Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | EG Vines | Eric Vines | “Democrat, Republican, it’s written on my face again. This blue and red so black and white, it’s taken over everything!” EG Vines is an artist who leans into the sociopolitical and the release of his latest single, “Them,” is his first chance to release music during a U.S. Presidential election year. The intoxicating division that seems to stay at fever pitch won’t start to tamp down until as a Vines channeling Zack de la Rocha says, we “take the power back!” In a personal sense, Vines took his power back in the fall of 2019 giving his two-week notice to a ten-year career leading energy conservation efforts at a Fortune 500 company in order to tour and focus on songwriting. “Jesus spent 40 days in the desert tempted to give up what he came to earth to do and it took me 10 years in corporate America,” Vines laughs. While the pandemic effectively shut down touring plans for the rest of 2020, Vines used his newly freed time to fine tune and record several singles that point to a full-length record in 2021. A Nashville resident since 2009, Vines says he spent most of the 2010s “drunk, plump and stupid” playing with various rock bands before debuting as a solo artist with 2018 EP Conversation. The full-length follow-up Family Business was released in the fall of 2019 and featured songs in regular rotation on Nashville’s Lightning 100, airplay on XM radio, placements in Billboard, Rolling Stone, Pop Matters and NPR, among others. Drawing comparisons to Neil Young, Jason Isbell and 90s alt-rock acts like Pearl Jam and REM, Vines has developed an eclectic roots rock sound and he aims to approach songwriting from angles less traveled. “Sure, there are plenty of blatant anti-Trump songs – and I might even call him a name in an upcoming song – but I always strive to give people something more than surface level. If I didn’t make you think a bit, I feel like I didn’t do my job.” Look for a steady cadence of singles, videos and potentially cover tunes across the fall before what Vines hopes is plenty of touring in 2021. “The folks that played on this record have been with me for a bit and we’re getting pretty tight. Stay with us and we’ll make sure to give you something special when we’re able to play shows again.” |

| Search | Add | 3 | Neal Kay | British heavy metal/hard rock DJ, producer, live sound engineer and concert promoter (b. 10 February 1950). Neal Kay was one of the forefathers of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement alongside [a=Tommy Vance] and [a=Geoff Barton]. From 1975 to 1980, Neal Kay, who has been DJ'ing at London youth clubs since the mid-sixties, managed a venue called "The Bandwagon Heavy Metal Soundhouse," originally in the back room of the Prince of Wales public house in Kingsbury, North London. With one of the city's loudest club PA sound systems (8 kW JBL/Martin speakers) and Kay's passion for hard-n-heavy music, the Bandwagon soon became the main center of attraction for metalheads. In August 1978, Neal Kay invited [a=Geoff Barton], a deputy editor of Sounds, England's leading music newspaper, to attend one of his Bandwagon nights. Barton was surprised to see a metal scene alive and blossoming in the era when punk seemingly dominated the mainstream. Sounds soon began publishing a weekly Heavy Metal chart, solely based on Kay's DJ requests at Bandwagon and featuring mainly pre-punk era bands: [a=UFO (5)], [a=Rush], [a=Scorpions], [a=Rainbow], etc. Other periodicals that covered the new underground movement included [l=Melody Maker]. In November '78, [a=Tommy Vance] launched his new radio program, "Friday Rock Show," on [l=BBC], also dedicated to heavy metal/hard-rock repertoire. In May 1979, Neal Kay organized a historical concert for [a=Angel Witch], [a=Iron Maiden], and [a=Samson (3)] at [l=The Music Machine] in London. Geoff Barton reviewed the event with a centerfold article in Sounds titled: "If You Want Blood (and Flashbombs and Dry Ice and Confetti) You Got It." Barton's boss and Sounds editor-in-chief, [a=Alan Lewis (2)], penned the ironic subtitle for the piece: "The New Wave Of British Heavy Metal: first in an occasional series by Deaf Barton;" and that's how a catchy NWOBHM term was born. With the media exposure and highly-publicized new "movement," Neal Kay became one of the UK's first high-caliber rock/metal DJs. He toured with [a=Black Sabbath], [a=Ronnie James Dio], [a=AC/DC], [a=Judas Priest], [a=Ted Nugent], [a=Motörhead] and other prominent acts, playing sets at venues from [l=Rainbow Theatre London] to [l=Hammersmith Odeon]. Kay participated in compiling and producing demo tapes for new unsigned bands at [l=Spaceward Studios] in Cambridge: [a=Saxon], [a=Praying Mantis (3)], Apocalypse and [a=Iron Maiden] (which soon landed a contract with [l=EMI], partially due to Neal Kay's efforts). In 1980, the label released [m=150039] LP compilation with an assortment of Soundhouse demos; Neal wrote liner notes and helped to compile the release. The same year, he appeared as an MC at the inaugural [l=Monsters Of Rock Festival]. During his Japanese tour with members of Praying Mantis, ex-Iron Maiden, and [a=The Sweet], Neal Kay arranged a collaboration with [l=Pony Canyon] label, resulting in the release of [r=13753360] CD compilation. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Sonny Caulfield | Alan Campbell Reid "Sonny" Caulfield (1933-2011) | Alan Campbell Reid "Sonny" Caulfield was born in 1933 in Verdun a Montreal suburb, the last of three children born to newly arrived Scottish parents. He studied classical piano from 1942-1947 and in 1955 plunged headlong into music full time. After 18 months playing with his trio in saloons in Montreal, a lucky break led to his being "discovered" at Montreal's fabled Supper Club, El Morocco. In two separate stints, he spent almost three years at this elegant nightclub, first as pianist/singer in the cocktail lounge, then adding to his job description the title House Master of Ceremonies. It was here that the show-business education really took place, presenting the opportunity to introduce international stars and watch them work 14 shows each week. In 1968, Sonny accepted a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation offer of 26 weekly issues of a live talent-development show called "Sunday Morning" on which he led a quartet as Music Director. Thirteen weeks into "Sunday Morning", time and budget became available for a major music show, and Sonny was offered the job of Music Director and featured performer. He also ended up writing and producing the show, "Islands and Princesses." It was live-to-tape, shot intentionally in black and white, and featured a blend of Classical and Pop music, sung in a variety of languages. 56 episodes were shot and played across the CBC Network. Work on the series ended by May, 1970. Then came "Luncheon Date with Elwood Glover", which had been running as a radio show five days a week for six years in downtown Toronto. Now there was talk that the show would move to television and expand to accomodate a studio audience. Sonny Caulfield would lead the house jazz trio. For the next five years "Welcome to Luncheon Date with Elwood Glover" was a staple of daytime television, featuring the Sonny Caulfield Trio. Over the next five years, visiting musicians included Buddy Greco, Roger Whittaker, Gene Krupa, Buddy DeFranco and Ella Fitzgerald, not to mention performers known best by the primarily Canadian audience. In August, 1975, "Luncheon Date" went off the air and Sonny moved to London with his family. Sonny returned to Montreal and Toronto in 1982, and took engagements in smaller, less glamourous venues, content now to just play music without the hassles of the big cities. In 1986, Sonny accepted an engagement at a hotel in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, looking forward to a lazy summer on the beautiful Island. The engagement, which was to run four months, is still going strong nineteen years later. (1933-2011) Peacefully, at the Palliative Care Unit, Prince Edward Home, on Saturday, March 5, 2011, of Mr. Sonny Caulfield of Charlottetown and formerly of Montreal, Que., Toronto, Ont. and London, England. Dear father of Reid Caulfield (Lisa Baldwin) of Los Angeles, California and Sarah Caulfield (Sean Brady) of Hove, United Kingdom and her mother, Susan McLean. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Georgina (nee Reid) Caulfield and his sister, Sheena Ring and brother, William Caulfield. Grand entertainer, jazz piano player and bandleader, recording artist, raconteur and alumnus of CBC Television and Radio ("Islands & Princesses", "Elwood Glover’s Luncheon Date"). |

