Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Continuously experimenting in various media including acoustic films, videos, happenings, and collages, canecapovolto investigates the expressive potential of vision and the dynamics of perception, adopting original techniques for treating and manipulating images. Starting from film, from visual and sound experiments initially tied to super-8 shorts, the group draws on various audio-video production techniques, ‘sabotaging' the initial media image to catch viewers off-guard. A great deal of attention is paid to investigating the scientific communication model and its response in the viewer.

Search | Add | 13 | Loukass | Lou-Kass | In the mid-1980s, the Fox band, made up of the brothers Martín Joffré (bass), Juan Pablo Joffré (guitar), Rodrigo "Grillo" Villegas (guitar) and Rodolfo Ortiz (drums) performed versions of songs by Metallica and other bands. . This group had a moderate reception from the Bolivian public and was later dissolved. After the dissolution of Fox, the members of the band independently belonged to some bands from La Paz such as Chuy & Fly and Drago Drogan, among others, while Rodrigo Villegas became one of the animators of the improvised sessions at the pub "El Socavón", where he was reunited with his former Fox teammates and met vocalist Christian Krauss. Between the two of them, they decided to try their luck and form a new band. That was how Lou Kass was born. The owner of "El socavón" baptized the group "Lucas", a name that was later changed to Lou Kass. In 1992 they released their first album Lou Kass, which was followed by Akasa (1994), which includes songs like "No Reces al Sol" and "Feel High". In full success of the band, the vocalist Christian Krauss decided to travel to Germany without giving further explanations, forcing the rest of the group to continue with the presentations as a trio but without diminishing the receptivity of the band. Finally, during the concert in La Paz on the "Tour SIDA" tour, Loukass recorded his live album entitled Akasa ¡En vivo! and later separated. |

Started writing in his spare time - also about astronomy and photography - first for Radio Bulletin for which Jhr. Roëll also had him tied up and later for Luister. Many thought he was the editor-in-chief of that magazine. After 25 years he thanked for the honor because of continuous intervention in his articles. I was particularly interested in research on speakers and pu elements. As the only reviewer spoke excellent Japanese, but is there - also the only one! - never been. Search | Add | 13 | Matt Pleztrom | Matt Pleztrom is a Paris-based electronic musician. He is influenced by many kinds of music. His most recent creations are deeply inspired by artists like Autechre, Prodigy, Herbie Hancock, Amon Tobin, Richard Devine, and many others… His music is an immersion into unbounded soundscapes, inner struggles between scary and soft emotions, between noisy, broken ideas and tender fragility. He works regularly for corporate and experimental projects. The story has begun in 1991, with an old Atari STE, and the software Protracker. Step by step, matt has built a special sound universe, combining harmonies, dark atmospheres, and noises. Now, he uses Studio One, with a lot of virtual synths, plugins, little machines, samples, own recordings and featurings.

Search | Add | 13 | John Gillespie Magee, Jr. | John Gillespie Magee, Jr. (9 June 1922 – 11 December 1941) was an Anglo-American aviator and poet On September 3rd, 1941, John Magee was flying a training mission over the English Channel. It was a bright, sunny day with the sky a perfect shade of blue, and he was truly inspired by the absolute majesty and splendor of the moment. On landing, he wrote his now famous sonnet on the back of a letter which he had earlier written his parents. Three days later, on another bright and sunny day, John Gillespie Magee, Jr. was killed when the Spitfire he was flying collided with another aircraft in mid-air. Several days later, his parents received the letter he had written, and on the back was his poem, "High Flight". It is now a permanent entry in the British Flying Training Manual and the freshman handbook, Contrails, at the United States Air Force Academy.

Search | Add | 13 | James Sammon | James William Sammon | James Sammon's career began in his late teens as a pirate radio DJ on Dream FM in Leeds, England. From there he went into club djing through contacts made at the radio stations where he had worked. By 1991 James had begun to press his own vinyl after being inspired by certain records heard whilst managing a record shop. At that time, the sound in the North of England was the Italo Piano sound. This was the sound James stuck with from the early 90s when he released "Whitney Tune" in 1992 through to the release of “Blurred" in 1996. “Blurred” got James his first UK top ten chart hit as Pianoman. Other aliases he has used are Bass Boyz, Piano City Productions, DJ Friendly and Technical steps. After the worldwide success of “Blurred” (which sold 380, 000 copies), problems at the record label James was signed to (London / FFRR) prompted him to start his own labels and publishing company to look after his own material. James currently owns two record labels, [l=Solo Vinyl] and [l=Salford Central Records], along with a publishing company, Blurred Music Publishing. Since 2004 James has concentrated on the genre of house music once again, particularly electro and funky styles. He also writes original songs for his own productions at the hd1 recording studio based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. |

