Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | SoulBrigada | SoulBrigada was founded in 2009 by the german artists & musicians Alex D. and Fabio V. With this project they want to pull down stereotyped thinking and musical barriers and present a wide range of various music. As the name SoulBrigada associates Soulmusic is obligatory for them but they’re not limited to this genre – the main point is the SOUL in the music. Moving between Beats & Breaks, Global Grooves, Electronica, Disco & Rare Groove, the listener can always expect an exciting and versatile trip. This passion has also led to music production, which has accumulated a considerable number of releases over the years. It all started in 2011 when their first production, a remix of a song by the 'Gilles Peterson Havana Cultura Band' was officially released on a limited & exclusive vinyl EP. Further releases followed on KAT45, Matasuna Records, Légère Recordings, Resense and Samosa Records. More releases will see the light of day in the near future. In summer 2016 the own label Matasuna Records was launched, which is specialized in reissuing rare music from all over the world, but also doesn't disregard great contemporary music. The label has built up an excellent reputation among music connoisseurs over the years, so that many of the vinyl releases are already sold out.

Search | Add | 3 | Trash Can Boy | Hello, I'm Can Tan. I have been surrounded by music since I was a kid, as the child of a father who studied western classical music, whose main instrument was bassoon . I love to forming, deforming, creating and destroying. I am not a musician that tries to meet the expectations of the market, I always try to distance myself from such extinctions. I feel/know that I stand with the dreamers and unruly, who are essential for the continuity of the development of any art form. I played in many with bands and albums: Mai, Toz ve Toz, Duygusal Provokasyon, Motorrmoose, Cem Tan Quintet, Robotik Hayaller are a few them. After a short break from the urban life and music, I started composing my solo albums between 2019-20; "Dunkelheit im Horizont", "Soul Path" and "Home Series" were released by Shalgam Records.

Search | Add | 3 | Trespassenger | Trespassenger introduces a fresh-sounding dynamic metal music, which is a combination of metal genre cross-section and various elements from other genres. This creates a unique style of music, which Trespassenger is known for. Trespassenger started as a hobby of five childhood friends, which has evolved to a musical act that shakes underground metal scene all over Finland. For over a decade these same guys have managed to keep their friendship warm and stable, which makes the band year after year stronger than ever. As youngsters, Trespassenger managed to win some large field band competitions in Finland such as Nuori Kulttuuri –music contest and survived to finals of honoured Ääni ja Vimma –music contest year 2007. Guys found it out pretty soon that they have potential which should not be wasted. Hard work made profit. So far, Trespassenger has been supporting several Finnish frontline metal acts on their gigs, such as Mokoma, Diablo and Insomnium to mention but a few. Trespassenger has made several dozen of gigs, including some big venues such as Nummirock 2010, which has made Trespassenger also a strong live act. During the past decade, Trespassenger has also been active in studio publishing several promo records publishing them in various formats for people to hear. And yet more is coming…stay tuned!

Search | Add | 3 | A-Train Gang | Catch The Next Train! A lot of people equate Seattle with the typical imprints left by sports coverage and general media. These would include rain, coffee, salmon and large and diverse community rich with music history. These are NOT the characteristics that define the Seattle A-Train Gang grew up in. Much lesser known on a wide scale is the gritty, local detriment that was Holly Park. A crime riddled housing project that maintained a cluster of underprivileged families. Drugs flowed through the intertwining streets, graffiti tagged the fences, and hope lived on the other side of town. THIS was the 1980s scene that raised Train. When the ceiling is low, you tend to bump your head a lot. A-Train Gang was no stranger to mistakes and troubles that plague urban youth. With only alcoholics, gang members, and drug dealers/addicts as role models, if you're lucky enough to make it to 21, you will make it there the hard way. Train was no different as he saw his fair share of run-ins with the law coupled with the frequent loss of family and friends either to homicide, drug abuse, or the penal system. In 2004, after slamming into a few dead ends, Train decides to go full speed ahead into his rap career. He joined the super group Lac of Respect and became acquainted with Seattle's underground, independent rap scene. The following year, just as he was getting into the swing of things, Johnny Law slapped the cuffs on Train and shipped him off to fulfill a prison sentence of seven years. This didn't stop him from releasing his debut album “The Train Stops Here”. After his lengthy stay, in 2011 A-Train Gang hit the streets hard and began churning out tracks to piece together mix-tapes to be released in his own imprint: Gunclap Rap Enterprises. He dropped “Went Solo: Finally Buster Free” in the summer of 2013 and quickly followed up by releasing “Orange October” that same year. A-Train Gang maintains that working through his music has helped him to stay focused as he vents the frustration that he acquired in his childhood. We all can relate. Now, after a busy and productive 2014 arranging a network and strengthening contacts, Train is in a position to break into a larger scene with the necessary support and expand his audience. If you aren't competing to be the best, why are you in the game? Train hopes for stardom and his efforts and continued pursuit speak to this determination. As long as Superman doesn't show up, no one can stop this Train.

