Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Drako Gigant Drako Gigant is an experimental heavy musical constellation from Athens Greece, formed in 2017 under the concept of exploring heavy music combined with elements of sonic textures like early industrial, ambient, progressive rock, jazz and metal. Improvisation has been the backbone of creating the soundscapes laid down, but not without carefully considering the impact each result might have, first upon the creators and then upon the listener. The members, each coming from different genres and with different approach to how music works and is created, collide in a cauldron of ideas where explosive mixtures and intense dynamics meet and merge into strong bonds of a sound collage full of contradiction; a melting pot of thought provoking color and a deep travel into both the subconscious and dreamy states of mind. In the end this work will have to suffer or win the test of time, depending on the point of view. No boundaries, no walls, just pure music exploration!

Search Add 2 Anthony Asquith Anthony William Landon Asquith Anthony Asquith (9 November 1902, London — 20 February 1968, Marylebone, London) was an English film director, screenwriter, and actor, the youngest son of British Prime Minister H. H. Asquith and socialite [a=Margot Asquith] and half-brother of [a=Lady Violet Bonham-Carter]. He had a prolific and distinguished career from the late silent period until 1965 and specialized in adaptations of stage and theatrical plays. Asquith extensively collaborated with playwright [a=Terence Rattigan] and made ten films based on his works. He served as the inaugural president of the Association of Cinematograph Technicians (from 1937 to 1968). Asquith grew up in a notable and wealthy family and got an excellent education, attending Eaton House private school, Winchester College, and Oxford's Balliol College. According to actor and Asquith's friend [a=Jonathan Cecil], Anthony always disdained and rejected his family's "aristocratic" habits and intentionally chose a filmmaker profession, which still lacked prestige and clear career perspective back then, to distance from their circles. In the 1920s, Asquith traveled to the United States and spent some time in Hollywood, closely observing American directors and their film production techniques. Upon returning to England, Anthony joined a recently established London Film Society and began directing. He made four silent films between 1927 and 1929, with the last one, A Cottage on Dartmoor, gaining critical acclaim. In 1931, Asquith directed Tell England, his first sound production made with the German "Klangfilm" process; the young Boulting brothers made a brief cameo. One of Asquith's best-known early films, an adaptation of [a=George Bernard Shaw]'s stage play Pygmalion starring [a5631920] in 1938, became a significant critical and commercial success, both in the UK and the United States. It was nominated for several Academy Awards, including "Best Picture," and Shaw won the Oscar for "Best Screenplay Writing." In 1951, Anthony Asquith directed The Browning Version drama based on [a=Terence Rattigan]'s eponymous play, a notable UK box office hit and critical triumph — earning him "Grand Prix" nomination at Cannes Film Festival (where [a=Michael Redgrave] and Rattigan won "Best Actor" and "Best Screenplay"), "Best British Film" BAFTA Awards nomination, and two prizes at the Berlin International Film Festival, Bronze medal and "Audience Poll Winner." Asquith further solidified his reputation by writing and directing The Importance of Being Earnest in 1952, based on [a=Oscar Wilde]'s play; Anthony became a "Golden Lion" nominee at the Venice Film Festival. (In a sad twist of fate, his father, [a=Herbert Asquith], serving as Home Secretary in the late 1890s, ordered Wilde's arrest and imprisonment for homosexuality. Furthermore, according to [a=Jonathan Cecil], Anthony Asquith was a repressed gay.) In 1958, he directed a wartime drama, Orders to Kill, based on a story by Donald Chase Downes, a former American spy who acted as the film's adviser, and co-written by [a=Paul Dehn]; Asquith earned the "Palme d'Or" nomination at the Cannes Film Festival that year. By the early 1960s, Anthony was among very few British filmmakers, like [a=David Lean] and [a=Sir Carol Reed], who directed high-budget Hollywood and international projects.

Bez rozmycia treści i wygładzania brzmienia. Mimo drugoobiegowego funkcjonowania nagrań wrocławskiego Miki Mousoleum każdy świadomy fan polskiej muzyki zna takie piosenki jak Polityka kulturalna, Ruski Ketchup czy Zomo na Legnickiej. "W 1981 roku, podczas strajku studentów w Państwowej Wyższej Szkole Sztuk Plastycznych we Wrocławiu, w auli uczelni były podpięte wzmacniacze “Eltron” i stała perkusja. Wszyscy którzy chcieli, mogli dać wyraz swym muzycznym pasjom grając rocka, bluesa, punka czy reggae. Malarz Artur Gouy Golacki okazał się zdolnym basistą a szklarz Piotr Klosowicz lepiej czuł reggae niż punkowy szklarz Marek Puchała (wtedy Klaus Mitffoch). Paliliśmy zioła i ktoś dodał … miki. Kapela wchodzi do studia akademickiego radia studenckiego "Odra" i nagrywa kilka utworów. W 2003 roku Miki Mousoleum reaktywuje się w składzie: Krzysztof "Kaman" Kłosowicz - vocal, gitara, klawisze / Irena Jagiełka - trąbka , Grażyna Wilk-Harlender - vocal / Piotr "Blusmen" Jankowski - gitara / Marek "Markus" Tymiński - gitara / komputer - sekcja rytmiczna i reszta...

Search Add 2 Sinisa Pecic Sinisa Pecic Sinisa Pecic a.k.a. Authentic was born in 1979 in Belgrade. He began his DJ career rather young when he opened a club in Novi Sad with his friend, where he was the resident DJ for five years, mastering his talent at the decks. Meanwhile he played at the less well-known clubs throughout Serbia. The preferred genres of that time - disco house, Chicago house and garage, were his recipe for having a good time. After a shorter break from DJ-ing, he started paying more attention to music scene, releases, producers, production companies, music equipment, hardware and software. As he was flowing deeper into the streams of music production, his interests only expanded. This resulted in Sinisa equipping his home studio where he started dealing with production. As a producer, he focused his refined ear and taste on tech-house sound with a glitch of deep house and elements of minimal. Currently he’s working on a project for two publishers,Audiofase Recordings and CoffeeBreakStreet at the same time finalizing his album and dedicating all of his free time to bringing innovation into music.
