Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | The Handmedowns | The Handmedown formed at the end of 1986, playing the Adelaide underground seen with other bands such as the Dust Collection, Mad Turks, Screaming Believers, etc The initial line-up was Trevor Comley on vocals & lead Guitar, Tony Dyer on vocals & rhythm Guitar, Dave Gray on bass and Jason Kilic on drums. Later in 1987 the band recorded a 6 track demo, 5 Comley tracks and 1 Dyer track. Shortly after mixing the demo Dave Gray (later to form Rocket Science) was replaced by Rohan Belton (previously of the Verge, Dust Collection, Garden Path) on bass and vocals. Prior to the final mix, Rohan added some addition vocals to a couple of tracks. These 6 tracks were later released in 2004 on Smashed Records CD - Free Set of Steak Knives, as well as the track Goodbye (Comley) being release on a compilation EP by Swedish magazine Sound Affects (final editional) in 1998. In late 1987 Tony Dyer left the band, and the 3 remaining members went on to record 6 new tracks for the EP "Back to Yourself" released on Greasy Pop Records (88). The band continued to play the Adelaide underground seen, eventually recruiting Scott Allan (also of the Dust Collection) on vocals & rhythm Guitar. The band dispanded in mid 1989. Comley, Dyer and Kilic later reformed as the Adelaide 3 piece power pop band SWERVE, which went on to release the 9 track "SWERVE" tape in 94, the 6 track CD "Let Me Out" in early 97 and a unrelease 4 track demo in 1998. Dyer then went on to join the Stoneage Hearts in 2012, Comley went on to play with the Sack with Allen, and in 2014 joined up with Allen once again for another music project. Belton started up the record label "Smashed Records" in the early 2000's, and played in various other bands including the Mynd Gardeners and the Dust Collection. Dave Gray went on to play in Melbourne band the Electric Guitars and the Freeloader. In 2012 Jason Kilic became the president of the SANFL football club "Sturt", in Adelaide.

Reviewing their first album "To Hell With Youth & Beauty", fRoots magazine commented: "The Razorbills are quirky and brassy enough to stand on their own. Idiosyncracy a go go", and R2 magazine, giving it 4 stars, "the sound is infused with an electric energy and unpredictable quirkiness which steers well clear of the overly praised Mumfords' territory". A third disc, a six-track EP "Festivals" was released in 2019. 2012 line-up: Alan McClure, Michelle McClure, Harry Thomson, Richard Ipaint, Jon Noad 2013-15 line-up: Alan McClure, Michelle McClure, Harry Thomson, Jon Noad, Iain McLeod 2015-16 line-up: Alan McClure, Michelle McClure, Harry Thomson, Jon Noad, Rebecca Redden 2016-present: Michelle McClure, Harry Thomson, Jon Noad, Rebecca Redden |

Search | Add | 3 | Rear Gunners | The Rear Gunners was a pseudonym used by the relatively obscure Brighton music hall punk fusion band [a=the Fish Brothers] when they were in Germany starring in an obscure film called Doppelpack and playing with [a=Attila the Stockbroker]. Given the credited stage names like "Todger McSmash" and the totally over the top hooligan lyrics of the b-side, there's an element of humour to this release but it still lives up to Oi!'s intended spirit of having a laugh and having a say. In little over four minutes these guys certainly speak their minds succinctly, and the fast paced musical backing is memorable. A rather forgotten gem.

We released two EPs, which received quite a lot of air play in the Boston area. We even had a top 20 hit on college radio across the country. We were in the midst of recording our third album when the band broke up. One of my favorite cuts from those final sessions was a song called One Step Forward, which was never released. I especially love the background vocals sung by Rosemary St George. An amazing talent who has gone on to have a great music career on her own. This song is about having the courage to heal ourselves in order to heal the world – one step at a time…." - Forrest Hill