It has the distinction of being the only full-time regional professional orchestra in Canadian history. The orchestra was formed shortly after the demise of both the Halifax Symphony Orchestra and New Brunswick Symphony Orchestra. Seeing a need for a full-time professional symphony in the Atlantic region, the orchestra was established by joint committees in Halifax, Sydney, Saint John, Moncton, and Fredericton on 12 June 1968. Conductor Klaro Mizerit led the orchestra from 1968–1977 and conductor Victor Yampolsky led the orchestra from 1977 until the orchestra's demise due to financial problems in 1983. The orchestra made several commercial recordings in the 1970s and was featured on numerous broadcasts on CBC Radio Symphony Nova Scotia rose from it's ashes.

Search | Add | 3 | The Dae-B-Four | West London mod group active in the mid sixties. Disbanded early 1967. The following info sourced from https://garagehangover.com/daebfour/ Brothers Rex and Brian Brayley had first come to prominence with Tony Liddle & the Lads, a Hounslow band formed in 1962. The band also comprised singer Tony Liddle, bass player Roger Sidey and drummer Yan Kuttlevasher. In mid-1964, Sheffield drummer Kenny Slade replaced Kuttlevasher after playing with Dave Berry & The Cruisers. When Tony Liddle left soon after, the group became The Dae-b-Four. Not long after the name change, the musicians were joined by new lead singer Jimmy Trimmer. Then in early 1965, Bob Carpenter took over from Kenny Slade on drums. Slade joined The Sheffields and later worked with Joe Cocker. Carpenter didn’t stay very long, however, and Bobby Dean from rival Hounslow band, The Stringbeats took over that spring. Dean introduced his friend, singer Iain Pitwell, who took over from Jimmy Trimmer when he departed. However, Dean left in August 1965 to work with another local group, The Valkeries. Malcolm Randall from Rey Anton & The Peppermint Men took his place briefly. The line-up remained steady until November 1965 when John Kerrison came in on drums after playing in Germany with The Horizons. Kerrison had previously been a member of Frankie Reid & The Casuals and The Rocking Eccentrics. Malcolm Randall later reunited with Pitwell in The All Night Workers in October 1967 after working as a freelance drummer and The Missing Links in the interim. The new line up lasted until about August 1966 when Kerrison departed and subsequently joined Mick Liddell & Gli Atomi in Rome, Italy. The band recorded the track “La Mia Inghilterra”, after which Kerrison returned to the UK. By February 1967, Kerrison had linked up with Johnny Kidd’s former band, The Pirates. He then played with Episode Six and The Beachcombers. The Dae-b-Four carried on with another drummer. In March 1967, Rex Brayley struck gold when he joined The Love Affair. Iain Pitwell meanwhile reunited with Malcolm Randall in The All Night Workers in October 1967.

