Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 4 | Karlstads Motettsällskap | Swedish advanced choir from Karlstad formed in 1944 on the initiative of former cathedral organist [a10564762]. The then exiled Danish conductor [a980515] was engaged to conduct the first concerts. Until 1974, Olle Ljungdahl was the choir's artistic director and conductor. He was succeeded by the cathedral organist [a7374772]. Current leader and contact person is cathedral organist [a1877672] The choir consists of 40 members from different parts of Värmland. Many are professionals such as organists and music teachers, but most are enthusiastic "recreational musicians". Mostly the Motettsälskapet performs in the hometown and its cathedral, but has also carried out several tours both within and outside the country. Notable concerts have been given in e.g. Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim , Helsingfors, Hamburg and Berlin. On several occasions the choir has sung on Swedish, Norwegian, and Finnish radio and has previously issued two gramophone records with SKS as a client. Mozart's and Brahms' requier and several of the great works of church music have been performed by Karlstad's Motettsällskap.Swedish and foreign choral lyrics are also often on the choir's program in secular contexts. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Thaddeus X | Thaddeus X, a Dominican DJ and music producer, has spent over ten years deeply connected to the culture of the Dominican Republic, where he has honed his distinctive sound. His music combines elements from different times and genres, merging modern electronic rhythms with echoes of the past. Influenced by the European club scene of the early 2000s, his sets are charged with the raw energy of House and Techno, yet he reaches beyond to include touches of New Wave, EBM, and the soulful grooves of Leftfield disco. What sets him apart are the subtle hints of post-punk and psychedelia, which create unexpected moments on the dance floor. Unconstrained by a single genre, Thaddeus X's records span house, techno, trance, and more. His true passion lies in experimentation. Through his side projects, Velvet Surf and The Selenite, he ventures into the fringes of mainstream club culture, investigating sounds that are often overlooked but remain compelling. His releases on labels such as Minds Alike, Mouse Music Black, Deeplomatic Recordings, and Aletheia Recordings reflect his ongoing journey—a quest for the next surprise, the next connection, and those unanticipated moments that make music come alive. In his work, there is a relentless pursuit of something deeper—a desire to bridge the familiar with the unknown, creating experiences that resonate beyond the usual confines of the club. Thaddeus X is not just producing tracks; he is crafting narratives without words, inviting listeners to join him on a path that is as much about feeling as it is about sound. His journey is one of exploration, both personal and artistic, drawing in those who are moved by the unique mix of influences he brings to his music. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Mikiel Abela | Mikiel Abela (1920 - 1991) was a Maltese folk singer. Mikiel Abela l-Bambinu was born in Żejtun on the 16th of August 1920. He was brought up and lived in his father’s farmhouse that is located between Il-Qajjenza and Marsaxlokk. He was famous for his makkjetti and for his folk ballads. Amongst his most famous are Id-Destin ta' Pawlu l-Bies, Il-Fenech Inviżibbli, about Ċikku Fenech Ta' Vanġiela, who in June 1963 was on the run for three months, being sought all over Malta by the police for the murder of Ċikku Vella and L-Ingliż li ġie Miekul mill-Ħuta fil-Bajja ta' San Tumas, a ballad about Jack Smedley, an Englishman eaten by a great white shark in St. Thomas Bay on 20 July 1956. Most of Abela's ballads were published as chapbooks and he remains, with Żeppi Spagnol Il-Kelba one of the most prolific. Perhaps the most biographical work was the his ballad Il-Firda Eterna (Eternal Parting) written in honour of his wife Ġużeppa, who passed away three days after their daughter's marriage. Three thousand people flocked to visit her corpse at home prior to her burial. Abela also featured on vinyl with his sister-in-law Maria Abela tal-Bambinu, including the popular It-tgħajjira. Ballad writing requires intensive research and fieldwork. If the story revolved about a serious crime that was to be resolved by a jury, Abela would attend all the court sessions to observe the occurrences and be precise in his writings. Twenty of Bambinu's ballads were published in Cassar's 1988 biography entitled Il-Bambinu: għana u poeżija, that was published by Sensiela Kotba Soċjalisti. Recalled for his open commitment to the Partit Laburista, he is refered to as Il-Għannej tal-Partit (The party's folksinger). Abela was proud of his hometown, and its reputation of being the mecca for Maltese folksinging. He sung thus: Trid idur sebat irħula Biex forsi ssib għannej Iż-Żejtun jitwieled tifel, Joħroġ jgħanni jekk jibqa' ħaj! You have to go through seven villages To perhaps come across a folksinger In Żejtun a boy is born, He comes out singing if stays alive! The premise that a good folksinger needs to use his sense of wit to challenge authority was