Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 5 | Matt LeGroulx | Multi-instrumentalist Matt LeGroulx has been releasing his home-recorded music since the late 90s, first with Fecund Farrago (anthologies of which have since been released on his label Phonautograph Records) then in the early 2000s under his known name and as Tiny Iota, who's music has never been released. In 2010 he began releasing music as Expwy which gained some notoriety in his home of Montreal and the rest of Canada with 2012's Bag Of Waters thanks to Weird Canada, Exclaim! and local Montreal-based publications. In 2014 he disbanded Expwy though continued to play with much the same people. Although his albums have been mostly done on his own, playing all of the instruments some participants include long-time collaborator Dan Nyborg, Galaxius Mons partner Ian Jarvis, drummer/guitarist/songwriter/producer Daniel Gelinas and bassist and songwriter Elliot Kerr. In 2015 he founded Phonautograph Records and began releasing music as High Five. As of January, 2024 there have been over 20 High Five releases, some under modified names such as High Five Early Music Ensemble, High Five Flute Ensemble and High Five Chamber Music Ensemble. Though these names denote changes in instrumentation or repertoire they are invariably created mainly by LeGroulx with his menagerie of instruments. High Five albums may include tenor saxophone, flute, recorder, clarinet, violin, piano, pandeiro and synthesizer in addition to the standard rock band instrumentation of guitar, bass and drums giving these homemade High Five albums an array of textures usually only possible by collaboration. In 2021 the album Bad Trouble by Body Breaks was released on vinyl by We Are Time, a microtonal collaboration between LeGroulx and vocalist/composer Julie Reich of Toronto's Bile Sister. Founded by No Wave legend Chandra Oppenheim and writer and musician Jesse Locke, We Are Time inaugurated it's existence by releasing Bad Trouble on vinyl marking the only time LeGroulx's music has appeared on that medium. All songs are sung by Reich save for the final one which is sung by LeGroulx. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Hauntissimo | Funs Chung | Hauntissimo is a one-man music project by Snuf starting from 2013. He had done a short live show that year, but, as he recalled, was a nightmare. In the early 2017, he picked up his old demos and reworked again. He replaced real bass guitar with samplings and decided to digitalize everything to make things easier to control. With his long-time listening to the Ruins and Merzbow in the meantime, he blended some lo-fi noisy synthesizers, drum loops with irregular time signature, plus minimal melodic bass-riffs together. After that, during the same year in September, he self-released his debut self-titled EP. |

| Search | Add | 5 | Warred | Warred was founded in 2012 by young band members and long time friends Arthur Ernandes and Rodrigo Andrade. They both shared the same passion for old school metal bands such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest and more, they formed a band pursuing the fiery and furious sound of the old guard, bringing that to the modern times back then. The band began recording their debut EP ‘Wild Legion’ in 2013, but feeling their music needed more time to shape its style, it took a few years from that to come back with a stable line up consisting of Pedro Mion (vocals), Arthur Ernandes (guitar), Rodrigo Andrade (guitar), Jorge Nascimento (drums) and Espiga (bass). This is the lineup who recorded two singles “Beneath The Sea” and “Where I Belong” in 2019 and now coming with a brand new song “Behind The Mask” that is featured on the band’s first ever video. The band is now in process of songwriting for their debut record which is due to be recorded and released in Q4 2020. It fuses its old school style with their new found influences such as Gojira, Mastodon, Opeth and more, but all band members have different musical backgrounds such as hardcore, punk and more. With that said, the debut album will come with an unique and constant evolving sound. Warred was also, in part time, an Iron Maiden cover band. The guys in Warred not only payed its tribute to one of the biggest bands in history, but also did it with so much maestry that the band began to being noticed in cover festivals around Sao Paulo and won a major championship of cover bands by unanimty from a body of highly specialized jurors, giving the band the right of being the resident band of some reputable and internationally recognized night clubs in Sao Paulo such as Blackmore. | |

Apparently since 2012 he ceased using the short version of his name and adopted Edgar Arrellín Rosas (for his audio engineer work) and Edgar Arrellín Caviedes (as artist and designer). As all these names are variations on his actual long name, use Edgar Arrellín (with the accent on the í - that's AltGr+i on a Windows keyboard) and ANV with the longer name.

| Search | Add | 5 | Stan Stennett | Stanley Llewelyn "Stan" Stennett (30 July 1925 – 26 November 2013) was a Welsh comedian, actor and jazz musician. Stennett was born in Pencoed, Bridgend. During World War II, he served in the army and also worked as an entertainer. He made his professional stage debut with a group called the Harmaniacs. He later became resident comedian on a radio show, Welsh Rarebit, but his break was being chosen as one of the regular comedy guests on The Black and White Minstrel Show. Although primarily a comedian, who appeared in variety shows and pantomime throughout the UK, Stennett played "straight" acting roles in television programmes such as Coronation Street and Casualty. He was best known as Sid Hooper in the ITV soap opera, Crossroads, before taking a lease in 1980 on the Roses Theatre (Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire). Stennett was a friend of Eric Morecambe, and hosted the show that was to be Morecambe's final performance on 27 May 1984, immediately after which Morecambe died of a heart attack. Stennett played trumpet and guitar. In his 80s he was still performing onstage. His autobiography, Fully Booked, was published in 2010. | |