| Search | Add | 3 | Stewart Eastham | Stewart Eastham takes his music in bold new directions with his third full length solo album The Great Silence. His first solo album (The Man I Once Was) painted a portrait of a man in turmoil and his second (Dancers In The Mansion) took on a more celebratory tone. His new release The Great Silence takes on the metaphysical realm exploring grand themes of life, death, and rebirth. While it’s not technically a “concept” album, it feels like one with its repeating themes and motifs. The album opens with instrumental track “The Renaissance” showing us right away Eastham is ready to break through the restrictions of the Americana genre where his previous work resided. Synths play a prominent part on that track and the album as a whole. Rather than keep his songwriting and film score composing separate, Eastham made the conscious decision to blend the two for this album creating a cinematic backdrop for his esoteric, yet relatable tales. Using both analog and digital synths, Eastham created rich sonic soundscapes that weave through most of the songs. Title track “The Great Silence” features a biting lead analog synth evocative of the classic Moog sound. That song has a 9+ minute instrumental coda that closes out the album with a “John Carpenter meets Run The Jewels” vibe. In the somber “Do You Dream”, Eastham’s stark voice and acoustic guitar are wrapped in warm synth sounds highlighting a bass tone that gets deeper and deeper with each successive, heartbreaking verse. While Eastham has expanded his sonic palette, the rich storytelling of his lyrics remain intact. The first single “40 Days” has a synthy rock n roll vibe and contains dark and surreal lyrics showcasing metaphysical elements found throughout the entire album. According to Eastham: “‘40 Days’ was one of the earliest songs I wrote on the album and, because of that, it helped define the overarching death/rebirth theme of the entire record. Through the main character’s exotic journey into the heart of darkness I was able to address some of my own fears regarding death and madness. During the recording process, this is the first song I put synths on. I really fell in love with that sound which also went on to help define the whole album.” Songs “One More” and the anthemic “Take My Land” have a classic rock vibe with nods to the past but arrangements that reside firmly in the present. And lest you think Eastham has left the country genre behind, he brings his vocal chops to the country tune “Curtain Call” bringing to mind recent work by Chris Stapleton. “Flowers To My Gravestone” somehow manages to mix disco and bluegrass in Eastham’s humorous tale of man stuck between this world and the next. “The Executioner’s Lament” is reminiscent of Eastham’s work with Day Of The Outlaw that veered more towards hard rock. The surreal yet poignant lyrics match the visceral power of the music. The spooky “Lake’s Edge” is evocative of a classic horror film with its mysterious tale of a man assessing his life while visiting his hometown. While big drums have always been a trademark of Eastham’s sound, his hip-hop influences shine through even more on this record. This is most evident on the searing “Beyond The Oaks” where Eastham sings over booming 808 drums. He explains, “I really wanted to throw out the rulebook for this album.” That adventurous spirit is also evident in the rocker “Life Of Crime” that features a synth solo with a distinctly Eastern European vibe. This album marks Eastham’s second outing co-producing his own material alongside Burke Ericson. Eastham now works out of his own studio and through his film score work has moved more comfortably into the producer role. As he put it, “I really had a lot of fun collaborating with Burke on the album’s production. Burke is in LA and I’m in Nashville so we were constantly sending ideas and sounds back and forth. I think this album was our truest collaboration in terms of really dialing in a specific and unique sound for this record.” The bulk of the album was recorded at ER Studio in Nashville, TN. Though there are synth sounds throughout, Eastham and Ericson wanted the album to have a live rock n roll feel at its core. Thus all four band members recorded together in the same room so each song had a vibe unique to that moment. The album features returning champions Allen Jones on drums and Jeff Rogers on lead guitar. Christopher Griffiths joined the team on bass guitar. All four of them have played live shows together, so there was already a strong musical bond in place before they set foot in the studio. This time around Eastham and Ericson played most of the extra instrumentation themselves rather than reaching out to their friends as they did on Eastham’s previous albums. They did bring back the outrageously talented David Yuter on piano/organ and Jennifer Gibbons returned laying down beautiful backing vocals throughout the record. The album was once again mixed and mastered by the maestro Rich Mouser. Eastham was born and raised in the foothills of rural Northern California. He grew up on the sounds of classic and outlaw country, supplemented with a love of rock ’n’ roll—starting with his parents’ beat-up Elvis and Beatles records on up through the glossy pop of hair metal. Eastham is also a long time hip-hop fan, with a strong appreciation for the classics as well as modern sounds. A lot of his youth was spent consuming horror films which were also a big influence on this album. While attending UC Davis, Eastham played drums in various bands. After graduating with a degree in Computer Engineering, he switched gears and moved to Los Angeles to attend film school and study acting. He fronted the band Day Of The Outlaw for two albums before embarking on a solo career after moving to Nashville from Los Angeles in the fall of 2010. He immediately fell in love with the city. According to Eastham, “You just can’t help but be creative in this town”. While continuing with his lyric based songwriting, Eastham has also moved further into the world of film scoring. In 2020 he scored feature length horror film “Human No More”. The soundtrack album is due to arrive on vinyl mid-2021. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Bruxism Sex | Michael Scott | Bruxism Sex Born from the abrasive underground of the American experimental scene, Janky Funeral is the primary harsh noise and power electronics project of the artist known as Koobaatoo Asparagus (also operating under aliases like Michael Scott and Bomedy Beats). Operating at the intersection of sonic nihilism and structural decay, the project has become a prolific fixture in the modern noise landscape, particularly through the lens of No Skinny Jeans Records. Artistic Philosophy and Sound Janky Funeral’s sound is characterized by its "unpolished" or "janky" aesthetic—hence the name—which eschews the clean, high-end production of some industrial music for a more raw, visceral, and often "lo-fi" approach to violence. The project frequently explores themes of: The Macabre & Ritualistic: Evidenced by titles like Holy World Organization and Goddess Foot Domination. Power Electronics: Integrating high-frequency feedback, distorted vocal tirades, and heavy saturation. Harsh Noise Wall (HNW): Sections of monolithic, unchanging static that challenge the listener's endurance. Career and Discography The project has seen an explosion of activity since the early 2010s, with a massive uptick in releases between 2021 and 2025. Janky Funeral is known for its "scorched earth" release strategy, often putting out dozens of limited-edition cassettes and digital splits within a single year. Key Releases & Collaborations: Early Foundations: Goddess Foot Domination (2011) established the project's roots in the "No Skinny Jeans" underground. Collaborative Splits: The artist is a frequent collaborator, recently releasing the Sad Tortoise X Janky Funeral SPLIT (2025). Prolific Output: Works like Sick of You and Holy World Organization showcase a preoccupation with religious imagery and social disgust. Legacy in the Underground While many noise artists strive for a "perfect" wall of sound, Janky Funeral embraces the glitch and the broken. The project remains a standard-bearer for the "anti-music" movement, prioritizing the physical and psychological impact of sound over traditional melody or rhythm. As of 2026, the project continues to release material at a breakneck pace, maintaining its status as one of the most active voices in the digital and cassette-culture noise scenes. |

| Search | Add | 3 | BenKane | Dávid Ben-Kane | A brand new face to the industry of house and electronic music. Started DJing a couple of years ago, but always sharing how good music can feel like. BenKane inspired by a lot of great entertainers and producers like Claptone, David Penn, Angelo Ferreri and Idris Elba is ready to go to the next level step by step. For now, mostly Budapest based, where he played almost in every festival and participated shows in many underground places. The half African and half Hungarian househead is one of the most recognizable djs in the country, always in shirts but in the most colorful way that you can imagine and even when you close your eyes, you will know that he is playing because of his selection of funky, deep and groovy music. The letter can be heard in the songs that he releases. A lot of tracks are in the making now, which are waiting to be heard and they will be as well funky, deep, groovy or all of the above. He is aiming big and he don’t want to copy anyone. He will try to bring his new style to the widest array of people as soon as possible. As for what’s next for the Hungarian producer, remains to be seen, but you can be sure that you will be hearing his name sooner than you’ll except. |
