Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 13 | The Chestnut Grove Quartet | Bluegrass Gospel Acapella Group from of the Clinch Mountains in Southwest Virginia. From the Chestnut Grove Methodist Church in Abingdon, Virginia, this legendary (but little heard outside the region where they live) a cappella quartet has had a profound effect on gospel a cappella singing that far outstrips their local renown, influencing such local luminaries as Ralph Stanley, Doyle Lawson, and Ricky Skaggs, both in repertoire and performance style. These selections are drawn from albums made by the group during the 60s, 70s, and 80s to capitalize on the enormous popularity of their local radio broadcasts and personal appearances in the mountainous areas of Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, and West Virginia. Stylistically, the quartet springs from the shape note singing schools of their youth and the Stamps-Baxter shape note hymnals so omnipresent in white Protestant churches of rural areas; their four part harmonies and parts singing is as old as the churches where they learned to sing. In late 1999, Steve founded 7 Wonders of the World Music, the first digital download-only ska and reggae label, which featured releases from two dozen bands from around the globe, and sold digital music online two years before the iTunes store launched. After taking a few years off from the music industry, Steve started The Duff Guide to Ska blog in 2008 and began reviewing ska records, concerts, books, and films—and hasn't stopped writing about ska music since. Steve is the author of "The Duff Guide to 2 Tone," which features over 70 reviews of reissues of 2 Tone albums from The Specials & The Special AKA, The Selecter, The Beat, Madness, The Bodysnatchers, and Bad Manners, as well as write-ups of their more recent records, gigs, books, and movies. With a foreword by Gaz Mayall (The Trojans, Gaz's Rockin' Records, Gaz's Rockin' Blues, and co-writer of The Bodysnatchers' "Ruder Than You"), The Duff Guide to 2 Tone draws from over 12 years of Shafer’s reviews from his Duff Guide to Ska blog. | |

| Search | Add | 13 | Dimitry Liss | Dimitry Lisionok | Dimitry Liss, was born on the 18th day of December 1985 in the city of Vladivostok, Russia. Soon after he relocated to Tyumen, Siberian City where he spend the first 15 years of his life. Music and sports were the only activities that kept him going in the oil- rigged city. At home his father was his main influence and shaped his perception of music. Dad was deeply rooted in good old school rock, in the likes of Beatles, Nazareth, CCR, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne. Didn’t take long for Dimitry to pick up the tennis racket and rock on at the tender age of 4. In addition, his mother's friend was a piano teacher who started tutoring young Dimitry from an early age, which initially was perceived as hardworking and difficult - became easy and interesting. Sports was his little sanctuary, where the body exercised and the mind relaxed, composing a flow of ideas that later on grew more complex. The year was 2002, Dubai was the new city that would in turn add to his aural perception. In the United Arab Emirates he completed high school; in a poly-cultural environment were music, culture and technology coincide hand in hand. His younger brother formed a metal-band soon after Dimitry joined him to express their ideas, in a more sophisticated level. Rhythm guitar intrigued Dimitry and still does to this day. The band has composed over 20 original pieces over the last years, with tastes of heavy metal, brutal death, melodic and the like and now more diverse and stronger than ever. After school Dimitry set off to Prague to study business, however his journey was cut short. Within a year his passion guided him to follow another path. In 2006, back to square one, he joined an audio engineering school in Dubai. Where he successfully completing his audio engineering degree in 2007 and was honored with a bachelor’s degree in Arts. The educational experience equipped him with several valuable tools; and his perception of music grew immensely. Now being able to put each and every one of his ideas on canvas. In this educational journey, he met his co-producer artist, Costas Papa. Although Costas was heavily influenced from house, trance and techno; at some level they had similar visions. This gave birth to the Dimitry Liss & Costas Papa "coalition", formed in 2007 to serve the global community with quality electronic music. Although the project is like a new born baby, it has crawled into several leading indie labels such as Bit Records Mexico, Xela Recordings, Stranamente Records, Total Wipes, Reticent Recordings to name a few. However, Dimitry did not stop there as in early 2009 he ventured to explore the music world in his solo career by signing with few more major underground labels like Frisky Records and Balkan Connection South America Records. Currently Dimitry Liss supports electronic music, he is heavily involved with Dimitry Liss & Costas Papa duo project and his own work as a producer and a DJ, crafting brand new progressive, tech, deep, minimal house tracks for your enjoyment. |