Search | Add | 13 | Елена Калугина | Елена Владимировна Калугина | Founder of [a1747145], chorusmaster Elena Kalugina (January 21, 1902 - 1962) - founder of the Omsk Russian Folk Choir, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, graduate of the Omsk Music College, researcher of the song traditions of the Siberian region, promoter of folk culture. A subtle musician, a multi-talented personality, she will forever remain in history as the founder of a unique professional Russian song group. Elena Kalugina devoted 40 of her 60 years to the development of the musical culture of the region. Here her rare musical talent and organizational skills were revealed. Elena Kalugina graduated with honors from the Omsk Music College in vocal class and three courses at the Correspondence Institute of Musician Teachers at the Moscow Conservatory. She trained as a choir conductor, but the war prevented her from completing her studies. In Omsk, she worked as a singer on the radio, as an accompanist in a choreographic group, led vocal clubs, and was the organizer of several choral groups. She devoted all her teaching talent to the professional training of vocalists and choirmasters, working at the Omsk Music School. Elena Kalugina trained a galaxy of gifted musicians. Almost all honored artists of Russia - singers of the Omsk Folk Choir - are students of Elena Vladimirovna. But the main work of Elena Kalugina’s life, with which she glorified herself and the Omsk region, was the creation of the State Omsk Russian Folk Choir. Having never been involved in folklore before 1950, Elena Vladimirovna managed to make a lot of recordings of Siberian folk songs within a few months and began processing them for the choir. During her trips around her native land, she collected many original songs and dance tunes. Kalugina’s invaluable merit was that in forming the repertoire of the Omsk choir, she did not follow the path of imitation of already known groups, but took as a basis truly Siberian folk art, preserving the original style of song and dance. The name of Kalugina is associated with the emergence of the very concept of “Siberian folk song”. Some researchers denied the presence of an original choral singing culture in Siberia. Through enormous research and collecting activities, Elena Vladimirovna was able to refute such speculation. She was also the first to use a truly innovative technique - a choral performance of a Russian song without a conductor, and this manner was picked up not only in the country, but throughout the world. Over the 10 years of Elena Kalugina’s work in the Omsk choir, the collective has taken a special place among other Russian folk choirs, worthily representing the creativity of our region around the world. Just three years after the creation of the team, its first victory happened - at the World Festival in Bucharest. The Omsk choir won 1st prize and a gold medal, beating 32 competitors from around the world. This victory became the most striking milestone in Elena Kalugina’s creative activity; it opened the international touring life of the choir. |

Search | Add | 13 | Cor Sanders | Patrick Franz | Already in his early childhood Patrick came in contact with electronic music. Fascinated by all areas of house & trance he lived only for this music. But from time to time, his music became harder and harder … Driven by the hard, driving beats he began in 2000 to put his hands on mixing. First it started with the mixing on a laptop, where he quickly made a name for itself in its environment. The level of awareness has led to numerous gigs at private parties, birthdays and some sporting events. This however was not enough to him, because the music always continued to develop, so his interests changed. Then he discovered Hardstyle & Jumpstyle for himself, his passion… The project “DJ Drukktechnik” was born. Hard beats, Rhythmic, harmonic melodies and some vocals, that was exactly what he needed. Soon, some friends and he founded one of the many “Jumpstyle crews”, which consisted of many of his friends and acquaintances. Here it was laying near that he was a disc jockey for that team. After a few weeks, there were the first gigs in several clubs in Leipzig. After buying real equipment (turntables, korgpad and so on, he improved his skills. Numerous gigs followed thereupon. He played for example with Bangbros, DJ Sacrifice, Jump Ahead, Patrick Jumpen, Nick D-Lite and so on … In 2010, he applied himself again to the trance and started producing. The project “Cor Sanders” was established and deals with the directions Trance, HandsUp, Electro and House. The movement in the scene also influenced him to expand his producing repertoire to Tech- and Deep-House. But to not forget his roots in the harder scene, he also has an Electro House project, called “Rough Stuff”. |
