Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Ādolfs Kaktiņš | Latvian opera singer (baritone) (born July 26, 1885 in Ērberģe, Latvia [then Russian Empire] — died July 25, 1965 In San Jose, CA, United States). Kaktiņš worked as an apprentice for several craftsmen and trained as an accountant before he began his stage career. In 1902, he had his theatrical debut in the theater of the abstinence society "Auseklis" in whose choir he and brother Robert were singing. Between 1908 and 1913, while playing increasingly more important dramatic roles at a variety of theaters, he took singing lessons. His first operatic role, in 1910, was the Prince in [a=Konradin Kreutzer]'s "Das Nachtlager in Granada". In 1912, he won a three-year contract with the Nuremberg State Theater, where he sang in Wagner's "Ring des Nibelungen," Verdi's "Troubadour" and others in the 1913-1914 season. The start of World War 1, however, forced him to return first to Riga, and then, when the front came closer, to flee to St. Petersburg. Between 1915 and 1918, he performed in various Russian cities in front of Latvian refugee audiences. Having returned to Riga in 1918, Kaktiņš began working at the Latvian Opera (from 1919, the Soviet Latvian Opera). He performed the title roles in Wagner's "Flying Dutchman", Verdi's "Rigoletto", Mozart's "Don Giovanni," Tchaikovsky's "Eugen Onegin" and many others, including operas by a series of Latvian composers. From 1925, intrigues forced Kaktiņš to go abroad for some time. During this time he performed at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo and at the Théâtre National de l'Opéra in Paris. In 1934, he acted the role of Maigas' father in the first Latvian sound feature film "Son of the People" (director H. Ballašs). During the German occupation from 1941-1944, Kaktiņš continued to sing at the Riga Opera and give numerous concerts elsewhere. In September 1944, he followed the retreating German armies to Germany. He spent the next years performing to Latvian refugee communities in Germany. In July 1949, he emigrated to the United States. There he continued to perform in concerts and at theatrical performances organized by Latvian emigrants in the U.S. and Canada. He made his living, however, by working for a number of companies before he finally turned to chicken farming. Starting around 1910, Kaktiņš recorded both operatic arias and Latvian folk songs for numerous labels.

Search | Add | 4 | Greencross | Daniel Gavilán | “Diversity is taste” Daniel Gavilán is a Venezuelan-born DJ and music producer, also known as 'Greencross'. Co-Founder of Different Is Different Records, and actually based in Barcelona, Spain. His DJ career started in 2002 when settled in Barcelona. A venture that went from organising one of the last series of illegal raves in Catalunya, to hosting nights at the city’s techno temples such as La Cova and Be Cool. As a DJ, Daniel is constantly playing in São Paulo and Brazil‘s main cities. Countries like Holland, Germany and Spain are always within his schedule for european tours, which already have spawned appearances in festivals such as Feier-Rhein in Düsseldorf, São Paulo’s great Virada Cultural, or the Underground Family Festival in Barcelona. “I’m lucky to have the chance to contribute to the scene at this time, when so many sub-styles are being brilliantly produced, letting me create very eclectic DJ sets, still within the boundaries of techno. To me, diversity is taste.” For two years in a row, Greencross has hosted showcases of his label, Different Is Different Records as official parties of Amsterdam Dance Event. Other performances worth mentioning are Florida 135 in Fraga, as well as ROW 14, La Macarena, La Cova, Be Cool, and Sala Apolo in Barcelona. As a producer, Greencross has already remixed techno legends such as Ken Ishii, Tom Hades, Ortin Cam, Stanny Franssen, Angel Alanis, Adam Jay, and Drumcomplex. His original productions has also been remixed by high profile techno producers like Johannes Heil, Angel Alanis, Morgan Tomas, Logotech, Abi Bah, Red Square and Adam Jay. Different Is Different Records is Daniel’s own label, but his productions can also be found at Primate Recordings, Primevil, NB Records, Home Audio Recordings, Slap Jaxx, Parallel 125 and many more. In autumn 2015 look for Greencross’ vinyl releases on Primevil Recordings with two references in collaboration with Miss Electric. |

The second set of recordings were recorded at a 5+ day marvelous musical marathon with many singers and guests staying at the home of Sandy and Caroline Paton, a remodeled barn in Sharon, Connecticut. Music was made together for a week or so and recorded. These were not exactly well-controlled recording situations. Microphones were set up, levels set and buttons were pushed before the engineer took up his pace in the chorus. There would often be experimenting with harmonies on a new song while scrubbing pots and pans during food breaks. Members reformed in somewhat smaller gatherings for further recordings: [a=Sharon Mountain Harmony]: [r=9316994] Twos On a Night Like This: A Christmas Legacy For All the Good People, A Golden Ring Reunion.

It started as a cover band of major hard rock and blues bands of all time, with some excursions in prog and jazz. The guys always focused on live shows in clubs, pubs, theaters and small festivals in North-Eastern Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and Austria. After one year, Concrete Jelly released their first self-produced album, “3”, a concept album based on the life of an old rock star. The 7th of February they have released their second album, titled "Getting Noticed" (Sliptrick Records - USA). They will be on tour across Europe in April, while working on their third album. In the end, Concrete Jellÿ are just a bunch of friends, who like to have fun and take nothing too seriously, but music.

