Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Maarten Kleyne A freelance graphic designer with a focus on creating stunning visuals. Working out of my studio in Veenendaal, The Netherlands I create graphic designs for a wide variety of clients all across the world. I’ll pretty much take on anything creatively exciting, be it design or print based. As a designer I love creating unique visuals for a wide variety of expressions. My specialization, however, lies in design for music. Which was born from a personal ambition; music has always been very important to me as a person and I think it’s fantastic being able to contribute with everything visual surrounding it. Music and its design (should) form a whole. Music is one part of the presentation and its artwork is the other part, they’re not separate things. That’s why I strive to create unique graphic designs that are unified with their music, to ensure that the image is a visual representation of that music. It should be beautiful and fitting.

Search Add 2 The Holy Ghostriders In case you don't know, punk is not dead. Listening to the mall pop shit you hear on the radio or TV isn't punk, not even close. I am pretty sure that is pop, or poop if you will. The Holy Ghostriders make genuine rock that will make the godfathers of punk proud; music with feeling and emotion. You can almost hear the blood coming out of their amps. Those aren't vocals you hear, it is sweat, amplified through a mic. Those aren't drums, that is the sound of hard work and slaving away in your personal jail - time spent in captivity - all so you can go out and get fucked up to forget the shitty life you lead. Punk like The Holy Ghostriders is pure, heartfelt and tough as nails, something with some balls. Fast Track Heart Attack is the blazing debut album from Minneapolis's The Holy Ghostriders. It is an action packed, alcohol-fueled slab of punk rock. Sing along anthems and fist pumping jams will keep this record in your rotation for quite some time, or until you pass out. The band comes from the ashes of two of the Twin Cities best hard-core acts, Holding On and Martyr AD. The passion and fury from the boy's previous ventures is very apparent on Fast Track Heart Attack. This time around, it is more of a party, adding a pop flair to their hard-core roots. Combining speed with hot guitar licks, and sing along opportunities, the Ghostriders keep the sweat pouring throughout the twelve cuts on Fast Track Heart Attack.

Died: 05 January 2006 American rhythm 'n blues guitarist, best known as founder of "Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band", in which he changed his stage name to Alex St. Clair. (Following an obscure set of credit errors on [r638859], his stage name then continued to be mis-credited from 1971 with the 'Snouffer' appendage he had intentionally dropped.) Snouffer later worked with Denny King, recording the "Evil Wind Blowin'" album along with ex-bandmate [a530617] and Exiles' drummer Greg Hampton. Snouffer departed [a816783] in early 1968 when their finances were at an all-time low. He supported his wife Jane and new baby by becoming a truck-driver. In later life he had increasing problems with alcohol addiction, passing through a number of jobs & rehab, before returning to Lancaster. He was found dead in his apartment in January 2006.

Geirmundur stofnaði síðan eigin hljómsveit 1971, Hljómsveit Geirmundar Valtýssonar, sem hann hefur starfrækt og verið hljómsveitarstjóri fyrir allar götur síðan. Hljómsveitin lék fyrst mikið á sveitaböllum á Norðurlandi og Austurlandi. Árið 1972 söng Geirmundur eigin lög inn á tvær tveggja laga plötur sem Tónaútgáfan á Akureyri gaf út. Á þessum plötum voru lögin Bíddu við, og Nú er ég léttur, en hljómsveitin Trúbrot annaðist undirleik: „Þessi lög slógu svo rækilega í gegn að hljómsveitin fór að spila um allt land. Þá varð ekki aftur snúið. Við höfðum þá meira en nóg að gera, hvort heldur sem var á sveitaböllum, í Reykjavík eða á öðrum þéttbýlisstöðum.“ Hljómsveit Geirmundar hefur síðan leikið fyrir dansi og er enn að. Þá hefur hljómsveitin leikið á Kringlukránni frá 2003.

Search Add 2 谷口雅春 Masaharu Taniguchi (谷口 雅春) Masaharu Taniguchi (谷口 雅春, Taniguchi Masaharu, 22 November 1893 – 17 June 1985) was a Japanese New Thought leader, founder of [a=Seicho-No-Ie]. He began studying English literature at the Waseda University, Tokyo. In parallel, he also studied the works of Fenwicke Holmes, and subsequently translated Holmes' book, The Law of Mind in Action into Japanese. In 1929, after much study and contemplation, he reported having received a divine revelation followed by the healing of his daughter. This led in 1930 to the creation of a magazine, Seicho-no-Ie ("home of infinite life, wisdom, and abundance"). The movement grew during the 1930s, although was suppressed during World War II. In 1952, he co-authored a book with Fenwicke Holmes titled The Science of Faith. Taniguchi died in a Nagasaki hospital on June 17, 1985, at the age of ninety-one.
