Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Renfro | Los Angeles-based [l192912] and [l526038] were the brainchild of owner Tony Renfro, a "frustrated" R&B vocalist who formed the label after both Sam Cooke and James Brown told him he was in fact a terrible singer. Undaunted, he channeled his earnings as a grocery store bagger into making records with a staff who included songwriter Ronald Saunders and arranger Arthur Wright, and while Renfro never cracked the charts, its output is widely celebrated among connoisseurs of classic soul. |

Search | Add | 9 | Dustin Gill | Dustin Gill (born November 2nd, 1994), known professionally as Drawn To The Sky, is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer. Painted by a brilliant cascade of vibrant colors and raw emotion, Dustin uses a form of alchemy to transmute deep, relatable feelings and experiences into the medium of music. Fusing stylistic elements of both punk-rock and hip-hop, Dustin started making music in an effort to escape the realities of growing up “different” in small-town Minnesota. Generally secluded from others, he developed a variety of skills & talents, most notably playing the electric guitar. Around age 17 he started to experiment with singing and writing his own songs, mainly about love/heartbreak, and his experience growing up in a separated familythe pains and heartaches of growing up. In March 2018 he released his debut EP titled Dream Trauma. Since then, Dustin has been making music under the artist name Drawn To The Sky, reflecting his endless ambition to reach athe higherst level of human consciousness and personal growthpersonal growth and human consciousness.

Search | Add | 9 | Big Dan Starr | Estle Don Linebarger | Lead singer "Big Dan" Starr certainly had a colorful relationship with his own identity... The Dan Starr persona was one of many he used during his lifetime, including several variations of his birth name, Estle Don Linebarger (1937-2004). Mr. Linebarger was born in Missouri and as a teen he performed on local radio and played around in a hillbilly band called the Ozark String Dusters. Linebarger joined the Army in the late 'Fifties and played European gigs in a serviceman's band that included Tommy Cash, Johnny Cash's brother. (Or at least that's what he told the Orlando Sentinel when they profiled him in 1973). He started writing music as a teen, copyrighting at least one song in mid-'Fifties, and released a few singles between 1968-73, including a UFO conspiracy anthem ("Captain Tom Martell") and a patriotic song, "Bugle Boy," which he dedicated to Vietnam War-era POWs. At some point, he may have lived in Nashville, and in the late '60s was playing clubs around Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware. Around 1968, he led a group called the Rustlers, which he later changed to the Hometowners. Going by the name Starr, Mr. Linebarger eventually moved to Florida, establishing himself as a bandleader and television host, fronting a group known as the Hometowners USA. |

Search | Add | 9 | Charles A. Glenn Jr. | Charles Alexander Glenn Jr. | At the age of 15, Charles Alexander Glenn, Jr. began carving out his part of Nashville music folklore. While still in high school, he played music at every opportunity as the bassist for a cover band called [a=The Endeavors]. When school was finished, the band decided to challenge the music scene in Los Angeles and try to get signed by a major recording company. Discouraged after two years with no recording deal, the members of the Endeavors went back to their roots in Nashville. Now that Charles had experienced the Los Angeles music scene, he felt sure that he had discovered the "recipe" that would work to land a recording contract. He wasted no time in bringing together all of his Nashville music friends. When the instrumental and vocal blend was absolutely perfect, they all 'knew'. This band could climb the mountain to stardom in LA. They would be called [a=Ozone (5)]. The new band was recognized by music icon [a=Billy Preston] who snatched them up to be his personal band. After touring over two years with Preston, they were signed to a recording contract by [l=Motown] Records where they created and released five Ozone albums and became the "house band" for several acts on the Motown roster. Ozone recorded and toured with [a=Teena Marie], [a=Debarge], [a=Sammy Davis, Jr.] and [a=Luther Vandross] among others. Being everybody's "house band" at Motown had its advantages, but it didn't focus on advancing Ozone's public recognition and definitely hindered the group from becoming a household name. Ozone had created the sound and magic for everybody else, while their careers were put on "back burner" status by the marketing machine at Motown. Without the company giving them radio and tour support, Ozone disbanded. Charles moved to Europe and immediately went to work touring and recording exclusively as the bassist for Billy Preston. Charles was also offered a position in [a=Little Richard]'s band and over two decades later, plays every show, recording date and television appearance with Little Richard. In between tours, Charles worked in his LA area studio, arranging and producing music for clients like Disney Records, for which he worked on "For Our Children", including artists [a=Paul McCartney], [a=Elton John] and [a=Paula Abdul]. Charles arranged, played the instruments and produced the hit single "Itsy Bitsy Spider" on that album for his long-time mentor, Little Richard. These days, Charles is up to another project altogether: The first in a series of Charles Glenn albums was released in late August 2007 (The Bass King). This music is a "compilation of a lifetime of experiences and styles". A second album has been scheduled to be released early in 2008 to coincide with tours with an all-star band. Charles has never lost his passion for live performance. |

