, singer, songwriter, guitarist and bass player, Katie J White has taken her music as far as London and she has played literally hundreds of venues across Australia from Broome WA to the Sunshine Coast QLD. Her career began at age 14 when she supported The Waifs in front of thousands of people. Katie J White took out the 2016 West Australian Music Industry (WAMI) Song Of The Year Award for the Blues and Roots category with her song 'River'. 'Warrior', another track of her EP, was also nominated that year, following a double nomination in 2015 with her song 'Gypsy'. This makes three out of five tracks on her third EP WAMI nominated. In January 2017 her 4th album, ‘Red Cloud’ was released, featuring Katie’s ability to tell deep stories, through song, and also the range of musical styles she had mastered at the age of 23, from stripped back folk songs recorded with nothing but her and her guitar, to heavy and moving rock ballads driven by Katie’s bass playing style. A national tour in 2018 which includes 60 gigs in 6 months across Australia. Katie has played at all the main folk festivals in WA, including full house performances at Western Australia's renowned Fairbridge, Nukara, Nannup, and Perth International Arts Festivals. Katie's prides herself on the depth of her poetic original songs. They unfailingly take the listener on a moving journey led by her astounding vocals. Her sheer honesty and ability to tell a tail so richly within 3-5 minutes is something very unique. She exposes herself and most tragic times of life in songs like ‘Daddy in the Sky’, and shares the challenges of living in London at age 19 in songs like ‘Gypsy’. Then there’s the all heart and soul songs like “Home’ which dive into unconditional love and devotion. There is something that will touch every listener across Katie’s original song collection, and her unforgettable voice will stay with you long after the gig is over. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | GemValleyMusiQ | GemValleyMusiQ, are considered with Toxicated Keys as pioneers of the Rough Amapiano genre. The three members of GemValleyMusiQ (22-yo Comfort Mphahlele aka Rushky D' MusiQ , 23-yo Phuti Makhafola aka Phuddy Jay and 18-yo Ofentse Mauwane aka Drumonade) kept some of the basic principles of classic Amapiano : mid-tempo BPMs, syncopated beats and energetic, party-oriented vocals. But they stripped out the warmth and sweetness of the original version and made room for robotic vibes an eerie feel of never-ending pressure. They produce mid-tempo house music, like regular Amapiano, but its swing sounds from another world : it's called the "clunk bass", and it's both dark and uplifting. Around it moves two-note motifs and drum patterns, with jazzy vamps and sunrise-ready synths. This is music you could almost chill to, but actually mental enough to make you go slowly crazy on the dancefloor. Recently, GemValleyMusiQ released the single Jozi Night which was considered as one of the hottest viral songs on TikTok last summer. And they remixed of the French pop band Phoenix. It's coming from the future, and this is now out on PSSNGR, a new label dedicated to emerging African electronic. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Los #2 Dinners | From Last FM profile: Los #3 Dinners are a mainstay of San Antonio’s diverse music scene. The story begins in 1979 with the band’s first incarnation, Los #2 Dinners. After years of pounding the SA club scene, The Dinners called it quits in order to pursue personal interests in the early 1990s. Shortly after, band leader “Lenny” Eric Friedland, guitarist Frank Karpienski, bassist Bart Nichols, and blues musician/childhood friend Joe Shortt formed the short-lived blues band “The Pralines.” As word of the Pralines spread around town, a renewed interest in the old #2 Dinners material emerged. In 1995, The Prailines changed their name to Los #3 Dinners after the addition of drummer Jake Perales. Thus, Los #3 Dinners was born! The sound of Los Number #3 Dinners is a high-energy mix of guitar-driven garage rock, South Texas soul, surf-instrumental, and the blues. The Dinners are constantly shaping and tightening their sound while playing the songs that have been rocking San Antonio for nearly three decades. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | The University of Virginia Glee Club | The Virginia Glee Club is a critically acclaimed men’s chorus based at the University of Virginia. It performs both traditional and contemporary vocal works, typically in TTBB arrangements. Founded in 1871, the Glee Club is the University’s oldest musical organization and one of the oldest all-male collegiate vocal ensembles in the United States. It is currently conducted by Frank Albinder. The Virginia Glee Club was founded in 1871 as the Cabell House Men. In the 1893–1894 session of the University, the Glee Club was combined with other extant student musical groups to form the Glee, Banjo, and Mandolin Club, a more permanent organization, with professor of mathematics (and University Chapel organist) Harrison Randolph as the director. During this period, the group toured major Southern cities annually, playing to standing room only crowds in Richmond and traveling as far afield as Atlanta, St. Louis. and Memphis, according to contemporary accounts, donating the profits to the Athletic Association of the University of Virginia. The group continued to perform and tour the South through the early 1900s; they are recorded as visiting Atlanta on tour under the