Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026

Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Dirty Lips Dirty Lips was founded in 1989 in Hamburg, Germany by D.D. (Bass), Frank (Guitars & Vocals), Roger (Drums) and Thomy (Leadguitars). The four immediatly started touring in 1990 and gathering quite a following. D.D, Frank, Roger & Thomy won a contest in 1991 to record an early demo of three songs, which ended up on the 1993-album "Nothing's Better Than Your ...". They spent almost 8 weeks recording and engineering their first CD at Crossroads studio. After parting with guitar-player Thomy (he quit because of personal reasons), the band released a CD-single "Won't Cry" in 1998 as a three-piece. From 2000-2001 D.D., Frank and Roger played a few shows with guitarrist "Wenzel", then put the band on a hiatus until 2005 when they rejoined with original lead-guitar-player Thomy. The four of them started recording the follow-up-album "From Nothing To Now" in 2007, parting ways with Thomy again. He recorded five songs with the band and was not able to finish the whole CD. He was replaced by Roger younger brother Marco, who played on the remaining songs. "From Nothing To Now" was produced by Frank Haas and engineered and mixed by Markus Utke. It was released on their own label "Dirty Lips Records" on June 1st of 2012. D.D., Frank, Marco and Roger recorded a musicvideo for their single "Losing My Mind" starring German Porn Star "Sweet Sophie" in the end of the year. The band was saddened by the news that Thomy died in November 2012. RIP.

Search Add 3 Anne Collingham Anne Collingham was not a real person. It was made up by Tony Barrow in 1963 to help keep things simple at [l104714]. A variety of girls who worked at the fan club were used as 'Anne Collingham' for photos at the time. Tony Barrow wrote about this in the May 1983 issue of the Beatle Book Monthly: "I decided in June 1963 that the Club should have a Nation Secretary based in London at our Monmouth Street address. Until then, fans in the South had kept in touch through [a11055221] in Surrey whilst [a13414875] had looked after the top half of Britain from her NEMS office base in Liverpool. The name of the new National Secretary was given as 'Anne Collingham'. In fact, no such person ever existed. The 'Collingham' part came from part of my secretary's home address in Earls Court, and Anne was my wife's middle name. It wasn't done in order to deceive the fans. It was intended to be helpful. Clearly as the membership grew a full time office staff of clerks and helpers would be needed. There was little to be gained from confusing members by letter them receive replies from an assortment of people, especially as staff were coming and going all the time. So the simplest answer seemed to be to have Anne Collingham as the regular signature on all individual reply letters, on newsletters and on all the Club's printed stationery. There was another massive advantage. The press office and the Fan Club shared a single telephone number, COVent Garden 2332. As the publicity side of things became busier we were not only handling the Beatles but all the other NEMS acts ranging from Billy J. Kramer to Cilla Black. The telephone lines were being used more and more heavily. Therefore it was convenient to know at once if a caller wanted the press office or the Fan Club. If the caller asked or Anne Collingham, it was passed straight through to the right room to be handled quickly. Personal callers at 13 Monmouth Street always found themselves talking to come of Anne Collingham's assistants. Ms. Collingham herself seemed to eb permanently unavailable to meet her visiting members! The Fan club grew so fast that we took an extra floor of office space above the press office's suite of rooms. Here at least half a dozen full time workers coped with the mountains of mail. These peopel included Michael Crowther-Smith, tony Catchpole, Yvonne Sainsbury, Monica Stringer and Macy Cockram. By the end of 1963, Bettina Rose, the Surrey-based South of England Secretary, had been put on the full-time NEMS payroll and was working at at Monmouth Street as the colleague of 'Anne Collingham'. The two signed themselves as 'Joint National Secretaries of the Official Beatles Fan Club'. Bettina's physical appearance at Monmouth Street meant that at least one of the Club's chiefs was on hand to meet visitors in person."