| Search | Add | 13 | Morph.Arts | MORPH.Arts/ZOOM | MORPH.Arts was founded in 1998 after leaving the Fanzine Refraktor. Refraktor made it possible to connect with artists and musicians that were interested in improving the creativity of their work. A virtue of necessity was made for Weissenfelser‘n Mission‘2, who badly needed a graphic conversion for their synthiesound. The first artworks und layouts emerged, and were then further developed. Dolor came to MORPH.Arts after seeing their work from the first job, and a collaboration was formed which prepared them for a partnership with ZOOM, with whom M.A worked until 2002. The designs got more professional, and ZOOM saw to it that deadlines were met. M.A/Z worked for :Wumpscut:, Infact and Nobdrun, which lead to a new contact with the industrial project called Ohrenschmerz from Halle/Leipzig. Many different productions for organizers and artists took place, be it for art, CDs, LPs, posters, or flyers. A meeting with the Tesco Organisation was made who needed a website. For awhile it was featured and run by M.A/Z. Again layouts for artists like Sturmovik, Operation Cleansweep were compiled, including the fantastic patch for Genocide Organ. Innumerable flyers and advertisements were made. In 2002 things quieted down for MORPH.Arts/ZOOM. Due to job-related obligations, there was not enough time for creativity. Zoom and MORPH.Arts was out of mind while time was being devoted to a „normal“ social life. The urge, however, was not lost, and so MORPH.Arts continued to work on. Since then nothing but pure artistic projects have been presented. Personally created graphics for artists, friends and acquaintances are being made. The urge for publicity is not a priority, although a request could/would receive a positive reaction. Sources of inspiration are, and were always the works of Stefan Alt [Ant-Zen]. His influence can be seen at the start of M.A/Z. Additionally inspired by the morbidity of H.R. Giger, who else? Non graphic influences also play a role, like the humor of Josef Hader‘s the Austrian formation Pungent Stench, films for example are U-Turn and Tim Burton‘s Ed Wood. As much as I like skeletons and strange humor, Glenn Danzig, the melancholy romantic from Death In June, and the power of Laibach should not be forgotten! The roots clearly run deep in the „black scene“ and Metal with their facets, but the look is not restricted to only this area. M.A/Z is and was always a mix of everything that moves us. |

| Search | Add | 13 | Philippine Brass Band | Philippine culture is a combination of Eastern and Western cultures. The Philippines exhibits aspects found in other Asian countries with a Malay heritage, yet its culture also displays a significant amount of Spanish and American influences. Traditional festivities known as barrio fiestas (district festivals) to commemorate the feast days of patron saints are common. The Moriones Festival and Sinulog Festival are a couple of the most well-known. These community celebrations are times for feasting, music, and dancing. Some traditions, however, are changing or gradually being forgotten due to modernization. The Bayanihan Philippine National Folk Dance Company has been lauded for preserving many of the various traditional folk dances found throughout the Philippines. They are famed for their iconic performances of Philippine dances such as the tinikling and singkil that both feature the use of clashing bamboo poles. In these fiestas and festivals various bands and ensemble play the Brass Band Instruments- the tuba, xylophone, saxophone, clarinet and oboe. The sheet above issued in 2001 features these instruments. | Search | Add | 13 | Fojetta | Vincenzo Foglietta | Vincenzo Foglietta, aka Fojetta (Foligno, July 29, 1940 - Foligno, March 22, 1980), was an Italian singer-songwriter, musician and radio host.He began his musical passion at the age of 16, performing in various Italian and French venues. In 1964 he reached Milan, the city of Italian discography par excellence, signing a recording contract with Alberto Airoldi's Durium, which offered some of his 45 rpm recordings: "Voglio cambia aria/l denti" Durium Ld A 7734 (1971), songs censored in Italy, but engraved in Spanish, German, French, English and even in Slavic, obtaining a good response abroad. In what was then Yugoslavia it sold more than 300,000 copies, reaching the top of sales, while in Argentina it was chosen as the theme song for important pop music television broadcasts. This success was followed by another 45 rpm records. In 1972, again Durium - Ld A 7763 "L'associazione/ll corno rosso". In 1974 he recorded for Durium Ld A 7861 "Me ne Vado in campagna/Suga suga. In 1975 Durium "Cocca mia/Lu telefunu". Inspired by nature, he travels around the countryside, recording everything that can inspire him traditional-popular music and this is exactly what made him plan the album entitled "Dall' Umbria con...folclore" recorded and distributed by Durium ms M 77329 in 1973. It was precisely this recording project that made him assign the "Paroliere" award by the music critics held in Monticelli Terme in Parma for 3 consecutive years. Numerous times guest in national television broadcasts, arriving to personally conduct radio programs of Radio Montecarlo. In 1977 Durium released the 45 RPM records "La vita è bella/Ma che confusione". As well as "L'ascesa" and "La storia della vita". Following the successes obtained, Fojetta was preparing a new 33 rpm work, based on new research into traditional music, but all this could not see the light due to his early death. |