perhaps never as exemplified then when Mikiel Abela Il-Bambinu addressed the Libyan leader Colonel Gaddafi, during a night of Maltese talent at the Manoel Theatre in the late Seventies. Enthusiasts still remember his improvised verses: Sur Gaddafi tħobb lil Malta Jien miż-Żejtun bil-mixi ġejt Nitolbok biex tagħdirna U fittex raħsilna ż-żejt Mr. Gaddafi, You love Malta I have walked all the way from Żejtun To implore you to empathize with us Spare no time in reducing the price of your petroleum. He performed amongst the Maltese communities in Australia, Canada and in London, and as a guest in Germany and Italy. Aged thirty, he was committed about emigrating for good to Australia and on the ship that had sailed from Malta with one thousand migrants, Abela claims that three hundred were from Żejtun. During the time he spent in Australia he suffered economic hardship and returned to Malta. Back in Malta he became the famous folk singer that he was. Abela passed away on the 10th of February 1991. One of the most famous balladeers in the history of għana. His grand daughter married the noted Mikiel Cutajar Is-Superstar. His cousin was improvised verse folk singer Żeppi Abela l-Fenka. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Serpicon3 | Andrea Spineda | Serpicon3, aka Andrea, is an electronic producer hailing from Rome, Italy. This talented musician started playing around and having fun with music in the far 1990 as a Dj. He even got a job in a club as a resident Dj in 1992. After harvesting the fruits of this job, he invested all the money into various music instruments : The main goal was to push his productions farther and hopefully make money in the music industry as a dance producer. Serpicon3 never reached that goal so far.. but he also never gave up with music and this is why I truly think he'll make it. Working mostly with Propellerheads Reason to make his music, Serpicon3 has got into many various electronic genre. Nevertheless, his public releases are only dance oriented tracks. Surely the music trends have a big impact on his style, but it's also important to mention that all the electronic music from the 80's are still an even bigger inspiration for him. Nowadays, Serpicon3 as an amateur Dj produces for himself, for passion, and for everyone that want to listen to his works. Bio courtesy of thebbcmusic |

| Search | Add | 4 | Libercanto | In 1988, a group of amateur singers led by conductor Ana Yara Campos created the Libercanto Choir. From its inception, its repertoire has encompassed music from various styles and eras, with a strong emphasis on Brazilian music. Formed by people from the Paraíba Valley community in the state of São Paulo (particularly Jacareí and São José dos Campos, with the latter city accounting for the majority of its members), it currently has approximately 30 choristers. Hundreds of singers have joined Libercanto over its 37-year history. Composed mostly of amateur members, with the exception of the musical directors (conductor and assistant), the group holds weekly meetings to define repertoire and costumes, vocal technique, and primarily for musical rehearsals. Libercanto performs throughout the year, culminating in themed shows at the end of each year. The group has performed in theaters, schools, churches, parks, businesses, and squares throughout various cities in São Paulo, including tours in the states of Minas Gerais and Paraná. They have recorded three albums. In 1996, they recorded their first—titled after the group's name—and in 2007, they released their second album, [r=30711692], featuring compositions by Chico Buarque, Edu Lobo, Geraldo Azevedo, and Milton Nascimento, among others. In 2019, they recorded their third album, "Sobre o tempo," featuring works by composers from the Paraíba Valley region of São Paulo. Sandra Mendes Sampaio has been the group's musical director since 1998, and has shared the leadership with Rafael Braga since 2015. Libercanto's repertoire selection considers how the musical will communicate with the audience, and their shows often feature scripted performances, using pre-established themes. This is a group that experiments with choral arrangements and compositions, as most of the songs are presented through arrangements and/or compositions written by the professionals conducting the work. The choir often uses texts, body language, and stage props to aid in the understanding of the theme being discussed, facilitating the communication of that idea. | |

Title in Russian: Ансамбль древнерусской духовной музыки "Светилен" or Ансамбль "Светилен". Over the years, the group has been referred to in various publications under slightly different names. The ensemble of ancient Russian music Svetilen was formed in 1989 to preserve the old Russian vocal tradition. This style is reflected in two types of singing: church singing and secular singing. Both are marked by the meaning of the sacred word. This testifies to their common “starting point” and the same cultural and musical background. Musical compositions are usually performed a capella, but sometimes ancient Russian instruments such as gusli and koliosnaya lira are used giving a peculiar sound. The group has participated in numerous festival in Russia and abroad and has won several internal awards.
