Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

After increasingly replacing its main conductor, Hermann Fliege, for important performances, Wahrlich completely took over the direction of this orchestra in 1907, after Fliege death. In 1902, when the orchestra began to give public performances, Wahrlich started an annual concert series introducing new works by Russian composers. In 1909, for example, Wahrlich directed the Russian debut of [a= Alexander Scriabine]'s "Le Poème de l’Extase." Wahrlich himself composed the march Наследник Цесаревич (“Naslednik Tsarevich”) in honor of Grand Prince Alexei (1913). Around 1903, Wahrlich conducted the Imperial Court Orchestra on several recordings for [l=Columbia]. Later, he also recorded for [l=Amour] and [l=Zonophone]. After the Russian Revolution, Wahrlich was allowed to stay on for a while with what became Soviet Russia's first philharmonic orchestra, but only as Assistant Conductor. From 1919 to his death, he conducted military brass bands in Petrograd. |

Search | Add | 5 | Warred | Warred was founded in 2012 by young band members and long time friends Arthur Ernandes and Rodrigo Andrade. They both shared the same passion for old school metal bands such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest and more, they formed a band pursuing the fiery and furious sound of the old guard, bringing that to the modern times back then. The band began recording their debut EP ‘Wild Legion’ in 2013, but feeling their music needed more time to shape its style, it took a few years from that to come back with a stable line up consisting of Pedro Mion (vocals), Arthur Ernandes (guitar), Rodrigo Andrade (guitar), Jorge Nascimento (drums) and Espiga (bass). This is the lineup who recorded two singles “Beneath The Sea” and “Where I Belong” in 2019 and now coming with a brand new song “Behind The Mask” that is featured on the band’s first ever video. The band is now in process of songwriting for their debut record which is due to be recorded and released in Q4 2020. It fuses its old school style with their new found influences such as Gojira, Mastodon, Opeth and more, but all band members have different musical backgrounds such as hardcore, punk and more. With that said, the debut album will come with an unique and constant evolving sound. Warred was also, in part time, an Iron Maiden cover band. The guys in Warred not only payed its tribute to one of the biggest bands in history, but also did it with so much maestry that the band began to being noticed in cover festivals around Sao Paulo and won a major championship of cover bands by unanimty from a body of highly specialized jurors, giving the band the right of being the resident band of some reputable and internationally recognized night clubs in Sao Paulo such as Blackmore.

Search | Add | 5 | Karraskilla | Juan Karraskilla | Karraskilla's sound is thick with shadows of his past adventures in rock, funk, and Latin jazz - enough to be dubbed by one artist as "classic psychedelic in a modern package". His productions have also been described as "pretty wild", and "no hype, no recipe, just fresh unexpected surprising music." by others. With a mouth-watering melodic groove and spine tingling Detroit-infused bass lines, Karraskilla always promise a danceable sound for a hungry crowd. In 2008, he co-founded the popular New York City-based Biatch Corp Recordings label with Alvaro Bueno AKA Pito, the label's debut release was also Karraskilla's first. Entitled "Su Merced el Pimp" with remixes from Jussi Pekka and Perc, his debut was " ..a highly danceable and equally enjoyable affair" according to 365Mag. Fine tuning his skills as a DJ, he played top New York nightclubs such as Studio B, Sullivan Room, and Cielo before releasing "Tren Siete Expreso Cali" on Biatch Corp with remixes from Brendon Moeller and Pawas. De-Bug called that one "[a] very fine and surprisingly deep plate". His third release, "La Estancia con Mi Amigo el Efimero", got some serious buzz last fall. Big room flavor, different, weird, unexpected, awesome, spooky & wild, were some of the words used to describe Biatch Corp's sixth release. Karraskilla' latest EP - "Premium Traditional” is to be release on Nov 19th, 2010 with two originals and a remix from Ascii Disko. He also has a remix due out on Hidden Recording's highly anticipated follow-up to their much talked-about new single. He also has a spate of high quality unreleased tunes he is currently polishing up for release in 2011. |

