Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Ometra Ometra is a Lugano-based music project offering alternative rock -grunge. Influences include Radiohead, Alice in Chains, and the whole grunge scene with atmospheric overtones in the style of Anathema. In 2017, driven by the desire to start again from the basics, founder Carlo Gervasini (My Stupid Dream, Parole Perse, Doomed Timeline Theory and Beansidhe) starts writing his own songs in the form of 'one man band'. In the recording session he personally takes care of all instruments and vocal parts, accompanied only by the voices of Claudio Lucchini and Giulia Schertler. The first release "Ometra" is in 2019: it gets visibility and a place in the compilation "Confederation Music" managed by Marco Kohler (RSI) with the song "Ahead." This good debut will push the guitarist to believe he can compose better music, with a real band. Thus, in 2020 the writing of new, more dynamic and emotional pieces begins. In 2021, made by a group consisting of Elia Heutschi (drums), Paride Casu (bass), Giulia Schertler and Anastasia Gautschi (vocals), as well as Gervasini on guitars, "We used to look at the stars," recorded and mixed by Stefano Scenini at Stairway Studio in Cimo, sees the light. The work gets further visibility than the previous release and with the track "Crossroads from my Past" OMETRA deservedly returns to feature in the selection of "Confederation Music" . "We used to look at the stars" is an album that helped the project leader accept and embrace the pain, to move forward.... Made in the hope that it will also intercept the feelings of those who have experienced severe suffering during their journey. Choices, the new Album, has been released on April 20th

Search Add 3 Trainwreck Ghost Trainwreck Ghost aka Trainwreck Ghosts (in the early years) is the project of singer-songwriter, musician and producer Roger Prescott. They were based originally in Los Angeles and later in Austin,Texas. Original members included Eddie Munoz of The Plimsouls, Tim Henderson of The Pop, Robert Williams and Kent Houseman. Trainwreck Ghost played hundreds of shows in both cities as well as touring the USA. They have released three albums and one cassette of original material so far as Trainwreck Ghost. The band also performed acoustically as The Holy Boys, playing a mash-up of Appalachian, Cajun, and Country, often doing left-field covers of songs such as "Love Will Tear Us Apart by Joy Division and "A House Is Not A Motel" by Authur Lee & Love. The Holy Boys released one CD of live performances and studio recordings in 1998. A little more about Trainwreck Ghost: Originally based in Los Angeles and later in Austin Texas. Trainwreck Ghost played constantly in L.A. at Raji's, Club Lingerie, The Central, (now the Viper Room), Al's Bar, The Gaslight, The Anti-Club, Madame Wong's, The Music Machine, Club 88, The Coconut Teaser and many other venues up and down the West Coast. They recorded a number of early tracks at the famous Venice Beach studio Radio Tokyo and on a trusty Teac 4-track deck in a home garage studio dubbed "Piss Bucket" (for it's lack of bathroom facilities.) After moving to Austin they were regulars at The Continental Club, Liberty Lunch, The Hole in the Wall, and The Steamboat among others. They added the late-great bluesman Alex Napier (from early Stevie Ray Vaughn band, The Cobras, and Will and The Kill featuring Will Sexton) on bass guitar soon after the move to Austin. Trainwreck Ghosts recorded an EP, "The Phantom Tapes" and their 1st LP, "The Blood Won't Wash Out" with Aaron White at Austin's 6th Street Studios and rehearsed at the legendary hangout and rehearsal space ARC in South Austin. Members of various line-ups of Trainwreck Ghost were songwriter-guitarist Roger Prescott, guitarist Eddie Munoz (from The Plimsouls), drummer, percussionist & dobro player Robert Williams, bass players Tim Henderson, Jaime Carter and Alex Napier, and guitarist and sometimes bass player Kent Earl Housman.

