Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Alan Hinton | Alan Hinton | Alan Hinton has been involved in music since the age of 15 starting out on a Sony Playstation 1 and using Music 2000 as his software sequencer. Alan quickly got a taste for making music professionally and invested in a PC, his 1st release, with bounce nation records, run by local deejays of his home town Halifax After a few years producing bouncy house music, as [a284674], and running his own label, “[l53273]”, Alan decided it was time to try something new. He was introduced to a guy named a69746 ,aka [a26848], who he knew from the big chart topping hit “[m=91729]”. After a while James and Alan became great friends , and writing partners, with a string of hits within the bassline scene under the alias’s [a1196488], [a1184893], [a423676] and more. James and Alan continued in different genres including Dance music ([a1789357]) partnering up with Lee Butler and Kenny Hayes to release [r2238582]. Alongside this, Alan’s love for UK Hardcore birthed the name [a1156331] working with [a113916] with several tracks released. Alan still continues the [a2432986] portion of this act to this day. After a few years Alan decided it was time for a change, again. This, time old friend and Bouncy House producer Matt James aka Mjay asked Alan to do a few remixes for him, which lead onto Original work and the start of the Record Label Nine Planet Records. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Pappy Stewart | Virgil Freemont Stewart | American songwriter, singer & bandleader. Born August 5, 1907. Died July 10, 1988. At some point in the 1940s, Stewart assembled a family singing group with his daughters Bethel and Janet, his sister Baba, and neighbor's daughter, Wilma. Best known for writing the song "Just Out of Reach (Of My Two Open Arms)". Originally recorded by his band, The Stewart Family, in 1951, it took ten more years to become a hit--first a U.S. hit for Solomon Burke in 1961. The song was a crossover hit, hitting #24 overall as well as #6 on the adult contemporary and #7 on the R&B chart. The song has since been recorded by hundreds of artists and has charted six additional times (one of those in the U.K. by Ken Dodd). |

| Search | Add | 2 | 樋口對山 | Higuchi Taizan | Higuchi Taizan (1856-1914) was from Nagoya, a city in between Tokyo and Kyoto, and started his shakuhachi career under Kanetomo Seien, the founder of Seien Ryu. He later studied Kinko Ryu under its Grandmaster, Araki Chikuo, and Ikkan Ryu (effectively a branch of Kinko Ryu) under Takigawa Chuka. He incorporated Seien Ryu and Kinko Ryu honkyoku learned from these teachers into his repertoire which formed its basis. He also added several other pieces to his repertoire, though exactly whom he studied them from remains unclear. When Taizan moved from Nagoya to Kyoto he started his own school, and eventually instigated the revival of the Myoan temple, Myoanji. This was the Fuke temple which had served as the Kansai region’s head Fuke temple until its destruction in the Buddhist persecution during first years of the Meiji period. The revival movement found a suitable temple for their new location and adopting the name Myoanji from the original temple. Although this was not a revival of the Fuke sect (which had been entirely abolished by the Meiji government), this new temple served as a base for honkyoku activities in the Kyoto area. He was teacher of [a8260444] and [a8260450] |

| Search | Add | 2 | H. E. Erwin Walther | Heinrich Ernst Erwin Walther | H. E. Erwin Walther was born in 1920 in Amberg in the Upper Palatinate. His father, Ernst Walther (a student of Joseph Rheinberger, excellent pianist, a decade-long church organist and longtime choir director), taught his son from his early youth to the piano, harmonica, music history and composition. Erwin played piano with four, violin with eight, viola with thirteen and Waldhorn with sixteen years. After the Abitur, he was admitted to the State Conservatory in Würzburg with his own violinsonate in the master class of Prof. Zilcher. At the same time, he studied musicology at Oskar Kaul, counterpoint with Hans Schindler and in the Nebenfach Viola with Karl Bender, and as a guest speaker, philosophy, German studies and medicine. After the examination (1941) Walther was conscripted. As early as 1943, after a serious injury, he was released and sent to Bayreuth for the student's guidance by way of a compulsory service obligation for wounded academics. In addition to his studies and beginnings as a composer, Erwin Walther worked as a practicing musician. Already during his studies, he belonged as a violinist, a. The Hemlock Quartet and the Sturm Quartet in Nuremberg. The press called him a "pianist of rank" in 1949. As such, he taught studiocrites in the years 1949 to 1951, in which he used the art of (almost forgotten) improvisation. For the studios founded by Gerd Winkler in Amberg in 1950, he wrote stage music for numerous performances (among others works by Sartre, Cocteau, Brecht, etc.) as a "house composer". He was a co-founder of the Amberger Jazzclub, and since 1960 he had received numerous assignments for television films and radio productions. The stylistic and generic variety of his extensive work makes him a difficult artist. Freedom and independence determined his life as well as his work. With the literature, he has devoted himself to his life composition. H. E. Erwin Walther died in 1995 in Amberg. |