| Search | Add | 13 | Alex Stamer | Born around 1880, probably in Dresden. Made his debut as a comedian in 1902 in his hometown in Saxony. He was a student of the once well-known and leading Singspiel director Winter-Tymian, who owned his own theater in Dresden. Stamer already had a good reputation in the artistic world when he came to Berlin for the first time in 1919 and had great success here at the Thalia Theater as one of the best Saxon comedians. He then traveled all over Germany for many years and was at all the well-known variety shows. Some of his most popular lecture pieces have been recorded. In 1932 Stamer returned to Dresden, the birthplace of his work, and settled here as a permanent member of the Tymian Theater, directed by Max Neumann. On the occasion of his thirtieth stage anniversary in November 1932, the entertainment industry newspaper "Berliner Herold" spoke of Stamer as a doyen of popular comedy, "who gave countless happy hours to so many people with his original humor." Nothing could be determined about Alex Stamer's further fate after 1933. Text from Berthold Leimbach | |

| Search | Add | 13 | Cor Sanders | Patrick Franz | Already in his early childhood Patrick came in contact with electronic music. Fascinated by all areas of house & trance he lived only for this music. But from time to time, his music became harder and harder … Driven by the hard, driving beats he began in 2000 to put his hands on mixing. First it started with the mixing on a laptop, where he quickly made a name for itself in its environment. The level of awareness has led to numerous gigs at private parties, birthdays and some sporting events. This however was not enough to him, because the music always continued to develop, so his interests changed. Then he discovered Hardstyle & Jumpstyle for himself, his passion… The project “DJ Drukktechnik” was born. Hard beats, Rhythmic, harmonic melodies and some vocals, that was exactly what he needed. Soon, some friends and he founded one of the many “Jumpstyle crews”, which consisted of many of his friends and acquaintances. Here it was laying near that he was a disc jockey for that team. After a few weeks, there were the first gigs in several clubs in Leipzig. After buying real equipment (turntables, korgpad and so on, he improved his skills. Numerous gigs followed thereupon. He played for example with Bangbros, DJ Sacrifice, Jump Ahead, Patrick Jumpen, Nick D-Lite and so on … In 2010, he applied himself again to the trance and started producing. The project “Cor Sanders” was established and deals with the directions Trance, HandsUp, Electro and House. The movement in the scene also influenced him to expand his producing repertoire to Tech- and Deep-House. But to not forget his roots in the harder scene, he also has an Electro House project, called “Rough Stuff”. |

In 1981, the last LP was recorded, with Itajaíba Mattana and Rivadávia Barreto, also featuring Itajaíba's brother, Ubirajara Mattana. Afterwards, Itajaíba continued with "Os Cobras do Teclado", performing throughout southern Brazil. Around 2006, Itajaíba met Willian Ponttes, who began studying and performing alongside Itajaíba, forming again "Os Cobras do Teclado", until mid-2018. Bodak was also a student at the Conservatorio Nacional de Musica in Montevideo (Uruguay) where he studied with Wilhelm Kolisher, Enrique Casal Chapi and Eliane Richepin. In 1956 he participated in the Chopin Competition in Rio de Janeiro and also gave a number of recitals there. In 1957 Bodak returned to France where he continued his studies in Paris with Eliane Richepin, Jeanne Marie Darre, Germaine Deveze and Pierre Sancan at the Conservatoire National de Paris. | Search | Add | 13 | The New Princes Toronto Band | In 1923 Sam Laschiver, who was the booking agent for fashionable 'Rector's Club' in Tottenham Court Road, London, met up with Toronto saxophonist [a=Hal Swain] in Canada. Swain gathered together a band of young jazz musicians, which Laschivier called "The Toronto Orchestra" and they were duly booked on a one year contract for the London club. This band were: Hal Swain (sax/cornet); Billy Hall (trombone/sax); Frank Walsh (piano/organ); Dave Caplan (banjo); Ran Garrison (sousaphone, trombone & sax); Ken Kenny (drums). On arrival in the UK the band found the club had closed. Laschiver got them a booking at the 'New Princes Restaurant' in Piccadilly and the band became resident there for two years - thus becoming "The New Princes Toronto Band". The band recorded in London on the Columbia label between Nov 1924 & Feb 1926. Some recordings were made for the Crystalate company under pseudonyms, as the band were contracted to Columbia. Labels for these were 'Imperial', 'Currys', 'Oliver', 'Pigmy' and 'Mimosa'. The 'disguised' band also issued on 'Regal'. Swain departed in 1926 and Caplan became the leader of the band (now with Harry Hoffman and Art Christmas) taking on his name as "[a=Dave Caplan's Toronto Band]". By the time this band toured Berlin in the summer of 1926 the line-up had changed further; Dave Caplan, Les Allen, Lorne Cole, Harry Hoffman, Laurie Day, Art Christmas, Arthur Lousley, Arthur Calkin & Jack Collins.