Search Add 3 Echo7 Melodic hard rock quartet Echo 7 hails from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and consists of dual frontmen Ronnie O'Briant and Dave Sharrock (both handling vocals and guitar), Frank Roop (bass) and Jason Hearn (drums). Borrowing their name from Han Solo's code name in The Empire Strikes Back, the band formed in 1999 and toured consistently throughout the Eastern seaboard before recording their self-financed Trippin' on Destiny debut. The growing regional buzz surrounding the group's accessible brand of hard rock (reminiscent of Nickelback and Creed, among others) eventually led to a deal with In De Goot Recordings, which made Echo 7's next offering One Step Away the label's first release.

Her first recordings were jingles for 2WG, a Wagga Wagga radio station. This led to a prolific childhood career singing jingles for TV commercials, and television appearances. As a result of her success in Sing For Shelley's, a competition run by Sydney radio station 2SM, 15-year-old Jennifer Ryall was signed to Warner Brothers. Her recording of Everything's Alright was used nationally to promote Jesus Christ Superstar and was nominated for Best Female Vocal Single at the Australian Record Awards, in 1972. Colleen Hewitt won with Carry That Weight). She released her second and last single Summer Song in 1973. She then Ryall worked in newsrooms at Sydney radio stations 2WS and Triple M and sang in Sydney venues, solo and in groups, including a stint at Sydney's Comedy Store in the 1980s. She trained as a primary teacher in the late 70s, lived in London for a while, married, and raised two children. As a music teacher, she delivered a schools program for Musica Viva in the 90s. She is still (2020) living in Sydney. Her son is the jazz pianist, composer and arranger Matt Thomson.Full biography at link below.

Search Add 3 Unknown Mystery 60's Group "The songs released on the Distortions CD in 1997 were found on a reel to reel tape at an outdoor flea market in Philadelphia. Nothing was known about the group except for the song titles which were written on the tape box. In 2001 Octopus Records attempted to track down the identity of the band and eventually made contact with the band's drummer, living in Spain. A second and a third volumes (2007, on Birdhouse Records) of material were released but the band elected to remain anonymous." It seems that the "Unknown Mystery 60's Group" is in fact a clever modern artistic project from Philadelphia and made to appear to sound like it was recorded in the 60's.

The idea was to make some more progressive rock music than his former band, Gas Giant. He brought together Thomas the bass player form Gas Giant, Magnus (of the space rock band Mantric Muse), Icelandic drummer Helge and vocalist extraordinaire Mickael, who came from the Copenhagen singer-songwriter scene. The mixture proved to be a powerful mix of heavy rock with a progressive rock element mixed with formidable vocals. The album was recorded at the Black Tornado, Area22 and The Famous Putting shop studios in Copenhagen in 2009. It was mixed at the Elberlab Studio by David Elberling and Stefan Krey. All the music was written and arranged by Stefan Krey and the lyrics by Mickael Petersen. Search Add 3 Marilyn Puskarich Marilyn J. "Chee Chee" Puskarich Repasky Marilyn J. “Chee Chee” Puskarich Repasky was born in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania to Thomas and Mildred (Kirasic) Puskarich. She was raised on a farm in Plum Boro, Pennsylvania. The entire Puskarich family was deeply involved in tambura music. All six of the sisters learned to play tambura as children, and two of the sisters are currently in the TAA Hall of Fame. Marilyn was influenced by her sisters Caroline and Rose and followed them into the Duquesne Tamburitzans. Marilyn has used both her experiences as a “Tammie” and the Bachelor’s degree in Education she earned at Duquesne throughout her life. After graduation, Marilyn married John Repasky and this happy union led to three talented children, all lovers of tambura music. All three children – Jennifer, Michael, and Stephen – attended Duquesne University. Jennifer later used her “Tammie” experience to assist Marilyn in directing the Golden Triangle Junior Tamburitzans and son Stephen became a Junior Tamburitzan instructor. Marilyn has shared her love of playing tambura music and dancing kolos with students of all ages for over 30 years. She has directed, danced with and choreographed for innumerable performing groups in both Detroit and in several cities in Pennsylvania. In Detroit, she joined the Detroit Tamburitza Orchestra has both a player and a featured vocalist. In Pennsylvania, Marilyn has served as choreographer and vocal instructor for a series of junior groups, including the Trafford Junior Tamburitzans of Pittsburgh, Rankin Junior Tamburitzans, and Duquesne Junior Tamburitzans. Marilyn’s instruction has emphasized the importance of equipping students with the skills and knowledge they will need on stage and at social functions, but equally importantly, she has provided those under her guidance with a background and awareness of her culture and heritage. Marilyn also shares her talents and knowledge with more mature enthusiasts. For the last 20 years, Marilyn has been the instructor of Pittsburgh’s first adult kolo class. Marilyn is also an accomplished performer. Closest to her heart is her opportunity to sing with Orchestra Veseli. Performing and recording with Veseli has allowed Marilyn to sing with her sister Rose, and work with her brother-in-law Fred Husnick along with Ron Rendulic, all three TAA Hall of Fame members. Other credits include a recording with Orchestra Biseri (Orchestra Biseri featuring Marilyn Repasky), a recording with Orchestra Zabava, an Ensemble Festival recording consisting of Duquesne University Tamburitza alumni, performing with Zvonko Bogdan, Jerry Grcevich, George “Butchy” Kresovich, Chuck Cubelic, and Steve Wagner. Marilyn J. “Chee Chee” Repasky has spent a lifetime promoting, performing and pursuing knowledge of the instrumental and vocal music and dances of the tambura. She has sought only the highest quality in both her personal performance and the performances of those she directs. She has taken her own God-given talent and combined it with an amazing work ethic to create a unique, distinctive sound. She has introduced hundreds of players, singers and dancers to the world of tamburitza music and dance. Marilyn’s influence can be seen in those who are playing and dancing today because of her efforts. Perhaps the most significant are those not learning from Marilyn directly, but instead from her former students who are now directing their own groups of players, singers and dancers. There can be no greater legacy than to have children you taught grow up enjoying those lessons so much that they in turn pass on the knowledge to a new generation.

