Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Wizzards Of Rock Wizzards Of Rock (MC Sheeck and B-Boy Hutch) Sheeck has been in the Hip Hop game since the 80's. He was an original member of the infamous group “Above The Law”, doing production on several tracks and having a highly influential impact on the group. Due to contractual disagreements, Sheeck and Above The Law parted ways as a group. As Above The Law continued on, Sheeck stayed busy behind the scenes producing and writing for himself, Above The Law and other groups alike. Through a long journey in the music industry, often taking a back seat on his own career, Sheeck has since emerged with his solo album “UnderGround Hog” , released in 2007, with the first single “Crazy” featuring Suga Free. After hooking back up with fellow Pomona producer, Tony “TouchTone” Isaac, the two collaborated on a few tracks and Sheeck followed through with his own production on the rest of the album. Not only showing the mastery of his music production skills, Sheeck displays an ability like no other on his lyrical style and content. Once you hear his music, you can clearly see that this artist is a seasoned vet and not a newcomer to Hip Hop. Sheeck is now part of a NEW group entitled Dreaded. The Album will release early 2011, while the first sneak peek song is on Youtube entitled "Krooked Letter'r" performed by Rickshaw with Sheeck doing the spoken word. The new project is "conscience" music, meant to stimulate the mind and teach knowledge unlike the brainless mind music out today.

Search Add 3 Let The Guilty Hang Let The Guilty Hang is a modern heavy metal band that was formed in 2005 in the deep dark hills of West Virginia. Initially the band was supposed to be a side project, but they quickly realized their potential and jam sessions turned into a full-fledged band. Daniel Johnson (formerly of Guinness Clarke’s Wine) and Matt “Beevare” Jeffrey (formerly of Lifter) formed the band. The band quickly captured the attention of Derek Maynard who joined the band almost immediately adding his electrifying abrasive vocal tone to the bands already talented roster. The band then sought after a second guitarist in an effort to create Iron Maiden like guitar styling. Joe Baer (formerly of Born For Eternity) was the man for the job. The band was then rounded out with Adam Adkins (formerly of Born For Eternity) he brought not only bass playing to the table, but his voice also, supplying the contrasting clean vocals and backup vocals throughout what has become the bands signature sound. In September of 2007, Let The Guilt Hang released their debut album ‘The Unspeakable’. Opening for bands like Byzantine, As I Lay Dying, The Haunted, All That Remains, Trivium, and August Burns Red the band had quickly made a name for themselves around the region. The band has just recently released their latest album ‘In Tongues’ which was recorded at Domicile Studio in Cross Lanes, WV and was produced by Eric Hayne (The Corinthian, Isla Sorna, Profligation). - Fist, Metal Nexus. The band had split with rhythm guitarist Joe Baer some time after "The Unspeakable" was released and was replaced by Aaron Casey who is credited for certain work on not only "The Unspeakable," but also "In Tongues." He played with the band for an extended amount of time between the two albums playing live as well as writing music, but exited the band before most of the writing was completed for "In Tongues." Tyler Lowe then took the rhythm guitar position and is credited for most rhythm guitar sections on the new album, but shortly after In Tongues was released Tyler had also left the band after just a small stint of live shows. Cody Frye was next to step up to the position who is the band's current rhythm guitarist completing the current lineup of the band. The band has yet to release new material under the current lineup.

Search Add 3 Zombies Loves Videogames Matt Gallagher & Julie Rutherford Zombies Loves Videogames was a Chiptune/Emo project based in Port Macquarie, Australia. Founded in 2007 originally by Matt Gallagher and Owen Guttormsen, Matt and Owen created the band as a hobby rather than something serious and released the first EP in 2009 Where would be the only release where Owen would be present since at the end of that year he died from a car accident. After months, Matt decides to recruit Julie Rutherford (A friend who met her on Myspace) and for the following year, they decided to release the first full-length album. The duo released a total of: 2 albums (Pretty Bits Machine and The Living Sprites), 3 EPs (Self Titled, Penguins And Nintendo Games!! and Konami Code) and 1 live-album (Thx U Sm, UK <3) and 1 compilation (Untitled), The project lasted from 2007 to 2014 when Matt and Julie decided to leave the band because they wanted to pursue other projects not related to ZLV. And it wasn't until 2021 that they returned to work on the project and would create new songs again, although so far they haven't released anything yet. •Members• Matt Galmagher (vox, screams, programming) - 2007-present Julie Rutherford (backup vox, keyboard) - 2009-present •Former Members• Owen Guttormsen (keyboard, programming)[deceased] - 2007-2009

Search Add 3 MacroDX I´ve been addicted to synthesizers ever since I´ve heard them for the first time. And we are talking basically analog gear here. However I took a rather disturbing journey through the digital music age, which at the end did not satisfy me at all and eventually lead me to what electronic music really is to me. Analog substractive synthesis, tape delays, spring reverbs and the ambiance introduced by 70´s Sci-Fi movies and the protagonists of krautrock.

