Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Private Numbers | In July 1984, Danny Kristensen, Rick Richards, Doug Hines, and Bruce Moody began formulating ideas for a new band. But the first order of business was to play out the last couple of Walkee Talkee gigs that were still booked. A few months later, the band had just chosen its new name; Private Numbers. The name came about one day at rehearsal at Rick Richards’ house. Rick’s young kids had those colorful magnetic letters that stick to metal and they were all over the family refrigerator. During our breaks, one or two of us would go over to the fridge and try to come up with a band name. One of the names that we liked was Numbers. A few days of staring at that name inspired one of us to add the word Private in front of Numbers and that’s how our new band name came about.

Founded in 2009 by Toby Breitenbach in Frankfurt, who originally wanted to record and release a solo-album with the support of Pogo TS and Robby Siemens. Search | Add | 3 | Aural Exile | Aural Exile is a solo band of varying genres formed by Griimoiire in 2007. Chris Paul (who went on to form the post-punk band, Catholic Playground) played bass in the early lineup with several drummers under the project's original name, The Apparition. Griimoiire recorded the debut album, "Attrition" in the autumn of 2010 with engineer Vince Burke and session musician Jacob Berg. It was produced by Griimoiire the following winter and privately distributed. For the next five years, many demo tapes were recorded using an analog 4-track recorder, but none have been released to the public thus far (only "Dreadful Entrenchment" and "Nightmare Everlasting" are available to listen to). In 2015, Aural Exile finished recording the sophomore release, "Empathy and Misanthropy" at the now abandoned Abysmal Lair studio in Scott's Addition. It was released on vinyl in 2015.

Search | Add | 3 | Deasel Weasel | Deasel Weasel | Deasel Weasel was founded 2009 in Graz and fills the Austrian stages with their unconventional version of Pop-Rock ever since. The 4 musicians - Alex Vader, Chris Jalen, Markus, and Tom S - already gathered some experience in various musical projects, which now influences their music and work at Deasel Weasel. According to the motto "music with no restrictions!", every sound and style that comes along gets quoted, mixed, and internalized, which makes their work hard to categorize. For years they called their musical style "progressive grind-pop", a term created by a fan and friend, which ought to indicate the variety in the bands repertoire. By now they decided to let that term go and to refer to their music as what it is: easy going pop music with experimental rock-tunes. The name "Deasel Weasel" derives from the weasels associated characteristics - being cute and devious at the same time. A second glance into the cheeky, sarcastic lyrics often "treacherously" shows the songs true meaning, whereas just one listening to the music already lets you feel the energy (hence Diesel). In their everyday band life they do it like the weasel and adapt themselves to different circumstances and improvise. In this sense the band played gigs on 5 qm big stages, spontaneously plugged/unplugged, only for 10 min as well as at 5 o'clock in the morning due to sudden delays and changes. Either way, Deasel Weasel remain faithful to their motto: music with no restrictions! |

Coal Field Hotel ranges their music from Downtempo, Ambient, experimental. Musically influenced by dated instruments and synthesizers, Coal Field Hotel has achieved a swirling mix of music around faint ambient textures and a sound that comes off as out of tune but fitted in place. 3 unknown members judging from photos and album artwork, there seems to be at least 3 as of 2015 claiming to be from Chicago Illinois, USA. All though at one point their online store listed their location from India.
