Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Stewart Eastham | Stewart Eastham takes his music in bold new directions with his third full length solo album The Great Silence. His first solo album (The Man I Once Was) painted a portrait of a man in turmoil and his second (Dancers In The Mansion) took on a more celebratory tone. His new release The Great Silence takes on the metaphysical realm exploring grand themes of life, death, and rebirth. While it’s not technically a “concept” album, it feels like one with its repeating themes and motifs. The album opens with instrumental track “The Renaissance” showing us right away Eastham is ready to break through the restrictions of the Americana genre where his previous work resided. Synths play a prominent part on that track and the album as a whole. Rather than keep his songwriting and film score composing separate, Eastham made the conscious decision to blend the two for this album creating a cinematic backdrop for his esoteric, yet relatable tales. Using both analog and digital synths, Eastham created rich sonic soundscapes that weave through most of the songs. Title track “The Great Silence” features a biting lead analog synth evocative of the classic Moog sound. That song has a 9+ minute instrumental coda that closes out the album with a “John Carpenter meets Run The Jewels” vibe. In the somber “Do You Dream”, Eastham’s stark voice and acoustic guitar are wrapped in warm synth sounds highlighting a bass tone that gets deeper and deeper with each successive, heartbreaking verse. While Eastham has expanded his sonic palette, the rich storytelling of his lyrics remain intact. The first single “40 Days” has a synthy rock n roll vibe and contains dark and surreal lyrics showcasing metaphysical elements found throughout the entire album. According to Eastham: “‘40 Days’ was one of the earliest songs I wrote on the album and, because of that, it helped define the overarching death/rebirth theme of the entire record. Through the main character’s exotic journey into the heart of darkness I was able to address some of my own fears regarding death and madness. During the recording process, this is the first song I put synths on. I really fell in love with that sound which also went on to help define the whole album.” Songs “One More” and the anthemic “Take My Land” have a classic rock vibe with nods to the past but arrangements that reside firmly in the present. And lest you think Eastham has left the country genre behind, he brings his vocal chops to the country tune “Curtain Call” bringing to mind recent work by Chris Stapleton. “Flowers To My Gravestone” somehow manages to mix disco and bluegrass in Eastham’s humorous tale of man stuck between this world and the next. “The Executioner’s Lament” is reminiscent of Eastham’s work with Day Of The Outlaw that veered more towards hard rock. The surreal yet poignant lyrics match the visceral power of the music. The spooky “Lake’s Edge” is evocative of a classic horror film with its mysterious tale of a man assessing his life while visiting his hometown. While big drums have always been a trademark of Eastham’s sound, his hip-hop influences shine through even more on this record. This is most evident on the searing “Beyond The Oaks” where Eastham sings over booming 808 drums. He explains, “I really wanted to throw out the rulebook for this album.” That adventurous spirit is also evident in the rocker “Life Of Crime” that features a synth solo with a distinctly Eastern European vibe. This album marks Eastham’s second outing co-producing his own material alongside Burke Ericson. Eastham now works out of his own studio and through his film score work has moved more comfortably into the producer role. As he put it, “I really had a lot of fun collaborating with Burke on the album’s production. Burke is in LA and I’m in Nashville so we were constantly sending ideas and sounds back and forth. I think this album was our truest collaboration in terms of really dialing in a specific and unique sound for this record.” The bulk of the album was recorded at ER Studio in Nashville, TN. Though there are synth sounds throughout, Eastham and Ericson wanted the album to have a live rock n roll feel at its core. Thus all four band members recorded together in the same room so each song had a vibe unique to that moment. The album features returning champions Allen Jones on drums and Jeff Rogers on lead guitar. Christopher Griffiths joined the team on bass guitar. All four of them have played live shows together, so there was already a strong musical bond in place before they set foot in the studio. This time around Eastham and Ericson played most of the extra instrumentation themselves rather than reaching out to their friends as they did on Eastham’s previous albums. They did bring back the outrageously talented David Yuter on piano/organ and Jennifer Gibbons returned laying down beautiful backing vocals throughout the record. The album was once again mixed and mastered by the maestro Rich Mouser. Eastham was born and raised in the foothills of rural Northern California. He grew up on the sounds of classic and outlaw country, supplemented with a love of rock ’n’ roll—starting with his parents’ beat-up Elvis and Beatles records on up through the glossy pop of hair metal. Eastham is also a long time hip-hop fan, with a strong appreciation for the classics as well as modern sounds. A lot of his youth was spent consuming horror films which were also a big influence on this album. While attending UC Davis, Eastham played drums in various bands. After graduating with a degree in Computer Engineering, he switched gears and moved to Los Angeles to attend film school and study acting. He fronted the band Day Of The Outlaw for two albums before embarking on a solo career after moving to Nashville from Los Angeles in the fall of 2010. He immediately fell in love with the city. According to Eastham, “You just can’t help but be creative in this town”. While continuing with his lyric based songwriting, Eastham has also moved further into the world of film scoring. In 2020 he scored feature length horror film “Human No More”. The soundtrack album is due to arrive on vinyl mid-2021. | |