Search | Add | 4 | Rasti TKAC | Rasti Tkáč | Born in Slovakia in 1978, Rasti Tkac begin learning classical piano and music theory at age 5. After 1989, when his country opened its borders to the cultural variety of the world, he discovered a passion for electronic music. From the sound of Depeche Mode to the darker paths of E.B.M, Rasti found his way to club music, with its fusion of groovy rhythms and emotional atmospheres and vocals. After high school, Rasti was desperate to express his own thoughts through the language of music. However, with a weak technical background, he could do little more than listen to other productions. Then, in 1998, a chance encounter led Rasti to cross paths with Tomas Haverlik, who led him down the path of computer-based production. Their experiments were the foundation for what would become the duo Tkac & Haverlik. 2001 was the breakthrough year for Tomas & Rasti, with the release of Tomas' Hannah with Rasti's remix on the B side. Their next productions -- Tyra, Synthia, and Noel -- were released by legendary progressive-house label Baroque Records, earning Tomas and Rasti the respect of the scene. A slew of remix work soon followed. Rasti is currently taking a break from the Tkac & Haverlik partnership to pursue solo projects while also playing DJ gigs throughout Europe. His 2007 release on Toes in the Sand, which will debut during WMC2007, will be yet another massive addition to an impressive resume. |

Search | Add | 4 | Self Torture | Hardcore/Death Metal band from Ankara, Turkey. Split-up in 2012. The Ankara/Turkey based Selftorture has been an island representing a bridge between the realms of hardcore and death-metal in their home country for 10 years now. Through determination and steady progress the band has managed to combine and blend their influences to suit their evolving musical direction within the two genres. Listeners are offered a thunderous sound resembling a whirling storm of aggression sweeping up and down the Eastern Coast of North America with the band’s unique elements bolting through. Their straight forward and sometimes poetic to sarcastic lyrics are aimed directly at the developing individual ready to question themselves and the surrounding others giving no voice to anything that falls under any ideology. To experience them live is an experience all its own, intensifying what they’ve already offered on record – neck breaking grinding speed to heavy low hitting breakdowns that flow back to back. As a result of their productiveness and solid performances through the years, Selftorture has earned and remained a very familiar name in Turkey’s deep extreme underground. The decision of putting together Selftorture was made in early ‘99 and by the end of year the band had enough songs to play small sets only as a project band, due to the fact that each member was already involved in other fulltime bands (ranging from thrash, hardcore, death-metal,and black-metal). However, once they played their first official show in 2000,the interest and positive feedback they received turned the band into afulltime band immediately. The band moved on to playing more club venues and festivals nationally [Rock The Nations Open Air Festival: Caliban, Cenotaph(TR), Amon Amarth, etc… / Rock Republic Open Air Fest: Slayer, In Flames, Sick Of It All,etc...] and record three releases: “Mislead” EP/2002 (Zoo Sound); “Person-A”FL/2004 (Zoo Sound); “Dead Center” FL/2006 (Anger Epidemic). 2006 was a major turning point for the group. The rhythm section parted ways leaving front man Mehmet and guitarist Cenker the responsibility to refocus and continue the band that was now their center of attention. They wrote new material while in search for new members and a record label. Early in this process close friend Semih Ornek stepped up to fill the drummer position full time. The trio started practicing and fine tuning the songs. After observing their progress at a jam session the representatives of the label Anger Epidemic Records approached the band with an offer. The band was honored by Anger’s close interest and agreed to cooperate almost immediately. Once the tracks of the 3rd legal release were finished the band approached long time friend and supporter Engin Kamarot to complete the lineup. Since then, Selftorture has continued to play shows and complete their 4th effort entitled “Tried and True”. They have not come to an agreement with a new label yet so no release has not been confirmed. The band plans to keep playing local and national shows with the intention of making some tours abroad a reality..... Recent Line Up: Mehmet Stevenson: Vocals Cenker Yılmaz: Guitars Engin Kamarot: Bass Semih Örnek: Drums

Search | Add | 4 | Tűzkerék | Tűzkerék (in English: Wheel of Fire) was a Hungarian rock band. It was founded by Radics Béla on January 12, 1970. In Hungary, Tűzkerék played [a=Led Zeppelin] songs for the first time. The ensemble was made up of excellent musicians, but cultural politics of their time always considered them too suburban, and their records could not be released. They disbanded in late 1971. Around 1975, Radics revived the orchestra, playing in various line-ups, from 1977 to 1978 his companions were [a=Döme Dezső] and [a=Póka Egon], and in 1978 a TV recording was made with this line-up (3 songs were performed in [a=Déri János]'s Youth Hour). The line-up changed from 1979: [a=Soldos László], Szabó "Richie" György and [a=Kun Tamás] joined the ensemble. With this line-up, record designs were made, the material that would have been recorded was put together, there was also a cover design, but the making of the record failed. Around 1981, Radics teamed up with members of the Arena band and continued to perform with them as the Tűzkerék until his death in 1982.
