Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Trans/Human | Adam Denton and Luke Twyman began collaborating under the name Trans/Human at The Audacious Art Experiment HQ in Sheffield during 2011. Employing several noise making devices and techniques in their performances, including mobile phones, radio, cassette tape, prepared electric guitar, processed drums, strobe lighting, contact microphones, field recordings and feedback systems, Trans/Human’s concerns lie within the physical act of music making and its relationship to environment and audience. Through their collaboration the duo sought to reflect their inclination towards creating ritualized sonic and visual experiences via a series of improvised performances, resulting in the cassette release, The 8 Hour Dance (2011). A further release on Blackest Rainbow, The Wider, was recorded in early 2012. Trans/Human’s improvised performances led to important collaborations with New Aktionist artists Nick Kilby and Kris Kanavan. Throughout 2012 Trans/Human have developed their performances to use the artist’s body as a conduit between noise and audience. By amplifying objects used by Kilby or Canavan during these performances, Trans/Human have added to their repository of noise making devices, bringing together performance and sound art in an innovative and engaging way.

Search | Add | 4 | Élodie Sablier | French Classical Pianist Born and raised in Provence, Elodie Sablier exuded passion for romanticism and classical piano at a very young age, inspired by her grandfather. Her French upbringing included significant exposure to classical and contemporary paintings, sculpture, music and books which formed her inner sensitivity. Elodie pursued music composition and performance with distinction in the Conservatoires of Lyon and Paris, and then jazz courses at the Conservatoire of Valence. She held frequent piano solo recitals in Europe, while also composing for silent movies and cartoons, including live representation in cinema festivals. Moving to Sydnet, Australia in 2008, Elodie continued to hone skills in composition and performance, while discovering new inspiration for her music in the Australian landscape and among Australians. Elodie has performed concerts in many venues in Australia, including The Basement, Foundry 616, Sound Lounge, Bennetts Lane, The sydney opera House, and Melbourne Recital Centre. Elodie's debut Australian album Vertigo was released successfully in late 2013. Her compositions are regularly aired on ABC Classic FM, and her album has been CD of the week at 2MBS FM and 3MBS FM and ABC Triple J Unearthed. Elodie has also begun to collaborate more widely, particularly in the realms of art and music. Inter alia, Elodie held a successful collaboration project with painter Paul Thomas for a series of portraits of the World's Greatest Composers (which adorns City Recital Hall, Sydney). She has recently composed film scores for a recently released movie "The Last Goodbye" (directed by award winning film maker Samantha Rebillet) and "Generation A", an inspirational documentary about education in Afghanistan by Jasmin Kozowy. Elodie’s willingness to extend the collaborations across mediums, and particularly between Music and Cinema, has lead Elodie to focus more on composing, and often to play live on inspiring extracts of movies she wishes to musically illustrate. Elodie has released two more alums: Silent Bridge (December 2014), also recorded in Australia, and back in France, Graine de Sable (Grain of Sand) June 2017.

Search | Add | 4 | Olimpia Zagnoli | Olimpia is a creative female-type person born into an artistic family in Milano. She drives a Vespa and has large round glasses, but the main thing is that she can, and does, draw like an ambidextrous octopus. One with with prodigious skills, and a doppio espresso. She has been called a “millennial stronza” by a certain green-eyed monster of a certain age. Okay, she’s replaced me, but I can’t help but like her. She’s so good! Although she will admit to being influenced by Bruno Munari, Paul Rand and the other usual suspects, she creates super fresh shapely shapes, completely new voluptuous forms, in her own clean palette of brights and darks, flat as a pancake, baby. After graduating from some kind of design school in Italy, OZ burst upon the New York media scene in a colorful cloud of charm, humor, and easy-to-work-withiness (an essential new adjective when describing young people) in 2008. She then proceeded to take The New York Times, The New Yorker, and the New York subway system by talented storm. OZ’s bright visions pop up -and sometimes out- in all the best places, including Fendi, Apartamento Magazine, The Guggenheim Museum, and the G train. She thinks fast, draws faster, and eats spaghetti like a lady. Along with her father she has designed a line of objects, called Clodomiro, including plates, shirts and scarves, some of which are just plain naughty, and all of which are delightful. Clodomiro is her father’s real name. Go figure. – Laurie Rosenwald www.rosenworld.com OZ lives in Milan. OZ listens to T.Rex. OZ drinks Coca Cola. OZ wears stripes. OZ stands for Olimpia Zagnoli.

