Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Johnny Denis | Denis Ernest Wheeler | “Sheriff” Johnny Denis, novelty and country music performer was born on 27 February 1913 in Willesden, London, England. He emigrated to America and died on 5 January 2010, aged 96, in Palatka, Putnam County, Florida, USA. He was active in Britain during the 1940s and early 1950s. He moved to the United States in 1955 and shortly afterwards he was based in Las Vegas. Denis was English and became a semi-professional musician in the mid-1930s, accomplished on guitar and steel as well as being a whistler (some of his recordings here suggest a new genre, Whistling Western Swing). He adopted a fully ‘cowboy’ image in the 1950s through his BBC series Way Out West, and he owned several horses, which he incorporated into his act. Denis moved to the US in 1954, achieving some popularity, especially in Vegas and Reno, and issuing three LPs. A CD was compiled, mainly focusing on his 1940s recordings, mostly in the small-band western swing style. It includes versions of Sweet Georgia Brown and Sweet Sue, featuring Danny Levan’s fiddling and Canadian/British bass player Jack Fallon. Liner notes were written by Kevin Coffee, who managed to track Denis down, long resident in the US and well into his 90s. Denis was survived by his wife, Emily Wheeler (neé Hartnett). |

Search | Add | 4 | Seomoon Tak | Lee Su-jin | Seomoon Tak, a female South Korean rock singer with a powerful voice and a wide vocal range, is an alumna of Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, and majored in Music Production and Engineering. She debuted in 1999 and sold her first album over 300,000 copies and her second album over 300,000 copies. After she debuted in Korea, she regularly had more than 1,000 live performances per year, and radio and TV shows appearances. She released 6 studio albums (Korean), 2 studio albums (Japanese), and 2 single albums, and recorded multiple movie and television soundtracks. Marty Friedman, the guitarist of Megadeath, also featured her second Japanese album. Besides her recordings, she was casted as Yitzhak, the musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Acid Queen, and the musical The Who's Tommy in both Korea and Japan for many years. She is the first and only Asian Berklee student who was selected to perform for both "Singer's Night" and "Singer's Showcase" in front of over a thousand audiences at Berklee Performance Center for multiple times. In 2012, she appeared a Korean TV show, I Am a Singer 2, where selected veteran Korean singers by advisory panels perform and compete each other. This sensational concept raised the Korean music scene to a higher level, and let the audiences truly focus on authenticity and quality of the music and the vocalist. Chinese broadcasting company adapted this show, which made a huge success in China. Seomoon Tak survived for five months and she made the final round of the entire season of the show. As she released her second single in summer 2013, she started a project band, Seomoon Tak Band. This January, Seomoon Tak Band successfully had their solo concert in South Korea. |

Search | Add | 4 | Josephine Wedekind | Josephine Wedekind | Downtempo / Psychedelic & Experimental Sound Djane aka "Ayjo" based in Berlin, Germany Josephine Wedekind began DJing with vinyl early in life & can't imagine an existence without the positive vibes & moments of ecstasy & excitement created on the dance floor by her organic psychedelic sound. In 2012 she became a member of the Schiffbruch event crew whose ethos is great music and harmonic energy. Josephine soon became a regular on Berlin’s club and underground scene, frequently playing her trippy style of music at some of the most influential locations including Mensch Meier, Rummels Bucht & Sisyphos. In 2016, Yuli Fershtat aka Perfect Stranger and Gabi 2B invited her to be part of the Digital Structures team as a label DJ. After 10 years spinning as Josephine Wedekind she started Ayjo as a platform to express a more downtempo, psychedelic & experimental sound. She conceives that ‘Music is without borders, unlimited by genre, it’s simply a representation of taste’. To get more insight just listen to the compilation she created for Digital Structures. Search | Add | 4 | Fanny Reed Hammond | Fanny Bliss Reed (1875-1969) was a musician, curator, and benefactress of the arts, for whom the Pine Manor College Fanny Reed Hammond Collection of Keyboard Instruments was named. The daughter of Rev. Dr. Edward Allen Reed and Mary Bliss Reed, Mrs. Hammond was for most of her life a resident of Holyoke, Massachusetts. She married William Churchill Hammond, noted organist, at the Second Congregational Church of Holyoke where he was music director (today the United Congregational Church) on June 28, 1898 and they had two sons, William Churchill Hammond, Jr. and Lansing Van der Heyden Hammond. In the 1920s she appears to have arranged sheet music for the violin and piano, published under C. W. Thompson & Co. of Boston. She was curator of the Skinner Musical Collection for many decades, appearing to likely have taken up the mantle as the main curator at Wistariahurst after the death of Nils J. Ericsson, a contemporary of Arnold Dolmetsch, after his death on February 17, 1933. This coincided with the same year the catalog of that collection was first released under the commission of William Skinner (II). Mrs. Hammond would remain with the Wistariahurst collection as curator up through its donation to Yale in 1960, and recorded at least 2 records of her narration and explanation of its instruments.

With a purposeful grimace, heavy beats were thrown down between the guitars, vocals, and flute. Search | Add | 4 | One Cent Left | After [a=99¢ Special] came to an end, [a=Exit (22)] began writing new music which was opposite of his previous writing in the industrial genre. Instead of programming music, he went analog and hands on with any instrument he could acquire. The resulting works have been building up in various states of completion, and span a period from about 2004 to current. With no genre targets, the music produced for One Cent Left varies greatly in style. At present, there are at least 3 albums worth of songs awaiting being completed, and new songs being written for a 4th album. Given that it's been over 15 years since writing and recording began, a collection of demos have been released simply to establish the works without further delay. "[r=13209054]" was released on February 11th, 2019 as an introduction to One Cent Left, showcasing the newest to oldest completed demos.

Search | Add | 4 | psAux | Sebastian I. Hartmann | Starting in the mid 1990s as "aGe2.1" with a musty, darker industrial-ish style and a rather minimalist sound setup, Sebastian I. Hartmann eventually began leaning towards turn of the millenium-techno in the early 2000s. The departure from the cold atmosphere of the city of Hamburg in 2009 was inevitably to be artistically reflected. After leaving northern germany, now in his newly adopted homeland of bavaria, he re-invented himself as PSAUX. Conflating old and new experimental threads, adding a pinch of acid house and a sprinkle of the good old Industrial-EBM. After a decade on his way, PSAUX has his coming out as a trippy mixture of minimalist styles in a deep mindset. |