Search | Add | 5 | Funky Monkey 141 | DJ, Producer, from Malta, born 14 July 1998. Owner of [l=141 Records]. Ever being in love with music, he began to study Althorn and piano getting great results. He was only 14 when he started finding his best musical expression through electronic music, and so he started to DJ. He’s also a producer, a job he considers different from that of a DJ, indeed the studio activity is based on a detailed research of updated sounds. Synth and drum-machine are some of his passions which he cannot help but use, considering essential the need of the hardware. At the age of 17 he launched his first single, “Back In Town”, which is part of his upcoming debut album The BIGinning. Funky Monkey was in the proses of signing a record deal, but since he refused to give a genre to his Tracks, the deal was not accepted. Therefore this meant that despite the music was accepted and up to all standards with the label’s releases because the music was not marketed in a specific genre it got rejected. In today’s society and social inclusion do music genre help? and 1st of all do we rely need to put music and art in boxes? With this mindset he started questioning why was he trying to sign himself with a label that has a boxed vision for music. This was the star of the 141 Records, seeing music as art irrespective of the genre. Another single from the album, "The BIGinning" was released in September 2017, along with its music video. This single, with Russian born artist Abel Nesian, is titled Robustus. Funky Monkey is also the producer for: Oxygyn, REA, Iviè Skies along side other artist and other side project. Funky Monkey's latest single "Let It Fly" ft. Katia Abela and Maria Ellul, with is part of the 141 universe.

Search | Add | 5 | A. P. Stenglar | August P. Stenglar | Gustave August Cercello Stengler was the primary clarinet soloist in Sousa's Band from 1892 to 1897 and, at the time, was already famous by virtue of his performances with the Gilmore Band. During his time with the Sousa Band, Stengler was featured fifty-one times, including thirty-two solo, five duet, and fourteen trio/quartet appearances. He most often performed fantasies on opera themes like Verdi’s Rigoletto and Bellini’s La Sonnambula, and occasionally played an encore, like Schumann’s Traumerei. Stengler regularly soloed with the band at both the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago and the annual series of concerts held at Manhattan Beach, New York. He was often featured with other members of the band including clarinetist Joseph Norrito, flutist Frank Wadsworth, oboist Robert Messinger, flutist Giacomo (Jack) Norrito, and horn player Bernhardt Baumgartel. They most often performed Val Hamm’s “The Three Gossips” for clarinet, oboe, and flute (“The Four Gossips” if performed with horn). Newspaper reviews of the Sousa Band concerts describe Stengler’s brilliant clarinet playing. In a concert review from 1892, the Woonsocket Call from Woonsocket, RI wrote, “The clarinet solo by Signor Stengler was one of the gems of the concert; it received warm applause.” After a Sousa Band concert on Sunday, November 20, 1892 at Boston’s Broadway Theatre, on which Stengler performed Baermann’s Concerto for Clarinet, the Boston Globe wrote, “A solo for clarinet by Signor Stengler revealed the possibilities of that instrument when in the hands of a master.” Furthermore, Stengler was one of the first clarinetists to be recorded as a soloist in America. In 1897 and 1898 Stengler participated in recording sessions for the Berliner disc label. He recorded sixteen solo pieces and eight duets with clarinetist George McNeice. Several of the solo pieces recorded by Stengler were also the solos that he performed with the Sousa Band, including an arrangement of Bellini’s La Sonnambula (Berliner 341) and Bishop’s “Lo, Here the Gentle Lark” (Berliner 319). Other pieces he recorded included nostalgic songs like Foster’s “Old Folks at Home,” Bishop’s “Home, Sweet Home,” and the popular “Blue Bells of Scotland.” Stengler also composed music, including a solo clarinet piece entitled, “Fantasy on Mercadante’s Il Giuramento.” He apparently left the band because of a problem with alcohol; the Salt Lake City Tribune reported in 1901, “Herr Stengler, the former solo clarinet player with the band, is with the band no more. ‘Ach zu viele booze,’ was the explanation one musician gave ere leaving for the West yesterday. A man cannot drink and tend to business in any line of action.” |

Search | Add | 5 | Kiowarini | François Vincent | Also called Kiowarini (his traditional name), François Vincent is a Wendat First Nations singer-songwriter. His name means "he who sings the soul of his people". Francophone songwriter, he is famous in Quebec for his pioneering work and his unique family heritage: ...the artist comes from the family of Prosper Vincent, the first Catholic priest Wendat (Huron) ordained in 1870 and one of the last speakers of the Wendat language. François Vincent studied singing at the Académie des Trois Arts in Quebec, and then recorded his first album, Kiowarini, in 1973. His famous song Le Huron vagabond made him a star of his generation and a Wendat cultural ambassador. Attached to revitalizing, researching, interpreting and documenting the traditional songs of his nation, he participates in numerous films, documentaries and television shows. He was notably invited to speak during the celebration of the Great Peace of Montreal in 2001. His song La Huronne, composed by Huot and Lavigueur, is a Wendat national anthem.
