Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Fugato (2) | They have a reggae/funk sound with an occasional rock bass line and psychedelic guitar, and Steele’s girlfriend Tamara Gough sometimes guest vocals with her big diva voice. When playing Steele is always bare foot, Holmes bites his bottom lip and Stevenson’s cheeks get red on his straight face. Holmes and MacDonald have played together before the in bands Port Citizen and Supercar. Steele says he and Stevenson were fans of Port Citizen and Supercar as teenagers. “They were up and kickin’, and listening to music before we were born,” he jokes. “These guys are young pups, I’m an old fart,” 29-year-old Holmes said of Steele, 22, and Stevenson, 23. Steele and Stevenson played in the band Tumbleweed, and MacDougall played for the bands Eyes For Telescopes and The Tuesdays. MacDougall joined the group in August, although he is not on the CD and could not make it to the release due to family commitments. Holmes says MacDougall is an excellent percussionist and brings a new aspect to the band’s sound. “I bought my first set of drums off of Mike.” The band doesn’t really have any creative differences when writing music, says Holmes. “It all comes from Mark in the get-go and then we mold it.” Steele says the credit is not all his own. “I don’t come up with the drum beats,” he said. “Damn right you don’t,” laughs Holmes. The band’s name came about by chance. They were discussing names when Steele said something and Holmes asked, “Did you say Fugato?” “And I said, ‘Fugato what the hell,’” said Steele. Other names discussed for the band were Black Lung Boutique, and Hot Buttered Elvis. “I was pushing Hot Buttered Elvis pretty hard,” said Steele. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Steve.e! | Steve Kasper | The ways of music lovers are actually not that inscrutable as you might think. At least Steve’s ways of musical preferences are pretty easy to reconstruct. In his home town Demmin on the Baltic Sea there was Hip-Hop at first. After he moved to Dresden, he danced his ass off at Drum’n’Bass parties and not long after he got into djing. Dresden’s small, unfortunately now defunct club legend L’Houp was the first location for his DJ sets which were still under the banner of rough Breakbeat at that time. After he discovered Dubstep, the parties became more numerous, bigger and musically versatile. His dedication to Dubstep is reflected in his more recent productions. In spite of his young age, he is up to every trick when it comes to producing hot tunes. Good proofs of that are not only the three releases on jamendo.com but also his constantly evolving live set. At Uncanny Valley he is responsible for the required twist, for example with his “Unvexed Dub” on UV010. As part of the Sub Sickness crew again, he is taking care of Dubstep in Dresden. from: http://www.uncannyvalley.de/artists/steve-kasper/ |

| Search | Add | 3 | Matt Mirenda | After six years as a DJ and four as a music producer, he decides to continue his artistic career as Matt Mirenda, stopping using [a=Matijay] as a pseudonym. Matt Mirenda leaves behind the techno and minimal sounds that For years they have accompanied them, keeping them as a memory among the most beautiful experiences that they have lived in the course of their career to this day, as well as the support that great artists have given them such as: Carl Cox, Dubfire, Joy Kitikonti, and so on. Not forgetting Richie Hawtin, that he has mixed in one of his live shows “Stefano Franca – Carousel (Matijay's Extreme Remix)“. The Argentine tour (September 2012 – March 2013) is definitely the main cause of the change. The influences of the progressive genre in an underground style, soon become a true philosophy of life for the artist. In search of the best arpeggio, ever more rolling grooves and melodies that leave listeners in a state of "mental trip", Matt Mirenda begins to live in a totally uncontrolled way. Together with an Argentine musician and composer friend, he works every night until lunchtime, resting during the day, during those moments when the frenzy of the world leaves no room for inspirations and the purest arts. Everything starts again at 9:00 p.m. :00 in the afternoon. The mates are too sugary, the alfajores, the invoices, the asado, the pizzas, the fernet and the bottles of beer are elements that are always present during this period of experimentation. The results arrive immediately, after returning to Europe, Matt Mirenda signs contracts with several record companies already dedicated to the world of progressive and deep house, such as: OLD SQL Recordings, Mistique Music, and several sub-labels of Proton Music. Now, the waves of the sea steal land from the sandy desert, and the strong ocher color leaves space for the green of the forests and orchards, but, like a rushing river, it follows inspiration. | |