direction of a student, John Shishmanian, in October 1905, and a contemporary letter attests to their existence in that fall 1905. After the fall of 1905, the group disbanded and reformed periodically; University historian Philip Alexander Bruce indicates it disbanded in 1905, then reformed in 1910–1911 and began to perform again. The group went on hiatus for a year in the fall of 1912, citing “disadvantageous circumstances” with the hope of reforming later. It apparently did reform in late 1913 or early 1914, based on a January 1914 photo of the group. Finally, in January 1915, it was reorganized under the leadership of Professor Alfred Lawrence (A.L.) Hall-Quest (professor of educational psychology); Hall-Quest is said to have modeled the group after the glee club of his alma mater, Princeton University. Since 1915, the Virginia Glee Club has been in continuous existence as a men’s chorus at the University. From the 1920s into the 1980s, the Glee Club enjoyed an association with the McIntire Department of Music through a series of directors who were members of the music faculty, including Arthur Fickenscher, Harry Rogers Pratt, Stephen Tuttle, Donald Macinnis, and Donald Loach. The group was viewed as an educational resource that enhanced other offerings; a course catalog from the 1920s offered students in the Composition class the opportunity to have their works performed by the Glee Club. During the 1940s, the Glee Club worked with composer in residence Randall Thompson when director Stephen Tuttle commissioned Thompson to write The Testament of Freedom, a setting of Thomas Jefferson’s words about liberty, for the Virginia Glee Club. In the later years of Tuttle’s tenure, the Glee Club recorded an album with RCA of traditional university songs, accompanied by the University of Virginia Band. In 1953, members of the Glee Club formed the Virginia Gentlemen, the oldest a cappella group at UVA, which originated as a performing subset of the Glee Club and became an independent organization in the 1980s. The 1960s and 1970s found the group developing a specialty in Renaissance music under the direction of University professor Donald Loach, who developed a countertenor section within the group to meet the demands of the polyphonic style. At this time the group performed on national and international stages, including a performance at the State Department for the Washington Diplomatic Corps Banquet in 1968, the only college glee club to be so honored at the time. In 1971, the Z Society gave the Glee Club its Organization Award in recognition of its concerts, the recording of its album A Shadow’s on the Sundial, and its pending first European tour. The group toured Europe in 1972, funding the trip with individual and community contributions, as well as profits from their 1972 recording, A Shadow’s on the Sundial. In 1989, the Virginia Glee Club became a Contracted Independent Organization, with substantial assistance from Gilbert J. Sullivan and the UVA Alumni Association, when the Music Department moved unilaterally to combine it with the Virginia Women’s Chorus into a mixed choir, which would have eliminated the Glee Club’s independent identity. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Mirra Alfassa | Mirra Alfassa (21 February 1878 – 17 November 1973), known to her followers as The Mother, was a spiritual guru, an occultist and a collaborator of Sri Aurobindo, who considered her to be of equal yogic stature to him and called her by the name "The Mother". She founded the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and established Auroville as a universal town; she was an influence and inspiration to many writers and spiritual personalities on the subject of Integral Yoga. Mirra Alfassa was born in Paris on 1878 to a bourgeois family. In her youth, she travelled to Algeria to practise occultism under Max Théon. After returning, she travelled around the world and finally settled in Pondicherry, India with Sri Aurobindo and his followers. With growing numbers of followers, the settlement was turned into an ashram over the years, where she worked with Sri Aurobindo in establishing Integral Yoga and guiding its pupils. In 1943, she started a school in the ashram and in 1968 established Auroville, an experimental township free from discrimination of nationality, language, creed and politics. She died on 17 November 1973 in Pondicherry. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Curse Of Samsara | CURSE of SAMSARA was an epic metal outfit from Philadelphia, PA active from 2009-2015. Drawing influence from thrash, death, black and power metal, Samsara takes the listener on a journey through the bowels of consciousness, expressing in it’s dark form the legend of life as we know it, that which we've been fooled to believe. Twisting harmonic patterns intertwined with chunky speed riffage, rhythmic intensity, and melodic interludes forge the phenomenon of this heavy metal band. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Housecrack Sandro | Alessandro Atria | Sandro, born 1970, may state being influenced by music from early on in his childhood. Through his elder brother, who was a DJ late in the 1970's, he developed a taste for DISCO and got to love the spirit and energy of this music as well as the vinyl record as creative medium. Soon he dedicated his spare time to record players and started to acquire DJ skills on a playful level. To continue on his way however Sandro had to wait until being 14 because only then he could enlist to the municipal youth-center's DJ team. Some years later he entered the Stuttgart (Germany) nightlife via the bar "Flexibel" where he performed Housemusic and got attention. Shortly after the break through happened with residencies at clubs "Unbekanntes Tier", "M1" and "Großer Bär", three institutions that had a definitive influence on the development of the Stuttgart club scene. Housecrack Sandro is amongst the first and most important DJs to popularize Housemusic in Stuttgart. He is able to deliver a set that always is passionate and inspirational and his popularity grew with countless guest performances at virtually every known and lesser-known club of the region. Likewise with organizing House events as well as the legendary "Taste Afterhour" together with former partners Denis the Menace and Alan Sommerville he enthused the public what resulted in his alias "housecrack" being awarded to him by the local club media. In 1996 he started to work at a local record store. The same year saw the launch of his own label "Midnight Groove Recordings" where he released to date 18 records that were made together with national and international producers. Since June 2005 he runs his own onlinestore specialized in Housemusic under the domain www.record-pilot.de & www.discogs.com/seller/Recordpilot where he delivers the stuff to Dee Jays and music lovers worldwide. Sandro is resident in the famous "Climax Institutes" since 1998. Stages of his work are: 1984 - 1988 Jugendhaus Ostend, Stuttgart 1992 - 1994 Flexibel, Stuttgart. 1994 - 1998 Großer Bär (Taste Afterhour), Stuttgart. 1995 - 1998 M1 The Club, Stuttgart. 1995 - 1996 Unbekanntes Tier, Stuttgart. 1998 - 2018 Climax Institutes, Stuttgart. |

| Search | Add | 3 | (((Pruttipal))) | Parl Kristian Bjørn Vester | (((Pruttipal))) is a current primary alias of Danish/Faroese experimental artist Parl Kristian Bjørn Vester, which he's been using since early 2017. Before that, Vester was mainly active as [a=Goodiepal]. One of the first mentions of Vester's new moniker was in January 2017, when he received Viggo Jarl's Sculpture Legacy grant of DKK 50,000 (around $6,500) from the Danish artistic association Den Frie Udstilling; the press release referred to the artist as "Goodiepal, who has now changed his name to (((pruttipal)))." In February 2017, (((Pruttipal))) started a podcast series Den Stille Bløde Vej ("The Quiet Soft Road") on Danish online radio The Lake, hosting a five-part interview with a renowned Danish rock journalist and photographer [a411268]. In April 2017, a Danish online magazine Passive/Aggressive published Goodiepal's cassette [r=12369831], which had one of the tracks titled "Embowel The (((Pruttipal)))" and featured Kristian Vester's photo with [a5140] captioned "Never forget Bjørn S. — he has meant a lot to me... says (((Pruttipal)))." In 2018, a Finnish label [l=Fonal Records] released [r=11857057] 3xLP with music from [a253437]'s eponymous documentary biopic, listing [l2538214] for © & ℗ copyright notices. In November 2019, (((Pruttipal)))'s first official release came out, a limited edition 7" lathe cut [r=23195333] from NYC-based [l102685], a "micro-label" subdivision of [l114907]. The single was named after Patchblocks, a now-defunct Northern Irish startup that was buiding programmable, open-source, stackable mini-synths between December 2013 and September 2018. The project launched with a successful and highly-publicized Kickstarter campaign, supported by prominent British artists, including [a369489], [a1373973], [a1998654], [a752836] from [a=DMX Krew], and [a1011016], and praised for developing their technology in a transparent, sustainable and community-driven manner. On his release, (((Pruttipal))) criticized modern Eurorack/modular synth manufacturers for financing anti-immigrant lobbies through their "hyper-capitalist" supply chains, thus using the revenues from artistic endeavours to oppress and induce suffering on thousands of refugees across the EU. In August 2020, (((Pruttipal))) returned to The Lake radio with a 3-hour long "DJ Audio $var #79" show that's available on all major podcasting platforms. As of July 2022, Pruttipal occasionally teaches composition at [l1747662]. |

| Search | Add | 3 | The Degrads | Creating a mishmash of five-minutes-ago punk, early 80's college-radio sounds, FM rock, and general goofiness, the Degrads foisted a batch of quirky, original, musically-accomplished-but-deliberately-silly songs upon the sleepy Rochester suburbs in the summer of 1982. From the whiny, lightweight punk of "Dopes!" and "I Should've Worn Shorts With Pockets" to the snotty party grooves of "Dancing in My Underwear" and "Get Down – Get Back Up Again!" to the sophomoric comedy of "I Don't Care if She Smells" and "Eat Roughage" to the bizarre musical theater of "Eggplants and Venison Stew" (which was performed live by hand-puppets) . . . well, the titles say it all, don't they? Among the tracks heard here are signature tune "What's My Problem?" and tongue-in-cheek ballads "Fun with a Porpoise" and "Nancy" (both sung by 15-year-old Spuzzy Dynamite). The Degrads returned in the summer of '83, by which time they had begun to take themselves more seriously as a "new music" band. That season brought them Rochester club outings (notably with the Chesterfield Kings), college radio airplay, and a local TV appearance (see pictures). Their self-released pop-punk single, "I Saw Bobbie Sobbing in the Lobby", earned them a review in Trouser Press before they disbanded. | |