Search | Add | 3 | Alexis Mazzoleni | Hello Rockin’ Friends When Thierry Los, the producer of this record, asked me to write these liner notes, I accepted because it was an honor for me to have taken part in this adventure with my musician friends Philippe Almosnino, Fabrice Lombardo and Alain Chenneviere. This record contains covers of songs by Elvis Presley as well as Country guitar works reminiscent of Chet Atkins, everything recorded by Thierry Los on analog gear at Studio Le Val in Paris western suburbs on May 9th and 10th 2000. Just another rock guitar record ? Perhaps, but here’s the deal : this record has a story. It was a project devised by an illustrious client who shook up the history of popular music : Mr Scotty Moore ! Believe or not, the “King” Elvis Presley’s lead guitar player asked French musicians to record this demo tape with a solo album in mind. Even though this album was never released, at least we take pride in the fact that we were selected to see it though by “the guitar that changed the world” himself. While listening to these sessions, I am reminded of the mood that took over us then, both overwhelmed by the weight of the project and the fun we had doing it, as we were well aware we were doing some really special work and about to make a record with Scotty Moore, Elvis’s guitar player ! The Scotty Moore Project linked Elvis, Country guitar works and Jazz through covers of songs played in an American 1950’s state of mind and sound. “I’ll never stand in your way” harkens to the Sun Studio sound, innovated by Scotty Moore and Bill Black, coming through both my playing and Fabrice’s double bass. Our version of “Young and Beautiful” is highlighted by our Jazz approach. “City By Night” and “Wonderful World”, both titles from 1960’s Elvis films soundtracks, border on Easy Listening. Also included are covers of “Memphis Blues” and “ One Man Boogie”, both songs recorded initially by Chet Atkins and that I had originally performed live with my band the night I met DJ Fontana and Scotty Moore. Furthermore, three original songs that I wrote are featured, recorded in those lovely days of May as well. Now it is time for you to discover this colorful set list. By releasing these sessions, we would like to pay tribute to the genius of Scotty Moore, as well as to Elvis Presley and Chet Atkins. I would also thank Elvis My Happiness and Jean-Marie Pouzenc. Have fun listening to this. Sincerely Yours, Alex Mazzoleni Paris, on the May 9th 2017

Search | Add | 3 | FLIP 22 | Taunton, MA Rap Metal Band. In February of 1999 sounds from the 22nd cypher began to emerge from five experienced musicians who are currently redefining the combination of rock and hip-hop. A tribe was formed and its members include: J-Maze, Matty, Shane V., D.C. and Ross One. Former Eastcide bass player, Shane V., sought out hip-hop recording artist and former Head Check vocalist J-Maze. It was evident that his lyrical skills and melodic flow stylings would shine behind the individual musical talents of Shane, as well as former Head Check members, Matty, D.C., and Ross One. Through non-stop practice and dedication, the newly formed band found themselves writing and recording a three song promotional CD in a remarkable three weeks. When the disc was released it successfully joined the local rock and hip-hop scene. In addition to the positive reaction from Flip 22's growing fan base, all five hundred copies were sold in less time than it took to record it. As the band relentlessly pushed forward they caught the attention of several local radio programs. Flip earned the opportunity to perform for 107.3 WAAF's Real Rock T.V. Shortly after, Flip 22 released the highly anticipated full-length album Anotha Level, out on Linoleum Records. The album "delivers a dynamic and aggressive 10-track trip on a debut that defies categorization and piques interest at every turn," (Boston Herald, Nov 2, 2001 pg s22). Now that Anotha Level has been released and is on its way up, Flip 22 will head back to the studio in late December to begin work on their follow-up album, Northern Lights. The band is currently tearing up all of New England and receiving exceptional reviews from an extremely diversified audience.

