Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Hilltop Holdout was formed in 1976 with a number of Americans who were in Brisbane teaching. The line up at that time was Keith Ross on banjo, Bern Dell on guitar, and three Americans - Hunter Owens, Jim Farnham (sp?) and Nancy Hodgen. Rosanne Gare played fiddle. They played various festivals and on local television (ABC TV’s Country Music programme Country Roads). Search Add 3 Q-Sign Athens, GA Q-Sign was formed by American Chris McKay and Irishman Tom O'Gorman on the banks of the Oconee River in Athens, Georgia in March of 1995. Soon after, the duo had added Andy Ainsworth on lead guitar to the permanent lineup and had begun work on the songs that would be included on Earth Loop And Goodness. In fact, "Stay Away", "Pepper" and "Twist" were put together within the first 24 hours that O'Gorman and McKay were writing together and the majority of the album's songs were written within the first 2 weeks. Brian Pridemore and Ken Slotkowski were the original rhythm section. Eventually, Michael Rietveld took over on drums from Brian and first Dave Chalfant, then Christine Reynolds played bass. Q-Sign played regionally for a couple of years and earned the distinction of being named one of Musician Magazine's Best Unsigned Bands In America before founder Tom O'Gorman moved overseas. The band's last live performance was on July 4, 1998 in front of 55,000 people in Atlanta, Georgia during the Peachtree Road Race and Q-Sign was seen on nearly all TV news coverage.

Led by Brano Likić, under the alias of Njegoslav Sagaš, Baglama introduced the elements of the emerging punk/new wave sound in the Sarajevo pop scene, mixing them with folk parody, including the famous "ganga" singing style from the rural hinterlands of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Their humoristic approach is believed to have influenced the later "new primitives" movement in Sarajevo during the mid-1980s. Other members of the band, who also used funny aliases, included: Pero Nikačević Džemo Novaković Vlado Gaćina Toni Malis

Search Add 3 The Aire Valley Singers The Aire Valley Singers were founded by David Bryan, in 1970 and continued to flourish under his leadership and inspired conducting for more than 30 years. David was ably assisted by Doreen Anderson, who later took over as Musical Director. Originally about 16 voices, the choir’s numbers have now doubled, but it remains a chamber choir, singing mainly “a cappella” music and occasionally pieces accompanied by organ or a small orchestra. The choir’s repertoire ranges from the Renaissance to the present day, and from the serious to lighter arrangements of popular music. Over the years the choir has performed in various countries, including visits to Germany, Belgium, Holland, Norway, France, Italy, Spain, Wales and the U.S.A. Honours they have received include a first prize at the Rencontres Internationales de Chant Choral at Tours in the Loire Valley, and an award for the Best Chamber Choir at the Royal Albert Hall. They were twice runners-up in the BBC’s “Let the Peoples Sing” competition. Each season the choir adopts a charity and have raised thousands of pounds. They have appeared on radio and television at home and abroad and have produced a number of recordings. Now directed by Barbara Bancroft, the choir continues to provide pleasure for audiences and to maintain the highest standards in choral music. The choir has a number of talented instrumentalists as well as solo singers, with organ, harp, flute and piano often to be heard at concerts. (c) Aire Valley Singers

Search Add 3 Oldfield Opry Band The Oldfield Opry began on a cold January night in 1977. It was held in a vacant store building owned by John W. Walker located at the junction of Highways 125 and T in Oldfield, Missouri. The band was made up of four local musicians -- Hank Thompson, Bill Gardner, Steve Beyers and Johnny Walker. After a few months, the crowd had outgrown the venue and fundraising efforts began to build a new building. In December of 1990, the new site -- complete with central heating and air, and seating for up to 200 people -- was ready. The Oldfield Opry Band performs every Saturday night from 7-9 pm.

Search Add 3 Love Is A Ghost Love As A Ghost evolved out of an ongoing collaboration between vocalist Char Elizabeth and Producer Tim Newman. Char and Tim first worked together on material for a forthcoming project by David J of Bauhaus. The work took Char’s voice and used it as an element in collage. Char and Tim continued to experiment with styles and techniques looking for their musical home. Everything fell into place when Tim worked on some material by musician and visual artist Craig Tattersall for Brian Records. Craig’s tape manipulations and work with texture was the final piece in the puzzle and Love is a Ghost was born.

Search Add 3 Ill-Boy Phil Phil F. Dj / Producer Owner of TREIBJAGD RECORDS, U6-SCHALLPLATTEN, OPERATION TIGER Ill-Boy Phil / born 1982 / munich, germany. In the early 90´s he bought his first pair of turntables and started messing around with vinyl records. Starting turntablism and beatjuggling as a HipHop-DJ. Being fascinated by the medium, he built up his own record store “Ill-Biznizz Records” in 2001. Everything went well along the time, but things were about to change. After visiting several electronic festivals, Phil fell in love with electronic dance music. He started collecting his first techno and house vinyls and began organizing underground rave parties. Today his parties, called “Treibjagd”, are still the main events in the area. Big names, as well as creative youngsters, are always exited to show up and spin the tables. After so many years Phil decided to advance to the next level and started to produce his own sounds in 2010. After releasing some tunes and remixes on different labels, he decided to built himself and other talented artists a platform: “Treibjagd Records” was born and hit the scene very successfully. Artists like Patrick Kunkel, Pele, Lützenkirchen, Joseph Disco, Dema & Paride Saraceni produce for “Treibjagd Records” and new and talented artists get a chance to become recognized on the newly founded sublabel “U6 Schallplatten”. Phil truly loves music and the art of party. He hosts a radioshow on FEVAH FM 88.3, still plays on every good party he can catch on and searches for young talents to boost their career. His records get support from big names like Sven Väth, Aka Aka, Paco Osuna, Butch, Oliver Schories, M.A.N.D.Y, Slam and many many more…

Derek was one of the most popular team members on Australia's enormously successful children's variety program, Young Talent Time, and was a much loved singing and dancing teen heart-throb with a huge and very loyal fan base. When Derek's famous brother Jamie Redfern left YTT to tour the United States with Mr Showmanship Liberace, Derek was Jamie's obvious replacement, and went on to be a huge hit with the iconic television shows ever increasing weekly viewing audience. Derek released his own hit single "Put your head on my shoulder" in the early seventies and the song charted very well around the country, making it into the top 10 in a number of Australian states. Derek has only recently returned to the stage and judging by the the reception his current audiences are giving him, he has not lost any of the magic which made him a star!

Search Add 3 Jazzator Jazzator is a Russian-Swiss quartet that has embarked upon an adventurous mission of blending chamber music and jazz, free improvisation and wild post-breakbeat grooving. The result is a powerful iconoclastic sound and an exciting action that takes place on stage. The band consists of a composer/pianist/singer Marina Sobyanina, a baritone sax player Oleg Mariakhin, a drummer Sergey Balashov and a bass player Maximilian Grossenbacher, who recently joined the band. The musicians have fun with complicated rhythmic structures and intense textures and at the same time don’t compromise the melodic beauty of their compositions. Original compositions by Marina Sobyanina get further enlivened by improvised acrobatics on the instruments and practical jokes that musicians play on each other and the audience.
