Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Piggy In The Middle | Band members were: Björn Yttling, keyboardist Gustaf Hielm, guitar Jerker Eklund bassist Peter Morén sings and plays guitar Erik Hammarström, drummer They met when they all studied music in Västerås. For a while, the members were scattered in Piteå, Bollnäs, Västerås, Svalöv and Skurup, Later the band was based in Stockholm, except Erik Hammarström who lives in Malmö. Apart from the original bassist Johan Bengtsson from Piteå, who was replaced, the lineup has been stable since they formed in January 1993. A couple of months after forming they won a music competition where the prize was one day in the studio at Radio Västmanland. The result was the demo "… The Cat & The Fiddle", which in turn resulted in a gig at the Hultsfred Festival 1993. Unfortunately, someone stole their cords, pedals and other effects in their tent, so the concert on the Stora Dansbanan did not turn out as expected. In the spring of 1994, they recorded and mixed ten songs in three days. They were released as two demo cassettes, "Nicely Received In Germany" and "Kana Kapila", both reviewed in Sound Affects. In the summer of 1995, Piggy In The Middle released a four-song CD-EP, "Soap Operas", which was reviewed in Sound Affects # 28. And in the autumn of 1995 they signed a record contract with Solna-based Rainbow Music (MD) and released the debut album "Images And Distorted Facts", inspired by Bob Dylan's "Idiot Wind". All songs except one are taken from the EP and the two latest demo cassettes, and are very loyal to the originals. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Schismatique Destruction | Schismatique Destruction were a french trio who was active from 1996 to 2000. The band was formed by three people who were making some noisy minimal dark wave songs. Lyrics are very dark and deeply depressed with a lot of black humour. Members were Guillaume and Smoothy, the singer and the keyboardist both previously in Le M, a New Wave duo and Monsieur Jean-Pierre on guitar who also do music under the alias Kalachnikov since the early 90s. Monsieur Jean-Pierre and GM met during a training session for unemployed artists. The band follow a concept called the Blitz : The music is principally improvised when lyrics are written in a very short time. It's a concept already used by GM and Smoothy when they were drawing together and in their previous band. They released only one tape in 1997 distributed by KAP, the Kalachnikov tape label at the time and songs in a compilation "At home with you" also by KAP. They've split two times. At the end the project SD become Section Morne who follows an other dogma. The sound of Section Morne is really repetitive with heavy bass and guitars riff and deep lyrics. The band definitely stop in 2001. A repress of the first album, digitaly remastered was done by Fougère Cassette in november 2013. The second one was never released it was issued by Fougère cassette in late 2014. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Margento | Margento is a crucible of arts, a reunion of poetry, painting and music whish stem out of each other, nurture, inspire each other. Although it was poet Chris Tanasescu who started this project, Margento is not just an illustration of or an accompaniment to his works (and days). Even if sometimes the poems, the paintings and the songs are conceived in solitude and sometimes they are brought forth on stage – they always communicate, like some capillary vessels. Without aiming at regaining any ideal or original unity of all arts, Margento is a lively intertwining, a windy crossroads of various ways of expression and mostly and foremost an open complete way of dwelling together in the same experience, a recovery and awakening of the self through the other. Unswerving dedication – and the en-stasy of meditation and illumination comes along with the ec-stasy of communion and of rhythmical conjunction. No theory or ideology are involved, except that of free vivid expression and of the alchemy of artistic identities. Margento is a single body with several souls who see the world through each other. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Randy Bickford | Brice Randall Bickford | It’s been a decade since Brice Randall Bickford began performing under the name “The Strugglers.” In this time, he has released five albums, toured the world, and earned a reputation as a master of subtle, narrative songwriting. Bickford's dense, poetic lyrics imbue his compositions with an enduring vitality, rewarding the listener with additional layers of meaning upon each successive listen. One might expect the transition to “solo artist” to find Bickford turning further inward, pursuing more confessional writing. While he now acknowledges his project as the work of a solitary songwriter, Bickford has instead chosen to broaden the focus, examining the external world and the thoughts and experiences of characters other than himself—particularly women. But these are not relationship songs. Rather they are portraits of female personae on a direct, post-romantic level. |