Randolph - Lead Vocals Aaron Blacker - Vocals, Guitar, Keys Dave Osmalov - Lead Guitar, Keys J Granberg - Bass Guitar Joey Banks - Drums, Programming We are Know Boundaries, a 6 piece band hailing fom Madison, WI, USA. We focus on energy in our music along with well delivered Hiphop styled lyrics with a rock edge (we call it ULTRA ROCK HIPHOP). We have our own sound but we share your problems. If you want the whole story, here\'s our official Bio: In a culture that seems all too content to ignore the atrocities, injustices, and contradictions of the world, Madison, Wisconsin’s KNOW BOUNDARIES assaults the ears of listeners and offers them the opportunity to “eat the red pill” and truly see the reality of the world around them. By combining the mediums of Hiphop and rock into an organic, modern, tour-de-force, KNOW BOUNDARIES takes listeners on a musical ride exposing them to a wide variety of musical and intellectual influences. Fusing the “boom-bap” of THE ROOTS, the sonic freedom of The Mars Volta, the bombastic energy of ONYX, the intellectual curiosity of Saul Williams, the rawness of Rage Against The Machine, and the fluid creativity of Jack Kerouac, KNOW BOUNDARIES creates a distinctly unique, yet completely accessible sound that is sure to ‘maraud for ears’ at an astonishing rate. Since forming only a few years ago, response to KNOW BOUNDARIES has been immediate, and their resume abounds with awards and accolades. In only a short time, they have garnered national label interest, received corporate sponsorship through Budweiser’s “True Music” program, showcased at numerous industry conferences, received the Madison Area Music Award for both Best Hiphop Group or Artist of 2004, & Madison’s Best Hiphop/Urban Song for "the slingblade", and opened up for nationally touring groups such as THE ROOTS, the Black Eyed Peas, Cypress Hill, the Gin Blossoms, Sound Tribe Sector Nine, 3 Days Grace, Caroline Spine, Buckcherry, Fastball, & Something Corporate. Unlike many genre-blending groups, KNOW BOUNDARIES gets props from both Hiphop and rock camps. The six members of the band are well-educated, articulate musicians that bring their own individual vibes to the table resulting in the one-of-a-kind KNOW BOUNDARIES sound. Think Muse meets Blackalicious, Mars Volta meets Little Brother, Radiohead meets Outkast, and Nine Inch Nails meet THE ROOTS. If you're into poetry, politics, & music, KNOW BOUNDARIES will more than satisfy. |

Search | Add | 3 | 大凶風呂敷 | 大凶風呂敷 | 大凶風呂敷 (‘daiKYo,furo shIKI) is a brainbending collaboration between Tamio Shiraishi and Cammisa Buerhaus that fuses handmade sound, free noise, and guttural blooms of tone poetry. Buerhaus plays her self built wood organ, half sculpture, half hallucinatory drone machine. Actress, label head, and artist, she approaches music and performance hermeneutically. Shirashi was a central figure in the Club Minor scene in Japan, jammed in Taco and A-Musik, helped form Fushitsusha, and has released numerous works of site specific saxophone playing. His style is some of the most atom splitting minimalism to ever locate your body in space. Thus, the sound of 大凶風呂敷 is a tense drama whose nerve chilling lines literally encodes the space for terrifying truths to appear all around you. Past players include K-Mical-Mico, Keith Connolly, Tara Fenamore, Greem Jellyfish, SADAF, Gozo Yoshimasu, Michiru Inoue. |

Search | Add | 3 | The Eye-Full Tower | Paul Dreyfuss/Johnny Cymbal | Paul Dreyfuss sings lead on Carol Cartoon with Johnny Cymbal singing the harmony and the verse. Paul Dreyfuss sings the flip side alone. Paul Dreyfuss was managed by Johnny Nash 1965-1966 and recorded on Joda but nothing was released. His only release was this record which was written by Johnny Cymbal. After it was released Paul put a group together (Joe Nesor, bass and Jimmy Fracassi, lead guitar, unknown drummer). Johnny Cymbal did not appear with the group although he wrote Carol Cartoon and named the group The Eye-Full Tower. The difference between J. Cymbal's voice and P. Dreyfuss's is very noticeable. The vocals were recorded 3/7/1967 in Bell Sound Studio. The original record has the group called Dreyfus & Company on the label but the deal was made using the name The Eye-Full Tower. It was released on SSS International in the U.S. and on Polydor in the U.K. |