Search Add 3 Negate Life Negate Life Negate Life is a hardcore/powerviolence band formed early in 2017 by four kids enraged by the flaws of the neo-liberal society. Drawing on the powerviolence sound forged by band such as Nails, Rotten Sound, Magrudergrind, Weekend Nachos and Sect as well as the Swedish death metal sound, especially the classic “Boss HM2” tone popularized by Entombed, Dismember, Grave and At The Gates, they top it off by adding a bit of Crust Punk and Black metal to the mix resulting in their latest EP, Falsehood, released in 2018. For us, hardcore music is a safe space for everyone who suffers, in any way, of marginalization.

Search Add 3 Cardavercus Took the name Cardavercus in 1998, and led by ex-Severe Warning founder Bryan Renken and main songwriter Ace The Raven in 1998. Formed from the combination of two previous bands. Renken, led by Renken, Ace, Darrin Winne, and Gary "Meat" Vosecky from 1993 to 1994 (which also recruited Mike Marczak in 1994), and 1996-1997, and an unnamed band of Ace, Scott, and Mike that lasted from 1994 to 1996, before they combined into the new Renken lineup in 1996. This lineup would record a 5 song demo in June of 1997 that includes future-Cardavercus songs. This lineup then changed their name to Cardavercus in early 1998, a name that Ace thought of in August of 1997 and was included in a list of possible band names to change Project Raven to, until this project was put on hold to focus on Renken. Under both names, Renken and Cardavercus, they would end up playing some previous Project Raven songs, and newer Ace-penned songs that he would later bring back his solo project after Cardavercus split up. The 1997 demo included "Immune" and "The Secret (Non Omnis Moriar)" and "Life Will Decay", all past Project Raven songs, and after the name change to Cardavercus they would play these as well as "Free" and "Threshold", "The Dark Plan", "Blinded", "The Unseen" and others, many later recorded on the Ace the Raven album "Fortress of Apathy" in 2005. Cardavercus also even played a cover of Nitefall's "Island of Courage... Sea of Despair", which Project Raven and Ace The Raven both also covered, although both versions are unreleased. During the early days of Renken, 1993-1994 they would play many re-structured Severe Warning songs, as well as future-Cardavercus songs such as "Cold Vengeance", "Water Into Wine" and "Dying Day", as well as future Ace The Raven songs such as "Hell Is Above" and "Journey Into Fear". Cardavercus' recorded their debut 4-song demo in early 1999 and independently released it in spring of the same year. Their official press packs of the era list Venom, Mercyful Fate and Sepultura as some of their influences. In late 1999 they went back into Digitrax Recording Studio and began working on their second CD "Cardavercus II: We Return Again, but unfortunately they split up for good during the recording process and it was never completed. In 2005 Ace The Raven re-issued the demo, with a varied front cover and on an enhanced CD with a bonus QuickTime Video clip of the song "Dying Day", recorded in concert in 1999 from one of shows that Severe Warning bassist Darrin Winne played with them for. This is another song that dates back to Renken rehearsals in 1994. After the Renken/Cardavercus lineup of Renken/Ace/Scott/Mike was established Renken started another band as well, called Bat Rastard. This band included both Renken drummers in the band officially, alongside original Severe Warning bassist, Poyzon-founder, future Cardavercus bassist Darrin Winne, and Bryan Renken on guitars and vocals. Bat Rastard recorded a 3 song demo "Bat Rastard Live at Practice", played live onto on 8-Tracks on July 8th 1997, and soon after played their only 2 live shows, with Greg on drums for one and Scott on drums for the other. After their split Darrin would fill in live for several Cardavercus shows in 1998 and 1999, before officially replacing Mike Marczak in 2000 shortly before the band split up.