Search | Add | 9 | Michael Moxham | Michael Moxham | Born on July 25, 1978 in Cooperstown, NY, Michael Moxham was musically inclined for the very beginning. As a small child, he would spend hours in front of his parents’ 8 track or turntables, fiddling with the dials on the car radio, or enjoying his favorite toy, the Fisher Price record player. As time passed this passion only grew, and while the equipment evolved, the essence remained the same. By 17, Saint Michael was known as one of the DC area’s premier up and coming junglists and played weekly at events up and down the East Coast. He soon became interested in scratching/turntablism and SaintMic/ST/MiC was born, blessing the microphone with lyricism, while still remaining firmly ensconced in production and work behind the wheels of steel. By the mid 2000’s, ST/MiC had a number of regular gigs both on the tables and the mic in the DMV area, including a weekly in Fredericksburg, as well as frequent spots at Jessie Tittsworth’s now legendary Krunk events. From ’04-’06, there were frequent collaborations, production for other artists, and the release of several EPs, including those of friends Jazz Addixx. 2009 and 10 would prove equally busy with releases on DigiCrates Records, Japan’s Libyus Music (alongside artists like Nujabes and Fat Jon), and production and engineering credits including Moka Only, Muneshine, Has-Lo and many other well known artists in the indie hip hop scene. In 2011, Mike’s musical explorations took him down yet another new avenue. Having just finished hosting a 52 episode underground hip hop and beat phantasmagoria radio show series , Scrunch Face, Mike adopted a new moniker, SaintLike, to match the new direction. With his very first dubstep remix winning a remix contest for French producer LaTourette and landing on an EP on Beatport in early 2012, the rest of the year would bring more sonic noodlings into the deeper side of bass. As part of the One Love Massive collective, SaintLike continues to bring his genre-defying, “let’s push things forward” sounds to the aurally-inclined. His prolific release schedule continues to bless the mic and pay homage to subwoofer science. |

Search | Add | 9 | Diastolic Murmurs | The Diastolic Murmurs (sometimes also known as Diastolic M) formed themselves in 1985 during electro-acoustic research within Phillip Wachsmann's legendary Electronic Music studio (now demolished) at the City Literary Institute, Room 53, Keeley House, Keeley Street, London WC2 Primarily their aesthetic was to explore as fully as possible the "occult" sound-world inherent in any given object or material (with a preference for the damaged, broken, and discarded) and their extraction or autopsy with the use of contact microphones. In the mid 1980's they performed what they termed "Live" Electronic Dissections, turning their microcosm into a macrocosm, acutely aware perhaps of Artaud's call for "sounds that cannot be endured" In their 30+ years career they have collaborated and performed with Dr Edward Scheer, Michael Prime, Furt, Clive Graham, and more recently with artist and writer Douglas Park, stylist and fetish film director Phoenix Blu-Coyle and (Dr) Jonathan Bohman of Secluded Bronte.