He went on to play drums with Redex before switching to bass in such acts as Scarecrow (3 tracks are available on 2012 release "Dark New York (Gotham City's Post Punk, Goth, & Deathrock Bands 1983-1988) Vol. 1", infamous NYC trashrock band Chop Shop with Joe Truck, and a short stint in the briefly-reformed HiSheriffs of Blue. That led him to more of an emphasis on Delta Blues and slide guitar, fronting shortlived Punk/Delta hybrid Love In Vein with Eddie Stern (Chop Shop), Jerry Williams (Th' Cigaretz, 171-A Studio) and Scott Jarvis (Cigz, Workdogs, etc.). Next was blues/punk/rock hybrid The Hellhounds, and occasional gigs with the Workdogs (one captured here: https://workdogs.bandcamp.com/track/the-theme-2), plus an appearance on their 1993 release "Roberta" on lap steel (available on Spotify). After a hiatus of a dozen years, he recently resurfaced for a few Hellhounds reunion gigs, then spent just under a year in Brooklyn-based HonkyTonk/Alt-Country outfit Aron Blue and The Bootleggers, whose eponymous record he appears on, playing lead and slide on all tracks, though uncredited. With a prolific career lasting over 20 years, Nijinska came to international stardom with [a=Serge Diaghilev]'s [a=Ballets Russes], more engaged as a choreographer and stage producer since the 1920s. She toured extensively in the UK, Europe, and Northern and South Americas between 1925 and 1934, collaborating with notable impresarios, directors, and theaters, such as [l=Teatro Colón], Opéra Russe à Paris, [a=Ballet Russe De Monte Carlo], [a=Anton Dolin] and Alicia Markova's "London Festival Ballet," the [l=Hollywood Bowl], Jacob's Pillow, [a=Max Reinhardt], and [a=Le Marquis De Cuevas], and ran two ballet companies in Paris, Ballets Nijinska (1931) and Théâtre de la Danse Nijinska (1932–34). Bronislava Nijinska immigrated to the United States in 1939 and naturalized as a US citizen in 1949. She continued working as a choreographer and artistic director, dedicating most of her time to teaching. Name variations: Branislava Nižynskaja, Bronislava Fominichna Nijinskaya, B. Fominitshna Nizhinskaya, Бронислава Фоминична Нижинская, Браніслава Ніжынская. Born in Minsk, Russian Empire (now Belarus), Bronislava was the third child of touring Polish dancers; all children were baptized in Warsaw and grew up in Poland. Her elder brother, [a=Vaslav Nijinsky] (1889—1950), also became a renowned ballet dancer and choreographer. Broni and Vaslav took initial training from their parents, who ran a full-time dance studio for adults and children. Circa 1900, nine-year-old Bronislava began taking lessons with a famous Italian pedagogue [a=Enrico Cecchetti]. Following Vaslav's footsteps, Nijinska attended the Imperial Ballet School in Saint Petersburg, graduating with honors in 1908. The same year, Bronislava made her stage debut with Mariinsky Ballet in [a=Michel Fokine]'s Les Sylphides. Broni Nijinska joined [a=Ballets Russes] company in 1910, debuting in Fokine's Carnaval production, with the "Papillon" role specifically written for her. Bronislava assisted Vaslav Nijinsky with his controversial L'Après-midi d'un faune choreography, which premiered at Théâtre du Châtelet in May 1912. The following year, Broni again aided her brother with equally contentious [a=Igor Stravinsky]'s Rite of Spring, which saw unprecedented public unrest during the premiere (mostly on behalf of provocative costumes and Nijinsky's extremely unconventional choreography). Bronislava Nijinska quit Ballets Russes after discovering her pregnancy. In 1914, she joined a short-lived Saison Nijinsky company established by her brother Vaslav and based at the London Palace Theatre. Bronislava returned to Russia with her husband the following year, living in Saint Petersburg and Kiyv; Nijinska split her time between dancing and working independently to design and stage her first choreographical productions. After the 1917 revolutions, life in Russia became too unpredictable and tumultuous, and Bronislava Nijinska expatriated in 1921. She reunited with Ballets Russes, appointed by Diaghilew as a choreographer. Nijinska created several cutting-edge and critically acclaimed ballets over the next four years, most notably Stravinsky's Les noces. |