Search Add 3 Bern Foster Bernardo Bejerano Bernardo Bejerano Narváez, artistically known as Bern Foster, is a Spanish illustrator recognized for his retro and vibrant aesthetic. Born in Cádiz in 1986 and raised on the beaches of Chiclana, Bern has captured hearts through the power of nostalgia—using aesthetics as his greatest strength and the seductive appeal of capitalism as a core source of inspiration. He has always believed that it was his childhood memories—TV commercials from the late ’80s, movies, music, and pop culture—that sparked his distinctive style and aesthetic. Despite his passion for illustration, Bern began working as an engineer in 2012. It wasn’t until 2015 that he decided to return to his artistic roots, financing his creative work with the income he earned as an engineer—until what was once a hobby became a full-time profession. He never attended a single art class; instead, he developed his skills through self-discipline, adopting techniques and drawing influence from artists like Hajime Sorayama, Hiroshi Nagai, Eizin Suzuki, Bob Peak, among many others.

Search Add 3 Cde. Chinx Chingaira Dick Chingaira Chinx is a short name for Chingaira. He was born in Rusape on September 27, 1955. He was married to Catherine Mazuru who died in 1996. Chingaira attended Chigora Primary School in the Makoni District of Rusape. His interest in music began when his primary school headmaster, Martin Dhlamini, encouraged him to sing and to join the school choir. On completion of secondary school, Chingaira got a place to study medicine overseas but he failed to acquire travel documents and the whole plan failed to materialise. Then in 1974 he worked at an engineering plant in Msasa, in Harare. At the end of 1975, Chinx joined the Second Chimurenga war in Mozambique. As much as he was a fighter his love for music made him a full-time organiser of theZimbabwe African National Union Patriotic Front(ZANU-PF) People’s Choir. The choir that was formed was called Takawira in honour of the late nationalistLeopold Takawira. Takawira Choir became just but one of many other choirs which boosted freedom fighters’ morale during the war. Chinx had joined the guerrillas with the sole aim of liberating Zimbabwe but found himself being the leader of the Takawira choir which in no time changed its name to the Zimbabwe African National Liberation Army (ZANLA) Choir, which acted as a morale booster for the fighting cadres when Comrade Mhere Yaraira who led the group was transferred. Chinx's musical skills were later realised at independence in 1980 when he returned to Zimbabwe. He soon teamed up with Bennie Miller and Keith Farquharson to record his early chimurenga hits “Ngorimba”, “Zvikomborero” and “Nerudo”. The band soon developed to include Don Gumbo of Ilanga and more hits were recorded between 1982 and 1987. Chinx pursued a multitude of career options. Shortly after leaving Ilanga he pursued a solo career. He has also acted in films (1996’s Flame), as well as writing the score for the 1989 South African documentary Limpopo Line. After a short stint with Ilanga he moved on to team up with Mazana Movement Bandand then later with Mazana Black Spirits. His hit song entitled "Vanhu Vose VemuAfrica" translated "People of Africa" captures the essence of humanity and unity in the face of injustice and unfairness. His most outstanding hit, “Roger Confirm”, stayed on the then Radio 3’s Hitpick charts for 25 weeks in 1989 and early 1990. Every year since the 1980s during the Heroes Day, Independence Day celebrations and Africa Day holidays, all radio stations in Zimbabwe have continued to play Chinx’s liberation songs. In 2000 when the land reform started. Chinx, with the late former band mate Andy Brown backed by the Police Band when the land reform started, composed and recorded songs for the government becoming part of the Third Chimurenga.

Search Add 3 Echo7 Melodic hard rock quartet Echo 7 hails from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and consists of dual frontmen Ronnie O'Briant and Dave Sharrock (both handling vocals and guitar), Frank Roop (bass) and Jason Hearn (drums). Borrowing their name from Han Solo's code name in The Empire Strikes Back, the band formed in 1999 and toured consistently throughout the Eastern seaboard before recording their self-financed Trippin' on Destiny debut. The growing regional buzz surrounding the group's accessible brand of hard rock (reminiscent of Nickelback and Creed, among others) eventually led to a deal with In De Goot Recordings, which made Echo 7's next offering One Step Away the label's first release.