| Search | Add | 2 | NayaBand | NAYABAND is a group that draws its musical essence from the African continent. The group adapts various musical sounds like reggae, dub, blues, jazz, but also African rythms such as mbalakh, soukouss among others. NAYABAND is a musical group created and directed by [a13579603]. Nayaban Jean is a songwriter, presenting and representing multiculturalism and crossbreeding. The leader of the group, Nayaban Jean is from Senegal. He is one of the few artists to have received the teachings and training of troubadours and griots on the traditions and roots of African music. With this musical learning acquired as a basis, he was a member of the Senegalese group Banor-Z. It follows the recording of its first album in 1999, then a musical tour in the Canary Islands. In 2003, Nayaban Jean settled in the Canary Islands where he founded his first group Mystic Vibes. In 2004, the group moved to the Afro Acoustic Experience, and then became Nayaband in 2005. The appearance of the group in the islands will give a fresh air to the local musical panorama, thanks to the knowledge of the African music base of the leader and the heterogeneous and multicultural nature of sounds coming from other continents. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Yard Dogs Roadshow | Yard Dogs Road Show is a thirteen-member traveling cabaret that features a blend of performances, including vaudeville, burlesque, stage magic, sideshow oddities, and beatnik "hobo poetry." Performances include musical interludes, song and dance numbers, and background music from the Yard Dogs cartoon heavy band. The Yard Dogs began in 1998 as a three-piece traveling jug band formed by Yard Dogs founder Eddy Joe Cotton. The jug band started out playing in the road houses and dance halls of the west coast. During this time, band members took part in modern-day acid tests with the likes of Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters. For the next year, the band toured up and down the West Coast in a 1967 Ford Galaxy 500. It was on a cold night in 1999 that the band stopped to roll out their sleeping bags off Interstate 5 at a place called Dog Creek Road that the band found its new name and new calling. Thus the Yard Dogs Road Show was born. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | 506 Crew | 506 Crew is a dynamic Reggae Band based in Central Florida. They consistently ignite the state with their brand of Contemporary, Dancehall, and other styles of Reggae music, simultaneously soothing the souls of their fans with sensual original ballads. Their experience and professionalism is vast as they have performed with many well known artist such as Maxi Priest, Yellowman, Jimmy Cliff, Third World, and Freddie Mcgregor, just to name a few. The leader of 506 Crew is Tony Blair. Born in Jamaica, he adds his own authentic vibes to this band comprised of multicultural members. Tony is very talented on the keyboards and his vocals go with out saying. He is an ardent lyricist and entertainer and has been playing keys from a very early age. His talent and persona never goes unheard. Ilismo is from the enchanted island of St. Maarten. She brings a classic, yet soulful, Caribbean flavor with her versatile vocals. This talented songstress, who is also one of the lead singers in the group, says her vocal chords are “Strong as mahogany yet gentle as the Caribbean Sea.” On bass, from the Isle of Spice that is Grenada is Kelvin Parks. Since migrating to the U.S. he has played the hotel circuit both in New York and Florida and has performed with Tropical Steel, Mattocks International, and now 506 Crew. The creative energy that flows through the unique song writing collaboration of Ilismo and Tony Blair is incredible. Tony has produced three albums. The first is “Talk It Over” which contains both conscious lyrics and nostalgia and is performed in a rootsy traditional style. His second album “Jah Love” is a must have for the conscious-minded music lover. The third album is a collection of their very own “new” and revamped “oldies but goodies”. 506 Crew promises a natural high, which is delivered through rhythm and harmony, an undeniable combination. | |