Prins Bernhard | Bernhard Leopold Frederik Everhard Julius Coert Karel Godfried Pieter | Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld (29 June 1911 – 1 December 2004), later Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands, was prince consort of Queen Juliana of the Netherlands. During World War II the German-born prince was part of the London based Allied war planning councils and an active RAF wing commander flying both fighter and bomber planes into combat. He was a Dutch general and supreme commander of the Dutch Armed forces, involved in negotiating the terms of surrender of the German army in the Netherlands. For proven bravery, leadership and loyalty during his wartime efforts he was awarded the rank of knight commander in the chivalric Military William Order, the oldest and highest honour in the Netherlands. After the War he was also made honorary Air Marshal of the RAF by Queen Elizabeth II. In 1969, Bernhard was awarded the Grand Cross, Special Class of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. Bernhard helped found the World Wildlife Fund (later renamed World Wide Fund for Nature), becoming its first president in 1961, and in 1970 establishing the WWF's "1001 Club: A Nature Trust", as a fundraiser. In 1954, he was a co-founder of the international Bilderberg Group, which has met annually since then to discuss corporate globalization and other issues concerning Europe and North America. He was forced to step down from both groups after being involved in the Lockheed Bribery Scandal. |

Search | Add | 3 | 'Sisterly Wanking | Founded as a duo by Shird Leopart and Ella Excèntrica in October 2009, 'Sisterly Wanking hurts the lines between the Prog, Leftfield and Musique Concrète genres. The pair has kept the project into an ameurist practice to avoid the obvious "cult-like following" program. Citing Stockhausen, Dome, The Residents & Throbbing Gristle as influences, 'Sisterly Wanking injects a dadaist mind into pieces otherwise doomed to loneliness, creating an interesting mix of post and proto but bright all inside. The music initially appears rather unbalanced, but finally reveals fully bashed-out tracks that are genuinely untouchable.

Search | Add | 3 | Sgt. 6 Assault | Punk band from NYC, USA. Sgt. 6 Assault are the [a=The Dummies (2)] without [a=Lone Twister], relocated in New York City. Sgt 6 (aka Mark Henry) - vocals, guitar Rock Bottom (aka Dan Henry) - drums Subarton (aka Chris Subarton) - bass "The Dummies moved to NYC in 1996, shortly after recording their full length debut on Get Hip. Months later, the band decided they hated the way their ambitiously recorded album ended up being produced. They then got lean, mean, yet remained unclean, aiming for a heavier sound. Sgt 6 took over all guitar duties, while Subarton hopped over to bass. As a three piece, the band changed their name to the Sgt 6 Assault to drop the sloppy garage moniker/stigma. The band create the sound of true drug-addled, hate-inspired, precision punk rock in the form of one minute tunes... the sound that began echoing within the minds of these once-rural-now-urban transplantees. They first released a 5 song 7" EP through their own label, 007 Records; uncorked the second as a limited issue, one-sided jukebox single; then cut a tune for Philadelphia’s Carbon 14 Magazine. For their fourth release, the Assault recorded 2 cuts just prior to their collapse. Originally intended for Bag of Hammers Records, this never came to fruition; the 7" was released years later on Rapid Pulse Records".

Search | Add | 3 | The Fireworks Factory | The Fireworks Factory formed in late 1984, in Dublin Ireland. One of the forgotten bands of its time. The Fireworks Factory were formed from the ashes of Ambition in Glass, who in 1982 release a 12" single on Rough Trade Records, tracks included When Allison When & And It Rains, produced by Colin Richardson (The Chameleons). The Firework's had a broad range of influences from The Cure, The Cult, The Sisters, The Mission to Echo and The Bunnymen who many would say sounded alike. The Firework's released five Demo tapes, toured all over Europe and supported many big name bands of its time. like "The Thomson Twins.", " Everything but the Girl", "Aztec Camera", Blue in Heaven", "Light a Big Fire" to name a few. The band enjoyed much Radio Airplay in Ireland on Capital Radio and RTE's Dave Fanning show. In 1986 The band recorded a Three track Demo "Under Glass" which was produced by Paul Thomas (Engineer on U2's Boy Album) and Jacknife Lee (who now produces REM and U2). In 1987 the band nearly signed to EMI Records, but after some early recordings with EMI in London, nothing was released and no deal was signed, the band split up in early 1988 and left some wonderful music behind them, but now where back "Alive N' Kicking".