But the thinkers at WCAO obstinately embraced Little Richard and Elvis Presley and The Shirelles. For roughly WCAO cornered the market among young listeners. You could walk down any street in the metro area and hear mothers hollering at their teenage kids, “Turn down that noise!” The mothers wondered why the radio was playing Jerry Lee Lewis instead of Patti Page. Radio personality with over 5 decades on the air in Baltimore including 12 years during the glory years of WCAO, then stints with WAYE, WITH, WMAR-FM. Alan also wrote music and/or produced records by local groups including Brenda & the Sentries (Bee Records), Donna Marie (Decca), Jimmy Jordan (20th Fox), The Tangiers & The Jetsons Band. He also wrote the "Run Right to Reads" commercial as recorded by Froggy & the Gremlins. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Chap One | Sam McNulty | Keeping music alive has been given new meaning - Despite the unfortunate passing of the truly gifted, multi-talented, producer and emcee - Sam McNulty aka Chap One, we are very lucky to have his music available for us to enjoy. Chris McNulty Sam’s mother is keeping her sons memory and music alive by releasing and promoting his music. Samuel McNulty aka Chap One was born in Sydney, Australia in 1981. In 1988, at age 7, he traveled with his mother to NYC and was raised in NYC through 1999. He returned to Australia at age 19, traveling back and forth between Melbourne and NYC throughout his life. Although Chap One's music clearly has its roots firmly planted in the hip hop genre, he was introduced to many different styles of music as a child growing up between cultures and across borders. His musical lineage was stronger than most, having a mother, father and step father as accomplished, internationally recognized, jazz musicians. As a result, Chap One had musical finesse running through his veins. Growing up surrounded by jazz legends, in the birth place of Hip Hop culture, he re-defined the boundaries of Hip Hop, Jazz, and RnB to masterfully craft a hybrid style reflective of his roots, and uniquely his own. “Sam had a vision for the world. It speaks powerfully through his music, his lyric, his melody, his rap, his poetry. It was louder than the voice he spoke with off the band stand because although his spirit was powerful and magnetic, he was also the softest, gentlest, most compassionate spirit I ever met in my entire life.” Chris McNulty states. “Stanger Frequencies” is a representation of Chap One and his soul. Musically it is the epitome of R&B, and jazz inspired hip-hop that is groovy and catchy enough for any music fan to embrace. However, it’s also authentically live sounding and improvisational for any jazz-heavy folks to dig as well. Lyrically, Sam flows deliciously through metaphorical “interpretations of life,” often expressing his discontent, dropping knowledge on the injustice in the world, but always through a positive lens. It’s just pure, healthy, beautiful music for all. To date Chris McNulty has released 3 albums of Chap Ones music with Strange Frequencies being largely funded by generous donors who made the mastering, artwork, and pressing of the physical copies. Be sure that there's a lot more to come and a lot more to say, from artists, jazz musicians, friends and colleagues, who worked, knew and loved Sam - The Chappy - Chap One. | Search | Add | 3 | Geoff Healey | Geoff Healey | Singer/keyboardist/songwriter Geoff Healey was born in Queensland, Australia and began his music career at the age of 18, at the now-legendary Javeen-bah folk club in Nerang. He worked as a professional actor in film, stage and television before taking up music full-time in 1987, having spent several years as a newspaper and radio journalist on the Gold Coast and in Melbourne. Geoff traveled to the US in 1990, spending three months songwriting in Nashville before heading to London and a series of dates in Europe. He returned to Australia in 1993 to finish work on his first independent CD album, 'The Path', then to Germany for sessions with producer Rolf Wetzel, resulting in the albums 'Wait For Me' and 'No-Man’s Land'. In 1996 he released his fourth album, 'Geoff Healey's Love In A Suit' in Australia before relocating to Germany in 1998. Seven years of touring followed, culminated in the 2005 CD, 'Canvas Of My Memory'. Geoff says his songwriting inspirations are many, and that he tries to not get stuck in just one genre or writing style. “I listen to everything; And If there's a bit of my story in a song, it's only going to be a bit. I'm more inspired by what I see and hear, and who I meet. I love creating a story or a feeling, or setting up an image - and then letting people read their own stuff into it”. Geoff's new album, 'Wherever We Go, There We Are' was released in June 2020. |

His music is characterized by its hard-hitting rhythms and psychedelic soundscapes and can be considered as a reflection of his creative vision and his approach in producing, which he sums up with: "I want to produce music I'd like to dance to myself." The tracks often feature elements of hip hop and psychedelic trance, which gives them a unique edge while he is always exploring new worlds of sound and trying to push his boundaries. His love for many different styles of music is the reason to release under a multitude of aliasses (some are:vicioustrax, vlrk, vctr, louis kay, Papy Louis, p0lytox). In all the years producing, he has honed his craft and developed a unique style that has won him a following among a small loyal circle of technoheads from his hometown Berlin. - For booking requests please write an e-mail to: bookingsvctracks@gmail.com |
