Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Los Tiernos | Los Tiernos | Los Tiernos were a venezuelan prefabricated boy band created by the Portuguese-Venezuelan producer Nino Acosta, who featured the solo voice of Hugo Aguilar, who later in the 90s became a salsa singer and recorded some albums of that genre under the Sonografica label. The only time they made their appearance as a boy band was doing playback during a performance on the defunct RCTV program "Fantático" singing the Spanish version of "Tarzan Boy" in 1985. After that nothing more was heard from them. Los Tiernos are also known as The Softers, because that is how it was printed in the Colombian edition of the single "Tarzan Boy". Acosta was later the one who discovered and produced the first singles for Jesús Enrique Montero "Divine" and Devorah Sasha, the latter including her first 1988 solo LP "Todo Mi Amor Es Para Ti". |

Search | Add | 3 | Ska Maria Pastora | Ska Maria Pastora | The band Ska Maria Pastora from Recife in state of Pernambuco/Brazil is another great example of Afro Diaspora in the Americas. For sure a very special one since the inspiration for their music come from another Afro Diaspora with a not less grand history in the world music as their home country itself. We are talking about Ska the rhythm that originated in Jamaica in the late 1950s and was the precursor of rocksteady and reggae. To mention a legendary band representing this music and active nowadays in different constellation of musicians, The Skatalites, a reference in Ska Maria Pastora’s work. Here we are with a dose of Afro Diaspora with an amazing connection, Brazil and Jamaica. These are separated just geographically, however deeply united through their African ancestry. Despite being under two criminal colonial methods, the Portuguese and the British, in both cases people’s resistance gave birth to musical rhythms that have conquered the world with a method less criminal than the one used by their colonizers. Politics and history are important, but let us concentrate on what these guys do best, MUSIC! Ska is a very well-known music genre, although not that much in Brazil, where people are normally busy with their own genres. In Recife you have Coco, Maracatu, Forró and many others. Ska Maria Pastora’s main influence is Frevo, a dance and musical style originated from Recife and which rhythm is similar to Ska. The band does a superb job in merging and integrating these two hot styles. Its interpretation of Jamaican Ska with the addition of north-Brazilian influences lets us enjoy something that everyone knows but with a lot of elements that only people in that region of Brazil know. For those in the world who are not familiar with the way how Brazilian musical junction works, be prepared! Ska Maria Pastora shows what it is to rediscover and revisit Ska music through a passion, energy and inspiration that uses the harmonies of Frevo in order to poison Jamaican music. The result is an effervescent dance music, typically neither refined nor popular, universal but with identity. Formed in 2008, Ska Maria Pastora is an instrumental music project of musicians who have in common a taste for Ska, Reggae and, of course, Frevo. Taking advantage of the similarity between these styles, the band made Olinda’s main rhythm Frevo the melodic basis for their Ska compositions. Ska Maria Pastora has been influenced by Capiba, Nelson Ferreira, Spok Frevo Orchestra, Rotterdam Ska Jazz Foundation, Don Drummond and The Skatalites, the main exponent of ska, who mixed European music with the Caribbean. |

Taking inspiration from the 80's heavy glam and the wildest 70's punk, the band released a self-produced demo-cd "...Still Waiting For The Extinction" in 2005, and a single MCD, under Jetglow Recordings, "Lullaby For Annihilation" in 2008, gaining great consideration from public, press and specialists throughout Europe, playing in the Italian peninsula even supporting some of their most loved bands ever. The first full-length album "Tales For A Sweet Demise" was released by Jetglow Recordings in 2010. Now the band is working hard on new songs for their second album that will be released in early 2014.