Two songs were recorded in 1996 and released under the title “Hymns Of Death”. In the beginning of 2002, the recordings for an album started and were finally finished later. This time, the lyrics took a very different direction, that dealt with Scandinavian mythology. However, it seemed that it was difficult to find a label to release such an album. Finally by 2011, the full-length album "Scrolls Of Grimace" was released. In 2012, more new Thugnor tracks appeared on a split release with two other bands.

| Search | Add | 5 | John Draycott | John Draycott grew up with music. He comes from a family of musicians. With Dad on the fiddle, Mom on the banjo, John on guitar and his sisters on the piano and organ, the household was a lively place to be on a Saturday night. As a young boy, John's family would spend Saturday nights with his family, at the homes of relatives. These musical house parties were regular events throughout his childhood. John's music was influenced by John Prine as well as Neil Young, John Denver and the Eagles. By age 20, he was writing his own music and lyrics. A few years later, he made his first professional recording at Tamarack Sound and had airplay for some of his own songs on some well-known Ontario Country radio stations. His music attracted interest from Hamilton, ON based Indie label ROTO NOTO Records. He recorded 6 original songs at the renowned Grant Avenue Studios. These recordings were distributed world wide and received airplay in 23 countries. John was then offered an opportunity to record videos for his songs for Hamilton's television station, who had a big show featuring Canadian country artists. He was featured on CHAM radio station's 'This Week in Canadian Country'. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Jason Hannan | Jason Hannan is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer based in Frederick, Maryland. His songs have been featured on bluegrass and independent country stations nationwide. His musical partnership with his wife, Michelle Hannan, has resulted in the release of several singles and albums, including their critically acclaimed 2021 concept album Cheater’s Waltz. Born in Jackson, Mississippi and raised in the small town of Grenada, on the edge of the Mississippi delta, Jason grew up to the sounds of traditional country music and the delta blues. As the son of country singer/songwriter Hal Windham - who was influential in the Gulf Coast music scene in the 1970’s - Jason’s love for roots music runs deep. Jason’s start as a musician came playing drums in junior high and high school. After a stint in the navy, he cut his teeth playing guitar and bass on the bluegrass circuit, performing with several well known bands in the Washington, DC area including stints with the Crop Dusters, the Milldudes, ClearSpring, the Zekiah Swamp Cats, and fill in dates with Satyr Hill, Nate Clendenen, Darren Beachley & Potomac, and many more. In 2015 Jason and Michelle founded the country band One Blue Night, eventually rebranded as Michelle Hannan & One Blue Night. Their musical partnership has resulted in several Washington Area Music Award nominations and critical acclaim. As a part of Michelle Hannan & One Blue Night, Jason shares lead vocal duties with Michelle and provides warm harmony vocals to Michelle’s leads. He plays electric and acoustic guitar on stage, as well as bass, mandolin, piano, and drums on the band’s various studio projects. Jason serves as the band’s primary songwriter, penning most of their original material. In 2024 Jason released bluegrass album entitled "Heading South" featuring his songwriting and choice covers. Jason is the founder and owner of Waiting for Lester Records, a new record label focusing on country, bluegrass, and Americana music. He proudly uses and endorses MountainSong acoustic guitars. Jason is married to his long time musical partner, singer/songwriter Michelle Hannan, and has two children, Katie and Danny. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Jahan Nostra | Jamil Hannibal Wilson | Jahan Nostra is an Emcee/Hip Hop Artist from Stamford, CT and Mount Vernon, NY. He has released four major projects: Bedtime Street Album (2012), Sleepwalking (2013), ESP (2016) and Violet Skies: Vol I (2023). Jahan's 2023 project, Violet Skies: Vol I features Masta Ace, REKS, Tahmell and Che Noir. Jahan's 2016 album ESP – mastered by the Grammy Award-Winning Engineer, Daddy Kev – features the legendary, Smif-N-Wessun, as well as Tone Trump and Ceschi. Jahan's album Sleepwalking features Hakim Green (of Channel Live) and the entire album was produced by Poppa Pill, known for producing on Rakim's 2009 album, The Seventh Seal. --- In his early childhood, Jahan lived in Mount Vernon, NY – hometown to Pete Rock, Heavy D and Sean “Diddy” Combs. Jahan’s musically talented neighbors inspired him to pursue a career in music and he began rhyming at 9 years old. After moving to the inner-city of Stamford, CT, Jahan continued to develop his lyrical talent and at age 13, he was signed to the label, BMX Entertainment in Brooklyn. In high school, Jahan showcased his talent on the independent music scene, recording freestyles on mixtapes. He and his partner Kyro also recorded tracks with Producer Raydar Ellis (who went on to work under Dr. Dre at Aftermath). After high school, Jahan moved to North Carolina to study Journalism at UNC. During college, Jahan worked at Duke University Radio with 9th Wonder who introduced him to Big Pooh and Phonte. During these years – the early stages of Little Brother – Jahan even had to face-off in a battle with Phonte at the famed Cat’s Cradle. After returning to CT, Jahan recorded and released the Bedtime Street Album (2012) and Sleepwalking (2013) – produced by Poppa Pill [known for producing on Rakim's album, The Seventh Seal (2009)]. He spent 2014 touring in the US with the Vans Warped Tour and the Full Blast Summer Tour. In 2016, Jahan released his latest album, ESP - mastered by the Grammy-Nominated Engineer, Daddy Kev - with features from the legendary, Smif-N-Wessun, Tone Trump and Ceschi. Since the release of ESP, Jahan Nostra has been traveling and performing at shows and festivals throughout the US and Canada; Jahan has opened for Smif-N-Wessun, J. Cole, Hakim Green (Channel Live), Das EFX, Ras Kass, Cappadonna (Wu-Tang), Royal Flush, Mr. Cheeks (Lost Boyz), Blahzay Blahzay, Al Skratch and he performed with RZA (Wu-Tang), freestyling live to RZA's piano accompaniment at the City Winery in New York. Jahan Nostra has performed at The Gramercy Theatre NY, Panke Culture (Berlin, Germany), Legend Club Milano (Milan, Italy), Cafe Oz Rooftop (Paris, France) and Petit Campus (Montréal, Québéc, Canada). He has also performed at Brooklyn Music Week, the East Coast Music Conference, Spotify's US HQ, TuneCore (Brooklyn), Fort Greene Park (Brooklyn), Corona Park (Queens), the National Black Theatre (New York), Ashford & Simpson's Sugarbar, the Hope Rocks Festival and the Under Pressure Graffiti & Hip Hop Festival (Montréal, Québéc, Canada). Jahan Nostra has won numerous awards for his work, including the Best Music Video Award at the 2019 Hip Hop Film Festival (Harlem: New York, NY), Best Music Video at the 2019 Golden Door International Film Festival (Jersey City, NJ), and Best Music Video at the 2019 New York International Films Infest Festival (New York, NY). Jahan Nostra has been interviewed by Doctor Dre (Yo! MTV Raps), A-King (Combat Jack Show) and featured in several media outlets, including: Hot 97, Hip Hop DX, Underground Hip Hop Blog, Huff Post, The Ryan Show and Philly FAME TV. With respect to his creative influences, Jahan credits Tupac Shakur as an inspiration for “his ability to paint pictures with great emotion and put poetry in motion while still being true to himself.” Taking his craft seriously, Jahan has an artist statement that he lives by: “To uplift for the future, reflect reality and prove that I’m the illest.” |