BenKane inspired by a lot of great entertainers and producers like Claptone, David Penn, Angelo Ferreri and Idris Elba is ready to go to the next level step by step. For now, mostly Budapest based, where he played almost in every festival and participated shows in many underground places. The half African and half Hungarian househead is one of the most recognizable djs in the country, always in shirts but in the most colorful way that you can imagine and even when you close your eyes, you will know that he is playing because of his selection of funky, deep and groovy music. The letter can be heard in the songs that he releases. A lot of tracks are in the making now, which are waiting to be heard and they will be as well funky, deep, groovy or all of the above. He is aiming big and he don’t want to copy anyone. He will try to bring his new style to the widest array of people as soon as possible. As for what’s next for the Hungarian producer, remains to be seen, but you can be sure that you will be hearing his name sooner than you’ll except. |

| Search | Add | 3 | FLIP 22 | Taunton, MA Rap Metal Band. In February of 1999 sounds from the 22nd cypher began to emerge from five experienced musicians who are currently redefining the combination of rock and hip-hop. A tribe was formed and its members include: J-Maze, Matty, Shane V., D.C. and Ross One. Former Eastcide bass player, Shane V., sought out hip-hop recording artist and former Head Check vocalist J-Maze. It was evident that his lyrical skills and melodic flow stylings would shine behind the individual musical talents of Shane, as well as former Head Check members, Matty, D.C., and Ross One. Through non-stop practice and dedication, the newly formed band found themselves writing and recording a three song promotional CD in a remarkable three weeks. When the disc was released it successfully joined the local rock and hip-hop scene. In addition to the positive reaction from Flip 22's growing fan base, all five hundred copies were sold in less time than it took to record it. As the band relentlessly pushed forward they caught the attention of several local radio programs. Flip earned the opportunity to perform for 107.3 WAAF's Real Rock T.V. Shortly after, Flip 22 released the highly anticipated full-length album Anotha Level, out on Linoleum Records. The album "delivers a dynamic and aggressive 10-track trip on a debut that defies categorization and piques interest at every turn," (Boston Herald, Nov 2, 2001 pg s22). Now that Anotha Level has been released and is on its way up, Flip 22 will head back to the studio in late December to begin work on their follow-up album, Northern Lights. The band is currently tearing up all of New England and receiving exceptional reviews from an extremely diversified audience. | |

Buerhaus plays her self built wood organ, half sculpture, half hallucinatory drone machine. Actress, label head, and artist, she approaches music and performance hermeneutically. Shirashi was a central figure in the Club Minor scene in Japan, jammed in Taco and A-Musik, helped form Fushitsusha, and has released numerous works of site specific saxophone playing. His style is some of the most atom splitting minimalism to ever locate your body in space. Thus, the sound of 大凶風呂敷 is a tense drama whose nerve chilling lines literally encodes the space for terrifying truths to appear all around you. Past players include K-Mical-Mico, Keith Connolly, Tara Fenamore, Greem Jellyfish, SADAF, Gozo Yoshimasu, Michiru Inoue. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Damarge | Damarge existed as a functioning unit between late 1981 and 1984 and were based in the Southend-on-Sea area and comprised: * Bill 'Kirt Tempest' Bailey: keys/tapes/electronic beats, * Iain 'Oaf' Weir: bass, * Cliff Gee: voice, * Mark 'Snowboy' Cotgrove: percussion. The band was originally formed by Kirt, Oaf & Cliff who all attended Westcliff High School together. The band was later complimented by the addition of Hadleigh's greatest musical export - Snowboy - sometime in early 1983 after a chance meeting with Kirt at Honky Tonk music store (in Hadleigh, Essex, UK) earlier that year. The original 3-piece band practiced in Oaf's bedroom with pretty minimal equipment. The first song to be written was 20,000 Souls - a chorus chant about West Ham United's Upton Park football ground in East London. The band's output was marked by three relatively distinct phases. Early Period: 1981 to early 1982 A period of early exploration and experimentation - usually undertaken in Oaf's bedroom-cum-studio or Kirt's lounge. Snowboy was not a member at this time and no polished recordings were made and just one gig performed (Zero 6 where all these songs were performed). Songs written at this time included In Remembrance of M.P. (about a good friend, Mark Paveley, who tragically killed himself while only 18 years old) and Jazz-Funk - a concoction of self-indulgent solo Fender-Rhodes improvised jazz riffs (in the vein of the jazz-funk style popular at the time) and an eccentric cacophony of sounds and effects resulting from feeding the Dr. Rhythm through a Big Muff distortion peddle and a Korg x911 guitar synthesizer Mid Period: 1982 to early 1984 This was the most productive era and was marked by Snowboy joining the band (any