Search | Add | 4 | synta[xe]rror | synta [XE] rror is a duo of Bartosz “Kostia” Jakubicki and Artur “Blacha” Błaszczyk hailing from Wrocław in southern Poland. Project came to life in the late ‘90s. Guys officialy released 2 albums – “Abyad” in 2006 on Polish War Office Propaganda and “Final” on Italian Ars Benevola Mater. A little over a year ago, and 14 years after the well-received "Final" (ABM 2007), the SYNTA [XE] RROR duo broke a long silence to publish the album "[.] DOT" in Zoharum, an unreleased before material, recorded in a relatively short time since their debut for Italian label, being a natural consequence of the previous album with many references, visible in the composition layer, in a similar sound and building a climate. We dealt with interesting, slightly broken electronics, kept in the IDM style, with a slightly industrial vibe. The new material brings many changes. Then we deal with electronics in the IDM convention, but more massive, because the emphasis is on building structures based on a heavy kick drum and strongly dehumanized, almost mechanical rhythm. Multilayered percussion, intertwined with emotional melody, filling the space with which the music from "[.] DOT" is associated, have been changed here with a rough, almost metallic sound, thickening with every minute of the slowly unraveling machine, announcing the inevitable cataclysm, crime or maybe apocalypse.

Search | Add | 4 | Modules Plus | Nick DeJohn, Israel Haiglar | Modules Plus began in 2013 as any other bedroom producer, with founder Nick DeJohn inspired by a live set by an artist named Baths, and continues to be inspired by sleepless nights, boring aspects of life, and nostalgia. His room is slowly shrinking and he doesn't know how to stop it. Since then, the project has been worked on on and off, but it has recently resurfaced with a focus on live performance, incorporating Israel Haiglar as a vocalist, guitarist, and additional synth player, while Nick plays synths, live drums, and different noise makers over punchy Akai MPC drums. They use both gloomy and hopeful warm drum textures and nauseatingly detuned synthesizers. This project has always been an integral piece in Nick's life, and will remain so when he finishes his training to recover the lost medallion and avenge his family. The next M+ EP will be their first as a duo. |

Search | Add | 4 | Bent Roads Tavern | Bent Roads Tavern | Bent Roads Tavern (BRT) is a Canadian Indie Folk collective based in Calgary, Alberta. We started as a folk-roots jam band in the early 2000s. The 1938 film, “The Adventures of Robin Hood” inspired our name. The usurped King of England returns from overseas and takes shelter at “Kent Road Tavern”. There, he learns of Robin Hood’s support of his return to the throne. The Olde English writing on the sign looks (to us) like “Bent Roads Tavern”. We like the connection of Robin Hood with social justice and equality. We think of our music as the atmosphere in a refuge on a mountain pass – safe and warm from the howling winds along life’s endlessly bending road. Drawing inspiration from Robin Hood’s theme of fairness and equality, our music offers a bold commentary on modern life. A&R Factory says, "if you could imagine how Lou Barlow's (Dinosaur Jr.) vocals would resonate over a mesmerizing contemporary folk melody, you'll get an idea of the stinging evocative potency which will permeate when you hit play,” Recording technology has changed a lot over the 18 years since we started recording. We wanted to re-record our songs for you using the latest in sound quality. Check out our re-released music "The Legend of Bent Roads Tavern.” We’re recording new music now and look forward to sharing it with you in 2021. We believe the cornerstone of Bent Roads Tavern is an enduring togetherness amongst our fans and minstrels. The music fosters sharing stories around the metaphorical fire. Step into the Tavern day or night, rain, snow, or shine. |
