Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Nimal Mendis | Nimal Rupert Arthedeva Mendis | Nimal Mendis (born 29 March 1934, Colombo, Ceylon - died 2015, Malabe, Colombo, Sri Lanka) was a Sri Lankan singer and songwriter, and was one of a handful of Sri Lankan musicians to appear on the BBC television programme [i]Top of the Pops[/i] (1968). The following profile was authored by Nimal Mendis: My first break in England came when my song “Kiss Kiss Kiss” was sung by Mary Marshall. The recording was handled by Dennis Preston who later was to become the father of the traditional Jazz revival in the UK. It was released on Columbia. I have 22 songs published in Britain and have written music for films in Sri Lanka. “Kandyan Dance” an instrumental was my second piece in the West. Recorded by Friedel Berlipp and his Orchestra in Germany it went on to be No 2 on Radio Luxembourg. It was also released in the States. I have written the background score and songs for eleven Sri Lankan films. ”Films and Filming“ magazine in the UK says of my score for Lester James Peries’ film “Godking”: “score featuring such disparate styles as a baroque fugue and souped-up seventies orchestration has an ultimately moving theme at its heart“. At present my song “Girls” translated by Duminda Allehendra and sung by Amila Sandaruwan with a video production done by the students of the Digital Film Institute of Sri Lanka has been uploaded on Youtube. Its the first Sinhala Blues song and has been having rave reviews . The link to it is: [see Web Links] “Black Pearls & Green Diamonds” has eight of my songs on an LP for Decca by “One Two and Three” a folk group in Britain. I appeared with my singing partner Sandra Edema in 1968 as guest artists with my song “Feel like a Clown” on “Top of the Pops” in London and “Beat Club” in Germany that year. Record Producer Ray Horricks says this on the sleeve of the “Black Pearls and Green Diamonds” LP: “Nimal’s work combines an awareness of western melody and harmony with great originality in his story ideas, while there is a very exotic Eastern flavour about his choice of words. When it came to making this album I found myself preferring his numbers to the many better known folk items the three singers have in their repertoire". The artist left the following notes in Web Links: [for the youtube link] At present my song: “Girls” - the first blues song in Sinhala sung by Amila Sandaruwan and translated by Duminda Allehendra. The video was produced by the students of the Digital Film Institute of Sri Lanka [for the itunes link] There are 19 songs of mine in an album "A Songwriters Diary" Vol 2 on Itunes. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Rose Jets | Punk band from Nagoya City, Aichi, Japan. Active from 1982 to 1985. All band members were high school kids(16 years old) when they recorded for the first and the only self-released EP in 1984, and they featured dual vocals by twin brothers! They had a pretty big fan base during the active years, played shows with other local punk bands such as The Star Club, Oxydoll(Tatsuya Nakamura's old band), The Genbaku Onanies, SA(Original), Rocka Rolla, etc. There was a release plan for Rose Jets’ first album by Captain Records when the label had just started in 1985 but that never happened because the band broke up. They did manage to play the now-legendary “Sukiyo!! Captain” free outdoor concert in front of 8,000 audiences at the Shinjuku station square with Gastunk, Cobra, The Willard, Kyahh→, Uchoten and Papaya Paranoia, which was a promotional event held to celebrate the launch of Captain Records on August 18th, 1985. The Rose Jets frontmen and brotmhers Akihiro Kondo and Hiroyuki Kondo are currently active as a reggae duo [a=Ackee & Saltfish]. In 1998 during the A&S concert at the Diamond Hall in Nagoya, Rose Jets did a one-time only reunion show where they performed their classic punk tune "In The History" featuring original members. Also this song was recorded in studio around the same time and included on one of A&S's albums as a Rose Jets bonus track in 1998. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Rymanowski Brothers Polka Orchestra | The Rymanowski Brothers Orchestra is renowned in the capital district of New York State. Their legacy started in late 1947 in Cohoes, NY by brothers John & Alex and has sustained continuance to the present day. This distinction has given them the title of the capital district’s most favorite, longest running, Polish-American polka band. In addition, undoubtedly, one of the longest running bands in the nation. The band expanded to an eight and nine piece orchestra in 1949. During the late 1940’s and through the 1950’s they recorded on the Lamb, Decca and Stella record labels. In the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, John’s sons, Dennis & Jerry joined the band at which time was scaled down to a five and six piece group. In 1974 the band recorded an LP entitled, “We Believe In Polkas” their last recording was in 1981. Their newest recording, “It's About Time” was released in 2010 and was an immediate hit. With the CD hard to keep in stock, the demand is just overwhelming. Currently it is being aired on all Polish-American programs nationwide as well on all the internet stations. The group, not only plays the best in polka music, but have long been known to exhibit the versatility to play a wide variety of American pop and American standards to please just about everyone. | |