connection anyone?). Bodyrock was written and Damarge played at The Cliffs Pavilion band contest (one of the biggest venues in Essex). This phase marked the use of more sophisticated equipment, notably - all be it on day hire - the E-mu Drumulator sample drum machine and completion of the main demo tape using some borrowed digital effects. Other songs written/recorded here was Cold (a 5 minute instrumental that would be described as Dark Ambient nowadays and of which only a couple minutes survive), I Feel Love (the classic Donna Summer track) and Break On Through (To The Other Side) - a cover of the classic Doors song. Late Period: 1984 This period was marked by a more fragmented set of styles and a few songs that were never recorded but performed live a few times. These songs include Bostok & Chandler (the authors of an A-level mathematics text book), O.B.N. and Heteroman - an outrageously pumping gay-disco anthem with a catchy Eastern-style riff. The band never officially broke-up, members just went on to do their own things and still keep in touch. There is always talk of reforming for a one-off gig - but current obligations and logistics may make this worthy goal unrealistic. Well, at least for the time being ? but then again? | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Monoss | Mathias Staab | Monoss is a trance music project by Mathias Staab, started in 2003. Mathias was born in 1983 and raised in the small town of Hettstedt in Germany. He’s now living in Leipzig. Mathias is a follower of electronic dance music since the early 90s, listened to euro dance music acts like „2 Unlimited“ and genres like 90s rave. Later in his adolescence he took notice of the trance music genre and preffered artists like ATB, Chicane or Ferry Corsten and listened to music from the legendary Love Parade and Dream Dance compilations. In this time he also started to play around with sample based music software on his PC and shared music online with people in communities full of electronic music freaks. Talking about music production and sharing music with these communities in the year 2000 he came in touch with Fruity Loops, now better known as FL Studio. In the following years Mathias pushed his music in communities like „mp3.de“ or „myownmusic.de“ and in social networks like MySpace. So he came in contact with more upcoming artists and also a few indie labels all across the globe. As a result he had his first releases in this time (Awaiting Sunrise, Invisible Signs and more). As time went by Mathias had to reduce frequency of putting out new stuff, but he still tries to take his time and create new tracks. In 2021 he started to work on a new album. With the beginning of 2023 Mathias decided to release new tracks again under his alias „Monoss“ and his joint venture „com:bined“ (with Lonesome Walker) on multiple platforms and social media channels. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Xanthoma | Xanthoma is the side project of Dale Lee (bass) and Gramie Dee (guitars); both members of British thrash metal band Blood Money. Xanthoma is an outlet for their darker side, encompassing the ethos of death, the despair of doom and the destruction that is thrash. Sean Nelson from Tennessee death metal band Diabolical Dismemberment, completes the line-up on vocals, drum programming created by Mal Robins. Why this name? Xanthoma n. (Med.) zan-'thô-mə. A form of skin cancer Xanthoma n. (Metal.) zan-'thô-mə. A form of brutal, death/thrash/doom metal Do you play live? Xanthoma is currently a side project only, and seeing as the band members are in different countries (Dale and Gramie UK, Sean U.S.A.) NO gigs are planned for the time being. How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry? The internet has opened up the underground metal scene to broader horizons. More people can now gain access to music that was previously out of reach. Would you sign a record contract with a major label? Xanthoma is a side project, but if interest was shown by a label, then yes. Your influences? Opeth, Slayer, Mortician, Sabbath, Death | |

Pete was an early striver to overcome the challenges of undiagnosed blindness virtually from birth. He taught himself guitar and keyboards, encouraged by the talents of his father, who was a noted Flamenco guitarist and singer. He honed his natural talents as a session musician in Los Angeles and for many years in Austin, where he was active in as many as three bands. Whether it was a gig at the Poodle Dog Lounge or a party for Texas Monthly, Pete always gave his all. He attended Judson Preparatory School, Eastern New Mexico State, New Mexico Military Institute, McMurry University and Texas Tech University. In his 50s, still playing in Austin bands, he received his Associate’s degree in Computer Information Technology with a specialty in Local Area Network Systems Security from Austin Community College. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Vederkast | Vederkast | "Vederkast is a band emerging from prolific music scene of Northern Norway. The members come from diverse musical backgrounds: stoner; metal; hardcore; and pop bands. This experience is forged into melodic, heavy hitting, riff laden stories of loss and redemption on their debut album Northern Gothic. The album is full of forceful musical ambition respectful to, but not bound by, traditional elements of hard rock. The band aims at creating songs that connect to the audience, while at the same time surprising the careful listener. The band is based in Tromsø, a town above the Arctic Circle, where dramatic nature has a profound influence on culture. In Northern Norwegian myth vederkast are enchantments that creatures from the underworld wield wilfully upon the innocent." -bandcamp description |