Search | Add | 3 | Trainwreck Ghost | Trainwreck Ghost aka Trainwreck Ghosts (in the early years) is the project of singer-songwriter, musician and producer Roger Prescott. They were based originally in Los Angeles and later in Austin,Texas. Original members included Eddie Munoz of The Plimsouls, Tim Henderson of The Pop, Robert Williams and Kent Houseman. Trainwreck Ghost played hundreds of shows in both cities as well as touring the USA. They have released three albums and one cassette of original material so far as Trainwreck Ghost. The band also performed acoustically as The Holy Boys, playing a mash-up of Appalachian, Cajun, and Country, often doing left-field covers of songs such as "Love Will Tear Us Apart by Joy Division and "A House Is Not A Motel" by Authur Lee & Love. The Holy Boys released one CD of live performances and studio recordings in 1998. A little more about Trainwreck Ghost: Originally based in Los Angeles and later in Austin Texas. Trainwreck Ghost played constantly in L.A. at Raji's, Club Lingerie, The Central, (now the Viper Room), Al's Bar, The Gaslight, The Anti-Club, Madame Wong's, The Music Machine, Club 88, The Coconut Teaser and many other venues up and down the West Coast. They recorded a number of early tracks at the famous Venice Beach studio Radio Tokyo and on a trusty Teac 4-track deck in a home garage studio dubbed "Piss Bucket" (for it's lack of bathroom facilities.) After moving to Austin they were regulars at The Continental Club, Liberty Lunch, The Hole in the Wall, and The Steamboat among others. They added the late-great bluesman Alex Napier (from early Stevie Ray Vaughn band, The Cobras, and Will and The Kill featuring Will Sexton) on bass guitar soon after the move to Austin. Trainwreck Ghosts recorded an EP, "The Phantom Tapes" and their 1st LP, "The Blood Won't Wash Out" with Aaron White at Austin's 6th Street Studios and rehearsed at the legendary hangout and rehearsal space ARC in South Austin. Members of various line-ups of Trainwreck Ghost were songwriter-guitarist Roger Prescott, guitarist Eddie Munoz (from The Plimsouls), drummer, percussionist & dobro player Robert Williams, bass players Tim Henderson, Jaime Carter and Alex Napier, and guitarist and sometimes bass player Kent Earl Housman.

Search | Add | 3 | Let The Guilty Hang | Let The Guilty Hang is a modern heavy metal band that was formed in 2005 in the deep dark hills of West Virginia. Initially the band was supposed to be a side project, but they quickly realized their potential and jam sessions turned into a full-fledged band. Daniel Johnson (formerly of Guinness Clarke’s Wine) and Matt “Beevare” Jeffrey (formerly of Lifter) formed the band. The band quickly captured the attention of Derek Maynard who joined the band almost immediately adding his electrifying abrasive vocal tone to the bands already talented roster. The band then sought after a second guitarist in an effort to create Iron Maiden like guitar styling. Joe Baer (formerly of Born For Eternity) was the man for the job. The band was then rounded out with Adam Adkins (formerly of Born For Eternity) he brought not only bass playing to the table, but his voice also, supplying the contrasting clean vocals and backup vocals throughout what has become the bands signature sound. In September of 2007, Let The Guilt Hang released their debut album ‘The Unspeakable’. Opening for bands like Byzantine, As I Lay Dying, The Haunted, All That Remains, Trivium, and August Burns Red the band had quickly made a name for themselves around the region. The band has just recently released their latest album ‘In Tongues’ which was recorded at Domicile Studio in Cross Lanes, WV and was produced by Eric Hayne (The Corinthian, Isla Sorna, Profligation). - Fist, Metal Nexus. The band had split with rhythm guitarist Joe Baer some time after "The Unspeakable" was released and was replaced by Aaron Casey who is credited for certain work on not only "The Unspeakable," but also "In Tongues." He played with the band for an extended amount of time between the two albums playing live as well as writing music, but exited the band before most of the writing was completed for "In Tongues." Tyler Lowe then took the rhythm guitar position and is credited for most rhythm guitar sections on the new album, but shortly after In Tongues was released Tyler had also left the band after just a small stint of live shows. Cody Frye was next to step up to the position who is the band's current rhythm guitarist completing the current lineup of the band. The band has yet to release new material under the current lineup.

Search | Add | 3 | Reversio | What could the Lithuanian birbynė / reed-pipe (an original Lithuanian woodwind instrument) and Renaissance and Baroque music of Western Europe have in common? The answer lies in this specially composed chamber music ensemble Reversio (founded by Darius Klišys in 2004) which features birbynė players accompanied by organ/harpsichord and viola da gamba. The idea behind the ensemble - to play early European music using authentic Lithuanian instruments - became their mark of originality: the expressive and contrasting sounds of the birbynė are surprisingly similar to early wind instruments such as the cornett, recorder, oboe, and chalumeau. Performing the early music, the birbynė reveals nuances and colours unheard, highlights the flexibility of compositions, and offers a new look at the early music as well as other musical genres, be it classical or contemporary. Musicians of the Reversio ensemble change according to the programmes, from three to seven musicians playing together. The main repertoire of the ensembles covers those written in the 16th and 17th centuries in Lithuanian and Polish territories. There is also a strong focus on early Italian Baroque.

The classic early lineup was completed by [a=J. Edward Nuttall], the first in a string of bass players. When drummer Palmer left in 1991, then-bassist [a=Andrew Clare] took on the additional task of writing drum programmes for the band. With second guitarist [a=Mike Shreeve] on board for the last phase of their career, Nitro Puppy achieved a punchier, more accomplished sound, arguably at the expense of their early erratic charm. The band split sometime in the early 1990s.
