Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 9 | Michael Moxham | Michael Moxham | Born on July 25, 1978 in Cooperstown, NY, Michael Moxham was musically inclined for the very beginning. As a small child, he would spend hours in front of his parents’ 8 track or turntables, fiddling with the dials on the car radio, or enjoying his favorite toy, the Fisher Price record player. As time passed this passion only grew, and while the equipment evolved, the essence remained the same. By 17, Saint Michael was known as one of the DC area’s premier up and coming junglists and played weekly at events up and down the East Coast. He soon became interested in scratching/turntablism and SaintMic/ST/MiC was born, blessing the microphone with lyricism, while still remaining firmly ensconced in production and work behind the wheels of steel. By the mid 2000’s, ST/MiC had a number of regular gigs both on the tables and the mic in the DMV area, including a weekly in Fredericksburg, as well as frequent spots at Jessie Tittsworth’s now legendary Krunk events. From ’04-’06, there were frequent collaborations, production for other artists, and the release of several EPs, including those of friends Jazz Addixx. 2009 and 10 would prove equally busy with releases on DigiCrates Records, Japan’s Libyus Music (alongside artists like Nujabes and Fat Jon), and production and engineering credits including Moka Only, Muneshine, Has-Lo and many other well known artists in the indie hip hop scene. In 2011, Mike’s musical explorations took him down yet another new avenue. Having just finished hosting a 52 episode underground hip hop and beat phantasmagoria radio show series , Scrunch Face, Mike adopted a new moniker, SaintLike, to match the new direction. With his very first dubstep remix winning a remix contest for French producer LaTourette and landing on an EP on Beatport in early 2012, the rest of the year would bring more sonic noodlings into the deeper side of bass. As part of the One Love Massive collective, SaintLike continues to bring his genre-defying, “let’s push things forward” sounds to the aurally-inclined. His prolific release schedule continues to bless the mic and pay homage to subwoofer science. |

After a few disappointing lessons, self-inspired, John played by ear, teaching himself piano and mandolin. In the 70s the influence of Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, and finally Led Zeppelin fueled John's desire to get his first guitar. His family relocated to Lagos, Nigeria where he was influenced by the Afrobeat rhythms of musicians like King Sunny Ade, which you can hear in his compositions today (Earth Dance). At 14, he attended The American School in Switzerland which became his opportunity test his wings. During the years there he jammed with roommate and future bandmate, Dave Veirs (Interstellar Dust) and became immersed in the music of progressive rock groups such as Yes, ELP, Pink Floyd, Genesis, The Moody Blues, and Mike Oldfield. At the height of the 70s British rock explosion John moved to London and joined a band called Chillum, playing both guitar and organ. Luttrell went from London to Phoenix, Arizona where he studied electronics engineering, to explore his interest in synthesizers and electronic music. In the 80s John played guitar and sang in the Los Angeles-based prog rock trio Helios with boarding school friend Dave Veirs on keyboard and guitar, and Tony Betino on drums, playing numerous gigs in the LA area. John established his own indie label "OtterSong Records" and production company “BasisMedia Communication” in Southern California in the 90's while playing numerous gigs around LA. 2000 saw the release of Underwater Flying Lessons, which was primarily new age piano, with guitar and ambient textures. This was followed up by A Sense of Impending Levitation, which gained popularity with the track “Journey to Farpoint” on college radio stations, especially KSBR in Mission Viejo, California, on the Morning Breeze with host Donna Jo “DJ” Thornton. John was a regular on KSBR’s Morning Breeze Cruise on the Ocean Institute’s Sea Explorer in Dana Point, California, playing his music live on the open sea to dolphins, whales, enthralling the lucky listeners aboard. During this time, he performed at other venues in Southern California, often collaborating with artists such as Dov, Kori Linae Carothers, Jeff Oster and others. In 2005 John collaborated with Russian composer Alex Tiuniaev on the ambient rock project Garden Hose Universe, releasing the EP Falling. In 2007 Luttrell released The Corridors of Time, which originated as the score for the short film The Box, by Steve Deeble, eventually became an official album release. The 2014 release from John is The Dream Exchange, which features John prominently on guitar with acoustic and electric ambient instrumental tracks that follow the theme of the album – the exchange of dreams. The pronunciation of Luttrell is LUTtrell (British) rather than lutTRELL (French). The accent is on LUT, which rhymes with "NUT" and ends the same as "electrical". |

