Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Whitey On The Moon UK | Members: Daniel Rossen and Fred Nicolaus What started as a joke between New York University roommates became sample-based Whitey On The Moon UK, then grew into the more instrumental sound of Department Of Eagles. As freshmen, Daniel and Fred were assigned to be roommates. Instead of spending as much time on school or social activities, they opted to play with pirated sound editing software to create a fun sample-heavy beat-driven CD for friends in their dorm. They called themselves Whitey On The Moon, selecting the personal pseudonyms "Iron Chrysalis" and "Butterfly Emerging." Unintentionally, a copy of the project was given to friend-of-a-friend Joseph Finlaw, who was at the time starting Isota Records. He wanted to put some of the tracks on a 7" single. For those releases, the name was changed to "Whitey on the Moon UK" partially as a joke and partially to avoid conflict with another band that had already laid claim to "Whitey on the Moon." Whitey On The Moon UK was the only group to release two 7"s for now-defunct Isota Record's Singles Club. Afterwords, the duo changed their name to Department Of Eagles, as the other Whitey On The Moon wasn't satisfied that the addition of "UK" differentiated the bands enough.

A menace. A villain with bad blood and head full of dangerous concepts. If sighted please report him to your nearest community officer (fake jake) and don’t worry about the consequences of grassing. You’ll be doing us all a service. Really tho… |

Search | Add | 2 | BHPL | BPHL began its life in late 2019 as a means to make music in the restrictive environment of a global pandemic. With both members having a history of playing in various hardcore and metal bands, as well as having a shared interest in dark electronic music, the idea of forming a new project was born. With influences ranging from DAF to Swans, and the name BHPL referring to a tragic gas leak disaster in India, the duo locked itself into a room full of synthesizers to create a new soundtrack to listen to while watching the world slowly turn into a cesspool of depravity.

Search | Add | 2 | Late Lights | LATE LIGHTS is the “talk rock” duo of Chris Locke and Rick Libby. The guys met 20 years ago at Keene State College when Rick asked Chris where the hell he bought his Minor Threat t-shirt. Rick was a guitarist in such classic hardcore bands as Last Breath and Spoke and eventually went on to become a pharmacist. He lives in Montpelier, Vermont. Chris received his MFA from Goddard College and has taught creative writing at both high schools and colleges for over 16 years. He’s published a bunch of books, many of them poetry—in fact, his most recent collection is ORDINARY GODS (Salmon, Ireland—2017). Chris currently lives in the Adirondacks even though he hates the winter. Go figure. Rick and Chris still share an affinity for the 80’s D.C. music scene.

Search | Add | 2 | CoolWind | Marc Lobato | CoolWind is the artistic name that Marc LP uses to present his musical works from Catalonia (Spain). He began to be interested in composition in 1993 (when he was 12 years old). Although he had no musical studies, he started learning some music basics in a completely self-taught way. In January, 2000 Marc LP presented his facet of radio DJ in a radio show called Get Ready!, weekly on RVRadio (a local broadcasting station) for two years and a half. In 2002 he won the Official Night People Remix Competition, brought by Tanga Records & Swing Flaix (David Gausa & Xavi Jaso) from Flaix FM, being the first commercially published work of the artist. At late 2003 Neuronium Records was interested in the artist's music and quickly they signed a contract with CoolWind to release globally his first album, Sound Exploration. The next studio album of the artist is planned for mid-2006. |

Search | Add | 2 | Asklepeion | Asklepeion is a Melodic Black Metal with a 90’s but also a modern vibe from Tilburg (The Netherlands). The band was formed in 2021 by Thijs (Welmoed, Misanthropia) and Robster (ex-Southern Werewolf Farm). William (FAAL, Spina Bifida, 666 Shades of Shit, ex-Foretold, ex-Domestic Violence) joined them on the project. The Asklepeion project was born in the beginning of 2021 when Thijs and Robster had the idea to start a musical project to keep themselves busy during the pandemic. They write some songs, record them at home and release an EP. Both fans of 90’s (melodic) Black Metal, the songwriting quickly went that way and the decision was made to stick with it and make an album full of Melodic Black Metal with a 90’s but also a modern vibe.