| Search | Add | 5 | Jason A. Pizzolato | Jason A. Pizzolato is a musician from New Orleans, LA. Guitarist, composer, electronic music producer, digital visual artist, & rare-music archivist. Co-founder of, and guitarist for, the infamous New Orleans death metal band Apostasy from 1990- '96. Apostasy recorded a well-received cassette in 1993 called "Unholy Conversion" which was sold & traded throughout the tape-trading underground of the 1990s. Josh Eustis (Nine Inch Nails / Puscifer / Telefon Tel Aviv) was a vocalist in the band for a brief period. The band's live shows were notorious: audience members were often bombarded with raw meat, buckets of cow blood, maggot-infested dead birds, & other grisly items. In 1994, the band performed their final show at the Abstract Bookstore & Café alongside friends' bands Hangnail & The Satanic whose lineups included members of Flesh Parade, Crowbar, Mule Skinner, Eyehategod, Paralysis, Pantera, & Superjoint Ritual. A massive brawl broke out in the audience halfway through The Satanic's set, causing the show to end abruptly before its full completion. The show is considered by many to be legendary in New Orleans underground music history. After some years of musical inactivity, he began writing songs on guitar again in 2007. In February of 2013, he started an electronic music project called Mind of God, which is influenced by the likes of Scorn, Coil, & early SPK. Mind of God produces heavy, beat-driven, dark ambient dub. The project has received impressive accolades from Tristan Shone (Author & Punisher), John Everall (Tactile), members of Eyehategod, Loincloth, Nine Inch Nails, as well as Heathen Harvest Periodical, Tironas Magazine, & other notables. Several MOG albums have been released by various record labels, & the project's videos can be seen on YouTube & Vimeo. Apostasy appears in the book Tape Dealer, which was released by Seven Metal Inches Records in 2020. The book is an ode to the origins of Death Metal and the tape-trading phenomena, covering the years 1984 to 1994. Apostasy has a two-page spread in the book, including an interview with Pizzolato in which he discusses the recording of the "Unholy Conversion" demo, what gigs were like in New Orleans in the '80s & '90s, & the underground tape-trading network. | |