Search Add 3 Juan Pérez Rodriguez Juan Pérez Rodríguez was born in Huelva in 1984. He is a flamenco pianist and composer and son of the great singer [a8499540]. His personal concern has led him to take an interest in other music, having graduated in classical music in Spain and Paris; and in jazz at Berklee College of Music (Boston, USA), after receiving a "full schollarship" scholarship, becoming the rare exception of a flamenco musician with a career in classical piano and a great Berklee degree. He has known how to incorporate the knowledge acquired in these musical fields into his flamenco roots, having enriched his sound, and developing a personal language always within the flamenco channels. Pérez Rodríguez has lived in Paris (2008/09) and in the United States (2010/2016). Now since 2016 he resides in Madrid where he combines his work as a musician inside and outside the country with teaching. Meanwhile, despite his young age, the young Huelva-born musician has played in theaters and festivals around the world, including the Flamenco Festival in New York and Chicago (USA), Qatar National Theater of Doha (Doha, Qatar), Teatro Masrah al Madina (Beirut, Lebanon), Maestranza Theater (Seville), BPC Theater (Boston, USA), Roulette Theater of Brooklyn (New York USA) Festival del Cante de las Minas (La Unión, Murcia, Birzeit University (Birzeit, Palestine) ), Boston Performance Center (Boston, USA), Baruch Concert Hall (Haifa, Palestine / Israel), Asunción Jazz Festival (Asunción, Paraguay), Cantabria Jazz Festival (Spain) Regarding his training, it should be noted that he has studied classical piano, in Huelva, Seville, and at the Conservatoire De Boulogne Billancourt (Paris, France), Baroque Organ and early music with the organist Andrés Cea. He studies jazz in a self-taught way, and later at the prestigious Berklee College of Music (Boston, USA) graduating in jazz piano and composition with the qualification "Summa Cum Laude", the highest qualification granted by American universities. He has recordings, Fabulare (2010) and Mosaico (2016), and has collaborated on numerous albums by flamenco jazz artists and other genres including Jorge Pardo's latest album "Djinn" (MIN 2017 award for best flamenco album).