Search | Add | 9 | DJ Distorted Senses | Ben Van Roey | DJ Distorted Senses (Ben van Roey) DJ Distorted Senses is a Belgian Gabber who lives in Antwerp City. He produces and mixes all kinds of Hardcore/Terrorcore/Speedcore. He loves to add psychedelic, trippy and LSD-Sounding influences to his music and tries to do this in experimental styles. He came into the hardcore scene when he was 15 years (1999) old listening to Thunderdome CD's. This was really started by exploring the old terrorcore cd: "Hardcore Electronic Techno - mixed by DJ Freak" He started out using various types of software looking for the most suiting one and first used Cubase eventually was exploring He is now for 19 years active in the Hardcore/Terror scene. Distorted Senses already released several tracks on: - Speedcore Worldwide - Noiseaphonic - Slime city Records - Mechanical Distortion - Digital Gabba Records - Danger Murder Terror - Splitterstorm Records - ExtremeBassCore Records Actually the "ExtremeBassCore Records Record" -label mentioned is created by himself. The label releases: albums, compilations, EP's & mixes in all Hardcore/Gabber-styles but is trying to push the Hardcore/Gabber-styles that has any form of Psychedelic, Trippy or LSD-styled influences in it... He has accounts at music-sites as: - Youtube - Soundcloud - Mixcloud - Bandcamp His life which is 100% Hardcore by being Schizophrenic since he had the age of a 17 years old and the several times he experienced periods in the state of being completely psychotic, those periods led to the state of being in a psychotic state all of the time, but tempered by the use of medication which makes his psychosis into a form that could be considered more as: soft, bearable and a form of state where u keep the ability of having a clear and normal view towards reality... Also the passion for Hardcore music runs deep in his veins. It gave him the strenght he needed to face his "less fortunate" life. And Hardcore was there every day in his life, this as the only imaginable way of living life. This all makes him being worthy to be classified as: !!!100% Hardcore!!! His message in music: To come as hard, fast, to bring bassdrums to the ears that are wicked as hell and all of this madness brought with a touch of psychedelica added to it... Distorted Senses started by using Cubase 5, then he came to use Cubase 8 Pro, but he is looking and exploring things so he can step over into using the FruityLoops20 software. This by looking at and by comparing the two programs completely and by the easier and faster way of working of FL20 which becomes clear after this comparison. Greetz, DJ Distorted Senses -->2018<-- |

Search | Add | 9 | Alex Eisenring | Alex Roger Eisenring Castro | Mexican musician, composer, audio engineer and record producer. A pioneer in rock, prog rock, avant-garde, techno, electronic, soundtrack, and experimental music in Mexico. He started playing covers with a band called [i]La Marioneta Eléctrica[/i] which then in 1973 became a trio, [a7547606], influenced by free jazz, progressive rock and experimental music, with [a7547605] (drums), [a7547627] (bass) and Alex Eisenring (piano, guitar) as the founding members. The band had many different line-ups and instruments, even having up to 13 musicians at the same time. Alex was eager to adopt an electronic style for the band however his partners disagreed, that's why in the same night of 1981, [i]Queso Sagrado[/i] was being dissolved giving its last live show while [a1109492] was being formed by him along with [a4325278] and [a4325277], performing its first live show. Allegedly [m1577327] was the first techno music ever made in Mexico. Around this time, by seeing the inaction of major labels around indie Mexican rock projects, Alex felt motivated to intervene more as a producer to help promoting the underground music scene, that's how he started out some collaborations with [a595604], [a3739126], [a2323291], [a4568664], [a3738097] and [a204112], among others. Due to this lack of economic support, there was a multidisciplinary collaboration of different artists with their different projects not only with music, for example many musicians did also design, production, illustration, photography or typography for other colleague bands and artists, making very interesting concepts of musical styles and influences, art, culture and multimedia. In 1985, upon the disbandment of [i]Syntoma[/i], he also began to learn computer programming and building, mainly as a job, but with the aim of having a high-tech recording studio of his own and as a perhaps cheaper way to obtain a [i]Synclavier[/i] or a [i]Fairlight CMI[/i]: homemade. He began then to work as an engineer out of necessity, as there were no engineers specialized in experimental and electronic styles. In 1992 the first digital recording (with no tapes) in Mexico was being made in his home studio by his project [a4352070], co-founded by Alex with [a2185680] and [a724995]. In 2010, after being around twenty years inactive, just working in 3D animation, video editing and graphic design, he was invited by [a896838] and [a1272488] to collaborate with [a204112]. By 2012 they were performing for [a2608026] short films live projections as well as other silent short films from surreal cinema movement. In his most recent projects he co-founded, with [a233176] after his return to Mexico from being in NYC around thirty years, [a963983] and [a5658993]. |

Search | Add | 9 | Cash Money Brothas | Cash Money Brothas were a duo out of East Chicago who consisted of "Ponyboy" and "Kaoss". They started making mixtapes in their home when they were in their early 20's. Their "CMB Hip-Hop Megamix" tape series spanned 12 volumes in all and became quite popular in Gary, IN and Chicago, IL where you could find them being sold at local record stores that specialized in dance and hip-hop music. Sometimes they would sell the tapes themselves to fans for only $5 a pop. These tapes stood out at the time as they would use vinyl records to mix the songs, beats and rhythms and then add the finishing touches using sound tools on a Macintosh computer. "The mix itself takes three days to be perfected" said Ponyboy in a 1993 interview. These tapes are now quite rare and sought after by tape collectors. Around the same time the duo was also involved in production duties for the Livin Large Records label out of Chicago. Although there were only a total of 8 releases in all, many of these cuts would make their way to the clubs and House music mixtape circuit. Some were prominently featured by Chicago DJ Bad Boy Bill on his "Hot Mix" tape series. After spending most of the 90's releasing underground mixtapes, Ponyboy eventually became the frontman of the hip-hop trio, "Los Marijuanos", in 1999. | |