Keith Beck’s Zigman Bird fearlessly switches between a full-piece rock’n’roll band and an exciting acoustic act, mixing catchy hooks, melodies and lyrics. The name Zigman Bird came to me while I was sitting on the toilet. There was a junkyard by my house and the owner, Sigman Byrd, used to shoot kids with a salt gun if they wandered onto his property. He got a few of us but I survived and got a band name out of it.

| Search | Add | 3 | Thee Creepfreaks | Thee Creepfreaks are a psychobilly trio from London, combining up-tempo drumbeats, loud dirty guitar and demonic vocals. In the summer of 2012 Peter (ex-Nocturnal Teds/ Miniskirt Blues) dusted off his rockin’ guitar and called double bass player Anthony and they started starting rehearsing and stringing together a few tracks and after a few different drummers they found the bone rattling beats of Jeremy (Devil Crockett). After Anthony left the country we have hooked up with our new bass player Ash and are roaring and ready to go again…. Since their first gig at The Klub in Camden, they’ve been playing regularly in London supporting bands like Mad Sin, Tall Boys, Demented are Go and many others. With a love of horror, armed with macabre lyrics and a view of the world in demise, these psycho love children of Lemmy and Elvis will get the pit going and have you howling at the moon until the early morning light. | |

The albums themes were inspired by The Carpathian Forest of Wallachia, and was entirely recorded under the full moon, being recorded throughout the full moons of thee months during the Winter of 1998/1999. This would be their full-length debut and also their final release. From then on, the band began to perform in clubs in the capital and in the main places of the countryside, conquering a large number of admirers. The next step was the recording of the album "Nossa Canção", released in 1992, with the song "Minha Lady" as its single, a Brazilian Portuguese version of "You're a Woman" by Appledat Hendrix Van Halen, which was immediately accepted by listeners. With these hits, concerts began to take place in many cities of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.

| Search | Add | 3 | Marshmallow Soup Group | Canadian pop psych band formed in the summer of 1967 in Kingston, Ontario. They soon moved to Ottawa to sign with manager [a2107040]. Members were John Lemmon (organ, vocals), Wayne Sweet (lead guitar, vocals), Ron "Smack" Smith (bass, vocals), and Tim Cottini (drums). Tim Eaton joined the group later as lead singer in early 1969 before they started recording, first with radio jingles for the United Way charities and the Canada Welfare Council. Their popularity with radio listeners led to signing with [l71736]'s nascent [l335147] in late 1969. Marshmallow Soup Group had only one hit record, "I Love Candy" penned by Eaton, in 1969. The record was released in November to coincide with their trip to Lima, Peru where they performed at the International Trade Fair as Goodwill Ambassadors of Canada for the Federal Department of Trade and Commerce. They also toured Japan, Mexico, Hawaii and the US in that role. They released a follow-up single in 1970 that did not do as well on the charts in Canada, and did not break internationally as "I Love Candy" had done. After the demise of the band, Eaton embarked on a solo career in the summer of 1971 and formed his own backing band called Timothy. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Willie Bovain | Keyboardist Willie Bovain was born in 1944 in San Diego, California. He began playing the piano and organ at the age of 9. His first training was in his father's church, Reverend John Bovain. At the age of 21, he plays in clubs with his trio and is very successful everywhere he plays. Chuck Johnson, General Manager of Rhythm & Blues' first local radio station "XEGM" and his "Soul 95" program in San Diego, discovered Willie Bovain on his shows. In 1969, for Bovain's only album, Chuck Johnson co-wrote several songs with Willie, and composed the excellent "Love Walk", the album also included a beautiful version of "Hurt So Bad". Aside from his only album, Willie Bovain recorded two singles, one on Radio City RC-1000: Willie Bovain Trio "Soul In The Morning / Carnival Of Soul" and another on Soul City SC-1000: Willie Bovain And The Rocks "Sippin ' Soul "which is a kind of" Hurt So Bad "revisited, coupled with a title that appears on the album" Patricia's Delight ". Both labels seem related because Radio City is published by Soul City Pub. Co. | |