Signed to the International Artists (IA) label in 1968 for which he recorded an album: Mother’s Milk. But the label folded before it was issued, and the recording was lost (hence it sometimes being called Lost Mother's Milk). Advocacy for African Music and Its Globalization: He actively supported the rollouts of major African artists like Burna Boy (involved with projects like African Giant), Wizkid (involved with projects like Made In Lagos), Lojay, Rema, and Tyla, helping to push their music onto global playlists and gain international traction. Additionally, he supported Beyoncé, Diplo, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Major Lazer, and countless other mainstream pop artists who were interested in releasing projects inspired by African music cultures. Influence on Grammy Awards: As a co-founder of No Wahala, he played a crucial role in advocating for and contributing to the establishment of the Best African Music Performance and Best Global Album categories, aiming to create a more inclusive environment for African music within The Recording Academy. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Sonz Of Sunz | Having a unique talent to spit poetry through the microphone to express their experiences, thoughts and take on life, the Filipino-Canadian group SONZ OF SUNZ pride themselves as being part of the growing Hip-Hop culture. The diverse duo, composed of M.I.C. ILL. and Chief Chucka's, aims to bring forth a new surge of music with positive messages while keeping Hip Hop as it was in the golden era…fun. Sonz of Sunz proves to be the epitome of the continuing growth of Hip Hop, demonstrating that the culture has stretched to all corners of the world. They provide a balance of positive urban Canadian upbringing as well as a respectful reflection of their cultural backgrounds. Constantly in the studio developing and producing music, the Mic Reach Records artists have also made their presence known by performing at various local Van City venues including opening for acts such as legendary Canadian rap pioneer Maestro Fresh Wes and Wu-Tang member Raekwon. Formerly a group of three, Sonz of Sunz formed when Filipino rappers, M.I.C. ILL and Chief Chucka, teamed up with Japanese MC, Mr. Rice, after meeting and working together at a Vancouver restaurant during the late 90's. After years of working together as a trio and shortly after releasing their debut album, “The New Breed” in June 2004, Mr. Rice made the hard decision to leave the group and pursue other interest. After careful introspection at the loss of their partner in rhyme, M.I.C. ILL and Chief Chucka made the decision to carry on with the group name and continue spreading their message through music. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Plexigo | Lovis Einsmann | Label: Crystallin Music / Unterholz / PsyArmy Located: Wiesbaden, Hessen - Germany Style: Forest / Psytrance / Twilight / Night Psy / Goa Trance / Psygressive / Minimal Dark Progressive Info & Biography: ENGLISH: Plexigo is the name of the psychedelic music project by Lovis Einsmann from Wiesbaden, Germany. Since 2009 Plexigo is leashed by the driving basslines and enlightning melodies of Goa Trance and Psytrance. After discovering the synapse twisting sound frequencies of a DJ-Set mixed by the old Goa stager “Stefan Ludley”, well known in the Rhein-Main area, he was instantly addicted to this kind of music. Stefan helped him to get a connection to the recording company “Crystallin Music” and Plexigo started to produce tracks which are characterised by his very own style. In the beginning he described his music as “Psygressive Trance”, later the focus was set more to “Forest Trance”, “Twilight” and “Night Psy”. Since 2013 Plexigo is the main organizer and visionary mastermind of the Wiesbaden based “UNTERHOLZ” event project, that got quite popular in the Rhein-Main area and all around Germany during the last years. The indoor party series “TREIBHOLZ” invites international artists and sets the focus on the build up of a vibrant and resonating “Forest” scene in his actual hometown Wiesbaden. Right now Plexigo is more into DJing than producing own music. His style is a twisted mix of Twilight, Liquid Night Psy and mystical, driving Forest Trance. In 2017/2018 Plexigo played on the “Transylvaliens Festival” in Romania, two DJ-Sets in Switzerland and on multiple events and locations in the Rhein-Main area, such as the “Tanzhaus West” or “MTW Club” in Frankfurt am Main, the Bellini Club Mainz or the “FlaFla” in Herford.
